The students were tired, but excited. The first round was hard but everyone in the stadium right now passed, be it heroics, support or gen.Ed.
Excitement filled the air, everyone wanted to win, to prove themselves or in the case of a certain student, to watch chaos unfold
She knows that the arena is going to get dangerous, but she doesn't care. This will help take away any suspicion towards her (Especially with her parents being "Participants") and, if greenie-kun is right, the purple boys and the annoying blondes are in more danger than her.
Suddenly a bell rang and the pro-hero midnight strolled into the stage, marking the end of the commercial break and start of the second round. The speakers crackled to life, with the voice of the pro-hero and radio show host Present Mic, while the spectators went back to their seats
"WELCOME BACK EVERYONE, TO THE ONE AND ONLY YUEEI SPORTS FESTIVAL, LAST ROUND MOST OF THE STUDENTS WERE ELIMINATED IN A OBSTACLE RACE. NOW THE 42 REMAINING STUDENTS ARE GOING TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SECOND CHALLENGE"
"Yes youngsters" Said the pro-hero midnight " your fight is still not over, your second challenge is going to be..."
She snapped her whip towards a big screen displaying a wheel that started to spin.
Just as the wheel was stopping the screen suddenly turned black. Shutters descended on the exits of the stadium, and unknown to anyone inside, robots started to congregate around it
"Thank you midnight, but I will take it from here" a voice said from the speakers while the screens turned on revealing a teenager with green hair, green eyes and freckles. A shout of "Deku!" rang from the students down the Arena"Hello Japan, I'm the Host and if anyone leaves the stadium or the cameras stop filming our volunteers will meet a tragic fate"
He pointed behind him where a red curtain was pulled aside by someone out of frame, revealing eight people tied up in chairs with heavy metal chains. One of them was widely recognized as the pro-hero Ingenium, who was also watching all of this happening through a big screen
The civilians around him looked at the hero, wondering that if Ingenium was kidnapped then who was in patrol? Iida Tensei was wondering himself what was happening
"As some students certainly already noticed these are their family members that we kidnapped yesterday" The boy continued "you may be thinking: 'but I saw my parents today' or 'one of those people is me? How is that possible?' And the answer is that the ones that are free are clones. If you doubt it, let me show you"
The Host then pointed a remote towards the screen and as he pressed the button he said "Abracadabra"
Suddenly, several explosions happened in the seating area of the stadium as some of the people watching exploded, blood and grey goo flying everywhere. Unknown to them, the same happened across all of Japan, including in a crowded street as Ingenium exploded. People screamed and children cried in fear. A stampede happened as everyone runned towards the locked exits and banged on the shutters
The heroes tried to keep order while the principal attempted to open the doors or stop the transmission but someone or something was overwriting his control
"Now, now, everyone calm down and nobody else will have to die" The green haired boy then paused and tilted his head upwards, as if considering something before letting out a creepy chuckle"Actually, at least one more person will have to die. But only if you play my game"
He opened his arms wide and smiled down at the 42 students
"one of the students down in the arena will have to kill another" he said while his smile got wider "if no one dies before the time is over, the hostages are going to be the ones paying the price. A student down there needs to be the one committing the murder and suicide won't count. You have two minutes!"
As he finished his speech, a timer of 2 minutes appeared on the corner of the screen and started counting down

Nezu didn't waste a second to start tracking the signal but it was far from easy
"You must all be thinking I am a monster" said the Host, uncaring about the widespread panic his words caused "and you would be right but am I not simply giving you people what you wanted?"

He opened his arms wide and smiled down at them
"You all tuned in to watch kids beat each other up. I simply-" he threw a knife in between Ingenium feet causing Tenya Iida to let out a cry "upped the stakes"

Katsuki couldn't believe what he was seeing. Quirkless Deku was threatening his mom and other people
How dare he!?
Doesn't he know his place
Was he so jealous of Katsuki he decided to be a shitty villain!?
Katsuki won't even be able to beat him into his place since he is going to be thrown at jail by the heroes, because of course the quirkless Deku will be found before the time is over
Katsuki is not scared
He is not!

