Chapter 1: Age Eight; Genesis

Chapter Text

"Excuse me?"

Buddha and Tony were standing infront of Leslie Ling and Dean Watson. The four were discussing an important business matter when Dean got sidetracked and mentioned something about the city's orphanage. "I said, you should go and adopt a kid. The city's orphanage is going to be demolished soon. I've been forcing everyone to adopt a kid." says Dean. "And pray tell, why the fuck would I want a kid, Dean?" Tony said. "Well, maybe not you Tony, but Buddha here is literally a millionaire. He can afford it." Dean took a seat on a nearby chair. "Motherfucker, I already have two kids, I don't even care for them what makes you think I'll care for the one that I'll adopt?" Lang replied, walking over to his wine cellar and pulling out a bottle.

"Maybe you won't, but it feels nice to help a kid." Dean nonchalantly said.

Lang grumbled under his breath, "Fine. Tony, we're going to that damn orphanage tomorrow."

"Holy shit, my head hurts by seeing all these damn kids."

"Tony shut up."

The two opened the gate of the orphanage and went inside. Across the front yard, there were atleast ten kids running around and playing with each other.  When they reached the front door, the kids who were playing noticed them and started talking among theirselves. Lang rolled his eyes when he heard the kids admiring how they look, finally opening the door and approaching the front desk. The lady at the front was sorting out some papers on the desk when she noticed Tony and Lang, immediately recognizing the famous duo.

"Mr. Buddha! It is such a great honour to finally meet you." she said enthusiastically.  She was about to say something more when she was interrupted  by someone pulling the end of her shirt. Next to her, there was a kid who was probably eight years old, messy black hair, lower face covered by a black mask. "Ms. Lara, I made sandwiches with Raymond!" the boy said happily, offering a plate of stacked sandwiches. to the woman. Lara bent down to the kid's height and ruffled his hair. "Thank you so much, Yuno! How about you offer your sandwiches to these men here?" she said, making the boy face Lang and Tony. The young boy looked at Lara for a second before looking at the two men, shyly offering the plate he was holding.  Tony chuckled at the boy's eagerness and took a sandwich, making "hmmm" noises as he ate the sandwich. The boy's eyes lit up when he saw Tony give him a thumbs up. Lang was observing the interaction, noting the boy's hunched over and somewhat malnourished figure. He was about to ask the kid more about himself when another boy interrupted them.

"Yuno, c'mon let's play." A kid with white hair and Russian features said from the doorway. It was obvious the boy was not from around here due to his obvious Russian accent. He seems to be protective of the younger boy, making sure to stand in front of him, glaring at the two grown men. 'The fucking balls on this kid.' Lang thought to himself.  The older boy took Yuno by the hand, guiding him up the stairs.

Lara noticed Lang looking at the two kids, "I'm so sorry about that Mr. Buddha. That was Raymond, he is quite protective of Yuno there." she explained. "I am quite interested in adopting kids. I don't really mind who I'm adopting but it would be nice if  I get to know the kids." Lang said, picking up a leaflet that contains information about the orphanage. "Well, the kids are out in the yard, so if you want to get to know most of them, you can approach them. However, we also allow visitors in the dorms since there are kids who prefer staying indoors."

Tony and Lang went to the dorms with Lara as their guide, "As you can see, the kids share their room with one another. We make sure that they have a great relationship with their roommate as to avoid bullying and to create friendship." she said, "Like I said before, most of the kids are out playing. Here- oh!" she stopped talking when she noticed Raymond and Yuno were in their room. Raymond was playing with his toy gun, pretending to shoot at Yuno's plushies on the bed. Yuno was playing with a gameboy, lying down on Raymond's bed.

"Raymond was originally from Russia. When authorities busted down a Russian syndicate, they saved Raymond from there and put him here in Los Santos under the protective services. The kid was very dangerous and almost put the orphanage at risk. He showed, uhhh, barbaric tendencies." Lara said, crossing her arms. "It was quite a shock when we paired him up with Yuno. The boy is the sweetest kid that I ever handled. He was found by cops, saying that he was roaming the streets of Los Santos. It was so sad to see him break down while eating." she said sadly. "He and Raymond were inseparable the moment they met. It's just mostly good synergy, y'know?"

