Sometimes things aren't always as they seem.

Based off my series on Tik Tok (with pictures)

Notes:

This is going to be a longgggg one, mostly because I'm putting all the photos from my tik tok series in with the story. Basically this is just an overall story for my series on tik tok because you can't really get complicated plot and character motivations through a short tik tok lol

I hope you enjoy and the pictures aren't too annoying!

Of course it had been a trap. Why did he ever think otherwise. Deku was smarter than any other villain he had ever come across, yet it didn’t stop him from blowing the concrete wall to bits.

The battle was pretty much over, the blonde himself sustaining a couple blows to his face and blood in his eye. Even then he didn’t miss the green haired villain ducking out of the fray and into a side building.

The darkness covered half his face, yet his eyes glowed brighter than ever as a smile creeped across his face.

Deku was creepy years ago when they were kids, but now it was even worse after years of being a villain. His right eye had been slashed right down the middle at some point, leaving a pale pink scar in it wake. He had gotten tattooed as well, a dark ‘K’ under his left eye. The blonde didn’t want to even guess what it could stand for; at this point he was a little afraid of the answer.

“Kaachan! You’re here!” Deku cooed happily, his eyes getting even brighter, almost glowing in the darkness.

It was like an invisible force pushed the blonde towards the other as the villain stalked forward. Deku looked smug, regardless of the fact that Bakugou had enough firepower on him to kill him in an instant. However, his arms stayed stubbornly glued to his sides as he walked towards the villain, his gaze never straying from the other’s.

“Which means one thing,” Deku stated, his shadow falling over the blonde, “you finally figured out what you want.”

The blonde tried to grasp onto the thoughts in his head, but every flick of the villains pupils across his face would send him straight back to square one. What the hell is happening? He questioned to himself, but before he could even process the fact that his thoughts didn’t seem to be listening to him, Deku’s hand was grabbing his chin and everything else disappeared. His hands were cold but grounding in a surprising way. All he could do was stare at the other in shock and awe as an overwhelming feeling of longing and admiration overtook his mind. The bright glow of his eyes burning into his own.

“What you want is me,” Deku stated, “Right?”
The blonde stared at him for a second longer before a grin stretched across his own face.

“Yeah,” he sighed, the same glow filling his own eyes.

The break room of the agency was flooded in darkness as usual. The red head who had spent more time in there than his own apartment in the past couple of months was situated at the table, files upon files spread out in front of him. From pictures, to eye witness statements from civilians and captured villains alike. Although the explosion hero hadn’t been seen in public, there were plenty of criminals who had seen him in the underground. More often than not hanging off of Deku’s arm.

“Kiri..” Mina sighed, his eyes full of pity. Like they always were.

“You need to go home and get some rest.” Kaminari cut in, ever the blunt one.
Kirishima scoffed, his eyes furrowing in disgust. “Don’t be stupid,” he hissed, “I’m not going anywhere.”

It was too painful to go home, he figured that out within the first month without the blonde. The familiar and comforting caramel scent had faded from their sheets long ago. That had been the moment he realized he couldn’t go back there unless completely necessary.

He opened yet another file, inspecting the CTV footage closely. That was definitely his Katsuki. He couldn’t help the growl that slipped between his teeth at the glowing eyes of the villain that snatched the blonde from him, his arm wound tightly around the blonde’s waist. He threw the file across the table so he wouldn’t destroy the little evidence he did have.

“Not until he’s found,” he finished his sentence in a whisper.

“Alright,” she replied softly, she knew better than anyone that it would take a lot more than a few suggestions to get him to stop now, “at least take a nap every now and then, okay?”

He only nodded as the two left down the hallway, rubbing at the patchy skin under his eyes. They had long become stained dark and puffy from the countless nights of zero sleep. Even his bright red hair had taken at hit in the past couple of months, not taking the time to re-dye his black roots. He made an overall pathetic mess at this point. He would have disappeared into the dark of the underworld himself if he wasn’t being watched so closely. He also knew that that’s not what Katsuki would want when he was finally in his arms again. He’d need a soft, warm home that could help him heal from the months that they’ve been apart. It was almost soothing in a way, knowing that at the end of the day Deku could never give the blonde the safety and comfort that he could.

His head snapped up suddenly, glancing around the room. I swore I heard something.