Tenya Iida was shaking with barely concealed rage and fear
His beloved brother was being threatened by a nefarious villain!
The thought of playing the villain game crossed his mind vit he quickly shook it of
Tenya is a hero and heroes don't kill!
Besides, the heroes will find and rescue the hostages before the time is over!

Neito Monoma was terrified, despite having what his classmates call a 'huge ego', he is self-aware enough to know his own emotions
And he is terrified
He can't look away from his mom terrified face
She was supposed to be in the audience with her father and brother! He talked with her, she kissed him and told him good luck!
How could he have not noticed his mother was replaced?
What a terrible son he is!
He doesn't want to think about how his father and brother were likely near the clone when it exploded
About the blood and viscera that flew when the clones exploded, something he is afraid wasn't part of the clones
He can only pray he doesn't become an orphan when the day is over

Ashido Mina was nervously fidgeting in place while the timer ticked down
She was happy that none of her parents were kidnapped but this means little when his friends parents are
She can see a woman that looks like Bakugou and Tenya's older brother. There is also a young boy with a frog like appearance that looks like Tsuyu, her younger brother probably
What sick monster would threaten the life of a child in live TV
Uraraka is also looking terrified at the TV so Mina thinks one of her parents is also there- probably the brown haired man
Mina nervously looks around at all the people who have their families as hostage, terrified for them
But she is also terrified of them
After all, she doesn't know what she would do if one of her parents were hostages
Would she hope the heroes arrived in time to save them
Or would she play the villain sick game
She thought that big villain in middle school was the most terrifying thing ever. Until the USJ replaced that situation
But she was once more proved wrong
This was the most terrified she's ever been

Hitoshi Shinsou didn't know what to do
His aunt, the one who raised him after his parents dumped him due to his quirk, was being threatened in live TV and the only way to save her was to prove others right
That he really was a villain
He thought that he knew the dangers of heroism after the USJ but he can admit he never thought villains could go after his family
He wasn't even a real hero yet!
Hitoshi didn't know what to do
If any of those hero-brats where to… do what the villain said, people would be sympathetic and not blame them as much
But not with Hitoshi, if he did he would only be proving others right and would get no sympathy
He can't risk losing his chance after he just got it!
His aunt would understand right?
She always supported him and his dreams, she wouldn't want him to throw it away!
But the heroes are going to rescue her and the other hostages!
But if they don't…

That didn't mean she wanted to participate in one
And what is happening now is straight out of a psychological terror film
Her father is being kept hostage and she doesn't know what to do!
She can only look in fear and pray that the heroes rescue him
Or she doesn't know what she may end up doing

Mei Hatsume was terrified
At least that's what anyone looking at her would think. Her mom is being threatened after all and the only way to save her is to become a murderer
But in reality, she was proud on the inside
This was the culmination of Grennie-kun planning after all, a plan she helped come into fruition by helping Mr.Compress break into U.A and download her virus into the system
A virus that keep Nezu himself didn't notice until it was too late while a clone of her is who is preventing the hero from tracking the signal
Not that she will be able to keep Nezu away from two whole minutes but Greenie-kun planned for this
She doesn't really care that her mother is one of the hostages. She and her father hadn't been her parents since she was diagnosed quirkless
Yes, Mei is actually quirkless. Her Zoom quirk that is registered was actually due to contact lenses she was wearing- it also helps that her eyes naturally look like scopes even if they are purely decorative
Her parents were the ones who got the idea of faking her quirk using support items. They lived in Deika City after all, a place full of MLA cultists like themselves. Who knows what they would do to them if they knew the Hatsumes had a quirkless child?
Mei went along with them both because she didn't want to die and because at that time she was still hoping she could regain her parents love
But not anymore, she doesn't really care what happens to them anymore but by her mom being a hostage it helps divert suspicion away from her
Now all that she has to do is to stay away from the other participants- not that this is hard considering that everyone else is keeping themselves away from them
After all, it wouldn't do to die in the first of Greenie-kun games

