Chapter 1: Broken
Chapter Text
As far back as I can remember Kyle and I had always been friends, not just friends but super best friends. That is why it shocked everyone when we started to lose that closeness as we got older. I guess it all started when we entered the seventh grade and a kid named of Chad began to bully him almost every day. Kyle tried his best to ignore such an ignorant asshole but I could tell it was getting to him. I also knew he was upset about his parents and how they had started to arguing all the time.
“What if they get a divorce?” he asked one night when he was over at my house for a sleepover.
“I don’t know what to tell you dude,” I sighed looking up at my ceiling “but I don’t think they will.”
“Yeah,” he replied, “you’re probably right and I’m just over thinking it.”
For a while after that his parents seemed to be getting along better and one day Kyle never showed up at school.
“Where’s your little lady friend?” Chad smirked as I walked past him on my way to class. I ignored his comment taking my seat next to Kenny and waited for it start. I tried to texting Kyle at lunch but he never texted back.
“I hope everything is alright,” I said placing my phone down on the table right next to my tray of food so I could take a bite.
“He’s probably just on his period,” Cartman laughed joining Kenny and me at the table.
I just rolled my eyes and decided that I would stop by after school and see what was up before I went home. After school I went straight to his house only to find him sitting on his front steps with his head in his hands just staring down at the ground deep in thought.
“Hey dude,” I greeted walking over and taking a seat next to him on the step.
“He left,” he replied coldly without even looking up at me.
“I’m so sorry,” I said placing my right hand on his shoulder.
“He left us for another woman,” he said bitterly.
I was silent as he continued to talk, it turned out that his dad had met a younger woman and decided to leave his family to be with her instead.
“That’s really fucked up,” I said not knowing what else to say to him.
He said nothing as he got to his feet and let out a heavy sigh before turning around and going inside his house. I opened my mouth to say goodbye but he closed the door in my face, I let out my own sigh as I made my way back to my house.

When Kyle returned to school, he started acting differently with all of us and became really snappy with me.
“Fuck off Stan!” he snapped pulling his shoulder away from my touch when I tried to give him a supporting pat letting him know that I was here for him. I backed away wondering what I had done wrong. I had only asked how he was holding up and how worried I was about him. “Just leave me alone!” he spat shoving past me and walking away as fast as he could.
“Dude, what has his panties in a twist?” Cartman asked smugly.
“Not now Cartman,” I replied turning away from him and walking off in the opposite direction as Kyle. He ended skipping the rest of his classes that day and I did not see him until after school that day. I saw him just as the bus started to pull away on the side of the school talking with Chad.
“Stop the bus!” I shouted but the driver just ignored me and kept driving. At the first stop I quickly got off and rushed back towards the spot where I saw Kyle and Chad but by the time I got there they were both gone. I looked around for any signs of a struggle but found nothing. “Maybe I was just seeing things,” I tried telling myself.
Later that night I was in my room staring down at my phone wondering if I should call him or not? I scrolled through my contacts until his name appeared and I dialed it, two or three rings in and he sent it to voice to mail.
“Hey Kyle,” I said into my phone “it’s Stan, I was just calling to say hi and make sure you were okay. If you could please give me a call back when you can.” I pushed the red button to hang it and sat down at my computer desk waiting to see if he was going to respond, my phone beeped from a text. I picked it up and opened it which read :can’t talk right now:

Over the course of the next few weeks Kyle started skipping more and acting strange, he even started hanging out with Chad more. On the days he chose to stay in school he would sit with his new friends and not even say anything to us. I tried to talk to him once, but Chad was standing there with his gang, and they were known to beat the crap out of anyone who even looked at them weird. With all the skipping Kyle was doing his grades dropped rapidly and he started getting detention.
“KYLE GET BACK HERE!” I heard Mrs. Broflovski shout after him as he stormed out of his house one evening as I was helping my mom carry in groceries.
“Just leave me alone!” he snapped back “You fat bitch!”
“What…what..what”! she shouted back “You get back here right now mister!”
I watched him storm my way glaring at me as he passed on by and down the sidewalk. Mrs. Broflovski was left standing in her front yard with her hand over mouth clearly upset over what had just happened. “Oh Sheila,” my mom said softly walking over to her.
“I don’t know what I did wrong Sharon,” she replied with crack in her voice as she fought back her tears “he’s just changed so much since Gerald left us.”
“I know Sheila,” my mom said giving Mrs. Broflovski a supportive hug.
Mrs. Broflovski nodded before turning to me “Do you think you could talk to him?” she asked, “To find out what’s wrong.”
“I guess I can try,” I replied slowly “but I’m not sure if he even wants to talk to me anymore.”
“He’ll listen to you,” she said giving me a tiny smile “you are his best friend.”
I opened my mouth to say something, but my mom gave a stern look letting me know that I had no choice but to go after him. I had no clue where he was as I walked in the direction had he stormed off in. Shoving my hands in my pockets thinking about what they expected me to say to him when he had not spoken to me in weeks. “Great,” I sighed “Kyle’s not even talking to you, what makes you think he’s even going to want to see you?”
My feet led me to Stark’s Pond….. “Well, what do we have here?” a deep voice asked coming from behind me. I quickly turned to see Chad leaning up against the sign smoking a cigarette. I swallowed hard wishing I had not come this way “This was a bad idea.”
Chad tossed his cigarette on the ground and stomped it out giving a quick nod towards his friends who were standing in the shadows. “Let go of me!” I hissed struggling to free myself from one of his friends that had grabbed a hold of my jacket collar.
“What gave you the right to come waltzing in on my turf?” Chad asked walking over slowly with such a smug look on his face.
I was just passing by looking for my friend," I replied never noticing how much he towered over me until he stood in front of me.
“Stan, what the fuck are you doing here?” Kyle asked finally stepping out from behind Chad glaring at me.
“Kyle?” I asked feeling Chad’s friend tighten his grip on my jacket.
Chad looked back at Kyle then said, “Let him go.”
Now that I was free I turned to face Kyle “Dude, can we to talk?”
“And what makes you think that I want to talk to you?” Kyle asked bitterly crossing his arms across my chest
“Please,” I replied
“If you have something to say to Ky then you can say it to all of us,” Chad said as he stepped in between Kyle and me folding.
“I know what you want to Stan,” Kyle replied rolling his eyes “you want to tell me to stop acting like this and to go back to the way that I was before. But let me tell you something I like the way that I am now and if you don’t like the way I am than you can just FUCK YOURSELF!”
“Well, you heard the man,” Chad smirked shoving me causing me to stumble backwards a bit “I’m going to give you to the count of ten to get your sorry ass out of here before we kick it.”
I took one last look at Kyle before I hurried out of there as fast as I could, I was completely out of breath by the time I reached end of my street. I was just about to start walking down it when someone grabbed me from behind. “Oh Jesus,” I said quickly covering my face the best I could.
“Sorry about that back there,” Kyle laughed
“Huh?” I asked all confused as to why he was acting like way he was.
“Chad was just being a douche,” he replied laughing again.
I blinked still confused by his actions “You should have seen the look on your face,” he said making a funny panicked face.
“Dude, why are you even hanging out with those guys?” I asked not seeing the humor in this.
“Chad understands me,” he replied straightening up and changing his happy face to a more serious one.
“But we have been friends since preschool,” I explained “doesn’t that mean anything to you anymore?”
“Oh my God!” he exclaimed rolling his eyes “Are you fucking jealous?”
“No,” I quickly replied, “I’m just worried about you.”
“Worried about what?” he defended
“You just have been acting really weird since your dad left and I am worried about you,” I explained.
I watched his face change to an even darker tone “You don’t know anything!” he spat
“You’re right,” I sighed “but that’s not my fault.”
“Not your fault!” he hissed quickly grabbing the front of my jacket and pulling me towards him “You never listen to anyone’s problems but expect everyone to listened to all of yours!”
“That’s not true!” I snapped back shoving him away “When you dad first left I tried to talk to you but you shut me out!”
“Whatever,” he shrugged turning away from me.
“You want to talk now?” I asked, “Fine, I think Chad and his friends are bad news.”
Kyle shook his head and turned back towards me “You don’t even know them.”
“Well, neither do you!” I shot back “Not even two months ago those assholes were bulling you nonstop in case you don't remember.”
“I’m not that loser anymore,” he replied bitterly shoving past me to walk back to his new friends.
“Kyle don’t do this,” I replied, “you’re going to end up getting hurt.”
“JUST SHUT UP!” he snapped stomping back and getting in my face “Chad’s not going to hurt me, he’s a real friend that actually has my back unlike someone else!”
“Have they brainwashed you or something?” I asked, “Because the last time I checked real friends are not shoving other friends into lockers and shit like that.”
I must have struck a nerve because in flash he caught me off guard by shoving me hard to the ground and causing me to hit the back of my head on the sidewalk and was now standing above me with his hands balled into tight fists shaking with anger. I knew right then and there that he had changed and was no longer my best friend, he was someone completely different and I am not going to lie it scared me.
“You stay away from me!” he hissed
My eyes stung as I held back tears know how much he wanted to hit me…. “Aw, are you going to cry?” he mocked.
“No,” I lied.
“You’re such a baby,” he laughed “I don’t even know how I could stand being you friend in the first place?”
I tried to keep my tears from falling out but this only seemed to amuse him even more, he then knelt down leaning all his weight on to me and raised his left fist high in the air ready to strike. I swallowed hard as he brought fists down to my face but stopping inches from it.
