Marina: Adora! The 2018 incarnation of She-Ra!

Pearl: Diana Prince! The 2019 incarnation of Wonder Woman!

Aqua: A powerful heroine can come from anywhere at any age. And these two princesses of power came to be incredible leaders and warriors.

Blaze: But which of these fighters will see victory? Let's analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to see who will win in…

All: THE ARENA!

Aqua: Long ago, the planet Etheria was a peaceful kept safe with the magical power of the princesses. But all would change when the Horde rose up in a violent attempt to take over the world. And one of these soldiers was a skilled fighter named Adora.

Pearl: Ok. Minor spoilers ahead.

Blaze: Orphaned at a young age, all Adora knew was the Horde. In her mind, the Horde was a just force hoping to quell anarchy and replace it with order. But all changed when she came across a magic sword in a forest, along with Princess Glimmer and her friend Bow.

Marina: Once she touched the sword, Adora transformed into an eight-foot tall warrior with a tiara and a cape. It was there she made an amazing discovery.

Blaze: That being a princess was contagious!

Aqua: No. That she was the latest incarnation of the legendary warrior, She-Ra.

Pearl: Now aware that the Horde was evil, Adora swore she would help undo the evil that she originally helped cause. And luckily, she was well equipped to do so. Not only was she an incredibly skilled warrior with a lot of training, but as She-Ra, she was nearly unstoppable.

Aqua: She has superhuman strength and speed, energy blasts, the ability to heal wounds, and a healing factor.

Blaze: She also has the ability to heal others, purge foreign bodies like poisons from others, and turn any animal she wants into an alicorn. It’s…really weird but hey. We needed to get Swift Wind in there somehow.

Pearl: Swift Wind is her loyal steed, capable of great speed, super strength, and just being a great friend when she needs one.

Aqua: But she isn’t just powerful. Her time with the Horde offered a lot of training. She’s proficient in several different weapons, is skilled in stealth, and is talented in hand to hand combat.

Blaze: Speaking of which, she possesses the Sword of Protection, a sword made by the first ones, which allows her to turn into her superhero form. This sword can change into whatever weapon she wants, absorb energy and redirect energy, can cut through metal with ease, create barriers, activate first one’s tech, and heal her just by touching it.

Pearl: Soon, the Horde found themselves on the ropes. With these powers, Adroa was nearly unstoppable. She led the rebellion to numerous victories against her envious ex Catra, force-captain Scorpia, and her evil mother figure Shadow Weaver.

Marina: But the more she fought, the more she wondered. Where did her power come from? Why was she the next She-Ra? Where did she come from? What happened to the first ones?

Blaze: Adora decided to go on a quest to find out. And what she found was unsettling to say the least. Spoilers ahead.

Aqua: Turns out that after a devastating attack from an evil immortal being named Horde Prime, the first one’s decided the best option was to genocide all life in the univerese. And their tool to do so was She-Ra and an artifact known as the Heart of Etheria. The previous She-Ra didn’t like this, so she teleported the entire planet that the heart was hidden into another dimension.

Blaze: But the first ones didn’t like this, so they kidnapped Adora from another dimension so there would still be another She-Ra. So after this realization and the fact Princess Glimmer tried to activate the Heart of Etheria to destroy the horde once and for all, Adora did the only thing she could. And destroy the sword of protection.

Pearl: With the sword destroyed, Etheria was saved, at the cost of its strongest protector. She-Ra was gone forever.

*beat*

Pearl: Or was she?

Aqua: As it turned out, the sword of protection wasn’t the source of She-Ra’s power, but rather a way to control her. And the real power of She-Ra was still inside her.

Marina: Adora became a true She-Ra. And with that, a plethora of powers. Not only are all her old powers amplified greatly, but she also has the ability to create portals, teleportation, purging poisons, weapon summoning, and the ability to…walk on air?

Pearl: Right. I’m gonna go to the store across the air, whatcha want?

Aqua: This might be a callback to all the time in the classic She-Ra cartoons where a lot of her powers seemed random and out of left-field.

Blaze: Now with a greater power, Adora set out to destroy the horde and Horde Prime once and for all. And boy can she do so.

Aqua: Adora has broken out of illusions, threw tanks like dodgeballs, shattered a weapon that could reverse planet-wide destruction, can move faster than light, turned a giant spaceship into a tree, and purged out a poison that was specifically designed to kill her.

Blaze: Not only that, but she should scale to previous She-Ra’s like Mara, who could move an entire planet to another dimension!

*Blurb: This scaling is consistent, as it’s stated that all She-Ra’s are equal in power*

Blaze: Oh? And remember that universe destroying superweapon? Adora absorbed it, allowing her even greater power, greater transmutation, and the ability to purge out souls from bodies and destroy them.

Aqua: While her journey wasn’t easy, Adora had finally gained closure on who she truly was. And with all settled, she decided to spread the magic through the universe with her new friends.

Pearl: And in the future, she married her tsundere girlfriend and adopted a child. She can add mother to the list of incredible things Adora is.

Blaze: Metropolis High School. What seems like a normal high school turns out to have a surprisingly high acceptance rate for teenage super villains, such as the prematurely bald Lex Luthor, the classy Cat Woman, and the mother of all yanderes, Carol Ferris.

Pearl: But don’t you worry. The city has six superheroines to spread the word of truth, justice, and girl power. The super hero girls, consisting of Supergirl, Batgirl, Green Lantern, Bumblebee, Zatanna, and their fearless leader, Wonder Woman.

Aqua: Originally hailing from the island of Amazons, Diana snuck off the island to the land of mortals so she could save them. But turns out her lack of knowledge on modern culture ended up with her being mistaken for a foreing exchange student. Seeing that she needed lessons in social interaction, the aforementioned girls decided to teach her the lessons of being a normal teenager in exchange for her friendship.

Marina: So now, Diana lived a new life. By day, she was Diana Prince, straight A student. By night, she was Wonder Woman.

WONDER WOMAN

Aqua: Being over 317years old and born an Amazon, Diana is a powerhouse. She’s strong enough to break green lantern constructs and tough enough to survive beatdowns from kryptonians and giant monsters. She can survive magic fire hot enough to melt steel with no visible injury and survived having an entire building collapse on her. And if she needs to get somewhere fast in a pinch, she can fly.

Blaze: And her Amazonian heritage allows her some incredible skills. She is a master at both armed and unarmed combat, sailing, strategy, leadership, and survival skills. She was capable of surviving on her own in a treehouse in the middle of the city for months.

Pearl: Seeing that Metropolis is based off of New York City, that means the cops there usually…

*smack!*

Pearl: Ow!

Aqua: No politics.

Blaze: Should Diana find her needing some extra arms, she has several weapons on hand, Axes, maces, swords, shields, bows, and of course, her lasso of truth.

Aqua: Like in most incarnations, the lasso of truth can extend nearly endlessly, is practically unbreakable, and forces anyone even touching it to tell the truth. And if she needs aerial advantage but doesn’t feel like flying, she can always call for her pet griffin Steve, who she named after her crush and possibly the most boring man on the planet.

Pearl: Gotta be those blue eyes.

Marina: Questionable crushes aside, her main weakness is her perfectionism. To her, even an A minus is a sign of failure. So to prevent that, she can eat a fruit of Hermes to increase her abilities, but runs the risk of getting her addicted.

Aqua: Now a leader of a team, Diana proved herself a competent leader in many battles. Like the time she defeated a hydra, or helped destroy a city-busting meteor. She’s fast enough to keep up with Jessica Cruz, who can fly across galaxies in a matter of minutes, and beat The Flash in a pie-eating contest.

Marina: She’s also quite tough, being able to survive being smashed into a building with enough force to bring it down, magic fire, and blows from kryptonians.

Blaze: And being head of over six different clubs and nearly 317 years old, she’s very smart. She’s smart enough to outwit catburlgars, older amazons, and even her friends. She truly is a Wonder Woman.

Aqua: Alright, the combatants are set.

Blaze: All outcomes have been accounted for.

Pearl and Marina: Let’s go to the arena!
-
Metropolis City.

All seemed normal for the citizens. They were either drinking coffee, checking their phones, driving to work, or in some instances, heading to school. However, in a place like this, it was only a matter of time until the peace was broken.

Right on cue, something crashed into the center of the city, making a giant crater. Several people peered over the sides to get a glimpse of what just crashed in, expecting an alien or an asteroid. What they saw was even more shocking.

In the center of the crater was an eight-foot tall blonde girl with fair skin, freckles, and blue eyes. She was clad in a white bodysuit with a skirt, a winged tiara, a red cape, gold bracelets, and gold and white knee-high boots. In her right hand was a giant sword with a blue gem in the hilt. The giant woman slowly stood up with a confused look on her face as the people looked at her in awe.

“Uh,” the woman said, “hi there. I’m She-Ra.”

A moment of silence passed. Until a new voice came.

“She-Ra? As in the legendary weapon?”

She-Ra turned her head to who spoke. It was a surprisingly tall teenager with long dark blue hair, a red and blue outfit, gold shoulder pads, a tiara, star-shaped earrings, and red and white knee-high boots. Diana Prince, better known as Wonder Woman, jumped down to meet Adora. She-Ra put her hands up in protest. “Hey, I’m not a weapon. I swear.”

Wonder Woman drew a sword of her own. “I’m sorry. You do seem like a nice person. But I cannot have someone like you posing as a threat to my friends. Prepare yourself, princess of power lest you feel the pain delivered by an Amazon.”

Adora blinked twice. “Uh…could you repeat that one more time. I kind of lost you around posing a threat to your friends part…” She-Ra snapped back to reality as she dodged a slash from the Amazon’s sword. She then weaved through several more slashes and blocked a final one with her own sword. “Oh! Never mind! Doing this!”

