Summary:

I don't think Brase is Incest. You need to listen to people and their AUs before you judge. :)

BRASE IS NOT INCEST WHEN THEY ARE NOT RELATED.

WOULD YOU CONSIDER TWO PEOPLE WHO GREW UP IN A GROUP HOME TOGETHER AND FELL IN LOVE INCEST!

IT IS NOT INCEST IF YOU ARE NOT RELATED GENETICALLY!.

People have been believing/writing AUs that the rats aren't siblings since the beginning.

There are brase fics, marse, whatever that date back to even after bionic showdown.

We should not have to hide what we ship in order to not get harassed or for people to not be our friends anymore after they find out all of our side ships.

We should all be able to get along no matter what we believe or ship.

Yes, the Donald/Adam fics and Spin fics are gross but there is nothing wrong with shipping and believing what you want.

The thing is people are saying that it's still incest even if they're not genetically related in the person that ships them's headcanons. How would it still be incest if the characters themselves don't believe it's incest in that AU?

People should still be able to get along even if some of one person's ships are squicky to the other person. It's been don't like don't read for a reason and brase has been there since the beginning of the fandom without people calling it incest, the first m rated fic in the fandom was even a brase one shot of after they found out they weren't genetically related.

If Donald didn't treat Adam, Bree and Chase like a dad no wonder they don't feel like they're siblings.

How can other fandoms like Supernatural follow don't like don't read yet our fandom is falling apart over it? If you don't like a ship just filter the tag. Tumblr lets you do that.

And it's these kids bullying people just because they don't like stuff. Guess what? We're the warriors of dinosaur computers and no supervisions on the internet. We don't want to bully them we just don't want them to bully us for shipping what we ship. Especially when it's not our main ship and have made other contributions to the fandom.

My point is, if the characters in the fic don't see it as incest then it's not incest.

The Davenports are fucked up. Heck, you should probably do pysch evals on some of these peoples OCs too.

I'm not denying that stuff should be tagged appropriately so people can filter it but by telling us it's incest when we don't believe it is incest is pushing your beliefs on us. We know some people think it's incest, we don't need people to tell us.

I think the flowers in the attic fic is gross, if they knew they were genetically related they wouldn't be doing a relationship.

I don't support incest in real life. And I think the Adam/Donald fic there is is gross.

There have been Brase, etc fics since the beginning of the fandom. And Marcus wasn't raised with the rats if he's not genetically related to them and human.

All the show says is that the lab rats were genetically engineered, nothing about how they were created or born.

And if someone ship's multiple ships the tag filter should be used and someone should be able to discuss the ships they both ship instead of just bullying them for the one ship they don't ship.

Maybe they were raised as siblings in canon but that was by Donald, who knows if Douglas wanted to raise them as siblings or not?

plus fanfiction is FICTIONAL and has nothing to do with real life at all.

Nothing is wrong in fiction, it's fiction. Would you call someone nasty for enjoying horror, gore and murder?

It's not nasty to have different views and headcanons about a show than other people even if the fandom is smaller now.

We should all be able to agree to disagree and be able to talk about the ships we both like besides the ones that one party doesn't like.

Brase not being related is a grey area compared to thundercest (eww) and all the other ships like it besides Brase and Bradam and Chadam.

You can't tell us what to do or what to think. We all have our own ideas in fanfanfiction.

All is fair in fanfiction and love and war.

No, I should not have to call something incest if I don't believe it's incest. Brase may be slightly more incest than ships with Marcus but it's still not incest.

It's fanfiction for christ's sake. Brase is still better than being a pedophile. And thundercest. And rickxmorty and all the other fanons with actually genetic incest.

If a ship triggers you than don't read it instead of arguing about it. And try to learn the other person's point of view and talk to them about other ships you may have in common like Techhertx and Kaziver.

Everyone that's not a pedophile has a right to exist and people have rights to their headcanons.

Douglas is a mad scientist not a father. And Donald is an abusive parent.