“You’re not even worth it,” he laughed finally standing up straight and fixing his jacket and walked away. I sat up to watch him leave and I knew it was never going to be the same between us ever again. It hurt knowing he was just tossing our friendship out like it was a piece of garbage.

Chapter Text
Middle school flew and so did the first two years of high school, Kenny and I were still friends. Wendy and I were still in a relationship. I wish I could say that Kyle had gotten better over these past few years, but he had not. Now he was the leader of Chad’s gang, Cartman begged Kyle to let him join his gang but Kyle refused to let a fat ass in the group which pissed him off. Then Cartman turned around and tried to start his own gang but it failed because no one wanted to be a rival to Kyle’s. Then one day everything changed with Cartman when he became a star football player and became the most popular boy in school.
“Do you want to go see a movie Friday night?” Wendy asked as I grabbed my book from my locker.
“Sure,” I shrugged “whatever you want.”
She smiled before planting a tender kiss on my left cheek “I’ll see you later.”
I nodded and closed my locker watching her walk away “Hey lover boy,” Kenny greeted playfully punching me in the arm.
“Hey,” I greeted glancing over at him “what’s up?”
“I heard Tolkien is throwing a party Friday night and it’s going to be huge,” he explained “I’m talking wall to wall with chicks.”
“Sounds great but Wendy and I are having a date night on Friday,” I replied as we started walking towards our class.
He rolled his eyes “BORING!”
“Dude, it’s what couples do,” I laughed shaking my head.
“True,” he agreed “but couples can live a little and join their friends at said party and have the time of their lives.”
“A bunch of puke smelling drunk assholes sure sounds like a really awesome time,” I replied with a smirk.
“Whatever,” he sighed “if you want to miss out then that’s completely up to you.”
I shook my head “Like I said Wendy and I going out that night.”
“Fine,” he pouted “go and enjoy your boring ass date.”
“I will sure try,” I replied with a tiny grin
“And I’ll be sure to tell you all about the party and how much fun it was,” he laughed.
“I look forward to hearing about it,” I laughed back.
My first class was language arts and many of the kids I grew up with were in the same class, like Craig and Clyde and few others. I took my seat next to a girl that had been in mostly every single one of my classes since the fourth grade. For the longest time I for the life of me could not remember her name but noticed that she always wore a cherry hair clip, so I ended up calling her Cherry. She thought it was funny and even though I know her name now it kind of a joke between us.
“Hey,” she said smiling pointing at her cheek as I sat down beside her.
“Huh?” asked totally confused wondering what she meant.
“Lipstick,” she whispered just as our teacher entered the room.
“Shit,” I mumbled quickly wiping my cheek where Wendy had kissed me earlier.
“Good morning class,” our teacher Ms. Christine greeted “let’s start off this week with a pop quiz.”
Everyone groaned “Come on Ms. Christine,” Clyde whined “why can’t we ever start off the week just relaxing?”
“I’m sorry Mr. Donovan but that is not how this class works,” she replied as she began passing out her pile of papers that were in her hands. Just as the last paper was handed out her classroom door swung open and in walked Seth Dreyfus, he was just under Kyle in Chad’s group and was basically the muscle man. Whenever they wanted the shit beat out of anyone they sent in Seth to do the job.
“Nice of you to join us today Mr. Dreyfus,” Ms. Christine said handing him own test “now go to your seat.”
“Whatever,” he said walking over to the desk that was directly behind Cherry. “Hey babe,” I heard him whisper to her “when are we going to hook up?”
“Never,” she hissed back shaking her head and trying to focus on her test.
“Come on,” he said leaning forward in his seat and touching her right arm causing her to flinch away.
“Leave me alone asshole!” she shot back at him, but he paid no attention to her still trying to touch her arm.
“Dude, why don’t you leave her alone?” I asked facing towards him.
“Why don’t you mind you own damn business?” he hissed glaring daggers at me.
“BOYS!” Ms. Christine snapped “STOP TALKING!”
“Bitch,” I heard him mumble as he finally leaned back in his chair.
I was about halfway through my test when I felt something wet and sticky hit the side of my face. I brought my hand and wiped it off. Seth was laughing so I knew where it came from.
“A spit ball, really?” I asked turning back to face him.
“Okay, that is enough,” Ms. Christine said walking over to Seth “You and I are going to take a little trip.”
Seth smiled as he stood up holding his hands up in the air in defeat “Where are we going teach? Are you going to give me blow job?”
“NOW!” she snapped all red in the face.
All of us watched as she led him out of class…. “I wish they would just kick the asshole out,” Cherry whispered "I can't fucking stand him."
“They should,” I agreed.
After class Cherry walked with me to meet up with Wendy “Hi Makayla!” Wendy greeted using Cherry’s real name.
“Hey,” Makayla waved “well I better get going to my next class.”
“See you later Cherry!” I called waving to her as she gave us another wave goodbye.
“Stan, don’t you think it’s a little weird that you’re the only one that calls her that stupid nickname?” Wendy asked once she knew that Makayla was out of range.
“No,” I shrugged “why?”
“I mean people are going to start to think that you two are a couple instead of us?” she replied letting out a soft sigh.
“That’s dumb,” I said rolling my eyes “everyone knows we’re together and besides it’s just a nickname.”
“No, Stan listen,” she said stopping in the middle of the hallway and letting out a deeper sigh “you know her name, so why don’t you call her by it?”
“I think you’re overreacting.” I laughed gently taking her free hand into mine “besides it sounds weird when I say it.”
“Please Stan,” she begged “can you start calling her by her real name from now on?”
“Fine,” I replied not wanting to cause a big scene still not seeing what the big deal was in the first place.
“I love you,” she said happily before she gave me quick kiss on the lips “we better get to class.”
That class sailed on by and before I knew it was time for my next class. Wendy and I said our goodbyes and went our separate ways. I had just turned the corner when I heard a bunch of shouting. A part of me was curious to see what poor soul was going to get it, so I went to have a closer look. The closer I got I noticed that Seth was hovering over a trembling heap on the floor, I looked around at everyone and all seemed to be ignoring what was happening. The person on the ground made eye contact with me and all I could see was the fear in his eyes. I watched as Seth ordered him to empty out his pockets….
“Oh gee,” Butters stuttered as he quickly emptied out his pocket “but I need my money for my lunch.”
“SHUT UP ASSHOLE!” Seth snapped forcefully shoving Butters head to the ground.
“I’m going to be so grounded,” I heard Butters whimper as Seth grabbed what little bit of money he had from his hands.
I watched as Seth cracked his knuckles and brought back his fist “I hope you said your prayers last night because you are about to meet your maker.”
“You don’t want to do that,” I said stepping forward mentally scolding myself as I did so, Seth was the strongest kid in school and I had no fucking idea what I was doing.
Seth looked up at me and tilted his head “And why the hell not?”
I did not answer him but just stood there like a total dumb-ass.
“You trying to be a little hero boy? He smirked slowly raising to his feet showing me just how much taller he was than me.
I shrugged my shoulders “Not really.”
“Oh, I think you are and it is a very dumb thing to do,” he said making his way over to me.
“You already got his money so now why don't you leave him alone?” I replied knowing that Butters was the smallest kid in our grade.
Now I was face to face with him, I could feel him breathing down onto me. I knew he was going to do something, but it still caught me off guard. Seth used all of his strength to shove as hard as he could into the lockers behind me. I felt the metal handle press deep into my back as I made contact with it. With one hand holding onto my jacket and the other pulled back into a fist ready to pound my face in, I wondered why I even opened my damn mouth to begin with.
“Fuck you!” Seth hissed letting his fist go and slamming me right in the middle of my face.
Within seconds blood was running down my face from my nose “MR. DREYFUS!” a voice rang from the end of the hall.
‘Thank god,’ I thought as Mr. White our principle came rushing over with a pissed look on his face “MY OFFICE NOW!”
“We were just messing around,” lied as he let go of my jacket.
“NOW MR. DREYFUS!” Mr. White demanded.
Before walking away Seth whispered to me “This isn’t over fuck face.”
I waited until they were until they were out of sight before I walked over and held out my hand for Butters to take “Damn it Butters,” I said wiping my face with my free hand “why do you have to be such a pussy?”
“I was about to let him have before you got here,” he replied taking a hold of my hand.
I rolled my eyes as I helped him to his feet “Sure you were.”
“I really was,” he said dusting himself off and thanking me for helping him.
“Do me a favor,” I said patting him on the back “just watch your back from now on.”
He nodded “I will.”
I was late to my next class after stopping off into the bathroom to clean off the blood from my face. “Late I see Mr. Marsh,” the teacher sighed from behind his desk as walked in.
Mr. Sumton was a short bald and hefty man who was shaped like an egg but he was also the coolest teacher in the whole school. He let you listen to your headphones during tests if you kept it turned down low.
“Sorry Mr. Stumpy,” I smirked walking over to my seat
“It’s Sumton,” he corrected with a smile know that it was a gag between all the students and he was cool with it “we are so happy you decided to join us today.”
“I was helping someone out,” I explained.
He gave me the look that adults give you when they think you are lying before he cleared his throat “Please open your book to chapter 35.
I did as I was told and opened my book when the I heard the door open. Everyone looked up to see who had entered the room. My mouth fell open when I saw Kyle standing there and for the first time in a long time I took a good look at his face. His once round face was now thin and he had dark circles under his eyes. He handed Mr. Sumton a piece of paper and after scanning it over he nodded.
“Okay Mr. Broflovski,” he said “take a seat behind Mr. Marsh.”
Kyle turned away from the teacher and faced me, our eyes bet for a brief second before he walked right past me. When class was over I gathered up my things and stood up. Just as I was about to leave someone rammed into me hard causing me to fall forward.