With a grunt, She-Ra threw Wonder Woman off. Both princesses looked into the other’s blue eyes. Only one was walking away from this.

FIGHT!

The two came forward again, their swords colliding in a cold, clear ring. She-Ra then followed up the attack with four more powerful swings, each one knocking Diana back a bit. Thinking quickly, Wonder Woman resheathed her sword, and quickly dodged a new slash. Taking advantage of the missed swing, Wonder Woman landed a powerful punch into Adora’s jaw. While She-Ra was reeling, Wonder Woman pulled out a golden rope and tossed it around her opponent’s waist. With a tug, she pulled her in for an uppercut, sending the blonde foe flying into the air. With another sharp pull, the princess of power was buried into the hard concrete ground below.

Spitting out some rubble, She-Ra saw a car flying towards her. With a swing, the car was cut in half. “Alright. Let’s do this.”

Pulling a fist back, she threw it forwards, creating a rainbow-colored shockwave. Wonder Woman was knocked into a building. She then felt a powerful knee to the stomach, knocking the wind out of her. Adora then pulled her opponent up and headbutted Diana right between the eyes, making the Amazon see stars circle her head. Adora then put her opponent in a fire-man’s carry and performed a back-breaker on her before throwing her aside. “So, are we done?” She-Ra asked, leaning against her sword like it was a walking stick.

Wonder Woman rose back up and cracked her spine back in place. “Not even mostly close” she replied.

Wonder Woman then grabbed a parking meter and threw it like a spear at her opponent. She-Ra cut it in half, showering her in coins. While she was distracted, Diana pulled out a bow and fired an arrow into She-Ra’s shoulder. Adora gave a pained grunt and stepped back, eyes closed in pain. Another arrow buried itself into her stomach, eliciting a pained cry. Needing a minute to collect herself, She-Ra had the sword of protection into a shield, making the arrows bounce off harmlessly.

Unfortunately, while her shield protected her from the assault in front of her, she was wide-open to attacks from behind.

Such as a sword slash to the back.

Adora screamed in pain as she tried to turn around and catch her opponent, but she was long gone. She felt the butt of a sword hit her in the back of the skull, knocking her over. Rolling on her back, She-Ra had just enough time to see Diana come down with her sword. Changing her sword back to normal, Adora blocked Diana’s blade and knocked her off. She then leapt back to her feet and fired a shockwave from her sword, knocking away Diana.

“Ok. This is going to be interesting” Adora said between breaths.

Wonder Woman landed on the side of a building. Digging her heels and bending her knees, Wonder Woman shot forwards like a crossbow bolt, slashing her opponent across the chest and sending her slightly airborne. This combo continued before Diana caught Adora in her lasso again and spun Adora around like a carousel, smashing her into several buildings like a wrecking ball.

She-Ra grunted repeatedly as she was banged into metal and showered with broken glass. Wonder Woman then threw her through the air and rushed in for a punch to Adora’s face, when she was cut off by a pair of hooves connecting to her jaw. Adora then found herself on the back of an alicorn with rainbow-colored wings, a long horn, and white fur. This was She-Ra’s faithful steed, Swift Wind.

“She-Ra! You ok? You look pretty roughed up.” the flying horse asked.

“I’m fine. Thanks, Swift Wind” She-Ra reassured her noble steed.

She then had her alicorn fly directly at her Amazonian opponent, intending to finish the fight then and there. Before they could strike though, she was pulled away by a blur of brown. Turning around, they saw Wonder Woman on a creature with brown fur and feathers, with large wings, the body of a lion, and the head of an eagle.

“Good boy, Steve,” Diana said to the griffin, “now let’s get them!”

The two steeds gave a snort before flying higher and higher into the skies until they were above the clouds. Things tensed up until both riders gave an epic battle cry and their steeds flew forwards.

The two swords rang like bells as Steve tried to slash at Swift Wind, making him rear back in panic. She-Ra launched a sword beam at the Amazon and her pet, forcing them to dodge by diving down. Nudging Swift Wind, he gave an impressive whinny and dove after them. Soon, the two were flying side-to-side with each other. The two clashed swords again and again, sparks flew from the strikes. While they were fighting, Steve took a swipe at Swift Wind’s foreleg, leaving a bleeding wound from the strike.

“OWWW! HEY! Cheap-shot!” Swift Wind said angrily. Steve replied with another slash, just narrowly missing clipping his wing.

Swift Wind snorted angrily. “Oh, that’s it. It. Is. ON!”

Swift Wind then pulled up (quite literally) and then flew down, bringing his rock-hard hooves into Steve’s skull. He then turned around and bucked the griffin in the face, making Steve and his rider fly back like a ball hit by a bat. The rainbow alicorn then flew towards them with his head lowered, his horn sparking at the tip. In impressive time, the white horse closed the distance and released a powerful, short-ranged blast of magic from his horn like a shotgun shooting pellets. Wonder Woman was knocked off her steed as Steve was knocked unconscious.

“Woo!” Swift Wind cheered. “Am I not the best!? Oh yeah…Hey, what are you doing?”

He had only now realized that Adora was standing up on his back. “Finishing this. I can handle it from here” she reassured her faithful friend. She then leapt off of Swift Wind and tackled Wonder Woman, wrapping her strong arms around her waist like an anaconda and squeezing like a vice. Wonder Woman cupped her right fist into her left hand and slammed it into her back, making the princess of power grunt in pain. Wonder Woman kept smashing her spine until they hit an ocean underneath them.

For a bit, nothing happened. Then, a wave washed them up on shore. Taking a second to regain their berings, the two came forwards again. She-Ra won the initial swing, knocking Wonder Woman’s sword into a tree. Before she could strike again though, Wonder Woman swung a mace at her opponent’s sword. With another swing, the sword of protection was shattered into shards.

Adora fumbled back. “You have fought valiantly, princess of power,” Wonder Woman said as she raised her mace over her head, “but I am afraid that I have to finish you.”

With that, she brought her mace down like a judge’s gavel.

Before it could smash her opponent’s head in though, Adora began to glow a brilliant gold. When the light stopped, Wonder Woman had seen her opponent had changed. Her hair had gotten longer, her outfit had changed to include a pair of pants, a white and red skirt. Her tiara and shoulder-plates had gotten larger, and she seemed to radiate power now.

She-Ra’s true power had been unleashed. And right now, she was looking at her target with a stoic expression.

Before giving a slight laugh.

“So. Are you going to finish me now?”

With a cry, Wonder Woman swung her mace at She-Ra, just to watch it bounce harmlessly off of a shield that She-Ra had materialized out of nowhere. She then had the shield turn into a sword and cut the head of the mace off. She then continued with several slashes, forcing Wonder Woman to go on the defensive and block with her bracelets. Sparks flew from each blow. Diana pulled out her lasso and wrapped it around her opponent’s ankles. With a sharp tug, Adora fell on her back.

While She-Ra pulled herself up, Diana pulled out a golden fruit and took a bite. With the fruit of Hermes coursing through her, Wonder Woman began to move faster now, striking her opponent with a flurry of rapid strikes. Sadly, all her fists did was bounce harmlessly off her foe’s body. Pulling her arm back, She-Ra threw a heavy punch which was caught by her opponent, who flipped her into a tree. Diana then grabbed her sword and slashed at her, just to have the blow parried.

The two began clashing blades again. Diana’s swings were faster while Adora’s were stronger. Clangs rang throughout the island with each blow. “You are incredible, She-Ra! But the power of the gods courses through me! You cannot win!” She brought her sword straight into her side, just to have it blocked. “No,” She-Ra said in defiance, “I will win. FOR THE HONOR OF GRAYSKULL!” The two brought their swords in for one last clash.

Diana went wide-eyed as this time, HER sword was the one that shattered this time. Before she could do anything else, she felt her opponent’s sword embed itself in her stomach.

“By the great white beard of Zeus! How is this possible!?”

“Because. I. Am. SHE-RA!”

After saying these words, She-Ra fired a powerful beam of energy through Diana. Wonder Woman screamed in pain as she was being disintegrated. Soon, nothing was left of the Amazon, leaving the princess of power standing alone. She then turned around and flagged down Swiftwind. After this, she needed some time with her friends.

Pearl: Wow. First fight in, and already we have a disintegrating death under our belt.

Aqua: This was actually a close matchup. With Wonder Woman’s inter-galaxy level speeds, she was way faster. And while Adora was trained in combat since she was a child, Diana had 317 years of training. If given the chance, she could have definitely blitzed her. Key term here being “if given the chance.”

Marina: Yeah. Wonder Woman could destroy a meteor capable of wiping out a city, but She-Ra could scale to the previous She-Ra, who could use her powers to move an entire planet.

Blurb: Wonder Woman could scale to Supergirl, who has some planet-level feats, She-Ra has shown to be able to overpower and destroy planet-level weapons like Entrapta’s portal and the sword of protection.

Blaze: And keep in mind, Mara had her powers restrained at the time, so her level of power was likely higher. And while Wonder Woman had an impressive arsenal, She-Ra was way more versatile with her powers.

Pearl: Her sword beams and shockwaves allowed her to attack at a long range, her barriers allowed her greater defenses, her air-walking allowed her to keep up with Diana’s flight, and her matter transformation and soul-erasing allowed her to bypass her opponent’s defenses.

Pearl: And when it came to steeds, Swiftwind had Steve beat, with greater intelligence, power, and obedience.

Aqua: And even if Diana took a fruit of Hermes to raise her abilities, it pales in comparison to the power of the Heart of Etheria, which could purge Horde Prime’s existence from the universe. In short, Wonder Woman was impressive, but she couldn’t match She-Ra’s power, versatility, and sheer-overwhelming abilities.

