Chapter Text
Tucker was nothing how Matty first imagined.
When Mike said he was someone in maintenance, her first thoughts were some kind of auto body worker. A blue collared man covered in oil and grease, that talked down to her because she was female presenting most days. But this guy seemed more like a nerdy IT tech who could run circles around her when it came to coding.
At first glance he looked scrawny, maybe even frail with horrible posture from his late nights. But there was a gleam in his eye when he talked. Tucker held himself with a confidence only someone at the top of his career could achieve. So maybe there was more to him under all those baggy, oversized clothes.
After shaking her hand, he dove straight to Sun like a crazed fan talking to their muse. He talked a mile a minute with the day bot, asking about his current wire workings and the very specific oil that went into the rotation of his head. It honestly sounded like a foreign language, but it seemed to be helping with Sun’s prior nerves.
He seemed eager to show off the agility in his springs and just how well he could contort himself into a small box. Tucker was eagerly taking notes on a little handheld device, occasionally throwing himself into one of the many lit monitors to add some sort of detail before returning to the animatronic with another round of questions.
When he seemed to have his fill, the blonde asked to speak with Moon as well. Surprisingly enough, Sun happily agreed and hunched over while Tucker went to dim the lights. Their transformation was stunning to look at, the colors an ombre of orange to blue with Sun’s rays shrinking inward and dimming to a pale color. The night guard stood to his full height, appearing larger in the shadows than his counterpart had and cackling at the look of awe on the new technician's face.
“Sundrop seems to be a fan of all your questions but you seem too nosey for your own good.”
The blonde gave a shit eating grin, unbothered with Moon's crisp tone or his jagged response. He boldly took a step towards the other and circled around him.
“I’ve been told something similar before. But how can I resist temptation when its right at my feet.”
He gestured to all of Moon and whistled.
“Your A.I. is so grossly advanced to the point of you having real emotions, not just mimicking humans. Your processors are quicker then most computers and you're physically stronger than any other being alive. You are a wonder in itself!”
Moon took a step back in surprise more than actually trying to get somewhere. He seemed to be frozen in confusion before ducking away into his hat. If the animatronic could blush, he might be doing just that. Seems he wasn’t as quick to play the flirting game as much as Sunny was.
Matty couldn't help the little laugh at Moon's expense and the bot looked at her sharply. She put her hands up in surrender, not wanting to spoil the good mood with too much teasing.
“You're different from our normal maintenance crew.”
Moon made it sound accusatory, but Tucker didn't seem fazed.
“Ahh, I've been working at Fazbear's for years now. Down at the sister location and let me tell you, those bots don't mess around. This is more than just a paycheck for me, I’m living the DREAM.”
The custodian could almost see the stars hovering in the blondes eyes. He seemed right at home and talked to the attendant just as he would any other person. It made hope bloom in her chest that maybe this would all work out in the end.
“All right! We ready for some upgrades?”
Her heart plummeted to her stomach again in nerves; but she smiled at the mechanic and gave a thumbs up. Tucker turned his back on her as his fingers flew across the keys and the glass door to the cylinder opened up.
Moon was at her side instantly, crouched down low so she could see his face. Her eyes widened when she saw his eyes. One red and one white. They were both there. Her boys. She wrapped her arms around them and squeezed tight.
“I'm not going anywhere. I'll make sure nothing happens to either of you and if they try anything shady, I'll fucking kill them.”
“What naughty language from our valiant knight.”
They giggled and held her close. She could feel their frame shaking and she reached up to pepper their faceplate in kisses. Reaching every bit until steam leaked out and they whined from overstimulation. She took their hands in hers and kissed the back of both, watching them shiver in response.
“You'll come back to me, right?”
Her boys nodded and brushed their face against her cheek.
“We promise. Nothing in this world could keep us from you. Our light.”
She nodded and lead them back towards Tucker. He had three monitors facing him while typing up a storm of commands into the computer system.
“Alright you two, just step inside and get comfy. I'll be there in a moment to connect all the correct wires.”
Matty lead them inside and stepped off to the side as they took a seat. She made sure she was right in their line of sight, only inches of plexiglass between them and keeping up her smile in hopes it calmed their nerves.
Tucker did as he said, connecting wires to the bots neck and opening a small panel on the back of their faceplate. It seemed very complicated but the blonde worked with ease. Humming softly to himself and then coming back to the monitors to check that the system connected. Once everything turned green he gave the bots a thumbs up.