"I got a bike for my birthday it was so cool I've been riding it everyday!" Yuno's classmate boasted.

It was his school's annual field trip and today they were going to Paleto to go sightseeing near the Alamo Sea. It wasn't his first time going there so it wasn't that exciting for him. "Really? My dad bought me a car for my birthday!" Another kid gloated.

Yuno looked out the bus window to enjoy the scenery, casually chiming in with the kids. "How about you, Yuno? What did you get for your birthday?" his seatmate asked. "Hm? Oh it's nothing special. Uncle Tony gifted me a laptop. Oh! Uncle Dean and Uncle Leslie gifted me chili!" Yuno replied. "Chili? Like the food? Yum!" the classmate asked, laughing at Yuno's confused face. "No, chili. Look, its chili!" He pointed out the window. His classmate just laughed at him and called him silly which made him frown. But it's true. Uncle Dean and Uncle Leslie did gift him Chili, he thought to himself as he stared at the top of Mount Chiliad.

"Mr. Lang, we're gonna go vacation?" he asked the older, holding his hand as his adoptive father assisted him out of the their car. "No, Yuno. We're here to meet Dean and Leslie and they have something to give you so behave, okay?" The older bent down to fix Yuno's windswept hair, reaching in his pocket to pull out Yuno's favorite candy. He handed it to him which Yuno excitedly took, admiring the wrapper. The two were escorted by their bodyguards to their private helicopter where Dean and Leslie were waiting for them. They were all at Fort Zancudo, where military jets were stationed and safer for a private helicopter ride than in the airport.

Yuno waved excitedly when he saw his other two favorite uncles. "Uncle Dean! Uncle Leslie!" He ran up to them, hugging them by the waist, receiving a pat to the head. "We're going to fly?!" He exlclaimed, eyes shining. "Yeah. Hop in kiddo. We're going to Paleto." Dean said as he handed Yuno headsets to protect his ears. Leslie helped him climb up the aircraft, seating next to him and making sure he was all buckled up. "Mr. Lang! We're gonna fly! I'm so excited!" He giggled.

This wasn't the first time he flew in a helicopter before but it makes him excited everytime. Lang chuckled before pulling out his phone and taking a picture of Yuno in his way too big headset thats half of the size of his face. Yuno, who saw Lang taking a picture, widely smiled at the camera, eyes almost closed from how big he smiled. Lang stared at the picture before making it his phone's wallpaper and sending it to Tony.

"Buckle up boys! We're going to the highest point of Los Santos!" Lang ordered to the bodyguards who were in a seperate helicopter.

"Woah. Mr. Lang, we're so high up here." Yuno said as Dean carried him out of the helicopter, setting him down the helipad. "Yuno, be careful. Don't run off without us or without any bodyguards." Lang warned him. Yuno nodded, distracted by the scenery that overlooked Los Santos.

His ability to focus left his body and something on the back of his brain was itching to explore the area. He ran to where an abandoned cable car station, scouting the area. He can hear footsteps behind him, used to the sound of the guards following him wherever he goes. "Mr. Yuno! Please be careful!" One called out. Yuno stopped exploring when he saw the beautiful scenery. "Wow..." he trailed off.

"You like it Yuno?" Lang asked behind him. Yuno nodded in response, still too distracted.

"Well. Luckily for you kiddo, it's all yours." Dean said as well. Yuno snapped out of his trance, facing the three adults who were smiling at him.

"What do you mean Uncle Dean?" Yuno tilted his head in confusion.

"Happy birthday Yuno. Our gift to you is this mountain itself." Leslie said.

"Huh?! Wait really!?" Yuno asked in surprise. Wow a mountain! So cool!

"It's called Mount Chiliad. It's yours, baby." Lang chimed in. Walking near him, bending down to Yuno's age and putting a hand on his shoulder.

"As long as you're in my family, everything you want, anything you need, and anything you can take is all yours. This city is ours, Yuno. This city is your playground, baby." Lang said to him with conviction. Yuno, who definitely understood what Lang said, only focusing on the word 'playground', nodded in excitement.