Blaze: Just when Diana thought she was in the clear, SHE-RAn out of time. This was a situation she didn’t ADOR-a. But this fight really BLADE my day.

Aqua: The winner is 2018 She-Ra!

Aqua: MCU Spider-Man, the most recent movie incarnation of the famous web-slinger.

Blaze: Movie Sonic, the blue blur who made it to the silver screen.

Pearl: Movies have been made for centuries to entertain everyone, but these two characters based on existing properties revolutionized how we saw them in this day and age. But who would win a one on one brawl? One way to find out.

Blaze: We’re Blaze and Aqua.

Marina: We’re Marina and Pearl.

Aqua: And it’s our job to see who would win in the Arena!

Pearl: Throughout the Marvel multiverse, there have been countless Spider-Men. From the classic Peter Parker from the main-line universe, to the prodigy Miles Morales, to the zany and goofy Spider Ham. We have spiders who are punk rockers, noir detectives, dinosaurs, and even spider-women.

Aqua But in Earth-199999, there is a Spider-Man unlike the others.

Blaze: I’ll say. This one is a millennial!

Aqua: *smirk* Anyway, this Peter Parker has a few differences from the other spider-men. For instance, when he was a young kid, he was saved by Tony Stark himself. Seeing this hero, and having a chance encounter with a certain spider, lit a fire in Parker. And with new powers and skills, Peter decided to use his powers to help those who couldn’t help themselves. As the incredibly friendly neighborhood Spider-Man!

SPIDER-MAN

-Height: 5’7
-Weight: 145 lbs
-Real Name: Peter Parker
-Former successor to Iron Man
-First movie appearance: Iron Man 2
-Former student of Midtown School of Science and Technology
-Dislike having to much bread on his sandwiches

Marina: Parker now has incredible strength and speed, all in proportion to a spider.

Pearl: So? We stepped on spiders for fun as kids. How impressive could that be?

Marina: Well, on average, a spider can hold something weighing up to 170 to 250 times their weight, and if brought up to the size of a human, could scurry across a football field in two seconds. Spider-Man uses this incredible strength and speed to bust metal and dodge point-blank gunfire or even condensed plasma beams. While plasma isn’t as fast as lasers, it can still move at an impressive 45’000 miles per hour at bare minimum.

Aqua: Like most Spider-Men, MCU Parker uses web-shooters to either ensnare enemies or swing around like an urban jungle Tarzan. His spider-suit also has scanners, trackers, and a drone to aid him in battle.

Marina: But that isn’t the only spider-suit he has. The Iron Spider Armor is a hyper-advanced suit equipped with self-repairing nanotechnology, an oxygen-supplying apparatus, metallic legs, and an instant-kill option just in case.

Pearl: While normally Peter is hesitant to use that option when the chips are down, he won’t hold any punches. And as an added bonus, pieces of the suit can still function even if they’re separated from the suit. Like when fought Dr Octopus.

Aqua: With his powers and responsibility, Peter did his best to be the friendly neighborhood superhero. He even impressed Tony Stark and Stephen Strange with his heroics.

Pearl: Like when he took on Mysterio with his eyes closed and won! Or when he outsmarted and defeated Ebony Maw with his knowledge on movies! Or when he held a ship together for 6 seconds!

Marina: assuming the ship is the size of a typical cruise ship, this means Peter exerted a force of 31 million newtons. That’s enough to crush a car almost 10’000 times over.

Blaze: he also was capable of going toe-to-toe with the other movie Spider-Men’s Electro, who drained an entire power plant’s worth of energy, and survived Willem Dafoe’s pumpkin bomb’s.

Pearl: These bombs could vaporize six humans at once, meaning they explode with a grand total of almost 18 gigajoules. That’s almost 8 thousand times more powerful than standard dynamite. And Peter took these bombs to the face like a champ.

Marina: Yeah, things got bad. Like, so bad that his secret identity was revealed to the world, his aunt was killed, and he was forced to have everyone’s memories erased, including his closest friends. It was…very heartbreaking to say the least. *tears up a little*

Blaze: Uh…but, Spider-Man never truly died! And with the lessons he’s learned, Parker now starts new, helping those who cannot help themselves. So don’t worry. Because no matter what is thrown at him, Peter Parker will always save the day as the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man!

Pearl: Or at least until Sony takes back Spider-Man for good.

Aqua: Somewhere out there, there were a group of ancient warriors guarding an incredible treasure. The Owl Clan fought the Echidna Tribe for the control of the master emerald. Ultimately, while the owl’s were victorious, all but one were wiped out. With no other option, the last remaining owl, Long Claw, fled to a secluded area with her adopted son. A young, free-spirited, energetic hedgehog named Sonic.

Pearl: HE’S THE FASTEST THING ALIVE! Oh wait. Wrong Sonic. Which one is this one again?

Blaze: The one with dimensional travel, Jim Carry as Eggman, and an original design so ugly the movie had to be delayed just to make Sonic look less ugly.

Pearl: Ah. Right.

That’s almost 14 thousand times the speed of sound.

Blaze: And by running fast, Sonic can build up electricity to amp the power of his strikes. He can then use his electricity to be released as a massive burst of electricity like an emp with enough power to cause a black out across the entire Pacific Northwest.

Marina: But if he doesn’t want to run, he can use his warp rings. With them, he can instantly travel from anywhere to the grocery store to entirely different dimensions.

*BLURB: While Tails detected the energy was detected from a different dimension, it was with a specific device rather than Sonic’s own power.*

Aqua: He can also absorb electricity, fire it for close range bursts, and increase his speed.

Aqua: But after everything, Sonic finally got what he wanted. Friends, family, and a permanent place for him to call home. And he will do everything in his power to make sure they’re safe.

Blaze: So tie up your sneakers and grab a chili dog. Because this small hedgehog will do everything he can to make a big impact.

Aqua: Alright, the combatants are set.

Blaze: The data has been analyzed.

Pearl and Marina: LET’S GET TO THE ARENA!

New York. 6:30

All was right for one individual. A guy with brown hair was lounging on the edge of a building with a pair of headphones in his ears. It seemed that all was alright for the teenage-boy’s life.

Until a massive burst of blue electricity burst swept through the city, nearly knocking him off the ledge.

Groaning that he wouldn’t be having a quiet day to himself, he grabbed a backpack and pulled out a red and blue bodysuit and mask.

Looks like a spider’s job is never done.

Standing in the center of a smoldering electronics store, a lone figure stood. The thing was a short creature, barely over 3 feet tall, covered in blue fur and quills with green eyes, a short tail, and red shoes stood in the middle of the wreckage.

“Oops,” Sonic said as he looked around sheepishly, “think anyone noticed that?”

“Yes. I’m pretty sure someone did.”

Turning around, Sonic saw a person, about the height of an average teenager looking down at him, hanging from a web. The person was clad in a red and blue bodysuit with a mask that had huge white eyespots. And on his chest was a red, spider-shaped emblem.

Peter Parker, the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, had just swung to the crime scene. Sonic chuckled nervously. “Hehe…this looks really bad. But I can explain..you see…”

ZOOM!

Before Spider-Man could do anything, Sonic had bolted away. Rolling his eyes under his mask, Spider-Man shot a web at a nearby building and swung after the hedgehog. The chase was on between them.

FIGHT!

Parker shot a strand of webbing at Sonic, forcing the hedgehog to make a sharp left at the intersection. Zipping through the oncoming traffic, the blue blur tried to lose the web-slinger, but the wall-crawler was hot on his tail. He felt something sticky hit the back of his head. With a sudden tug, Sonic was pulled off his feet and thrown into the side of a building. Spider-Man then swung the blue blur into the side of a building, rattling his opponent’s skull.

Spider-Man then web swung at Sonic with a kick, but the hedgehog was prepared. He dodged at the last second and then curled up into a ball, spinning in place like a wheel. He then shot forwards like a bullet and hit Parker square in the back. He then channeled blue electricity through his fists and landed two punches to the wall-crawler’s chest. When Spider-Man recovered, he tried to throw a punch but Sonic merely dodged and landed a roundhouse kick to the back of his head.

“What’s wrong, Spider-Boy? Can’t touch what you can’t catch?”

Parker rolled back-first into a car. Shaking the cobwebs from his head, he grabbed the car and hoisted it over his head. With a grunt, he threw it at his opponent. Sonic simply side-stepped, unaware that this was set-up. He then felt a swift kick to his chest, knocking the wind out of his lungs. He was then caught in a series of swift punches and kicks, each one hitting him like a flurry of bullets. Spider-Man then grabbed him by the head and threw him into the side of a building. Sonic was about to launch a counter-attack, but a series of webs hit him, trapping him up to his neck in webs. The hedgehog fell on his back and tried to wiggle away, just to feel another web attach to him.

“Oh no”

He was then spun around like a merry-go-round and thrown into a giant web that was spun between two lamp posts. “Want to keep going? You seem a bit tied up at the moment” Parker said. Sonic smirked. “Sorry. I’m not the kind of guy who likes to stand still for long.”

Without any warning, Sonic let out a burst of blue electricity, burning away the webs and blinding Spider-Man. Taking advantage of the blinded opponent, he ran behind him and performed a flying kick, aiming for the back of his head.

However, unknown to the hedgehog, just because his opponent couldn’t see didn’t mean he was helpless.

Parker’s spider-senses flared up. Before Sonic could land his hit, he dropped low, letting him whiff the hit. He then landed a surprise uppercut to the blue blurr . Sonic was sent fifteen feet in the air and came down to a round-house kick to the stomach sending him into a nearby store window, showering him with glass and cuts.