“Alright! Its going to feel like any other Deep Sleep. And when you wake up we'll go through your new updates to make sure everything works correctly. Any questions?”
He waited and when they shook their head no he nodded back.
“Ok! Then let's get started! Sleep well big guy!”
The mismatched eyes found hers and they gave a little wave before the entire endo drooped and became still. She ran over towards Tucker and almost mowed him down to see the monitors, making sure there was no Error Code. She finally let out the breath she was holding when she could see Download Started in huge font on the monitors.
Underneath was a little bar and a loading screen that began to hum. Her nerves were fried and she couldn't shake the gnawing feeling that something could still go wrong. She mentally shook herself, pushing the feeling aside. There was no need for any sly deception or sweet promises from the company. If they wanted to scrap the DCA they wouldn't even announce it. She would just walk in one day and they would be gone.
The thought made chills drag down her spine, not wanting to imagine the worst case scenario. But in a twisted way, it almost gave her a sense of comfort. She rubbed her tired eyes, hoping this update didn't take too long.
“Soooooo… how long have you been banging the attendant?”
Matty's mind screeched to a halt. Her mouth agape as she turned to look at the smug mechanic. His chair was turned the wrong way as he straddled it and was leaning forward on the hard plastic back. He looked like a teenager ready for some hot gossip.
“Oh come on. With that whole display just now? Ya'll looked like you were being put to death. It's obvious you're lovers.”
“We arent- that's none of your business bud!”
He cackled at her heated cheeks and relaxed into his chair, waving his hand dismissively.
“Call it what you want, but I've got eyes man. And you wouldn't be the first person I've caught going down and dirty with members of the Faz Staff."
What did THAT mean?? Did employees sleep with the animatronics often? Matty's head spun with all the unsaid implications. She knew she couldn't be the ONLY human attracted to the robots; there were plenty of people with kinks out there. But with the way H-Staff treated the bots here, she assumed it wasn't very common.
"Its even easier with the new bodies after all. Not like that had stopped anyone."
He had said that last part more to himself, but the custodian had heard it. Her eyes bugging out had Tucker laughing with real joy at her surprise. He pulled out another chair for her and patted the seat.
“Come on. You can talk to me if you ever need any customizations. I know all the codes to get around questions and the paperwork.”
He said it all so casually with a wink that it was making her head spin and she sat down. What was he on about? Something to do with the updates maybe? And he knew other people in animatronic relationships?? She was bursting to ask all these questions, but one was pressing urgently to the front.
“When is the download complete?”
“Eager, huh?”
Tucker wiggled his eyebrows like a gremlin but cut her some slack and typed a few things into the computer.
“Well, since the attendant is two separate A.I.s, they got the green light to make some modifications. It'll be done in a week.”
“A week?!”
How was she supposed to wait a week to make sure Sun and Moon were ok? What if the building lost power or a wire got loose and they got erased? She felt a touch to her shoulder and saw the concern from the technician.
“Hey, what do you think they brought me in for? I'm going to be monitoring around the clock to make sure nothing goes wrong.”
Matty took a breath and nodded her thanks. She wasn't going to have a melt down with this new person she knew very little about. Instead, she figured she'd make herself comfortable and try to get information.
“Sooooo modifications?”
The blondes eyes lit up and he started spilling his guts.
“SO! Apparently the changing back and forward with the lights was good when they had older fluorescence. But with newer technology it doesn't always work and they've been known to glitch out."
The redhead nodded, she'd seen the nervous tick Sun would do when a light would flicker. Or how Moon would rear back when a flashlight shone in his face. The transformation seemed to cause them discomfort and she couldn't imagine if it got worse with an update.
"Plus the parts aren't even made anymore! And its a bitch to replace them, so its actually saving the company money by separating them.”
“Separating? Like, they'll have their own bodies?”
Tucker nodded enthusiastically and made wild gestures with his hands.
“Yep! They'll still be able to communicate with each other, but now they can both be out at the same time without risk to their battery.”
Mattys eyes glossed over while Tucker gabbed on. They would both be out at the same time! She could hug them and talk with them and not have to worry about the time of day? Would they have new responsibilities? Would they even like being separated like this? She wished somebody would have at least had the dignity to ask; even if they didn't have a say in the outcome.
Her eyes fell back on the bots sleeping form and then at the monitor that had yet to change. A whole week… she would need to do something to surprise them when they woke up. A message popped up on her watch. Mike telling her about some project that she didn't quite understand and she ignored it a moment longer to just look over and watch over her boys. A week seemed so far away.
