Cursed by Circumstance (Y/N x Kars)

Summary:

There was a time Pillar Men roamed the Earth, beings of a higher power who couldn’t bear the strength of the sun. Those who feasted on the blood of those weaker than them. You were there during that time, ignorant of their existence, or too delusional to think those fairytales existed. That was until you encountered four of them, and you died following this discovery, but for reasons unknown.
Your body was discovered, concealed away in a place much like the other Pillar Men, and who was it found by, you of course. A new you, one born thousands of years later during a archaeological dig, one to have been cursed and blessed once again by the knowledge of the Pillar Men following an article published by the Speedwagon Foundation on their existence and how it has been handled. A new found rekindled connection.
At least it was less dangerous at the start, was until a meteor struck Earth, and a returning threat stumbles into your life once again with a whole new intention in mind.

Chapter 1: Prologue

Chapter Text

A/N: Hello Hello! Thank you so much for wanting to read Cursed by Circumstance as it's going to be my first official work here on A03 since moving over from Wattpad. If I'm able to I can move my older works from there and refurbish them here sometime soon, until then, enjoy! ♡

Warnings : Mentions of Imprisonment, Slave Trade,

It was hard to really explain the events in which happened that night, there was more to comprehend then just a measly little murder. It was dark, cold, and the biting metal which nearly embedded themselves into your wrists and ankles. The smell of rust and metal blended sickeningly well with the blood which splattered the floor. Men, who once held you prisoner by sheer force and belittled pride laid dead by you, shriveled and their mouths agape in fear, not a sound having had escaped. Your eyes weren't on him anymore, instead at the blade which seemed to quickly disappear in a flash of reflective light into an arm of a burly and toned arm. The further you looked up, the more you could pick out from the savior, or new found enemy.

Flesh, skin, and the faintest amount of clothing which blended into the darkness and moonlight in a purple violet hue, eyes of the same color only brighter, filled with a lust for blood. Hair in wild and crazy whisps, a lions mane. He was coated in pride, one which he earned you could tell, and never took. He hadn't spotted you yet, if he did he didn't make it aware to you.

"This place will do for now." He spoke, he turning towards the door in which he had entered from as three other men in likeness of him followed.

"Yes Lord Kars." The three spoke in perfect unison.

"You'd think those Hamon users would have been easier to lose, they're persistent." The one named Kars spoke.

Hamon? Users? You had no idea what they were talking about, and that made your heart race. That meant someone was coming to save you, these murders wouldn't stand a chance! If they didn't find you first.

"The humans here aren't Hamon users, the ones I did find went down without much fight. There were woman downstairs, and their throats were slit. This must be a trading spot, and those in charge must have realized they weren't doing a good enough job, half of them were starved to death." Another one spoke, he having shorter blonde hair which towered up from his head.

You were getting more and more terrified as each word left the strangers lips, all you could do was blink and not make a sound in hopes they'd leave and you could find a way to escape. But those dreams shattered the moment a red haired male turned his head just enough to find you, and within another blink he was before you, gripping onto your jaw and pushing your head to the sides, up, down and around. As if inspecting you. The other three slowly walked up onto the scene and kept their eyes locked.

"A human, all the way up here." The blonde haired one spoke.

"I'm surprised to see them alive, much less conscious." Another hand reached for your hair and entangled into the strands, pulling you off the ground and into the air. You scratching his wrist, trying to pry his hand off to let you go. It stinging your head and causing you to tear up. No words left your mouth, just grunts and cries of discomfort.

"Drop them Esidsi." An without question it was done, a harsh yelp of pain leaving your lips as your hand held your head, where the pain hurt the most.

"Lord Kars," Spoke the blonde one. His eyes having a unreadable look to them.

Another hand gripped your chin, this time forcing you to look at violet eyes, and a handsome face. It wasn't like any face you had seen before. An the moonlight just glided along his features and cloaked him in a dreamy layer of fancy.

"Can you speak?" Lord Kars as he was called asked.

You shake your head. You could, but in broken segments. Education wasn't really something given to you nor provided, you could make out words with smaller syllables but not much else.

Kars reached forward with his other hand and yanked your shirt up, causing you to jump, he could see markings and scriptures which were familiar to him. Words and a dialect which was of their world, their ways, of them. He had seen them when Esidsi pulled you by your hair, at a glance it was a mere oversight, but now he could make out there was much more importance to the being they had found, or more accurate stumbled upon. It was your saving grace.

Kars smirked, he then dropping your shirt, or what was left of it before letting his hand leave your chin.

"You know of us, not many do," Kars then glanced to the one who pulled you hair.

"Melt the chains off." Kars ordered, to which Esidsi did as told, droplets of blood burning the metal at just the right angle to ensure your health, no matter how messy and muddled that term currently was. Once free the blonde haired one kneeled down and gently took your arm, pulling you to your feet. This being the first time you've stood in ages, you almost felt dizzy and lightheaded. You softly held your head, the male who helped you stood standing close and providing support with his arms.

"You're too skinny to be worth much of a meal, you're filthy and covered in unspeakable garments. You bare our ways and harbor our truths so I have to kill you. But, our of respect for your admiration and knowledge I won't kill you right away. I'd much rather you be healthy and well cleansed before leaving you to rot in a miserable grave. Educated. You should be thankful for this mercy." Kars spoke with his back turned to you.

"Ka... Ka.." You finally spoke, trying to say the name you had heard.

Kars turned his head, seeing you trying to communicate, and he just smirks enjoying your stupidity and ignorance.

"Wamuu, find a bed chamber for them to sleep in, bathe them, dress them. Esidsi, find them a meal for the night. Mutt, locate the Hamon users." He ordered the three others to their tasks, and Wamuu did as told, guiding you outside of the dark room and into the moonlight, in the breeze. In the cool midnight breeze. All this time you were locked away in a tower, within a olden castle.

Wamuu softly pushed you along to a room he had found earlier, helped draw the bath, helped you bath and tended to the wounds on your body. Mostly your wrists and ankles. He then found a oversized shirt which was much like a short dress, and a long cloak you could wrap around yourself. It took him no longer time getting you to the bed and sitting you down on the comfortable cloth and bedding, it beat the stone cold floor any day. Soon after Esidsi brought your food up, setting it down promptly before leaving, Wham soon following. You ate, the most you had eaten in years. Once your head hit the pillows your eyes closed, and sleep overcame you.

When you woke the sun had finally set, close to dark, and another bowl of food was at your bedside and a new clothing garment was placed on your bed at the foot of it. It was more, like the Pillar Men attire. A color you could have sworn you'd seen no where else but in your dreams. It was odd, you were a prisoner by means of death, but they were giving you so many things without question just out of sheer order from Kars. It mattered not the order. It had to be based on respect, or something else. You were nothing compared to the four men, but you meant just enough for such treatment.

You kept the cloak and shirt on for now, stepping out into the sunset, softly shielding your eyes as you admired the view again. It had been so long since you had seen it it was like a dream all over again. The same ones she always had when you were alone, or not afraid of closing your eyes at the time. Once the set was gone, and the night sky littered with stars you turned to leave, coming face to face with a broad chest, and looking up you could see the same violet eyes.

"Ka... Ka?" You softly pointed at him, wondering why he was there, but he grabbed your jaw again before answering.

"Kars... force the syllable out if you have to." He ordered and squished your jaw once more.

"Ka," He squished your cheeks again to force the s sound out. "sss."

"Now try it without my help," He let your jaw go.

"Kas?" You replied, the r sound not coming out.

He seemed to look down on you, but smiled a bit.

"That'll do for now. I was thinking you were just plain foolish, but you actually don't have a proper dialect." He then started to circle you, looking you up and down. As if you were a new thing for him to play with or destroy. After a few circles he stands before you again, blinking.

"Humans really are just idiotic and worthless creatures. You'd think after all these years they'd evolve in some way. But I suppose not. You bare the markings of my people but not a single spoken word has left your lips. I could kill you right now and no one would be the wiser. You probably don't even understand a word I am speaking to you." Kars rambled, but you shake your head and softly touch your head, trying to tell him you forgot how to speak. You forgot how to interact. Hell, you had forgotten your name in the time you had been imprisoned.

Kars seemed to pick up on your understanding of his words, and then tilted his head a bit before extending his bone blade from his arm, pressing it against your throat, gently, but you didn't dare swallow. His eyes watched you, as if monitoring for your fear, or your respect, anything to gauge you. He could see your fear, but also confusion, but, there was still that awareness. You knew they creature he was, but you didn't dare scream, or cry, or beg for your life. You seemed more afraid of the blade them him using it, and that tweaked him to no end. Still he didn't act on killing you. If anything, he eased his blade, it returning to his arm.

"Eat your dinner, I'll make a proper meal of you yet." He ordered, he turning and starting to descend down the outside steps.

"Kas!" You quickly call out to him, and he stops, almost bewildered why you called out to him so suddenly.

You touch your chest plate with your finger tips, and then roll your hand over, extending your arm as a way of showing him thanks. You were thankful for the mercy, for the saving, for anything and all you could thank him for. The message didn't get lost, as he just nodded his head once. That was until you heard a loud thud, and part of the castle wall fell to the earth blow them. You look over the castle edge, seeing many men storming the castle, and it took no time at all for Kars to appear behind you again and take you hostage, using his two bone blades as a cage along your neck. He drug you downstairs, where the intruders infiltrated, Whamm, Esidsi, and the third stood calmly, waiting for their order to attack or their first move.

"It's over Kars, let them go! This ends here!" Shouted the supposed leader.

"I'm practically shaking in my shoes," Kars drew the blades closer to your neck, causing a small dribble of blood.

"I think your misinterpreting your deaths as my own, and your making this so much easier on me to finish you all in one final swing." No sooner then Kars spoke the sounds of traps and screaming men filled the air, the sound of blood splattering and bones crunching soon followed until everything fell silent. Only the sounds of blood dripping from someone who was attached to the wall by deadly spikes filled the air.

Kars sighed and lowered his arm blades once more, you shaking against him a bit as you could see the horrors which were the deaths of more men. Your eyes scanned the room, slowly, in disbelief.

"They came faster then anticipated," Whamm spoke first, a survivor of the attack stirring and pulling out something from his pocket. You don't know what until the last possible moment.

"Kas!" You shout and push him away, a sharp pain filling your chest as you fall back onto the stone floor. You were shot, and the voices of the Pillar Men echoed in and out of your hearing.

Kars however looked shocked, and took you shoving him as an attack. Never had a human done this.

  "Get a mask..." He ordered.

"Get a mask now!" He ordered again.

It was too late by the time they brought one back, and you were buried, with a mask, stones, and dressed in the finest clothing, and an amulet baring the dialect of the Pillar Men.

Chapter 2: Whispers from Another Era

Chapter Text

News Stations called it, "The Fight of the Century." It was speculated for weeks, months, and even a few years until the Speedwagon Corporation came clean of the impending threat to a very minor section of the population. Your father was one of them, and after his passing when you were young, you inherited all the secrets and the information of the case file titled Pillar Men. You knew of the living Pillar Men named Santana, where some of the associated with the Pillar Men, Nazi's included, and the involvement of the Joestar Family. But your mind was more focused on the culture, the world of the Pillar Men, and how they lived eons ago.

You were on an expedition, fully funded by your college and supported by a few of the Ancient History Professors who accompanied you along the way. It was a small cave entrance in a marshy jungle, a old location the Speedwagon Corporation cleared out of masks years ago.

"Are you sure the tomb is here, there's no way the Corporation left the tomb here." Spoke another classmate who opted to come with you, Maxwell was his name.

"I've read the scriptures backwards and forwards from the recorded history and everything the Speedwagon name had. I know it's here." You retort, shining your light around the cave, listening for any animal or sound of water flow.

"The Tomb of the Pillar Mortal is nothing but a myth, there's no way that killers, vampiric creatures no less, would bury a mortal in one of their sacred spaces. Much less leave them in one full piece." Maxwell chimed on, his attitude getting harsher the more he walked, he had been complaining that his knees and feet had been hurting since the start of the hiking expedition.

"I have faith in (Y/N), they've done their research thoroughly and haven't let us down on previous expeditions before." Spoke one of your favorite Professors, Dr. Willis.

"Whatever, I'll just let it be known that I don't much care for vampire history, they're murders and heathens and are just, monsters. They'd kill us in a heartbeat if they were still living. Be thankful the Speedwagon Org decided to keep the masks out of humanities hands." Maxwell then replied and then clicked on his flashlight, alerting bats to wake and then fly out of the cave, he only wasn't attacked because of the high pitched scream which left his throat.

You rolled your eyes and kept moving, finding the tree where the once thousands of masks resided. You walk towards it and slowly run your hand down it's trunk, as if feeling the life in it. Reminiscing in the feel of the area as if it was all too familiar, in retrospect it was in a sense of having read about the trees before but finally being there made it all the more real. Once you could fully absorb the feeling of the tree you turned your body towards the cave entrance, piecing the layout of the cave to locate what you were looking for.

"Stay here and be careful." You order and then softly leave the trees base and walk toward another area of the cave as they set up camp in the cave.

The mythology told the story of how four monsters rescued and cared for a human woman for a few nights, on the third night the monsters were cornered and attacked by Hamon Users from a neigboring village. In a act of defense the woman risked her life for one of them and died, she was then buried in a sacred space and bestowed the name the Pillar Mortal. Later it was assumed that the four monsters were Pillar Men, and one of them, Santana as he named, is still alive. Wamuu and Esidsi were killed in battle by Jospeh Joestar, and Kars, unknown. All that was speculated was he was launched into space, or burned alive from the volcano blast. You had spoke to Santana, as he was less relucant towards someone who knew what they were talking about.

"Pillar Mortal, haven't heard that name in a long time," Santana told you. His containment state of the ark so he could wander freely and speak openly, his blood having created cures, which is why he was still alive despite all these years.

"They were buried in the cave in Mexico, Lord Kars wanted them dressed in jewels and clothing like our kind for their bravery. They weren't found by these fools, but I do know that if you find them you will do what is right to protect whatever of us is left. You were like them, riddled in our culture, in our ways. If you find them, I trust you'll tell me." It was the most talkative Santana had been according to the standing guards, and they glared at you the whole way out.