"Chili-ad!"

Chapter 3: Age Thirteen; Ways to Kill Time

Chapter Text

"Mr. Buddha, the boys are doing their thing again!"

Four people were sitting on the circular sofa in the middle of the spacious living room. There in the middle sat Lang Buddha, leader of Cleanbois. Next to him was Claire Seducer, leader of the Angels, and Speedy, the leader of the Vagos. In front of them sat Mr. Kebun, the founder, and leader of Chang Gang. The four leaders were discussing among themselves when an 11-year-old Alexander Campbell barged in the manor, breathing heavily.

"Mr. Buddha! Yuno is doing that thing again!" the kid said. Lang clicked his tongue as he put down his wine glass. "Jesus Christ, these kids. I swear to god.." he muttered underneath his breath which made Claire chuckle. "C'mon Buddha, he's just a kid," she said lightheartedly.

"Kid my ass... He's been killing each and every cleaning staff in the manor. I can't just keep on hiring and explaining where the last employee went." Lang said. He walked outside the backyard to find Yuno sitting by the pool, Raymond standing next to him, gripping his white hair. Floating in the pool was a shark floatie, a beach ball, and a dead body.

"Yuno, not again..." Lang softly said to the 13-year-old boy. Yuno was licking his blue popsicle and splashing his feet as he giggled, "But Mr. Lang, I didn't know Gerard didn't know how to swim! I invited him to play with us." the kid explained. Gerard, the gardener, was still wearing his uniform and was not moving anymore while floating in the pool.

"Raymond, what the fuck? I told you to look after Yuno!" The 18-year-old white-haired boy looked at Lang wildly. "I didn't know he was gonna drown him!" The Russian tried to explain himself. "I was with Kitty in the gazebo!"

"Where even is Tony?!" The said man was loudly snoring by the pool chairs, a towel draped on his face to protect him from the sun. "Tony! Tony!" Buddha yelled. The Italian jerked awake and threw the towel on the ground. "I'm not asleep! I'm awake!" he said groggily. Buddha glared at Tony as he grabbed another towel that was hanging by the chairs. He unbuttoned his cuffs and folded his sleeves. "Yuno, c'mere. No more swimming for you." Buddha said, beckoning the young boy. The boy happily went to the older man, offering his head for Buddha to use the towel on.

"Mr. Lang, did you know sea otters hold hands when they sleep on their backs? It was so cool, I tried to do it but the water went up in my nose." Yuno said enthusiastically, finishing the rest of his popsicle. Buddha hummed in agreement as he kept drying the boy's hair and body, finally wrapping the towel around the boy. "Go get changed, Yuno." he reminded Yuno. The black-haired boy nodded and rushed to the entrance of the manor. Raymond stared for a minute before going back to the gazebo where a long-haired girl was waiting for him.

"Tony didn't I fucking tell you to look after the boys?! Specifically Yuno!" Buddha put his hands on his waist as he glared menacingly at Tony. "Okay, listen. The boys can manage themselves. Ray is 18, he might have sex soon, or maybe he did. Who knows. Yuno can obviously kill a man without lifting a finger." Tony tried to reason as he stood up from the chair, walking over near the dead body.

"Well, dumbass, not everyone gets killed by Yuno. What if one day they were the ones drowning Yuno?! Huh?!"

Tony's face went dark. "C'mon Buddha, no one's gonna touch our boys. You know that." He kneeled by the pool and reached out to grab the dead body's wrist, pulling it near the stairs of the pool. "I know that Tony. I know." Buddha sighed. "I'm gonna call Harry or Lando to take care of that." He bent down to pick up Yuno's helmet that was discarded by the grass.

"C'mon Yuno, why don't you wanna join us? Chang Gang is cool, it's even in the name." Ramee said to Yuno, reaching across the table to snatch the Rubik's cube that Yuno was fiddling with the whole time he was there. "Ramee, I don't wanna join your gang. I don't like shooting people." Yuno whined, lips forming a pout and eyes downcast as he tried to gently reject Ramee's offer. The boy in front of him sighed, placing the Rubik's cube near him. The two were in the manor, sitting in front of each other at the massive dining table. "Why don't you wanna join huh? Are you a pussy?" Ramee said harshly, instantly regretting his words when Yuno visibly flinched and tried to scoot away from him.

