Chocolate Note | Midoriya

Summary:

You brought a box of gifted chocolates to school to share. However, who gave you the chocolates remains a point of interest for some classmates, especially Izuku.

—Y/n be sharing the chocolates with everyone until Mina gets her hands on it and utterly destroys Izuku—

Work Text:

The spring air was particularly pleasant today. The trees had begun their budding while damp morning air clung to the new green. The few Thrush and Robins that made the campus an area for them to rest were singing their morning greetings, soaring happily all about as if celebrating the new day.

The grass was dewy, but not enough to soak through your shoes as you strolled across the sleepy campus. Even if it did, you wouldn't mind even a little, nothing could bring your spirits down.

No doubt everyone was still in the dorms. Afterall the sun was barely halfway over the horizon. You couldn't help but relish in the thought that you had this entire morning to yourself.

A crisp breeze fluttered through your unbrushed hair, giving you a face full of a sense of freedom and a joy swelled heart.

You stopped for a second and fully took in the peaceful air you rarely got to experience at the usually hectic school. Carefully, you turned and set the purple bunny shaped box on a nearby bench followed by your heavy bag full of school materials.

Taking a moment, your eyes followed every sunlit detail of the empty quad, letting the stillness centre your person.

Your hands begin to drift through the air that wove and threaded through your relaxed fingers. A redirection of air stirred in a breeze that swirled around you again, offering another chance to appreciate the calming sensation of a breeze in your already ruffled hair.

With a flick of your wrist, the air you had under command created a strong, steady updraft a few feet in front of you. You chuckled and hopped belly first atop of it, keeping you suspended you as it continued to blow past you then circle back down in a continuous loop.

After a bit of struggle you flipped around to your back and crossed your legs. You gathered the strands of hair out of your face, sliding the long hair clip you always had on hand and pinned back your bangs. Satisfied with your work, you clasped your hands behind your head, relaxing completely into the morning. Your bottoms and undone blazer fluttered against the strong wind as a content smile remained stable across your face.

A long breath swirled about your lungs while you bobbed your foot up and down absentmindedly, finally finding a perfect opportunity to let your thoughts drift off to where they dared.

The time you had off from school for Easter was welcomed by you with open arms. Sure, becoming a hero was your lifelong dream so you could protect the people you loved, but you didn't want to get tunnel vision or lose motivation. So being able to go and spend time with your family was the best way to balance and refresh your mindset.

Sure, it wasn't totally advised now that your class was getting such noterietay, but the school couldn't legally stop any of you from going home for a little while.

You weren't too worried about it, it wasn't like you were a more widely known student from the class anyway, and you didn't have any villain nemesis yet. Some may say that was almost a rarity amongst class A, possibly even a taboo of sorts as a 3rd year student in UA, but you called it good luck. Especially considering how badly you'd beat up some criminals in the past.

Everyone had most likely returned back to school yesterday evening like they usually did after a break. But you stayed an extra night despite the possibility of not making it to school on time.

You sighed, your breath get taken away in the slip stream as you let your head lull back to stare at the clear blue sky. It always calmed you, the crispness of a new day—

"G-Good morning L/n!"

"Wha—?!" The sudden voice of Izuku to your left made your heart jump. You quickly raised your head, losing the delicate balance you had which sent the air into a confused frenzy. This break in concentration resulted in you losing total control of your air current, tossing you flat on your back as the wind swiftly dissipated.

The green haired male yipped and rushed to your aid, an embarrassed pink coated his freckled face.

He peered down at you, warily. "I-I'm sorry about that! I didn't realize you were so deep in thought. Are you alright?!" He stared to apologize furiously. The flush on his cheeks started to morph into a darker shade as he offered you his hand up.

The dazed look in your eyes was quickly blinked away as you met his gaze. You couldn't help the sudden fond smile that spread across your face at the sight of him. Truly a good start to the school week.

