Work Text:

It was the night, Tari was sleeping having a dream, she was remembering the last time she saw Lucks, she was trying to convince Masa to put the gun down, he did, but something weird happened, Masa was saying that he wasn't doing anything, that lead to kill Lucks right in the head, Tari as she heard the sound of the shot she woke up raising all her torso in a position to start running, she startle but she didn't scream. But she releazed that it was just a dream.

—I need some fresh air.

She stood up taking her jacket and wearing it on, she turned around to see Lamar, Sofia and Theo sleeping, she turned around again finding a clock that was stick to a wall, it was marking the 2:30 a.m.

— This Sofia's friend has a nice place. —Tari thought to herself walking around the dark place, — Maybe we will be able to stay here for some time.

She hadn't had gains to sleep again, instead she walked through the place silently, exploring a bit the place where she was.

—Can't believe what just happened, what if Masa was telling the truth? but how— Tari wondered while she passed through a little living room.

—Leaving so soon? — A deep voice said making Tari jumped from the startle.

—What? No, I wasn't doing that, huh... s-sorry what was your name?

—Marco.

—Thanks, no, I wasn't leaving Marco. — Tari said as she watched Marco sit on a couch.

Marco turned a light to illuminate a bit the living room.

—Then why you are up at this hour?

—I need some fresh air, that's all.

—Is it because of what Masa did?

Tari remained in silence; she didn't want to answer that question.

—No words, alright. If you are going outside make sure to not stay out locking by accident the door. Of course, don't call the attention.

—Wait, — Tari called Marco's attention, — Why are you wake up too?

Marco looked at her for a few seconds he sighed and while he removed his gaze from her she talked.
—You know, for being a famous face in this last 6 months you really have some similarities with that sister that Sofia mentioned, you know, you have the same eyes as her, I thought that people forgot her and that she was up there in the stage all of the time, but it wasn't her, just you. — he walked to the door of a room, closing it silently.

Tari was there without moving any muscle, in silence, she felt a weird feeling growing inside her, like something didn't feel right, she shaked her head walking to the entrance. She opened the door of the apartment finding herself in a hallway hanging on the wall of the building, she could look the people up there, they were shocked in the streets, Tari didn't expect that were people still outside in the dawn, Masa made a really mess back there.

She lay on the railing with her forearms and part of her elbows, the cold wind was refreshing for her, but still she had that feeling yet, she started thinking in Marco's words. He was the only one who thought Tari was Lucinia, what does that could mean?

—If he knew from where I come from...

Tari realize something that she could not thought while she was escaping from the police.

—All what I thought I was were pure liers to myself, I was never real at all, I am just a part of the conscious of Lucinia.— Tari thought

Tari spined her hands to see her palms, the feeling grew more and more.

—Can I be something else? — Tari said whistling. — Who can I be now?

Tari felt a deep sadness inside her, like a void coming from the center of her chest.

—My life had no major significance, I am nothing else than a copy of Lucinia... I have no other purpose. —She thought to herself.

—Why this now? Why?!

Tari covered her head with her hands, starting to cry, feeling that the void made bigger.

New doubts were forming in Tari's mind, too many to overwhelm her, she turned her gaze to the sides, then to the dark sky of the night, she looked the few stars that were able to see.

—What is my new purpose?

She stayed out there for some minutes asking herself questions. After that she wiped her tears with the sleeves of her jacket and went inside of the apartment.
She hugged herself while she was walking trying to not make any sound, less with her weak cry.

—I never expected to see you cry to be honest— Marco said drinking a glass of water.

—D-Did you spied on me?

—Yeah, and before you ask why, let's say that I still don't trust in you yet, I do with Sofia but with the Meta Runners of big corps... Well, that's were thinks change.

Tari didn't say nothing, she remained in silence again.

—But you didn't seem a danger, at least you don't look like that stupid pretty boy that once was loved by everybody, now killer. You seem pretty harmless.

—Why are you telling me this?

—I am just watching my back, you should do the same, especially for this next week, they aren’t going to be easy.

Tari didn't said nothing, she was getting tired again.

—I recommend you to sleep, last thing I want it's Sofia worrying more about you having baggy eyes, goodbye. — Marco said while going to his room.

Tari went to the room where she was sleeping, she thought one last time in everything she thought a few moments ago.
Now she had to deal with those questions with no answer, answers that will probably would be never answered.

—Good night, guys—she whispered closing her eyes and finally sleeping.
