Chapter Text
Enid was almost getting fed up with it. Emphasis on almost.
Wednesday Addams, her roommate, is currently typing on her typewriter, and Enid is getting a headache from the repetitive sound.
"Wednesday!"
The girl stopped typing immediately, turning to Enid.
"Yes?"
"Can you stop typing for a second please? I'm starting to get a headache." Enid grimaced, laying her head back on the pillow.
"Sure. I apologize for the inconvenience, is there anything else I can do for you? Bring you water, tea or some healing potion?" the brunette asked, her eyes softening.
This is what Enid was talking about.
Wednesday has been completely obsessed with her since they met, but in a strangely respectable way. She had mentioned something about a family curse that made her fall instantly and madly in love with whomever the curse chose.
If Enid asked, Wednesday would follow her around like a puppy forevermore. She knew that and felt a bit pressured, despite the other girl saying that she would only follow what Enid said and nothing else.
It was kind of scary, to be honest.
All of her friends were aware of the situation, and so were some of the random people at school. Some even told her to take advantage of the situation, as the goth would literally do whatever she was told, but Enid wasn't like that. She would never force another person to do anything for her.
"Enid? Are you okay? Do you need me to call the nurse? Although I think I could do better than those amateurs, I don't know if you'd be comfortable with that." Wednesday said after a while without answers and Enid realized she had spent too much time thinking.
God, Wednesday was so sweet in a way
"No, Wednesday, it's okay. Thank you." Enid smiled and put on her headphones, knowing how uncomfortable Wednesday was with loud music, even if she didn't say so.
Wednesday looked at her for a while longer, but refrained and turned to her typewriter, tearing out the half-written page and placing it on a pile of papers. Enid warned her that she was uncomfortable with too long stares.
Wednesday didn't tell her parents about her crush on Enid, not yet prepared to say that she would probably die, as Enid didn't seem to reciprocate her feelings. Enid didn't know about this part of the curse, obviously, the brunette didn't want her to worry about it and make an impulsive decision.
The shorter girl sighed and got up from the chair, going to the bed and laying down on it. She wasn't going to sleep, she wasn't sleepy, she just wanted to think about her life choices for a while.

She slept.
Enid realized this the moment the girl began to snarl and growl, probably being plagued by the nightmares she was so fond of.
It was kind of cute, actually. Enid got up and silently went to Wednesday's side of the room, covering the girl with her black blanket. She looked at the girl's face for a moment, dark red scales starting to show at the edges of her face. It was beautiful.
The moment was interrupted by a loud ringing of the cell phone.
Shit
Wednesday's eyes snapped open, the irises an amber yellow and the pupils extremely thin slits, like a cat about to pounce.
She was looking directly at Enid.
Enid quickly turned around and grabbed her cell phone, answering it and turning her back so she wouldn't see the other girl's reaction.
"Enid?" A voice sounded in the background and she almost turned around, thinking it was Wednesday, but then she remembered the cell phone to her ear.
"Hi, Yoko. Do you need anything?"
"Jesus, Enid, what makes you think I would call you just to ask for something?" Yoko looked upset, but Enid knew better.
"You always call when you need something." she scoffed.
"I just wanted to ask if you wanted to come over to my dorm to gossip with the girls, but since you don't..."
"Wait, now? It's 10 pm, Yoko." Enid refuted, forgetting about the previous situation.
"And? Tomorrow is Saturday, we won't have school. Come on, you can call Addams if you want."
Enid thought for a few seconds. It would be nice Wednesday to meet new people.
"Okay, we'll go." Enid finally said, ending the call. When she turned to tell Wednesday the news, she broke away with the goth very close to her. She stifled a scream. "Wednesday! You scared me!"
"My apologies." The girl walked away. Enid was able to look at her face calmly now and saw that the scales were gone and her eyes were now normal.
"So Yoko wants us to go to her dorm. I thought it would be nice for you to socialize, you know?" Enid said with a small smile, hoping that Wednesday would accept the offer.
"I completely understand, Enid, but some things are impossible for even me to do. I can come to keep you company, but I don't know if I can meet your expectations."
"No, no, I don't have any expectations! You do what you feel comfortable doing, nothing more." Enid explained.
"I don't feel comfortable doing anything but being with you." Wednesday said with smitten eyes, the two tips of her tongue sticking out at the end of the sentence.
"Okaaay, so we're going to Yoko's!"