"Oh! Good morning Izuku!" You greeted brightly and sat up, attempting to smooth your hair down somewhat before taking his slightly clammy, calloused hand.

He hoisted you to your feet easily as you used a controlled gust of air to propel yourself up, just to make it a bit easier. After all, you could never be sure what kind of injuries this dude may have at any point in time.

"It's all good, don't worry about it." You replied with a wide grin, giving his hand a gentle squeeze.

He shyly looked to your hand in his.

Knowing that he wasn't the best with close contact, you slipped your hand away to rest on your hip. "So, what're you doing out and about so early?"

He chuckled and scratched the back of his head. "I'm actually just getting back from a run." He said it like he was embarrassed to admit his healthy habit.

You took a moment as your eyes drifted down, only then realizing the All Might themed sweat shirt and joggers he sported.

He stiffened under your obviously wandering gaze on his body, not only that but his body that was so clearly broadcasting his All Might obsession. He shuffled about, wanting nothing more than to bury his face in his hands.

A smile cracked across your face as your eyes returned to his. "Oh, I guess I should've known. You and your fitness, it's pretty inspirational just how serious you are about your training." You commented kindly as you made you way to your things that waited on the bench.

A confused look crossed Izuku's warm face while his eyes followed after you. "What do you mean? What I'm doing— it isn't any different than anyone else! E-Everyone takes their training seriously! You should know, s-since you work v-very hard too!" He said in that classically passionate voice of his.

A gentle, airy laugh left you as you shouldered your bag and turned to him. "Come on Izuku, you should know by now just how motivated you are on your own. Meanwhile I can't stay focused on anything longer than a week before I need a boost." You pulled the heavy bags second strap over your other shoulder with a small grunt before continuing. "Plus, You don't need to rely on your quirk, the way you fight without it is very impressive." You tapped the side of your head. "And let's not forget that big, beautiful brain of yours always planning away. You're in an entire league of your own."

Izuku went bright red from the brazenness of your praise. He bashfully hung his head low while his hands curled on the cuffs of his sweatshirt.

You momentarily thought that you shouldn't have said everything you did so openly. But that thought quickly left your head like mist on a breeze when you spotted your bunny shaped chocolate box.

"Also—!" You continued, almost making Izuku want to run away from anymore compliments you might have in store. "You have much better self control than I do." The way you stated it, almost amused, made him dare to peek back up at you curiously.

Right away, he noticed the box of velvet soft chocolates cradled in your hand and absentmindedly watched as you plucked one from the box, then slowly popped it in between your lips. The smile on your face and light groan after tasting the sweet made his Adam's apple bob slightly in a dry swallow.

Upon re-opening your eyes you out stretched the bunny shaped box to Izuku. "I know it's six in the morning and you did just finish a run, but you can have one too if you’d like."

The green haired classmate hesitated as he widely stared at the sweets in front of him. He didn't want to turn down your generosity and the sweets did look delicious. "Erm... are you sure?"

You couldn't help the laugh that pushed passed your lips before lightly shaking the box. "Yes I'm sure! Go ahead, indulge." You chirped, eyes sparkling through the butter soft smile you wore. "They're my favourite kind of chocolates so I'd be hard pressed not to share them with a friend."

After another second of consideration, Izuku shakily smiled at you. "W-Well, okay." A small, swirly carved chocolate was pinched between his thumb and index carefully before he tossed it in his mouth and began to chomp away.

Upon seeing the widening of his big green eyes, you grinned happily. "Good?" You questioned playfully as you placed the cardboard lid back on the box.

He nodded eagerly, suppressing his growing smile by covering his mouth. He didn't want to chance you seeing chocolate and caramel on his teeth. However his smile faltered slightly upon seeing a bright pink sticky note crudely taped to the top of the box's lid. It clearly boasted a few doodles of large smiley faces, hearts and stars. Amongst the mess of loving scribbles he made out the few words that accompanied them;

To: my big Airhead
From: your biggest fan ♡

Izuku had a tough time swallowing what he just had read as his chewing slowed on the suddenly bitter chocolate.

