Blossomverse: The Chloe Respite Car

Summary:

When Chloe Cerise heard about a car made for her, she was excited.

Then she entered it and saw her alternate selves.

Collab with Crossoverpairinglover.

Work Text:

So first off, I (Cross) am happy to say that this is based off of Interdimensional Milkshake Bar . Yes, while I do tend to write some unusual and off beat takes on the concept of the Blossomverse, I am also quite capable of just going ‘hey, I like this idea and feel like doing it my own way’. Not like me and Exotos don’t have a lot of thoughts on the matter of Chloe, several of which are different from the other.

Exotos: When you base a story on a character who had little personality at the time, and then have to try various ways to make them likable/tolerable after the first one, It's inevitable.

Cross: The base Chloe can work. You just need to slice off the bad parts. Of which shall be full display today. Anyway, enjoy all of my thoughts. They may be a lot of them, because a base idea is just that, a base. And bases must be built up.

As Chloe and Lexi approached the exit to the car, the first sound that came out of their mouths was a breath. A breath of ‘oh my fucking god that car was the worst’.

The second was to say that aloud, because it really was. The third sound was a complaint.

“You know, you can put me down.” Atticus, noble king of Corginia, muttered from Chloe’s arms which she was using to keep him off his feet by carrying him.

“Your paw is sprained.” She reminded him, not reminding him that he was lucky it was just sprained and not broken or cut off.

“Yes, and I can still walk.” He insisted.

“You mean limp.” Lexi corrected.

“Walk.”

“Limp.”

“Walk.”

“Limp.”

Chloe coughed to interrupt them before this got into a big argument.

“Walk or limp, we need to plan for the next car. Is there any way we can see what’s coming next?”

Ideally maybe One-One would know, but was it worth calling him to try and find out? And how would they call him up, or know if it was even the right thing…

“Oh hey, a video call terminal.” Lexi pointed out such a spot right beside the exit. Well, if it showed up, we might as well use it. It was a bit more of a sign than just using her cell phone on a whim or something like that.

A large selection of ones entered later, and a call with their favorite spherical robot had started, giving the robot an update about their progress and their concerns about Atticus’s foot and what would come next. Despite One-One’s lack of a face, she could tell she had given him an idea.

“Oh, you need a place to let your companion rest? I’ve got just the idea!” Even before he said he had such a thing aloud.

“You are lucky you called. The next car was the Indescribable Horrors Car. It’s not the place you want to be injured.” Sad-One informed them as the sound of a moving train car, the loud clanging of a deliberate direction aboard the car whose order was measureless and without logic. “ We do have a car you can go to recuperate, sending your way now. You are welcome.”

“Okay so…where are we going? It better not be the Sweet Succubus Car.” Atticus worried.

“Why? I’ve never heard a bad thing about that place.” Lexi questioned, and Chloe felt the desire to elbow Lexi harshly for some reason.

“Oh, it’s a nice place. On the way back from my time with Tulip I stopped there for some ice cream and quite enjoyed a performance of ‘Rule Thirty-Four : The Musical’ . However it is not the ideal place for the young.” Atticus idly recalled the memory with some fondness but firm on the point about age inappropriateness.

Oh no. Not at all. Actually, it’s the Chloe Respite Car. It’s quite nice.”

“The Chloe Respite…I have my own car?” Chloe asked, a massive smile forming on her face. An entire car named after all, just for her. Oh man, that was what she was talking about! Vermillion City, take notes.

Don’t get too excited, it’s been a thing for a while.”

“It…has?” Chloe questioned. Like, she was still excited to see someone finally get that stuff that she wanted was great. Honestly if Vermillion City knew how to do it, she wouldn’t have had to have Yamper tackle Gengar or throw that curry at Goh’s face. But…a while? How did she get a car just from her first stop, maybe her second? One-One couldn’t see the future, could he?

“Can you see the future or something?” Lexi was thinking the same thing she was.

Of course not. If I could, Amelia would be dead.”

Atticus whimpered at Sad-One’s tone.

"So back on topic," Chloe blurted. "This Car has been here for a while? What does that mean?"

The Multiverse repeats itself a lot. There are many Chloe Cerises on the Infinity Train. You’re only sort of special.”

“But you are the one fighting the Apex. So that in a way makes you special. The others have their own quests that make them special.”

"So not a single one of them is also fighting The Apex too?" Chloe asked the non deep and forbidden question that was raised. The mind fuck the deeper question was could come later.

Correct. Some of them certainly have encountered the Apex once or twice, but dedication to their eradication is your prerogative.”

The one stalked by the French heiress did throw a splinter faction to the wheels though. Some stragglers started their own, and are now dead. Tragic.”

“French?” Chloe questioned the unknown word, even as she had to digest the killing part. Killing the bad guys…was that really her?

“Well, we won't accomplish more until we go inside.” Lexi decided for them to get going.

Have fun!”

Remember , legally speaking killing your alternate self is murder, not suicide.”

The Chloe Respite Car was a pretty nice place. By that she meant that it had everything she could possibly want in it.

A chocolate fountain, dozens of non-Pokemon unicorns wandering around alongside hellhounds, Spectre trees, books about demons and cooking and writing, oh my!

And best of all, there wasn't a single sighting of the people who had hurt her to her breaking point.

No Professor Cerise. No Goh Fujihachi. No Sara Dyktalis. No Yeardley Lobellia.

No Ash "Black Hole" Ketchum. Just perfect.

The only thing that was odd about it, was that there were other Chloes here. Probably a dozen of them, maybe approaching two dozen.

There were Chloe’s that looked to be ten, others fifteen, a few in between or older. They were in white, in blue, in red, in black. They had long hair, short hair, blue hair, red hair. Some of them had companions with them, and others were seemingly alone. The ones that were alone all had some sort of injury: a bandaged eye, a bandaged hand, a cast-bound foot. Some of the ones with partners also had such injuries, or it was visible in their companions as was the case with Atticus. Their attentions, be they alternate Chloe or companions, all came on the three of them as they entered.

"Hey there!"

"We got a new one!"

"Always a pleasure to meet a fellow Chloe!"

"Would you like to join the Vermillion Citadel?"

These and more greetings came as Chloe and her group eventually separated from the greeting Chloes, allowing them some breathing space.

“Oh hey, another one. Tell me, you have  a casualty list already at home, or has that not happened yet and you've only left burned faces and broken spirits in your wake so far?” One of the older Chloe’s who had not said hello yet spoke up, projecting her voice to be heard. The other Chloes all had expressions of ‘oh damn, her’ about the words.

“Um, excuse me?” Chloe questioned. The heck was that supposed to mean?

“Oh, just ignore Slut Chloe, trust me it makes everything easier.” One of the Chloes with blue hair advised. Chloe’s eyebrow rose on its own at the name.

“Um….did you just call her a slut?”

A few Chloes parted, letting Chloe see a Chloe she hadn’t noticed yet.

The Chloe was one of the older ones, probably being closer to eighteen than fifteen. While she had long hair, her clothing wasn’t a school uniform or something from the Infinity Train based around an interest of hers. Instead the outfit was a shirt that had the Pokemon League and World Coronation Series symbols on it, unironically, a belt with Pokeballs on it, a bracelet of some sort of technological purpose on her non-numbered arm, and a pair of shorts that looked like something a trainer would wear with orange rose patterns on the hems, with the single visible foot having a pink sock and black sneaker.

Two other things that stood out to Chloe pretty quickly were the large cast on her other leg, which had a few signatures on it including from a ‘Lita’ with a heart next to it and a ‘Sierra’ with a flower for an ‘a’, and the number that was on her hand. It wasn’t green, but gold, and instead of any numbers it said Visitor

Said Chloe waved to her to get attention with a slightly irrelevant air.

“Oh they do, they also call me Slut Chloe. See, with so many of us around we need something extra in our names to keep straight. Now I wanted to be called ‘Not Morally Reprehensible Chloe’ or ‘Clean Chloe’, or ‘My Hands Are Not Covered in Blood Chloe’, or something like that, but they just kept calling me Slut Chloe. Eh, whatever. Doesn’t change the fact I’m still right about everything.”

The other Chloe’s expressions suggested they greatly disagreed with that assessment.

“...Why not just call her…’something else’ Chloe?” Atticus questioned, not liking the language used.

“...You don’t want to know.” Another Chloe warned.

“We wanted to call her Bitch Chloe, but another Chloe already got that title before she showed up.” The blue-haired Chloe winced, as if not fond of whoever Bitch Chloe was. “Until we have a proper name, we can call you Newbie Chloe.”

“Sure.” Chloe agreed. She would not try to call herself that in her thoughts though.

“Let’s just ignore Slut Chloe ( You try, but never succeed ) and introduce the rest of ourselves, plus all of the cool stuff we have here.” One Chloe, a teenage aged one, spoke up before gesturing to a large monitor that took up an entire wall like a really large television. “Like this. It’s a mental monitor that works on all of our mental frequencies. So if anything ever comes up in a backstory you have trouble putting into words, you get a picture that’s worth a thousand words.”

Chloe idly raised an eyebrow, wondering how that worked, when the monitor shimmered to show her beating Sara with a paint can.

“Ah, that’s useful.” Chloe agreed. “So um…”

The Chloe she was talking to, one who looked on the older side, put her hand on her chest, even as her expression went to that of an old agony.

“They call me Gameshow Chloe…because I had to endure the most excruciating thing ever. I had to watch Ash and Goh compete on a game show where they competed in challenges others gave them for charity. I couldn’t escape the Satellite of Home Car for an entire day and was forced to watch those two be adored by everyone around the world, win prizes doing what they love , and look like they are doing something for me.”

The monitor flashed, showing a final tally for both of them. It was filled with congratulations, adulations about things they clearly did on international television. Battles, adventures, free food…everything that just got thrown at Ash and Goh. The only negative she could see on the screen was ‘CHLOE CERISE: NOT FOUND’ as the one listed failing beneath a list of achievements and accolades for the both of them that made her blood boil just thinking about. And those weren’t even her Goh and Ash.

“Not like they know you’re in another dimension or anything you could have just texted them about, and hey, that looks like they raised a lot of money for charity and saved others from terrible fates.” Slut Chloe chimed in. Atticus wiggled in her arms as he looked over the screen, his gaze particularly on a list of people that Gameshow’s Ash and Goh had saved in twenty-four hours and from various gruesome fates. “But nah, that’s nothing. What’s millions raised for charity trying to find you if they don’t find you? Everyone else is nothing, am I right?”

Gameshow Chloe glowered at Slut Chloe, who was probably smirking. Chloe’s eyes were still on the image of Ash and Goh smiling. That sight angered her.

“I do have to concur with…I wish there was a nicer name for her, but her point is sound.” Atticus mused.

Chloe frowned at that. Her gut said that it didn’t matter. They didn't find Gameshow Chloe, so what was all of that in the end but a way to be their awesome, societally accepted selves while feigning sorrow for her. Yet her brain…couldn’t ignore Atticus on this one. So she just deflected.

“I wish I felt some of that kindness.”

“Then consider it, perhaps, them trying to make up for their error in the best way they can.”

Lexi didn’t say anything, but he looked to not be on the side of Atticus or Slut Chloe on this.

The tables flashed as food suddenly appeared alongside pitchers of various drinks. Chloe could see frozen dishes, cooked dishes, cold drinks, hot drinks, plates too. Some stuff even appeared for those away from the table, as Slut Chloe got herself a pitcher and food plate too at her solo spot, and the chair she was in morphed into a wheelchair.

“...Oh great, she’s mobile.” Complained one of the Chloes.

“Would you rather I shout?” Slut Chloe quipped as she wheeled over.