"R-ramee, I just don't want to. This is my family and you know I can't just join CG, we're too different." Yuno said, placing his hands on the table.

"No. Mr. K said when I'm in Chang Gang, I can get everything I want and I want you Yuno. So you have to be part of the gang because I said so!" He insisted, slamming his hands on the Brazilian wood, effectively catching the attention of the adults who were talking just a few feet away from them.

"What the fuck did you just say?" Raymond suddenly said as he was walking down the stairs. He glared at Ramee who stood up from his seat, puffing his chest out and trying to intimidate the Russian. "Oh you know what I said, cokehead." he snarled.

"You are not getting my brother, you motherfucker. Go back to shooting innocent civilians." the Russian spat, standing head to head with Ramee. "Yeah? This motherfucker will shoot you in the head, bitch." Ramee said before pulling out his pistol from the back of his shirt, pointing it directly to Raymond's face. Yuno went up to them, trying to calm the two, "Guys, please calm down. R-ramee, put that down." he pleaded. The rushing of footsteps can be heard as Lang and K who were once discussing among themselves were interrupted by the situation.

"Boys, what the fuck is this?" Mr. K yelled, his hands gesturing between the three of them. Yuno looked at Lang, tears pooling around his eyes. "M-Mr. Lang! Stop them please!" the boy ran up to the older, clutching the man's arm, trying to hide from the standoff between the two aggressive boys.

"Yuno, go to your room." Lang ordered, keeping his eyes on the boy as he meekly passed by everyone and ran up the stairs. Everyone didn't say anything until they were sure that he was safely in the room.

"Okay, now what the fuck is going on?" Lang asked once he heard the bedroom door closed, glaring at the two boys in front of him. "Mr. Lang, this motherfucker wants to make Yuno join their gang. As if someone barbaric as you deserves someone like my brother!" Raymond exclaimed.

"Oh, you wanna talk about barbarians? I could say the same thing about you, Russian freak!" Ramee replied, his voice getting louder by the minute and hands gripping the gun tighter.

"Do you not think I don't see the way you look at Yuno? Even Mickey, the idiot that he is, mentioned it to me. 'oh yeah Ramee changes behavior once Yuno is around!' Bitch, I can see you stare at him whenever your gang visits the manor. You want him to yourself but you can't. You wanna know why? Because his family is more important to him and he will never. I mean ever. leave the family for you." Raymond said with finality. His pointer finger jabbing Ramee's chest. Ramee growled, raising the gun to Raymond's forehead when K interrupted the two.

"I guess that's it for the month's meeting Lang. I'll see you again next month." K said, grabbing Ramee by the collar and dragging the boy outside the front door. Lang sighed as he watched the two members enter their designated car, only waving goodbye when the car reached the gate. He turned around to scold Raymond, only to see him looking up the mezzanine, he also looked up only to see Yuno facing a window, waving goodbye to Ramee and K.

Notes:

so ramee in this is a 16 year old spoiled brat who has the slightest crush on yuno. but yuno thinks of him as a scary kid who wants to recruit him to join cg but still wants to be friends with him anyways, the main focus in this chapter isnt really teenage romance but ray's protectiveness over his brother (i hope i delivered that correctly). i wrote teenage ramee this way bc i remembered how blau said that ramee (ic) changes behavior like a boy who saw his crush whenever yunos around iykyk

Chapter Text

Tony considers himself as the best dad in the family, well, technically he's the uncle. The Best Uncle. Okay, fine, he's not as rich as Dean and Leslie, who bought Yuno a literal mountain or as cool as Denzel who taught Ray how to shoot (it was Ray's words not his!), but he's the best one when it comes to being present in the kid's life. He's literally always there at the manor, watching the kids. Sure, Yuno's more attached to Buddha but that's obvious since he's the actual dad. But! But with the capital B, he's always there for the kids whenever Buddha's not there and he's there to pick them up wherever they want to go.