Forcing it down he managed to save face and yank his smile back on. "Thank you, Y/n."

"No probbles." You waved off his thanks as you fished your phone from your blazers jacket, checking your phone for the time.

6:47am...

"Hm... well, I should get going." The brief, annoyed expression on your face melted to a smile as you lifted your head towards Izuku. "I guess I'll see you in class!" And with that you started towards the front doors, holding onto your backpacks straps as to lift the load off your back even a little.

He jumped slightly, totally taken aback. "Y-You're heading to class already?" His voice was higher in pitch as confusion laced his surprised words. His eyes followed your retreating form and took a step after you absentmindedly.

You effortlessly spun on your foot thanks to the slick grass and started walking backwards with ease. "Yeah, I asked Miss Midnight to help me catch up with homework before home room."

The blazing grin you shot the boy almost winded him, the irregular beating in his chest became almost unbearable.

"Uh— O-Okay! Bye L/n!" He stammered while giving a small awkward wave that didn't even lift higher than his chest.

Despite his clear embarrassment, you waved back in the same manner. "Later Izuku!" With that last fond goodbye, you whirled back around and disappeared behind the front doors of the high school.

Once he was sure you were gone he promptly dropped his face into his palms, face ablaze accompanied by a giddy smile.

He absolutely adored that you called him Izuku so easily, and the fact that you said it with such a relaxed kindness always dug deep in his heart, leaving a little more of yourself there. At this rate you would completely occupy the space in his chest in no time at all.

He sighed and lifted his doe-eyed head to his surroundings, heart twisting and folding. He only wished to have the same effect on you as you did on him. But the chocolates, clearly not from your parents, haunted his mind, nagging at him that he was too late to earn your affection.

‘I don't really know anything about Y/n's family though. It could be from a sibling... maybe?’

He took a long breath to steady himself, doing his best to get the harsh, twisting feelings between his head and heart to relax.

Taking one last look at the doors that you'd left through, he jogged off to the 3-A dormitories.

*•*•*•*

At this point it felt like your brain was melting. Miss Midnight sure did help your homework situation, but she may have done too good a job. Your brain was throbbing with the sheer amount of knowledge that had just been crammed inside it.

There was only about a ten minute window you had to yourself before your classmates began to mosey in, so you made sure to make the most of it. Closing your eyes, you ran your fingers along your scalp and neck, massaging and kneading in hopes to let the information process. Admittedly though, you felt much lighter with that workload finished.

Footsteps at the door yanked you back from your relaxation as your eyes slowly peeled open. There stood Tenya Iida, obscenely early for class in your opinion.

He went bug-eyed at the sight of you sitting at your desk with your books ready. "Oh! Good morning L/n!" The clear shock in his voice suggested he may as well had seen a grizzly bear with a party hat in your seat.

You gingerly waved in response until your hand fell heavily back to your desk. "Hey Iida."

He made a beeline towards you in his robotic movements. "Why are you here so early?" He asked, placing his stuff down by his desk next to yours seemingly to stare you down.

"I actually got some extra help from Miss Midnight this morning."

Iida was shocked until a smile replaced it. "L/n! I see you are taking your academics seriously! I'm proud of you!" He cheered happily. "But... if I may ask, why today?"

You explained the situation of your extra night home but, imagined you may have to repeat the tale a few more times so didn't explain for longer than a couple seconds. After all you were religiously last to enter the classroom, and the curiosity of class A students knows no bounds.

As a few more students started to funnel in, you caught a few surprised stares in your direction.

Izuku and Uraraka were no exceptions. When the pair walked in chatting politely with each other, Izuku's eyes located you right away, squaring his shoulders on sight. You couldn't help the smile that lifted on your face as you offered him a small wave.

He side smiled in his usual nervous attitude and waved back with a tiny chuckle, a soft pink dusted his freckled cheeks.

