Chapter Text
Kara Zor-El stood on the balcony of her family's estate, looking out over the sprawling city of Argo. The red sun of Krypton was setting, casting a warm glow over the towering buildings and busy streets below.
Kara had always loved the view from her balcony, but tonight there was something different in the air. Something was wrong, and she couldn't shake the feeling that something terrible was about to happen.
She was pulled from her thoughts by the sound of her father, Zor-El, calling her name. She turned and walked back into the main room of the estate, where her father was waiting for her.
"Kara, I have something important to tell you," he said, his voice serious. "Something is happening on Krypton that could change our world forever."
"What is it?" Kara asked, her heart racing with fear.
"Krypton is facing a great threat," Zor-El explained. "An unknown force is causing the planet to shake and buckle, threatening to tear it apart from the inside out."
Kara's eyes widened in shock. She had never heard of anything like this happening on Krypton before.
"What can we do?" she asked, fear evident in her voice.
"We have to leave," Zor-El said. "We have to get to safety before it's too late."
Kara nodded, her mind racing. She had always known that Krypton was a dangerous place, but she had never thought that something like this could happen.
"Where will we go?" she asked.
"We will go to Earth," Zor-El said. "It is a safe and hospitable planet, and it is far away from the dangers of Krypton. We will be able to start a new life there, away from the danger and the fear."
Kara nodded, her heart racing with fear and excitement. She had always dreamed of seeing other worlds, and now it seemed like that dream was about to become a reality.
Together, Kara and Zor-El made their way to the family spaceship, ready to embark on their journey to Earth. They didn't know what was waiting for them on the new world, but they were determined to face it with courage and strength.
Three days later...
Kara's heart raced as she tried to keep the ship steady, her hand shaking as she fought against the alien parasite that had infected her father. She could feel its tendrils wrapping around her mind, threatening to take control and leave her a mindless puppet.
She was determined not to let that happen. She was determined to get her father and herself to safety.
But it was a losing battle. Zor-El was weakening by the second, the parasite slowly taking control. Kara knew that there was only one option left. She had to engage the ship's cryostasis measures.
She hesitated for a moment, the fear of the unknown overwhelming her. But she knew that it was the only way to ensure their survival. She had to trust in the technology that her father had developed, and hope that they would both wake up in a safe place.
With a heavy heart, she activated the cryostasis measures, watching as her father was encased in a shimmering cocoon of light. And then she was encased as well, the last thing she saw before the darkness took her was the stars rushing past the ship's viewport.
Kara was lost in space for 15 long years. When she finally woke up, she was shocked to find that she had arrived on a strange planet called Earth. It was a place filled with wonder and terror, and she was immediately thrown into a world of danger as she struggled to find her place in this new world.
She quickly realized that her cousin, Kal-El, had already landed on Earth and had grown up to become the powerful and respected hero known as Superman. But she was not welcomed with open arms. Instead, she was treated with suspicion and fear, her alien abilities making her a target for those who did not understand her.
Despite this, Kara refused to give up. She was determined to protect her new home and the people she had grown to love, using her powers for good and fighting against those who would do harm.
And so, Supergirl was born, a beacon of hope in a world that was still learning to accept her. But as she stood tall and proud, she could not help but wonder what her father would think of her now, and whether he would have been proud of the woman she had become.
For now, she would simply keep fighting, doing what was right, and hoping that one day, the world would understand her and accept her for who she truly was.

Supergirl flew through the skies of Metropolis, feeling the wind rushing past her as she scanned the city for any signs of danger. It had been a quiet day, with no major threats emerging, and she was grateful for the peace.
She had been on Earth for several years now, and while she had made a name for herself as a hero, she still struggled to connect with the people around her. She was an alien in a strange world, and it was difficult to make friends and find her place.
But today, she was determined to change that. She had heard about a woman named Barbara Gordon, who was known for her work as a computer hacker and information broker. Kara was curious about her, and had decided to pay her a visit.
She landed outside Barbara's apartment building, her cape fluttering in the wind as she approached the door. She took a deep breath, trying to calm her nerves, and rang the buzzer.
There was no answer, so Kara tried again. Still nothing. She frowned, wondering if she had gotten the wrong address.
Just as she was about to turn and leave, the door suddenly opened, and a young woman in a wheelchair with curly red hair appeared. She looked up at Kara with a mix of surprise and confusion.
