Impulse knew that at the end of the game everything would go back to how it was before. No more affectionate smiles. No more exclamations of "We're soulmates!" to every passerby. No more loving embraces.
At the end of it all, there would be nothing.
And Impulse hated the thought of that.
or, a glitch in the server causes Impulse's conscience to split, he falls into a coma, and faces the true extent of his feelings for his soulmate. All in that order.
or or, I decided that Impulse is too wholesome for this world and deserves the chance to have his emotions be absolutely obliterated!