“This thing is fast. I can’t give him a minute to recover” Stark’s heir thought as he jumped in after his opponent. He set his web shooters for rapid fire, hoping the smaller space would limit his movement options more than the relatively wide-open city. Sonic began to dodge, but found that he couldn’t move as well. Luckily, he had a work-around for this.

Reaching into a leather pouch on him, he pulled out a small, golden ring. “Think fast, web head!” he shouted as he threw the ring at Spider-Man. Parker easily dodged it, but that was the intention. The ring then grew in size until it was the size of a small swimming pool. And on the inside of the ring was a snowy mountain.

“What the he-?!”

Spider-Man was about to finish his sentence, but then his senses tingled. However, this time he wasn’t fast enough to react as Sonic plowed into his chest, knocking the two through the ring and into the snowy mountain.

“Awww yeah! Spiders and snow don’t mix!”

Parker got back up, groaning. “Ohhh…actually, there are spiders that live in very snowy climates. In fact, there’s a spider that lives on the top of Mount Everest” he said.

“Wow. Nerd.”

Sonic then began running in circles around Spider-Man. He ran so fast that it actually made a tornado, sucking up snow and rocks. Taking advantage of all the debris floating in the tornado, Sonic then began to pinball around his red and blue foe, striking him with dozens of swift blows. The teen genius tried to counter, but his spikey foe was just too swift for him. It was like fighting an entire army at once.

“This guy is too comfortable bouncing around. I can’t hit him like this!” Spider-Man thought.

He then scanned his environment, using his eye-lenses to filter through the snow and dirt. He then saw just what he wanted. Trees and rocks that Sonic was using as springboards. Just as Sonic was about to land on a sizable rock, a length of web tore it away from his path, making him fly out of the tornado screaming. The hedgehog screamed as he soared through the air into a nearby forest. He grunted several times as he collided into several trees until he hit the dirt and rolled in the snow until he came to a stop by hitting a tree hard. Snow on the branches fell, burying him up to his neck as he sat up.

“OoooOOOooooh…that was the worst sledding trip I ever had…” he said woozily.

He then heard the familiar ‘thwip”ing sound of a web-slinger heading his way. Snapping himself back into the game, he popped out of the snow and began to do what he did best.

Running.

Sonic began to weave through the forest, trying to get some distance between them. However, unknown to him, Parker had the perfect way to keep up with him.

“Karen,” he said to his AI, “keep his energy signature on my grid.”

“Afirative, Parker.”

“And keep the Iron Suit on stand-by. Just in case.”

“On it. Anything else?”

“If I think of anything, I’ll let you know.”

He then shot two webs at two trees and shot forwards like a slingshot, landing a drop-kick on the back of his opponent. Sonic dropped rings in surprise as he felt his spine crack. He rolled in the snow like a log before putting his feet against a tree to stop himself. Storing power in his legs, he shot forwards with an electricity-filled punch.

Had Parker not had his spider-sense, he would have never been able to react to it.

At the very last second, he dodged, letting Sonic hit nothing but air. However, Spider-Man’s right hook to the jaw hit its mark dead on.

Sonic was sent into a tree with enough force to crack it in half. Sonic stood up slowly, panting hard. “Owww…ok…now I gotta start thinking.”

He took out a warp ring and waited for Spider-Man to make his move. Just as he hoped, he saw the red and blue hero head his way, going in for a dive kick. At the last second, he dropped the ring on the ground, forming a portal to a baseball field he liked to stay at. Before he could change course, Parker fell through the warp ring and landed on the pitcher’s mound in a heap.

“You sprained your ankle with that landing” Karen said.

“Owww…I figured” he replied

Suddenly, he saw Sonic at the home plate wearing a baseball cap. “And it’s the bottom of the ninth between the Spider-Freaks and the Blue Burrs! And ready to knock it out of the park is the world-famous player Sonic!. He sets up! He Swings! He runs!”

Sonic then tore off into first base, then second, then third, then home, then back to first. He began to run in the diamond-shape, going faster and faster with each pass. Spider-Man began to feel overwhelmed as his spider sense went crazy. All he could see were his after-images. Even his energy sensors were no use. It was like he was everywhere at once. He had one last option left if he wanted to live.

“KAREN! GET THE SUIT!”

As Sonic ran, more and more electricity was generated. His eyes turned blue and his quills glowed. He began to feel a rush greater than caffeine. It was incredible. Then, after gaining enough electricity, he broke from his system and charged towards Spider-Man. This was it! Now or never!

THWACK!

Before Sonic could land his super-charged punch, he felt something smack him in the cheek hard. He skidded across the dirt before hitting the chain-link fence with a dull “thud”. Groaning, Sonic stood back on his feet to see Peter in a new suit. This one was more metallic, with a red and gold color scheme, with four large, golden, metallic spider-like legs coming from the back.

“Wow. That’s kind of weird” Sonic said.

Spider-Man then shot several webs at the hedgehog, forcing him to dodge each attack. He then tried to land an electric punch, but was swatted away with another robot leg. Sonic then felt several strong blows on his body. Sonic tried to counter, but the fight felt like two on eight. It didn’t help that Spider-Man was a more skilled fighter than Sonic.

Welp. If you can’t beat them. Blindside them.

Sonic then pulled out another ring and subtly dropped it on the ground. Soon, both the fighters found themselves in a desert. Spider-Man couldn’t believe his eyes. He got warped again? He should really pay more attention to the battle.

Sonic then got on all fours and began spinning his legs like wheels, flinging sand at his foe. Spider-Man soon found himself buried up to his neck in a pile of sand. Sonic then launched an electricity-fueled tackle on Peter Parker, sending them tumbling through the sand. Sonic hoped that this damaged the suit, but to his amazement, there wasn’t even a scratch on it. Before he could hit him again, he was grabbed and spun around, being wrapped up in layer upon layer of webbing. He tried to fight back, but he was being spun too fast, making him way too dizzy. If his mouth wasn’t practically webbed shut, he probably would have vomited.

When he was done, Parker threw the web ball containing Sonic to the sand. It bounced and then rolled fifteen feet away. “Phew. That was close” he said. “Should I instigate instant kill mode?” Karen asked. “Nah. That shouldn’t be necessary. He’s way too restrained to escape. And even if he did escape, he should be way too tired to keep fighting.”

Suddenly, a beam of light erupted from the cocoon. Then another. And another. More began to erupt from the ball, like a disco ball. This continued until the web-shell exploded. Sonic stepped up. But instead of its normal blue hue, Sonic was now a brilliant golden color, his eyes now red as well instead of green. He floated up until he was eye-level with the spider, not saying a word as he did. Wordlessly, he cracked his knuckles and neck as he glared at Spider-Man. This was Super Sonic, the true power he possessed.

Spider-Man gulped nervously. “Karen,” he said fearfully.

“Yes?” the AI replied.

“Activate instant kill mode.”

Just as the eyespots on Spider-Man’s mask glowed red, he was sent flying across the sand as Sonic closed the distance in seconds and landed a solid slug to the chest. Spider-Man slowly got up, just to see Sonic hovering in front of him. He tried to stab him with his legs, but this time, it was Sonic who was overwhelming them. Any of these sharp appendages that got to close were swatted away with ease. At one point, Sonic grabbed a leg and ripped it off like it was made of paper.

Sonic then grabbed him by the leg and began to spin him like a top before throwing him like a discus. Spider-Man was sent flying into a pyramid, shattering the wall like glass. He got up panting when his spider sense flared up again. Looking up, he saw Sonic flying towards him like a missile.

Spider-man began firing webs and missiles at Sonic, but none of them slowed him down in the slightest. He then grabbed a huge slab of stone and threw it at the golden hedgehog. It shattered harmlessly on him. With no other options, he planted his mechanical legs into the ground and attached two long web strands into the wall, hoping to at least brace himself.

The makeshift brace held up as Sonic his Spider-Man head on…for a measly one second. The two legs were ripped off as Sonic smashed through the pyramid, along with three others. Spider-Man groaned in pain as his head was shaken like a rattle from the smashing. Sonic then kicked him into the sky and followed it up with a charging tackle.

Spider-Man’s armor shattered like an egg. Ribs felt broken, his arm was shattered, and his nose was broken. He saw an airplane fly by. Thinking quickly, he shot a web at the wing and let it pull him away just as Sonic tried to go in for another tackle. He then let himself get carried away as Sonic scanned the skies for his opponent. He then let himself fly as he let go of the web and flew like an arrow with a powerful drop kick.

CRACK!

Sonic didn’t even flinch. Spider-Man, on the other hand, broke both his feet. Sonic then grabbed Spider-Man by the waist and flew towards the ground as fast as he could. It was so fast that Spider-Man’s spider senses only kicked in when they were millimeters from the terra-firma.

BOOOM!

A massive, golden mushroom cloud erupted, turning the sand into solid glass. Spider-Man had disintegrated from the hit, leaving nothing of the brave web-slinger behind. Sonic then straightened up as storm clouds formed around him. He held out his hand as something landed in it. He then grinned.

It was a chili dog. He sure worked up an appetite.

Pearl:..eh. Still kinder than anything Zeb Wells did to Spider-Man.

Aqua: Spider-Man was a tricky opponent for sure. When it came to raw physical strength, Spider-Man certainly took ahead. And he was certainly better trained and more skilled than Sonic. If given the chance, I suppose it could have been possible that he could have won, although it was very unlikely.

Marina: Even with his spider senses, Parker was 22 times slower than Sonic, meaning it was nearly impossible to keep up with the hedgehog. And with the warp rings, Sonic was easily able to keep Parker on his toes and take the fight to wherever he wanted, giving him better control over the environment.