Santana's clue was more then anything you could have hoped for, as you could read the scriptures, paint the pictures the stories told. You were so close to uncovering the biggest known piece, and with any luck you could find the lost society of the Pillar Men. Santana was young, an infant when he left the society home so there was no way he'd know the way to his old home. Not for a lack of trying. He tried really hard to remember it, with no luck.

As you wandered the cave your eyes find the faintest of markings in the stone wall, and your fingers trace the markings to feel and read the words inscribed. The further your hand went down the wall you could hear the words play into your head. The Sun is our enemy, the moon our Savior. Crimson life is ours for the taking, but never the reason to Kill. It wasn't at all speculated that Pillar Men were just monsters, there was more to them, and it was a relief to know you were right.  The further your hand went soon the wall no longer had written messages, and was again its normal texture. A soft droplet of water falling from the cave top and before you, quickly disappearing into the earth. With another step forward the floor caved beneath you a scream escaping your lungs, and you suddenly dropped into a lower cave level, it nothing more then a cave in that made a ramp back up to the level you had dropped from, erosion from the water dripping probably weakened it.

"(Y/N)! Are you alright?" Dr. Willis rushed over to the cave in spot and looked down on you, and then froze in place.

"I'm alright, just a little spill." You reply and then look to were his eyes were going, and you could see it, another tree. Within it's trunk was a figure, no horns upon their head. Dressed in barely anything but it was beautifully placed along their body. The mask that wasn't used against their stomach, being held but their own hand. Gems and jewels littered the tree, with a amulet hanging from the figures neck as well. Resting peacefully as if awaiting their night to kiss them awake.

"Another Pillar?" Dr. Willis asked a bit concerned.

You shook your head, slowly rising to your feet. Knowing you found them, the Pillar Mortal. It was by sheer luck, but you know you did.

"Don't near them (Y/N), they could be a vampire." Dr. Willis then warned.

"They can't be, they were dead in the story. Santana even told me it was to late once they found a mask for them," You walked closer to the tree, again softly touching the bark, away from the figure who was perfectly held within the tree. You felt no pulse, no warmth, nothing. It was just a husk. Your eyes landed on the necklace, softly holding it in your palm and reading the scripture. It was the full story of the Pillar Mortal, wrote in a different and more personal tone, someone who spoke such high authority to bestow such a gift, such a honor.

"We found them, we did it..." You felt tears of joy line your eyes. Being one step closer to your goal.

It took two weeks to find and process all the information found within the tomb, the University was given profit of the find, and all the items not claimed by the University remained in your custody. You kept the amulet, as well as claimed the main finder of the tomb. You were famous for this find within Ancient History Society, but you still felt like it wasn't enough. You still couldn't find the home of Pillar Men with what you found. Every day you read and gazed at the amulet to try finding another hint, but ended up with the same variable.

"You found them," You recalled Santana saying on your return home, showing him the amulet. To which he didn't seem to upset with you holding.

"I did, they were beautiful. You put a lot of care in burying them in the tree. Concealing their youth in the petrified state as you did was well demonstrated, but," You look at the amulet again.

"Who wrote this version of the story? It had to be one of you." You asked Santana.

  He smiled a bit.

"Lord Kars did, if they were to be found he wanted the true story of their sacrifice to be heard. So maybe mortals can understand the same morals and commit themselves to us, as the gods we were. So far you're the one one who knows the truth about us, or the only one to listen. You analyzed everything, front to back, left to right... you are them in your own twisted way. In every, way... maybe it's you in a old life. Who knows?" He smirked and started to chuckle in almost insulting you.

"Lord Kars couldn't give a single care about the mortal until they laid down their life for him, it's not some love story. The fact you bare their necklace on your neck means nothing to others, it only matters to my kind, and right now (F/N) (L/N), you are the most tolerable human I know. I would kill you within a single moment if I could, but I have no reason too, if you turn yourself into a vampire you'll be killed off. You're alone in this expedition, always been. You are a lesser being compared to me." He then said.

You always knew that, there was no surprise in his words.

"I'm the only follower you have..." You then speak out, to which seems to alter Santana's expression.

"I'm worth more then anyone else you know because of that fact. You have no one to talk to if it weren't for me. You'd be nothing more then Subject 58476." Which was his number in the facility.

"I'll find it..."You ushered, and then quickly leave the room.

You were desperate to find it, to escape the reality that was the world. To live in the place that you had dreamed about for years, where man and woman were equal. Love was just the same, you could wed who you wished. You could live off the land, and grow together in a colony. But also, deep down, you felt you belonged there. Ever since you were young and heard the story of the Pillar Men. Ever since you saw how beautiful of beings they were and wondered what it was like being alongside them. It was a child's dream that was baring fruit every chance you could. You could remember the dream, vividly, you had it when you were young, multiple times.

You could hear a voice speaking out to you, guiding you through a voided space. Ushering words you couldn't understand at first, until you found it in a book when you were younger, "You left him too soon. Your time isn't over, this is your second chance." From then on you couldn't help by think there was more to the dream, and someone was telling you there was more to this dream. More to what the universe meant to give you.

After leaving the facility your phone rings, and with a quick answer you hear "A meteor is crashlanding at the school! Hurry or you'll miss it!"

Chapter 3: The Ultimate Being

Chapter Text

The meteor had already struck the Earth long before you arrived, firefighters and a whole crowd of people were blocked off from the area. Your Professors and Maxwell were towards the front, and after you maneuvered through the crowds by fighting for your position you were carefully grabbed by the arm and pulled to where they stood.

"We were here first, so we've claimed another piece of history!" Maxwell said, his expression more ecstatic and lively then he was during the expedition.

"When are we able to go look at it?" You ask.

"Whenever they clear the public to see it, they're checking to make sure it's safe." Dr. Willis explained in return, but there was a look of worry on his face.

You could deduce why, the meteor landed so close to the college and if it had landed on the college people could have been hurt. Turning a happy and joyful time into a mourning one. Not only that, it had crash landed in the nearby woodland and river ecosystem, possibly wiping out the surrounding wildlife and disrupting the area to a shell shocking degree. But they could always restore what was lost, so it wasn't a complete loss. Your hand softly touches Dr. Willis' shoulder, soothing his worry, at least for now.

After sometime the Chief Firefighter ushers Dr. Willis, Maxwell, and you into the area and away from the crowd, removing his helmet to speak.

"Whatever crashed isn't there anymore, there's a indention in the ground, the damage to the area is minimal. If anything there's now a pond. There's no stone, no ice, we're thinking whatever landed has melted off. There's no radiation, nothing of any danger. I can guide you back there to show you and get another opinion." The Chief explained, his face covered in a bit of dirt and grime, probably from handling the fire.

"We'd appreciate that thank you." Dr. Willis spoke, as we're then guided to the crash site.

Just as the Chief explained there was nothing there, just the indention of something having crashed there. Even the indention that was caused was deeper in terms of size rather then width. Even still, you carefully hoped into the hole and started to feel around, even touching the soil and you could feel a wetness, not from the nearby stream, but all around the width, even more interesting you'd find a large blackened and gray feather, unlike any animal that was alive today, the tips a bit singed, probably from the crash.

You carefully climb out of the hole, still inspecting the fire as you hear a thud. Once you look up you see the Chief Firefighter impaled on a shiny blade and slowly but surely shriveling up, another firefighter having fell to the Earth in the same drained state. Following the blade your eyes land on a tall human being, his arms and chest muscled and burly, his hair a bit messy and dirty and hard to tell the color, violet eyes. A singed loincloth on his hips, and shined cloth on his shoulders and neck. His eyes followed the Chief as he fell into a skin sack, and then land on you.

It clicked in your head instantly who he was, and your insides squirmed in fear. It was one thing to be walking near a Pillar Man in a confined and secure area, it was another in an open area who could tolerate the sun.

"Kars..." You spoke his name, to which he stopped, his eyes a bit wide.

"You know my name," He smirked a bit.

"Perhaps you aren't as ignorant as most humans." At first his eyes were glaring daggers, looking you up and down, but it wasn't until they landed on the amulet from the Pillar Mortal's grave on your neck that his expression was more unreadable.

"You found their grave," He spoke. He remaining in place.

"What year is it? Where is Joseph Joestar?" He started asking questions, his steps slow and a bit wobbly as if it was his first time walking in a long time. But all it took was that one step before you were in the air and a hand was around your neck, slightly strangling you. You could tell he was holding back, and you figured the only reason you were alive is because he needed that information.

"Answer me, and I may spare your puny little life." He demanded, his gaze harsher then before.

"20XX, and Joseph Joestar has passed away. He's gone." You answer, although your voice was strained.

"That trickster got to live a long and happy life," His grip tightened.

"An you found their grave, I should kill you for defiling their grave. Mortal they may have been, but I will not allow such a foolish and useful mortal's grave to be destroyed anymore."

"It... It wasn't.. destroyed. It's still, in the cave...!" You replied, softly trying to pry his hand from your throat, you try and swallow.

"T-The amulet was all that was taken. F-For Pillar Men... research." The moment you said research you were dropped from the tall height he held you at.

"Research? What research? Our history should be dead and gone, my "defeat" I'm sure wasn't made public. So how does a mortal like you know anything about me?" He asks as you cough, trying to catch your breathe.

You softly look up at the towering male, and swallow a bit to get feeling back in your throat. He was huge, compared to you. Beautiful, a devil who had somehow returned to his place and was giving you mercy enough to explain yourself.

"I specialize in your history, from a young age it was my passion. I made sure that Pillar Mortal's grave was persevered, Santana told me were to find it. He's still alive and helped me uncover it. I wouldn't say he's a friend or anything, but he trusted me enough to tell me. I've been trying to tell the world your truth, and find your home. That's all I want..." You reply, clinging to the necklace on your neck.

He seemed to pause in his thoughts, or in his speech before he again grabbed you, this time by your shirt and pulling you in so close that if you were to lean forward you'd kiss him. Your hands rested over his own, knowing it was probably futile to try and fight him, but you were prepared. He gazed into your eyes, scanning your face, and then seemed to sigh.

"You're telling the truth, not even a shift in your heartbeat until I scared you. You had the same look in your eyes as they did." He spoke softer, probably softer then anyone in history had heard it. He then leaned forward and slipped his fingers from his free hand into your hair and gripped, he pulling your head back and then smelling your neck. He then made a soft noise, almost in shock before he pulled you in closer and took another deep smell of your neck.

"It can't be..." He then said.

Suddenly the sound of a gun being shot pulls Kars from his state, and he growls in irritation before again dropping you and quickly disappearing, leaving you in a state of shock, messy hair, and your thoughts running wild.

"(Y/N)!" Dr. Willis had shouted and then quickly came to your aid, he dropping to his knees and rubbing your back.

"Are you alright? They spotted an alien in the area! It was about to kill you! Are you hurt!" He shouted and tried pulling you from your daze, but you shook your head.

"N-No I'm okay. He didn't hurt me." You reply.

  "He?" Dr. Willis then asks.

  You meet his gaze.

  "Kars is back, he's here."

"That's impossible! He was killed by Gramps." Jotaro expressed distaste after you had explained yourself, and the events that happened.

"I'm telling the truth, Kars has returned. He was asking for your grandfather, he drained two people in front of me! You know me, I wouldn't lie about something like this!" You shout in protest at this mans stubbornness.

"You didn't believe your own Grandfather about Dio until something bad happened, so why wouldn't you believe me!" You then shouted out.

Jotaro paused, slamming the book in front of him closed causing you to jump in your chair.

"I believed in facts, not fairytales. You've been delusional for years, and you're craving so desperately to run away to the Pillar Men lifestyle that you downright hallucinated a dead vampiric creature into existence. He is dead, the only one who is still alive is the only evidence we have left of them, and the only living evidence we need. It's over (Y/N). No more expeditions, no more uncovering the truth. You're dismissed." Jotaro rose from his chair and then left the meeting room office, leaving you to dwell on his words.

You were slow to return home, a numb feeling filling your chest and heart. All your passion almost having been stomped on. All your years of research and work going down the drain, all you wanted to do was be home so you could just contemplate if what Jotaro said was true, and if it was really over. It took everything in your power to not cry as you were driven home by a Speedwagon Corp driver. Once you were home your gaze fell to the amulet on your neck, and you softly took it off, running your fingers down it's edge. A tear or two falling onto it's surface.

"Was he right, did I imagine the whole thing?" You ask yourself as you lean against the door.

When you see a rabbit hop in front of you you pick up your head to see it, and it sees you. It doing nothing but blink a few times. That was until it's eyes turned read and it's long sharp teeth revealed themselves and started to chase you. You scream and run to the other side of the room and climb onto a counter top and push yourself to the wall, it still trying to jump up and get you. This wasn't a horror film scene you signed up for.

In no time at all the rabbit stops trying to pursue you and turned it's head to the door, and low and behold stood a big burly man with violet eyes and hair to match.

You gasp and start to talk but he quickly appears before you and puts his hand over your mouth, and his other arm pulled you off the wall and into his body so you couldn't escape.

"Shut up, don't say anything, I'm talking right now. Understand human." He spoke quickly, his eyes not once leaving yours.

You look to the rabbit and see it's calm and back to the original form, no red eyes and no sharp teeth. An then back to Kars before nodding.

He slowly removed his hand from your mouth but kept you on the counter, he backing away and finding a wall to lean against.

"You went to the Speedwagon Corp didn't you? You told them about my return." He then said firmly.

Your once fear slowly melted back to the depressed and helpless state, your hand still holding onto the amulet.

"They didn't believe me, told me I was hallucinating you into existence. I'm sure I'm doing it again to try desperately cling onto you..." You whimper, looking down to the rabbit, which still wanted up on the counter but wasn't being a viscous monster unlike before. Before looking back to Kars, trying to hold onto your tears.

"How can I be a hallucination if you didn't know I could create animals at will?" He then asked, his hand then turning to a python, then a butterfly, then back to his hand.

  You look a bit confused.

"I looked at your office, and all the information you had. I was surprised how much time you put into the Pillar Men, and what you had on me. How much you translated our language into your own. You've dedicated so much time and yet foolishly believe another ignorant humans assumptions over your own knowledge." He seemed to scold you, but his eyes held a softer intent. He still looked gorgeous despite being so filthy from his crash landing.