“...I’d rather that you just heal that leg and go away.” Complained Game Show Chloe.

“Sorry, I don’t have super healing powers. Leg heals as fast as your legs do.”

A Chloe on crutches blushed, before she decided to introduce herself next.

“I’m Blue Chloe.” A Chloe with blue hair, dyed from what Chloe could tell, introduced herself next. “I’m…pretty much like you, I just had to dye my hair.”

“Oh, you had to?” Lexi was curious as to why.

Blue Chloe quickly explained her backstory, ending with a rather dry remark:

“...Not really a lot different from yours. Ran into a lot of the same stuff before the Infinity Train and nothing really off the beaten track happened with me. Different cars and different companions, Bombbat’s taking a nap right now, but the haircut’s the main different thing, well except the crutches but those heal and there are others with them around here.”

“Yep, makes it easier to keep track of all the ways you guys screw others over when you are all the same.” Slut Chloe added.

The Chloes shot a glare at Slut Chloe, prompting the Red Lotus Trio to turn to another Chloe, this one sporting a heart-shaped flower on her head.

“I’m Bloombolt Chloe. I’m called that because…well….” the Chloe blushed a little, while also looking a bit bamboozled. “Why is it called Bloombolt?”

“Don’t ask me, the Shipnames Car called it that.” Blue Chloe didn’t get where the name came from either, even as she had an expression of ‘do not ship’.

“Ship?” Atticus asked for clarification.

“Ships are what you call pairing two people together, generally fictional. Characters tend to be given ship names that are either portmanteau of the two characters' names. As an example, if you ship Luz Noceda and Amity Blight, you call it Lumity.”

“Best ship in the show, don’t at me.” Slut Chloe chimed in. Chloe didn’t necessarily disagree. Honestly the official ships of the show in general did not bother her and she had no complaints. Of course the first season really only had Luz and Amity teased intentionally, so maybe the second season would expand on the list and she may or may not have to revise that statement.

“...Damn two stole my thunder. They and Marcy can go burn.” Muttered an unnamed Chloe, and while Chloe filed away ‘there is a Luz, Amity, and Marcy (Wu?) on the Infinity Train, and wait, they are not just fictional!?’ for later, she had another description to give.

“You can also call a ship by a fandom name. For example Bumbleby, spelled with a Y, is the ship for Yang Xiao Long and Blake Belladona. So, what’s Bloombolt?”

Chloe took a sip of a juice whose fruit of origin she didn’t recognize as she waited for the answer.

“It means that…well….I’m in love with Ash.”

And out went the juice whose fruit of origin she didn’t recognize, right into another Chloe whose name she didn’t have. What!?

“Why does everyone react like that?” Bloombolt Chloe questioned, looking off to the side in a manner, Chloe had to admit, was way too close to how she reacted when people made fun of her interests back home.

“Because it’s weird.” Emphasized one Chloe wearing a mask that almost looked like something from the Phantom Thieves.

“Because it’s not what we do.” Added a second Chloe who had that woman mohawk hair style.

" Nooooo…" Grumbled gah Zombie Chloe! She didn't want to know her backstory! She wasn’t going to look at the monitor briefly flashing with a…dang it she saw something! A fist and hand glowing pink ripping and tearing and punching…was that how she died? No, no thinking about it, think about the bad romance instead!

“Because to them when Ash treats us like he does everyone else, I.E he’s nice to them and wants to have adventures together, he’s actually abusing and hurting them.” Slut Chloe sounded like she agreed with Bloombolt on how this reaction was unfair. “Seriously, can’t you guys be annoyed with him for a legitimate reason? My Ash eats my snacks if I don’t hide them and didn’t know Yu-Gi-Oh has had multiple series, and I have no problem with him beyond where I’d otherwise felt like being a complete Tsundere.”

Also…why does this feel like one of those chains of abuse things’ Chloe didn’t mention aloud, distressed by the fact she couldn’t quite shake the idea. Also tsundere…

“Hey, stop feeling distressed.” A ragged looking Chloe, who looked like a runaway more than any other Chloe here, snapped, driving the tsundere connection out of her mind before it could fully connect with something. Did that Chloe just read her mind?!

“Feelings actually.” Clarified Slut Chloe about the other Chloe. “Anyway, you all want to continue to do the hypocritical thing with Bloombolt?”

“We’re not being hypocrites!”

“A black hole is a monster in a cosmic sense. Black hole lover, monster lover, rawst berry rowap berry.”

“Don’t call him that.” Bloombolt quickly defended.

“Trust me, I don’t see him that way either. Sure, it took me a while to get used to how friendly he was, but that hardly makes him an attention black hole. A food black hole maybe, but unlike a cosmic gravity well he actually replaces my snacks after he eats them.” Slut Chloe sounded fully on Bloombolt’s side. “So, want to explain to the newbie why you aren’t going around seeing the friendly newcomer as literally satan?”

Bloombolt blushed, but nodded.

“So I know how it starts for all of…er, most of you. Ash shows up one day at Professor Cerise’s lab, generally befriending Goh after some offscreen adventure and quickly becoming everyone’s best buddy but mine.”

Pretty much every Chloe, even Slut Chloe, nodded.

“He’s always going ‘hey Chloe, don’t you want to go out with me and Goh to the jungle to fight the hordes of death’ and I always say no.”

“The hordes of what?” Chloe questioned. That never came up with her. Usually it was about stuff with lost cities, catching Pokemon, and the chain of events that leads, oddly, to a roller derby. Which made her angry at herself, and also them, for her missing out, but hordes of what

“Death. Goh can’t go back there for any of the Mew Lore they might still have he might have missed or his fiance will eat him.” Slut Chloe shrugged, “She’s very pretty, quite the woman in fact, but he just isn’t into carnage enough for the two to have ever worked out in the long term.” Um…. what?

“And at first, like a lot of you guys, I found that really annoying.” Bloombolt admitted, no one elaborating on either those hordes of death guys or Goh’s fiance, not even the monitor giving an image. “But you know…after a while you realize that it isn’t him being a jerk or anything like that. He genuinely wants to hang out with you, no matter who you are. You start to like knowing that there is someone who wants to talk to you every day."

Bloombolt Chloe sighed and put a hand on her cheek. "So, one day, after telling Goh to stop hogging Ash to himself, I took up the courage to ask him if he wanted to hang out with me. He said yes, and our date afterwards…"

Bloombolt Chloe moaned and giggled as she blushed, the monitor showing the two at a restaurant and eating together.

“It was so nice, some one on one attention. I honestly feel like an idiot for just never suggesting something else when he offered. He was always so great…and then Goh had to ruin it! Urg, I hate Goh so much! Honestly I’m was still trying to get Parker to like Ash, and I hope that doesn’t become a problem… ”

The monitor was now showing Parker looking rather huffy, despite Bloombolt’s attempt to try to talk him into something, which Chloe guessed was Ash.

So while this Chloe loved Ash, she in turn hated Goh even more so it balanced out. Sort of. Also what sort of problem? Bloombolt sounded like she had an idea of what a 'problem' would look like but Chloe had squat. Though it looked like that ship was sailing off, to the other thing then.

“Okay so, now that um… that… is explained….can I have some details on Luz, Amity, and Marcy, I’m guessing Wu, running around the Infinity Train too?” Chloe wouldn’t mind leaving the topic of her finding Ash attractive in other universes far, far behind and focus on some of her favorite fictional characters not being fictional if that was how this conversation was going, and it did in fact go that way.

“I knew that my goal as a hero on the Infinity Train was to defeat this cult called Elipzo the moment I first learned of them. That’s the way of the Chloes of the Vermillion. So I set out on a quest to defeat their agents across the various cars, as well as a version of Sara traveling with this giant wasp guy named Waspinator.” The Chloe yet to be given a title began to weave her tale.

“Sara’s one of your bullies?” Lexi questioned for clarification.

“Yes.” Blue Chloe muttered.

“Seemingly in every universe.” Game Show Chloe grumbled.

“Eh, sometimes she’s better. Met a Chloe before I broke my leg who is dating her version of Sara.” Slut Chloe recalled, sounding like she only found that idea sort of weird and not, like, utterly and completely wrong. “ Both were on their own quest, wonder if they’ll show up here.”

“Let’s hope not.” Blue Chloe spoke for all of them on that one.

Anyway, we were taking a break in this car with canals of fondue when there was a news report where the main Elipzo base was destroyed and all of its members taken out or defeated. No mention of the cells me and my companions beat, it was all gushing about those three.”

The monitor brought up an image of that news report, Infininews reporting and interviewing the three while news beats ran on the bottom ( Cat Stocks on the Rise. Miller Knight attacks Hobo Car: Casualties Minimal, Miller Knight Unhinged. Seventh White Rabbit Murdered in Single Month…) . And indeed it was a trio of Chloe’s favorite animated characters from recent times, whose seasons 2 and 3 she was probably going to miss while on the Infinity Train. She wasn’t sure if she was getting any spoilers though, as they had a few details that felt rather…unlikely.

For one thing, floating around Amity and Luz were what looked like Kwami: around Amity was a Kwami that looked like a Stantler or Sawsbuck while Luz had one that, naturally, resembled a Oshawott. Both of them, and Marcy, were also dressed in orange shirts with a black pegasus on them and jeans, a shirt that Chloe knew to be an iconic outfit from a book series she hadn’t read yet. Honestly seeing that made Chloe wonder ‘okay, did they get those here, or did they come from a world where Amphibia, Noctowl House, Miraculous Ledyba, and that book series with the demigods all shared a world’.

Also did that mean there were universes where, say, she shared a world with something like Castlevania or Ace Attorney? Did that Chloe with the mask come from a world that was like Persona 5. Dang it, that would have been so cool!

Also what did that mean about the other details. Would Amity dye her hair a light purple and a witch staff with a white feline palismen? Would Luz get a sword and her own pair of winged sneakers with angel wings instead of bat ones? Would Marcy get glowing green calamity gem super saiyan powers like Anne? All of them also had golden VISITOR on their hands instead of green numbers.

“That image gives me a lot of questions.” Chloe understated. She had no idea how to split the relevant ones from the spoiler ones.

“Elipzo is a multiverse spanning cult. We actually had some problems with them back home when they tried to grab a boy named Reeve Poppy. They were then immediately wiped out in retribution by his family.” Slut Chloe gave a bit more context. “They are kind of morons.”

“I then raced to wipe out their remaining cells, but not only did those three wipe out more of the remnants than I could, the news was all about them and nothing about what I did. Them them them !” The Chloe’s eyes closed, tears spilling out of her eyes. “It’s not fair! I’m here because I was tired of being ignored for Ash and Goh, and it’s happening here too! Nothing I do is ever enough, someone else always beats me to it and without even knowing they are doing it! Like if Ash, Goh, or those three knew and rubbed it in, at least that says they know they are hurting me! They don’t even know they are stealing from me, and that is so much worse! The Double Champion Frontier Brain World Coronation Rising Star Savior Of The World and Universes and the Determined Chaser of Mew And Pokedex Completionist Rising Exponentially In Everything-”

The Chloe paused to take a few heavy breaths. “Sorry… need to catch… my breath… that was a very long title to say in one sitting!”

“We know,” Lexi said. “Take your time.”

The Chloe took a couple more breaths, then dusted herself before resuming:

“Anyway, they didn’t know they were stealing my family from me, the Vivacious Vertical Vidra and the Cunning Countess Cierva and Marcy  ‘I don’t have a superhero name but I am calling myself the daughter of Athena for some reason and quoting Dragon Ball Z a ton’ Wu stole my quest right from under my feet, and they did it without knowing they were hurting me! Why can’t they at least know what they are doing to me if they aren’t going to stop!?”