Pearl: Plus, while Spider-Man has fought an opponent who could absorb and shoot a city’s worth of electricity, Sonic’s electricity could cause blackouts throughout all of the North West, which is way more powerful. Enough to almost be at island level.

Blaze: Even if Spider-Man could come up with a plan, he had no counters for Sonic’s electrical abilities and superior speed. And even if he could find a way to drain him of his power, Sonic could just take it back with his power absorption.

Marina: Ultimately, Spider-Man’s best bet for a win was to call on the Iron-Spider suit. But even with it, it probably wasn’t going to be enough. Especially when Sonic goes super, and wipes the floor with him, blitzes him, or just turns him into something else entirely with his matter manipulation.

Aqua: MCU Spider-Man was a skilled opponent for sure. But he couldn’t compete with Movie Sonic’s overwhelming speed, superior power, and overwhelming super form.

Blaze: I guess Peter RAN out of time and just wasn’t SUITED for the CHAOS.

Aqua: The winner is Movie Sonic.

Pearl: Marshall D. Teach, captain of the Blackbeard Pirates.

Marina: King K. Rool, the king of the kremlins.

Aqua: Throughout the oceans, pirates have always been one of the most feared things any sailor could encounter.

Blaze: And these two pirate kings are here to reap the fruits of their labors. We’re Blaze and Aqua.

Pearl: And we’re Pearl and Marina!

Aqua: And it’s our job to analyze their weapons, armor and skills to see who would win in the arena!

Aqua: Edward Newgate, aka Whitebeard, was a legend among men and pirates. While he wasn’t the king of the pirates, he might as well have been. He had a ton of territory under his command, a fleet that rivaled most military forces, and a crew so tight that he considered them his children and them his father. But not all was well in the Whitebeard’s crew, for deep within this crew was a venomous serpent with devious dreams. An unassuming boy who begged Whitebeard to let him join his crew. His name was Marshall D. Teach.

Marina: You see, Teach was a guy who was very big on dreams, especially if they were his. And his dream was to find a legendary devil fruit called the dark-dark fruit. And why did he want that fruit, you may ask? Because that fruit was one of the most powerful fruits in existence.

Pearl: However, that fruit was found by a crewmate named Thatch. So Teach killed him and stole the fruit for himself, running off to form his own crew.

Blaze: He now sails the seas as the infamous pirate known as Blackbeard. A monster of the oceans with no regard for whoever stands in his way. He’s now less a man and more a force of nature who believes it’s his fate to rule the world.

Marina: With the fruit in his belly, Blackbeard gained the power of the dark-dark fruit, making him a darkness human. With it, he can coat himself in darkness to do things like nullifying kinetic force, stopping other devil fruit powers, and even absorbing items into a void, ranging from an entire army to an entire city. If he wanted to, he could cover an entire island with his powers, making sure there’s no safe place for his enemies to stand.

Pearl: and if he feels the need to, he can use a pistol or his clawed weapon to deliver some devastating blows, like when he gave the infamous Red-Haired Shanks his scars. But the Dark-Dark Fruit wasn’t the end of his expeditions. Like the all-consuming darkness he was made out of, he wanted more. So, he set up an even more complicated plan to get his old boss Whitebeard to fight in a war between the pirates and the marines with the goal to kill him and steal his devil-fruit powers.

Blaze: Wait. Isn’t it impossible for someone to have two devil fruit powers?

Aqua: Normally yes. But Blackbeard isn’t a normal person. So through unknown ways, Blackbeard desiccated Whitebeard’s corpse by stealing his devil fruit powers. Specifically, he took the tremor-tremor fruit, which is considered the most destructive devil fruit on the planet. As its name suggests, this fruit allows the user to create earthquakes on any surface by shaking molecules, even allowing him to shatter even the air around him to make devastating shockwaves or shake the earth with enough force to nearly capsize islands.

Marina: Blackbeard uses these two powers to incredible effect. He can shake a city to rubble with a single punch, then absorb the rubble into his body with darkness before shooting it back out like a cannon. I know I said this before, but this bears repeating. There is no safe place around him.

Blaze: This combo also gives him incredible control over the battlefield, constantly making sure that his opponents can’t stay in one place for long. And if that’s not enough, he also has haki, which is a type of life force, with his favorite being armament haki, which allows him to create an invisible armor around his body.

Aqua: With his new power, Blackbeard raised hell on the high seas, creating a pirate paradise for his crew as he hunted for devil fruits.

Blaze: And he has the power to do so. When Whitebeard had the tremor-tremor fruit, he created an earthquake that shook the island of Marineford with a force of 400 teratons of tnt, enough to destroy a continent. And our crooked captain took one of these to the face.

Pearl: It should be noted that to him, it probably felt twice as strong, since the dark-dark fruit magnifies any damage he takes. Thankfully, Blackbeard has an insane amount of stamina. He’s been blown up, double impaled through the chest with fire javelins, submerged in poison strong enough to kill a man in minutes, took a gear second punch to the face by our favorite stretchy boy Luffy, a giant shockwave from a giant golden buddha marine, yet could resume fighting like nothing happened. And while not known for being a speedster, he’s kept pace with the likes of Boa Hancock, who could move around 14 times the speed of light.

Marina: Yeah. It takes a lot to get him to even fall. Even Trafalgar Law, the surgeon of death who could telekinetically throw mountains and Ace, who could create a fireball the size of an island couldn’t stop him.

Aqua: He’s also a master strategist and a convincing talker. He’s so skilled with his words that he actually convinced two former marines to join his side.

And as we said before, any damage he takes will be doubled, be it physical attacks or devil fruit powers. He can also be pretty lazy, preferring to let fate take the wheel rather than making any back-up plans.

Aqua: But with a hand of darkness to call forth the void and a hand of light to shake the heavens and split the earth, he has every reason to believe that fate had chosen him to conquer the world.

Blaze: Welcome to DK Isles! Home to scenic sights, a tribe of intelligent primates, all the bananas you can eat, and cute animal friends. How could you not love this place?

Aqua: Well, if you’re a crocodile king with a desire to rule all he sees, you probably have a reason in your twisted mind. Such is the case with King K. Rool.

Marina: King of Crocodile Island, King K. Rool is kruelty incarnate. All that matters to him is claiming power and wiping his hated rivals, the kongs, off of the face of the earth. As for the reason why he wants to destroy the apes, well, it’s not very consistent. Maybe he wants to take the prosperous lands for himself, maybe Donkey Kong’s grandfather Cranky slighted him in the past, or maybe he’s just croc-shit insane. But one thing remains true for him. He’ll destroy those stupid apes or die trying.

KING K. ROOL

Pearl: Being a crocodile the size of an elephant, K. Rool is incredibly strong and tough, being able to go toe-to-toe with Donkey Kong more than once and even beating him more than once. But just because he’s big doesn’t mean he’s slow. He can sprint like Sonic the Hedgehog, jump like an olympic athlete, and can even perform spin dashes so fast that he ignites the air around him, turning into a living meteor.

Blaze: He’s also a genius, being able to make robots out of kitchenware, turn an entire island into a warship, or make a rocket that can move faster than light out of a barrel. How he did so without setting the barrel on fire since it’s made of wood is beyond me, but hey! Whatever works I guess.

Marina: This might be based on how in real life, crocodiles are surprisingly intelligent animals, forming society and hunting tactics not seen with most other reptiles. And being a crocodile, he can swim surprisingly fast, being able to outspeed sharks, and is ridiculously tough, being able to survive electrocution, great falls, being set on fire, and even the heat of a star. And when push comes to shove, he has some magical abilities.

Pearl: You’re a wizard, Karry!

Aqua: He can move items with telekinesis, create barriers, breathe fire, turn invisible, and even summon lightning from the skies.

Blaze: Wow. What a renaissance croc.

Marina: He also has his helicopter pack to fly, several types of bombs, and boxing gloves that can be thrown like boomerangs. But when he wants to take things up a notch, he can chow down on a crystal banana to turn into a giant with the ability to summon meteors.

Blaze: So he scales up?

Blaze:..You were right not to laugh.

Aqua: Bad jokes aside, K. Rool is a complete monster, capable of overwhelming Donkey Kong in a few instances. And DK is strong enough to punch the moon out of orbit. Given the moon’s size compared to other Mario games, he hit the moon with 4 ninatons of TNT, enough to destroy a star.

Blaze: He’s also a master planner, capable of playing his opponents right into his hands, such as when he set the Kongs on a wild goose chase as he prepared to destroy their home. And it almost worked, until Cranky wised up about it.

Marina: He’s kidnapped the likes of the Banana Bird Queen, Funky Kong, and Donkey Kong himself, built the AI program Kaos, and can send Chunky Kong flying with a single punch. And Chunky…

Blaze: He’s dead.

Marina:..I was going to say “weighed over 2000 pounds”, but I doubt he could survive a punch like that.

Pearl: While he is a genius, he also has more than a few screws loose. He’s quite mentally unstable, is prone to flying off the handle at the slightest moment, and seems to suffer from a unique case of multi-personality disorder. This has led him to think he’s a pirate, a mad scientist, a champion boxer, a pharaoh, a father, and a singer on a few instances. He can also be quite reckless, such as when he ordered the blast-o-matic on his ship to be fired at DK Isles…despite it not being finished yet and more then likely would have killed him as well.

Aqua: However, this insanity makes him an even more dangerous opponent for anyone to fight, be they bird, mammal, fish, arachnid, amphibian, or reptile. So when the king pulls up on his galleon and lowers the gangplank, prepare to bow before him.

Pearl: Alright. The combatants are set.