"Can I help you?" she asked.
"Hi, I'm looking for Barbara Gordon," Kara said, smiling. "I heard she lives here."
The young woman's expression softened, and she nodded. "That's me," she said. "I'm Barbara."
"I'm Kara," she said, introducing herself. "I'm a...friend of the family."
Barbara raised an eyebrow, looking skeptical. "Really?" she said. "What family?"
"The...Superman family," Kara said, stumbling over her words.
Barbara's expression turned to one of realization, and she nodded. "Oh, you're Supergirl," she said. "I've heard of you."
Kara nodded, feeling relieved. "Yes, that's me," she said. "I was hoping to talk to you. I heard you're a computer expert, and I was hoping to pick your brain about some things."
Barbara hesitated for a moment, looking suspicious. But then she nodded, wheeling herself aside to let Kara in. "Sure, come on in," she said.
Kara followed Barbara into her apartment, looking around at the cluttered space. It was filled with computer equipment, books, and papers, and she could tell that Barbara was someone who lived and breathed technology.
"So, what can I help you with?" Barbara asked, settling onto the couch.
"I was hoping to learn more about the technology on this planet," Kara said. "I'm still getting used to things, and I thought you might be able to help me."
Barbara nodded, looking thoughtful. "I can definitely help with that," she said. "What do you want to know?"
Kara sat down across from Barbara, eager to learn as much as she could. The two of them talked for hours, discussing everything from the latest computer software to the dangers of hacking.
Kara was impressed by Barbara's intelligence and knowledge, and she felt a connection growing between them. It was the first time she had felt truly understood by someone on this planet, and she was grateful for it.
But their time was cut short by the sound of a loud explosion. Kara leapt to her feet, her heart racing with fear.
"What was that?" she asked, looking around.
"I don't know," Barbara said, trying to keep her voice steady. "But I have a feeling it's not good."
Kara's eyes darted around the room, looking for any signs of danger. Suddenly, the door burst open, and a masked figure appeared in the doorway.
"Barbara Gordon," the figure said, his voice cold and menacing. "You have something that belongs to me."
Kara recognized the figure immediately. It was Deadshot, one of the most notorious assassins in the world. She had heard of him before, and she knew that he was a dangerous man.
"What do you want?" Kara asked, stepping in front of Barbara protectively.
Deadshot's eyes narrowed, and he pointed a gun at Kara. "I want the information that she stole from me," he said. "And I'm not leaving until I get it."
Kara's mind raced, trying to figure out how to protect Barbara. She knew that she couldn't take on Deadshot by herself, but she also knew that she couldn't let him hurt Barbara.
"You're not getting anything from her," Kara said, standing tall. "I won't let you."
Deadshot chuckled, his gun still trained on Kara. "You think you can stop me?" he said. "You're just a girl in a cape. You don't stand a chance against me."
Kara's eyes flicked to Barbara, who was looking at her with a mixture of fear and gratitude. She knew that she had to protect her, no matter what.
"I may be just a girl," Kara said, her voice steady. "But I have powers that you can't even imagine. And I'm not afraid to use them to protect the innocent."
Deadshot sneered, his finger tightening on the trigger. "We'll see about that," he said.
Kara closed her eyes, focusing all of her energy on Deadshot. She reached out with her super strength, knocking the gun out of his hand and sending him flying across the room.
Deadshot hit the wall with a thud, his body crumpling to the ground. Kara rushed to his side, checking to make sure he was still breathing.
"Is he...?" Barbara asked, wheeling over to Kara's side.
Kara nodded, looking relieved. "He's out cold," she said. "But he'll be okay."
Barbara let out a sigh of relief, looking grateful. "Thank you," she said. "I don't know what I would have done without you."
Kara smiled, feeling a sense of pride. She had finally found someone on this planet who understood her, and she was grateful for it.
"Anytime," she said, helping Barbara back to the couch. "I'll always be here to protect you."
The two of them sat together, talking and laughing into the night. Kara knew that they had just been through a terrifying experience, but she also knew that they were stronger for it.
Together, they had faced one of the most dangerous assassins in the world, and they had come out unscathed. And for the first time, Kara felt like she had found a home on this strange, new world.

Kara was in the gym at the Hall of Justice, pushing herself to the limit in a training session. She had been feeling overwhelmed and frustrated with the recent loss of Clark, and she needed to channel that energy into something productive.