"It's more complicated then that..." You reply and look back down to the rabbit, wondering if you could get down safely.

Kars noticed your unsureness and softly picked up the rabbit, petting it's head.

"The creatures I make won't harm you now, I took the liberty of setting up your security system. After all, I'll be staying here now." He then said as the rabbit then hopped across onto the counter into your lap, snuggling into you like it didn't try to maul you. But you were more focused on Kars words.

"You'll be-, what?" You ask shyly.

Kars smirked a bit, and then again stepped closer, his two hands slamming into the wall behind you, leaving imprints into the foundation. His gaze looking into your own.

"I'll be staying here, after all, you're the only one who knows I exist. I've been wanting a new slave," He chuckled a bit as your eyes widened.

"After all. You still have your debt to pay to me."

You feel terror in your chest, but another part of you feels a spark of bravery.

"I owe you nothing..." You say, and his smirk get's bigger.

"You owe me your life as your long overdue, cause I could easily just kill you here and now if I wanted to," He paused as a large snake starts to coil around your body and holds you in place, it's tongue softly flicking your ear. As if trying to break you into submission.

"You keep forgetting, I am still the Ultimate Being. A God, and you are a mortal, a lesser being. If I say jump, you say how high. If I say you are to serve me, I mean that. I can do whatever I please to you, and you will take it with a smile on your face. I'm only keeping you alive because of the knowledge you bare, and you can teach me the new ways. Consider it a give and give investment in exchange for your life." His other non snake hand lifts your chin. His eyes having another meaning hidden deep within his intentions.

You swallow, seeing his little fang tips peaking out from his smirk.

"Your treating me like the Pillar Mortal...?" You ask.

His smile alters a bit, and the snake around your body slowly returns to his arm and back into his hand as he sets both on the countertop, still caging you in place. A long sigh leaving his lips.

  "Is it that obvious?"

  You nod.

"You would have killed me back in the forest if you didn't see the amulet, you wouldn't have known. It was theirs, and you would have taken it away from me and killed me long before now. Much less made a murder rabbit for a security system, as you can't die by any known means-." As you talk he lifts his hand and again slips it into your hair and he pulls your neck back and leans in again.

"Silence... I'm not that predictable. I'm just being selfish." He says.

"Selfish ho- aaah! Ngah~!" He bit your neck, and when you tried pulling away he used his arm to keep you in place.

As he drank you squirmed in his hold, your hands and fingers clinging onto his arms. His tongue licking your flesh as the blood left the wound, after he placed one bite he placed another and it sent a wave of electricity down your spine, but you didn't want to pull away from it anymore. Even if he was dirty from outside he spelt like nature, or a warm fire from the burnt clothing on his body. After a few more minutes he pulled away, blood drizzling down his chin, but his hands held your shoulders, holding you up. You hand going to were he bit and covering your neck.

"Now, you are to bathe me."

Chapter 4: Bath of Memories

Chapter Text

"Excuse me?" You replied to Kars, who of which was smirking.

"You are to bathe me, that is the lesser beings job." He replies and softly licks the blood off his chin, as if to hide the fact he didn't just bite you.

"Maybe thousands of years ago, but this is the 21st century, and unless you're paying the bills, live here, or fuck someone who lives here. I beg to differ." You retort and gently climb off the counter and prop yourself up in case your legs give out.

His finger softly pushes against your forehead.

"Such foul language..." He then retorts as you softly swipe his finger away.

"I'll get the shower and supplies prepared and clothing for you to wear but you can bathe yourself, besides," You pause.

"I'm not sure how to get your hair nice and pretty on the first try. Especially with all the fire damage and crash site debris in it." His face seems to soften at your words, but his eyes follow you closely.

You then walk upstairs towards the guest bathroom, and turn on the shower. First you make sure it's the right temperature, and then grab shampoo and conditioner from the nearby cabinet for him to use, as well as bodywash. Once that was ready you turned you head to see Kars staring at the shower in almost disbelief, as if he had never seen a shower before in his life. You also could notice a few sticks and leaves intertwined into his locks. You then find yourself feeling almost sorry for the guy, he was in a new world practically and he needed help.

"I'll wash your hair, your body you can do on your own." You retort, compromising with the male.

He nods a bit and reaches for the loincloth.

"No no no! Keep that on, everything else off, climb in and sit down." You softly order, removing the shower head from the holder so you can sit on the bath edge and help him.

Kars chuckles a bit but surprisingly does as he's told, and he surprisingly can fit in the tub, lengthwise. You sometimes forget he's bigger then the normal man.

"Let me get the twigs and leaves out first, I'll be gentle." You reply and reach for his hair, untangling what you could find, and unbraiding the braid on the back of his head, once done you lift the shower head and soak him. Dirt and even dried blood escape down the drain, and as your fingers softly work his hair around and massage his scalp he almost seems to completely melt under your touch. Once his hair is soaked you squeeze shampoo into your hands and lather it in, and soft noises escape his throat.

"Make sure you keep your eyes closed until I tell you." You mutter to him, you don't want to deal with a raging vampire cause soap got into his eyes. It was almost funny for you to think about.

"You're really good... at that..." He ushered in response to your fingers.

You found yourself smiling a bit, knowing you were doing something right to help him out. You'd tilt his head, get behind his ears, the back of his neck, and the only problem spot was near his little horns, but even still it wasn't too difficult to maneuver around. You then rinsed, then applied the conditioner, redoing the same process. Once his hair was clean it was even longer, in messy waves of hair.

"Use this to wash up, and get everything." You showed him the bottle of body wash, and the (rag/luffah/etc.) to use. Then reattach the showerhead to the holder and closing the curtain.

"An remove the cloth!" You then shout as you leave the room to get him towels to dry off with, as well as clothes to wear.

You went to your fathers room, and it took you really no time at all to find him something that would fit Kars. Sweatpants, and that was it. It was even funnier cause along the side leg was the words "Daddy's Home." Still, it would work for now.

You returned to the bathroom, knocking on the door to tell him you were coming back in carrying towels and the sweatpants. as you rest them on the nearby stool, your eyes see the clothing and armor he did have on was in taters and ruin, old and unkept relics.

"I have towels and pants for you to wear once your dried off, let me know when I can turn the shower off." You called out to him and then slowly turned to walk away, to hear the shower turning off on its own and the shower curtain being ripped open, and you quickly cover your eyes in surprise.

"Come now, I'm not that primitive." Kars replied and stepped out, you could hear his body shifting behind you.

"Daddy's Home?" He then scoffed. "I'm not a Father."

"Are you covered? I could careless wether you think you're a father or not right now." You retort at first.

"An you technically are one!" You then snap.

  He seems to pause.

"Raising two children into adulthood doesn't make me a father." He then replies.

"That's the literal definition of one." You then reply with a heavy sigh.

"I'm covered." Kars then says as you turn and see the towel wrapped around his hips, the other still on the stool.

"The other one is for your hair, so you can get the curls back and I can restyle it for you." You grabbing a curling leave in conditioner for his hair, then the towel.

"Dry off and put the sweatpants on, I'll meet you in the living room." You then leave him to dress.

You were reading a book when he walked into the living room, and the sweatpants fit him surprisingly well around the hips and thighs, they were a bit too short and came up his ankle a little bit but still were a good fit. Well, almost, it was kind of easy to see the imprint of his manhood and oh boy was it bigger then you had anticipated. But your gaze quickly returned to the book you were reading.

"Will that do for now?" You then ask him.

"For now? You're implying I'm going to be staying in this?" He then asked almost butthurt.

"Well we very well can't just throw your clothing into a washing machine or wash the holes out of it..." You reply almost heartbroken about it yourself, and he picks up on that.

"I keep forgetting you know more about me then most do." He then replies.

"Scary I know," You reply a bit sarcastically as you set your book down. "What plan do you have Kars?" You then ask him.

He pauses. "Joseph is gone, I'm already the Ultimate Being. Technology has seemed to advanced well beyond my understanding at the present time. It's only a matter of time before I'm discovered to be indeed alive and attempted to be hunted down. Aside from the mutt, I really am the only one left." He then seemed to ponder the thought, almost unguided.

"All you cared about was the Aja Stone, but now that that mission is completed, and Joseph is dead and gone you don't know what to do with your life, do you?" You then ask the male.

He shakes his head. "Surprisingly, I don't."

You then sigh and then hit the couch between you legs. "Sit, let me do your hair before it gets all frizzy."

He sighs and again does as he's told, only because he liked you doing his hair.

"Why are you so interested in my kind mortal?" He then asks.

"It's (Y/N), not mortal." You then retort.

"Mortal, that is what you will be until you have earned such a title." He then replies but you just sigh and tolerate the insanity for now.

"I had a dream when I was a kid, about a place long long ago. Were monsters lived in fear of the sun, and were the strongest of any warrior within their era. I could see scriptures and faces, and even my body in the dream had such scriptures. In the dream I was being used as a sacrifice, to appease the God like beings the people so feared. Sadly I was kidnapped and locked away in a tower before I could see who I was being sacrificed too...the rest of the dream was so blurry." You reply to him, remembering the dream so vividly. You fingers lather in the leave in conditioner, then comb his locks section by section.

"I felt like I belonged there, as if it was where I was meant to be." You then reply, finishing the last section and making a little braid on the back of his head like he initially had.

Kars was quiet for a moment or two before he looked over his shoulder to meet your gaze. "You still believe that?"

The question caught you off guard, and there was almost a unspoken comfort in your chest knowing he was asking such a thing.

"I want to believe it, Santana told me the place was unknown to him since you took him away from it when he was young-." He cut you off.

"I also killed every other Pillar Men who resided there for wanting to stay the cowards they were." He retorted, his gaze unwavering.

"I know... but I still want to go there, see it for what it could have been." You reply.

"No." He looked away. "You maybe a different breed of mortal but you are just that, mortal, and only Pillar Men can touch that land." He spoke in a harsh tone, almost angered at the very thought a mere human would want to even ask or consider such a thought.

His words made you chest tighten in heartache, you should have figured he wouldn't just give all the answers that you wanted to hear or even see at first meeting. Still, it hurt knowing you were still so far away from that world, even if part of it was literally between your legs. When you were done with his hair you softly pulled your legs into a criss cross fashion on the couch which Kars picked up on this and glanced over his shoulders to see what you were doing. You then move to one side of him and stand.

"I should shower and get to bed." You reply softly, to which Kars quickly but gently grabs your arm to prevent you.

"Where do you think you're going? We aren't done." He softly orders.

"We are for tonight, okay?" You softly shout back, to which he looked surprised in just his eyes, but let your arm go anyway, in which you sped walked upstairs, the little rabbit following you as you went. Hopping up each step until you stopped and picked it up, holding it against your chest. Once you were in your room you felt the frustrated tears fill your eyes. First Jotaro, then the Speedwagon's, and now the one real lead you had, Kars himself.

You set the rabbit down on the bed and went to shower, once done you dressed in an oversized t shirt and underwear before climbing into bed, the little bunny cuddling into your chest and arm just before you fell asleep.

Only you didn't fall asleep unsupervised...

Chapter 5: Pillar Mortal or Ignorance?

Chapter Text

Kars had followed you up the stairs, and peeked through the cracked door you left open. Seeing your eyes closed, your chest rising and falling, and the little snow rabbit he made practically cuddling into your chest and arms. There was a unsettling feeling in his chest, one he didn't understand, as he had felt it eons before, with the Pillar Mortal. It was after their death, and it was a feeling he had long forgotten after the need for the Aja Stone. An now, he was dwelling in the past.

He was alone, he could save the Mutt from the Speedwagons but that made his presence known to the world before he was ready, his only option was the mortal he came to learn was (Y/N). The one he seemed to upset, he was used to anger, fear, and sometimes no response at all, but, you had turned away and created and distance that he never would have expected from someone who was so obsessed with his life and culture. It was outrageous to even consider that he hurt you and that's why you left him on the floor. He told you a sacred rule about his home, and you should respect that! Nothing more or less.

But the more he looked over your body, he could tell it wasn't as simple as he hurt you. It wasn't that cut and dry.

He thought about everything, and the only thing he could possibly think of was the Speedwagon Foundation said something, you did look a bit distraught once you came home too. Maybe he had extended the emotions and thoughts from then. He couldn't ask, that implies compassion. That implies weakness from him.

He was enjoying you touching his hair, it was the first time in a long time that wasn't violent, and the first time in a long time in general. He could feel the braid you did, and that his hair was better then it ever was before. An the moment you tried walking away there was a twinge of fear, that's why he grabbed your arm so suddenly. Even if he had been mindless for so long, it still felt like eons since anyone touched him so softly. While he watched you, he could see soft shimmers of tears falling from your closed eyelids, and that guilt amplified into his gut.

He was pulled from that thought as the sound of a phone going off downstairs, and he was quick to answer it so you wouldn't wake.

"(Y/N), it's Jotaro, we looked into the meteor strike and we found evidence of Kars here, you were right. But nothing has changed, its best you don't go looking for his foundation anymore and forget he even exists, if he knows you know about him that could put you in serious risk. Just lay low for now, only attend your classes and go home. Keep the amulet hidden, also, the Pillar Mortal's Tomb has been closed off and resealed per your request. That is all, night." He then hangs up the phone, Kars then follows.

"There was more to it." Kars ushered to no one, then sighed looking back up to where you rested.

He then thought of a better idea.

Your alarm woke you first, and as you slowly opened your eyes the rabbit in your arms stirred as well and hopped free of your hold to groom itself. But your eyes landed on something, and you sat up, feeling the amulet softly fall against your chest and then looking to where your bedside table was was a upside down seashell filled with beach sand, smaller little seashells, and then a big round pearl a paler shade of blue. You softly picked it up and inspected it, it could fit into both of our hands, and the bottom of it was smoothed down enough to remain upright on the table.

"Where'd this-?" You begin to ask.

"It's a apology shell, something when we do something wrong to younger Pillars or women Pillars. If you don't except it, you break it in front of our face-."

"I couldn't do that, it's beautiful..." You reply, and then meet his gaze, as he sat on the edge of the bed.