He was shaken out of his thoughts as the cement wall of the room was blown in, debris flying everywhere and knocking him out of the seat. The air was hot as he tried to suck in the breath that was knocked out of him. It was too familiar, too nostalgic. He struggled to sit up as tears filled his eyes, staring straight into the blaze of flames that erupted after the explosion.

Water lazily spread across the water from where the sink had been smashed from flying chunks of concrete. His own memory of his husband flashed in his mind, soft and sweet. A blush dusting his cheeks as they gazed at each other. It was quickly erased by the vision in front of him. Katsuki’s smile was just a bit too wide, as well as his eyes as he stepped over the debris into the room. His eyes glowed brightly, bright teal in the middle of his familiar crimson ones.

Relief and despair crashed down on him all at once, immediately overwhelming the hero.

“KATSUKI!” He couldn’t help but screaming out.

His tears flowed down his face, cutting through the dust that was caked on his skin now. Despite the mess, Katsuki still looked pristine. His face was clean all but a smear of red lipstick on his bottom lip, it could have even been blood with how rich the colour was. The blonde stared down at him, his face free from all emotions save for the gleeful smile he had. He craned his neck to glance behind him, revealing the worst so far. A large ‘DEKU’ tattooed on the side of his neck. The red head could feel the red hot rage coiling up inside him. How dare he mark him like he was some sort of property to be owned. There were hearts marring the opposite side of his face as well. How had he missed it in all the pictures he poured over for months. Sure, it was usually shitty surveillance footage but surely he would have seen it. The red head couldn’t help but stare at his outfit. An orange fur like long sleeve top over top a shorts style leotard.

His thoughts were only interrupted when a dark chuckle cut through the air.

“Slow down there Kitty,” Deku said, stepping in behind him, his eyes flashing in the glow of the small fire that had ignited from the explosion, “I still need to talk with the heroes.”

The red head gnashed his teeth together in frustration, “what the hell did you do to him?”

The villain chuckled again wrapping his arm around the blondes waist, while the other hand tipped his chin back, their lips a breath apart.

The red head’s eyes flew wide in rage but he stayed stubbornly in place on the ground, the shock of the situation still too much for his exhausted body.

“Whose to say I did anything to him?” Deku stated, amusement clear in his tone.

His eyes never left the red head, as if taunting him. Look at what I have and you don’t. Katsuki was looking at the villain how he was supposed to be looking at him. With longing and love. The thought only made him more angry. He settled for levelling him with a narrowed glare, slowly climbing to his feet.

“I know Katsuki better than anyone,” he hissed, he watched as the villain’s eye twitched in annoyance, “you might have known him longer, but that doesn’t mean shit if he didn’t give you the time of day.”

The same twitch repeated itself, dropping his hands from the blonde as he faced the red head more head on. The blonde pouted for a moment, before he watched in interest again. Katsuki was never one to watch in silence, making it even more uncomfortable and unsettling.

“I’d say this all has something to do with that freaky eye of yours,” Kirishima stated, his glare growing even harsher.

Deku’s face cooled, the earlier irritation disappearing from his expression as he stared down his nose at the red head. Regardless of being a good head taller than most people, Kirishima couldn’t help but feel 3 feet tall in front of the villain.

“I’m surprised Red Riot,” Deku stated, his tone smug to match his expression, “you’re a lot smarter than I remember.”

The red head growled, crouching down ready to leap at the villain. He was done listening to the man ramble on and on. Before he could charge, the villain pulled a pistol from his pocket. The hero froze, his mouth dropping in shock as Deku pushed the barrel against the blonde’s lips.

“However, unfortunately for you, he’ll listen to whatever I tell him.”

His grin grew even wider as, the blonde just stared up at him. “Open up darling~.” He cooed.

Katsuki immediately followed his orders, dropping his mouth open so the barrel could slide past his lips.

The red head eyes blew wide screaming in horror, “STOP! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!?”

Deku smirked again, “Oh? You don’t like that?”

He shoved the pistol deeper into the others mouth, not even flinching. “He doesn’t seem to mind.”

“Please. Please, just let him go,” Kirishima breathed around a wet sob, “goddamn it just let him go!”

Something flashed in the others eyes, taking his attention momentarily from the love of his life a trigger away from being dead in front of him. Deku was happy. Not because he had Katsuki in his grasp; he had that for months and still decided to break his way into a Pro Hero agency. Not even just happy, he was satisfied. A cold realization washed over him.