“I suggest you go talk to another Chloe,” Slut Chloe whispered to Chloe the newbie. “This one’s going to be ranting for a while.”

“They aren’t even supposed to be here. They came to the Infinity Train just to steal my quest, not because they have any problems to sort out. Seriously somehow they are just wandering around because they want to, not because the Infinity Train chose them. It chose us, it didn’t choose them. You know if Ash showed up he’d have golden letters too. He’d just be off adventuring and being the most awesome person ever, again, like he always is, and everyone will love and adore him. ‘Oh what’s that golden lettering about’? Everyone will ask about that…”

“Can I even hear another Chloe properly over her?” The newbie Chloe legit wondered, her eyes moving towards Slut Chloe’s different symbol on her hand. It had come up and it was weird.  Slut Chloe smiled.

“Yep, ranty Chloe isn’t wrong. I’m not here because I’m rejecting the fundamental rules of the universe like you all seem to want to, I’m here looking for someone.”

“People can just…come to the Infinity Train?” Chloe wasn’t sure how she felt about it. On the one hand, if Goh showed up with golden letters on his hand and kowtowed to her, she’d feel quite satisfied, same with her father. But on the other hand, they’d be in her space and probably get in her way.

“You are assuming that no one can just travel to other worlds. Why does everyone assume that? The problem is aiming, not the trip itself.” Slut Chloe shrugged, a bowl of cheese balls popping next to a free hand to be tossed into her mouth, her expression suddenly turning more serious after swallowing one.

“Oh yeah, there are also black letters. Those are for prisoners, avoid them at all costs. Especially if they are over six and a half feet tall, have red eyes, and look like they are evil.”

“....water!” The Chloe who’d been ranting demanded in a ragged gasp, preventing Chloe from asking anything about the black letters, as a jug of water appeared next to her which she began to swallow like a Magikarp. So she was probably done now, so it was up for one of the younger Chloe’s to speak up now. So no chance to ask about black letters.

“I’m Koharu Sak-”

“Boiling Chloe.”

The younger Chloe looked annoyed at both being interrupted and given that name. “Why won’t you call me by my actual name? That would be so much easier.”

“This is the Chloe Respite Car, not the Koharu Respite Car. We’ve had this conversation before.”

“....” Boiling Chloe didn’t answer, so Chloe asked her something as an ice breaker.

“So…what’s different about you?”

“Well….” Boiling Chloe looked like she could think of a few things, but none of them wanted to come up. “Well….I had a boyfriend, not Ash, sort of, but it didn’t really work out.”

Her tone leaned into a request to not say more on the topic.

“Not sure who she specifically is talking about, but both were demons.” A Chloe she didn’t have a name for quipped as Boiling Chloe looked like she wanted to throw curry at her.

Anyway, I also traveled to another dimension called Gensokyo to learn why this woman called Yukari Yakumo decided to exterminate my friends, claiming they weren’t true youkai, but yes…they were demons. Yokai, kind of. Surely that’s all that you want to talk about!”

“Wasn’t your number glitching earlier?” Blue Chloe questioned.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Boiling Chloe answered too quickly. "Would any other Koha… Chloe like to speak next?!"

Chloe was sure she heard an unspoken ‘please’ in there. So gold letters, black letters, glitching numbers…what did it all mean?

A Chloe eventually stood up, the main difference with her being her clothing was in shades of yellow and black.

“They call me Bee Chloe, even though I have a proper second name!” the Chloe struck a pose. “For I am Hive Queen! The Miraculous Heroine of the Infinity Train!”

“Oh god, I’m even a chuunibyou in another universe?!” Chloe gasped. Also was this the 'french' one with blood on her hands?

“No! Not a chuuni-whatever, an actual hero!” Bee Chloe reached for her hair and took out and showed a yellow hair ornament thing. “This is the Bee Miraculous, which I found during my initial travels across the Train. There’s a Kwami inside it called Pollen that allows me to transform into a superhero when I say “Pollen, Buzz On!”

There was now a Chloe present in a black and yellow costume, one Chloe was familiar with the base design to well remember, and dread.

Lexi leaned closer to Chloe and whispered. “Okay, so less than a chuuni, it’s more like she’s a lunatic.”

“Worse…she’s the bad Chloe.” Chloe remembered that show. Sara loved it, and she was never without a quote from ‘your animated self’. She was nothing like that spoiled brat!

“Zoe Lee's better.” Slut Chloe added.

“Who?”

As if to take attention away from that topic, a sharp noise invaded the room, cutting off the topic before the mysterious Zoe could be elaborated on.

Slut Chloe’s bracelet was letting out an ear-piercing sound, something between a fire alarm and a gas detector.

“Unknown incursion into this reality from….oh boy. Chloes who don’t have blood on their hands, hide! If you do have blood stained hands…well hope this isn't for you.”

And Slut Chloe immediately pulled out a Pokepals magazine that had Leon on the cover, posing with his gaudy crown, cape, and…a Liepard-themed swimsuit that made Chloe want to scream over how little it covered and held it over her face like she was Makoto stalking someone. Was that supposed to be camouflage?! And from what?!

Lexi immediately disassembled, forming into a paper cocoon that picked her and Atticus up and flew them up into the rafters like a nest. They could see out of it, but no one could make them out. The other Chloes were a mix: some of them were trying to hide, and others were looking confused but not wanting to just blindly follow Slut Chloe’s advice.

The seconds were stressful and took forever, but then reality had a crease form in it, a crease that slowly opened in bolts of green and yellow lightning before a single doorway in reality opened up. A portal of a blueish and white color connecting the Chloe Respite to somewhere. From that somewhere, Chloe could see something approaching. And as the something got nearer, she could hear too. The sound of heavy footsteps, like boots.

Next was the unmistaken sound of police whistles going off in a single assault cacophony.  Then came the mass of men and Jenny in blue, though it wasn’t the Kantonian Uniform. She thought it was the Alolan version, but she wasn’t sure. The cops bar one looked at the visible Chloes like one looking for a specific tree in a stand of them. A few noticed Slut Chloe but the magazine's Leon cover diverted or distracted their eyes.

“Our Chloe’s that one!” A Jenny wearing a visor and with a Gumshoos at her side pointed at one Chloe, who looked terrified as the cops, now all looking her way, moved towards her menacingly.

“Get away from her!” The Chloe who read her mind shouted. An officer looked at her momentarily, before throwing a Pokeball at her, which let out a Butterfree that blasted her with Stun Spore. And then everything exploded.

Chloes and companions charged, and cops sent out Pokeballs or blocked with riot shields and gear. Blasts of fire from Growlithe, blasts of electricity from Magnemite and bites from Snubull quickly, as horrible as it was to admit, overwhelmed her counterparts. The Police had the upper hand.

The targeted Chloe meanwhile was grabbed by the Gumshoos, the girl flailing and trying to get out of its grip as the Jenny, her voice projecting through the car with a mixture of voice training and personal disgust, read off a list.

“One count of Petty Assault on one Goh Forward with curry. Five charges of Manslaughter in the First Degree for the deaths of Sara Diktalis, Yeardley Lobelia, Ryan Pepper, Ren Tagetes and Cryssa Verbena. Ten counts of Manslaughter in the Second Degree for Franklin Borage, Gard Windbreak, Patricia Sakura , Julie Bloomington, Neil Blackman, Maple Sugarson, Akemi Journer, Jenny April, Camille Forward and Walker Forward. Accessory Before The Fact to nine counts of First Degree Assault against Professor Aldrich Cerise, Talia Cerise, Ash Ketchum, Delia Ketchum, Goh Forward, Regina Fjordson, Serena Gabena, Grace Gabena, and Halta Runner. Accessory Before The Fact to three counts of First Degree Assault charges against the Pokemon of the aforementioned Ash Ketchum, Ren Tagetes and Goh Forward. Accessory Before The Fact to three counts of Second Degree Assault against the Pokemon of the aforementioned Serena Gabena, Maple Sugarson, and Regina Fjordson. Accessory before the fact to four counts of First Degree Attempted Murder of Aldrich Cerise, Talia Cerise, Ash Ketchum, and Goh Forward. Chloe Cerise, you are under arrest. Prepare to be returned to our universe for trial, and feel grateful you aren’t liable for the property damage charges too. You might get out for your seventy-fifth birthday without them”

The cops and their Pokemon backed away from the others as this happened, slowly making for the portal with the restrained Chloe trying to escape, but failing. Then the entire group, before the rest of the Chloe’s could recover and attack, summoned the portal again.

And that was all Chloe could remember before a flash happened, with one less Chloe being present once the door vanished and everybody came out of hiding.

“...Okay, who were those guys?” Lexi questioned after reconstituting himself from dome mode, no more need to obscure Chloe from the sudden influx of policemen.

“The police from that Chloe’s universe.” Slut Chloe clarified as the other Chloe’s shook off the skirmish or nursed bruises, some of them looking particularly shell shocked, or like they just saw an ill omen of their own ill fates. Also she could tell this had not been the first time, as there wasn’t the sort of surprise that came from a completely unexpected event coming about.

“Um…. how?” Chloe would ask because no one else seemed to be questioning it. Curse of being a newbie.

“...You can’t be free of Pokemon, no matter what you try.” One of the other Chloe’s, one of the ones that was less dreading of what she had seen as best as she could tell, muttered as Slut Chloe looked like she wanted to spit phlegm at her for that answer.

“How about an actual response!? So you know how in our world people have the technology to travel to other worlds, track energy signals, transport matter, and otherwise achieve amazing feets of science that many other universes we meet here can only consider science fiction?”

“......”

“...We all were born and raised there.” Slut Chloe sounded like she was explaining to people that water was wet. “Now, do you really think that traveling to the Infinity Train on your own accord is so hard to achieve? It’s not impossible. It’s no walk in the park, trust me, but if someone is really motivated and has a vague direction to go in they can and will.”

Slut Chloe gestured to her techno band.

“This device detects dimensional travel energy. A single scientist named Professor Allegro, my girlfriend’s mother by the way, created the prototype on her own to get the funding to mass produce it, with more features, with the help of Alolan science, who deal with inter-dimensional activities quite a lot and can even open their own portals. Even without her work, the Alolans can still aim their portals to return Ultra Beasts to their homes so the Infinity Train isn’t that out of reach for them. Honestly, I'm pretty sure half the reason you guys don’t often run into it is that half the science resources that would go into it are busy looking for another missing person at the time you all end up here.”

“Okay, sure, whatever. People can do that…but why did a version of me just get arrested!?” Chloe questioned as the other Chloe’s either looked like they hated to think about it, or dreaded the answer.

That…what on earth could she have done that warranted cops traveling dimensions to arrest her!? Goh was a pampered little prick, but even she couldn’t say this was because she shoved that curry in his face and he wanted to get back at her. That was in the charges sure, but that almost felt like it was going in chronological order and not severity, that was obvious, and it honestly felt the jaywalking on top of the murder and assault charges. How on earth was a version of her an accomplice to murder?! While the other Chloes were avoiding the topic, there was one who wasn’t. Slut Chloe, whose expression wasn’t quite ‘I’m going to have fun telling you how much you all screwed up’, but it was getting there, was quite willing to fill things in.

“Okay, so I could tell the entire story about what always happens, or you guys can tell it and I can just correct you when you try to downplay something important.”

“...It’s not always the Unown.” The ten-ish year old Boiling Chloe added tersely. The what?

“Yeah, you are the one with the homicidal demon pedophile boyfriend… things and their demon swarm. Still that attempted mass murder of your family and associates was basically just a less extreme version of what usually happens, at least on the city-wide level and was less traumatizing overall. Somehow . Though…please get professional help about the grooming and creepy pedophile shit as soon as possible.” Slut Chloe sounded quite sincere about the last part and um…. ummmmmmm….. ummmmmmmm!?