"Do you forgive me though?" He then said.

You were a bit dumbfounded at this.

"Not to sound ungrateful for the apology but, why are you apologizing?" You then ask him.

"I hurt you, last night. I told you I'd never show you my old home not realizing you were already hurting about being forced away from what you are passionate about, someone named Jotaru called last night and explained that you were right about my return and that you are still unable to look into my culture. I realized I was just adding salt onto the already deep wound." Kars then said.

You knew he could apologize, that was something Joseph had written in his article, about the whole experience he had with the Pillars, surprisingly written in well versed and true words. It even had other entries from all involved, who were still alive anyway. But you never would have thought you'd hear one from him, ever.

"I forgive you, I shouldn't have gotten so upset. It wasn't your fault-."

"No, I added onto your already opened wound. I should have realized, even if they hadn't, I knew your dedication to my kind."

You softly smiled and then look in his face.

"This isn't because you liked me doing your hair is it?"

He paused, and then looked to the side a bit before sighing.

"I'm alone," He closed his eyes and then looked down.

"All those years in space, without Whammu, and Esidsi... and then the one person who knows about me, and actually tries to understand where I came from extended a branch of understanding and wanting to cleanse their ignorance. I let my own ignorance cloud my answer when you were already sorrowed of having to leave me behind." He explained.

"Leaving you...?" You reply, finding those words he used almost sweet and longing.

Kars seemed to realize you picked up on his wording and then carefully covered your lips again with the back of his hand. Seeing the slightly agitated but also perfectly content.

"Do you forgive me or not?" He then asked again.

You smile behind his hand and then nod, he then removes his hand. The same mix of agitated and content expression on his face until it softened and he sighed.

"Also, you are strictly on a class to home restriction." Kars then smirked.

"On who's order?" You reply with the same slight smirk, testing your own limits.

His smirk got a bit harsher as he narrowed his gaze a bit, but his hand secures itself on your throat softly of course. A soft gasp escapes you, and he pulls you in closer your hands rest on his wrist. It wasn't an act of aggression or intimidation, you could tell that much. Despite the expression on his face, and the size of his hands, they were soft.

Your mind was elsewhere, blinking in shock at his action and feeling the butterflies well up, you cheeks getting hot.

"On my orders, besides, your pale from having blood drained and not eating anything last night. An we need to lay low for a little while." He said in a deep growl like tone at first, but then eased his tone, even softly removing his hand from your neck. But you nod, understanding that it wasn't something you had no reason to argue, Kars had his reasons, and besides, it's better to not leave him unattended in your house. Especially with everything being so new and advanced compared to the last few times he was on Earth.

"Can I propose an idea?" You then ask and softly shift your body to be sitting criss cross apple sauce beside him.

"I suppose you could." He replied.

"I teach you to blend in, and how to thrive until you get your bearings right. Also give you shelter and everything else, in exchange, I still want to learn about you. I know what you said last night and I respect that but, I still want to learn everything, all the knitty gritty. Please Kars." You ask.

  He seems to pause.

"As long as you serve me, and abide by the rules I give. Then I suppose that's a fair deal." He then looks down at your little frame, then to your neck.

  You cover the bite quickly.

"Nah ah. Let me eat first, you said so yourself." You reply to his action and then he smiled.

"True, I can punish you after." He rose from the bed and then kept an eye on you as you climbed out, and then followed you to the kitchen. It wasn't until you got downstairs that there was a problem, a massive problem.

  "(Y/N) is that, Kars?"

Chapter 6: Award for the Best Actor Goes to...

Chapter Text

"(Y/N)? Is that... Kars...?" It was your Professor, and why he was there you had not a single clue. But you knew one thing, you couldn't tell him the truth, or Kars would be in danger.

"Professor I, n-no this isn't Kars he's um," You quickly stand in front of the male and press yourself into his front. Trying to hide the giant man who was very fucking obviously Kars from your Professor who had just a little less passion for Pillar Men then you did.

Despite your scurrying, Kars seemed to chuckle and softly take your shoulders, as he stepped towards your side.

"I suppose you could say I am a entertainer, I was hired by (Y/N) to act out a fantasy with them last night in highlight to their success. Surely you understand, I take my job very seriously, and they told me the part they wanted me to play, the mating ritual and all~, so I did-." Kars had a huge smirk on his face as his hand rested onto your hip and pulled you against his side, his hand slipping further by cupping your sex area over your clothing. You let out a yelp and try to stop this act but it only made Kars softly grab your jawline and make you look up at him.

"Look at them, already squirming so early in the morning, why, I'd say I didn't give them the best performance last night. Such a shame wouldn't you agree?" Kars looks to your Professor and eyes him up and down, and you could see the Professor's face, he looked absolutely mortified to be seeing his student being man handled in such a sexual manner. What made it worse, you could feel your desire and neediness spiking again, just like when he bit you yesterday. He was playing a part but even still - how did he think of this so quickly...? Would he actually pull through like he did when he bit you?

"I-I see I should, I should leave you both too it!" The Professor quickly sets down something on the table and scurries out the door, slamming the door shut as he went. Kars held his position for a moment more before letting his hands drop, and you go.

An no sooner then he let you go, you dropped to your knees and made the taller male look down confused.

"Why are you on the floor?"

"Y-You just...," You tried speaking but the red in your cheeks and your thoughts were all over the place to even answer in a coherent thought.

Kars smirked and just deeply laughed at your flustered face.

"Come now, I had to think quickly, otherwise I would have had to kill him. I don't think you'd want that?" He spoke and kneeled down himself, so you were more level in current terms of height.

"B-But that of all... you said the mating ritual! That's only used when it comes to just that, why would you say that if it wasn't true!" You began but his smirk got bigger to which he rose back to his feet and walked towards the kitchen.

"You did that on purpose! I could never do a mating ritual as a human, you know that!" You shouted right back.

"I think you keep forgetting, I know how humans are. Don't think I'm just blind to the way you felt upstairs. Your body gives off a heat, and a pheromone that only I can smell. I am the ultimate being, therefore, I know how to fluster you, as well as know if I am. Besides, I had to punish you for your little stunt earlier in defining my order, what better way then imprinting the touch I possess onto your body so you cannot escape it?" He looked back towards you and tilted his head as he laid out his trap card onto you, and you felt all the more angry, and somehow needy all the more hearing him talk that way. It was scary knowing he knew how your body felt at any given moment, but at the same time, that also meant he could feel how you felt around him, wether good or bad. That also meant... he stopped on purpose too.

  "Oh..."

His smirk fell as he watched you and thought about what you said, how you acted, again trying to read anything you gave up in terms of emotion or intention, and he couldn't help but crave it when he could feel the primal urge deep inside you. That was the thing that he admired in humans, when it came to that urge, there was something monstrous and like him about it. It was, a drive that he himself had, and could be explained as just that, a drive to be taken by another. Nothing more. Pillar Men never had the sentimental and reproductive urge that humans do, in their long lives it wasn't needed. They did it to indulge, proclaim their rank over their own, and to win in anyway possible, sometimes it was to share a moment, but it was one to a one millionth chance of that happening. But the way you worded it "as a human" implying there was more you wanted to say, or more to how you felt about it.

"Now he's going to think you slept with me, when that's not true! Kars, do you have any idea of what that could have done? The Professor and I will never be able to hold another conversation about anything and-." Kars interrupted you by walking over and tossing you over his shoulders and taking you back upstairs. Even if you protested and even tried escaping his grip, it was quickly stopped by his hand slapping your ass a bit to replace his hold on your hips. It took him barely a flick and you were thrown back onto the bed and trying to pick yourself up.

Kars however climbed onto your bed, pinning your hands to the mattress and forcing himself in between your legs, his groin against your own and pressing. You were stuck in a compromising position, and the look he had in his eye was unreadable, it was calm, as he observed every thrash, every movement, and seemed to ignore every demand and plead which left your lips.

"I can fix your little problem by actually sleeping with you." He then said plainly, and you stopped all actions and words, your eyes wide.

"T-That won't fix anything! That'll just prove that I did what you sai-d ahhh~!" You were halted by him grinding into your sex through your clothes, you noises perking up his ears, but he didn't break. Not yet, he was waiting, tactical, observing.

"Not that little problem, you wanting me to actually touch you. You crave contact just as much as I do, you went to all this trouble to help me, and yet share not a lick of your desires to do what I said we did to that man to me. Why, human?" He then asks, continuing to rub in attempts to break you. You slowly coming undone with each stroke and grind.

"I could feel it again when I touched you, I felt it when I bit you too. You've been dreaming of these things, these actions, haven't you?" He then asks, still grinding, not moving or acting until you answered. One hand removing itself from your hand and started to rub and play with your sex through your clothing.

"Have you been so alone you get all heated and bothered at just a crotch grab, you really are helplessly corrupted by us aren't you. How many mating rituals have you dreamed you'd belong in? How many times did you fuck a Pillar Men as you slept soundlessly without showing the world how desperate you wanted a real man between your legs? How many-?"

"Stop! Stop it!" You shouted in desperation, and he stops his grinding and touching, for now.

You breathe heavy and shake, tears lining your eyes.

  "When?" Kars then asks softly.

"When I started looking into Pillars... Again w-when w-we meet in the forest, a few nights ago. I, I started thinking of all the things you'd do... if, if I was one of you!" You started to cry in frustration, but his grip didn't let up.

"I, I always read about them, in, in the scrolls and books and just wanted.... wanted to be that important. To, To be in that position. To be bitten and touched and just.... used..." You then let your head fall back into the pillows, but your frustrated tears became sad ones, heartbroken ones. To which Kars easily picks up on and lets your hips softly fall even to the bed, and have some space of your own. Worried he scared you, or did something along the lines of last night.

"That's not what you want, is it? You like the idea of being wanted to that degree no matter what it costs you." Kars then asks, you hiding your face in your hands. Clearly seeing the truth.

"You're touch starved and needy, without attention or affection. You aren't mad I did that, you're mad I left you there to handle it on your own despite your attraction to my kind. You're mad I wasn't living up to the lie I told."

You felt seen, in a somehow royally fucked up and blissful beautiful way. He knew he meant a lot to you, and using that as a tease or even a lie wasn't going to be anymore easier on you to handle. He figured not many mortal men would be brave enough to even handle you, so it came as no surprise how frustrated you were. Or when the last time you even had sex was.

"I suppose I should keep my word to you," Kars then said, and you softly looked back towards the male, your eyes blinking the tears away. You found him repositioning himself so he was behind you, and slipping his hand down your leg and lifting it up so your sex was easily exposed, not only that, so his fingers could slip into your underwear and start working your stress out. Soft desperate little moans and grunts left you as your fingers clenched into the pillows beneath you, you burying your face into the pillows as well. Even if his hands were big, they were warm and gentle, but it wasn't until he slid his fingers inside of you that your back arched and your noises got louder. An Kars, well, he liked what he was seeing. Seeing a much smaller figure practically meowling at his touch, seeing the pleasure and desperation littered across your face for that sweet release.

"M-More...~" You beg, and his hand adds another finger, his other hand softly holding your neck like he did earlier, making you dizzy from the pleasure. Kars then tilted your neck and bit into it once more, a moan catching in your throat as  it felt all the more wonderful, the lightheadedness only amplifying the pleasure coiling in your stomach. He even pulled you into himself more and it just eased anything you might have felt that was scary, or even overwhelming.

Kars was grunting too, grinding himself against your ass the more he got into the moment. An as your blood touched his lips it got easier for him to want to reward you, he pulled away when your eyes started to flutter open and closed, as if you were falling in and out of consciousness. Licking your new wound to soothe the pain, and he turned your head to keep your gaze locked.

"Eyes on me, you can't fall asleep on me. I haven't felt you clench yet." He teases you, and thrusts his fingers in again and again, the knot deep in your stomach getting so close to snapping. Your hand softly trying to reach for the sweatpants he wore, wanting to feel more then just his fingers inside yourself. But the moment he saw your hand wander to far down he softly used his hand to bring it back so you couldn't touch him, or yourself, which made you squirm more in neediness.

"Ask for it, I won't just let you have it.~" Kars taunted, his fingers leaving your hole and watching you wiggle and shift.

You carefully shifted and then rolled over and then pressed your hips into his dick, and in that action Kars had rose over you and pinned your hands down again with one hand. Your face in the pillows, your chest in the mattress and your ass in the air against his crotch as his hair tickled your back. "Ask~." He then purred into your ear, he then biting into your shoulder, again, and again, but leaving bruises and bites, not drawing blood this time. His free hand going over your hip and still playing with your sex, wanting you to really break.

"Please..." You whimper, and try to press yourself into him again.

"More~." Kars growled into your ear.

"Please, let me be with you, let me mate with you!" You scream in Pillar Man, and it makes Kars pause and almost break right there. You had begged in his own tongue, surely this couldn't be real? An yet, it felt so real.

"Fine, but you better prepare for the soreness you're about to experience after this... let me really give you the reward for your findings. (Y/N)."

Chapter 7: Bittersweet Dreams

Chapter Text

The sound of an alarm blaring pulled you from the dream, not only that, but the hands also which had your wrists pinned to the mattress were Kars’. You felt stiff, weak, and cold, and the night before hitting you like a car. He had fingered you, riddled you in bites, and touched you to the point you came undone over and over again.

He looked down on you, his eyes in a narrowed glare.

“You finally woke up, honestly,” He rolled his eyes and let your wrists go so you could move about. You sat up slowly and looked at your arms and legs, seeing no bites.

“You wouldn’t stop crying out in your sleep. You wouldn’t calm down unless I had a hand on you, what were you dreaming about to make all those kinds of noises?” He asked in a tempered short fuse.

Then it hit you, it was a dream. The apology, the touches and caresses, the Professor being there. It was all a dream. It made sense, your professor didn’t know where you lived, and Kars would never understand you the way he did in the dream. It was another wet… silly… stupid dream.

“Oh uh, a nightmare.” You lied, and you swallowed a bitter sad swallow down your throat.

‘None of it happened…’ Your own heartbroken voice echoed in your head as you bit back tears, not wanting to cry in front of him.

