Summary:

Like the title say, some drawings inspired by the webcomic Stand Still and Stay Silent.

Notes:

I wanted to share some fanarts of my favourite comic. Some warning may be add at the top of the chapter.

Chapter 1: Fanart 1 : Reunion

Here is another version of my first fanart. In the first version, we could't see the whole scenery and Emil's clothes were differents. Two reasons for theses changes :

- in the first version, Emil was wearing his clothes from the real world (the black shirt without the cute little tie) while Lalli was wearing his dreamwolrd clothes, because I wanted to let think the 2 characters didn't have a true connection despite they were dreaming together. After re-reading (for the five time) the comic, I saw that connection actually existed in the original work, through some little gestures the two of them shared, and that was not an one-sided relation from Emil (or love or friendship).

- in this version, it's easier to recognize the pontoon from their shared dream on the quarantine boat. For me, it is really indicative to see Lalli on a bridge (next to the water but linked to the land, from where friends come), and to compare that dream with Lalli's usual space (an isolated floating platform in a lake). I read that as the proof the characted evolved after the last part of the expedition, and I really liked the comic for that kind of details.

Chapter 5: "It's fine, it doesn't really matter"

In this timeline, they overslept and went later in the moutains. In this timeline, it rained earlier and now it's a nice late afternoon and they can stay together as long as they wish.

I hope you will like this little fanfic comic. It is a scene I originaly wanted to draw for my own comic, with two original characters, but life is short and days are long, and I don't kwon if my story will go so far. So I want to give it to this webcomic and its fandom as a present.

 

 

 

Chapter 6: Farm mages

Hi ! I had this idea after reading the part of adventure 2 when Lalli speaks about his village during his childhood dream. He tells Emil and Reynir that Onni and Tuuri are on another island, helping at the farm.

For me, this scene takes place after the end of adventure 2 : it is spring, nearly summer, and Reynir choose to stay with Onni (I don't know where are the others, maybe in another mission, maybe in Sweden, maybe at Sigrun's home). There is no room for worthless mouth to feed, so they will help for the harvest and taking care of the flocks. I could be so funny if they discover they have that skill in common ! Will Reynir make peace with farm magic ?

By the way, the dog with them is a Finnish Lapponian Dog (I'm trying to be subtle here), a breed traditionally used for herding reindeers.

Chapter 7: After the final battle

This idea came from a prompt I read on Pinterest : after a living hell, the two soulmates meet again and hug each other. And why not ? Lot of things happened in a really short time and the nigth was really stressful. Lalli and the two others mages won their final battle against the Kade, told goodbye to Tuuri and Ensi, spoke to the god of death... And Emil and the others spent the night running from Surma and the bears, unable to tell if their friends were alive.

Also,  do you remember that guy who almost ran into a building on fire because his friend was still in there ? Would it be surprising this guy could be a little relieved to see this same friend is alright ? I miss the emotion from the first adventure.

Here are two drawings of zombified creatures who were used as models for Firenope's fic, an Adventure 3 story for the comic Stand Still and Stay Silent. They are not canonical Trolls but I took my inspiration from the monsters we can see in the original work. I also add under this a portrait of Gustav, another character from Firenope's fic. Gustav is a cute cate who like to sleep in comfy places and a nice mage made him a warm stone just for him. Nothing wrong will happen to Gustav.

A sequel for Farm mages 1 : what if Onni and Reynir had to help together with the summer harvest ? Onni looked a little upset on the previous piece (and Reynir looked too much happy for his grumpy companion's mental health), so I couldn't let him go without a return match. Seems someone has trouble with wainting quietly !

Summary:

This one was a little experimental cause I wanted to illustrate Emil's diary (from the fanfic Dalsnes by Firenope) during the Tyssedal episode. I hope you will like it.

For the brave ones who went this far and are not sure of what they just read, this work is the representation of a diary written by Emil for himself, during the Tyssedal expedition. The crew and some other original characters are caged by some kind of ghosts and are living the same day in a loop, with no memory they are here for several months. Possessions and misunderstandings are included.

This guilty pleasure has been inspired by the scene page 124 where Emil had to explain why he was carrying explosives into civilian quarters. Somehow, the comment section started to speak about hair and I didn't need more to imagine out Emil making explosives with haircare products.

I wondered what Tuuri could had felt when she had seen the mess between Onni and Lalli, and for me it was impossible she didn't have something to say about it. It must be actually hard to keep moping around about someone's death when the person is in front of you and tell you she's okay and that your are an idiot.