Uraraka turned to see who he was looking at only for her big bright eyes to land on you as well. However, she was far more mystified at your being there, similar to the rest of the class. She bid Izuku a kind goodbye and quickly made her way towards you and Iida, placing her things on her desk behind the engine quirked boy.

"Y/n! Erm— Good morning..!" She almost struggled to say it, unnecessarily blown away at the sight of you.

"Good morning Ochaco." A polite reply was your only response before you set the side of your head on your desk, gently smiling at the girl.

She opened her mouth to say something but stopped with the words in her throat. Her eyes dragged down to your bag on the floor next to you and instead opted to comment on your peculiar breakfast.

"Are those chocolates?" She asked, pointing down at the bunny shaped box.

You, along with a few other students, perked at the mention of the sugary sweets that sat nestled atop your bag. You peeked over the side of your desk at the box and chuckled lightly. "Yeah, they are." Your hand reached down and scooped them up, offering some to Ochaco. "Want some?"

The girl blushed a cute pink. "Oh! Uh, okay!" She grabbed a chocolate and popped it in her mouth, ignoring Iida's sudden health spiel.

Sero, who has just settled in his desk that was diagonal to yours looked back to you with a chunky elbow resting on the back of his chair. "Hey L/n, do you think I could have one too?"

"Sure, go ham." You reached the box out to him and he gladly snatched it up. He greedily stared upon the delightful sights of the box.

By the time he had scarfed down three, Kirishima quickly nabbed the box from Sero's eager hands. "Hey! Don't eat them all! They aren't yours dude." The redhead scolded, before also peering at the box and slowly becoming entranced by the delicacies before him.

You could tell the way his head was fixed at the box in his hands he wanted some, so by the time he turned around to ask you cut him off with a simple 'Go ahead.'

He beamed and took one out, slowly savouring the one-bite sweet, then placing the lid back on top. "Mm! Thanks L/n!" He said happily turning back to give it back to you.

Ashido Mina, who had just tossed her stuff on her desk, darted towards the boy and quickly snatched the box like a hawk from Kirishima's unsuspecting grasp. Your hand grasped at nothing, as your fingers missed the box by a hair.

The red head blinked a few times, rather confused until he stared up at the pink girl who was staring holes into the box.

Annoyed, you turned your eyes to the rest of the class wondering if they saw what she just did too.

Most everyone's eyes were cast in her direction, none were particularly interested though. Except for Izuku, who's eyes were trained on Ashido intently.

He noticed your eyes on him right away though and he quickly returned his stare to his notebook, wide eyed with his lips pressed in a thin line.

That moment didn't slip past the acid wielding girl's scrutinizing gaze. Once you met her playful eyes you instantly got a sinking feeling that something less than ideal would happen.

"Hmm... Y/n~" She cooed, tapping her index finger against the fluorescent pink note on the lid. "You got some chocolate from an admirer I see." The mischievous glint in her eyes made you feel like you should end this quickly. But the fact that the note came off in that way did put you in a bit of a fluster.

"N-No! It's not like that—!" You denied with an uncomfortable laugh.

She wasn't having any of it. "Look at all of these hearts! Oh~! It's so precious!"

On the other side of the classroom, Midoriya desperately tried to block out what he was hearing, but it was like Ashido was purposefully talking right in his ear. His grip on his pencil tightened as an overwhelming feeling of frustration and sadness he had tried to ignore started to bubble.

The embarrassment was inching up your neck, lightly warming the entirety of your face. "Ashido,—"

She made a face and clutched her shirt where her heart would be. "Oh my god, these pet names are gonna kill me! Who is this person of yours?!" Her mind seemed to begin to race with intriguing possibilities.

Izuku couldn't really handle Ashido's questioning, no matter how light hearted it was meant. It was getting out of control. So he rose to his feet, about to put a stop to it with all the courage he could gather.