—-
A week was actually not enough time!
When she had returned from parts and service, Mike handed her forms detailing work that needed top priority. The DCA was the start of a total brand update if all things succeed and the upgrades proved profitable. Thus, Matty was now in charge of project Million Dollar Makeover.
First, they needed to replace the charging stations around the daycare. The new bodies were not compatible with the older models and needed to be removed. Mike was going to do this himself, but one foot inside Sun's room showed this needed more TLC then just ripping a charger from the wall. He gave the custodian mangerial access, that was limited, but enough to have control over what was done in this section.
He offered her part time H-Staff to help relieve the burden of her new work load, but she refused. Something about another human seeing this room felt too personal. But she gladly accepted the help from other bots who lingered nearby. She recognized one as a wet floor bot that would sometimes follow her in the kitchens. He had a dent in his ear from a previous encounter. And when she couldn't buff it out successfully, she had instead placed a sticker on to hide it.
"Hey little Rockstar!"
She bent down and gave the smaller machine a pat and it trilled out in recognition.
"Think you can send a few bigger bots to come help with trash disposal?"
Its little body shook with effort and made a wide circle before coming to rest closer to the custodian. She looked around and had to wait a few minutes, but sure enough a couple S.T.A.F.F. bots zoomed towards her.
"Good job little buddy!"
She now had the assistance of two robots that were more then qualified and good old fashioned elbow grease on her side. With her new added help she was able to remove every bit of junk from the room. Torn shirts, broken Legos, ripped chairs and even the old endos. Anything that looked like a gift or something memorable was placed in separate boxes with extra care. Things like the children's paintings or nick nacks that she knew the attendants would likely want, got saved from the dump.
Once everything was removed, she brought out the big guns. Being an EVS tech ment she had unlimited access to a polethra of cleaning products and she was going to take advantage of it. She wiped the walls, swept the floors and polished every banaster she had access to. Once all the grime was removed, Matty could tell a few repairs were in order.
She patched small holes and buffed out chips and scratches from years past. She replaced worn out baseboards and had the S.T.A.F.F. bots give the room a fresh coat of paint. The room felt lighter then it probably had in years. But there was hardly room to admire it, because service techs were breathing down her neck.
Once it was clean enough, a small assembly of people came in to remove the old charging station and replace it with something that looked futuristic. Instead of a large tube that took up most of the room, there were two thick cables that hung from the ceiling. They connected to the power supply above and were retractable so they could be worn and the user still had access to movement. They were thicker then Moon's rafter cable and looked more like metal cords used to stable a large bridge.
It would take two days for the team to change out the charging ports and Mike didn't add any additional work onto her load. So she was in a weird purgatory, unsure of where to concentrate her energy. Tucker was surprisingly a great distraction. He would send her little updates on her watch, pictures of the download meter or a selfie of him posing next to the new shipment of boxes labeled:
FAZBEAR PARTS - MODEL FB900
Coupled with a funny meme or sticker to make her feel like she was still in the loop.
She came to visit twice when the blonde assured her he wasn't swarmed with upper management. He had dug out an ancient looking couch from the depths of the Plex and was using it as a bed when his eyes weren't glued to the monitors.
"You should really get some better lighting in here. You're squinting."
She was perched on the arm of the couch, watching Tucker punch in keys like he was a hacker in an action movie. He huffed out a laugh, but didn't look her way.
"Nooo you're missing the appeal of the dark and scary laboratory! I'm the brilliant scientist bent on bringing new life to these lifeless bodies."
He gave an affectionate pat to the box of parts next to him.
"You just don't understand my genius."
"I just think someone brilliant would be clever enough to NOT damage his own eyes in the process."
They joked and tried to one up eachother in witty banter and by the end of it, Matty finally had a friendly coworker she could stand.
When she got the notification that Mike did a last walk through, she was ecstatic. Everything had passed inspection and now it was time for the best part.
Decorating.
-----
Matty had been given permission to style the room in any way she saw fit, seeing as the area was off limits to customers. And with so little time left to spare, she would make full use of that privilege. The custodian had been digging through every nook and cranny of the Pizza Plex since the start of the week. Saving any treasure or form of comfort she could find to make the space feel more cozy.
First of all, she wanted to make a bed. Her brain fueled her with all sorts of ideas on why a bed would be beneficial. Most of them explicit with her writhing in ecstasy and she had to push those away in embarrassment. But her main reason was that she could do this. She could make a space for her boys like they deserved. No longer did they need to be housed in a metal tube to charge and she would make the most of that.
