Summary
Izuku pulled his knees tighter, rocking back and forwards lightly, hoping to keep his spine from becoming stiff. He needed to be ready to bolt - needed to be alert. If they tried to take him like they took the girl, then he had to be ready to fight back.
"Him! Take him! He's the Quirkless one!"
The hand rubbing his back tightened across his body, pulling him into a hug, a chin on his head. "I know, You will. I'm not going to let anything happen to you." Izuku forgot about the last promise, choking on a sob, not daring to open his eyes.
Izuku had killed her. Izuku was going to kill everyone. Izuku was going to die.
OR: When Izuku wakes up locked in a cell with eight other people, he is unsure of where or why. No one knows where or why. And in a situation like that, people show their worst. Will he survive? Or will the Kind Man let him be another victim?
Shouta knows he has to do something, there had to be a reason they are all there. But more importantly, he has to make sure the kid survives - even if it kills him.
