"I've been modelling for House of Bakugou for as long as I can remember. I think one of my earliest memories was on set, being told to play with Kacchan. He bit my cheek! I guess old habits die hard ahaha!"

"I don't think anyone was surprised we married young. I've known him literally my whole life, and our parents were really supportive. We always knew we'd end up together. Why wait?"

"Oh, I loved that article! The one Hero Weekly did for hottest bachelors. He looks so good on it! Honestly I think my husband was more upset that people didn't know we were married. It's not like we were keeping it a secret? He's a lot more active now on social media. I'm glad he's opening up to his fans."

"Growing up as PWQ (Person Without a Quirk) was tough, not gonna lie, especially before Japan's Anti-Discrimination Laws. School was hard. It would have been worse if it wasn't for Kacchan. He always protected me."

"Fashion for me has always been about expressing who you are, and embracing what makes you unique. I'm quirkless. That's who I am. But that's not all I am."

"What's next? Well, [House of Bakugo] has been wanting to branch out further into the cosmetics and beauty side of the industry. It's honestly been a huge transition for me personally from being just a model to one of the creative directors for the makeup line. The music video starts off with the band's name coming out of a photocopier as the intro guitars play.

You're making a choice to live like this

In all of the noise I am silence

Katsuki is a journalist working in an office set in pre-quirk Japan. The costuming and set up of the scene is decidedly vintage. There's a filter that makes everything look a little pastel, trying to set the tone for a softer nostalgic aesthetic. 

The camera peeps over Katsuki's shoulder where a newspaper sits bearing the headlines, "Hero Flashfire Sparks Hope". The cover photo is a burning building. In the depth of the flames you can see the silhouette of a man running towards the fire.

From the corner of the screen, Izuku is seen, peering from his own desk. He's wearing an ugly brown sweater and square glasses that do nothing for his face. His curls are a messy, brushed out cloud atop his head.

With a frustrated look, Katsuki roughly shoves his chair back and stomps towards his boss's office. Through the glass that separates the boss's office from the rest of the floor, Katsuki is seen arguing with the man until finally his boss slams sheafs of papers down as he berates the journalist.

izuku gets up from his desk and drifts closer towards the door. Katsuki emerges, glances at Izuku before ignoring him, passing by without acknowledgement. The hand that Izuku had raised to reach for Katsuki's shoulder hovers in midair before retreating back to his side. The camera closes up to Izuku curling his fist.

The scene cuts to later in the day, when the rest of the coworkers are leaving for lunch in a group. Izuku lifts his head up and opens his mouth as if to say something, but they pass by without glancing at him. He hunches in his seat. The camera cuts to a wide angle of Izuku eating lunch at his desk alone.

Katsuki smirks as he enjoys his lunch in the cafeteria with his coworkers. The distinction is clear what the social hierarchy is. Katsuki is handsome and well-liked, and Izuku is obviously a weirdo.

The scene cuts to later that night.

Katsuki has a corner of his apartment dedicated to uncovering the identity of Flashfire. The camera hovers over close ups of the mysterious hero Flashfire, who dresses in teal spandex and covers his face with a mask that vaguely resembles a rabbit. There are headlines that reads: "Flashfire Hottest New Superhero", "Flashfire Saves 57", and "Musutafu Fire Extinguished by Resident Hero". There are maps that triangulate his location, interviews from civilians. Somehow Flashfire lives in the same city as Katsuki and yet the superhero has evaded him for years.

Across the city, atop of a building, Izuku straightens up from his perpetual slouch, takes his glasses off and reveals the teal costume he wears underneath his button down shirt. He takes a running jump before he leaps and parkours through his city.

Scene change. it's a flashback from when Katsuki first started working as a journalist. He's got his hair styled back neatly, but it's unraveling as he chases after Flashfire through alleyways. They reach a dead end and Flashfire slowly turns towards him. 

Katsuki puts his handheld voice recorder on and shoots him questions. Flashfire comes closer, uncovers his cowl and–

–steals a kiss.

I run in the dark looking for some light

Katsuki wakes up.

The office is dark. Katsuki sits up from sleeping at his desk with a jacket that's not his own draped over him. Tch. There's only one person who wears elbow patches to the office, and it ain't Katsuki.

He exits his office building and it's dark out, but there's a rumbling on the earth that makes the pebbles on the ground jump. Like huge, approaching footsteps.

The next scene pans across the city as a huge godzilla wannabe monster razes through buildings and roads.

The camera follows Katsuki as he shoves his way through the crowd towards the scene. There's chaos and destruction everywhere. In the midst of it all, Flashfire is a bright green blaze in the air, hovering by the monster, trying to stop it.

Katsuki's nearby now. He clutches his bag closer to himself. Something feels strange though. He puts his hand inside of the dorky tweed jacket and pulls out a tie pin.