“...This is going to be an unpleasant conversation.” Atticus gave the understatement of the day, while he also looked like he knew someone who specialized in that sort of therapy.

“Oh yes, it is, but you should know about it so you can try and stop it. The rest of them mostly try to stop it…in their own way.” Slut Chloe sounded like she had problems with it.

“Humph. They kept one person with special powers while I was going to get all of the shit. If Ash can’t stop it, it’s their fault, not mine.” the Chloe who read her feelings like a mind reader would a mind grumbled, sounding like the reason Slut Chloe said ‘mostly’.

“...Don’t talk like that. You only give her ammo.” Gameshow Chloe hissed as Zombie Chloe groaned in…agreement, probably.

“You all do. Okay, time to explain this entire… multiversal plague that happens and has gotten several Chloes dragged back home to be arrested, tried, convicted, and at least one threatened with being banished to the Distortion World, or was it the Reverse World? That world was different and I am curious how it ended.” Slut Chloe looked ready to explain the terrible story, and not what the heck the ‘Distortion World’ was. What, did their reality have its own Phantom Zone and no one ever told her!? And why would people want to throw her into it?!

The monitor showed a new image now, an image that could have been from Chloe’s own memory. Though it could be anyone’s memory, given it was Goh’s face getting slammed with curry.

“So as most of you, and I do repeat most so no gotchas, start the whole chain of events that lead to everyone being worse off like this. You get angry after a battle with Ash you got goaded into, take some well meaning words badly, and assault Goh before running off, but not before throwing emotional fire bombs into your family and associates. This creates an endless array of messes back home that I’m sure I don’t have to reiterate, but I will for full clarity.”

Slut Chloe looked loathed to talk about it.

“Mom was angry at Dad. Dad was angry at himself. Goh and Ash were fighting, Ren and Chryssa, or sometimes Renji and Chryssa, were angry at each other and Professor Cerise. Everyone’s being really mean to Goh, he works himself into a literal ditch, people mock him for being socially underperforming, random people come over to start yelling at everyone for not being mind readers and only realizing they were making it worse until it was way, way too late…”

Some grumpy looking guy with green hair appeared on the monitor, Slut Chloe muttering something about ‘bad romance’ before he vanished just as quickly.

“Of course the worst of them all is always Parker. Where do we even begin? The attitude or the aggression? Anyone have any preferences?”

“...Um….they are usually correlated, so why not both?” Atticus yipped as Slut Chloe nodded.

“Very true. Parker took the entire mess that is ‘you all running away’ as badly as everyone, but he wasn’t just yelling at people. He does that, plenty of verbal abuse, hate, and otherwise acting like he was the only sane person in the entire city. Being the only one who knows about your problems does that to a kid, especially when everyone’s in a mood about it. However, on top of verbally abusing Goh, his parents, and everyone else, he also became aggressive, attacking our classmates and occasionally others, and somehow getting away with it. Usually because Yeardley says something stupid or something….it was almost ‘cute’. Maybe for the five year old Parkers, but the older ones….a screw up that would soon come to have consequences.

“It’s always something at the lab. Sometimes Parker gets angry because some of our classmates are at the lab working in penance and them being there infuriates him. Sometimes he gets angry because it tends to be around the point that the pity party has peaked and everyone is trying to think of things to do other than make themselves and otters miserable. Sometimes he gets angry because some of us think it's a good idea to text him and say that if everyone’s not utterly remorseful that his sister will just run away again. Whatever the reason for making him so angry, he was that angry on the worst possible day for him to have out of control emotions. It was the day that a colleague of our father, one Professor Hale, was having a box shipped filled with dormant Unown.”

“A dormant mystery?” Lexi questioned.

“The Unown are a type of Pokemon, though they stretch the concept a bit. They are strange entities that typically exist outside of our world, but when they gather in large numbers they can have a reality altering effect and tend to be directed by strong emotions. Five Unown around a girl who missed her Cleffa after it died can make an entire town stuck in never-ending night. Parker’s anger woke dozens of them, giving Parker access to power levels that…well frankly I’m happy my Parker never had. To put it in another way, in everyone of your worlds that didn’t replace it with literal demons, Parker is on a one way collision course with vast reality warping powers fueled by his anger and with nothing to restrain his use of them. He can mind control, he can trap people in hellscapes, he can just outright harm, he can create minions, he can basically do anything he can think of. The results are, near always, catastrophic.”

“Cata…castrophic!?” Chloe repeated, a spike of fear going through her veins. It was not the good sort of fear either. The charges levied against that abducted Chloe rang in Chloe’s ears. Murder. Attempted murder. Unspecified property damages

“...Yes, and all limited by Parker’s imagination. A topic we all are surely familiar with.” Slut Chloe noted dryly. Just how many games and mediums did they show Parker that would go badly with that sort of power?

Chloe did the math quickly, and her blood froze in her veins.

“Fortunately, so far no Parker has ever gotten away with it. I’ve seen way too many of these worlds in this car’s memory banks of every Chloe, and he’s never won in a single one of them. You could argue he’s not properly been punished for it in every world, but he gets some sort of punishment and is always defeated, usually with Ash playing a major role. Chloe Reprise Car, play a random selection of Parker defeats.” Slut Chloe instructed.

The following are all artistic recreations and not the legitimate memory of the event.” An electronic voice chimed before the monitor showed scenes, though unlike the previous ones they weren’t photographs. Instead they were drawings, well drawn ones but drawings regardless.

The ones that Chloe saw included, but were not limited to.

One where Ash and a massive group of Pokemon, which she guessed were the ones she thought he mentioned having at Professor Oak’s from past adventures, blasting a giant sphere of Unown.

One where the same group of Pokemon, and Goh and his group, were blasting the same giant sphere of floating letter monsters.

Parker being restrained by some long-bearded old bald man wizard sage guy with some sort of mysticism, while various monsters were being fought off by a blond martial artist, a yelling guy in khakis, a lavender haired girl with an Alakazam, and Ash and his Pokemon while Goh screamed in the background.

Goh punching Parker in the face while various demons were being driven away by Ash, his Pokemon, Ren and Francois, a muscular woman with white hair and a Raichu and her two goons with their own electric Pokemon.

Gard, Julie, and Patricia blowing apart the Unown sphere with a Squirtle, Bulbasaur, and Charmander while Ash and Goh fought an army of monsters led by Parker with their two assortments.

Some sort of demented fusion of her and Parker being kicked in the face by Raboot while Goh rushed Sara away from ‘it’, even as the giant sphere was being hit by a multi-colored electric attack and a giant orange shuriken.

Parker exploding while a white and red Zoroark stared at him shooting out dark energy from its waving hair at him while Ash, her father, a black and white Braviary, and a Liligant that looked more like a ballerina than most Liligant stared in horror.

Parker being blown away by an attack reflected from Team Rocket’s Wobbuffet, the bumbling crooks looking stunned to see Parker being blasted away by their own efforts, even as Meowth looked ready to slash Parker’s face like a cheese shredder. Meanwhile behind them Ash and Goh were hitting a crystal with hammers while their various Pokemon also attacked it, causing Unown to shoot out like a high pressure water leak.

The…well it was a lot to explain. Parker was some sort of demon kaiju, right in the center of Vermillion City and destroying everything like not just a demon kaiju, but a demon kaiju in the midst of a massive superhero crisis event. A ‘massive superhero crisis event’ was a good description too, as all around Vermillion City were giant tears in reality, bleeding red dotted void space. Chloe was not an artist, it was the best way she could describe it. That energy with the dots thing. Meanwhile…oh boy, then things were nuts. Demon Kaiju Parker was fighting the usual Ash and the frequent Goh: Ash was riding Dragonite and having Pikachu, Gengar, and Riolu, evolved into Lucario, blasting at Parker, while Goh was riding Golurk and having the evolved Raboot, Scyther, and Darmanitan do the same. They also had help, but it was not…well…how to put it best…

Parker looked like he was creating a massive superhero crisis event, and as a result the help was not from their world. Parker was also being attacked or hindered by, or had around him helping the citizens, and Chloe hoped she didn’t miss anyone…

Ledyba had her Yo-Yo tied around one of Parker’s massive clawed fingers, Vulpicture and a Grumpig-like heroine were leaping away with scared children in their arms, Vespiqueen was swooping in at him with her top, Ryuko was turning into electricity to presumably attack Parker, a heroine who resembled a Zapdos was striking him with a bolt of lightning, Mankey D. Luffy was punching his ear with fists that were slightly blackened, Sanji was rescuing a Nurse Joy with hearts in his eyes, a horned woman with a black club shouting a war cry as she tried to slam Parker’s collarbone, a girl with red and white hair being flown to Parker’s ear by a guy in the same orange shirt that Amity, Marcy, and Luz were wearing earlier. From one of Parker’s tears in reality came tentacles that were being fought off by a red and yellow Mantine-like thing shooting green lasers, a blue and white robotic teenage girl whose arms were blades, and a white-haired hero in a black suit shooting green lasers from his hands.

On buildings stood several other heroic-looking figures: one a darkly dressed man whose helmet resembled a chess piece atop a building antenna, another a dented and worn dusty robot whose old paint job still showed a flame decal. Around them jumped teenage heroes with hair like broccoli, pink cheeks, and exploding hands, each rescuing citizens. There were others in the picture too, but her mind was too stressed to match or describe them right now.

It was…chaos to put it one way, and her brain was barely comprehending it all.

“That Chloe got arrested last week.” Blue Chloe added a detail, sounding sorry for that specific Chloe. “A pity too, we were having a party for K. Krackle Chloe after she defeated this guy named Opigami. She was horrified to realize what happened because she forgot to charge her phone while dealing with him. She just got it back running, saw this news, freaked out, and five minutes later the cops showed up to arrest her. She…went willingly. Most of the time, we don’t.”

“I mean I can only speak for myself, but when I heard that happened with one Chloe I was horrified. It’s somewhere between horrifying and disgusting that it happens again and again and again and again. The fact it keeps happening to Chloe after Chloe with seemingly no stop with only a few whose fucked up situation is still somehow less of a massive shit show than the rest, just a regular fucked up mess…” Slut Chloe’s expression was that of someone empathetically averse to the idea of anything like that happening in her world. Meanwhile on the topic of Boiling Chloe’s….problems the monitor was showing a bunch of demons that looked like Yu-Gi-Oh characters for some reason, and a creepy guy who she would not want near Parker, or her, or honestly even Goh. It was less nuts than the crisis event, certainly, and a proper memory image and not a drawing.

“Sometimes it also doesn’t involve Parker directly. I met at least one Chloe who instead had a Goh just snap and wanted to be left alone and thus created an anti-human bubble expanding outward. She seemed to struggle to see how she caused that. Also ran into this one Chloe where Sara got catastrophic cosmic power…though her world was a mess. We met in a car where we could see the other's story, just like this one but in a full mind experience, and while she was gawking at the family reunion I went to like it broke her brain, the entire Unown fiasco she had in her world baffled me as much as it horrified me as they all do. Literally, it felt like her universe was bending over backwards so Parker and UnChloe, a nightmarish copy of me Parker tends to create when he has cosmic powers who always makes things worse, could save the day….it was weird and she seemed to think she was resolved of all her other shit and sins as a result. She seemed surprised to see that bit from the future in the same car where Goh’s team and Gengar tell her it doesn’t cleanse her of her sins and she got punched by them all in one big line when she gets back.”

“Punched!?” Chloe exclaimed. For what reason?!