“Jesus,” I breathed catching myself with my free hand and looking up to see Kyle standing on the other side of me with a wide grin.
“Dude, what the hell is your problem?” I asked as soon as we were out of the classroom.
“Fuck off!” he snapped shooting me an angry glare “I can’t help it if your fat ass was in the way.”
I studied his face before he noticed and turned away “What are you a fag or something?”
“No,” I quickly replied, “I was just wondering what happened to you?”
“Look Marsh,” he said bitterly “we maybe in the same class but you better stay the fuck away from me!”
“That’s fine by me,” I replied.
“Oh, and if I were you I would watch your back,” he threatened before storming off into the crowd of students.
To be honest I was scared of his threat because I knew what he was capable of doing. You remember Scott Malkinson? Kyle bullied him everyday until his family had enough and they up rooted their family and moved as far away as possible. Kyle had poor Scott trying to commit suicide on many occasions. I was not like Scott or Butters and I was not going to let a bully or bullies bully get to me.

Chapter Text
As Friday and the night of Tolkien’s party inched closer Kenny kept asking me to join him but I kept reminding him that Wendy and I were going out that night.
“I forgot,” he replied with smile.
“I’m sure you did,” I replied rolling my eyes.
“But dude come on, it’s going to be epic,” he said with wide eyes and a weird hand gesture “and you’re going to miss out.”
I was ready to repeat myself when my beautiful girl came skipping over “Hey babe,” she said cheerfully and wrapping her arms around me to pull me into a tight hug.
“Hey,” I replied hugging her back.
“I’m going to have cancel our date Friday,” she frowned gently pulling away from me.
“What…why?” I asked trying my best not look at Kenny who was almost ready to jump for joy.
“Because my mom is taking me on a girl’s weekend to a spa retreat,” she explained.
“Oh,” I sighed “well I guess we can go out next weekend.”
Wendy smiled before standing up straight and giving me a quick kiss “I knew you would understand.”
“Sure,” I replied
“Oh Stan, promise me you won’t do anything stupid,” she pleaded glancing back at Kenny who gave her a tiny wave and a head nod.
My eyes flashed over at Kenny who was shaking his head ‘no’ before I replied, “I promise.”
Her face lit up “I love you so much.”
“I love you, too,” I replied.
Then just as soon as she skipped over, she skipped away. “Dude, what the hell?” Kenny asked punching me in the arm.
“What?” I asked rubbing the tender spot on my arm from his punch.
“Why the hell did you promise that?” he asked.
“So, she knows she can trust me,” I explained
“She’s got you by the balls, you know that right?” he pointed out shaking his head “A man is allowed to have fun, too.”
I thought about it for a minute “Maybe you are right.”
He smiled “Of course I’m right.”
“Alright, I guess I’ll go but maybe I should ask Wendy first.”
His smile faded “There you go again,” he sighed rolling his eyes “she’s not the boss of you.”
“I know that” I replied, “but she’s my girlfriend and she needs to know she can trust me.”
“True,” he agreed just to shut me up “but what she doesn’t know won’t hurt her.”
“All of her friends are going to be there,” I pointed out “she’ll find out one way or another. It’s best I am honest with her, so she won’t be on my ass later about it.”
“Good point,” Kenny replied nodding his head “I did not think about that.”
“We better head to class,” I said pulling out my cell phone to check the time “don’t want to be late.”
“Right,” he said giving me a thumbs up “see you later.”
“Later,” I nodded before opening my locker to grab a couple of books. Just as I pulled my hand out of my locker it slammed shut. I turned to see Seth standing there glaring at me with fire in his eyes.
“Hey hero boy,” he taunted “how about we finish what we started yesterday?”
When I did not answer him, he quickly grabbed the front of my shirt stretching out the collar in the process, then like the day before he shoved me back into the lockers “How about I fuck up your face so bad that pretty little girlfriend is not going to want to look at you?”
“Okay Seth…that’s enough,”
I looked up to see Kyle standing there with his hands stuffed in his pockets and leaning up against the lockers on the opposite side of the hall.
Seth loosened his grip “Stay out of this Ky,” he replied refusing to take his eyes off of me.
“Know you place goddamn it!” Kyle hissed glaring at him
“Fuck you!” Seth growled back.
“I said no,” Kyle warned walking over and placing hand on Seth's shoulder.
Seth quickly let me go but not before using all his rage by slamming his fist into the locker right next to me. It was dented so badly that I was happy it was not my face “Whatever,” Seth hissed before walking away as if nothing had happened.
“Are you okay?” Kyle asked turning all his attention onto me.
I just stared back at him not knowing what to say. “I’m sorry about the other day in class,” he continued “but if you don’t want to believe my apology then I completely understand.”
“How do I know you are telling the truth?” I questioned “You haven’t talked to me in so long.”
Kyle’s face looked hurt “I know dude,” he replied “but I’m tired of this life. I want to get out of this gang.”
“So, why don’t you just leave it?” I asked not sure if I could trust him or not.
“I want to change my life around, you know?” He sighed “I just don’t know how.”
I was scared to trust him but what if was telling the truth? How would I look if I turned my back on him when he was crying out for help? Then again what if it was a nasty trap that I was walking myself right into? These were all questions that were running through my head a mile a minute.
“Well, we better get to class,” he said pulling me out of my deep though.
I agreed and the two of use walked to our class together in silence.
X00x0x0x0x0x0xx0x0x0x0x0
“Are you sure?” Makayla asked as we walked down the hall together to meet Wendy in between classes.
“Yeah,” I replied, “but I’m not really sure if I can trust him or not.”
She shrugged “I don’t know.”
“Don’t know what?” Wendy asked pushing herself in between Makayla and I to lean up against me.
“Kyle apologized for the other day, and he told me he wants to change,” I explained.
Wendy stopped and shook her head “He’s lying.”
“How do you know?” I asked, “I mean what if he does really want to change?”
“But what if he doesn’t” she asked, “People just don’t change overnight.”
“He basically changed overnight into what he is now,” I pointed out “he could be telling the truth.”
“Wendy’s right Stan,” Makayla agreed “he could just want to hurt you.”
“We were best friends before and how would I look if he was reaching out to me, and I did exactly what he said I did to him and turned my back on him?” I asked.
Wendy wrapped her arms around me in a tight hug “He’s not the same Kyle he was back then.”
“I know that” I replied hugging her back letting out a deep sigh
“Hi guys!” Kyle said happily as he came around the corner.
“Hi,” both girls mumbled not making any eye contact with him whatsoever.
“You don’t mind if I eat lunch with you guys today. Do you?” he asked eyeing both girls up and down.
Of course not,” Wendy lied “you’re more than welcome to join us if you want to.”
“Great,” he smiled before turning to face me “Wanna walk to class together?”
Wendy tightened her grip on me and whispered, “Be careful.”
“I will,” I replied giving her forehead a quick kiss before turning to Kyle and nodding.
I waved goodbye to the girls who both wore a worried expression on their face “Bye ladies,” I’ll see you at lunch.” The two of us began walking to our class together and at first it was a bit awkward with neither one of us speaking.
“I’ve really missed being your friend,” he said finally breaking the silence “I realize now that I was one the one shutting people out not the other way around.”
“Really?” I asked unsure if I could believe him or not.
“Things were really tough on me at home and shit just got way out of control,” he explained “Then Chad showed me how to deal with things differently.”
“Dude, you hurt a lot of people,” I said.
He stopped and hung his head in defeat “I know but now I want to make it right.”
A part of me wanted to believe him but there was that nagging side telling me not trust him. I knew was he was capable of doing and that is what scared me the most.
“How are you and Wendy doing?” he asked now trying to act like nothing ever changed between us “she’s really wild in bed huh?”
I looked over at him “What?”
He smiled at me “I mean I assume you and her are sleeping together.”
“Dude,” I said not wanting to talk about my relationship with Wendy with him at the moment. I quickly changed the subject back to what we had been discussing before he brought up Wendy “Do you really want to go back to the way things used to be?”
He stopped in his tracks and turned towards me and replied “Yes.”
“What about Chad?” I asked, “Won’t he be upset that you left his gang?”
“Well, the truth is we had a falling out and he banished me before he was arrested,” he explained
“He kicked you out?” I asked
He opened his mouth to say something, but I cut him off “But you told me you wanted out and just now you changed it and now you're telling me you got kicked out. Which one is it?”
“So, what now?” he asked raising his eyebrow “You don’t believe me? Are you calling me liar?”
I swallowed not wanting to make him angry, “Are you scared of me?” he smirked.
“No,” I lied “I’m not.”
“Are you sure?” he asked I nodded just as he stomped at me causing me to jump and him crack up laughing “Dude, I’m just shitting with you.”
I put on a fake smile and shook my head.
As we rounded the corner to Mr. Sumton’s class he asked, “What about that other chick you are hanging out with?”
“What about her?” I asked
“Do you have a thing for her or something?”
“No!” I quickly shot back “she’s just my friend.”
“So, so you think she would let me tap that?” he asked proudly.
I shook my head “She’s that type of girl,” I said.
“Any girl is that type of girl with enough persuasion,” he explained “and I could change that about her.”
I did not feel comfortable discussing this with him, I mean Makayla was my friend and I did not want to be used like that. She was a hopeful romantic who had the biggest crush on Kenny but was always to shy to ask him out. That is why I never understood why Wendy was so afraid of her and I hooking up because my relationship with Makayla was purely friendship, nothing more nothing less.