“Holy shit,” he breathed, sliding to the ground.

Deku raised a questioning brow, but didn’t let up the hold he had on the blonde.

“This isn’t about Katsuki at all is it? This is about me having something that you couldn’t,” Kirishima stated, staring at the other, “this was all to get back at me.”

The villains face stayed neutral, however he could see the flicker of surprise in the other’s eyes.

He didn’t want to be right, but he knew he was as he sunk into himself. Month’s the blonde has been gone, and for what? Some shitty revenge? The falter in the red head’s expression was enough to make the villain give a satisfied laugh.

“That’s it Riot. That’s what I wanted to see.” He stated, stepping towards the hero.

The gun slipped from his hand, clattering to the ground as if in a trance. He was caught in his own psychotic spiral. “You must be so tired~ Running around for months.”

He stepped even closer, his sleek dress shoes making a soft splash as he stopped in front of the red head. The villain grabbed Kirishima’s face harshly, yanking him in all directions to get the full effect of his expression. His grin widened even more, “face it. You lost him. To me.”

Kirishima couldn’t hide his own grin, slapping the hand away from him as volts of electricity traveled up the villains legs.

“What?” The villain breathed, his hair standing on end a moment before he was encompassed in Kaminari’s electric attack.

“Not today asshole,” Kirishima grinned, jumping backwards far away as the villain was engulfed in the electricity.

The villain screamed, his head thrown back as his body seized with the shocks. It took him a moment to release his own electricity to absorb the shocks. He hunched forward, panting heavily as he tried to catch his breath.

“Kaachan,” he snapped, “blow it all away.” He ordered.

His face was twisted in an ugly snarl, very different from the earlier cool facade he had.

The blonde giggled, “no problem.”

The red head stepped closer to the panting villain.

It was lucky for them that Deku had clouded his mind enough that he was barely aware of his surroundings. When he went to ignite his explosions, the largest he could get was a few sparks dancing in his palms.

Closer.

“What the hell?! What’s wrong with my quirk?” He exclaimed, the unnatural smile finally dropping from his lips in favour of a confused scowl.

“Sorry Kat,” Mina stated, coming from behind him, the syringe still clenched in her fist.
“Eri worked hard for that,” Kaminari added.

Closer.

He wasn’t wrong. The now UA student had been working closely with their agency during her internship to create temporary quirk erasing injections to use against villains. She was very hopeful that it would help get Katsuki back some way.

“What did you do?!” Deku yelled, glaring towards the trio.

Closer.

“You shouldn’t look away from your opponent.” The red head’s own feral grin spread across his face as the villains face whipped back towards him.

His eyes widened, just as Kirishima’s hardened talon like fingers raked down the right side of his face. Deep and unforgiving.

He screamed, louder than before as he hunched forward his hands pressed to his face as he shook. He leaned back slightly, blood flowing between his fingers. His now one good eye, glowed between his fingers in a glare aimed at the red haired hero.

The blood from the villain was warm on his cheek from the blowback of his claws. Kirishima opted to ignore him, instead staring unblinkingly at his husband. Blood steadily dripped from his claws as Katsuki blinked rapidly like he was trying to free an eyelash from his eye. The teal glow finally dimmed from his red eyes completely and he was left blinking confused around the room. His hand flew to his forehead with a wince.

“What the hell is going on?” He growled angrily, trying to catch his bearings.

Kaminari immediately burst into tears, snot running from his nose. He could tell that he was restraining himself from jumping on the blonde. “Oh thank god, you’re okay,” He sobbed.

Mina was a bit more dignified, simply smiling at the other softly. Relief clear in her expression.

The red head watched the scene with a soft smile, it was enough just to know that he was alright. He was far from done with the villain however.

He heard the scoff of a laugh, giving him the cue that he need to turn and address the villain. He spared a glance over his shoulder at the injured ex hero student.

“We’re not so different after all Red Riot,” Deku stated, his expression smug although he still had his hand still pressed again his new wound.

The hero let out a scoff of his own, fully turning towards the villain.

“I’m nothing like you,” he stated, glaring at him.

There it was again. That satisfied grin from before on the villains face. He looked like he had won something.

“Right.. because it’s hero like to gouge someone’s eye out.”

