Chapter Text
To say Netty was stressed, was an understatement.
You see, it had been over five years since she had talked to anyone from Evo, except her roommate Salem. So she decided to find her old friends.
She had found Zee in server called Mincrack. With his weird server-admin-technology powers, they were able to find all their friends.
Muka was in a sever called 2b2t. Tomohawk was living in the hub area. Taurtis had been in a sever called YHS with a friend. Grian was in YHS for a short time, then moved to a server called Hermitcraft. His sister, Pearl, later joined too. Martyn, Jimmy, and BigB had been in contact with the siblings and had lived in many worlds together. Now, Martyn and BigB were living together in the hub while Jimmy was in a new server called Empires.
The whole Evo team got back together. They spent lots of hours reconnecting. It was fun times. They had told stories of new friends, some building projects, some battles they had been in, and many more.
Netty was happy they all had new lives, but she couldn't help but feel left out.
She hadn't made any new friends. She hadn't been in any sever for over three years! She never was in any wars or battles. She wasn't the best at building, redstone and code was incomprehensible to her, and she was very shy.
Salem had been kind enough to live with her. Netty didn't know what she do without her. Probably go insane with the lack of human interaction.
One day, a day like any other, she decided to do something. Something so not her that when she told Salem, she had no words to say. After of course laughing hysterical for thirty minutes straight.
She was going to host a girl's sleepover. With people. Not only for her friends, she only knew one other girl, but for people she had never met!
With the help of Salem and Pearl, and some others, she sent out the invites.
Salem was able to get some invites to her cousin. Another Demon know as BadboyHalo. She had asked him to ask some friends of his over. She also knew another Demon, apparently all Demons had some type of club, called Minx. Salem had only met her at one of these meetings.
Next was Pearl. She invited all her hermitcraft and Empires friends, the females at least. She also got Scott, a good friend of hers, to ask if he could contact two girls from an old server called Afterlife.
At some point, she had found out that Muka had an older sister. She asked him if he could invite her, which he gladly agreed.
The next part was the hardest one. Getting everything ready. For people she had never met nor knew anything about.
This was going to be fun.
After weeks of prep, gallons of Coffee, and asking about the different people wherever she could find info, she was ready.
Or, at least the party was ready.
Her mental state had very much deteriorated, and her anxiety was keeping her up late at nights. At one point, Salem had poison her food with a sleeping potion to get her some rest.
Netty wasn't mad, it's not like it was the first time, but it didn't stop her anxious thoughts.
It was a nice sunny afternoon. The birds were singing, the sky was cloudless, and the inhabitants of a particular house were enjoying some good old salad.
Netty was. Salem had burnt hers the moment Netty looked away.
A soft Knock came from the door. It was so quiet someone could mistake it for the wind, but Netty's cat ears could hear a pin drop from a house away.
She rushed out the kitchen, leaving a bewildered Salem behind.
She checked her appearance before opening the door.
She had her short curly lilac hair down. She was wearing her best purple turtleneck with a white skirt that went down to her knees. Her light purple and white cat ears and bushy tail were groomed to perfection.
After a quick breathing exercise, she opened the door.
She had to take a second take after looking at the people on her porch.
The one leading was short girl with pink hair and blue eyes. She was wearing a grey and white sweater with brown boots. There appeared to be gills on her neck and pink scales along her face and arms.
She was holding hands with a slightly taller woman on her left. She had long straight white hair that turned into curls at the bottom. Her eyes were a beautiful bright gold. She had two horns poking out of her hair, over sheep like ears. She had a red coat with gold embroidery. A sheathed sword sat on her hip.
On the pinkhaird girls right, was another girl. This one had red flowers in her curly chestnut hair, and along her pink sweater and short red flannel skirt. Here leaf green eyes matched her tan skin. Netty noticed two pairs of big pink dragonfly wings on her back.
The tall one spoke first. "Is this the address of Netty Lella? We were invited for a sleepover."
Netty immediately replied, "Yes! And I hope your all ready to have a fun time, now come on in." She stepped aside, letting the girls In.
Netty led them into the large living room. The pink haired woman sat on the couch closest to the window. The winged one sat on her right, the horned one sat on her other side, still I interlocking her hand with the other.
Netty sat herself on one of the armchairs. They all sat in quietness for a long time, too afraid to speak. The silence was becoming dealing, Netty was about to break it when another knock came from the door.
She got up to go answer, but the brown haired girl stopped her.
"Wait."
Netty glanced over her shoulder to the people on the couch. The brown haird on spoke again. "Those might be our other friends, they weren't axactulay invited, but we didn't want to leave them behind. Is it okay if they stay?" All the girls looked slightly guilty, even the white haird one. She had mostly a blank face up until now.
She gave them a warm smile, "Of course, the more the merrier!" Netty couldn't say no. She was too nice. She liked being very sweet to her friends. Salem had remarked once she was too kind for her own good.
She opened the door to see three new people.
One had short dirty blond hair with grey blue eyes and wore a black mask. She had a dark sweatshirt with a red skirt and leggings. She was more in the back, she seemed uncomfortable.
There was a brown eyed girl in the front. She had a bright smile. Netty noticed her white cat ears on her long brown hair. It looked almost silk like. She had a short purple dress over a white blouse. Her white stockings matched her purple boots very well. Behind her were two more girls.