She was sweating, her muscles straining as she lifted weights, when her phone rang. She glanced down at the screen, seeing Barbara's number. She took a deep breath, trying to calm herself, and answered.
"Hi Barbara," she said, her voice slightly out of breath.
"Hi Kara," Barbara replied, her tone concerned. "Are you okay? You sound like you're working out."
Kara laughed, trying to sound nonchalant. "Yeah, I'm just in the gym," she said. "I needed to blow off some steam."
"I understand," Barbara said, sounding sympathetic. "It's been a rough couple of weeks for all of us. Losing Clark was a huge blow."
Kara felt her eyes mist up at the mention of Clark's name. He had been like a big brother to her, and his death was still fresh in her mind.
"It has," she said, her voice breaking slightly. "I still can't believe he's gone."
"I know," Barbara said, her voice soft. "But we'll get through this. We're all here for each other."
Kara nodded, feeling grateful for Barbara's words of encouragement. She had been feeling so alone since Clark's death, but talking to Barbara was helping.
"Thanks, Barbara," she said. "I really appreciate it."
"Of course," Barbara said. "And if you need anything, just let me know. I'm always here for you."
Kara smiled, feeling a sense of comfort knowing that she had Barbara in her corner. She felt like she was starting to find her place on Earth-111, and she was grateful for the friends she had made.
As Kara was putting her phone back in her pocket, she felt a presence behind her. She turned to see Batman standing there, his arms crossed over his chest.
"Supergirl," he said, his voice low and steady. "I need to speak with you."
"Of course, Batman," Kara said, trying to hide her nervousness. She had heard stories about the Dark Knight, and she knew he was not to be trifled with.
"I understand you're still mourning the loss of your cousin," he said, his eyes fixed on her. "But I need you to reconsider your decision to not properly join the Justice League."
Kara frowned, taken aback. "What do you mean?" she asked.
"We need all the help we can get," Batman said, his voice growing more serious. "With the Black Racer still on the loose, we need all the heroes we can get to bring him to justice."
Kara sighed, looking down at her hands. "I know," she said. "But I'm still not ready. I just...I can't stop thinking about Clark."
"I understand that," Batman said, his tone softening. "But you can't let your grief stop you from doing what's right. Clark would have wanted you to continue his legacy and fight for justice."
Kara nodded, feeling a wave of emotion wash over her. She knew Batman was right. Clark would have wanted her to keep fighting, to not give up.
"Okay," she said, looking up at Batman. "I'll join the Justice League."
Batman gave her a small nod of approval, and then turned to leave the gym.
Kara watched him go, feeling a sense of determination settle over her. She was ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead, and she was determined to bring the Black Racer to justice, once and for all.

The Hall of Justice was bustling with activity as people from all over the world gathered to celebrate Supergirl's induction into the Justice League. Government officials, members of the hero community, and media personalities had all been invited to the ceremony, and the atmosphere was one of excitement and anticipation.
Supergirl stood at the center of the room, surrounded by her fellow heroes. She was dressed in her Supergirl suit, her cape fluttering in the breeze as she looked around at the sea of faces.
Bruce Wayne, aka Batman, stepped up to the podium, a smile on his face as he welcomed everyone to the ceremony. "Ladies and Gentlemen, I am honored to welcome you all here today," he said. "We are here to celebrate the induction of a new member into the Justice League."
There was a round of applause as Bruce gestured for Supergirl to step forward. She made her way to the podium, her heart racing with excitement.
"Supergirl has proven herself to be a true hero, and we are proud to welcome her into the Justice League," Bruce continued. "She brings with her a wealth of experience and knowledge, and we are confident that she will be a valuable asset to our team."
Supergirl stepped up to the podium, her eyes shining with emotion. "Thank you, everyone, for this incredible honor," she said. "I have always admired the Justice League and the work that you do. To be able to stand here among you, as a member of this team, is truly a dream come true."
There was a round of applause, and Supergirl looked out over the sea of faces, taking in the excitement and energy of the room. She knew that this was just the beginning of her journey, and she was ready for whatever challenges lay ahead.
The ceremony continued, with various speakers taking the podium to share their thoughts and wishes for Supergirl. And as the night came to a close, Supergirl was left with a sense of pride and purpose. She was a part of the Justice League now, and she was ready to do whatever it takes to protect the world and its people.
