Summary
A soft breeze drifts through the open window. The early morning sunlight peeks out of the curtain’s folds. Birds twitter in the trees beyond the glass. When Yuri wakes, by all rights, it's the perfect beginning to a new day.
Except, everything feels weird.
Is the bed smaller than he remembers? Or is Otabek hogging part of his half in his sleep again? Yuri pries one eye open, and while his boyfriend is indeed oozing over the center of the mattress, no; there's still plenty of room. Frowning, Yuri shifts his legs beneath the blankets. Maybe they got all tangled and squished? No, not that either. His feet slide under relatively flat, smooth sheets with ease, and yet, the movement is… strange. Yuri just can’t put his finger on why.