Class sailed by and soon it was off to lunch, Kyle followed me to the lunchroom where we got our food and found a table to wait for the girls and Kenny. “Hey,” Wendy greeted walking over and taking her seat next to me.
“Wendy,” Kyle said giving her a wide grin and a quick wink.
“Kyle,” she replied fixing her scarf around her neck as her cheeks turned bright pink.
“What’s with the scarf?” he asked as his smile grew wider
“I like wearing it,” she replied flashing him an uncomfortable look.
“It’s kind of warm in here don't you think?” He pointed out.
“It’s not hurting anyone if she wants to keep it on,” Makayla defended taking her seat across on the other side of the table “She can keep it on if that's what she wants.”
“Thank you,” Wendy replied with a tiny smile.
Soon Kenny joined and he was surprised to Kyle sitting with us, he took his seat next to Makayla where they listened to music and watched videos together. My lunch was extremely quiet for a change instead of Wendy talking about endless that I really had no interest in the first place. Like how her Bebe went to get their nails done or how they went shopping. Another thing she would gossip about was how Bebe and Cartman’s relation was going, like I really fucking cared about their love life.
“I heard you were going to the party tomorrow night,” Wendy finally spoke up
“Well, I was thinking about it,” I replied, “since you’re going away this weekend.”
She nodded “I don’t want to be the controlling girlfriend so I will allow you to go the party as long as you promise me that you will behave.”
Kyle looked up from his tray and smirked before excusing himself to go empty it off in the trash. “Wendy you should know by know that I would never cheat on you,” I said gently caressing her cheek with my thumb.
She smiled “I know but it’s not you that I worry about,” I watched as her eyes flashed towards Makayla.
“Why do you always think that her and I are going to hook up?” I asked, “I told you we’re just friends.”
“I don’t trust her,” she whispered
“So, then you don’t trust me either,” I pointed out.
She rolled her eyes “Oh Stan,” she sighed and shaking her head “it’s just all guys think with their dicks.”
“Whatever,” I sighed not wanting to argue this endless battle of stupidity, I ended up blocking her out the rest of lunch.
Kyle’s POV:
I watched from a distance as Stan and Wendy argued and I couldn’t help but to smile. I found it funny that he had no idea what was coming his way. I saw Wendy’s eyes flashed towards me again and I gave a small wave back, she knew I knew a dirty secret about her. I thought about Stan and how hilarious it was going to be when he found out, I almost felt sorry for him and all the pain he was going to feel.

Chapter Text
The first half of Friday dragged on and on as we waited for the school day to be over, and we could get ready for the epic party everyone kept talking about. Kyle was still hanging out with us, and it made Wendy uncomfortable, all she did at lunch was sit next to me and stare at him. I guess she was trying to read or something. At the end of the day I Wendy to her house where we said our goodbyes for the weekend.
“Have fun,” I told her giving her hand a gentle squeeze
“I will,” she said giving me a tiny smile “you, too.”
“Don’t worry,” I said trying to reassure her “I won’t do anything stupid.”
She nodded before giving me a quick kiss on the cheek “I love you.”
“I love you, too.”
I gave her a tender kiss before saying goodbye and leaving, I did not get very far when my cell phone rang.
“Hello?”
“Hey,” Kenny’s voice greeted
“What’s up?” I asked
“Oh nothing,” he replied, “I just wanted to call to say hey.”
“You’re a dork,” I replied rolling my eyes.
“Whatever,” he laughed “is Wendy with you?”
“No, I just left her house.”
“Cool,” he replied, “can I chill at your house until it’s time to go to the party?”
“Yeah, sure that's cool,” I replied shrugging my shoulders.
“Sweet,” he said cheerfully “see you in a bit.”
“Bye,” I said hanging up my phone.
I was almost home when Kyle stepped out startling me “Hey,” he smirked and giving me a head nod.
“Hey,” I replied back
“What are you doing?” he asked
“Just heading home,” I shrugged
“Do you mind if I join?” he asked, “you know like old times.”
I thought about it for a minute if he was really trying to rekindle our friendship, I couldn’t just say no could I? He stared at me making me feel uncomfortable until I nodded. “Cool,” he said as a wide grin formed on his face.
“So, how did you really get a free night from your chick?” he asked as we began walking towards my house.
“She and her mom are going to a girls only spa weekend,” I explained only to him burst out in a fit of laughter.
“Dude, she’s totally letting another guy bone her.”
“What? No, she’s not,” I defended.
“I bet you anything that she’s letting him pork her right now,” he laughed.
I felt my face burn with anger as he laughed at the fact my girlfriend would be cheating on me. Wendy was her mom not with some other guy. “Are you going to hook up with anyone at the party tonight?” he asked changing the subject from Wendy.
“No,” I replied, “I’m not going to that to Wendy.”
He scoffed and shook his head as we continued to walk “What about your other girlfriend?” he asked “Is she going to be there?”
“She’s not my girlfriend!” I snapped
“Whoa!” he exclaimed “Looks like someone needs to take a chill pill.”
“Hey dudes,” Kenny greeted from my front steps.
“Ken,” Kyle nodded
“Sup,” Kenny nodded back
I unlocked the door letting us in where both Kenny and Kyle went to go sit on the couch while grabbed a couple cans of soda from the fridge. Walking back into the living room I saw Kyle bring out a cigarette and light it.
“Dude, you can’t smoke in here”! I snapped
He smirked and rolled his eyes “Oh yeah, who says?”
“My parents,” I replied
“Like I give a fuck what parents have to say,” he laughed before taking a big in hale and blowing a big puff in my face.
I almost gagged from the smell causing him to laugh even harder “Fine,” he smirked “I’ll put it out.” Before I could stop him, he dropped the cigarette and smashed it into the carpet.
“Dude, what the hell?” I snapped
“Sorry,” he shrugged nonchalantly
I tried my best to clean up the fresh burn mark on the carpet hoping that my parents would not notice, Kenny helped by finding some air freshener and masking the smell. On our way to the party we stopped and met Makayla, she gave us a half smile before turning red when Kenny greeted her.
“Have fun!” her mom called from the front door “And Remember to keep your pants on!”
“Jesus Christ,” I heard her mumble as she walked ahead without looking back at her house. By the time we arrived the party was already in full swing with a bunch drunk teenagers and loud music and as I predicted it indeed did smell like puke.
“Hey Ken!” some random dark-haired girl shouted as she came rushing over and pulling Kenny away from us “Come dance with us.
Kenny happily joined the group of girls on the other side of the room without looking back. “Well,” I said venturing further into the living room “how about we get something to drink?”
Both Kyle and Makayla followed me across the room to a long table filled many types of non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks. Kyle wasted no time pouring himself a drink and taking a big gulp, I carefully picked out my poison and Makayla was on the fence on whether or not she should just have a soda.
“Why come to a party that serves booze just to have soda?” Kyle asked giving her a crooked smile “You need to live a little and be adventurous.”
“Well maybe I felt like getting out and hanging with my friends,” she replied, “besides, I don’t need to drink to have a good time.”
“Sometimes drinking isn’t just about having a good time,” he said staring down at his cup “but to help you forget what kind of fucked up life you have even if it is only for a little while.”
“Whoa, that was deep,” some kid said as he passed by.
About an hour into the party Kenny rejoined us with one of the girls hanging all over him giggling at every little thing he said even if it wasn’t funny. “I think we are going to go check out the pool,” he said.
“Have fun!” Kyle called raising his cup in a toast like fashion.
“I’m going to get another drink,” I said getting ready to leave.
“Wait,” Makayla said rushing to my side “I’ll go with you.”
“What don’t want to be alone with me?” Kyle asked with a wide grin “I don’t bite…much.”
She rolled her eyes “You’re not my type.”
“Why do you always hang around bitchy girls?” he asked
“I am not a bitch!” she snapped back before storming off towards the drink table.
“Be honest,” he said once she was gone “do have something going on with that chick on the side?”
“No,” I replied, “I’m in a relationship with Wendy and Cherry…I mean Makayla is a friend.”
“So, a friends with benefits type thing?”
I shook my head “Just a regular friend.”
Kyle’s POV:
I watched from my spot as Stan went to go refill his drink and I could not help but to smile thinking about how he was going to react when he finds out what Wendy does when they are not together. I could not stand seeing him happy. I felt nothing but anger towards him and he was going know it soon enough.
opopopopopopopopopopopopopopopop
Stan’s POV:
A few hours into the party I was sitting on the couch staring down at my phone screen waiting for a text from Wendy but she never replied.
“Hey,” Makayla slurred as she flopped down beside me.
She sounded wasted “Are you okay?” I asked, “Are you drunk?”
“No,” she giggled “I’m just tired.”
Then without warning she bent forward and puked all over the ground “Sorry, she mumbled before leaning into a hug and laying her head on my chest. Within seconds she was in a deep sleep “Shit,” I sighed trying to move myself out from under her, but she was dead-weight.
“So soft,” she whispered cuddling closer to me, I felt a tiny smile formed on my face as I carefully pushed a piece of her hair back away from her face and tucked behind her ear.
“What happened, your date fell asleep?” Kyle asked with a wide grin staring down at the past out girl cuddled up to me.
“Yeah, she did,” I replied softly
“I thought she said she wasn’t going to drink?” he smirked before noticing the puke spot on the floor “I guess some people can’t hold their alcohol.”
“Do you mind helping me lift her up?” I asked.
He shrugged his shoulders “You sure did not look like you minded having her there a few seconds ago, fixing her hair and shit.”
“Are you going to help me or not?”
“Fine,” he sighed rolling his eyes and helping to lift her up “now what?”