Barbara was waiting for Kara outside the Hall of Justice, her car parked nearby. When Kara emerged, Barbara smiled and rolled over to her.
"That was amazing," Barbara said. "You were amazing."
Kara smiled, feeling overwhelmed. "Thank you," she said. "I'm still trying to process everything that just happened."
"It's a lot to take in," Barbara said. "But I'm proud of you. You deserve this, Kara."
Kara felt a tear roll down her cheek, and she quickly wiped it away. "I just wish Clark was here to see it," she said.
Barbara reached out and took Kara's hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. "I know," she said. "But he's watching over you, I'm sure of it."
Kara nodded, feeling comforted by Barbara's words. They stood there for a moment, just looking at each other, before Barbara spoke up again.
"Do you want to get out of here?" she asked. "Maybe go get a drink or something?"
Kara smiled, grateful for the offer. "I'd love that," she said.
Barbara rolled over to her car and started to get in. Kara quickly reached out to help, but Barbara shook her head.
"I've got this," she said. "I've been doing it for a while now."
Kara stepped back, letting Barbara get settled into her chair. They started down the street, talking and laughing, as they made their way to a nearby bar.
It was a quiet, intimate moment, and Kara felt closer to Barbara than she ever had before. She was grateful for their friendship, and she knew that it was only going to continue to grow and strengthen in the future.
Chapter Text
Kara, Wonder Woman, and Green Lantern arrived in Central City, where the city was still in ruins after the attack by the Black Racer. The three heroes were met by two Green Lanterns, Kilowog and a female named Arisia.
"Greetings, heroes," Kilowog said, his voice booming. "The Guardians have sent us to assist with the rebuilding of Central City."
Kara was immediately taken aback by Kilowog's size and gruff demeanor. She stepped forward, her own voice filled with determination.
"I'm Supergirl," she said. "It's an honor to work with you, Kilowog."
Kilowog raised an eyebrow, looking her up and down. "Is it now?" he said, his tone skeptical.
Kara's hackles were immediately raised. "What's that supposed to mean?" she asked.
"It means that I've seen your kind before," Kilowog said. "And they always end up causing more problems than they solve."
Kara's eyes narrowed, and she took a step forward. "What are you trying to say?" she asked, her voice rising.
"I'm saying that you're just another Kryptonian, and we don't need any more of those around here," Kilowog said.
Wonder Woman stepped between them, her own voice calm and measured. "Kilowog, there's no need for this," she said. "We're all here to help Central City, not argue with each other."
Hal sighed, rubbing his temples. "Yeah, let's just try to focus on the mission, okay?" he said.
But Kara and Kilowog were already locked in a heated argument, their voices rising as they each tried to make their point.
Hal sighed, knowing he was going to have to step in. He stepped forward, his voice firm.
"That's enough," he said. "Both of you, knock it off."
Kara and Kilowog turned to look at him, and for a moment, it seemed as though they were going to ignore his command. But then Kilowog took a step back, his expression sour.
"Fine," he said. "But I'm keeping an eye on her."
Kara's expression was equally sour, but she nodded. "Understood," she said.
The five heroes worked together to begin rebuilding the city, using their various powers and skills to help put Central City back together. It was a long, grueling process, but they all worked together, putting their differences aside for the good of the city.
As the days went by, Kara and Kilowog found themselves working together more and more. They started to respect each other's abilities, and they began to understand that they were both there for the same reason.
By the end of the week, Central City was beginning to resemble its former self. The five heroes gathered in the city square, looking out at the progress they had made.
"Well done, everyone," Wonder Woman said, a smile on her face. "Central City is on its way back."
Kilowog nodded, a small smile on his face. "Yeah, I guess it's not so bad working with a Kryptonian after all," he said, his tone begrudging.
Kara chuckled, a smile spreading across her face. "I guess not," she said. "It's been an honor to work with all of you."
Hal grinned, patting Kara on the back. "You did good, kid," he said.
Kara was suddenly ripped from her small moment of happiness by her superhearing. A child's screams echoed through the air, begging and pleading as their parents were dangled from the side of a building in front of them.
Kara quickly sprang into action, flying towards the source of the distress. As she approached, she saw the source of the problem: a massive gorilla, Gorilla Grodd, was holding the child's parents over the edge of the building.