Her old sedan wasn't equipped to shoulder a mattress and trying to find one inside the Plex proved difficult. Even if she did, there was no guarantee the attendant’s large body would even fit on such a thing. So Matty was left with being creative. She found old foam floor mats that linked together like puzzle pieces and grabbed enough to make a bed shape.
It took up most of the floor once the custodian had them all stacked and glued down using something industrial grade from the parts and service desk. It held its shape well and was relatively easy to move around. She placed it under the newly installed cables and covered the whole thing in a large painter's sheet that was surprisingly soft and undamaged.
Matty brought a few large comforters from home that had been taking up space in her closet and the matching pillows that she could spare. She had also washed every additional cushion she could find and added it to the pile. She dug through bags of fabric and found an old stage curtain that she repurposed into something smaller and hung them up. It gave the space more intimacy and closed off the new bedroom from the rest of the chamber.
The main part of the room felt neglected and was now next on her list. With help from the S.T.A.F.F. bots; they brought up a table with adjustable legs, a bookshelf and a small rug that she had tripped over last week. Matty filled the shelves with a mixture of new craft supplies and novels that she hoped her boys would like. The custodian had even found a Freddy shaped beanbag that didn't match any of the other decor but still brought the room together.
Lastly, she hung as many fairy lights as she could in both rooms with a dimmer set to when it was ‘day’ or ‘night’ and hung the children's art on the newly painted wall. It was the final touch and Matty looked at her hardwork with pride.
This was cozy.
This was intimate.
And best of all, it was something special for both Sun and Moon. No more trash. No more busted endos. Just a place they could rest.
It took the entire week to get everything done and now she just had to wait for Tucker's signal. She kept rearranging things, touching and putting little bits in different places. Her mind racing and unable to keep quiet.
TODAYS THE DAY!
Incoming Message
"Hey! Wanna get a look before the sleeping beauties wake up?"
And the wait was finally over. Matty dropped everything and raced towards the maintenance hall.
—
The custodian got there in record time, almost skipping past the open door in her haste. The room was brighter now, she noticed. New overhanging lights that made the room glow but it only highlighted how sparse the area really was. There were energy drinks spilling over the waste basket, a blanket crumpled on the couch and Tucker perched in front of his many screens.
The fluorescent lights made him look pale and sickly. His hair was pulled away from his face and glasses she had never seen before were perched on his nose. He looked exhausted. Deep bags under his eyes, his body vibrating with caffeine and swaying as if a breeze were pushing him aside. It would have been worrisome if he didn't have the biggest smile on his face. He looked like a super villain about to unleash his latest creation.
“Hey! You made it!”
He pointed to two incubators along the far wall. They looked like a modern take on the old charging ports but we're larger in size.
“Go on and take a look! They should be up in a few minutes.”
Her heart was beating fast, nervous now that the wait was over. She walked to the first pod and saw familiar yellow rays through the glass window.
His body was sturdy, more filled out and painted beautifully in crisp white and warm yellows. His uniform still only consisted of large striped pants and a fluffy collar but the fabric was new and shone in the florescent lights. It was his face that was the most striking and obvious change. No longer was he just a flat unmoving plate. Instead they gave him something more humanoid, a head with crisp details.
“Sunny.”
As if he had heard her, his rays fluttered in response. He scrunched his face and she was amazed to see all the tiny details and movement as his eyelids flustered open. The most beautiful sky blue eyes, looked back at her. He seemed confused at first, eyes darting wildly to take in his new layout. But once they landed back on her he seemed unable to look away, face lighting up in recognition.
“Best Friend!!!!”
He had a mouth. And it moved!! She was so stunned she could only gape at him, forgetting to respond.
“What? Did they mess up my paint job? Is there egg on my face? Come on, spit it out already!”
The pod dinged and opened up, allowing the sun to burst free from his restraints.
–
Sun stood on his new legs and stretched. Surprised at just how light he felt. No more squeaky hinges or that same dead weight his body always held. A whirlwind of information popped up in his vision, codes telling him about his new upgrades that he skimmed through. Woowie! This upgrade was something else!
He looked around the room and saw the same nice mechanic from before and there right in front was his beloved human. The sunny bot could feel his body tingle at her close proximity and he was about to scoop her up. But something felt off.
She just kept looking at him. Staring him down and it was starting to freak him out! Did he look weird? His head swiveled around frantically, looking for some sort of reflective surface, when a whistle caught his attention.