“Yeah, you did a number on their trainer and most of you despise them for their species and their status as more important than your favorite genres. You think they like you? And that’s when you don’t start the chain of events that puts their trainer in a suicide ward in many realities.”

Chloe fell silent. Goh in a suicide ward?!

“You…some of you guys haven’t had anything like that happen yet.” Chloe frantically said, well aware that she was in the same category and with anything from Parker exploding to putting people into a suicide ward in her future. “How do you stop it!?”

“Well….we text Parker and tell him very clearly to not do it…” One of the other Chloe’s suggested, sounding like she really, really hoped that would be enough. “K. Krackle Chloe wasn’t able to, and it went badly. If we do text him…he listens to us, he won’t…”

“The way I heard that story it sounds like it wasn’t planned, but a spontaneous event. A warning may not be enough. You would need to keep him away from the Unown entirely, and that would require others.” Atticus advised, and Chloe did agree that it didn’t sound like Parker decided that one day he woke up and decided to become a violent god. Parker would never do that!  But others…

“I’ve tried texting him but…I’m not sure it's working. I’ve…asked Ash to try not to be around when it goes off. I don’t want him getting hurt.” Bloombolt admitted, sounding like she hated that she couldn’t get Parker to not want to maim Ash. “I don’t think he really knows though.”

“What about the others? Why not text them, perhaps to ” Atticus wondered about texting Goh or her parents. Bloombolt looked like the idea was absurd, and Atticus looked at Bloombolt with great disapproval.

“Yeah, the only person who can stop Parker, without just burying him somewhere, are our parents.” Slut Chloe bluntly said. First… burying him!? Second…

“...Professor Cerise does not have a good track record…” The Chloe who read her ‘emotions’ and looked homeless began.

“... of not reading anyone’s mind? Yeah, he’s not a mind reader. Maybe we should all talk more. But if you actually talk about your problems for once, they won’t end in running away into prison trains or Parkers trying their best to murder people.” Slut Cloe was not in the mood to debate parental responsibility and failures. “Plus, seeing as that entire mess, and its less terrible variants where Goh just wants to be left alone, demons swarm, and Sara has whatever, all comes down to all of you choosing to be spiteful brats and keep your problems to yourselves just to justify acting like pieces of crap to everyone, I think it's clear none of you have the moral high ground to act the way you do, and you only care about the consequences because they cause problems for you for once instead of everyone else!"

With those words spoken, Slut Chloe moved away from the other Chloes, who all glared at her as she left for a door that led into another room, some even muttering death threats or insults, including ‘Pocket Monster Lover’, ‘Whore’ and ‘Fake Chloe’.

One of them even went so far as to say:

"You should've killed yourself on the school's rooftop!"

And that was the last straw.

Without saying anything else, Chloe left the room and followed Slut Chloe to the balcony, accompanied by Lexi and Atticus, who were looking back at the other Chloes in disgust.

The other room had a view over an illuminated fantasy forest, the sky above clad in stars. Slut Chloe was looking over the view as they came up behind her.

“I never had suicidal thoughts.” Slut Chloe clarified.

“That doesn’t matter. They’re all us, they should all know how much that is terrible for us to say. Like I swear…don’t they know what it’s like?”

“Goh’s a lot like us.” Slut Chloe said for a bit of context, and Chloe had to admit…well saying that aloud was a bit hard to swallow. Because if she was socially awkward and didn’t like school, it was hard to explain why Goh wasn’t without the use of a lot of caveats.

“I suppose it must be hard, being the stranger in a car of one person as many.” Atticus mused as Slut Chloe laughed bitterly.

“Oh, if it was only that simple. Thing is, just because I’ve never tried to destroy anyone in a destructive way or considered killing myself doesn’t mean I’m not anything like them. Oh, I went through my spiteful phase. I got annoyed that everyone liked other things than I did. I wished Ash and Goh would leave me alone even as I wished they’d just go up to me and ask me to play a game of Yu-Gi-Oh or something. I’m different enough to not be them, and I’m close enough to them to see just how I could have ended up that way.”

“They’re your reflections, and you are their reflections.” Lexi surmised.

“Yep. I’m their uncanny valley, and they’re mine. We judge each other the same way, the only difference is in what.”

There were two questions Chloe wouldn’t mind answers for. Both were personal…but she’d start with the one that wasn’t…well her name.

“You said something about burying Parker.” Chloe asked her older counterpart, who turned around with a pained smile on her face. Chloe’s tone had been less about ‘do you want to kill Parker’, and more ‘is something wrong?’

“...I thought you’d ask how I was so sure that there would be no Unown attacks in my own world, but I guess that also covers that one. Long story short, I'm not a runaway. Everyone knows why I am gone, what I am doing, and I can come back as soon as I accomplish it. Or well, we do. I’m kind of healing right now, but I trust the other two with my life to get him.”

“Parker.” Chloe guessed as Slut Chloe nodded, her expression grim.

“Yes. My Parker Cerise is on the Infinity Train, and it’s my fault. Though I say fault as a technicality, not an admission of guilt.”

“...” Atticus had an expression that suggested he was remembering Slut Chloe’s statement of not being that different, and Slut Chloe seemed willing to cop to it. Her explanation was for clarification, not justification.

“So being older than most of the Chloes here, that means that everything you’ve all experienced happened to me over a longer period of time. That includes having Parker as my rock, as my main supporter, and introducing him to everything I love and involving him in them. Just like me he always wished I had people who were interested in the things I was in my life, and lamented all those who didn’t. His problems even began to slip through cracks and create trouble, so one school break found him separated from me. He was grounded for an incident at school that…could have easily gotten him expelled, and I was out for a few weeks helping out at Ash’s family reunion. I came back having met people who were interested in what I was, either entirely or just to be my friend.” Slut Chloe sounded like that family reunion could be its entire explanation on its own.

“Um, Ash’s family reunion? You found friends there?” Chloe questioned. Ash’s family was…well Chloe wasn’t sure what she’d find there, but ‘friends’ seemed odd. That just sounded like a bunch of Ashs, and probably an Uncle Grab-em to avoid like the plague.

“Yeah, tons. Ash is friendly after all, and that’s pretty common in his family. I even got myself two girlfriends out of it. They’re the ones looking for Parker while I heal up.”

Two girlfriends!? Like…the way Slut Chloe explained that sounded like she had to be talking about some of Ash’s cousins, but wait…how?! Why!? Context!?

“Those weeks…they did so much for me I can’t even tell you.” Slut Chloe said, sounding like working at a family reunion changed her life and not explaining the detail about girlfriends any further. Explain the detail please! “Eventually I came home, and I was in such a better place. School for one thing became a lot more tolerable. It's so easy to make everyone shut up with two kisses to show that freaks get all of the ass.”

Details!? How did that happen!? What on earth was this about!? This was even weirder than Bloombolt!

“However…even as everyone was happy for me being happy, there was a problem. A problem I noticed and tried to fix, but I didn’t realize it was that bad. Parker wasn’t happy with how things changed. He wasn’t happy that it changed when he wasn’t there. He wasn’t happy when I asked him to be nicer to Ash because he really did a lot for me and we should probably be nicer to him in general. He found that things he wanted, like us having people to go to the movies with or Genga Gengarland, wasn’t as great as he thought they’d be. I had the friends he always wanted me to have, we could do things with other people, but to him…it was just wrong.”

“Wanting is always better than having.” Atticus mused wisely.

“He no longer had your undivided attention.” Lexi guessed as Slut Chloe nodded.

“I tried to work with that, but I didn’t realize just how much everything I did backfired. I thought that finding a way to save so much time on my hair every morning would let us hang up, but he felt replaced. I always made a point to bring him things from trips with them I was now comfortable taking, but it was always that I wasn’t with him. I tried to include him in more, but he refused anything to do with Ash or his half-siblings…”

Chloe choked as Slut Chloe blinked. Ash’s what.

“Oh yeah, Lita and Sierra, my girlfriends, are his half sisters by his douche of a father who is locked on the Infinity Train with black numbers for being evil. My friend group mostly contains Ash siblings and their friends from all over the world. Did I forget to mention that?”

Yes!”

“Oops.” Slut Chloe said oops like that was a minor detail. It wasn’t. “Um yeah, in my reality Ash has thousands of paternal half siblings and I worked to feed them all at their family reunion as a paid vacation. Life’s been so much better since I took that job. I have friends, I got out of my shell, and all without the Infinity Train, though Parker wouldn’t have agreed. Anyway, he wasn’t just upset that me having friends wasn’t what he thought it would be like, he also started spying on me and my new friends when we were doing anything without him. I want to get my nails done with some girls in my room, he’s on the roof spying on us in our pajamas and getting upset because I mentioned I was worried about him getting teased if he ever did my nails. That happened again and again until he made himself known after…well having sex. A very traumatic and terrible shouting match followed where he shouted all sorts of abuse at me, confessed to stalking me, and told me to choose between him and my friends. Naturally I didn’t choose the brother who was basically talking about me like he’s an abusive demon boyfriend and skirting way too close to incest for my sanity and told him how horrible he was being right to his face. Naturally afterwards he attacked me and ran off, giving me a black eye and eventually, after Ash’s father escaped and the stupid cult tried to be a stupid murder cult on one of Ash’s younger brothers we figured out Parker was here, so me, Lita, and Sierra, my girlfriends by the way, went after him. I’m still furious at him, but I don’t want him dead or turning into someone’s problem.”

“You’re worried he might have joined the Apex?” Lexi guessed as Slut Chloe nodded .

“Not necessarily the Apex, but something like that. I was already worried he might do something reckless, and meeting all of these other mes whose Parkers turn into wicked gods has not helped. Of course there is little you can do when your leg is broken on a crazy train but wait for it to heal and get your daily updates from your girlfriends about the search.”

And not being able to do anything about it while hearing a litany of worst case scenarios…Chloe felt like she understood her counterpart better. Though there was the other thing about her to ask, the epithet.

“So…why do they call you Slut Chloe?” Chloe the newbie figured out she might as well hear why from the Ponyta’s mouth. She was the Chloe to ask about it after all, and everything since gave her many nagging questions. It couldn’t just be because she had two girlfriends, though it wasn’t impossible.

Slut Chloe was not like the other Chloes here, but nothing about her seemed to really scream, well, slut. She was a bit of a bitch, she didn’t find the idea of Sara confessing to her, or her having a crush on Ash, horrifying or disturbing, and maybe she could have told Boiling Chloe to get therapy nicer but…how did that warrant such a specifically mean name?

“Well they call me that because I’ve had sex and they don’t like me.” Slut Chloe’s answer was not her avoiding the question, just her snarking about it.

Slut Chloe was a Chloe after all, they liked to snark. Slut Chloe was, by her own admission, not so far removed from the rest of Chloekind. Just enough to make her and the rest of them really get along poorly.

"Sex?" Chloe winced, knowing she walked right into that. "With your…um…girlfriends?"

Girlfriends?! How on earth did that work?

“Well…not quite just them.”

Slut Chloe, smiling, snapped her fingers. If they were still in the main Chloe room the monitor would probably have showed the image, but instead a panoramic view formed around their balcony. They were no longer looking over a fantasy forest at sunset, instead they were amongst sunny and verdant hills that Chloe remembered from her trip to Professor Oak’s with Goh all those years ago. It was a clear area of soft grasses and a gentle breeze, though Chloe could see the ‘edge’ of the photo so she couldn’t just go out and touch anything. As to what she’d touch...

Atticus' eyes bulged and Lexi's jaw dropped so hard it cracked the floor. Her reaction was a gaspy, stunned noise that would fit alongside Mankey D. Luffy doing something crazy.

Well it was a group photo, a memory of the photo that tended to end a family gathering, wedding, or something with a big shot of everyone. This one was no different but for one thing. Scale.