The red head hero’s eyes widened for a second, letting the villain feel like he won for a second before he shattered him to pieces.

He put a mask in place years ago. Behind his mask was something scary, someone scary. What was he to do though? Deku was coming at him with a crow bar, trying to pry it off and he was tired of trying to keep it on. He wanted it off so bad… well, it wasn’t his fault.

He relished in the shock that took over the villains face as he laughed with narrowed eyes and stalked towards his newest prey.

“I don’t exactly trust your opinion of what a good hero is Deku,” he laughed, he almost pitied the villain.

He thought he was the smartest person in the world, and that went to show how arrogant he was. He hated arrogant people.

“You think you can fuck with my head this late in the game? Please.”

He scowled down at the villain, it was his turn to feel small. He almost laughed at the expression of fear on his face.

“Wow, it really doesn’t take long to turn the tables on your huh?” He laughed to himself.

“C’mon Deku, both of us went to UA but only one of us is a hero.” The red head stated.

The villain only stared at the other as he crouched down in front of him.

“C’mon man! What does that tell you?” Kirishima added, his amusement clear.

Deku stayed silent unable to respond. It could have been the blood loss, he could’ve just been scared.

“You got caught and kicked out for being a freak,” Kirishima stared, memories of the day Midoriya was kicked out of  UA replaying in his head.
Katsuki had been out of class for a week after it happened. He still doesn’t understand why he was so upset about him disappearing.

“I graduated and became a Pro Hero,”

He remembered the many photos he took with his parents and the squad that day. The photo him and Katsuki took was framed and sitting on their mantle at home.

“You went on your first rampage,”

It was a bad one, he wasn’t going to lie. A lot of people had died that day. Katsuki had taken it horribly, and blamed himself for a very long time. That was the moment that Deku truly became a blight in his otherwise perfect life. He almost felt euphoric that he was finally going to squash this bug for good.

“I fell in love,”

The best memories he has are of Katsuki, but ones of the best being the forehead kisses that Katsuki gave him every time he was pouting or thinking too hard about something.

“You said before that we’re not too different, but I disagree Deku,” Kirishima stated, leaning even more over him, “there’s a huge difference between us, can you tell me what it is?”

The other floundered for a response, his lips opening and closing silently.

“Here, I’ll give it to you since you look like you’re going to shit yourself,” Kirishima cut in with a warm smile.

He glared down at the villain, his smile still in place, “I didn’t get caught.”

The expression that Midoriya gave him in response was more satisfying than anything else he’s ever received.

He loved Katsuki more than anything in his life. Katsuki’s a pro hero, so Ejirou is a pro hero. If Katsuki wanted to become a villain, well call Ejirou blood riot instead of red riot. He’d give him the world if he could and more. But this time, just this time he’s decides he’s going to be a bit selfish and do something that he wants to do.

*

“Just hold on Kats, Medics are on their way,” Mina stated, with a small smile as the blonde clenched his eyes shut tightly.

“I don’t need medics,” he grunted lowly, “I need to know what the hell is going on!”

Kaminari gave the other a wince, his face lax in worry.

“I promise we’ll fill you in when it’s safe,” his eyes darted over his shoulder, glancing at the menacing back of Kirishima.

He felt safe to say that with the red head between them and the villain they felt safer to stand back.

There were a numerous amount of vehicles pulling up outside the crater that was left in the agency wall, as Sero ran through towards them; a scowl set deep in his face.

“Where is he?,” he demanded, “transport’s ready.”

Kaminari spared a glare over his shoulder, towards the two against the back wall.

“Kiri has him cornered.”

*

“I’m impressed though,” the red head chuckled, “you really got under my skin.”

He stared down at the bloody villain, “I never would have guessed that you would have such a quirk.”

He inspected his still blood covered claws, “I guess I should say had, huh?”

His smile dropped for a moment, staring at him unblinking, “I’m going to make sure you’re never going to make it even close to Tartarus.”

Deku couldn’t help his grin from sneaking back onto his face, “you’ll never get away with that.”

The amusement returned to Kirishima’s face.

“Oh Deku,” The red head chuckled lowly, his sharp teeth glinting menacingly, “who the hell is going to believe you?”

The hero loomed over the other, pushing him up against the wall, “just looking at you makes me sick.”

“Maybe I should have gone for this side of your face, the K is for Katsuki right?” He growled,  “Maybe I should carve my name into your neck.”