Kars didn’t believe you for a second, but he knew there were more important things to worry about then you lying about what you dreamed about. He knew what you dreamed about, now who with, that he wasn’t sure. He sighed, and then cleared his throat.

“Jotaro Joestar called; he terminated your department.” Kar’s spoke in a soft almost regretful tone, knowing how much it would break you.

“He did?” You retort, feeling your insides twist and break.

“’As far as I’m concerned it’s better the Pillar Men should remain lost in history, and so should their ways.’” He quoted Jotaro, somehow in his voice, it’s probably how he was able to mimic yours on the phone when Jotaro did call.

That was it… it was done.

Farewell,” Your lip started to quiver, as tears fell from your eyes. Your body having a cold, unforgiving shake.

Farewell to the path of the less traveled, to the land where the Gods had blessed beasts of men….” You curled up into a little ball and felt yourself sob, completely somehow forgetting Kars was here.

You were overwhelmed with sexual frustration, anger, sadness, and now defeat, so many pent-up emotions just all wanting to come out at once.

Kars however was eyeing you, shocked you had spoken such clear and precise Pillar Men linguistics without much pause.

What did you say?” He then replied, still watching you.

Why would it matter, it’s over, all I can do is just wallow in my own sorrows, I’ll never get to see the Pillar Man land, never live like them, never be able to love or be loved by one, you can’t understand the pain I’m in right now!” You reply, fluently, without pause once more.

Look at me.” He ordered, softly at first.

You pick up your head and fell agitation spike as you look into his eyes, at first you want to snap back the moodiest response you could think of just to tell him to fuck off. But then you realized it was Kars who spoke, you pause and decided to bite your tongue.

He found mental amusement in your attitude change.

Kars had to hand it to you, you had him intrigued and hooked. This would be an interesting development, after your response to last night and to the news this morning he was more then sure that you meant business when it came to them, and maybe, just maybe they could help one another. In some royally fucked up way.

You realize we’re speaking in my language, right?” He then asks you.

You pause and then shake your head.

“No,” You return to English.

“Its just habit, I, I speak in that tongue when I’m upset and just, lost.” You return and softly let yourself ease from your ball form.

“I’ve looked for years, and now, you’re all I have left of your realm, and everything else I have. I won’t be able to see Santana again… I’m… lost.” You reply to him, and he feels what you had felt. When he wanted to overcome the sun, just before he had to kill everyone else in the tribe, eons ago.

“Perhaps I shouldn’t have been so quick to judge you,” Kars paused in speech as he rose to his feet, you watch him as he went.

“You smelt of the Speedwagon group when we first met, but after all of this I’m starting to think you’re just like Pillar Mortal in more ways than one. That dream you had of our world, I think it wasn’t a dream, but a memory from your past life. The one you foolishly let yourself die to, to protect me. I suppose in some way, I too owe you my life, and my sanctuary. Then you protected me, and now here I am again needing protection. I owe you an apology, for how I behaved so brutishly last night, had I known you were already in shambles of having to leave us behind I would have--,” You interrupted.

“You wouldn’t have…” You stated solely because it reminds you of the dream you had, where he apologized so easily.

Kars had smirked a bit.

“I am capable of it, but, I suppose you are right. I wouldn’t have. However, I am now.” He retorts.

You look back at him and ease into the idea of him actually apologizing.

“I also have seemed to cause you some sexual lucid dreams?” He asks and tilts his head, and your cheeks turn red as your gaze quickly looks down to the bedding. Which in turn Kars’ smirk falls and he looks to you baffled.

“I was simply teasing, surely you didn’t--.”

He stopped the moment you smothered your face into a pillow against your knees.

“Pillar Men don’t mate like you mortals do, why on this Earth would you think I’d--?”

“I don’t know okay! The bite you gave yesterday did things, and I don’t want to talk about it right now!” You shout back and feel the butterflies rise, and Kars felt it all, every sweet and intangible feeling of lust within you. You tightened your ball form up again, just wanting to die from the embarrassment.

I need to be alone…” You beg Kars in his tongue, wanting to get the frustration out without him in the room, but still, you were sure he’d still hear anyway, and you could feel the knot deep within your stomach winding tighter and tighter at the very idea he'd hear you.

Kars walks around the bed and then grabs an ankle and pulls it so you fall back against your back and practically come undone like an upside-down armadillo. He sits on the bed and lets go of your ankle; he sits with his arms crossed, leg under his butt, as if waiting for something. You blink confused.

Alone I will not grant, however I do think I am partially responsible for these unusual urges so, I suppose I should take care of it; however, I’ll do it my way.” He replies back in Pillar before his eyes meet yours and you fall still, he was hypnotizing you, somehow, some way. Without voicing any orders, you sit back up and he moves again, stalking across the bed until his hands pin your hands to the mattress, his lips and nose along your neck as he softly uses his chest to push you back. Once his fangs pierce into your skin again you break from the daze and your neediness spikes higher than before.

You blink a few times and wake from the hypnosis’ effects fully and find yourself already on your back, he uses his leg to spread your own wider apart. His hands then forcing both of your arms up just enough you couldn’t escape. You could feel him though the sweatpants, and did he feel much more real than the dream version did.

Wait, please!” You softly whimpered and heard a growl vibrate in his throat.

That’s the only way I’ll listen to you, better make it good.

I’m inexperienced….

He stopped, and his eyes looked back to me, his fangs barely peeking out from his partly agape lips.

Relax, I’m not pushing that far, I can’t mate you. Surely you know that.” He replied softly, he then slowly lowering his head lower and lower, his hands too falling off your arms and to your hips, and with a quick slide down of your underwear you were exposed to him, ready, needy.

I’m not dreaming again…. Am I?” It came out as a whimper, but he looked back to you none the less.

No, (Y/N), this is real this time.”

Kars was rather pleased in the expression you gave him, a mix of baffled, bewildered, and needy. Before he realized the potential Pillar Men could have he was a very adamant lover, though not many people knew, solely because he used any means to get them to forget. Hypnosis was one of his vises, but he didn’t have to keep it up this time, he was free to do as he wished. What was this human gonna do, tell people? Honestly, he hadn’t made someone break like this in so long, he was going to enjoy watching this mortal squirm.

Once Kars’ lips met your sex your head and back arched, and your fingers clenched into the bedding beneath you. His tongue and lips explored every area and crease he could find, and each delicately caressed spot made your toes curl, with the bite and gentle manner he used to get you into this submissive state your head was spinning. Eventually his hands would fall down and push your legs forward so he could work at a better angle and all the pent-up emotions were coming out in sweet desperate moans, no matter how much bigger this man was, he still somehow knew when to much was too much, but overtime tested the boundaries.

It all came crashing down when you felt that coil snap and your body convulsed from your release, and Kars released you had, surprise on his face as he had forgotten what another person’s orgasm was like. However, he was pleased with himself. After done giving oral he had gently lowered your legs back down and moved to the side of you, one leg getting propped back by his leg.

You’re not done yet, you’re still conscious. You haven’t begged for your Master yet.

You couldn’t even form a sentence as he moved away from you, and gets closer to where he was before he even went down there in the first place.

Once his hand lifted back your chin enough lips and mouth found your neck again, and once within a good spot he again bit down. It made your head tilt back as his other hand slipped fingers inside you, and pumped in and out, he even shifted his fingers to different shapes too.

Words weren’t heard from you, only moans, whimpers, and ushers of curse words under your breath. Your head spun faster and faster, and you were so lost in all the pleasure and touches you were sure he couldn’t make you release again, but you were wrong, blissfully wrong.

He kept going, and going, and going.

To Kars it had been so long since he had ever been this intimate, and with each round you shuttered beneath his tongue and fingers, it was a feeling that coiled and pooled deeper within his chest, swelling the ego and pride he had long since fed. The blood also helped too~.

You attempted to crawl away at one point but he drug you back into his lap, your back against his chest as he continued to work out your frustrations, if you could even call it that anymore. Now it was your lifeline he was messing with, he kept biting, and pleasuring, and even caressing. As if possessed.

Ka-Kas..~ I can’t~.” You eventually spoke out, and he snapped out of his pleasure frenzy, and he too realized he may have gone overboard, especially since you could barely sit upright once his arms and hands weren’t on you anymore.

Once you fell forward and caught yourself on your hands he noted the shake in your body and how you could barely move. Kars then wrapped his arms around your frame, which made you jump thinking he was going to go for another round, but that idea was shot down the moment you were lifted and carried to the bathroom, where he drew a bath for you, as you did for him the day before.

Chapter 8: Aftercare from the God?

Chapter Text

“What made you, help me like that?” You had asked him as you rested in the bath water, he had stripped you of the shirt you wore and practically submerged you into the water, but it felt amazing, warm, bubbly, and he even made sure to help clean where you needed to be cleaned, massaged, and anything else he could do to rewrite that wrong.

“It was my way of apologizing for yesterday, and the dream I managed to cause. Plus, it’s a way to keep you under my control so, it was a win on multiple fronts.” He replied in almost a superior tone, but the look on his face was softer, and kinder.

“Thank you…”

He stopped and looked down at you, he was just as bewildered as you were when he had his way with you.

“As long as it was better than the dream version you had I’ll have no complaints.” He retorted and went back to the aftercare.

You tried your best to smile, but it fell short when you realized the dream and reality had one thing in common, you’d never have the mating ritual, much less have this experience ever again. But that was okay… right?

You closed your eyes and dwelled on the idea as Kars’s hands made sure to tend to each bite, bruise, and area, only asking for help from you when you had to reposition. It wasn’t until you were good that he got a towel and helped you out of the tub, after all, you couldn’t walk right now.

He set you on onto your father’s bed and went through the closet you had looked through yesterday, and he found a hoodie and sweatpants to help you slip on.

You both had seen one another practically naked by now anyway, so it was oddly surreal letting him do all of this.

“I just want you to know, I won’t--.”

“I know… it won’t happen again.”

He seems to pause, but then says nothing as he sits on the bed beside you.

“What did you dream about mortal, besides the mating parts?” He then asks.

“That you apologized for last night, my professor spontaneously showed up, that… that Jotaro found out you existed and how I was ordered to stay home. How I wanted to be just like Pillar Men, and to be held and… I don’t know why I’m telling you. It won’t change what you do or say, I’ll never get to be like you, or find my place like you have. You gave me your answer, I’ll never find home.” I retort softly, and he doesn’t move or shift much.

“You view my home, as your own?”

“Silly, huh?”

“Odd more like, but, I can say I find it admirable. Foolish yes, but admirable.”

He looks down on me.

“May I propose a deal?”

You were looking up at him now.

“I think we both started on different feet, I was arrogant and didn’t want to let quite possibly the one human who understands us into our realm for the sole fact that you’re a human. You wanted nothing more but to learn about us, about my kind, and I had to cut the little string of passion you had left after the Speedwagon Corp cut the rest. Perhaps… if you teach me how to thrive here, I can teach you how we thrived then. Tell me your stories, and I’ll tell you mine. You and I, we’re all that’s left here, and if you are Pillar Mortal, I do owe you my life, and my respect, and most of all, my understanding..” He replied.

You weren’t sure if he was at all serious about his statement, but that feed the hop you had already seemed to starve out.

“I suppose we have a deal then.” You reply and softly start to dress yourself as he turns his head away just enough to give you the smallest amount of privacy.

Your head kept thinking back through it all, and your heart kept racing at the very idea of what he did before he bathed you. It seemed like he was so sexually frustrated too, or just touch starved, but he never admitted it outright, only in your dream.

“Kars?”

His head turned to look at you.

“Yes Mortal?”

You wanted to ask him but knew you wouldn’t get an answer.

“Would what happened… really not happen again? You, you seemed to want just any kind of contact, even before I went to bed, you panicked when we stopped touching. Even now you’ve done nothing but want to--.”

“Perhaps I do.” He interrupted, though his tone wasn’t as fierce as you would have thought.

“Don’t read to much into it, it doesn’t mean I like you anymore then our previous conversation. I did feel sorry for you and fixed my mistake. Nothing more, and I got contact at the same time, so it appeased me for the time being.” He retorted after he had released a low growl at the back of his throat the moment you gave him a soft look in understanding.

But it was the glance back that made his expression soften a bit, it was faint, but it was there.

“Would you want it to happen again?” He asked after a long sigh, reading you.

You looked down, knowing just answering yes was the simplest answer to reply. You had wanted something like this for so long, to be held and touched and just, well, with someone like a Pillar Men. Men now a days just sucked horribly, they didn’t follow or uphold the same beliefs and morals as the Pillars did. Here was one of the last ones, here, in the flesh, and had his tongue and fingers just inside you not less than an hour ago. Long and slender tongue, and his long, caressing fingers.

“You really are an odd human.” He had read your thoughts but seemed to sigh again and pinch his nose. He realizing you were dwelling on the very actions he used to make you submit to him, not realizing how easy and simple it was to just make you break under him. So much that you’d never feel the same with any other mortal.

“You seriously find my kind to be that important and divine you would completely forsake your own kind just to be with us?” He retorted to himself more so then you, after all you already somehow answered him.

“You’re the one who made me come so many times I can barely walk! You don’t realize it’s been years since I’ve had sex, and even then it wasn’t that good! Who knows how many people you’ve fucked all these years you’ve been living.” You snap back as a warmth of embarrassment swelled along your cheeks.

He glanced down at you again, his eyes slightly narrowed, pondering the words which left your lips, and the truth behind them.

“No offense but you’d break if I did anymore to you, we don’t need to repopulate, so mating is just used as a past time, merely affection which rarely happens. We’re not sexually driven as mortals are, so the very concept of what you’re imagining in that dirty little head of yours is merely a flight of fancy,” His hand plops onto your head and shakes your head in a soft semi-circle.

“I wouldn’t!” You retort out of just pure habit of people telling you that anything would hurt or even kill you, and then realize he stopped moving your head about and looked back down on you, you nearly head level with his hips.

He was smirking now, amused by your commitment to him already.

“Easy little Mortal, before you get more entangled.” He forewarned.

“I already am!” You retort right back with a glare of your own. “You know that…” You voice softens.

Kars almost seems to pause, though his expression softens to the point it was almost a resting one before he kneels down on one knee so you both were eye level. He was scanning you, looking for any lie or fallacy along your features.