I found Tolkien and he said that she could use his room until she sobered up, Kyle and I carried Makayla upstairs to his room and placed her on the bed before returning downstairs to the party. I had a few more drinks until I started feeling dizzy and needing to sit down, I don’t remember much of what after that.
Notes:
I am going to try and post one more chapter before Tuesday because I am going out of town for a week and will not have access to my computer.
Chapter 5: Betrayal
Summary:
Chapter 5 is finally here! I hope you like it!
Chapter Text
The rest of the weekend was spent mostly hanging around home and doing nothing but playing video games and eating junk food. When Monday came around, I was hit with a lot of confusion, first when I ran into Kyle in the hall. I tried to say ‘Hi’ to him, but I swear I heard him mumble ‘Fuck off’ as he refused to look at me. Then the next thing was from Wendy who came storming up to me with a pissed off look on her face. “Hey baby,” I greeted smiling at her getting ready to hug her “how was your weekend?”
Her reaction was a hard slap across my face “Is it true?” she demanded with fire in her eyes as she placed her hands firmly on her hips.
“Wendy, what the hell?” I asked cupping my now stinging cheek “Is what true?”
“That you hooked up with Makayla at the party the other night?” she hissed
“No!” I quickly replied not knowing where she would hear something like that.
“Bebe told me that you had your tongue shoved practically down her throat all night,” she replied as tears appeared in her eyes "this is thanks I get for letting you go to that damn party."
“She’s fucking lying,” I quickly defended
“My best friend is not a liar,” she huffed trying her best to hold back her tears.
“Well, she’s making that shit up,” I replied, “because none of that ever happened.”
“And why should I believe you?” she asked turning away from me and sighing.
“Because I am your boyfriend,” I retorted, “and I love you.”
“Yeah, well all men are pigs!” she snapped “and if given the chance to cheat they will.”
“And I’m telling you I never made out with her, all Kyle and I did was carry her upstairs when she passed out,” I tried to explain.
She calmed down for a brief second before turning back around and bringing her hand back up to slap my cheek again “So, you slept with her then is that it?”
“Goddamn it!” I snapped back feeling anger surge through my veins, why did she not believe me? “I never said that and will you stop fucking hitting me, it hurts.”
“Hey guys,” Kenny greeted as he and Makayla came walking up together “how’s it going?”
“Now is not a good time,” I sighed just as Wendy turned towards Makayla “You whore!” she spat.
“Huh?” Makayla asked with wide eyes just Wendy made a grab towards her.
“Wendy stop,” I said calmly gently pulling her back
“Who the hell gave you the right to hook up with my man?”
“Whoa,” Makayla said calmly taking a couple of steps back “I don’t know what you are talking about.”
“You just couldn’t wait to get Stan alone and sink your claws into him, is that it Bitch?”
“I would never hook up with Stan,” she replied looking completely hurt by her comments, “he’s your boyfriend and one of my closest friends for God’s sake.”
Without warning Wendy broke free from and lunged forward and grabbed a good chunk of her hair “Dude,” Kenny said as his eyes grew wide ready to watch the two girls start fighting. “LET GO OF MY HAIR!” Makayla snapped trying to free herself from Wendy’s grasp.
“Wendy,” I said pulling her away again “why don’t we go talk about this somewhere else?”
“Why are you always defending her?” she snapped shoving me away.
“I’m not,” I sighed “but I think you are overreacting because nothing happened between us.”
Wendy looked at me and shook her head “Stan how could you do this to me?”
“Looks like you two have a lot to talk about,” Kenny said taking Makayla by the hand and pulling her away with him “and for the record Wendy all Stan did at the party was drink and sit on his ass on the couch all night.”
Wendy let out a sigh as she turned and walked away from me “I got to go.”
“Wendy wait!” I called after her “I love you!”
“I know,” she replied without looking back.
At lunch she sat with her friends and did her best to ignore me even Makayla thought it would be best if she sat somewhere else only leaving Kenny and myself. I sat staring down at my tray of food picking at trying to think of ways to get Wendy to believe me when a loud bang pulled me out of my thoughts, I looked up to see Kyle had joined us and had slammed his tray of food down on the table. “I got another damn detention!” he snapped as he sat down across from me. I said nothing and went back to playing with my food “Dude, you are better off letting her cool off a bit before you try to make things right again,” Kenny said trying his best to cheer me up “and besides she never said she broke with you right?”
I shrugged my shoulders and sighed not really want to talk about it “I wouldn’t worry about her,” Kyle said before taking a bite of his food and glancing back at Wendy who was now looking over at our table with a worried look on her face.
After lunch Wendy stopped me in the hall “Stan I’m sorry,” she whispered, “I overreacted earlier.”
“Wendy I…” I started to say but she quickly stopped me by gently placing her lips onto mine and giving me tender kiss “Let me make it up to you this weekend.”
“How?” I asked
She gave a tiny smile and said, “I’m sure we’ll figure something out.”
The rest of the week she acted like nothing had happened between us and she apologized to Makayla for thinking that her and I had hooked up, though Makayla was still hurt by being accused of she kindly accepted Wendy’s apology. This weekend my parents we going out of town leaving me alone at least for the night so when Friday came around my mother informed me that she was leaving money for me to get a pizza or whatever I wanted to have for dinner. I said my goodbyes to them as I waited for Wendy to come over but she never showed. I texted her to see where she was at, but I received no response. I let out a sigh as I dialed the number to order a pizza. Once the pizza was ordered I noticed that she had finally texted back, my heart sank when I read it. :Not feeling good tonight babe, let’s reschedule:
:Okay: I texted back
:You’re the best babe:
I tossed my phone onto the couch beside me and waited for my pizza to arrive, not long after it arrived that I noticed the sound of loud music playing and what sounded like glass breaking outside our front door. Getting up from my spot I walked over to the door to see what the hell was going on, when I opened it I was met with a smiling Kyle and a couple of other kids that I recognized from his gang.
“Hey dude,” he greeted holding up a bottle before taking giant gulp from it.
“Are you guys throwing beer bottles at my door?” I asked looking down at the shattered glass all around the doorstep.
“Are you guys throwing beer bottles at my door?” the kid to Kyle’s right repeated in a mocking tone before the three of them started laughing.
“Believe it or not I came here to ask you something important,” Kyle replied before taking another sip of his drink.
“What’s that?” I asked staring at him.
“Just wanted to know how your date is going?” he asked with a crooked smile.
“We had to reschedule,” I explained “Wendy was feeling sick.”
The two kids behind Kyle exchanged looks before he asked, “Why don’t you come across the road and join the party?”
I looked at the two guys behind him as they both stared at me “Come on Stan,” Kyle said motioning for me to come with him, "it will be fun.”
Closing the door behind me and following him and his two friends across the road to his out I was hit with a nasty surprise the moment I walked in. I felt my heart sink when I saw Wendy busy making out with another guy. When her eyes met mine she stopped and gently shoved the guy away “Stan it’s not what it looks like,” she said.
“It’s not?” I asked hearing my voice crack from feeling hurt by what I had seen “What it is then?”
“Relax Hero boy, we only do this when you’re not around” the guy she had been making out with said.
I knew right away who it was and it only made it hurt more as I saw the look on Seth’s face as he held my girlfriend tightly around her waist pulling her closer to him. “And let me tell you something,” Seth continued to gloat “your girlfriend’s pussy tastes so….” I never let him finish what he was saying because a flash of anger came over me and before I could stop myself I had balled up my fists and punched his nose.
“You little shit!” Seth snapped as he wiped the tiniest drop of blood from his face and grabbing the front of my shirt “I’m going fuck you up so bad.”
“Wait!” Kyle shouted stepping in between us “You can’t fuck him up.”
“Look what he did to my face!” Seth hissed pointing to his nose
Kyle rolled his eyes and shook his head “Will you let me finish? What I meant to say was you can’t fuck him up in here because my bitch of mom will be upset if we get blood on the damn carpet.”
Everything happened so fast and before I had a chance to react two kids grabbed me from behind and pulled me back outside where Seth slammed as hard as he could in my stomach knocking the wind out of me and giving him the perfect opportunity to shove me to the ground where he punched me a couple times in the face. Kyle stopped him and held out his hand to me to take but just as I was about to reach for it he pulled it back and poured the rest of his drink on me. His friends laughter filled the air as I quickly got to me feet and hurried back to my house. “Come on Stan!” I heard him call after me “We're just having a little fun.”
Once inside my house I locked the front door and went to the bathroom where I started cleaning the blood from my face feeling nothing but betrayal.
Chapter 6: Hurt
Summary:
Here is Chapter 6.... Stan feels hurt about what happened.
Chapter Text
The next morning my eye had darkened up nicely and the split in my lip had scabbed over, I am not going to lie my face hurt but not as much as my heart. How could she cheat on me with that asshole? I could feel my anger returning as I replayed her kissing him over and over in my head. Then there was Kyle who I knew I should never had trusted to begin with but stupidly did and look where that had gotten me. The way he laughed when Seth knocked me to the ground and slammed in the face a couple times. Whoever he was now was not even close to who he was when we were still friends, I guess I had to find out the hard way. My phone buzzed pulling me out of my thoughts, grabbing it off my nightstand I saw that it was text from Wendy.
:We need to talk about last night:
I ignored her text and turned over in my bed facing my window, I did not want to hear what she wanted to say right now. No, I just wanted to lay here in the comfort of my room and be by myself. It was late afternoon that my parents returned home and I heard them discussing the broken glass that was still on the front doorstep but it wasn’t until I heard my mom was putting some of my laundry away did she realize that I was even home.
