Chapter 1: Story

Chapter Text

Ink. The sight of the short artist was nothing new to Error. Except there was one thing; he was wearing thickly-rimmed glasses. They were a bright shade of turquoise that could burn retinas. Error considered himself lucky that he didn’t have retinas. “Squid, do you know how stupid you look in those? Why are you even wearing them?” Error inquired. “I couldn’t find Broomie, and Dream asked if I was blind! I said I didn’t know for sure, and then he told me to get some glasses or something! And Dream helped me find Broomie!” Ink blurted out excitedly.

“Y’know, that doesn’t change how ridiculous you look.” Error responded. “Hey, can I try on your glasses?” Ink asked. Then, without a response, he walked over to a little table placed in the anti-void containing some knitting needles and Error’s glasses. Ink proceeded to put on the red, thinly-framed glasses. His eyelights changed to a question mark, along with a star.

“Error! You never told me you were blind!”

I self projected in the bolded section by referencing things my mum said to me when I can't find things that are *literally* right in front of me. My pair of blue-light blockers don't help me ;)

Ink blurted out excitedly.

“Y’know, that doesn’t change how ridiculous you look.” Error responded. “Hey, can I try on your glasses?” Ink asked. Then, without a response, he walked over to a little table placed in the anti-void containing some knitting needles and Error’s glasses.

1 - Tbh Ink's personality kinda screams "will do things without your permission"

2 - I think, next to his beanbag, he'd have a little table with important thingies.

Ink proceeded to put on the red, thinly-framed glasses. His eyelights changed to a question mark, along with a star.

“Error! You never told me you were blind!”

I read a doodle page by either buff-muffin or adorablemew, where Paperjam looks through Gradient's glasses and says "holy shit he's blind"

they get it from their fathers ;)