Tony remembers the first time the kids went home. Raymond was on guard, the tension visible in his frame. Yuno, the sweet kid that he is, kept his hands on his lap on the way home, looking out the car, eyes shining in wonder. Buddha was on the passenger seat and kept his eyes on the two kids, never straying from Raymond's agressiveness and Yuno behaving like an angel. Tony wanted to ease Raymond's mood just to liven up the atmosphere a little, so his idiot brain decided to perform a wicked jump from an overpass down to the road below, effectively making Raymond shout in amazement.

"TONY WHAT THE FUCK!" he remembered Buddha yelling as they were in the air, but ignored it as he looked at Raymond's awed expression through the rearview mirror. The only thing that broke Tony's focus was Yuno's sudden wail, as if he was in pain. The Italian was surprised to hear the kid cry, stopping in the middle of the road. Turns out, Yuno was scared of heights and loud noises. The young kid was clutching Raymond's hand while tears were pouring down his face, rubbing his snotty nose with the back of his hand. Buddha glared at Tony seemingly wanting to strangle him in the middle of the road but turned around to wipe Yuno's nose using his handkerchief. Raymond's awe turned back to anger the moment the younger boy cried and kicked the back of Tony's seat, demanding that he apologize to Yuno.

It was a fun memory, really. The moment their car turned down the driveway, maids and butlers were lined up in the front door, ready to greet the new members of the family. Meanwhile Dean, Leslie, Denzel, Harry, Nino were all waiting for them inside.

Tony missed those times when Yuno was still meek and timid, hiding behind Buddha's legs. Now, years later, the kid was the exact opposite. Obviously, Tony loves the kid very much, no matter who he is. But damn, do you know how much chaos he brought in? Of course, Buddha, the devoted father that he is, would literally become blind to all of Yuno's chaotic mishaps. Every damn month they had to hire new employees because the fucking kid keeps on killing them. Sophia, the personal maid? Dead from "accidentally" falling down the roof. Kelvin their head chef? Cyanide poison. Gerard, the professional gardener? Drowned in the pool. Even the fucking chauffer (that was once a professional racing driver by the way), died due to a car accident... well, in Yuno's defense the kid wanted to see if their car can jump over the mountain and up the manor's roof (which, by the way, can happen and it was a fucking headache trying to get rid of the car.). Dean and Leslie had to pull strings in order to erase the deceased employees' existence from the world, it was a pain in Cerberus' ass but hey, anything for Yuno.

Raymond on the other hand, took interest in material things, like guns and cars, pretty women, and money. The grown ups expected him to be part of the not-so-clean side of the family, seeing as Raymond had a knack for hunting and shooting. Yuno, however, was expected to stay away from the crimes the family committed, but everyone was surprised to see the youngest's sadistic tendencies, something that made Buddha very proud. "Looks like we didn't have to hide the secrets from the boys." Buddha once said to him when they were drinking and playing poker, the kids on the opposite side of the room.

One thing that Tony didn't expect though was that Yuno is a genius. A prodigy in the making. Innate talent, if you will. An all-rounder genius. Especially in math. They need a mathematician in their family, all of them are dumbasses. When Buddha went away for a business trip, Yuno missed him so much that the kid would sneak in Buddha's room and sleep there every night, with Raymond in tow. When Buddha came home late at night, he was surprised to see the open laptop in his room. The laptop that he uses for hacking. His practice laptop. Right there in the middle of the screen:

FLC LVL SUCCESS [Attempt 1]

Imagine Tony's surprise when he was in a deep sleep in his room and Buddha barges in, in his underwear, whisper-yelling about how his darling baby angel Yuno is a phenomenal genius and will soon cause chaos in the crim society. Tony tried to answer, his words garbled due to his sleepiness while Buddha was jumping up and down his bed like a fucking lunatic, effectively waking up the kids. Ray opened the door to Tony's room, his other hand holding Yuno's own while the youngest was rubbing the sleep off his eyes. It was a joyous day for everyone. Buddha who found out his son can be a potential criminal, Tony who can finally sleep without trying to console Yuno. Raymond who can finally sleep in his own room. And Yuno, who's happy that Buddha came back home.

Tony can still recall the memories that were shared between them. Even if the kids are growing up, continuously paving their own paths, he will still be by their side, proud of who they are and who they will become.

