Chapter Text
“This guy looks like he has multiple quirks, yet he still wants mine?” Detective Tsukauchi said, with a mixture of fear and confusion.
“Yes Detective, he is simply known as ‘Masquerade’ and claims he can take and give quirks” one of his officers replied. Tsukauchi desperately wanted to call All Might. A man with the same quirk as him was appearing after being defeated 6 years prior by All Might, if he didn’t he wasn’t a true friend to Yagi. Tsukauchi wiped the sweat from his brow, still wondering if this man was telling the truth.
Then something unexpected happened, a few bubbles blew in from his open window. Tsukauchi thought nothing of it until he heard a loud explosion and was launched from the building.
There, while on the ground, he noticed a man in a a dark green pinstriped suit. His shirt was black and he wore a slightly lighter green tie, and had long dark green hair which looked greasy and stretched down to his shoulders. Then he saw something which made his heart sink, he wore a mask.
But not just any mask, a half mask you would see in a movie. It had metal curls which went in every direction, but still had some form of order. In a way, they resembled feathers. It was a dark green colour once more, with red rims around his black sclera’d eyes.
He walked up to Tsukauchi, before starting to hum a rather positive tune. This only served to scare Tsukauchi more.
“Well well well, what a surprise Tsukauchi.” Said the man, standing just above his head “You should’ve just accepted your fate and surrendered yourself to me, would’ve saved all of your colleagues.”
The man then proceeded to launch more of the explosive bubbles towards the police station, which completely collapsed the entire building. Tsukauchi gasped in shock, before staring at the monster in front of him.
He tried reaching for his gun holster, but the man stamped on his wrist, shattering it. He recoiled and screamed in pain.
Then the man crouched down and grabbed Tsukauchi’s face, grabbing the warmth which laid in his mind.
“You just needed to give up, Tsukauchi. Your quirk is so useful in my line of business. Lie detection and perfect lying really helps me.” Tsukauchi screamed as his head felt like it was on fire, and then his mind went blank.
“Thank you for that Detective. I hope you never need to suffer again.” He said before letting out a large smog of blue gas. Tsukauchi couldn’t fight it as he drifted into a nightmare filled sleep. The last thing he saw was the darkest green on the man, his eyes, glaring at him intently…

Izuku Midoriya was going to be late. He had overslept for the third time this week and Aizawa was going to kill him if he was late again or worse, expel him from UA.
“Midoriya, look out!” Someone with blue hair yelled in the distance, before Aizawa finally caught him in his scarf.
“Problem Child, how are you late for the third time this week?” The homeless looking man in front of him said with more than a little annoyance, “Did you change your sleep schedule or something?”.
Midoriya proceeded to stutter out an answer “N-No Aizawa Sensei, I just haven’t been able to sleep at all recently.”
Aizawa sighed, “I haven’t slept right in the last 30 years, yet I’m always partially on time. What’s really happening here?” Aizawa knew something was wrong, but Midoriya couldn’t tell him.
It was his second semester in UA, and he still wanted to be a hero but… he needed to please his grandfather. Izuku’s quirk is Telekinesis, an incredibly powerful version of it. But that wasn’t all, he had 2 quirks at birth.
He had Telekinesis and his grandfathers quirk, but his father never had it, he was quirkless. All for One was his grandfather’s quirk, and it was an odd occurrence for the quirk world. It allows the wielder to take, use and give quirks from other people. Only he and Mina knew about the second quirk. In fact, Mina wasn’t even supposed to know. Se found out when she caught him using some of “his” other quirks.
“It’s nothing Mr Aizawa, I swear.” Izuku said, activating Lie Master so he could get out of it.
“Uhh, fine kid, but remember you can’t keep a burden on you for too long” Aizawa groaned before getting into his sleeping bag and moving away like a caterpillar.
Izuku exhaled, thankful that Aizawa didn’t use Erasure on him. Izuku then started picking up the pace, even levitating with Telekinesis for extra speed. Finally, he arrived at his class. 1-A was written above the extremely large door. Walking in, Izuku sighed.
“Ah Young Midoriya! I never thought I’d see the day you were late! HA HA HA!” Bellowed All Might towards the new comer.
“Of course, it’s Hero Training today” Izuku thought, spitting out each word, “If only I could just take One For All and get this all over with.”
Probably the two most powerful people in the world were sitting the same room, but did All Might know that? No, but he probably could still annihilate Izuku with one , maybe two punches if he’s lucky.
“My apologies All Might, I had a bad nights rest and nobody woke me up.” Izuku lied, activating Lie Master.
“Apology accepted my boy! We were just about to discuss how well you did in the last exercise! You captured everyone apart from young Todoroki and young Bakugou!” All Might yelled at a decibel level previously unheard of by man kind.
“That was because Todoroki was knocked out by Bakugou. Then Bakugou was taken out of the exercise for attempting to keep on fighting him” Izuku reasonably said, “I doubt I could’ve beaten Todoroki, but I could’ve defeated Bakugou in seconds if he-“. Izuku was then interrupted by a Pomeranian looking child.
“OI YOU DAMN NERD I WOULD’VE ABSOLUTELY DESTROYED YOU IF YOU EVEN WENT NEAR ME!” The Pomeranian from across the classroom shouted.
“Now, Now young Bakugou. It wouldn’t surprise me if you were evenl-“ All Might was cut off, “SHUT IT OLD MAN I COULD DESTROY YOU TOO” Bakugou shouted again, this time with even more rage and a scowl which could scare villains to death.
After All Might started to criticise Bakugou, he took a small amount of distain towards his idol, but not enough to taint his true feelings towards him.
“You can do the chores in your dorms for a day after that performance Bakugou” Aizawa said, erasing Bakugou’s quirk just in case, “Now calm down and you might not get any more chores.”
All Might cleared his throat, clearly a little annoyed that Aizawa was interrupting him during his lesson. “Anyway, we’ve already began to choose your hero names, we currently have Real Steel, Froppy, Pinky, Ingenium 2, Tail Man, Invisible Girl and Grape Juice and many more. Now we’re only waiting for Bakugou to choose a less violent name, and Midoriya to choose his-“ All Might was interrupted again, “Actually I chose mine.” Izuku said, shocking most of the class.
“And what would that be my boy?” All Might asked. “My hero name will be… The Psychic Hero: Soul Master.”
“That’s so manly!” Tetsutetsu yelled out before muttering and murmuring erupted from the classroom.
“That’s quite interesting Young Midoriya! Any particular reason you want this name?” All Might asked inquisitively.
“Of course All Might. People always called me “The Psychic” in middle school, and people always used to say that psychic abilities are an extension of your soul. And since I am a master at my Telekinetic powers, I thought Soul Master fit well.” Midoriya muttered in a way which a lot of people couldn’t even understand.
“That’s a lot of thought my Boy! Good job, you will be a fine hero one day!” All Might said, sounding like a proud father. Izuku sighed, he may have been trained by him but that didn’t mean that he liked him. Of course, he didn’t mind being trained by the oaf, but it’s just… he can’t even talk like a normal person in that cursed muscle form.
Izuku shuddered at the thought of the man outside of the muscle form. His side was practically missing, a skeleton which looked like a strong gust of wind would stand there as well.
Izuku muttered something under his breath, “Wait until what me and grandfather have planned in Tokyo”. It’s all that kept him sane after all.
Who was Izuku without his “friends” after all?