Marina: And we ran the data through all possibilities.

Blaze: Now for the big question.

Aqua: Who will win in The Arena!?

-

Crocodile Islands.

A lone figure was grumbling to himself. The thing was an obese crocodile with green scales, a golden crown on his head, a red cape clasped together with a blue jewel, a golden stomach, and a huge, mad-looking veiny eye. The vile-looking reptile sat on a golden throne, drumming his fingers together, when a croc in military gear and army helmet came barging in.

“King K Rool, your cruelness, an enemy ship has pulled up on the island, and some weird creature that looks like a hippo had a night out with an ape is making his way to the tower!” Klump shouted. K. Rool turned to face his second in command. “And is the army ready?” the king said.

“Uh…no sir. I kind of…came to you immediately without telling them” the other croc said sheepishly.

K. Rool inhaled sharply. “Klump. If I ever feel the need to off myself, remind me to jump from your devotion…AND AIM FOR YOUR IQ!”

Klump saluted nervously. “Y…yes sir. Would you like me to alert them now?”

The kremlin king shoved his toadie aside as he strode down. “No. You might end up alerting the apes as well. I’ll handle your mess myself.”

Soon, King K. Rool found himself in the woods, looking for his foe. At first, he saw nothing. But then he heard something. It was an annoying, droning laugh. “Zehahaha! ZEHAHAHA!” it repeated over and over. Snarling, K. Rool followed the laughter to the source. And the source was a very ugly creature in his eyes. It was tall and wide, with tanned skin, pitch-black hair and an equally black beard, a black coat lined with orange fur, a black pirate hat decorated with three skulls, a mouth with several teeth missing, and three pistols in his belt. Klump was right on the money in that it looked like a cross between an ape and a hippopotamus.

“What on this good green earth are you supposed to be?” King K. Rool said in confusion. The thing turned his head to K. Rool and laughed in his face. “Zehahaha! I’m the man who will become king of the pirates! But don’t worry. I’m not looking for a fight, at least not yet. I was here to offer you a chance to join my crew! What do you think? Want a chance to join the crew of a man who will be king?”

K Rool scoffed in disgust. “Join you? Why would I join a fool who will be a king when I already am one!? You must be insane! I’m going to give you a one way ticket off this island!”

Blackbeard gave a dark chuckle. “Alright. Don’t say I didn’t offer you a choice though.”

The two greedy captains stared down at each other. There was only room for one king here.

FIGHT!

King K Rool took off his crown and threw it at Blackbeard like a boomerang, just for Teach to casually back-hand the headpiece away, sending it into a nearby pond, where it sank. However, the kruel king then curled up into a ball and glowed red as he shot forwards like a bullet, knocking the pirate into a coconut tree. Several coconuts came loose and boinked Blackbeard on the noggin in comedic effect. K Rool then leapt on his opponent, determined to bite his face off as Teach desperately held him back as he avoided his snapping jaws. Taking advantage of his position, he kicked the king off.

K. Rool landed on his feet. “Nice try, you overgrown oaf! But you won’t get rid of me that…easily?”

The reptile stopped talking as he noticed a black shadow spreading around the area. Blackbeard chuckled darkly. “Get ready for the power of my dark-dark fruit!”

Suddenly, as Blackbeard shouted “black hole,” everything was sucked in the darkness, from trees to stones to animals. KKR barely escaped by hoping to safety. When Blackbeard was finished, the area around him was barren. A large pillar of darkness then rose from his back. “LIBERATION!” he shouted.

At that word, the debris shot out like cannon fire. K. Rool was knocked away by piles of rocks and wood, sending him spiraling on his back. He then felt something pull him towards Teach, straight into a right hook from the pirate, knocking King K. Rool to the ground and making him spit out a few teeth. He tried to stand back up, but Blackbeard grabbed him by the back of his head and smashed his face into the earth.

“Now to make sure you stay down!”

He lifted his foot over the croc’s head, the sole surrounded by a white bubble. “Prepare yourself for the power of the tremor-tremor fruit!”

The moment his foot connected with K. Rool, a giant shockwave shook not only the island, but the ocean around it, kicking up tidal waves. A giant crater formed around them, making them fall into the depths of the pit.

Spitting out a mouth-ful of dirt, K. Rool saw his opponent lumber towards him. Jumping to his feet, he pulled out a blunderbuss, took aim, and fired a cannonball at the pirate. Blackbeard knocked the heavy, iron ball with another shockwave infused punch. Growling like a dog, the kremlin king fired more shots, just to have them all batted away. He then aimed a new projectile and fired it with a wicked grin, hoping that Blackbeard would hit it aside.

“YOWCH!”

The pained yell told him everything. Just as Blackbeard was about to knock it away, the cannonball grew spikes, skewering his hand in several places. The king then pointed the blunderbuss behind him and shot a stream of fire behind him, making him rocket forwards and catching Blackbeard in a painful clothesline. Blackbeard doubled over on his back. Before he could do anything else though, he felt the croc’s humongous jaws clamp around his head and fasten into his chest.

To a normal man, this was painful. To him, it was beyond painful.

Teach roared in pain as he was locked in a deathroll, blood spilling on the ground as he was trapped in a dark, painful world. Frantically, he threw a tremor punch into the side of the reptile’s head, forcing him to let go. Blackbeard rolled out, panting heavily.

“Alright. So you have some spark in you. But let’s see how you do…”

A plume of darkness began to engulf King K. Rool, drawing him into Blackbeard.

“WHEN YOU’RE FACED WITH THE VOID ITSELF! ZEHAHAHAHA!”

Suddenly, King K. Rool vanished. Blackbeard then pointed his hand in the direction of a pirate ship.

“LIBERATION!”

K. Rool was then shot out like a cannonball, smashing through the wood and making the ship split in half. Rubbing the back of his head, the green king saw a backpack with a helicopter’s propeller coming from the top. Grabbing it, he strapped it to his back and took to the skies. He flew through the air until he was right above the yonko. “Hey, fatso! I’m not done here!” he yelled, pointing his blunderbuss at his foe. Blackbeard smiled a wicked smile as he drew a pistol from his belt. “Give me a minute” he replied.

The two then took aim and fired. K. Rool flew to the left to dodge the bullet while Blackbeard held a hand up, creating a spiral of darkness. The moment the cannonball made contact with his hand, all kinetic energy was robbed from it, making it fall to the ground harmlessly. He then dodged two more cannonballs and returned fire with his pistol. One bullet buried itself into his opponent’s left shoulder. K. Rool nearly dropped his gun in pain as he fired a new item at the former member of the Whitebeard Pirates. This time, it was a cloud of blue gas that engulfed Teach, trapping him in a shell of ice. King K. Rool then grabbed the ice sculpture and flew to a mountain, smashing him into it with enough force to shatter the ice around him.

“AHHHH!” Blackbeard yelled. He was in tremendous pain now. He was then dragged through the mountain, smashing into rocks as the back of his coat was ripped to shreds. When they got to the top, King K Rool threw Blackbeard into the crater of a volcano. Blackbeard let out a loud, painful grunt.

“Owwwww….man that smarts!”

He slowly got back up, just to see the vile crocodile throwing several bombs at him. Using the powers of the tremor-tremor fruit, he created an earthquake in the air and sent the bombs back to the king of the kremlins, causing several explosions. K. Rool fell out the air, his helicopter back ruined and his face covered in soot. He landed on his royal rump with a hard thud. Rubbing his sore butt, he felt another earthquake punch to the face, knocking several teeth out.

“So. You want to engage in fistcuffs?” King K. Rool said as he put on a pair of boxing gloves. “Well then. Let’s dance!”

K. Rool then launched a powerful right hook to Blackbeard’s jaw. He then followed up with three jabs to the chest, a left hook to the jaw, an overhead smash, and an uppercut that sent Blackbeard at least fifteen feet in the air. When Marshall landed, he narrowly avoided. He then threw a punch in return, just to have the strike blocked and had a good solid jab to the jaw given for his efforts. When he recovered, he saw that his opponent had disappeared.

“What the!? Where the hell did you go!?” Blackbeard yelled as he scanned the area, fear and anxiety rising in his voice.

“Right here!”

King K Rool then appeared right in front of Blackbeard and landed a nose-breaking punch to his face. K. Rool then turned invisible again and gave him a solid jab to the back of his head, knocking the large man on his face. King K. Rool kept the routine of turning invisible and punching him from all different angles for a while until the traitorous pirate had enough. He released a massive shockwave for all sides, knocking away the crocodile as cracks formed in the crater, causing lava to pour in.

K Rool narrowly avoided being roasted alive, using his charge attack to ricochet off the walls and strike his opponent from all different sides. Enraged, Blackbeard grabbed him in mid flight and held him by the clasp of his cape. He formed a white bubble around his other fist and pulled it back. “See you in the next life, lizard-lips!”

K. Rool took a deep breath as his stomach shined. The moment the shockwave-punch made contact with the reptile’s golden belly, the force was absorbed into the belly of the beast and then was shot back out into Blackbeard.

Blackbeard roared in pain as he was sent flying, his back quite literally pinned against the wall. “H…how the hell did you do that?” he managed to gasp out. King K. Rool snorted before dropping on all fours. “You’d be amazed to see what I can do” he snarled. Blackbeard rose to his feet. “Well then. Let me show you…what I can do!”

Blackbeard then broke into a mad dash to the king. King K Rool roared like a wild beast and charged at the enraged emperor of the seas, galloping on all fours like a horse. The two leapt into the air and pulled back a fist, King K. Rool’s enveloped in a boxing glove while Blackbeard’s was encased in a shockwave bubble. The two punches collided, creating a shockwave that split the entire island they were fighting on in half.