Chapter Text

Every now and then Raymond notices Yuno's erratic behavior. Don't get him wrong, Yuno is a total sweetheart, that's why Raymond felt attached to him during their time in the orphanage, clinging to the younger boy and keeping him safe. When Raymond was still in the clutches of the Russian syndicate he was born in, there was no such thing as sweet and as kind as Yuno. So can you blame him when he keeps the younger boy close to his heart?  Someone like Yuno would never survive where Raymond grew up in. However, ever since the both of them were adopted, it was like the younger was a snake shedding its skin, showing more and more of his personality that he wasn't able to show back then.

It first started when Yuno was allowed to explore the manor. It was their first month being added to the family and Lang let them wander off inside their territory. Raymond thought that the first thing Yuno would go to was the pool, given that he was somewhat obsessed with sharks. But to his surprise, the boy went straight to the roof, almost giving Lang and Tony, and literally every staff that were watching them, a heart attack that can end their life. Yuno only laughed at their worries, inviting Raymond to climb the roof with him. They both sat there for hours, talking about what they like about the manor and gossiping about the staff's secret that they tell Yuno. What intrigued him the most was Yuno's expression when he was talking about his personal maid, Sophia. It surprised Raymond to see Yuno irritated when talking about the woman, never quite seeing this emotion on him.

Yuno mentioned how the maid would "accidentally" spill water on Yuno, sometimes on his bed too. Well, Raymond did quite notice Sophia's attraction to their adoptive father, always gushing about him to the other staffs when she thinks none of the kids are listening. Before Raymond can get a word in, he heard Sophia's booming voice down below, calling for Yuno as it was time for dinner. It was night, the lights of Los Santos reflecting off of Yuno's eyes, which held so much emotion.

Raymond carefully climbed off the roof first, wanting to help Yuno get down as well. But Yuno refused his help, asking for Sophia to help him. Raymond looked at him, confused. He could hear the maid grumbling under her breath, slowly climbing the roof. Their roof was slanted, six meters off the ground, one wrong move and you'll fall and break your bones or in worse case scenario, die. If you fall, they would have to get you from the second entrance of the manor, which is quite troublesome.

When Sophia was on the roof, he could see Yuno's eyes glinting in mischief. Raymond thinks the woman is smarter than he thinks, easily catching on to Yuno's plans. She tried to move away from Yuno, only to stumble on her feet. It gave Yuno the chance to push her backwards, down below, only smirking at the woman who tried to grab unto something but fell to her death. Raymond could only hear the loud crunch as the body met the ground, unaffected by the loud splat he heard after. Yuno only smiled to himself, seemingly satisfied by his actions.

"Let's go Raymond! It's dinner time." The younger said to him, easily climbing off the roof with no assistance, ignoring the loud screams of the other staffs who found Sophia's body.

After that incident, Raymond watched as his brother pick off the staffs one-by-one, leaving out the ones who were nice to him. There was a time where there was this newly hired group of cooks who were stupid enough to cross Yuno. It was known in the manor that the youngest had an allergic reaction to watermelon. It was midnight and during these times was when Yuno would request for food. He kindly asked for fresh fruit, cut up into cubes. The head butler woke up the group of cooks who were sleeping in their designated rooms. One of the chefs who did not like being woken up at such an hour purposely served the boy a plate of watermelon, knowing that Yuno had an allergy.

Raymond, at that time, was sitting infront of him, keeping the boy accompanied. Yuno looked blankly at the plate infront of him, before staring at the chef. The chef raised an eyebrow at him haughtily, "Your fruit, your highness." he mocked. Raymond almost beat the guy up, only to be stopped by Yuno whispering something to the head butler. He can see the butler's eyes widening as well as the shocked expression of the other staffs who were currently in the room. The head butler stepped out of the dining room, only to come back two minutes later with something in his hands. He handed it to Yuno in which the young boy generously poured on the watermelon.

Cyanide.

Their family had various torture weapons and deadly chemicals that can only be accessed by adults, however, the kids can ask for permission to use these things and only with adult supervision. Raymond was not surprised, the younger told him he was excited to use the dangerous things that Lang once showed him, pouting when he wasn't allowed to hold a sledgehammer.