“You’re dedicated, I’ll give you that.” Was all he said on the matter. “Annoying too but dedicated.” There was a hint of a smile there.

Kars found your dedication appealing, thousands and thousands of years and he’d never felt this admired, he was a god, and this little mortal, you were making him feel like that again. He supposed it was fair to help provide some relief for you as well, it was a give and take scenario on both sides.

“Regardless, we have a deal to help one another out here in this current situation, so, tell me everything you’ve found and researched, and I’ll correct you as much as I know I need to.”

Chapter 9: Fact Checking and Sandwich Thief

Chapter Text

Most of what you had needed little to no correcting. Kars had that realization the more you both had looked though everything you had, even the handwritten language was down to a t, though your handwriting needed some work itself.

“There was one fable that I found confusing,” You retorted as you came back into the study with a sandwich and drink from the kitchen. Kars sat in the windowsill looking through the book that was too small for his hand.

“Which one?” Kars then asks and watches you pull a book from the bookshelf and hand it to him.

“This was the main journal entry we had on the Pillar Mortal, before they died. I guess, before she was found by you.” You reply and hand it to him, he rose to his feet and paced about the room as he read. Skimming the pages and there indeed was a portion that caught him by surprise.

“From what I gathered she was to be as a bride to you, there was a ritual that turned humans into Pillar Man. It was a way to grant the village freedom from you and your tribe. But the ritual runes… they make no sense.” You explain to him.

“They aren’t of my kind, not fully. It’s more of a mixture of mortal and Pillar, a twisted language which originated in the northern part of our territory before the sacrifices were made official, most of the woman were killed or even trafficked before making it to the ritual grounds. No confirmed Pillar Men was birthed from there, at least from what I was told.” He then explained and put the book back in its designated spot.

You looked along the symbols and runes in awe, thankful he was there to verify everything you had, thus confirming how good you were at this.

“You had done a lot better than I had thought, so, I commend you. Although, the mask you found in the cave-?”

“It was left there, I made sure of it.”

“I inspected the area and felt no mask presence there, although it may have been buried and resealed away in Pillar Mortal’s tomb like you said.” He explained in return.

That very thought made you uneasy.

“You don’t think someone would turn themselves into a Vampire, do you?”

“I’m more concerned of what they’d do after that, a mere vampire is no match for me. But if they were to find another Aja Stone things could get ugly and fast. I’ll have to comb out and find the mask, if it is even out there.” Kars replied and looked down towards you.

“If… it was out there…?”

He looked deeply into your eyes, sensing the fear you held.

“I’ll find it, that isn’t your area to handle nor worry about. But for now, it would be best to lay low on both fronts like that Jotaro bastard ordered. It would be quite difficult if you were to fall into danger right out of the gate, or I was to be found.” He then explained, his focus turning to the sunlight outside.

“What would happen if a vampire did get an Aja Stone, surely they wouldn’t become like you, would they?”

He paused and seemed to think about answering.

“They’d be worse.” Was all he could say, as if he never experienced the phenomenon before, or worse, he had and just didn’t want to relive it.

You nod in understanding before sitting down along the windowsill where he once was and softly eating at the sandwich you made. Kars, however, seemed to note this and found the maneuver odd, this act was unfamiliar to him, everyday mortal things seemed so trivial and simplistic, this was new.

“What are you doing exactly?” He then asked.

“Eating, is that really so silly of a concept?” You return, finding his question odd, as if he was testing your naivety in a joking manner, even if his tone didn’t quite fit.

It wasn’t until he came over and stole the second half of your sandwich and started to inspect it, smell it, and then softly bite into that half that you started at him with the most bewildered and perplexed look you could muster.

He chewed the sandwich piece a little bit, evaluating the feeling and flavors in his mouth, and there was a moment of pause as he swallowed that bite, his brain registering what he had just done and if he was wanting to do it again. Almost like a computer crash after to many things happen all at once.

“Kars did you just eat--?”

“I believe I just did yes.”

“How do you feel?” You ask slightly panicked and carefully set your drink and plate down to make sure he was okay. You weren’t at all familiar with how human food reacted with vampires, much like beings like him.

A few more moments of silence.

“What is this type of thing called?”

You felt relief knowing he was fine, or at least seemed to be. But you were slightly ticked he stole the second half of your sandwich like that.

“My sandwich.” You retort and gently take the part he stole back, of course leaving the bitten off portion in his hand.

“The round green things on the stem?” He then asks and steals a grape or two.

“If you’re hungry go make your own!” You snap and glare at him. “You drained so much blood from me, how are you still hungry right now.” You then scold him, seeing a pleased face along his expression from the grape taste he popped into his mouth.

“You’re acting like you’ve never had human food before.”

“In fairness I haven’t, much less the kind of food you mortals have managed to make since my absence years ago, and then again centuries before that. You can’t blame my curiosity; besides, they won’t kill me.”

You shake your head back and forth in frustration, but then feel sorry for the guy a little bit more.

“Still, you don’t know how they’ll react to you. Much less what they taste like to me.”

He made a hmm noise in understanding before finishing off the little portion of sandwich you left him, and the few grapes he did steal. He was making himself at home alright, more then you had bargained for.

Once you both were done in the study you made sure to put the dishes in the washing machine, clean up the mess Kars made the night before and then find a place on the couch to fall back into and relax for a moment or so. You were still feeling a bit lightheaded from the blood intake Kars had take from you, from your earlier…. Whatever you would come to call it. It was by no means a make out session, much less an imitate moment. Just… business.

Although it felt amazing, it was definitely the best you had ever had, even if he was just the first. How did you luck out…?

(AN: Because I said so~! Anway ;3)

“You seem drained.” Kars suddenly said, seemingly out of nowhere.

“I can’t imagine why; I was practically drained dry in more ways than one by someone I know.” You retort softly and looked to the side to where you felt his presence the most, to find him crotched beside the couch you were laying on.

He smirked a bit.

“I suppose that is fair.” He retorts and then meets your gaze again.

“You should rest, I’ll comb out the area around here to see if there’s anyone around that shouldn’t be here. You should relax and regain some strength. I owe you that much.” He ushered and softly rose once again and pulled a blanket over you, so you were comfortable and snuggled.

“But-.”

No buts, it’s an order from your Master. Do it before I make you.” He spoke in Pillar, his words firm but his tone wasn’t.

Alright.” You reply and find yourself doing as he ordered.

“Good.” He retorted and rose to his feet once again and walked off to another area of the house.

The rabbit he made the night before hoping into your arms again and nuzzling into you as you got comfortable. It takes no time at all for your body to shut down.

Chapter 10: Deal or No Deal, In Blood…

Chapter Text

Santana sat in his containment in bitter silence, the general and the other man appointed to him demanding answers on where Kars would go, or what he was after. While Jotaro was listening in, his glare getting harsher and harsher with each second that passed and there still wasn’t an answer.

“Enough, he won’t talk. Leave him.” Jotaro had snapped at no one, he turns on his heel and left the containment chamber, although on his way to the car he realized his guards were gone. Aside from the blood stains on the concrete.

Jotaro froze in place, listening.

“So, you’re Joseph’s brat hm?” Kars had spoken out from where he hid.

“His grandson.”

“Regardless, you’re the one I’m looking for.”

“Where are my men? Did you kill them?”

“No, although I did have a little bit of trouble with one so you could say I had to do some attitude adjustments.” The blood stain was proof of that.

“You’re Kars? Aren’t you?” Jotaro looked to the side of his head, and then along the area around him.

“You’re quick, unlike your grandfather. Although I will have to say he was quick when it came to improvising battle tactics, but this isn’t a battle. So, if you are a Hamon user I’d strongly encourage you not to fight me. It won’t do you much--.”

“Why are you here?” Jotaro interrupted.

Kars paused his tone for a few moments, waiting, knowing this brat wasn’t playing it safe and trying to get a rise out of him. He was the bigger person.

“To request information, I inspected the Pillar Mortals grave and detected no presence on the stone mask that was there. What has become of it?”

Jotaro seemed puzzled by the question, but thought it was best to answer.

“There wasn’t a mask there, if there was we would have taken it and destroyed it. Why? Wanting to take over?”

Kars knew it, it was lost.

“No. I’m looking for it before it falls into the wrong hands. Besides, your little mortal, the one who found Pillar Mortal--.”

“Don’t you dare harm them!” Jotaro whipped around frantically, looking for Kars.

“Why would I take orders from you, I’ll do as I please. Besides, they’re dead already. You killed them.”

Jotaro narrowed his gaze more.

“I did no such thing, fool.”

“Really? I seem to recall them passing away from a broken heart in their sleep from the words you spoke last night, what were they again? ‘Never look for them again, the realm of Pillar’s is gone, and that you’d never support them again.’ Or maybe, ‘You’ll never be like them, so stop trying to escape to that stupid inconsiderate and monstrous reality’.” Kars had thrown the words he meant to say to (Y/N) the night before, right back at him, in his own voice.

Jotaro looked stunned  to hear the brutality of the words he did indeed say and couldn’t imagine the pain that (Y/N) had been going through since then. It was your lively hood, and the only real goal you had to achieve.

“They wouldn’t die from just that, (Y/N) is stronger than that.”

“You’re right, which is why I’ve decided to take care of them myself. It would be in your best interest to do a deal with me. I won’t kill anyone if you let me and the mortal be, as well as continuing to support their expeditions.”

“Why would I trust you?”

Kars had dropped from his hiding place and landed quietly behind Jotaro before speaking again, causing the smaller male to jump a bit.

“Because I know your kind, you mortals, if I was to threaten the very livelihood of your kind I’d cause a war, and that would destroy everything you built as a society. Which is quite the situation I’m not wanting to handle. Much less attempt to survive it with hundreds if not thousands of humans making attempts on my life. Besides, (Y/N) is in the mix now, and I’d much rather keep them alive—as I have a score to settle.”

Jotaro knew attempting an attack with Star Platinum would be fruitless without knowing more about Kars and how he fights. But that was always housed with you, and he didn’t take the time to memorize all the information like you had on him. Jotaro was sure you knew his size and how much he could lift from memory.

“Are you protecting (Y/N) because they have the same ambitions as Pillar Mortal? Or because you have a dedicated pet?”

Kars smirks in response, but looks down on Jotaro, only slightly.

“Maybe I like the way they squirm beneath my fangs?”

Jotaro narrowed his eyes, but his hands were tied, without knowing the condition you were in, much less if you were home still he couldn’t guarantee your safety. At least not right now.

“I demand the mutt be released. You don’t need him anymore, right? I need more protection for the mortal while I’m looking for the mask--.”

“He’ll kill them!”

“Not if I order against it. What’s better is he’ll live off their blood—they’ll supply both of us—.”

“They cannot sustain both of you!’

Kars smirks.

“They’ll try.”

You woke and found Santana staring at you, and you quickly sat up and felt Kars was behind you, perched on the framing on the couch. As you lift your head his hand covers your mouth to prevent you from screaming and you did nothing but look up and see Kars perched like a bird.

Once you were calm he let you go, and your focus looked to Santana as Kars stepped off the framing, off the cushions and onto the floor.

“Did you kill--?”

“What is it with mortals asking me such silly questions.” Kars retorts with an eye roll before Jotaro too walks into your eyesight.

“(Y/N)…” Jotaro’s voice was cool and soft.

“Jotaro it’s, it’s not what you think I--.” He lifted his hand to stop you.

“I made a deal with both of them, and as of now your expeditions are reinstated for you. But only you, we can’t have the public know that Pillar Men have returned. We’ll be supplying clothing and food for you, them, and… anyone else who enters into the situation.” Jotaro pauses and then seems stuck on saying something else.

“I’m sorry…” Was all he could muster.

“I proposed a deal with the Speedwagon Corp, nothing more.” Kars explained to you, and you found your heart melting.

“You… did?”

Kars looked at your starstruck and shocked expression and then sighed.

“Not for you, for myself.”

“Thank you….”

Every male on the room looked at you in shock, seeing such a happy little smile and tear lined eyes along your face.

“Leave us now Joestar, your silly request to see them has ended now.” Santana ordered, and without a word but all the hesitation in the world he leaves you with the two Pillar Men.

Kar had sighed once the door shut and crossed his arms over his chest before motioning his head at Santana, in which Santana quickly leaves the room. To where, you couldn’t possibly know.

“The Mutt will look for any traces of the mask during the nightfall, I’ll attend to you and of course follow you about during the day while Santana guards the house alongside the critter…” Kars looks down to the rabbit which sat in your lap all nuzzled up and cute.

“The mask isn’t there, is it?”

Kars shook his head.

“No, as I feared it was taken in the time you were there and when it was sealed away, who all was with you when the tomb was discovered?”

“Two of my Professors, me, and then another student. All the other expeditioners where at the campsite three miles down the mountain, there’s no way they would have been able to find the cave.” You retort as Kars kneels down before you, his eyes hardly fixed on yours. He was reading you, seeking the truth.

“(Y/N), you know where it is, don’t you?”

You swallow and look down, giving him a soft nod.

“It’s safe, that much I promise, but… it’s not in the tomb anymore. I didn’t trust anyone else not to take it and destroy it, or, or even use it… but I never meant to take it with me…”

“(Y/N) where is it?” His tone was firm, but still calm.

You softly set the rabbit down on the couch and softly walk back into your study, after entering you softly pull a book out and carefully open it. Inside was a page cut out, inside was the mask. Kars could feel its presence then and there, unlike before.

“It ended up in my bag, I don’t know how but I swear I never touched it…” You retort and hand him the book.

He looks down at it and then sighs.

“They do have a tendency to wander about, they always manage to end up back into society. If you had taken it with your own hand the presence would have been easy to sense. You did a fantastic job of hiding it, even from me.” Kars closes the book and slides it back onto the bookshelf once more.

“I couldn’t let it get destroyed…” You retort.

“You are a crazy and psychotic human, but definitely someone who cares no matter the cost on your own life. I’m surprised you had enough restraint to not use it on yourself and wander the night. At least then you could travel all over without needing help from the Joestars.” He then replies, he turns to leave the room.

“I thought about it…”

Kars stopped in place.

