With all of the chaos that was constantly going on, Pix had learned that it was better to just silently watch. Safer. And so he watched.
He watched as destruction toppled this world that they had made.
He watched as Jimmy and fWhip caused an explosion so large that even Pixandria could feel the tremors.
He watched as Joey went mad after seeing his beautiful empire destroyed. He watched Joey try and fail to cause any major damage. He didn’t stop him.
Pix watched as Lizzie’s ocean evaporated. He watched as Lizzie lost her memories of this world.
He watched as Pearl burned along with her empire, and all of her candles went up in flames before going out.
He watched as Sausage sacrificed himself to the blood sheep. He watched the staff in Sausage’s hand prevent his life from truly ending. His candles flickered, but they still burned, and Pix knew that there was still hope for Sausage.
He watched as the dragon egg hatched. He watched as Gem and fWhip flew away with Violet, retiring peacefully.
He watched as Shubble found hope for her people and left to go find them.
He watched as Jimmy and Katherine found themselves unworthy to lead, and left their empires. He watched as the life seed grew. He watched as the cod council decided that Jimmy was once again worthy of his Codfather head. He watched as they continued on their journeys, oblivious to the fact that the things that they wanted most had happened.
He watched as Joel continued to ignore most of the things going on in the world. He watched as Joel returned to find his precious mega base split open. He watched as Joel realized that his wife no longer knew him and all of his friends were either dead or gone.
He watched as Scott found his empire corrupted by Xornoth once again. He watched as Xornoth trapped Scott with a spell that had originally been used against them. He watched as Scott pulled out a sword that he hadn’t seen in a long time. He watched as Scott stabbed himself with it. He watched both brothers fall to the ground. They had identical wounds. He watched as they stopped breathing. He watched as Xornoth’s body began to change. The corruption melted off, and Pix saw that they resembled Scott, but with purple hair. Pix watched every cyan candle go out. He watched as the smoke trails from each one formed a small heart before trailing off, and Pix knew that wherever Scott was, he was happy.
Pix watched them all. He saw everything.
The destruction, the chaos, the aftermath.
Pix saw, and he mourned.
He mourns, and he realizes that maybe it wasn’t better to watch. He is alive, but he is alone. He waits patiently for the day that he will be able to join his friends once more.