Yuno handed back the poison to the butler, satisfied by whats infront of him. He pushed the plate towards the chef. "Why don't you eat this mister? I made it especially for you." He smiled sarcastically. The chef, who was sweating the moment he saw the poison, stammered and fell to his knees, "I'm s-so sorry, sir Yuno. Please don't. I'm b-begging you sir, I have a wife and two kids. They need me. P-Please sir!" he cried on his knees. Yuno tilted his head, an evil smile overtaking his features. "Well.. would you rather eat this or I will make your wife and two kids eat this... please choose Mister Chef!" he gleefully said, eyes gleaming when the chef cried louder. Raymond was getting quite bored by this shitshow and pulled out his glock. "So, motherfucker, what's it gonna be?" he said, laughing in surprise when the man stood up and shakily reached for the watermelon. The two boys and the other staffs can see how the man started choking on the piece he swallowed, his mouth foaming up. Yuno stopped the head butler from going to the man, only watching when the chef started shaking on the ground.

"What in the world is this?!" Lang's booming voice echoed throughout the whole house. Everyone snapped their heads to the entrance where Lang and Tony were standing there, the latter's jaw dropping when he saw the situation. "Mr. Lang!" Yuno got out of his seat and hugged his adoptive father. Lang, despite being surprised by the turn of events, hugged the younger boy tightly, running his hand through Yuno's bangs, "What is this, baby?" he asked.

"Mr. Lang! This man tried to kill me!" He pointed to the plate. "He knew I was allergic to watermelon." the youngest pouted. Everyone can see the older man's gaze darken, pointedly staring at the chef's corpse. It was that day when Yuno and Ray solidified their status as a member of their family. No one would ever doubt them again.

In the eyes of other people, Yuno and Ray might be different from one another but to Ray, they are almost the same. Always adapting but never changing. To kill, to protect. He would do anything to keep Yuno safe by his side.

"Baby, are you sure you wanna go to college? You can just stay here..." Buddha said, sighing as he leaned on the doorway.

"But Mr. Lang, you don't want an idiot son, right?"

"We have Raymond for that-" Yuno raised an eyebrow at him, "-right. It's okay if you're an idiot, baby, all you need is to stay with dad and spend all our family's money. What's wrong with being dumb and rich?" Buddha chuckled. He walked near Yuno who was packing clothes into his sticker-decorated suitcase. Buddha sat down on Yuno's bed and looked up at him with overly dramatic puppy teary eyes. "Yuno, don't you wanna stay with daddy dearest?" He pouted. Yuno chuckled fondly before zipping up his filled suitcase. "But daaaaad, I genuinely want to study computers, you know this." He sat next to Buddha, who put his arms around the younger boy.

"Yes, yes I know baby. Fuck, when you call me dad you know I can't say no. Hngggghhggh do you really have to study in Tokiyo? And another country really?"

"But Tokiyo University offers the best, and you said-"

""You deserve the best." I fucking know that. I wish you weren't a smartass." Buddha rolled his eyes. Yuno smiled mischieviously at him, "but if I weren't a smartass, you guys are still stuck at robbing Paletos." he stuck his tongue out at him. The two of them were joking around when a knock was heard on Yuno's door. The door opened to show Ray, who was also sporting a miserable face.

"Yuno, do you really have to go study in Japan?" Ray asked.

"Well, I mean... the courses there are advanced than anything here in Los Santos. Who knows? Maybe when I come back I can revolutionize the whole hacking industry here." He joked around.

"God, you're so fucking smart I hate and love it at the same time." Ray groaned.

"Yuno, enjoy your time there, okay? Anything and everything you need will be provided. No need to worry, daddy's got you." Lang said.

"Ew, Mr. Lang, stop calling yourself that..."

"What? You called me that when you were, like, ten?"

"That was years ago!!.."

"Mr. Lang, do we really have to use this?"