“Stanley why are there broken beer bottles all over the front steps?” she asked in a stern tone.
“Some drunk assholes threw them at the house last night,” I replied turning over and facing her.
Her face immediately changed from pissed off to concerned the moment she saw my face “Stanley what happened?” She asked quickly making her way over to my bed to examine my face up close.
“I confronted them about it,” I replied not wanting to tell her all the details.
“My poor baby,” she said softly as she gently caressed my cheek before pulling me into a hug
“I’m fine mom,” I said giving her a reassuring smile.
She smiled and nodded “I’m going to go make you your favorite dinner.”
After she left I laid back down and stared at my ceiling until someone knocked on my door, thinking it was my mom again I told them to come in but I quickly regretted it when Kyle came walking in.
“Hey,” he said nodding towards me
“What the hell do you want?” I asked sitting right up as fast as I could to face him.
“Don’t hurt yourself,” he laughed
“Get out of my room asshole!” I hissed
He put on a hurt expression “But Stan I thought we were friends?”
“Yeah, years ago,” I replied, “but not anymore.”
His eyes flashed towards me “You have to admit that it was kind of funny. You looked so fucking pathetic.” He laughed holding up his phone showing me the video clip he had on his phone of Seth hitting me in the face. “You’re lucky Seth was in such a good mood last night because if he wasn’t you would have been fucked.”
As I watched the video clip brought my hand up to my cheek feeling the heat in it “Aw, does it still hurt?” he mocked and rolling his eyes “You’re such a fucking loser.”
“GET OUT!” I snapped finally getting to my feet and facing him balling my hands into tight fists.
“Fuck you Stan!” he hissed back getting right into my face
“I said get out,” I repeated shoving him out of my face.
He stood there glaring at me for a few seconds before he raised his hands above his head as he backed out of my room and said “Whatever you say boss but this far from over between us.”
As I watched him leave, I wondered how it became so bad between us when I would try my best to comfort him after his dad left and Chad’s gang bullied him to the verge of tears. The day after his dad left they cornered him and mocked him about everything. I found him hiding behind one of the school dumpsters wiping his eyes.
“Hey,” I said sitting down beside him
“Hey,” he said back as his voice cracked and without looking up at me.
“Chad’s just being an asshole,” I said patting him on the shoulder “he’s just pushing your buttons.”
He sat there for a minute before saying “I fucking hate that guy.”
“I know dude,” I sighed “he’s a real dick.”
We sat there in silence watching the buses until the last one left and then I stood up and offered him my hand “Do you want to come over and play xbox or something?”
“No,” he replied ignoring my hand as he got up and shoving his own hands into his jacket pockets “maybe another time.”
“Alright dude,” I said as we began our walk home.
I walked over to my bedroom window and looked out at the exact moment Kyle turned towards it giving me the finger.
Monday morning I was greeted with a folded piece of paper falling out of my locker, I quickly bent down to pick it up and read it.
Please we need to talk and I know you are not answering my calls or texts but Stan it is really important that we do.
Xoxo Wendy xoxo
I crumbled the note and tossed it back inside my locker then slammed it shut, I did not feel like talking to her. The loud slamming caused a few unwanted stares from the others and them pointing at my now extremely dark cheek and eye.
“Dude,” Kenny said as he and Makayla came walking down the hall to meet me like they always did so we could walk to class together.
“Are you alright?” Makayla asked with a worried look on her face “What happened?”
“I don’t want to talk about it right now,” I quickly replied as I hurried past the others to meet up with them.
She gave me a tiny smile and a quick head nod letting me know that she understood and not to pressure me into a thousand questions. “Where’s Wendy?” she asked looking around for her.
I shrugged my shoulders but stayed quiet as her and Kenny exchanged looks “She’s one of the things I don’t want to talk about right now.”
Kenny opened his mouth to say something but Makayla hushed him “You don’t have to say anything if you don’t want to but Kenny and I are always here for you,” she said sweetly as we made our way to our first class.
I made it all morning avoiding Wendy but she managed to stop me on my way to lunch “Stan, please we need to talk.” She said blocking my way.
“We have nothing to talk about,” I replied.
“I did not mean for it to happen,” she explained “I was just supposed to tutor him that’s all.”
“The last time I checked tutoring did not involve hooking up with someone,” I quickly replied, “You fucking hurt me, do you know what it felt like seeing you with him?”
“I’m sorry,” she whispered as a couple tears rolled down her cheeks “please forgive me.”
I shook my head “I don’t know if I can right now.”
“Stan,” she said taking my hand into hers “please.”
“I got to go,” I said pulling my hand out of her reach and walking away. At lunch I sat in silence just poking at my food while Kenny and Makayla talked to each other and every once in awhile one of them would try to include me in one of their conversations but I would just shake my head or shrug my shoulders.
“How about after school we all go see a movie or something,” Makayla suggested.
“Yeah…sure,” I agreed not wanting them to think that I was shutting them out.
She smiled “then maybe after we can grab a bite to eat.”
“I don’t get him,” Kenny said nodding towards the table Kyle was sitting at along with Seth and a bunch of his other friends “first he wants to sit with us and be our friend again and next he’s back over there with those assholes.”
“Who knows,” I replied before picking up my tray of food and throwing it away, walking past Kyle’s table without even looking at them. I could feel their intense stares as I passed by. I tossed my food into the trash and turned to head back towards my table when Seth got in front of me, the room grew silent as Seth stood there daring me to make my move.
“You know what’s funny hero boy?” Seth asked cracking his knuckles trying to scare “Is how you stood up to help someone but do you think any of them would help you?”
“I can’t believe you never figured out that your girlfriend was cheating on you with me,” he continued to taunt me as a couple of friends got up to join him while Kyle just sat at table smiling watching. “Didn’t you ever wonder why she was always wearing that scarf? You should have heard the way she moaned when I sucked on it.”
“SHUT UP!” I snapped trying to get that new formed image out of my head. I wanted nothing more than to push past him and rejoin my friends across the room, but I knew that is what he wanted me to try and do.
“Fight…fight… fight…” I heard some of the other kids start to chant.
Kyle looked at Seth and nodded, Seth smiled before slamming as hard as he could into a nearby table. Instead of landing on top of it he made sure to trip me at the exact moment to where the arch of my back hit the table’s edge. It was definitely going to leave a nasty bruise; I could hear some kids laughing as Seth pushed harder knowing how much it hurt.
“STOP!” I shouted somehow shoving away but only having him retaliate by punching me as hard as he could in the nose, within seconds it was bleeding badly.
“I told you no one was going to help you,” Seth gloated as I tried to wipe away the blood the best I could. Looking around I could not see Kenny or Makayla thanks to the others who had gathered around to see a fight, but I could hear them as they tried their best to get to me. By the time they reached me Seth and the others were gone, Makayla and Kenny walked with me to the nurse’s office where I was told to lay down and relax until my mom came to pick me up because thanks to that asshole, I now had a broken nose. So instead of going to the movies my friends came over and we watched a movie MAX.
Chapter 7: Break up
Chapter Text
“Dude, I can’t believe you got Seth suspended.” Kenny said the next day at school.
“Yeah well, he deserved it,” Makayla added, trying to give me a reassuring smile as we walked down the hall together.
“Wendy hooked up with him,” I said, feeling the hurt in my heart as I said those words “that’s why she was always canceling our dates lately.”
“What the fuck?” Kenny blurted out “Shit, I'm sorry dude.”
“Sorry Stan,” Makayla replied, giving my right arm a gentle touch “that really sucks.”
“Yeah,” I nodded “it fucking hurts like hell.”
“How could she do that to you?” Makayla asked “you didn’t deserve that.”
As we approached the lockers I noticed Kyle was leaning up against mine with his hands shoved in his pockets with a pissed off look plastered on his face. The moment our eyes met “Fuck you Stan!” he snapped standing up straight and facing me “I can’t believe you did that dick move to Seth, he was only messing around with you. You took the coward's way out because you’re a fucking pussy.”
“Screw you Kyle!” I snapped back feeling Kenny put his hand on my shoulder for support.
“Stan,” I heard Makayla in a worried whisper beside me.
“If I were you I would really watch my back,” he said slowly walking towards us “because Seth is beyond pissed at you and I don't blame him.”
“What happened to you?” I asked “Why did you stop being my friend? What did I ever do to you?”
Kyle’s face softened for a split second before he shook his head and said “Anyway I wanted to apologize for everything, I have been really stressed lately with everything going on in my fucked up life.”
“Are you serious right now?” I questioned looking him up and down.
“I totally understand if you don’t want to forgive me but I am truly sorry and I hope that one day you can forgive me,” he explained again changing his expression to a hurt look “I know I need help but I’m scared to do it on my own.”
“How do I know you are telling the truth?” I asked “You lied and stabbed me in the back already, so how do I know this time is any different?”
He looked at me and shrugged his shoulders. “You don’t have to believe me, hell even I wouldn’t believe me but I am truly sorry for what happened to you.”
“I don’t believe you,” I said, stepping back away from him and watching his face go dark “FINE!” he spat “THEN DON’T FUCKING BELIEVE ME, I DON’T GIVE FUCK!”
“Dude Kyle, why don’t you just calm down,” Kenny said, stepping in between the two of us.
Kyle laughed and shook his head “What are you going to do Kenny? Are you going to get your ass beat for this asshole?”
“You’re the only asshole here!” Makayla snapped from right behind me.
Kyle then turned towards her and said with a smirk “You think I’m an asshole?”
“I do,” she replied, glaring at him.