“Hey man, why don't you come over here and take a look at your upgrades."
Tucker motioned toward the other side of the room where a large floor mirror had been set up against the dingy wall. He raced over and took a good look at himself.
Oh! He was so shiny! The kids would love that! And his costume was new! Still crisp and smelling faintly of citrus.
Hmmm.
Smell? He didn't have that before.
He glanced at his face to see what improvements had been made, but he wasn't in the glass's reflection. His bright and shining smile was missing and instead there was a new bot wearing his uniform. He couldn't understand why the bot was there or what he was seeing and his rays shrunk inward in distress. But, so did the rays on the other animatronic...
Oh.
OH CRUMBS!!
THAT WAS HIM!
This was his new body! And it was fantastic! He had a face! And new eyes! He puffed out his cheeks and stuck out his tongue. Oh good golly!! He had a tongue??
He erupted into contagious laughter. By gum, this was fantastic! He could emote! And had a working mouth!
A mouth?
A MOUTH!!
He twirled around and locked eyes with the custodian.
“If you don't want me to kiss you Sunshine, you better tell me right now.”
The human’s face lit up bright red and she began stuttering. She was so cute like this! His rays twirled in excitement. It didn't matter if she said no, seeing her embarrassed was just as good!
“Yes.”
Ho ho! It was very soft but he heard it! She looked eager and he couldn't help wanting to tease her. So he cupped a hand over where his ears would be and leaned in close.
“Whaaaaat? Could you speak up down there?”
“YES.”
She said it louder and he feigned innocence.
“Yes? Yes what? Gotta speak up friiiiiend. What do you want?”
Oh her cheeks get so puffy when she's embarrassed! She was looking at him pleadingly, eyes shifting from the blonde technician and then back to him. Was she nervous in front of this other human? Oh no no he couldn't have that. He tilted his head and raised a brow at the blonde who was looking at them curiously.
"Ho ho! What a nosey thing you are. Didn't your parents teach you to mind your business?"
Sun stood up tall and imposing, a feral look in his eyes to intimidate the other worker.
"Does Mr. Sun need to teach you a lesson?"
The blonde looked taken aback, held up his hands and turned around. Sun could see a faint pink to his face and stored the information away for later use. He bent down and held his hands out towards his precious human. She shyly reached out to grab them and he yanked her close, giggling at her put out expression.
"Oh come on best friiiiend. Don't you want to say hi to your best pal Sunny?”
She touched his chest and steam zoomed past his joints. Seems she still had that affect on him, even in this new body.
“Hmmm. They filled you out Sunny. You aren't so lanky anymore.”
Her finger dragged slowly down his chest, creating fire in its wake and stopping just at the start of his oversized pants.
“And yet. They still gave you such a slutty little waist.”
He felt as if his processors were on fire. His face burned and there was a pressure he couldn't ignore near his hips. Matty seemed to be studying his reaction and grinned wolfishly. He forgot that she was a firecracker and could dish out the teasing just as well.
“Huh. You can blush now. I wonder what else is new.”
He couldn't figure out if that was an invitation or her just toying with him and he loved it. He leaned in closer, chest feeling too tight and cupped her chin to pull her towards him. She happily leaned in and pressed her lips to his. She was soft. So very soft and he could feel it. Feel the way she applied more pressure, feel the little puff of air between them. And when she licked against the seam of his lips, he moaned at the softest feeling.
She kissed him slow and sure. Teaching him how to do this particular song and dance. He felt clumsy but made up for it in eagerness. The little tremors of her body were addicting and all the new senses were almost overwhelming. But they were kissing! And he could feel her in his arms and she smelt so good! Nothing could possibly feel better than this!
BEEP BEEP.
MOON.EXE ONLINE
Moonie?? Was he finally awake? Sun careful pulled away and left a peck on the custodian’s head. She looked a little dazed for the moment, so he tried to mentally reach out and tap at his partner. No response. He then realized the beep had not come from himself, but the charging bay he was at earlier. Looking over, Sun realized there were two pods and something was still occupying the other.
He took Matty's hand and walked back over with a jaunty pep in his step.
"Come on Sunshine! Let's wake up Moonie!"
—
Moon could tell he was online by how aware of his surroundings he was. He could feel the cool temperature of the charging bay flutter his clothing. The temperature didn't bother him, but he could now tell that there was a difference. He flexed his hands and rubbed them against his pants. He could feel the texture, like his senses had been put into HD. He didn't seemed to have access to his vision or auditory just yet, but he wasn't worried.