“I knew I wouldn’t be able to survive that way though, it wouldn’t be all sunshine and rainbows, and even then I knew that the ritual wasn’t accurately tested so… there was no way to know….” Your voice trailed off, but it also didn’t help that Kars was suddenly in front of you again and his hand squished your cheeks so your lips would pucker like a fish.

“You have the biggest death wish out of every human I even met.”

You blink at him, not sure if speaking was going to save you, or silence. Although you never took your eyes off his. He then sighed and smirked a bit.

“You’re also the craziest.” He then softly lets his fingers fall from your cheeks.

“You’re the most touch starved…” You retort with a glare.

“Says the one who was moaning like a whimpering cat in heat not a few hours into the morning~.” He growls in a tainting tease as he leaves the room, which makes your stomach do a backflip.

“That’s not fair--!” You reply and promptly follow him.

Chapter 11: Fuck... Fairytales and Reality are two Different Bastards

Chapter Text

Santana was there when you woke, he stares down at you as if he was deciding which limb was the best one to bite, or which ways to kill you without making it obvious he did it. You don’t even remember falling asleep.

Lord Kars wants you to eat, I’ve brought a meal for you.” Santana explained, he stepped away and left the large castle room—wait, castle?

You sit up and look around, seeing you were indeed in a castle, and looking down you see the familiar markings and tattoos of the Pillar Mortal. You were there, in the same place as she was. It was so surreal.

“Sa-.” You stopped, unable to get the next syllables out.

You quickly got out of bed and rushed to follow Santana, keeping your distance as you were unsure on his emotions towards you. Then you heard it, the sound of Kars and the other Pillar Men talking.

We can’t drag that human around; we have to kill them. The Hamon users would just track us down faster.” A voice not Santana, or Kars spoke.

But the mortal poses a great deal to us, it would be foolish to kill her off, Esidsi.

Enough, I’ll decide her fate, it’s not something you three are to discuss.” Kars spoke clearly, harsh and in charge.

I’ll kill her, because that is my right….”

You rise from where you rested, panting, your chest heaving as you tried to gather all the air in your room. Just enough to breathe, it was dark in the room. Aside from the candle that lit the study.

Santana and Kars weren’t there, but the sweet monster bunny was, nuzzling and wanting to help ease you. You picked up the smaller creature and held it close, and the dream, and the reality of it came crashing down. ‘It wasn’t a love story…’ those where he words Santana said when you asked about the emblem.

You felt calm again, so much so you heard Santana enter the room from the other end.

“You screamed?”

“Memory… or a Nightmare..” You shook your head.

Santana nodded in understanding and walked in, shutting the door behind him. It must have been daylight outside for him to be in the house, much more so if it was darker then dark. The curtains in the study were drawn closed and tight.

“You were right about all of it, it wasn’t some love story, pretty silly that I thought it was when I was younger, huh?” You ask him.

“Definitely.” Was all Santana had said.

“Kars is….?”

“Scouting, he’s inspecting the area and touring the area with the Speedwagon Corp. They’re also assuming him a position at the University as a History of the Ancients Instructor.”

“Surely you’re joking, Kars would never--.”

“He suggested it. Honestly it’s the best way for him to fit in and it gives you protection while at the University.”

“Protection, why would I need--?”

Santana had pulled a newspaper from the sweats he was wearing, the ones you didn’t notice he had on until now, and after unrolling it there was the biggest headline on the front page. 14 People Drained to a Pulp? Town’s Chupacabra?

“It appears another creature has surfaced and has been wandering about lately. We’re not exactly sure who or even what this is yet. But Kars suspects a vampire, or someone posing as one.” Santana let you read the paper, and take in all the information you could, like a sponge.

“You’re sure? It wasn't Kars, or you?”

He nods. “It’s of vampiric or even Pillar Man tactic. An no, we were sworn to feeding off of one source, that was the deal in exchange for peace.”

You nod and then take a deep sign, knowing there was nothing you could do but comply. At least for the moment.

“It’s getting dangerous, isn’t it?” You had ushered softly.

“When is it not out here in the world, honestly, you humans cause more of the world’s problems than we do. You can’t even walk down the street without some vile act or crime being committed left and right. Honestly, I don’t blame you for wanting to run away from this god-awful place.” Santana replied and then took the newspaper back from you.

“You’ve learned more human lingo than I realized.” You reply to the male and then rise from the place you sat.

He blinked almost like he didn’t hear you, but when his gaze shifted behind you that’s when you noticed the devilishly handsome Aztec God Pillar Men, Kars, in the most fitting suit pants and tie get up you had ever seen, darker almost black, purple suit with a lavender purple fitted top, matching dark tie. His hair styled to have a mini bun on the back of his head, his hair long and flowing against his back, his horns somehow had shrunk to where they were buried in his hair. You felt your whole body burn at this sight, your stomach doing backflip after backflip.

Kars noted your gaze and smirked at your nearly frozen state of shock state.

“I take it my assistant likes the outfit?” He walked deeper into the study, closing the door behind him.

“Y-Your assistant?” You stuttered, like the flustered to hell idiot you were.

“I made a deal with the University to have the best student within the Ancient Histories Department, and you mortal were the best pick, but I also wouldn’t have backed down without having you at my beck and call. After all, you’re still my mortal to do as I wish too.” He retorts and walks closer, the clothing snug in all the right places as your eyes dart over every single curve and line.

It made you gasp when his hand found your neck and he gently pinned you to the wall, a soft winded gasp escaping you as his eyes feasted on your own.

“Leave us Mutt, I have business to handle with the mortal, you can feed once I’m done.” He ordered.

“Lord Kars.” Santana left without another word, leaving you in Kars’ clutches.

“The brat of Joseph’s is nothing but a pain in my ass, to think I would be stooping down so low to teach arrogant mortal humans,” He grumbled to himself as he lifted you up into the air by your neck just enough to pinch you between the wall with his hips. His hand on your neck pushed your head to the side as his fangs pierced into the flesh of your neck, and the aggressive chomp made your toes curl. His other arm propping your leg up, while the other hung off his hip. Not that it mattered, you weren’t touching the ground anyway. You’re head was spinning from the hand placement. That and his groin pressing into yours to where you could feel every growl, weight shift, and movement. He was so big, you remembered what he said earlier, ad you were so close to mewling that a cat in heat again.

“Don’t move if you value your life…” Kars had growled before biting into you again, right along the jugular, to which you let out a soft whimper.

You felt a soft quiver in your fingertips as they rested on his shoulders, and after the first few seconds his aggression eased into a softer bite. His hand falling from your head so you could ease.

“Y-You’re angry with me..?” You then ask.

“No, mad at the brat as I said. Don’t you listen?” He then asked as he lowered his fangs to your collarbone, not biting down yet.

“I was…”

He sighed.

“I suppose my behavior would imply such things, so I suppose the question was a fair one. Then again, you still shouldn’t have asked it, but I’ll let it slide.” He had whispered as his head fell to your shoulder and he again bit down, stepping closer into you, so hard you felt every inch of him against you.

You gasped again, and felt his hair stroke your cheek, and your fingers carefully intertwined with his locks.

“I’m trying not to drain you… Santana needs blood from you as well, you’ll have to provide for both of us—I hope you’re aware.”

You nod and swallow.

“Good, after he’s done feeding then we need to talk. Am I understood?”

You nod again.

“Good… I’m setting you down now. I’ll tell the Mutt to be easy with you, and if he does anything I would, you better tell me.” He kneels down and lets his hands fall so your legs can properly touch the floor, once you’re steady he backs away. It takes all but a moment or two for Santana to walk in and see you, his eyes hard on your body.

He walks over and he carefully escorts you to the windowsill and lets you sit on the pillows, he notes the pink on your face and the rapid heartrate from either being scared shitless or something else.

“Give me your arm,” He then says and takes your wrist, gently, despite everything surprisingly.

“There’s a place on your arm that gives me a small amount of blood before it clots, that way you won’t have bruises from us sucking the wound closed. It’ll last me till the next feeding, but it’ll hurt." He explains just before biting down, and god did it indeed hurt.

You were released from the second Pillar's mouth before long and just as Kars had said he came back in, he having changed into the sweatpants you had given him.

"Here's the deal mortal, by now I'm sure Santana has caught you up to speed on things--."

"He did, and I understand all that you were doing, but... are their really others like you out there?"

"Anyone can be, it's not an uncommon thing anymore. We all have Pillar Men in us, some are just more and more diluted, but these others aren't as diluted as your kind. They're able to walk in the sun, they're able to survive without blood, you could say even you have part of us deep in your blood. But since you don't have a certain percentage you're more mortal than Pillar. But these... bred to love versions of me are coming back out of hiding, somehow... and part of it has to do with you, or the knowledge you possess. So, I want to be perfectly clear... you aren't to go anywhere without me or the mutt, am I understood?" He then asks.

"I understand... I just... hate that this is happening, there's more I could learn if they weren't killing people. I don't even know what they want..."

"I don't want to find out..."

Chapter 12: (You Remember That Beautiful Professor Kars Fanart.... This is That) :3

Chapter Text

Everyone was quaking at him, every man, woman, they and them. He was as gorgeous as he was the day before. Housing his god like body into the suit and tie set he was given. His hair framing his face but still pulled back enough he isn’t overheating. You were a bit behind him, so the placement beside him wasn’t as obvious to the other students., or it wouldn’t be suspicious, well, as suspicious. Everyone on campus had been on edge since the meteor, the rumor of the alien life form who was wondering about ‘aka Kars.’ Now more than ever because of the killings that had been reported in the paper.

You knew each turn of event. Kars arriving, the understanding and cooperation of the Speedwagon Corp, the reinstatement of your exhibitions, the reappearance of the stone mask and where you hid it, the murders, and then the very idea that dominant gene Pillar Men like vamps were wandering about in this very city doing God knows what and for God knows what reasons. You also now have two of quite possibly the most dangerous men living with you in your own home! One of which treats you like a toy, then again, gently. The other as just a walking blood bag.

“Is that the new Professor…?”

“He has to be.”

“He’s so hot!”

“Look (Y/N) is back too.”

“Didn’t you hear, the whole expedition section in the history division was shut down.”

“Poor thing, they must be devastated…”

All the voices didn’t ease your anxiety, if anything it made you realize you hadn’t been on campus since the meteor crash landed.

Once past all the eyes you had walked around the corner with Kars and he had a soft growl in the back of his throat.

“Being stared down by other mortals who are in heat was something I wasn’t anticipating. Surely your kind has more class then to just--.” He paused and looked down at you.

“Never mind, I realize I am talking to someone who was undressing me with their eyes not a few days ago.” He continued onto his office, letting you saunter on behind.

“It seems you are quite well known here though, any particular reason as to why?”

“I’m one of the top ranked students at the University, good standing, active in a lot of the events here--.” Kars rolled his head at your reply, and a heavy sigh escaped him.

“I keep forgetting you’re better than the average mortal.” He ushered as you set your bags down onto the chairs in his office and then shut the door behind you.

“Have you coordinated the meeting with the other faculty yet? You have to meet all of them at the brunch today.” You retort and remind him once again he still has to play the biggest part in all of this, being mortal.

“I am aware mortal; you surely cannot expect me to forget such simple things. I’m just not exactly ecstatic about the idea of rubbing elbows with people who payed to have the Dr put on their name.”

“Some Professors just have a Masters.” You retort.

He seemed to pause on that before sighing. “I’m not happy,” He paused the moment your eyes were on him.

“This isn’t what I had signed up for, much less agreed to. Then again it beats floating about in space.” His voice was firm, but gentle.

“I know, and I’m sorry I have to make it all complicated like this. But it keeps you and Santana alive, and out of the crosshairs, we can’t do much else right now. When it’s all over we’ll think of something,” You retort.

“We…?” He then asks, his attention back on you as he walks closer, towering over you.

“Well, maybe, I don’t know if you’d want me to stick around that long or, even still be living at that point--.” You backed into the door has his hand rose, and once his hand secured your throat he softly squeezes to make your head spin.

“You sure as hell are coming with us, I can’t have the one and only mortal who admires me go, now can I?” He ushers and smirks, his eyes hard trained on your own.

You hang your head.

“I’m sorry you’re not happy… I’ll do what I can to make it less difficult on you.” You retort and find his smirk turning to a grin as he lets his hand fall to your ass and grab it, he pulls you into his body by your knee so your caught by his other arm as he held you up. You grind sexes onto one another.

“That’s a good loyal servant.” He purrs at you, as the sound of a knock on his door alerts the both of you.

“Who is it?” Kars bellows.

“It’s Professor Willis, may I come in and speak with you?” He called out.

Kars resituated your body and plopped you onto a nearby chair before opening the door for your professor, the one who found the tomb of the Pillar Mortal, and the one who knew that you saw Kars. The Professor looked stunned being barely eye level with a chest and had to look up to meet the harsh but burning violet eyes.

“Oh, my goodness you’re just as tall as the students said,” He extended a hand. “I’m Dr. Willis, forgive the intrusion but I had to come by and meet you before--.” Willis spotted you.

“Oh, I didn’t realize you had company. (L/N) what brings you here in, oh, forgive me, but I don’t quite know your name.” Willis explained and you froze, you didn’t know what his last name even was, much less the one he was given as an undercover alias here.

“Tomabrive, Elias Tomabrive.” Kars had answered without pause.

“Ah Dr. Tomabrive! It’s a pleasure to meet you.” He extended his hand again and Kars had returned the handshake.

Kars was handing the interaction well from what you could gather, but the way Dr. Willis’ presence felt was strangely comforting. It was nice seeing him again, and not in your twisted up wet dream you had a few nights ago. It was good to see he wasn’t as heartbroken as you thought he would be after the department was shut down.

“(L/N) is my assistant, appointed to me by the University and I must say they’re a remarkable specimen indeed, I feel quite at home here.” Kars had returned in a calm and dangerously sweet tone, which you had never seen from him, ever. It was a mixture of “fuck around and find out” and “I’m just an innocent and sweet bystander who needs loving.”

“That makes much more sense! I was quite worried after our department was shut down, sad really, we hadn’t heard much of them since. I was scared they got hurt.” There was a glint, a small look in his eyes as he looked at you, it was a flash of intention, one you hadn’t seen before until now, insanity, bloodshed, and worse, murderous.