The two struggled for dominance. Blackbeard felt the bones in his arm breaking like twigs. Thinking quickly, he used his darkness powers to pull K. Rool towards him, allowing him to wrap a hand around his thick neck, strangling him.

“You’re a real eyesore, especially with that bloodshot eye of yours. Here. Maybe the eternal sleep of death will cure it!”

Blackbeard then threw the strongest earthquake punch he could muster into the side of the green beast’s face. K. Rool fell straight down into the half of the island he was over, his body igniting like a meteor. The moment his body hit the ground, the half exploded, sending it plunging to the depths.

Blackbeard landed with a grunt. “Tough luck buddy,” he said with a dark chuckle, “but it looks like the hand of fate wasn’t on your side. Zehahaha! ZEHAHAHAHA!” He turned around to leave. He didn’t even get three steps in when he suddenly heard a loud boom. Then another. A giant, green, scaly, clawed hand slammed itself next to him. Blackbeard turned around, his eyes going wide in complete terror as he fell on his back. “N…no way!”

King K. Rool was the size of a giant now, and boy was he pissed off.

Roaring like a dragon, King K. Rool shot a wave of fire at Blackbeard, forcing him to use his darkness powers to absorb the flames, but it was too intense. The remains of his coat was burned to embers as he was forced to run. With a sweep of his hand, he sent a shockwave at K. Rool, knocking the huge reptile back a few inches. The two then pulled a fist back and threw a punch, shockwave meeting giant knuckle head on.

Bad move for Teach.

Blackbeard screamed in pain as his arm exploded, leaving a bloody stump all the way to his shoulder. “So. Are we done trying to be a king, you hippo!?” King K. Rool said in a deep, booming voice. Blackbeard scrambled back in terror. “G…get away from me you monster! I said get away from me!” he screamed in terror and panic. King K. Rool laughed a horrible laugh as he grabbed the pirate in his hand and threw him into the sky. As Blackbeard flew through the air, King K. Rool summoned a meteor to fall from his sky.

The meteor collided with Blackbeard’s body, making both explode into bits.

King K. Rool watched the fireworks erupt. Throwing his head back, he laughed a horrible laugh that shook the remains of Crocodile Island. He was truly the kruelest king.

Pearl: Wow. When we do “Zehahaha stops,” we don’t half-ass it. But don’t hippos normally kill crocodiles for fun?

Aqua: Under normal circumstances, yes. But these aren’t normal circumstances. Despite his ruthlessness, Blackbeard just came up short in several categories. While Blackbeard’s multi-continental feat was impressive, it fell short to the dwarf-star feats of power K. Rool could scale too. And while Blackbeard could react to opponents moving faster than light, K. Rool’s reaction speeds got up to massively faster than light, making him way faster.

Blaze: But the pirate traitor wasn’t completely helpless. Thanks to his darkness and tremor powers, he easily could do things like nullify the force behind King K. Rool’s blows, absorb any attack and send them back, and give him complete control over the battlefield. However, while his powers were his best advantage, the dark-dark fruit was also his greatest weakness. Not only would any attack be drawn towards him, but any damage he took was multiplied by a great margin.

Marina: Not to mention that Blackbeard couldn’t nullify K. Rool’s magic, since it wasn’t a devil fruit power. And while both were smart, K. Rool’s mind was far ahead of Teach’s.

Pearl: Sure, Blackbeard could take advantage of King K. Rool’s insanity, the same could be said about King K. Rool taking advantage of Blackbeard’s cowardice. And K. Rool’s magic and arsenal was way larger and more versatile than Blackbeard’s, easily allowing him to overwhelm Blackbeard.

Aqua: Sure, Blackbeard was a cunning, ruthless, and dangerous opponent. But King K. Rool was too strong to overpower, too versatile to overwhelm, and too smart to fall for the same trick twice.

Blaze: Looks like Blackbeard was CRUSHED.

Aqua: The winner is King K. Rool!

Aqua: Danny Phantom. The half-ghost hero.

Blaze: And Jenny XJ9. The teenage robot.

Marina: Nickelodeon has made countless characters, but these two teens are some of their greatest superheroes ever to grace the screen.

Pearl: But who will live to see another school day? Let’s find out. We’re Pearl and Marina.

Aqua: And we’re Aqua and Blaze. And it’s our job to see who would win in…

All: The Arena!

Pearl: If you were to meet Danny Fenton, you’d probably think he was the most boring person on the planet. Average grades, a bit awkward, and not particularly athletic or talented in any activities. Pretty much an easy target for any bully as long as they were higher up in the social food-chain. But as with all normal kids, he had weird parents.

Aqua: They were ghost hunters, working hard to make a portal to the ghost zone so they could bring the fight to the specters. But it didn’t work because they put the off/on switch on the inside of the portal machine.

Marina: That seems like a bit of a design flaw. Especially when young Danny decided to step inside it and accidentally hit the switch, causing his molecules to be infused with ectoplasma, turning him into a halfa, a being that is half-ghost, half-human.

Blaze: So is he half dead?

Aqua: Perhaps, but now he goes around saving the days from ghosts and ghouls as Danny Phantom.

DANNY PHANTOM

Marina: Now with ghostly powers, Danny set out to fight other ghosts that escaped from the ghost zone. To do so, he manipulates the ectoplasma in him to energy, which he can manipulate however he wants. From beams of energy that can be fired from his hands and eyes to energy shields to block attacks. And in dire situations, he can use an omni-directional scream of ectoplasma called the ghostly wail.

Aqua: While this used to drain a lot of Danny’s stamina, he has since learned how to control it so as to not overtax himself, being able to use it at least three or four times before being drained.

Pearl: He can also turn intangible and invisible, posses other individuals, split himself up to four times, shoot freezing beams, and regenerate from being a puddle of goo on the ground.

Aqua: It’s fortunate that he got those powers. His enemies were just as insane as him, fighting genies, bounty hunters, technopaths, rockers, ghost hunters, and even his bad future self. Twice. During one of those times, his future self had fused with the ghost god of time.

Blaze: And that wasn’t even his greatest feat. He’s gone toe to toe with Pariah Dark, who could destroy the ghost zone at half of his power. While he was no match for him at full power, holding his own against this ghostly Darkseid at the time was impressive, since the zone is an indefinitely sized alternate dimension.

Pearl: and not only is he strong enough to match someone who could destroy this indefinitely sized dimension, but also fast enough to navigate it with ease.

Aqua: Danny is a powerful fighter, but not perfect. Certain ghost-busting technology can seriously injure him, and if he expells to much energy, he will revert back to normal, leaving him vulnerable. And being a teen, he can be pretty…over reactive, to say the least. Like when he decided to ruin everyone’s Christmas just because he got annoyed with his parents always arguing on it.

Marina: But if you think he’ll go down without a fight, then you are sadly mistaken. In fact, you won’t stand a ghost of a chance against him.

Blaze: Nora Wakeman is a bit of an oddball, but she also may be the most brilliant inventor on the planet. She works tirelessly day and night to make anything to keep humanity safe. I mean, it’s either her or skyway patrol, and let’s be honest, those guys suck. But one thing she never had, thanks to being married to the job, was a child. So she decided to kill two birds with one stone and make a robot child that could save the world.

Aqua: So she got to work and started to build a robot that would be both a superhero and her daughter. Thus began the XJ initiative.

Marina: While the first eight XJ’s were deemed failures for one reason or another, such as being too brutal, uncontrollable, or…well depressing, she finally struck gold with her latest and greatest creation, Jenny Wakeman XJ9.

Blaze: Now, while Jenny has the mindset of a teenage girl, she has more than enough abilities to save the day. Not only does she have the strength of a million and seventy men, but is insanely durable, being able to survive lava, meteors, lasers, acid, blunt force, plasma, and bombs that can create earthquakes. And on the off chance she gets damaged, she can self-repair herself at incredible rates, allowing her to reattach torn off limbs, weapons, and even her entire head.

Marina: She can shapeshift herself however she wants, such as turning her hands into claws, body into a giant spider, feet into roller skates, and pigtails into rocket boosters for flight.

Aqua: She has infrared, night, electromagnetic, heat, and x-ray vision, can hear noises hundreds of miles away, absorb electricity and energy, speak hundreds of languages, and link up to other machines.

Aqua: Alright. She has hundreds, maybe thousands of offensive and defensive gear she can call upon at any given notice.

Marina: She has swords, buzzsaws, claws, grappling hooks, drills, tasers, jackhammers, and maces. And if she wants to fight at range, she has missiles, machine guns, plasma cannons, lasers, and more.

Pearl: More unique gear includes freeze rays, flamethrowers, electrical fists, tesla coils, extendo-fingers, eye beams, boomerang razors, and a small magnetic bomb that’s nearly impossible to remove. But that isn’t even the strongest bomb in her arsenal. She has another bomb that’s strong enough to destroy a robot that could destroy a planet.

Aqua: Jenny is strong enough to destroy meteors that could cause planet wide destruction, survived the heat of the sun, and once threw a spaceship into the sun so it would perfectly orbit it, a feat that would require 300 gigatons of force.

Marina: And she once transversed the galaxy in a few hours, a feat that would require her to move at speeds massively faster than light. And while she’s known for being somewhat fragile, she survived getting hit with a beam that could pull the sun out of orbit.

Pearl: Wow. That’s surprisingly tough for someone who’s supposed to be a glass cannon.

Blaze: She also saved Earth, Christmas, and the Cluster Prime, a planet which is like earth but populated by robots. And she’s constantly traded blows with Vexus, a robot queen bee who survived a planet exploding on her.