“If you say so,” he shrugged, “but you two would be a hell of a lot better off dumping Stan as a friend, I know I am. He only cares about his own problems and no one else's.”
“That’s not true!” I quickly defended “You shut me out first and then turned your back on all of us.
“He’s right,” Kenny agreed “you distanced yourself away from everyone.”
“Whatever,” Kyle replied, rolling his eyes before turning his focus back at me “I know deep down you want to hit me, so go on and hit me. I dare you.”
“That’s where you are wrong,” I replied with a heavy sigh “I don’t want to fight with you.”
“Well, that’s too damn bad!” he snapped grabbing my jacket but instead of pulling away like I should have, I brought back my and slammed across the face.
“Shit,” I mumbled as the sounds of the hallway grew so silent that it felt unnatural. Everyone in the area had turned their attention to us and made me feel uneasy.
“Motherfucker!” he hissed glaring at me with fire in his eyes as he held the side of his face “I’m going to fuck you up!”
Before anything happened Mr. Stumpton came walking down the hallway “Shouldn’t everyone be heading to class?” he asked.
Not wanting to get in trouble all the students quickly scattered just leaving the four of us, Kyle continued to glare at me before saying “This isn’t over,” and walking away.
“I can’t believe you hit him,” Makayla said as soon as he was gone “Stan he’s going to hurt you.”
“I can’t believe you had the balls to do that,” Kenny said in amazement “but she’s right he is definitely going to be coming back for revenge, you really pissed him off.”
Looking down at my fist I replied “I know but I couldn’t stop myself, it was a sudden reflex.”
“But you did exactly what he wanted you to do, you fell into his trap.” Makayla added as I quickly stuffed the things I did not need into my locker and grabbed only what I did need before closing it and heading off towards our own classes.
Kenny waved goodbye as Makayla and I continued on our way. “Kyle’s changed so much through the years, we were the best of friends.” I said aloud “Now I don’t even recognize him anymore. He’s so far from being the person that he used to be and I wish he never had changed.”
“I know,” she replied, giving me a soft smile. “Maybe someday Kyle will realize how much he has changed and turn himself around for the better.”
“Maybe,” I replied, returning her smile as I opened the door to our class and allowed her to enter first.
The rest of the day went by pretty smoothly and it wasn’t until the end of the day did Wendy finally came up to me and tried apologizing to me again “Hi Stan,” she half whispered holding out her hand “I got you a little something.”
I could tell that she had been crying just by how messed up her makeup was. “That’s okay,” I replied, refusing to take whatever she had in her hand.
“Please,” she begged “I know you are upset but we can work this out if we just talk.”
“How?” I asked “How can we work this out?”
She stood there silently staring at me “I can't get the fucking image out of my head of you with your legs wrapped around that asshole making out with him!” I hissed
“Stan, calm down,” she whispered not wanting the whole school to hear our conversation.
“Why should I calm down?” I snapped “I have every goddamn right to be pissed! You were my girlfriend!”
“Were?” she repeated “Does that mean you want to break up?”
I thought about it for few seconds before replying “Yes,”
“Please Stan,” she cried “I love you, don’t do this.”
“If you loved then you never would have cheated on me to hook up with Seth,” I replied sadly feeling my heart rip into a thousand pieces “I just don’t understand why you did this.”
“You want to know the reason why?” she asked
“Yeah,”
“I was afraid that I was going to lose you to someone else,” she replied, “and it was a mistake.”
“I feel like such an idiot,” I told her “because all those times we had planned our dates and you cancelled them at the last minute was just so you could be with him. Didn’t you ever feel guilty lying to me?”
“Every single time,” she replied, lowering her head and starting to cry. “I’m sorry I hurt you, I really am.”
“Goodbye Wendy,” I said turning away from her and leaving.
Word quickly spread across the school and by the time I made it to the buses everyone knew that Wendy and I had broken up. “So, you broke up with Wendy?” Kenny asked, taking his seat next to me on the bus.
“Yeah,” I nodded looking out of the window, “but it hurts like hell.”
“Congratulations on breaking up with that skank,” Cartman said as he entered the bus, I was surprised he even said anything to me because he hadn’t in a few years since he became popular.
I said nothing as I continued to stare out of the window until I got home where I just wanted to be alone for the rest of the day.
Chapter 8: Beaten
Chapter Text
It had been a little over a week since my run in with Kyle and so far he had done nothing but avoid me and my friends, all he did was glare at me from across the room whenever we were in the same room at the same time. If looks could kill I would probably be dead by now from all the daggers he glared at me, I knew deep down that he was waiting for Seth to come back after his suspension was over to come after me and that's what scared me. I knew Seth was going to be beyond pissed at me for turning him in and was most likely planning to hurt me one way or another. Then there was Bebe and her snarky remarks about how better off Wendy was because of how much I had broken her heart after I broke up with her. I did my best to ignore her and her comments as I still tried to get the image of Wendy and Seth making out in front of me out of my head. Kenny and Makayla tried their best to keep my mind off it as much as they could by distracting me but it was no use and no matter how hard I tried my mind would always go back to it. One afternoon after school I saw my mom and Kyle's mom talking in the driveway and for some reason my mom had a worried expression on her face.
"How's Kyle doing?" my mom asked as she entered our house
"I don't know," I shrugged "why?"
"With his mom's treatments and such," she replied giving me a hurt look.
"Is she sick?" I questioned bringing my eyes up to meet hers.
She nodded and told me everything Kyle's mom had just told her about how she was getting ready to start chemo and how lucky they were to catch her cancer early on. "That's good at least," I said glancing in the direction of Kyle's house as if I could see it through our walls.
"Why don't you go talk to him?" my mom suggested motioning her head towards our front door.
"We're not really friends any more," I admitted sadly knowing that I was the last person he wanted to see right now.
"Kyle is going through a lot at the moment and I am sure he could use a good friend just about now," she replied.
As much as I wished it were that simple I knew Kyle had changed and that he no longer wanted anything to do with me unless it involved me getting my ass kicked or something worse. My mom had not seen the look he gave me when I punched him in the face just like he had wanted me too, there was nothing but hate in them when he made his threat about wanting to fuck me up. "I just don't think it's such a good idea right now," I told her with a heavy sigh before finally turning to make my way upstairs to my room.
"Whatever you think is best Stanley," she said in a disappointed tone as I walked away from her.
Once in my room I could begin to relax and not feel pressured into something that I knew would end badly, as much as I wanted things to be different between Kyle and myself I knew it wasn't. The Kyle that I had once known was gone and all that remained was this new improved Kyle according to him and he was perfectly happy with himself for it. Kyle hated me the most out of every other student in school and I had no clue as to why, I know the night I found out Wendy was cheating on me he had planned seeing Seth kick my ass and if I hadn't escaped when I did then I would have been hurt more. I remembered the look on his face and how much he enjoyed the moment I was knocked to the ground and punched hard in the face by Seth and how he pretended like he was going to help me up only to pour the rest of his beer all over me. I ended up staying in my room most of the night only coming down when it was dinner time eating and then going right back up to bed.
The next day I mostly stayed around home until I got a strange text from my mom asking me to pick something up from the store for her, which I found kind of odd because before she had left she never mentioned anything about it but I shrugged it off as maybe she had forgotten. I put on my jacket and hat before making my way out into the early evening air, I placed my hands in my pocket and began walking down the sidewalk in the direction that would lead me to the store. Once I purchased the item I started my way back home but I did not get very far when my way was blocked by none other than Seth and a couple of other kids from Kyle's gang. Seth a wide grin plastered on his face as he stood before me waiting for my next move "Hello Hero Boy," he greeted before he punched me as hard as he could right into the pit of my stomach causing me to fall forward and onto my hands and knees. "GET UP HERO BOY!" he demanded as the two other boys that were with him pulled me back up into a standing position and began dragging me down along with them until we were alone and away from everyone on the main street.
"Hey Stan," Kyle greeted stepping out from the shadows with a crooked grin "I told you Seth was beyond pissed at you and that you were going to get fucked up."
"Kyle?" I questioned feeling my heart beating against my chest "I'm sorry."
His face changed for a brief second as he walked towards me getting something shiny out of his own jacket pocket "Fuck you," he said coldly before he brought his fist back and slammed the side of face so hard that I was knocked to the ground, as a reaction my hand quickly covered the side of my face. "Shit Ky," I heard Seth say "Those brass knuckles really busted up his face already."
"I know right!" Kyle laughed "Now fuck him up."
"KYLE'S POV:
I stepped back and watched as my former best friend got the shit kicked out of him really for no reason except that I just could not stand him and I found it funny seeing his reactions whenever Seth punch or kicked him. He kept trying to say sorry to me as if I cared or that was going to get me to call off my gang, by the time Seth was finished I could tell how weak he was but it was his own fault for not fighting back to begin with, he no longer looked the same. With one last swift kick to Stan's side Seth was finished leaving him badly beaten and in need of help....

Kyle's POV:
As I made my way home after leaving the guys I couldn't help but to think about everything that had happened tonight, the reaction I had gotten from Stan the moment my fist made contact with the side of his face. The way he covered his cheek as it started to bleed and how his breathing increased from the pain and the fear, I knew that it had completely caught him off guard and that is what made it so perfect. As my house came into view I noticed Stan's mom rushing to her car all in tears before driving off and I couldn't help but smirk, the moment I walked into my house my own mother was waiting for me. "Stan is in the hospital," she said sadly and gave me a disappointed look "Kyle I pray you had nothing to do with it."
When I did not answer she shook her head "I don't care," I said in a cold tone as I walked past her "I'm sure that asshole deserved it."