"There is no way I'm gonna let you sit in a plane with 30 other people. Even. If. It's. First. Class. Besides, it was Dean's idea. Cut the man some slack, okay? His favorite nephew is going away for ten years-" Lang sniffled. "-it's just four years! Don't be dramatic!" Yuno interrupted. They were in the Los Santos airport, specifically in Cerberus' private hangar. In front of Yuno is Dean's prized private plane that he probably used twelve times overall (10 of those rides include Yuno). Yuno basically forced the whole family not to come with him as to avoid having to spend another two hours to comfort Tony. It was just him and Lang and probably their 30+ bodyguards.

Lang faced him and put a hand on his shoulder, "Take care, baby. You know this old man will probably cry at night because his son decided to leave him-" Yuno scoffed. "-but just know that I'm always proud of you, okay? No matter what happens. I'm just a call and a plane ride away." He squeezed his son's shoulder. "I love you." He said tearfully. Yuno smiled brightly at him and suddenly hugged the older man. "Me too, Mr. Lang, me too." Lang hugged him tighter as if to savor the moment. He was about to rub Yuno's back when the younger said, "Also I think it's going to take another two more years for my masters. So, see you in six years I guess?" He said.

"W-wh...Wh-what?!" Lang exclaimed. Yuno broke off the hug and smiled mischievously at the other. "Hehe, surprise?" he rubbed the back of his head.

"Wait! That's not part of the plan! Yuno, come back here mister. Yuno! Yuno!!" Lang couldn't anything but sulk as Yuno went up the stairs of the plane. "Mister Lang, it's just six years. What could possibly go wrong?" Yuno looked back at his father, a beautiful smile overtaking his features.

Everything.

Everything went wrong.

Ever since Yuno's leave, there was constantly something missing in the manor. His voice? His laugh? His ACDC? His presence? Whatever it was, it was taking a toll on the family members, specifically Buddha. It's been a month since Yuno left for Japan and it's not like there weren't communication at all. Infact, it was the total opposite. Lang called him every night (or morning in Japan?) before going to bed, calling him in the morning and placing his phone facing everyone so his son could atleast be part of family breakfast, and even in his office while he was signing paperworks with Yuno's voice in the background. For Yuno, it was the most exciting thing to ever happen in his life. Growing up he was spoiled rotten by the older family members, making sure that everything he wants and needs are given to him but ever since living in Japan, he's been doing things on his own. Traveling different cities in Japan, excitedly telling his stories to Lang, trying out new cuisines.

The employees were somewhat relieved that they get to rest for six whole years. No more "accidents" or "messes" made by Yuno. Oh, don't get them wrong, Yuno is absolutely loved by the staff. It's just that this cute little psychopath keeps on lessening the staff population. Now and then they would hear the family members talking about Yuno, how much they missed him and how much he grew up. This always resulted in Lang bursting into tears and Tony following suit.

One time, during breakfast, the maids made the mistake of placing Yuno's shark mug in the dining table (out of habit), Lang who's attention was taken by the shark mug suddenly burst into tears out of nowhere, "Oh my god I miss him so much you guys wouldn't understand I wish he didn't go to college but I know that's what makes him happy fucking education system why does it have to be six years can't he just finish it in three? I know he can do it he's a fucking genius I know he can oh I miss it when he fell asleep on the pool and I thought he drowned so I passed out and when I woke up he was worried about me oh my god he's such an angel..." followed by Tony's exasperated "Oh, here we go again..."

So imagine everyone's surprise when after three years of Yuno's absence, he was back in Los Santos. "Yuno... aren't you supposed to be in school?"

"Well..... I accidentally set fire to the main campus building... so I got kicked out..." Yuno sheepishly said.

Buddha, who knew all of this, walked out of the manor and happily greeted his youngest son. "My boy! Welcome back! How was Japan? Baby, did you know that the university director was planning to sue you? Hah! Stupid stupid mistake, all it took was one phone call. I know you're a little sad because college was all you dreamed of but hey! You don't have to suffer there, just use all of our money!" He engulfed the younger in a tight hug. "Oooor maybe you can start your own academy aye? Kinda like a little hacker school for the gifted..." Yuno smiled brightly at him and said "Thanks for the idea Mr. Lang, but right now I think I wanna spend time with you guys!"

Safe to say Buddha (and Tony and Raymond) started crying again.