Change scene to the same flashback from before. Flashfire kisses Katsuki for half a breath before making his getaway. Once safe, he opens his palm and in it is Katsuki's tie pin. He smiles gently, smitten. He's wearing a mask so the camera can only catch a glimpse of cute bunny teeth.

Back to the present, Katsuki clutches the tie pin in a fist and renews his effort to get to the hero.

Flashfire's efforts are for naught. The monster is heading straight for the city center. None of the deployed pre-quirk military technology can get through the creature's tough skin. It swallows a bomb, and for a moment they think it works, but it's too small. They'll need something bigger. Much bigger.

Katsuki shouts Flashfire's real name and the hero turns. The moment of distraction causes him to be whipped aside by a giant tail into the ground. Katsuki reaches him and holds out a hand. The camera focuses on their hands.

Let me tell you why

I would die for you

They share a meaningful look between them. But the moment is broken when the monster roars, reminding them of the present danger. With his cowl down, Katsuki can see that Flashfire, no–Izuku, has a grim, determined set to his mouth. He looks contemplatively at the monster. 

Katsuki mouths, "No."

And it's still so hard to be who you are

But you've come this far and you're broken

Izuku takes his mask off, giving it to Katsuki. With this one act he bares for all to see–superhero Flashfire was mere flesh and blood too. And Katsuki had the answer to the question that burned his brain since that day years ago: Why was Flashfire both so strange and familiar?

The scenes flash through several interactions they've had over the years: near misses with Flashfire, almost-conversations with Izuku.

Katsuki places the tie pin in Izuku's hand.

Izuku smiles and mouths "I love you." Then he turns around and flies into the air, the fist curled around the pin raised towards the sky.

The song ends with a close up of izuku's face. His stoic facade breaks as he begins to weep. Then his face relaxes into a peaceful smile, as he accepts his impending death.

The last shot is Katsuki's side profile as a flash of green lights up his face, and a lone tear rolls down the corner of his eye.

DYNAMIGHT TOOK OVER CHARGEBOLT’S LIVE ON INSTAGRAM I AM DECEASED

There’s chaos as the camera is fought over. Ultimately Katsuki wins, walking away from a Chargebolt being pulled back by Red Riot.]

"Where was I?

"So I'm 15 years old, gettin' ready for UA entrance exams, right? I’m busy as shit. Training in the morning, then lessons in the afternoon, passed out early in the evening. I’d usually spend my summers running around with Deku but my schedule just never seemed to let up. Deku has his own thing going on, he usually takes on modelling gigs during the summer 'cause, duh, no school. So I'm not seeing him for days maybe weeks at a time.

“Then when I wasn’t looking, he just went and achieved twunk status.

“Alright back up. You guys remember Takoba Beach? It’s pretty now, but it used to be a trash park, up until the community decided to clean it up. That beach had been shit since before Deku and I were alive, but since I couldn’t hang out, Deku decided he might as well volunteer when he wasn't working.

“So that's what he'd been doing that whole summer. Hauling junk. For charity. What the fuck. Who does that? I'd help from time to time, it was the only time I saw him. But damn. Deku? He’s lucky he didn’t get tetanus, that boy. Pretty boy. Jeezus, it’s like a switch flipped, or I just hadn’t seen him that long, but when I saw him again, he was ripped.

“And he was still cute and babyfaced. He was still just my dumb Deku, but he had? Abs? I saw him heave this rusted ass junk that weighed the same as me and. And my brain exploded all over the goddamn sand.

“Freckles. All over. He was shirtless like 80% of the time. Had to slather sunblock all over that stupid pretty skin. Oh my god. I died. 

“When my mom saw him again post-glowup she was like, what the fuck, I need to add this kid to the summer collection. I didn’t want her to! I was angry as shit. But if you asked me, I couldn’t tell you why, it just pissed me off for some reason–Deku and I fought about it, because I was being a shit about it, and we didn’t talk for a week, and somehow that hurt worse than if I got my heart exploded all over again.

"The shoot happened anyway, and I saw the raws. And I was pissed, but then I was also proud, because fuck yeah, look at my pretty boy modelling the hell out of our clothes. And I realized that shit like this made Deku happy, and I wanted him to stay happy, and he was so cute when he was happy.

"And I wanted to be the reason he was happy.

"Anyway I told my parents I was gay for Deku, and they were like, we been knew since you were three, Katsuki, anyway do you want some extra rice? What the fuck? Most anticlimactic coming out ever, 0/10. 

"The fuck are these comments? Y’all have shitty dads. I’m your dad now. You wanna come out of the closet? Oh, you’re gay? We been knew, chucklefuck. Now sit down and do your homework or your other dad will be disappointed."