"Put them down!" Kara yelled, her voice full of anger and determination.
Gorilla Grodd merely laughed, his eyes glowing with an evil light. "You think you can stop me, girl?" he sneered. "I am Gorilla Grodd, the ruler of the gorillas and the most powerful being in the world."
"Not today," Kara said, her fists clenched. "Today, I'm taking you down."
Wonder Woman and Green Lantern quickly caught up to her, and the three heroes surrounded Gorilla Grodd. The gorilla let out a roar of fury, swinging his massive arms at the heroes.
But Kara, Wonder Woman, and Green Lantern were quick and agile, dodging the gorilla's attacks and returning with their own. They battled back and forth, their powers and abilities evenly matched against the massive and powerful Gorilla Grodd.
The battle was intense, and it seemed like it would never end. But just when it seemed like Gorilla Grodd was gaining the upper hand, Kara suddenly remembered something.
"Wait!" she yelled, holding up a hand. "I have an idea!"
Kara focused all of her energy, drawing upon the power of her heat vision. She unleashed a massive blast of heat, hitting Gorilla Grodd square in the chest.
The gorilla let out a roar of pain, stumbling back. He looked up at Kara with hatred in his eyes, but before he could attack, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern sprang into action. They surrounded the gorilla, holding him in place as Kara continued to blast him with her heat vision.
Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, Gorilla Grodd fell to the ground, defeated. The heroes quickly saved the child's parents and made sure they were safe, before turning their attention back to Gorilla Grodd.
"That was incredible," Wonder Woman said, looking at Kara with admiration. "You're a true hero."
Kara smiled, feeling a sense of pride and accomplishment. "Thanks," she said. "But we couldn't have done it without each other."
"Agreed," Green Lantern said, nodding. "We make a great team."
The three heroes stood there for a moment, taking in their victory. They had faced one of the greatest threats in the world, and had emerged victorious. They were heroes, and they would continue to be heroes, always standing up for what was right and fighting for justice.
Chapter Text
Barbara was speechless as she stared at the delicate silver toe-ring in the palm of Kara's hand. The two of them were sitting on the roof of the Hall of Justice, watching the sunset over the city.
"I know it's sudden, and maybe even a little cheesy," Kara said, looking down at her feet. "But I just wanted to show you how much you mean to me."
Barbara reached out and took the toe-ring from Kara, slipping it onto her own toe. She looked up at Kara with a soft smile on her face.
"I love it," she said. "And I love you, Kara."
Kara beamed at her, taking Barbara's hand and giving it a gentle squeeze. They sat in silence for a few moments, taking in the beauty of the sunset.
"So," Barbara said, breaking the silence. "Does this mean we're going steady?"
"Yes," Kara said with a grin. "I want to be with you, Barbara. I want to be there for you, no matter what."
Barbara leaned in and pressed a soft kiss to Kara's lips, smiling against them.
"I'm so lucky to have you, Kara," she said. "I can't wait to see what the future holds for us."
Kara wrapped her arms around Barbara, holding her close. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, feeling more content and at peace than she had in a long time. This was the beginning of a beautiful new chapter in her life, and she couldn't wait to see where it would take her and Barbara.
Beneath the Hall of Justice...
As Amanda Waller finished her briefing, Billy Batson leaned back in his chair, taking in everything she had just said. "So let me get this straight, you want us to go retrieve Brainiac's spawn from the bottom of the ocean?" He asked, his tone incredulous.
Alan Scott crossed his arms over his chest, deep in thought. "Brainiac has been a thorn in our side for far too long," he said, "We can't afford to let his offspring fall into the wrong hands."
Tom Bronson, also known as Wildcat, nodded in agreement. "Agreed. We need to act fast, before anyone else gets wind of this."
Martian Manhunter, J'onn J'onzz, stood up from his seat. "I am willing to accompany the team on this mission. My shapeshifting abilities will come in handy in any underwater scenarios."
Amanda Waller nodded, pleased. "Good. I knew I could count on the Justice Society. We'll provide you with the necessary equipment and resources for this mission. Time is of the essence, gentlemen."
The four heroes rose from their seats, ready for the task ahead. As they left the room, Billy Batson couldn't help but feel a sense of apprehension. Brainiac was a formidable opponent, and his offspring was sure to be just as dangerous. But he knew that with the help of his friends, they could overcome any obstacle that lay ahead.