Hey Sun. Does your vision work yet?
He tried reaching out to their shared headspace but felt no response. Was Sun still out cold? It felt odd since Moon had the more complicated program and it usually took him longer for everything to come back. Maybe the lack of updates were backlogged and his partner just needed a little longer?
He felt a tremor around the pod.
Was it shaking?
“....nnnh!”
“.....oon!”
His hearing was slowly coming back and he could almost make out what was being said.
“Moon!!! Wake up!"
Sun?? Was there an emergency? Had he woken up too late? He forced the last few moments of his update to hurry up and finally he had vision again.
Sky blue. He was looking into the clearest blue eyes he had ever seen. They looked excited and anxious like too many emotions waring together to be at the front lines.
“Oh Moonie! You look so handsome!”
The sound was coming from outside the pod and not in his head. It was muffled and he was confused because it sounded like Sun. The blue eyes crinkled in delight and a yellow finger tapped the glass separating them from each other.
“Come on sleepy head! Nap time is over!!”
How could he be seeing sun in front of him? And he looked different. Was this what humans experienced when dreaming? A weird reality that seemed so real but was actually just an overactive imagination? Moon didn't have time to process this new line of thought because the glass opened and suddenly he had an arm full of animatronic.
The bot hugged him close and he could feel it. Like really feel the touch all over. It took him a moment, but he returned the hug. Liking how good it felt to squeeze and touch. The sunny bot giggled.
“Soooo affectionate! Are you sure you're not still sleepy?”
He shook his head.
“How are you in front of me Sun? How can I hug you like this?”
“You got a new body silly! They gave us two bodies!! And look! There's lights on!! And you're still here!!”
Sun gave a little shake in emphasis and opened up the hug so Moon could look at himself. He was shinier and his clothes were no longer oil stained and ripped. He could feel fresh energy coursing through his wires and he no longer felt sluggish like he had the last few weeks. It was amazing and he really didn't know what to do with all this new information.
He felt a tug on his ribbons with something soft and warm wrapping around wrist.
“Its a lot to take in. Give yourself time.”
There next to his sunny partner was Matty. She looked beautiful, ethereal in the florescent lights if not a little tired. He wanted to scold her for the bags clearly on display under her eyes, but was confused on how she could have gotten bags in the first place. They've only been offline for a few short hours.
A mental pop up showed his download was finally done and he now had access to all his new updates and features. He would get to those later, he had more pressing issues and scanned his human. A wall of information showed up, but there highlighted at the bottom was the date of his last interaction with her. She had been waiting for them, for an entire week.
"My liiiight."
Moon dropped to his knees in front of her.
"How patient you've been with us.”
He cupped her cheeks and she nuzzled into the touch. He could feel her soft skin and it drew him in closer as her scent enveloped around him.
"I would have waited an eternity for my boys."
He sighed in bliss. She was like a numbing gel that soothed all the pain away. Any fear or anxiety felt less so when she was around. She kissed at his fingers and he shuddered. White hot sparks dance up his arm and the urge to steal her away from prying eyes was strong.
How could he love her even more now, then before he fell asleep? The shine on her lips was distracting, he needed to feel her against him. Wanted to hear all the new sounds he could make her pant out with this new form. He wanted to devour her.
A throat cleared and he growled at the disturbance. There was that maintenance worker again, interrupting his reunion and getting in the way. But he wasn't looking at either animatronic, instead the blonde had his focus on Matty. There was a teasing glint and a sly smile on his face.
"Oh yeah. There's tooootally nothing going on between you guys, huh?"
Matty wiggled her way out of Moon's grip enough to free her hand and flip him the bird.
“Oh fuck off Tuck.”
“G A S P!!! LANGUAGE!”
The other two humans laughed at Sun's outrage, but Moon was still focused on the blonde. When had he gotten so close to his human? There was teasing and playful banter. This could be friendship. He liked Matty having friends in theory, other humans to help make her day a little less stressful. But something dark and ugly worked its way into his chest.
He didn't want anyone else looking at her. Didn't want her having secret conversations or jokes with another person. With Matty's back to him, he glanced at Sun for support and saw him squinting daggers at the blonde. His partner had the same pissed off look etched on his face; but when he noticed the lunar bot looking his way it relaxed a bit. Sun shielded his mouth so only Moon could read his lips.
She belongs to us. No sharing!
Moon nodded curtly. Matty could live her life outside these walls however she liked; he had no way of stopping her.
But once inside the Plex, the custodian was theirs.