The row of people was massive. The entire field was crossed by the single massive line of humanity, stretching a length that surely extended several stadiums in total length. Chloe would wonder what camera, or cameras, could have captured them. It was a giant line of people, and it was not just a single one. There were layers for height, and if she was guessing Slut Chloe’s height correctly…the vast majority of them were all very tall. A lot of them also had Ash’s hair color and those marks on his face, though there were other hair colors and other common traits that Ash lacked among the sheer mass of them, like way more red eyes than Ash’s own eye color.

Were they really all Ash’s half siblings in Slut Chloe’s universe!? Also the way that the ones who weren’t related, child or mother, made her wonder if Slut Chloe was the only one with multiple partners. Also also…

“You slept with everyone here!?” Chloe was aghast. So was Slut Chloe at the accusation.

“Of course not! Several of those people are way too young for that, not interested in girls, in committed monogamous relationships, or are moms who’d require permission from their kids to sleep with to make it less awkward. I’ve only fucked thirty-seven of them.” Clarified Slut Choe.

"Thirty… Seven…" Chloe repeated. That was a large number, but still…well a lot less than however many there were in that line. Honestly, did they outnumber the Pallet Town residents?!

“Yep. Their father, the guy with the black numbers you should avoid, wanted to fulfill ancient prophecy about changing the face of the world or something and decided the best way to do it was eugenics. Like I said, he’s horrible. Most of his kids aren’t though, and they’re a lot of fun to be around. And yes, even when clothed.”

Slut Chloe spun her chair around to point at the older version of Ash from her reality, who Chloe wondered would ever get that tall. Or look like he could use the Goh she knew as a club.

“Kind of a fun fact, have you ever heard the bit about how all Chloes have quests and Ash has his own crazy history?” Slut Chloe asked.

“From One-One…yes.” Lexi was still staring at the sheer mass of people. His eyes were in particular on a girl standing next to Chloe with a hairstyle and color a lot like his, who looked bifauxnen compared to her many sisters.

“I do believe that one Chloe called him, and I quote, ‘ The Double Champion Frontier Brain World Coronation Rising Star Savior Of The World and Universes’ .” Atticus wasn’t staring at any of the family in particular, but was still rather overwhelmed.

“Well every person here has their own crazy hero stories like that, especially if they are related. Most of them have saved the day at least once. Many of them have histories just like my and Bloombolt’s favorite ‘ Double Champion Frontier Brain World Coronation Rising Star Savior Of The World and Universes ’. Only the youngest and greenest haven’t defeated evil organizations, mad cults, wicked phantoms, or the like yet. Lita and Sierra’s first adventure of that like’s joining me to rescue Parker.” Slut Chloe sounded like she was trying to offer a bit of perspective, a similar trait between dozens of Chloes she met today and the many Ashkin of her universe in a way to help her gain perspective. She was a hero of the Infinity Train, Ash was a hero of the Pokemon World. Chloe of the Vermillion was popular. Alola Champion Ash Ketchum was popular. There was a perspective she could, possibly even should, gain from it.

While Chloe could get it…she had other thoughts.

“How on earth did you not run off screaming in self-pity at not being that?!” Chloe questioned. If each of these people like, kicked Satan’s ass or something, and were as likable as Ash was...

“Because they all wanted to be my friend. Even the least friendly were fine with me after they got revenge for me mistaking them for ten year olds. They are all world stars, touched by destiny, beyond human even…yet to them Chloe Cerise was interesting for who I am. They were welcoming of everything I was, forgiving to the stuff I was still easing into, and helped me get into things I’d never have tried before. And yes, the fact that all of them are hot and found me attractive helped, but despite what I’d joked about beforehand to screw with my father a bit, nothing would have happened if they just wanted to get in my pants.”

Slut Chloe sighed, shaking her head a bit.

“I really should have stopped being a tsundere about things earlier. But the past is in the past, and I’m better for it. I could have been even better if I opened up so much sooner. If I opened up about my problems, maybe my father wouldn’t have tried coming up with a scheme that certainly went way farther than he expected it to, and if the rest of the Chloes were more open…”

No evil god Parkers and suicide ward Gohs. Slut Chloe had space between her and the rest of the Chloes, she was not as far removed from them as it seemed after all.

“So um….are you going to introduce me to um….” Chloe wasn’t sure where to go next, and she had no idea if asking about the thirty-seven…but she hated thinking about Goh in a suicide ward more.

“...How do you even keep track of them all?” Lexi questioned as Slut Chloe smiled a little wickedly.

“If it helps, someone also made a chart covering everything. It’s like the family tree, based on it even, but even more eldritch. Behold.” Slut Chloe, had the giant group photo replaced with a…a….a….a….

Lexi immediately exploded into confetti at the sight of the monstrosity that was….she couldn’t even focus on anything about it! Her eyes glazed over and her head flashed neurons of pain.

“The blue lines are for serious relationships, the red lines are casual sexual relations, the pink are agreements for same-sex couples to have a kid genetically related to them, the gray is for intense semi-friendly rivalries, black is for villanous behavior….” Slut Chloe casually explained, elaborating on the other colors that contributed into something that could make an outer god vomit. “The total count of siblings is starting to get close to five thousand, plus the moms, the siblings’ various romantic partners of various counts, the father with way too much time on his hands, the various extended families…”

“That’s torture to look at!” Chloe shouted before Slut Chloe could explain more.

“Yeah, and now I’m immune to it and reading it is as smooth as silk to me. Neat huh?”

‘Neat’ was not the word to describe that… thicket did not describe it. Not even a tangled-up mess. Also why did she see someone who looked like her mom in there!? The last thing that mess needed was incest!

“Why is our mom in that thing?” Chloe dreaded both the answer and not answering it.

“Oh, my mom and Ash’s mom used to date and screw each other.” Slut Chloe sounded like, once upon a time, that thought made her want to die. Now it just made her a bit awkward, though Chloe had a question. Was that a thing in other realities too!? What about hers!? “I don’t know if they’d be interested in doing so, or if dad would be fine with it, and I do not want to know.”

"Could we change the topic, please?" Chloe took a deep breath. "You don't… seem like the other Chloes. Why's that? I mean by your own admission, you weren’t really…that close to Ash before the family reunion, and had your own problems just like us."

She could see how close Slut Chloe was to her Ash in that chart, probably. Unless she was misreading it, which wasn’t impossible. Was Goh in there somewhere, or was he still pining from his carnage loving fiance from the Hordes of Death to become one of Ash’s brother-in-laws?

“I don’t know.” Slut Chloe admitted, sounding like the question of why was something she pondered a bit. “Like I said, I’m not all that different from all of them. I helped steer Parker into being too violent with a warped attachment to me like the other Chloes. I was upset that people were excited about what Ash and Goh do at the lab like the other Chloes. I have most of the school traumas that you guys do. Sure, I never was suicidal…I don’t know what was different. Did I just have more time between the talent show and Goh and Ash than the others? Did I just get more into video games and stories to not dwell on dark thoughts? Is it just something about my universe that just made things subtly different enough to spare everyone? Somehow I’m the only Chloe I’ve met, and I’ve met a few who’ve left to return to their own train quests before you showed up or were arrested so I’ve met a ton of them, who hasn’t either caused a massive incident at home that put people’s lives at risk, or isn’t going right at that fate like a rushing train as we speak.”

Slut Chloe turned to look at the sunset (the area had reverted to its default view) as her hair blew in the wind. Chloe, who was certainly on team ‘you started the domino collapse towards evil god Parker’, had to fight to look right at Slut Chloe and not anywhere but her.

“I’m the only one who hasn’t destroyed our father’s career, who hasn’t sent Goh into a depression, who hasn’t caused our mother pain. I’m the only one who didn’t need that shown clearly as a bad thing to realize it was indeed a bad thing to want that. Things come and go in that mess of course: sometimes it makes Miss, or Mrs, April try to kill herself, sometimes people get their shadows ripped out who then take their body over, sometimes people we know and love get tortured, sometimes demons attack, usually it is the Unown. I’ve never seen anyone hurt for my own vindication, I’ve had no one broken worse than I was harmed, I generated no legal troubles for my family.”

Then she lowered her head, furrowing her brow in frustration.

“There are Chloe here, not all, who insult me for my relationships, for my desires, for the fact I am so different from them, but it is because of those differences that I brought no harm to my world. The worst I did was make Parker feel jealous of my new connections, and there is a lot more room to explain how that is on Parker than how ‘insert Chloe of choice here’ is not actually responsible for the terrible things that happen because they want to stay on the Infinity Train to feel special or to extort others into obedience.”

Finally, Slut Chloe faced Chloe, a look of pure determination in her eyes.

“If being ‘Slut Chloe’ means I don’t hurt anyone, then Slut Chloe I’ll be. I’ll take the worst titles if I know the only tears I’ve caused my parents is my father mourning the fact I’m no longer his innocent little blossom. Honestly those tears were half theatrics, half him feeling his age. So yeah…Slut Chloe is Best Chloe, because I don’t have blood on my hands. You seem to be like a Chloe who fully realizes what is wrong with everything, and unlike K. Krackle Chloe, you have the time to make sure it doesn’t happen. From what I heard about your journey so far you have time to do that and have your king heal with a good while to spare, so if you save your family and home before you leave or after it where you won’t be scorned is up to you. Both will work, just save your family and everyone from everything. You have the chance and the desire to do it without a caveat about who is ‘worth’ saving, take it.”

With nothing more to say, Slut Chloe turned back to the sunset, watching it alongside Chloe as the newcomer looked at it in contemplation.

….

A few days later, with Atticus’s paw fully healed, Chloe departed the Chloe Respite Car, with the other Chloes departing as well as they were able to then or earlier or in a short time after she would.

Boiling Chloe had a therapist lined up in the Sweet Succubus Car courtesy of Atticus, Zombie Chloe shambled off somewhere in a quest to get some means of better speaking, the Chloe who had her thunder stolen left to find something else to do that wouldn’t be taken first by Luz, Amity, and Marcy and was apparently going to look into a guy named ‘Hayato Mikogami’, Bloombolt Chloe looked like she was going to see if she could get herself to also warn Goh,  and Blue Chloe… was blue. Da ba dee da ba di.

And so on and so forth for the other Chloes.

Now back to her regularly scheduled Infinity Train, Chloe felt like there were no longer any more around her to judge. Ironic, how she felt the greatest judgments from herself, but she didn’t feel confident or secure making the call there, and she didn’t just want to text about it.

“Okay….deep breaths….I just need to apologize…”

“With minimal ‘I’m sorry, but’ while doing so.” Atticus advised. Chloe swallowed, feeling a surge of nerves coming up from her gut like vomit.

“Oh, that’s going to be so much trouble. I wish I had a script.”

“That would probably make it less genuine, even if they can’t see you reading it.” Lexi advised. Also there was no printer in the Chloe Respite Car.

“Should I just start with ‘I talked to a bunch of alternate versions of myself’ and go from there?”

“I’d advise not to. Remember, restore bridges, prevent disaster, be better.” Atticus reiterated. Chloe took a calming breath, then a second, then a third. Then she touched the contact on her phone she’d been ignoring for some time now, and listened to the rings. And then it picked up.

This call would be very, very awkward, but it beat mental rape, suicide baiting, and demons so hard it wasn’t even close.

—--

Fun fact, several of these Chloe without a direct counterpart are based on ideas I’ve experimented with to various extents. For example the expanded story of Slut Chloe was well into development and probably just needs me to hunker down and finish a few scenes while also ensuring the intended message is clear, while the Chloe with Persona elements got a few lines a while back.