Just as you were about to put your foot down you once again got cut off by the girl.

"I bet it's from Midoriya.~" She said, seemingly without much thought as she traced the hearts on the tag in a dreamy manner.

That simple sentence turned Izuku's spine to stone. His scarred grip on the sides of his desk tightened to the point he thought the edges may very well snap off beneath his palms. The feeling of the classroom's eyes on him was enough to make his soul yearn to be freed to the wilds of the other side.

In a cold sweat, he peered over his shoulder straight in Ashido's direction, clearly remembering the time he told her about his feelings for you in confidence. She only really seemed to feel the weight of her incorrect assumption when his wide, terrified eyes locked onto hers.

"Uh..." She coaxed the classroom's attention over to her now, giving Midoriya some type of break from the onlookers. "I— ...eheh.. just kidding!" She said towards the yet-to-be-full class, then quickly slid the box onto your desk while avoiding eye contact with you.

With no time for you to formulate even a single question, she hurried to her desk and plopped her forehead against its surface, wrapping her arms around her horned head in raging shame.

The green eyed young man slowly traced his straining eyes towards you, dreading to see your reaction. Yet, he felt compelled to know if you were just as shaken as him.

Your wide eyes stared at the pink girls form that had become as small as she could make it. "Izuku?" You muttered to yourself, mulling over the information then swiftly swept your gaze towards the shy guy.

He had a slight tremor in his arms and upon seeing him you could not deny just how red and panicked his face was.

Bakugo, with his impeccable timing, strolled in through the doors, his hands stuffed in his pockets casually and his backpack slug over his left shoulder. His stern eyes squinted into a scowl after only a few paces into the room and he stood in place before the class.

His eyes scanned the tense room, confused and annoyed. With his ever so eloquent communication skills he spoke coldly. "What the hell is with you nerds?!"

The sobriety of his angered puzzlement seemed to dissolve the stillness that held the class in its iron grip. Life awkwardly resumed its steady flow of time, back to normal with the rest of the world.

Izuku had finally managed to sit himself back down, despite it feeling like he was forcing diamonds to bend. Truly, the only thing he wanted to do was book it out through the door. His eyes snapped away from you and back down to his lap, hoping to bury his unwelcome feelings of mortification and anxiety.

The spiky headed blonde sneered at the class as his question was left unanswered, but you supposed he didn't throw a fit about it since that icky feeling in the air was beginning to dilute.

Unfortunately, the happenings weighed heavy on your mind. Even well into Aizawa’s teachings and against you best efforts, it stood at the forefront of your thoughts.

Izuku was still dwelling on it too from the way his eyes didn't lift once throughout the entire lesson thus far, they were instead fixed on his hands that sat unmoved atop his notes. Yet it wasn't hard to see his mind was working overtime. He didn't catch a single one of Ashido's apologetic glances towards him either.

Despite how horribly this all happened though, you couldn't deny the odd giddiness you felt at the simple thought of Izuku having romantic feelings towards you. Still, this really wasn't the greatest way to find out about it, especially when you had to sit in a stew of emotions with an entire ninety minutes of lessons ahead of you.

In face it was torture.

You flipped to a blank page in your note book and began to scribble. Writing with such fervour that it gained the passive glances of fellow students around you.

It read;
hey Izuku, I'd like to talk with you after class about that thing that happened with Ashido. Don't worry, nothing bad I promise!

After not taking the time to really read what you wrote, you momentarily wondered if you should just text this instead.

Then again, If you did that you wouldn't get to do some fancy quirk work and be focused on something else.

Making up your mind, you stuck with the note. He wouldn't check his phone till after class anyway.

As quietly as you could, you pulled your note off the notepad rings then messily folded it into the smallest square possible, casually letting your hand droop off the front of your desk as you dropped it on the floor behind Kirishima.

You let it stay there for a good minute or so, making sure Mr. Aizawa didn't see or suspect anything. Once he turned to the board and started drawing out some type of battle strategy, you flicked your eyes to the paper and jerked your index finger to the left.