He was only stopped when Sero appeared behind him.

“I’ll take it from here Kiri,” he stated, breaking the red head’s laser focus on the villain.

His usual easy going grin returned to his face as he turned towards his long time friend.

“Right. Thanks Sero.” He replied, stepping out of the shadowed darkness.

Turning towards the partner he’d been missing for so long was like taking a breath of fresh air. He was just as beautiful as the moment he’d lost him; save for a couple tattoos they’d need to eventually take care of.

The blonde’s eyes widened as Kirishima ran towards him, scraping his knees and bare feet as he skidded to a stop in front of him and grabbing onto him tightly. His eyes scanned the other’s face looking for any indication of lingering quirk but found nothing. Kirishima pulled him into his chest tightly, burrowing his face into his neck. The familiar scent that had been slowly disappearing from their apartment was finally back to where it was supposed to be. Next to him.

“Thank God you’re alright Katsuki,” he stated softly, it felt the whirlpool that was quickly consuming him had finally calmed.

Who knows what would have happened if the anchor grounding him was gone for any longer.

The blonde gripped the back of the other’s dark hoodie, “yeah,” he breathed, smiling softly.

*

“Stay still.” Sero ordered, opening a large wad of gauze to tape over the others wounds, “you’ll be checked by paramedics before you’re transported to Tartarus for full treatment.”

The villain scoffed loudly before he turned his wide grin to him, this time however it almost seemed resigned.

“You should make sure you don’t like the people escorting me.” He stated simply.

Sero glared down at him, “What the hell are you planning?” he asked, dragging him to his feet after handcuffing him.

Midoriya let out an airy laugh, the ominous glow returning to his one good eye, “Oh, I’m not the one you should be worried about.”

Sero’s brows furrowed in confusion before glancing to where the villain was staring.

Bakugou and Kirishima were holding onto each other tightly, tears gathering stubbornly in the blondes eyes. The red head’s back was heaving as he was trying to control his emotions.

Sero glared back at the villain a sneer making its way onto his face.

“Do you think I’m stupid?” He hissed.

Midoriya shrugged as much as the cuffs would allow him, “Don’t say I didn’t try to warn you.”

The two made their way towards the opening in the building, the sound of sirens were pouring into the small room.

As they approached, the red head couldn’t look less concerned if he tried. His eyes stayed trained on the blonde in his lap, even as the other was glaring straight at the villain.

“Keep moving,” Sero hissed.

His eyes furrowed as the brightness of outside blinded him.

He glanced once more over his shoulder, it wouldn’t hurt to have a final look at his precious Kaachan.

What he saw made him stop in his tracks before getting dragged fully out of the building.

Bakugou grinned at him widely, his eyes glowing red; identical to the red head that had his arm around his waist.

“See you in hell Deku.” Bakugou mouthed to him with a cheeky wave.

He knew.

He was in on it.

The couple was playing and messing around with him the entire time.

He didn’t win shit.

*

The best part of Bakugou Katsuki’s life was being married to the love of his life. The man that would do literally anything for him. They first met in a park when they were both in middle school, Kirishima was pressing lit matches to his hardened skin and Bakugou was yelling at him not too. It was love at first sight for the red head. Bakugou’s infatuation came later in the year when the red head hardened his entire body and punched through a fully grown tree after some extra had confessed to him.

“I suggest you forget you have those feelings,” the red head had growled lowly at the girl.

She ran away pretty quick and never approached the blonde again.

It was the way the red head acted around the blonde that made him fall in love with him. He approached with such raw power to anyone that wanted to mess with the blonde, and then turned around and was the softest kindest person he’s ever known.

Kirishima had packed them a huge lunch one day to eat at their spot in the park. Bakugou was laying down under the shade, his head in the other’s lap as he raked his fingers through his hair softly.

“Would you kill someone for me?” The blonde asked suddenly.
“Who and when?” The other replied immediately, his petting not even slowing.

The answer didn’t surprise the blonde as much as he thought.

“You didn’t even hesitate.” He replied softly, staring in the others’ eyes.

The red head’s hand stilled this time, making direct eye contact with the other. His eyes weren’t exactly hollow, but they held something.

“Katsuki,” he stated, “I would do anything for you. You just have to ask.”

“Anything?” Bakugou breathed, his eyes widened.

The rest was history.
