He states it like a fact, something axiomatic and indelible; night follows day and humans dream. The sun keeps rising, and Hob Gadling loves Dream of the Endless.
“Does this not scare you?” Dream asks, voice hoarse as the words trip off his tongue. “It is terrifying to me.”
Love shows itself in many forms; sometimes, words might still work best, especially where the Prince of Stories is concerned.

I've been kind of busy before the holidays with less reading time so when I saw the Voiceteam Mystery Box 'cold read' challenge I imediately jumped at the chance to read another of queerofthedagger's Sandman fics I'd not yet been able to get to. I picked this particular one as the summary sounded so good. RIP me when I got to the bit with little lines in Basque, Croatian, Hebrew, Catalan, and Gaelic! Hopefully I didn't make too bad a job of pronouncing those lines!! It was totally worth it for this cute fic though!