A careful puff of air knocked the folded paper across the row, ending up beneath Sero's chair.

You didn't miss Tokoyami's eyes falling on the paper in front of him then over to you with a questioning gaze. He stayed silent however, much to your relief.

A couple more of the students in the last row caught a glimpse of it as well.

This may be a problem, if everyone keeps watching it, Aizawa was sure to spot it too.

Rethinking your strategy made you look to Midoriya directly.

A playful smile rises on your face. With a soft, practiced grace, you brushed a gentle current up the back of Izukus head.

His spine straightened rigidly as his hand slapped against the back of his neck, only to glance back at Mineta with something similar to a mildly annoyed scowl.

He didn't have time to say anything to the purple headed creep before yet another gust licked up the front of his face, making him shut his eyes while it puffed his bangs up. Confusion painted his face for only a second until his green gaze met your mischievous one.

An adorable shade of red deepens the complexion of his cheeks.

You pointed at the note under an unknowing Sero then to Izuku. As his eyes landed on it, you flicked it into the air at him.

Panicked, he damn near jumped out of his chair as he shot his arm out to it. Successfully, the paper crushed into his palm in an unnecessarily strong grip.

"Question, Midoriya?" Mr. Aizawa asked, predictably monotonous.

Izuku froze in place, as bullets of sweat beaded on his forehead. "Uh... N-No! I mean.. I-I uh... Is that a new strategy?" His voice squeaked, as he awkwardly rested his elbow on his desk, still semi-standing.

Aizawa blinked slowly and breathed a deep, annoyed sigh. "I suggest you and L/n find a more discreet way to communicate in my class." He rested his palms on his desk casually. "Maybe you would have if either of you were paying attention to this lesson at all."

Oh good, more embarrassment. You started to worry about Midoriya's stress levels.

Impulsively quickly you stood up to take some of the heat off him which sent your chair back with a small screech. “…Erm, Sorry Mr. Aizawa." You said collecting everyone's attention from Izuku as you bowed apologetically.

Aizawa hummed dismissively and turned to the board. "Just pay attention, please."

With that both you and Izuku awkwardly sat about down. He quickly peeked into the note against his lap, running his vision over it once, twice; completely enamoured with what was written in a way that pumped apprehension into his already frail heart.

Stiffness held your bodies captive as he lifted his head to the board, folding the note up again and shoving it in his pants pocket.

Class slipped by in an anxious haze, like you were floating through a cold, misty cloud that left behind small cool beads of sweat when the end of the period was encroaching. The sobriety of what was to come only completely settled when the bell rang, shooting each strike of the alarm through your heart and fingertips.

An itch to run away made itself known once you stood and your feet that held full control on where you were going.

This fear wasn't expected.

As if walking on a tightrope, you managed your way out of the class. Unintentionally you ignored whatever Uraraka said to you as you escaped the room, laser focused on not booking out of here.

Deep breaths.

You waited down the hall opposite to the way the class was funnelling, standing rigidly as you scanned for green hair.

Finally he stepped out nervously, looking both ways down the hall as he came into view. The look on his face stirred something else entirely as frantic butterflies flapped rapidly against the insides of your squirming stomach.

His messy hair looked even more disheveled than usual as he meekly made his way towards you. The red painted across his freckled face could be seen from outer space as his eyes were doing gymnastics, bouncing off of everything around him to avoid you who stood in the middle of it all.

"Ah— Hey, Izuku." The greeting was noticeably weaker than your usual tone, a mental curse shot through your mind as you rocked on your heels.

His eyes only managed to look at you for a second before falling away again. "H-Hello, L/n." His hand found its way into his fluffy hair, tugging and shaping it to his nervousness, messing with it further into a state of disarray.

"I—uh... I'm sorry about Mina, I don't think she meant to, uh, to do that. I should've gotten after her for it." You gripped the bottom hem of your blazer tightly, attempting some form of eye contact with him.