"How can you say that?" she asked "Stan used to be your best friend."
"Yeah, used to be my friend," I replied in an even colder tone "and now I don't give a shit about what happens to him."
She shook her head "Kyle I'm very disappointed in you."
"I fucking don't care!" I snapped before turning around and walking right back out of the house not wanting to hear anything else she had to say. "Dumb bitch," I said under my breath as I hurried down the sidewalk letting my feet carry me to anywhere but there. Once I was far enough I slowed down and let out a heavy sigh as I finally looked down at the fist I had used to punch Stan and noticed the smudges of dried blood still on my knuckles. I knew deep down that Stan really did not deserve what had happened to him tonight but he should not have pissed me off by trying to act all high and mighty like he was better than me, if had he been a better friend to me years ago then maybe things would be different between us now. Even though looking back now maybe I was the one closing everyone else out of my life because of how worthless I felt when my dad left and Stan was always by my side trying to interact with me but I chose to ignore him and instead feel sorry for myself. Shaking my head I told myself that "Fuck that, Stan did deserved to have his ass kicked tonight and that I was not going to feel bad about it at all."
----------------------------------------------------------------Stan's POV--------------------------------------------------------------------------
I woke up in the hospital not remembering how I even got there in the first place, the last thing I remembered was being knocked to the ground and getting the shit kicked out of me. My mom was by my bedside with her eyes all red and puffy from crying. "Oh Stanley," she sobbed before giving me a gentle hug "my poor baby boy."
It felt good to be comforted by her when I was in so much pain and as much as I wanted to reach up and hug her back but my arms still felt extremely weak and heavy "Mom," I whispered in a shaky raspy voice that sound unlike mine. I felt her hand squeeze tightly onto mine and her face lit up but I could still see the sadness in her eyes as she bent forward placing a tender kiss on my forehead. "Rest Sweetheart," she told me before sitting back down in the chair next to my bed. I nodded closing my eyes once again but not really resting, I took in a deep breath but had to stop short because of the pain from being repeatedly kicked in the ribs, the side of my face where Kyle had hit me first was busted up along and extremely sore as well as with a few fractured ribs and a broken wrist. The look of satisfaction on Kyle's face when Seth and the other two knocked me to the ground replayed over and over in my head and how I cried out when I felt my wrist snap from falling on it wrong. Seth's laughter was still ringing in my ears as I lay on the ground looking like a pathetic little boy too scared to fight back but what would be the point when I was clearly out numbered in the first place?
"Why don't you fight back Hero Boy?" Seth mocked as he towered over me
"Yeah Stan," I heard Kyle laugh "why don't you be a man and fight back?"
When I did not answer them that's when Seth kicked as hard as could into my side "Fight back you fucking loser!" Seth hissed through gritted teeth. When I still refused to fight back I was kicked a few more times before Seth yanked me up onto unsteady feet then shoving me as hard as could making sure I hit my head and that is when everything went dark and I woke up in the hospital.
==================================
I ended up staying the hospital for a couple of days with Kenny and Makayla coming to visit me one of the days which ended up causing Makayla to get tears in her eyes and start to cry from seeing how bad I looked now that all my cuts and bruises had darkened up. "Hey, I'm going to be alright," I told her trying to give her a tiny reassuring smile.
"I know," she replied wiping away a couple tears that were sliding down her cheeks "it's just you look like you are in so much pain and I don't like seeing you like this."
"Dude, you look like shit," Kenny said in a playful tone trying to lighten the mood
"Dude, I feel like shit," I replied trying to adjust myself to sit up so I could talk to them better.
"Is it okay if I give you a hug if I'm careful?" Makayla asked wiping away the tears on her cheeks.
My smile widened as I nodded "Yeah, I would love a hug."
She slowly bent forward and very carefully embraced me in a gentle hug, as her hims wrapped around me I couldn't help but to want more as I one of my own arms up to hug her back. "Do you remember who did this to you?" Kenny asked "Was it that fuck wad Seth?"
"Yes," I replied
"That asshole needs to put in his place," Kenny said bitterly.
"I reported everything that happened to the police officer last night," I explained letting out a slight sigh.
"Good, I hope he gets arrested," Makayla added "because this is total bullshit about what he did to you."
"Was Kyle involved?" Kenny asked sadly
When I did not answer Kenny knew right away and just shook his head "I can't believe him," he said "that's so fucked up. I mean we grew up together and shit and for him to involved in this is such bullshit."
"Kyle is going through a lot right now," I replied sadly
"That's no fucking excuse," Kenny quickly added
"When are you coming home?" Makayla asked changing the subject when she saw how angry Kenny was starting to get.
"I should be going home tomorrow," I replied "which I can't wait to home in my own comfortable bed."
"You're not going to miss the hot nurses?" Kenny asked quickly calming down and giving me a quick wink.
Before I could answer him my mom entered the room "Hi kids," she greeted my friends before focusing all her attention on me "How are you today Stanley?"
"Sore," I replied as she made her way over to me to give me a kiss on the forehead.
"Well we should get going," Makayla said "Kenny and I have a lot of homework to get done."
"It was good seeing you guys," I said as they made their way towards the door "thanks for visiting."
"Anytime," they both replied giving me a quick wave.
Mom stayed all the way until visiting hours were over and I was alone the rest of the night which honestly I really did not mind because I could finally get some rest. They next morning I was released from the hospital and got to go home where I get even more rest in the comfort of my own bedroom. My mom made sure I was comfortable and took the next few weeks off from work as I recovered. As far as I was told that only Seth had been arrested and was waiting to go to court but I knew that Kyle was not going to get arrested because I had never mentioned his name to the officer when I filed the report, my friends were the only ones that knew he was involved.
Notes:
Sorry it took a while to update and that it is a shorter chapter. I am going to working on the next chapter soon.
Chapter Text
Over the next few weeks Makayla and Kenny would stop by after school to see how I was doing, everyday I felt a little better than the day before so I guess that was a good sign. Even though my body was slowly healing I still couldn't help but feel nothing but hurt and betrayal by my former best friend. As much as I tried to not think about what had happened it was hard not to hear the sound of him laughing at me and to see nothing but hatred on his face and his eyes. When I tried to apologize to him when I had done nothing to him to begin with at all because that is what my mind told me that is what he wanted to hear for some reason. "What do you Ky?" Seth asked grabbing a hand full of my hair yanking my head back "do you forgive Hero Boy?" Kyle's expression darkened as he stepped forward and replied coldly "No, he can go to hell." Seth and the other two shoved me to the ground hard causing me to land on my right wrist wrong and breaking it.....I shook my head trying to bring myself back to the present and not relive what had happened over and over again. "Stan, are you alright?" Makayla asked when she noticed my far off stare.
"Yeah," I replied letting out a heavy sigh before giving her a reassuring smile "I'm fine."
She smiled back before taking a hold of my left arm and softly cuddling close to me before lowering her head onto my left shoulder. "Can you believe that Seth is already out of jail?" Kenny asked taking a seat on the other end of the couch "his parents bailed his ass out."
"But he is under house arrest and not allowed to leave," Makayla quickly added
Can we talk about something else?" I asked not wanting to talk about Seth any longer.
"Of course," Makayla said sweetly before suggesting "how about we order a pizza and have a movie night?"
Kenny shrugged his shoulders "Sounds really cool but I got to get going, I have a hot date tonight."
"A date?" I repeated
"Yeah with Claire from algebra 2," he replied.
"Wouldn't want to keep you from your date," she mumbled down low sarcastically.
"All right then Dude," I said "we'll catch you later."
"Yeah, for sure," Kenny nodded as he made his way towards the front door leaving just the two of us sitting on the couch alone. "Well, we can order pizza and have a movie night together if you are still up for that?" I pointed out.
Makayla sat up and gave me a quick smile "I can't imagine spending a better Saturday night than that."
I returned the smile "How are you feeling by the way?" she asked as her eyes made their way towards my still bruised cheek. "I am starting to feel a little better," I replied making complete eye contact with her.
"Good," she replied turning her face away from me slightly trying to hide what looked like a blush "I'm glad to hear that."
Seeing her blush like that made me feel nervous "Um....how about we order the pizza?"
"Sounds good," she agreed
We both decided on a pepperoni pizza and to re-watch The Avengers movie, as we waited for the pizza to arrive we sat in silence both not sure what to say to one another. Truth be told this was the first time we had actually been alone together, we were always in some class or had Kenny around but this was different for some reason. "I'm just so happy you're alright and doing better," she finally said looking down at her hands on her lap. "I don't know what I would do without you, you are my best friend Stan and you mean a lot to me."
I turned slightly to face towards her "You mean a lot to me too," I admitted. When she brought her eyes back up to meet mine I could see some tears in them ready to slip out onto her cheeks. "You did not deserve what happened to you," she said softly bringing her one hand up to wipe away a couple tears that had just escaped out of her eyes.
"Don't cry," I said leaning towards her and giving her a reassuring hug.
"I can't help it," she whispered as she hugged me back.
As we pulled away I don't know why but I felt this sudden urge to kiss her and before I could stop myself I leaned forward again this time gently placing my lips against hers. I could feel her stiffen up for a few seconds before she relaxed and kissed me back. "I'm sorry," I whispered feeling embarrassed at what I had just done and hoping that I had not just ruined our friendship. She smiled at me then leaned in bringing her lips to mine again. The sound of the doorbell caused the two of us to jump and to quickly pull away "That's probably the pizza," she said standing up and walking towards the door. After paying for the pizza the two of us put on the movie and sat down to enjoy it cuddled up together on the couch.