Also for the curious or those who might need to keep the Chloe’s straight. Chloe roadcall! These also let me (Cross) limit my word count or I could give backstory details forever.

Newbie Chloe: The Chloe whose POV we follow. A pretty bog-standard Blossomverse Chloe a while removed from the events of Cyan Desert or their equivalent. This standard shows how Chloe can be better, though she often needs a quite hard to do so.

Slut Chloe: A version of Orange Rose Chloe who ended up on an adventure to the Infinity Train on her own terms to retrieve Parker. Slut Chloe finds the vast majority of her counterparts to be rather terrible because of how many cause misery to their families, friends, and other people, and she’s not shy about making it known. Her snark makes her few friends among her other Chloes.  Compared to Orange Rose Chloe, she’s a bit older and has had more adventures of various sorts.

Gameshow Chloe: A version of Blossomverse Game Show Chloe who did not have Atticus to help lean her reactions in, allowing her worst thoughts about Ash and Goh to become dominant.

Blue Chloe: A Chloe with blue hair. That’s about it.

Bloombolt Chloe: A Chloe from a world where she’s in love with Ash Ketchum. She’s disliked by the other Chloes, but not as much as Slut Chloe.

Phantom Chloe: A Chloe from a world with Persona 5 aspects to its makeup who possesses the Persona Don Quijote, though she lost her status as the driver of things to Ash and his Persona Picard. She’s a bit grumpy about that, and in denial about what her Persona means about her or that she’s not the Wild Card.

Chelsea Hawk Chloe: A Chloe with the distinctive haircut stylings of Bellemere or Carol Danvers. Like Blue Chloe this is her main difference.

Zombie Chloe: A Chloe who died after giving a reason you suck speech to a postseason 1 pre season 2 Sasha Waybright and triggered a Calamity berserk 'fight' with Chloe losing badly, but was revived and mostly put back together by her Infinity Train companions. Poor speech skills result from her revival, but she’s fully cognizant. Would be called something else if the other Chloe’s could agree if ‘Frankenstein Chloe’ was accurate or not (they argue about if Frankenstein is the monster’s name or not).

Robbed Chloe: A Chloe whose self-planned goal was upstaged by a team of Luz Noceda, Amity Blight, and Marcy Wu. A tad jelly and feels under acknowledged and a master of the Chloe rant TM

Aura Chloe: A Chloe from a world where she was born with Aura powers. A runaway for longer than the other Chloes pre-Infinity Train, her abilities give her nothing but trouble in her opinion. She’d rather not admit that her own attempt to be special with her powers caused her own problems and focuses on the ‘double standard’.

Boiling Chloe: A Chloe based on the universe of works like ‘Melancholy Afterlife’ and “Boiling Point’. Probably needs the most therapy out of all Chloes. Tecnhically a ‘Koharu Sakuragi’.

Bee Chloe: A Chloe with the Bee Miraculous dropped by a Chloe B. also on the Infinity Train, with which she turns into a superhero. Chloe B.

Arrested Chloe: A Chloe whose adventures on the Infinity Train were cut short as a result of her world catching up to her in the form of inter-dimensional police. Removed from the Infinity Train to stand trial for her role in the events of her world’s equivalent of ‘the Unown Incident’ which drew in Lusamine’s ire in particular. Having talked with Parker about the people she was angry at before she left was not intended to be about murder, but Parker took it that way and she was found liable for it. Her original title was Fighting Game Chloe for her expertise.

Bitch Chloe: An unseen Chloe who earned the name before Slut Chloe could.

Sara-lover Chloe: An unseen Chloe dating her version of Sara as they travel the Infinity Train. Baffles most every Chloe to ponder.

  1. Krackle Chloe: A Chloe who defeated Opigami prior to her arrest. An artist by nature instead of a writer who loved drawing big scenes, this Chloe felt great guilt when she realized she created a terrifying situation due to letting her phone battery die for a week. In her defense, she was very busy at the time with Opigami. Her companion came from the Wizard Spaceship Car.

Crocus Chloe: A Chloe whose universe seems determined to resolve her of all guilt, despite logic or sense. Is the Chloe from a version of ‘How Rainbow Rocket Should End’ because Cross has standards about what nonsense is allowed for critique.

And because I love me some summaries…for the side cast

Atticus (Newbie Chloe): The dignified, noble, and wise King of Corginia. He is prideful enough to dislike coddling for his injury, but gives his wisdom to Chloe where he can. She’d be worse without him, though perhaps he is a tad too light of a touch.

Lexi (Newbie Chloe): A prince who looks like a Yu-Gi-Oh character. He is a loyal supporter of Chloe, though his biases often show. Often resembles a Yu-Gi-Oh character.

Lita Allegro (Slut Chloe): Chloe’s girlfriend and one of her world’s Ash Ketchum’s many half siblings. A Pokemon Trainer and ‘Bloodliner’, a type of superpowered human with powers of electricity. The two met at the Ketchum Family Reunion and the two adventured to the Infinity Train to seek out Parker Cerise. Currently continuing the search while Chloe recovers from her broken leg. Her mother worked on dimensional travel technology tracing energy signatures from places like the Dream World and Infinity Train.

Sierra Mohavea (Slut Chloe): Chloe’s girlfriend and one of her world’s Ash Ketchum’s many half siblings. A Bloodliner Pokemon trainer from Orre, Sierra looks a lot like Spectre and the Spectre look-alikes that Chloes seem to always find. Everyone has types after all. The author would probably have created a character like her in the original Orange Rose if the Spectre backlash was a thing at the time. Currently on the Parker hunt while Chloe’s leg heals.

Goh Fujihachi (Slut Chloe): Chloe and Ash’s socially awkward friend and the full time Research Fellow recruit of Professor Cerise. Goh helped set up Chloe’s new relationships and is happy for his friend. Had complex and complicated relationships with a girl who could kill him who he earned the respect and admiration of, though she would kill him if she ever saw him again. Even today, as he chases Mew, he wonders the what-ifs and wishes his relationships were as smooth as Ash’s and Chloe’s.

The Father (Slut Chloe): The father of Ash, Lita, and far too many others. A vile and massive human from Orre, he found himself imprisoned on the Infinity Train with black letters prior to the equivalent of events of Orange Rose, briefly escaped, and was re-imprisoned. While his actions alongside those of Elipzo let Slut Chloe find the Infinity Train, she fears encountering him again.

Reeve Poppy (Slut Chloe): A young boy who is one of Ash and Lita’s many half siblings. Due to his connections to a most vile Infinity Train prisoner, was targeted by Elipzo, a move that drew in his family to protect him. One really shouldn’t try to target a little brother of a family whose family has defeated hundreds of threats to the world, no matter how scary your cult thinks it is.

Elipzo Branch (Slut Chloe): A branch of the multiversal cult in a ‘Orange Rose’ reality who tried to go after Reeve Poppy. His older siblings destroyed them for it, disbanding the organization and seeing the members arrested or trapped in other worlds, though their defeat opened the door to Slut Chloe’s own quest.

Parker Cerise (Slut Chloe): Chloe’s long-time supporter turned enemy when, after she spent her school break working at Ash’s family reunion, came back with friends, girlfriends, and lovers who were her friends and liked what she did. Parker got his wish, but in a way he couldn’t stand, and his already unhealthy relationship with Chloe turned toxic, eventually leaving him to the Infinity Train.

Ash Ketchum (Slut Chloe): One of thousands of half siblings created by the whims of a wicked man, Ash grew up into an exemplary man, trainer, and hero and one of the faces of his strange but loving family. When his work with Professor Cerise led the professor to request help getting Chloe friends, Ash offered to see if she could work at his family reunion to meet many people her age at once. It worked. Ash is one of the 37 who his world’s Chloe has slept with, though their relationship is friends with benefits.

Ash Ketchum (Aura Chloe): The Ash from Aura Chloe’s reality who, unlike her, didn’t have to run away from home because she flaunted her aura abilities. This is a result not of a double standard but because Ash never considered them special enough to go hog wild with, just something that he has.

Ash Ketchum (Bloombolt Chloe): An Ash who a Chloe fell in love with. Unlike many Chloes, this Ash does not earn her ire and hate, and she keeps in contact with him while trying to warn him of what will happen with the Unown. He would be very upset with her if it ever came out she’s not doing the same for the others, but the idea has not crossed his mind yet. He’s a trusting lad.

Goh Forward (Bloombolt Chloe): A Goh with a different last name, Goh accidentally earned Bloombolt Chloe’s wrath by trying to be a shipper on deck, though his results had unexpected consequences. Bloombolt’s anger with him is thus comprehensible, even if Goh really thinks his intentions were good and they were not supposed to backfire like they did.

Parker Cerise (Bloombolt Chloe): Bloombolt’s younger brother and NOT a shipper on deck. As a result of Goh’s attempts to help going wrong, he is a time bomb. Bloombolt is aware of the problem, but not its scale when it comes to how much Parker hates Ash compared to most Parker’s, or how dangerous he will be to Ash specifically if he gets the Unown. He would not like it if he found out Chloe was warning Ash to avoid him for Cyan Desert.

Sara and Waspinator (Unknown Chloe): An alternate version of Cherry Bloodlines Sara who travels with the ex-Predacon on her own adventures on the Infinity Train. Waspinator is still abused by the universe, but Sara’s surprisingly nice to him about it.

Luz Noceda (Robbed Chloe): A version of Luz from a different reality than Robbed Chloe, daughter of Camilla and Hermes and stepdaughter of Manny, Luz engaged in many adventures across the worlds before joining Marcy on her quest to find the missing Anne and Sasha. The holder of the Otter Miraculous as the heroine ‘The Vivacious' Vertical Vidra, the power of Levitation which allows her to remove the effects of gravity on anything from herself to buildings.

Amity Blight (Robbed Chloe): A witch from the Boiling Isles who started as an enemy of Luz, but eventually became her girlfriend and a loyal companion in battles against witch hunters, titans, cosmic horrors, and interdimensional cults. Joined her girlfriend as part of Marcy’s quest and holds the Deer Miraculous as the Heroine ‘The Cunning’ Countess Cierva, which grants her the power of Negotiation to resolve any issue with supernaturally persuasive and intuitive dialogue.

Marcy Wu (Robbed Chloe): A daughter of Athena from a different reality than Robbed Chloe who woke up in Camp Half-Blood with hazy memories of what happened after she was stabbed and before she woke up. As she figures out what happened and discovers a renewed connection to a lost power, the whereabouts of her missing friends and a new enemy leads her to lead a quest into the Infinity Train to rescue Anne and Sasha. If she used a Miraculous with her Calamity Powers, she would explode, so she doesn’t despite her wish to.

Elipzo Branch (Robbed Chloe): A branch of the multiversal cult from a fused reality of Amphibia, Owl House, Miraculous Ladybug, and the Rick Riordan novels who tried to assassinate Marcy Wu. This action led to Marcy, Luz, and Amity’s quest to the Infinity Train. Like their counterpart branch from Slut Chloe’s world, it is defunct with many of the members dead or imprisoned.

Hayato Mikogami (Robbed Chloe): Robbed Chloe’s new target after Elipzo, Mikogami was once known as the Ashikabi of the South as part of a grand game cooked up by an insane scientist who found a hundred and eight humanoid aliens. Once a lonely child with problems connecting with people, his Sekirei helped him develop past an antagonistic role into something almost akin to Goh, just with magical alien girlfriends and the one boyfriend instead of Pokemon. His post series globetrotting in search of mysteries led him to the Infinity Train alongside his Sekirei.