Shouta Aizawa recognized the boy in the screen
It took a while but the memories came to him eventually
The boy was Midoriya Izuku. The quirkless kid who passed the entrance exam
And that the U.A staff denied entry due to the danger
Shouta felt a bit guilty about it but a quirkless hero was not rational. The boy would end up dead
He was accepted in the General Education Course though since he got first place in the written exam
But he also heard from Nezu that the boy rejected his place, something with was unheard of but Shouta pushed it out of his mind
What Midoriya did was of no concern to him
Except that it now apparently was
Any guilt Shouta had was gone now. He is glad they had prevented a psychopath from entering U.A
He looks down at his students who already suffered so much on the hand of villains and are still suffering more
Shouta is not a religious man but all he can do now is pray that the hostages be safe
And that none of his students becomes a murderer

Nezu finally managed to track back the signal
Whoever was blocking him was extremely talented but they were no match for an enraged Nezu
He was already annoyed after the USJ but despite his best attempts there was nothing he could do
He was annoyed that the HPSC tried to use the USJ incident as an excuse to try to gain more control over U.A- not that they were successful
And now Izuku Midoriya- he remembered who the boy was -is trying to play a sick game with his students and humiliate U.A in live television
He won't let it stand!
He managed to track the signal to an abandoned office building in
He immediately sent a server wide message in the hero network, there was no time to message only the nearby heroes or to organize a team
Besides, Midoriya Izuku is quirkless. Hiw dangerous could he possibly be?

It didn't take long for a hero to burst in and attack the host
The villain held his own against the hero wind quirk but eventually more heroes arrived as backup and The Host was defeated
One hero handcuffed the villain hands while the rest went to free the hostages
The students watching felt tension leave their body as civilians sighed in relief
But one pink haired student knew it was not over yet
"Did you really think you would get away with this?" The hero arresting the villain asked rhetorically
Izuku Midoriya smiled
"Yes" and then he and the hostages exploded

The screen turned black with only the timer ticking in the corner

A beeping sound rang from the TV before the transmission returned again
Midoriya Izuku was back to standing in the middle of the room with the hostages behind him

"Did you really think it would be that easy?" He asked

"Those were just clones!" His grin started to grow wider while he raised a gun

"But I guarantee you that we are the real ones now!" He shot Mitsuki Bakugou and Katsuki let out a cry of rage and fear

"So make your choices participants!" the bullet hit her in the shoulder and everyone saw as she started to bleed and let out a cry of pain
The other hostages started to cry or scream through their gags while Ingenium glared at The Host with rage

"Time is running out!" He said while looking back at the camera and spinning the gun in his hand

"Tic-toc" he said while in the arena the participants started to look around frantically
Nezu tried to track the signal but he knew he wouldn't be able to locate it in time

Shouta watched as some of the students started to tense up, either to defend themselves if the need arose
Or to attack

"Let's start the count!" The host said while shooting Ingenium in the legs. Tenya let out another cry

Shouta watches as a look of determination enter a student eyes

"Nine!" Another shot that Mei mother and she let out a fake cry even if she is laughing on the inside
She hears the sound of revving engines and smile inwards

"Eight!" A thud a squelch sound is heard and everyone looks the arena
The thud was the sound of Minoru Mineta's decapitated body hitting the ground
Standing over him was Tenya Iida with his right leg covered in blood
The head that he kicked out eventually hits the far wall and falls on the ground. The sound almost seeming to echo in the silence of the stadium
"Congratulations Iida Tenya!" The Host says while applauding "the hostages can be rescued in around an hour on a location I will release later"
He gives a salute and smiles at the camera. Not a creepy smile but a friendly smile that looks even more scarier in these circumstances
"See you on our next show, you have all been a wonderful audience!" He gives a bow and the screen cuts to black before returning to a view of the arena
The doors open up and the robots are deactivated but nobody moves
Tenya Iida falls on his knees and this seems to break the spell that fell over the stadium as panic soon starts