But it was gone the moment you saw it, and you began to question if you had even seen it in the first place.

Kars on the other hand saw it loud and painstakingly fucking clear.

“Perhaps we could conversate another time (L/N) we have much to catch up on.” Willis had spoken before letting his hand drop from Kars hand. “I should get going, welcome to the University, I await your results.” Willis walked away unscathed, and once the office door shut Kars had smirked.

“They got your professor. He’s got the mask smell all over him, freshly converted.”

You look at him startled.

“You’re sure?”

“Positive, that fucker knows what he’s after, and he knows who I am, although I’m not sure if he knows that we know about him. He’s playing the long game… I’m ordering you not to go anywhere near him, alone. Am I understood?” He asks.

“I can’t just skip his class Kars; he’ll know something is up. You can’t come and get me after every lecture either, he's more educated than most of us.” You retort and see his ancient gears turning.

“How many of them are there?” You then ask.

“I only sense him right now, the mask he used or was forced to use isn’t here, if it is he has it hidden away like you have yours. He’ll start converting people one by one, how and when I don’t have a clue on, but the moment he knows that we know it’s over. That’s why I couldn’t sense him coming to the door before he knocked, he’s a crafty little bastard, I give him that.” Kars seems to be talking to himself more than you, but the comments were necessary.

“You don’t think… the Professor is the killer, do you?”

“He very well maybe, or he’s just an underling.”

That makes your stomach do all kinds of terrified nervous backflips.

“I’ll think of something so you’re not alone, because you’re right he’ll know something is indeed up if I come to collect you every day,” You interrupt.

“The students will think something is going on between us, and that’ll put you into more issues.” You then state, in which he looks to you confused.

“You mean, they’ll think I’m fucking you?” He then asks.

You blush. “Not quite that graphically put but yes!”

He hmped before rolling his gorgeously violet eyes. Arms over his chest, which makes his frame all the more delicious. You knew he was just walking eye candy for anyone and all the gods to see. He was more clothed than before and you still couldn’t take your eyes off of him…

You were screwed, if the vampires didn’t get you, this man would.

----------------------------------

“Welcome to History 2301: The Study of Ancient Cultures, I am your Professor, Dr. Tomabrives, and rest assured that this class will be nothing like what you’ve read in textbooks, or anything close to what previous scholars had written. This will be a personal and closely represented look into the past, and based on how well you retain from it.” Kars had spoken as clearly as the cloudless sky, his stance elegant, and his handwriting was practically computer font. All eyes were on him, and they had every reason to.

“Before we begin does anyone have any questions or concerns for me, I take it everyone has grabbed a syllabus and has read it before walking in?”

Some students raised their hands, asking him basic grade point questions, and things that were indeed already printed in the syllabus, which made Kars eye twitch, but he kept himself calm and collected.

“My assistant for your class is (L/N), if there are any issues in which I am not present to answer. Most of my class will be transcribed and then the notes will be posted on your classes’ module page on your computers…..” You zoned out, not because it was boring, but because how much of a natural he seemed to be at this, he didn’t rehearse this, he was just speaking this without any prior understanding of how to lecture and he was just handling it like a champ. The way he wrote on the whiteboard, answered students’ questions with ease. Even the computer which picked up on everything caught every word he said with detail and precision.

It wasn’t until the end of the short class, and everyone left the room that you snapped out of it, and Kars was walking towards you, his jacket over his arm.

“That was, surprisingly interesting.” He ushered.

“They were listening so intently, asking questions as I spoke, taking it all in…is this what it’s like to teach?” He then asks, bewildered.

“A lot of students have to have this credit to graduate, but some, well, majority want to learn this. Plus, the way your handling the class they’ll like it, I’m sure.” You retort in which he smiles a bit and chuckles.

“I caught you daydreaming you know, you were mesmerized.” He teased before the sound of clapping interrupted him.

It was Jotaro, and even a few Speedwagon officials.

“You handled this well, better than I had intended,” He began walking down the stairs of chairs and desks. “It may go better then I had originally thought.” He handed a folder to you.

“Need I remind you I am a scholar of my own time; I was quite the prophet.” Kars back sassed before rolling his eyes and taking the folder you were given from you. Inspecting the contents, Jotaro seemed annoyed he was doing so but let it slide.

Jotaro wasn’t pleased, but kept his mouth shut for the sole purpose of not arguing with Kars.

“He did well…” You found yourself speaking up in a mutter before you quickly realized you did so. You cleared your throat and tucked your computer back into your backpack before starting to leave the room.

“That’s all the lectures I have for the day, its best we return to the house.” Kars explained and then followed you.

“You can’t.” Jotaro spoke, which made both you and Kars pause.

“That’s right…. You have….”

Chapter 13: Professor Tomabrive, and his little Pet Assistant

Chapter Text

Kars Pov

The Teachers Luncheon was quiet, and majority of the departments had stayed within their own, well, aside from the Professors who could clearly see the new walking tree trunk of a professor leaning against the wall. Kars was wanting to just slice through the masses and evade this horrid responsibility, but he made a promise…a foolishly horrid and devilishly double-sided sword of a promise.

But it was for the safety of (Y/N), for the reincarnation of Pillar Mortal.

When they first met at the meteor site he wasn’t so sure, he could smell the same blood in your veins as the Pillar Mortal’s. It only amplified his weariness when you wore the amulet, but now he was certain of it. Your dreams and conclusive obsession, the play-by-play dream of the night you were murdered in your past life. There was no denying it…

“Ah, Professor Tomabrive!” The same snake who snuck on him appeared once more, holding a cup of something red inside it. The soft scent of blood also swirled in that cup.

“Professor Willis,” Kars bowed his head in mock respect.

“I’m so glad you could come, tell me, how was your first day of lecturing? Surely it was a thrill educating such young foolish human adults.” His phrasing quickly made Kars tone in.

Code. He was gauging Kars’ reaction on the superiority of his kind.

“Foolish, not the best phrase for them I think,” Kars retorted, stupid, idiotic, waste of space, now those felt more appropriate.

“I feel they’re just young, naïve. They have to deal with the things their ancestors left behind.”

‘They’re failing, miserably.’ He didn’t comment out loud.

 Willis chuckled.

“Quite so, and wonderfully worded, no wonder the students spoke so highly of you this afternoon in my class. I say, you must have put on quite the little show. Although, I’m sure the man who possess as a god does get treated as such,” Willis’ vampire eyes shimmer through his human ones, a blatant choice.

“Do tell me. Why are you here?” Willis gently turned Kars around and escorted him out of the room, and out towards the forest line by the Campus end. Kars kept his guard up but followed, he wanted to see what this bastard would do. Kars and Willis both didn’t catch fire once the sun touched their skin.

Once they were in the tree line and out of the public eye Willis had cracked his neck a little before downing the cup and the small amount of blood along with it.

“You really are back, heh, I’ve been waiting for this moment my entire life and unlife,” He sighs a deep almost heavenly sigh.

“I feel so delighted to see you in the land of the living. Do tell me, how was your fall?!” Willis quickly slashed his fingers towards Kars, and thankfully Kars extended his arm blade to cut Willis’ hand off.

Willis screamed and doubled over his hand in pain.

“You bastard, you know how long it took me to regrow this hand?!” He shrieked and quickly scurried along the ground to reattach his hand with a squish and two or three turns of the palm.

“I really don’t give a damn, you’re the one who attacked first.” Kars grunted; his eyes narrowed at the lowly vampire spawn who wouldn’t die to the sun like traditional ones…. Wait. He wasn’t turning to dust.

“You found a way to surpass the sun,” Kars smirked and quickly stepped harshly onto Willis back, making the male scream in pain, as a bone blade pierced through the bottom of Kars’ foot through his body.

“W-We had to… in order to survive against the Speedwagons, you have no idea how much of a pain it was to conjure up a method without the masks or the Aja stone!” Willis squirmed and groveled, trying to break free.

“I take it you’re the one who’s letting all the new vampires free, or personally responsible for all of the recent killings?”

Willis cackles.

“Yes and No. I am not the one in charge you see. I’m an underling, and the ones roaming about are the scum,” He cackled all the more.

“Our Master wants to achieve what you have, and by gods he’s almost done it. The vampires like me who can sustain the sun, oh, that’s just the beginning. Soon there will be another Race, not Pillar Man, not Vampire, but a God. More powerful then you! It’s all he wants for HIS Mortal!” Kars stepped on him harder, making Willis choke.

“His? Mortal?”

Willis didn’t answer, realizing that he may have said to much.

“Darling (F/N) (L/N), the Masters obsession. He’s been waiting so long to see them… hold them… taste--.” Kars killed Willis, then and there.

Willis’ body turned to ashes and dust.

Kars returned to the home to find you doing your classwork and doing your duty as his assistant, rather swiftly. He knew it would be better if you didn’t see the blood on his shoes and pants that had splashed up from Willis’ body. Even more so Jotaro.

He didn’t want to drink the bastard’s blood, even if it spared you a drain session.

He had to alert the Speedwagons, the brat, but he knew he could handle it on his own just as affectively if not better. But he also knew going outside of the agreement they had in place was just as senile.

“Oh, your home!” (Y/N) rose from their chair and semi rushed towards him, their bright eyes and calm features made it clear they had no awareness of the danger they were in.

“How was the luncheon?”

Kars looked at you, silent, his gaze soft and unwavering, as if he was plotting on how to cut your head clean off without a single stray movement, or, if he was contemplating on he wanted to say, or do. Which wasn’t like him at all.

“Kars…?”

“Bathe with me.”

Your Pov

How does one describe the sudden feelings inside yourself that resemble nervousness and also fluster again? Well, that sounds pretty self-explanatory now that you think about it.

“You want me to, Kars you know I can’t-.” You were cut off by Kars lifting you over his shoulder and escorting you out of your study and into his room.

“Kars! Kars what has gotten into-.” Your eyes landed on the blood on his heels and pants, and your eyes widen in horror.

You couldn’t find the words until he set you down onto his bed and started reaching for your shirt. With a quick and gentle movement your gaze snaps up to his gaze and you pull back for a moment.

“Kars, what happened? Tell me, right now.”

Kars didn’t argue, but he did quickly pin you down onto the comforter, his hands holding your wrists beside your head as his fangs bite into your shoulder. A yelp of pain and ecstasy leave you as you feel his aggression then soften, as did his touch along your wrists.

“W-What has gotten into you…?” You found yourself asking in a whisper, which was just enough to get an answer out of him.

Kars had retracted his fangs and let out a deep, ease sounding sigh.

“I killed Willis, he said things he shouldn’t have, and he’s not the only one. There are more… and they’re after-.” He stops himself, and sighs again.

“You aren’t to leave my side; do you understand me…” That made you panic, not that your professor was dead, but that they were after you. He didn’t say it, but you knew that his response to this fact was all the evidence you needed.

“I understand…” You retort, and he pulled back, looking into your gaze, his hands not releasing your wrists, nor did he pull away from you.

You tried to think of what he was thinking, but the thoughtful and almost silent stare he gave you made it so hard to really gauge what he was thinking. You felt the feeling of him raising both of your hands above your head, and then the feeling of scales securing your hands in place, as a snake head loomed beside your face, staring.

Kars now free hands were quick to pop your shirt open which made you gasp out in shock, but he did nothing beyond that, just staring. His hands then caressed your sides, slowly pulling down your pants to where you were bare legged underneath him. Then he started to kiss up your stomach, softly, gently, between your chest, and to your collarbones. The soft attempts of pulling your wrist free the snake only tightened, but you didn’t stop the soft noises which escaped you.

He was being affectionate to a degree you hadn’t seen from him, as if he was worried about you, or was finding the most tender places to bite you just to punish you for being so close to a vampiric psychopath, but realized you had no clue of his intent.

Mercy… that was the best word you could think up right now.

“I wish to bathe, therefore you will join me.” He demanded more than told, an with a quick scoop up of your body you were against him and he escorted you to your parents tub, the one both of you could easily fit in, and turned on the water. His hand holding your thigh as you rested upon his shoulder like a bird. The snake slithering off the moment he rested you along the bathtub edge.

“Kars this isn’t something I can agree to.” You ushered, pinching your knees together and closing the button up shirt against you, hiding as much skin as you could despite him already having had seen it all.

“You will, and if I have to break you to near exhaustion for you to do that much I will.”

You blushed at his promise.

“Is it really that easy for you to succumb to me, I just break you. Liter you with affection or a means of domination to where you aren’t in power, what is it that makes this such an alluring thing for you?”

You couldn’t answer him.

“Or is it because I’m a Pillar, and knowing what makes you tick is just an added bonus?” He smirked a little, standing over you so your head was even with his hips, you looked up, your gaze meeting his purple ones.

You didn’t answer, and Kars seemed fine with that.

You looked down to the floor.

“Is it really that easy for you to do and say such things?”

This seemed to make Kars pause just as quickly.

“You mean flaunting one’s power over the other isn’t exactly normal? Or you mean in this manner?”

“It’s,” You look down again.

Kars lifts your chin.

“Talk to me mortal.”

You look to the side and sigh, meeting his gaze once again, knowing just what to say.

“On who puts their body and heart into the hands of another just for the premise of pleasure and love is one of the strongest and most difficult things to do. But.. once you’re there… its one of the most beautiful things you can have. At least that’s what Dad wrote,” You retort.

“Your Father wrote that?” Kars asked a bit skeptical.

You nod.

“He was a novelist, he published a few novella’s too. He was…really good.”

“Was?”

“He died in service, a few years ago.”

Kars seemed to pause and thought about it, he lost people close to him too.

“I’m sorry.” He ushered, without really thinking.

“I’m sorry too, I’m sure you miss Esidsi and Whamuu. I read good things about them.” You retort.

Kars seems to smile a little.

“I’ll have to read some of your fathers work. I’m sure I’ll understand more on how to work you.” He threatened in a playful terminology before he carefully turns the water of, picks you up, and then carries you both into the tub. Just easing into the water and relaxing as if this was just another thing to bond over.

“Tell me, about your Dad.”

You do.

“Tell me about Esidsi, and Whammu?”

He does.