His shoulders squared as he bowed his head down, staring at his shoes. "No, I should apologize, that must've been... really embarrassing for you." His voice was small and started to crack a little, as he placed his hand against his face, mortified. "I—"

You didn't say a thing, despite how much you wanted to, you waited for him to finish his thought.

As seconds ticked by, Izuku found his even breath and pulled it into his quivering lungs. "I just wish that..." He sighed and lifted his head, his watery eyes only making contact with yours in small bursts of bravery. "I wish it played out differently. I should've been the one to tell you about my feelings." His watering eyes looked off, hurt and embarrassed. "And because I didn't say anything to you sooner... this happened, and I'm too late."

This piqued your interest and you tilted your head, a bit of panic shot through your spine. "What do you mean you're too late?"

Izuku blinked rapidly meeting your eyes with a puzzled complexion. "The... the chocolates? Aren't they from...?" He trailed off as his mind started firing off new possibilities.

The previous panic that was eating away at you turned to nothing but a refreshing mist. "Oh! no! No no no no!" A relaxed smile scooped up the corners of your lips. "Haha no." You pulled the chocolates out from the straps holding them to your bag and presented it to Izuku, pointing at the tag. "This is from my little sister."

Izuku's face ran through a range of emotions until landing on cautiously relieved as his broad shoulders relaxed a bit. "Oh! Heh I-I uh, I thought—." He stopped himself and scratched the back of his head, blushing profusely. "Well... you know."

"Heh, nah, I don't have any fans outside of my family." You laughed lightly.

A nervous look over took his features. "Well... I'm a fan." His comment dig deep into you, hitting your heart as sweetly as a truck could. It left you momentarily winded as he looked off, glancing at you once and a while.

A grin spread across your face as you steadily recovered from his gentle, loving nature towards you. "I guess now would be a good time to tell you, that I'm a fan of yours too."

Before he could try to decipher what you may have meant, you reached out to his rough, calloused hand and scooped it into yours to intertwine your fingers with his.

His heart raced erratically in his chest as he stared at you completely for the first time. Astoundment took shape on his face as a crooked grin beamed onto you. "Really?"

You huffed, a good natured smirk pointed at him as you pulled him closer to you by the hand. "Of course 'really.' Izuku, you are the most compassionate person I know, how could I not be?"

His face was hotter than freshly steamed vegetables but his expression was fairly relaxed with a bashful smile. His free hand timidly reached up to your face to cup your cheek as delicately as he could, as if you were made of bone china.

"C-Can I, uh..." His eyes flicked to your lips for a second before he swallowed. "May I kiss you?" He managed to say as his big met your eyes again, embarrassed.

You nodded softly, offering a gentle smile as you tilted your head to reach him, letting your eyes slip closed as he carefully guided your lips to his.

It was sweet and soft, expressing nothing but pure affection and appreciation for the other. A breeze wrapped itself around you both while you squeezed his hand. Izuku squeezed back while he deepened the kiss by only a fraction before he pulled away.

You stared at him, starry eyed as a stupid grin caught your face in its giddy embrace. "Wow..." You said almost breathless as the breeze fluttered both his and your hair airily about.

"D-Don't say stuff like that!" He groaned, his embarrassment coming back full swing as he looked away.

A sly smirk overtook your starry eyes as you frowned a bit. "What? You're a good kisser!"

"Y/n!" He cried, taking step away from you, turning his head away. As if he would leave if your hands weren't tethered together.

You chuckled and went to stand in front of him again. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'll stop."

A breath of relief followed a few moments of him staring at you, making sure you weren't lying. "Thank you."

A mischievous smirk pulled the ends of your mouth. "...but you should say my first name more often. I liked it."

He didn't say anything else, he instead just trudged down the hall to his next class with you in tow, with his face burning up and you chuckling through the school after him.