Sasha Waybright (Zombie Chloe): A Sasha Waybright from an Amphibia reality who ended up in the Infinity Train after her fight with Anne at Toad Tower, Sasha was already in a bad place when she came across a Chloe who decided to give her a ‘Reason You Suck’ speech that also spoiled what she’d do in Season 2. This resulted in her unlocking her Calamity Powers and recreated the Super Saiyan debut scene, with her as Goku and Chloe as a more breakable Freiza. She’s not the Sasha that the above Marcy is looking for.

Unnamed (Boiling Chloe): A ex-student of Koharu’s school who was corrupted by exposure to demons, becoming a demon himself. Kind of terrible. Koharu would rather not speak his name and neither I or Exotos care to look it up.

Spectre (Boiling Chloe): A yokai demon in service to Boiling Chloe’s ‘friend’ who happens to resemble a Yu-Gi-Oh character. His more advanced age and willingness to kill for Boiling Chloe, even when she would rather he not, helped end their relationship, especially after he followed her onto the Infinity Train.

Chloe Bourgeois (Bee Chloe): The former Queen Bee of a Miraculous universe who ended up in the Infinity Train during the events of Miracle Queen, losing the Bee Miraculous by chance. She’s chasing after Bee Chloe to get it back and is probably not in a good place mentally.

Lusamine (Arrested Chloe): An eccentric woman whose wealth is as endless as her visible youth despite being over 50. A good friend of Ash who has nothing but good to think of him for helping her children and being very willing to let her live out her Power Ranger fantasies, hearing of his injuries sustained by the actions of Parker drew her anger. Fighting Game Chloe had no chance once Lusamine decided she needed to be taken for trial.

Officer Jenny (Arrested Chloe): The Police Officer from Melemele Island who had several encounters with Ash while he was in Alola and is quite fond of him. When the Aether Foundation tapped Alolan officers to help arrest the universe-hopping Chloe Cerise for her part in the Unown Incident, Jenny took this quite personally as did her partner Gumshoos. She was quick to volunteer to lead the operation. Followed her universe’s international treaty specifications for arrest warrants that may differ from law courts in other worlds.

Parker Cerise (Arrested Chloe): A Parker who does as Parkers do and goes on a murderous rampage. While Ash and Serena avoided the initial seizure, others weren’t as lucky. He and Chloe had long expressed frustration with feeling replaced by their father’s co-workers, and when he had them in the clutches of god-like power…their lives were soon forfeit. He hunted many targets for various slights, his intense desire for ‘justice’ making up for his comparatively short time as a mad god compared to other Parkers. He specifically wanted to make Goh suffer, so he went after Goh’s family before the rest of Chloe’s classmates.

Spenser (Unknown Chloe): The Palace Maven of the Battle Frontier and the Frontier Brain most everyone believes Ash will be asked to succeed one day due to his age. His age and history has led him to encounter mystical energies, which are useful to stop cosmically powered Parkers.

Greta (Unknown Chloe): The Arena Tycoon of the Battle Frontier. Greta battled ferociously with Ash back in the day, and even though she’s in Hoenn these days she is more than willing to help Ash out against cosmically powered Parkers.

Brandon (Unknown Chloe): The Pyramid King of the Battle Frontier with a flying Pyramid. While such a thing isn’t the fastest thing around, and thus was not used to come to Ash’s aide against Parker, he was quick to bring his Regis to hit the problem with Hyper Beams. UnChloe took a while to rematerialize afterwards.

Anabel (Unknown Chloe): The Salon Maiden of the Battle Frontier and one of many who’ve found Ash a charming catch. A psychic, while the sheer vitriol of Parker’s creations was hard for her, she was the first to rush to Ash’s aid when the call reached them. Lavender is better than green and orange.

Zoroark (Unknown Chloe): A Zoroark from ancient Sinnoh, then known as Hisui, who befriended Ash as a Zorua when he was sent back across time and space randomly. Zoroark possesses a ferocious power, and has no hesitation unleashing it to make Ash’s enemies blow themselves up with their own god-like powers. Fortunately this is clearly self-defense, so his only punishment is a delayed debut in the World Coronation Series to be sure he won’t do it to someone innocent.

Braviary and Liligant (Unknown Chloe): Two other Hisuian Pokemon that Ash met while space-time was being a bother. Both returned with him to his present to a time after Chloe had vanished, Ash being completely unaware of this until he walked right into a post Chloe mess. It dampened the luster of his many stories about his time a bit.

Demon Kaiju Parker (K. Krackle Chloe): A Parker Cerise whose Unown Incident was made nuts not by Chloe saying that if people don’t obey her every whim that she’d go away again, but because Chloe let her phone die and thus couldn’t reply to his texts. Parker, freaking out about Chloe being gone or in danger on top of his usual anger, instead tried to use the Unown to tear reality apart to get to the Infinity Train and get her back. This led to him becoming a demonic monster version of himself. His unrestrained efforts threatened reality itself, leading to a multiversal crisis event that drew many other heroes to his world to defeat him.

Ladybug (K. Krackle Chloe): Known to Chloe as Ledyba, Ladybug is the beloved heroine of Paris, the first hero in the city to debut in her reality. While Parker doesn’t like her show based on the previous reality, her power to fix everything afterwards was appreciated by all the affected realities. It doesn’t do anything about some of the funky changes to her own reality though, not that she minds them at all. Or knows that there is something to fix.

Rena Rouge (K. Krackle Chloe):  Known to Chloe as Vulpicture, Rena in a past reality had hijacked a wish by the arch villain Monarch to stop him from winning, thinking that a world where people loved her best friend, a beloved figure already, would not be messed up. While she’s not quite aware of the full implications of her wish yet, it motivated her to put in over a hundred percent against the multiversal endangering Parker.

Pigella (K. Krackle Chloe):  Chloe doesn’t know this hero as she debuted in a season not yet aired when she went to the Infinity Train, but Pigella is fine with being under the radar. No one quite knows her origin story in her reality, and she’s fine with that. She’s a small things heroine after all, though willing to help out against villains where she can, be they made by akumas or Unown.

Queen Bee (K. Krackle Chloe):  Known as Vespiqueen to our Chloe, as well as ‘Bad Chloe’, making her likable ate up a lot of Rena’s wish, but as a result Paris’s third heroine is firmly on the side of good, though perhaps with more mental hangups than she probably should have.

Ryuko (K. Krackle Chloe):  The daughter of a distant woman, Ryuko found a magical choker after fencing class one day and became the heroine Ryuko.  While Newbie Chloe hates love triangles and squares, she’d probably be happy to know that isn’t the case with Ryuko this time.

Fulmina (K. Krackle Chloe): While in Newbie Chloe’s world she has yet to have her episodic debut, Zoe Lee is still a hero in the world dragged into Demon Kaiju’s crisis. However instead of the Bee, she has found several of the Native American Miraculous. One of her most powerful is the Thunderbird, which grants her the power to become Fulmina, a heroine with immense electrical force. A New York based heroine, fate led her to Paris a while before she was called to save her reality from being destroyed by Parker.

Monkey D. Luffy (K. Krackle Chloe): Known as Mankey D. Luffy to Chloe, this Monkey D. Luffy is a pre-time skip Luffy whose grandfather ended up the caretaker of the adopted daughter of Shanks and the child of Kaido. He's still a combat idiot savant, different circumstances can’t change that, though there were numerous changes that may see climactic events play out differently. Not that he knows that, he was too busy eating at the afterparty to hear spoilers and wouldn’t want them in the first place.

Sanji (K. Krackle Chloe): A cook who fights with his legs and loves all ladyfolk, Sanji’s gained a new gag as a result of Luffy’s two ‘blood sibling’ crew members where every time he flirts with one he gets reflexively punched by Luffy. The other crew members can’t tell if this is conscious or unconscious on Luffy’s part, and if it is based on sibling or jealousy reasons. A very powerful fighter and gentleman when not flirting though, and a top notch chef who can cater a post multiverse saving party as head chef.

Yamato (K. Krackle Chloe): A younger version of the child of Kaido, born female and so moved by the later death of Kozuki Oden to want to be him, by some circumstance found herself in the company of Luffy, Sabo, Ace, and Uta under the care of Garp. This younger Yamato, about Ace’s age, had some knowledge of advanced topics that Garp wouldn’t teach small children, like Haki, but not enough to really explain them properly. Still creates quite a few butterflies even while Kaido doesn’t move to retrieve Yamato.

Uta (K. Krackle Chloe): The adopted daughter of Shanks who, instead of a traumatic incident leading to abandonment, ended up in Garp’s care for related cosmic reasons. Garp is of course his own trauma, though this Uta might be more stable for it. Her exasperations are instead having to keep Luffy and Yamato on a leash, frequently trapping them, and Sanji, with her Devil Fruit when they get too wild. One of the designated ‘sane Straw Hats’, but sanity on the crew is relative.

Percy Jackson and Blackjack (K. Krackle Chloe): The son of Poseidon and his faithful steed, this Percy actually comes from a world with its own Ladybug and Cat Noir. However the tear that Parker opened up was near Montauk, not Paris, though it will make his eventual meeting with them to see his half sister a bit weirder than it was already going to be. Multiverses do that to meetings. Especially as Percy and Blackjack met a version of her during the crisis that isn’t his sister.

Ben Tennyson (K. Krackle Chloe): Savior of the Universe! He’s tried to sing his own praises after defeating the Highbreed many times, but his friends won’t let him sing the whole thing aloud before slapping him. Helping to stop Demon Kaiju Parker is something he’s done with the Ultimatrix recently that Azmuth can’t find fault with. Jetray is one of his most used transformations.

Jenny Walkman (K. Krackle Chloe): A robot built to save the world but who has the mentality of a teenage girl. To save her world she entered the red tear in reality that formed over her world’s Kanto, Japan to find the source and arrived in the Pokemon World to help defeat Parker. When she returned home some of her friends really wished she brought back a Pikachu.

Danny Fenton (K. Krackle Chloe): The hero of Amity Park known as Danny Phantom, stopping a Parker based multiversal crisis is not the first time a Ben and a Danny have met. In the post-universe saving after party, the two got along pretty well.

Lelouch Lamperouge (K. Krackle Chloe): The exiled prince of Britannia turned the masked Zero, of all of the heroes gathered he is certainly the most morally dubious, though how he relates to Luffy could be debated. Still, Lelouch played his part and got to help cook the after party, though he is sure that C.C won’t believe him when he gets back home. Would have stolen the Ladybug Miraculous if the Cat Miraculous was also present and he knew about the wish, side effect or not, for Nunnally.

Rodimus (K. Krackle Chloe): The aged Rodimus from the end of days who guards the planet Donnokot as one of the last, hopefully the last, of his kind. His memories were a bit shot, but the Autobots have met madness before and he met it once more. He’s unsure about getting some more fuel afterwards to prolong his life, but he was happy to see a thriving and not blown up Earth once more regardless of his feelings on his own existence.

Izuku Midoriya (K. Krackle Chloe): A hero in training from a future Earth where most of the population are born with powers. One of the few young people without them, chance found himself with a once in a million chance to fulfill his dreams, and saving the multiverse is a great way to show his stuff. He needed a new autograph book afterwards.

Ochaco Uraraka (K. Krackle Chloe): An aspiring heroine with the power to nullify gravity, who followed Izuku and Bakugo into the giant red tear in space without thinking just like those two. She was probably the first of them to consider that they might get in trouble for that, but only after she saved lives. Enjoyed the afterparty first.

Katsuki Bakugou (K. Krackle Chloe): With terrible people skills, a tendency to scream at people, a tendency towards an explosive temper, and a tendency to threaten violence, you could probably dye his hair red and call him Chloe. Some Chloe’s, like Bakugo, would hate the comparison, but he hates multiverse threats more. Perhaps he should stick to blowing up his sweat in Parker’s face instead of saving people though…