One had bunny ears under a red beanie. She had straight chocolate hair, a white and blue stripe shirt with jean shorts and brown combat boots.
"Hello," the cat girl cheerfully started, "we are friends with some of the people invited, is it okay if we stay?" She had a high pitched voice. Her twitching cat ears betrayed her calm demeanor.
"Of course, come right in." Netty gave them what she hoped was a encouraging smile and walked them to the living room.
The girls from before seemed to brighten up at the new comers.
The one with cat ears sat by the winged one. The dirty blond haired woman sat by the white haired woman. The girl with the red beanie sat on the ground.
Netty was going to tell them they could sit on one of the other couches, but all of them looked like they would run at the slightest sound.
So, she sat back down on her chair.
They were like that for an uncomfortable amount of time. No one was brave enough to start a conversation.
The silence was broken by a certain red eyed woman.
"Is anyone going to fucking say something, or are you all gonna gonna scared little bitches."
All eyes landed on the girl leaning on the doorframe. The new girls looked surprised, some looked frightened.
"Salem! Language. And don't be rude," Netty kindly reprimanded.
Her only reaction was a snort and eye roll. "Someone needed to do something. The quietness was fucking suffering."
Netty was about to reply, but the white haired woman interrupted, "It's okay. She is kinda right. Someone needed to start a conversation." She seemed more relaxed, but also tired, almost like a mother who had too many children, and trying to keep them from burning a house down, again.
"See she agrees with me," Salem snickered.
Netty didn't have it in her to argue against her best friend. She sighed in defeat.
"So," Salem started, looking more pleased with herself, "how about we all say our name and what we are. Netty will start and I'll finish."
No one looked like they were going to argue, so Netty took that as a cue to start.
"Hello, my name is Netty, as you probably already know, and I'm a purple pursain cat Hybrid. Yes, my tail and ears are naturally purple and white."
The others looked a little astonished that her cat features were naturally that color.
To the right of Netty were the girls with the light blue stripes shirt and dark grey sweatshirt.
The one wearing the shirt started, "My name is Aimsey. I am a bunny hybrid and British."
"Hi, I'm Alyssa. I'm human, as far as I know." the masked girl said quietly.
It went like that for the next few females.
The white haired girl was Puffy, a sheep hybrid, the pink haired girl was Niki, a mere hybrid, the winged one was Hannah, a pixie, and the last one, the one with the purple dress, was Tina, a Siamese cat hybrid. Apparently, she only had ears, no tail. Netty wasn't surprised, she had heard of hybrids lacking some of their original creature traits.
The room was once again sent into silence. All eyes turned to the red-eyed woman.
"I'm Salem, as you know, and one there is one thing you should know, about me," she gave everyone a hardend glare, some reeled back in fright, Puffy shot her one too, "don't call me cute. Or sweat. Or anything remotely girly, you got that." She spat the last words out, Vermont leaking from every silible.
Netty gave her the look. Salem rolled her eyes. The two continued to have a silent conversation, until Netty eventually broke it.
"Okay, I promise Salem doesn't mean to be rude-"
"Yes I do."
"She just is a specific hybrid which usually has anger problems. Trust me." She made sure she looked peaceful to their visitors, but inside, she was crawling with doubts.
Do they hate us? Will they leave? What did I do wrong? Oh please, if there are any watchers, save me.
Their was a sudden knock at the door.
"We promise we didn't invite anyone else," Hannah said cautiously.
"Oh, don't worry, I invited many others," Netty casual replied.
Puffy looked at her skeptically. "How many did you invite exactly?"
Netty was already heading to the door before she could finish.
Netty opened the door to see a black haired woman with pelurple hair highlights. She had two small black horns poking from the side of her head. Two bat-like black wings and a tail with a spade tip at the end was behind her. She was wearing a shoulder less purple top with ripped black leggings and purple and black sneakers.
Netty looked into her dark purple eyes. She couldn't tell if she looked bored or angry. She hoped neither.
"So," Netty started sheepishly, the girl looked very frightening, "you must be the Demoness Minx."
The girl in question just nodded. Netty took that as an opportunity to let her in. Minx gave her bad vibes, she really didn't want to talk with her more than needed, but she did know Salem. She had to be kind, no matter what.
She followed Minx to the living room. She had expected the others to be anxious or secluded. She was wrong
When they walked into the room, all the new girls gaped at Minx.
"Minx?" Puffy, Niki, and Hannah all shouted at once.
Minx shared the confusion on their faces.
"Minx," Salem started, aslo shocked, "you know them?"
Minx looked at Salem, then to the girls, then to Netty, and finally back at the girls.
She slowly nodded her head, too shocked to speak.
The room shifted into that stiff quietness again. Everyone too shocked and confused to say anything. Netty finally broke the silence.
"Well, I guess it's a small world," she chuckled nervously. No one laughed.
Eventually Salem led Minx to an arm rest chair that was on the right of the sofe the girls sat on.
Instead of the room returning to it's anxious silence, the girls and Minx started talking. Even Salem sat down and chatted a bit.
Netty was happy that everyone was getting along. Maybe this wasn't a fail. Maybe she could actually do something to help people. Maybe she wasn't worthless.
She was conflicted inside, but she gave bright smiles and soft, caring looks.
Nothing could stop her, nothing at all!
Except mabey having to talk and introduce over ten more female.
Fun.