Plus, she also has trouble with opponents who can turn intangible. But her greatest weakness is that she has the mentality of a teenager, and can be short tempered, selfish, and lazy.

Pearl: no, no. I think her greatest weakness is that she has to save a town full of the most ungrateful people on the planet! Seriously, she saved all your lives how many times, but she’s a freak because she’s a robot? Show a little thanks!

Aqua: Well, the town may turn their backs on Jenny, but she will never turn her back on the world. As long as she has her friends and family, she will never stop fighting for her home.

Aqua: Alright, the combatants are set.

Blaze: The data has been analyzed.

Pearl and Marina: Let’s go to the arena!

In the air, a strange being was flying by. She was unique in that she was a robotic girl, made of blue and white metal with blue flaps on her head that vaguely resemble pigtails. Jenny was on her way to the museum. Not as a visitor, but to stop a thief. She crashed through the roof, breaking through it like it was a sheet of paper.

“Alright. Now where are you?”

“Hold it there!”

Jenny turned around. Hovering over her was a boy with snow-white hair and glowing green eyes wearing a black and white suit with a white “D” on the chest.

“Uh…who are you?”

“Nice try, Technus. Although I have to admit, that is a pretty cool new body. But it’s not going to be enough to stop me from sending your butt back to the ghost zone.”

Jenny looked confused before face-palming and groaning. “Seriously? I’m not the villain here! Alright. You want a fight then?”

Jenny’s hands turned into giant fists tipped with spikes.

“Bring it then!”

FIGHT!

Jenny dashed forwards, throwing a heavy punch that caused Danny to splatter against the wall, turning into a pile of ectoplasm goo. Before Jenny could celebrate though, the goo reformed to the halfa, who shot a beam of green energy at the robot, sending her flying into a wall. Danny then grabbed Jenny by the shoulders and flew up, smashing through the roof and taking both into the air. Danny then threw Jenny aside, sending her spiraling through the air until she corrected herself and activated her wings and boosters. She then turned her right hand into a missile launcher and fired several rockets at Danny. Danny flew around, dodging each until one was too close to dodge.

Jenny watched the explosion. She then scanned the area, looking for her opponent.

“Gee. It sure does look like I won. I mean, it’s not like he’s invisible and trying to sneak up behind me.”

She then turned and threw a punch to the air behind her, hitting something hard.

“Right?”

The thing she hit smashed through the roof of a building, turning visible again and revealed it to be Danny. “Huh. She can see invisible people. Neat” he said dryly.

Jenny then fired a pair of lasers from her eyes, which Danny did as well. The beams collided, canceling each other out. Jenny then fired her head flaps like boomerangs, cutting through the air with the intent to cut Danny to ribbons. However, Danny turned intangible, making the flaps cut through nothing. Just as they returned, she got a hard uppercut to the jaw, disorienting the teenage robot. He then cupped his hands together and charged them with ectoplasma energy before slamming them into her metallic chest, creating an explosion of green energy.

Jenny was sent flying back before being nailed with three more blasts of energy, each hit sending her back further. Jenny managed to correct herself in the air and fire several energy blasts of her own, forcing Danny to dodge them as he closed the distance. Both pulled a fist back, Danny’s enveloped in green energy while Jenny’s grew larger and grew spikes.

The two punches collided, creating a giant shockwave that shook the city. To her surprise, Jenny was the one who lost the game of chance and was knocked away.

“Wow. How could a kid so skinny be so strong?” she asked in amazement.

Danny’s eyes then turned blue as he fired a pair of blue beams from them. “You need to chill” he shouted. Jenny summoned a freeze-rey and fired at him. “I could say the same to you” she replied. The two freezing beams collided, creating a giant ice structure. Jenny grabbed the structure and threw it like a javelin, just for the half-ghost to turn intangible and fly through it.

Danny then tackled Jenny and turned both of them intangible, flying through the earth like it was air. They then were taken into space, where Danny found a good sized meteor and shoved Jenny into it before becoming tangible again, trapping her up to her neck in rock. Danny then flew back and charged up a huge ball of energy.

“See ya around!” Danny yelled as he threw it.

Gritting her metal teeth, Jenny strained herself as she began to split the meteor in half. She then grabbed one half and threw it at the energy ball. It created a giant explosion, forcing both to cover their eyes from the flash.

Danny then closed the distance. He hit Jenny with a palm-strike imbued with energy, knocking her into a nearby plantoid. Jenny slowly got up just to see Danny drop down in front of her.

Along with four duplicates of himself.

“Wanna give up? It’s four on one” Danny chimed. Jenny grew four more arms, each one holding a sword. “I have you outnumbered no matter how many of you there are” she replied.

With that, the four ghosts and the six-armed robot charged at each other. Jenny hacked and slashed, using the flat side of the swords to deflect any shots fired at her. She cut one in half, deflected two shots, hit another duplicate away with the butt of her sword, and pierced a second ghost-clone through the heart. The final two looked at each other and nodded. They began to rapidly fly around her, creating a black and white vortex. They then began to bombard the robot girl with a barrage of green blasts. Jenny’s swords were shot away, along with four other extra arms, as she was peppered with green energy. Thinking quickly, she extended her arms like telescopes, giving both a good clothesline. She then grabbed the two ghosts by the collars and slammed them together, smooshing Danny back into one person. She then smashed him into the ground hard.

“Alright, ghost kid!”

Jenny turned her hand into a buzzsaw.

“Let’s cut you down to size!”

She swung the saw at Danny, just for him to turn intangible again. Danny then flew through her and grabbed something out of the teenage robot as he left her. “Errrggghhh…That felt weird” she commented. She then looked at what Danny took from her.

The object beeped several times in Danny’s hands. He looked at her flatly.

“I just grabbed a bomb, didn’t I?”

Jenny nodded.

“And it’s about to blow isn’t it?”

Jenny nodded again, much more fearful now as she began to fly off.

“...Of course”

BOOM!

Jenny barely made it out of the stratosphere as the bomb blew up, wiping out the planet with it. The explosion’s shockwave sent Jenny flying through space, straight back to earth. Her body caught fire as she made rentry. She closed her eyes and braced for impact as the ground came closer and closer to her.

BOOOOOOM!

Jenny slowly pulled herself out of the crater she made with her face. Her body was a charred black, one of her pigtails was missing, and her eyes were full of cracks. She saw that one of her arms had come loose and had fallen off during the crash. Picking it up, she put it back to its socket and let the arm reattach itself. She was only at 11 percent of power. But at least she had won. Now to…

Wait.

What was that?

With some strain, Jenny turned her remaining pigtail into a satellite dish. She heard something flying after her. With a sinking feeling, she looked up to see her worst fear heading towards her.

Danny was still after her.

Gritting her teeth, Jenny diverted all her remaining power to her arms, turning them into giant energy cannons. “Alright, ghost boy! You want to play hard ball? Let me show you how I play hard ball!” She then fired two massive beams of energy at Danny. Danny took a deep breath and focused all of his energy into his lungs. He then let out a huge scream of ectoplasmic energy. The ghostly wail and energy beams collided, creating a giant burst of light. Jenny felt cracks form all over her body while Danny struggled to stay ghost.

However, only one had enough power to push through.

The beams dissipated as Jenny exploded like a bomb, sending bits of scrap metal and drops of oil raining down. Danny landed on his back, now back to normal. He gasped for air and closed his eyes. A gear hit him on the head as he groaned

“From now on…I’m sticking to fighting ghosts” he said

Pearl: Aragato, Jenny Wakeman.

Blaze: So…how did a walking arsenal lose to a moody ghost boy?

Aqua: well, Jenny wasn’t helpless in this fight. Her senses made Danny’s invisibility useless, she had more skill thanks to the fighting styles downloaded directly to her, and her weapons were more numerous then Danny’s powers. If it were up to that, she might of actually won.

Marina: But unfortunately, that’s where things started going south for XJ9. Sure, Jenny’s ship throwing feat could net her some star to solar system power, but Danny matched blows with someone who could destroy an indefinitely sized dimension. Granted, while he couldn’t beat him straight up, he could definitely hold his ground against him, giving him far greater power. And being able to navigate and fly around this dimension suggests immeasurable speed as well. I mean, Jenny crossing the galaxy was impressive, but nowhere near fast enough to outpace Danny.

Aqua: Another thing to take in consideration is experience. While Jenny was more skilled than Danny, she wasn’t as experienced as him or fought as diverse opponents as he has. On top of that, Danny’s abilities are similar to opponents like Misty and Gigawatt, two opponents who she was constantly defeated by and couldn’t beat on her own. Jenny, on the other hand, wasn’t too far off from opponents Danny has consistently defeated.

Pearl: While it isn’t a one to one comparison for either, it is a good way to help determine who would most likely win and adapt to the other. And while Jenny had a lot of power, she wasn’t as good at energy managing as Danny was, so it was far more likely she would run out of juice before Danny did, even with energy absorption.

Aqua: Jenny was a versatile robot for sure. But Danny’s speed, power, and experience won over in the end.

Blaze: Looks like Jenny didn’t have a ghost of a chance and ended up BYTE-ing off more than she could chew.

Aqua: The winner is Danny Phantom.

Sonic (Sonic The Hedgehog) vs Rainbow Dash (MLP: FIM)

Aqua: Sonic, the blue blur.

Blaze: Rainbow Dash, seven-colored speedster.

Pearl: There is no sensation greater to the body than speed. And these two know that sensation better than any other mammal on the planet.

Marina: Their confidence is unmatched, their speed sensational, but who will win in all out fight?

Aqua: We’re Aqua and Blaze.

Pearl: We’re Pearl and Marina, and it’s our job to analyze their weapons, armor and skills to see who would win in…

All: The Arena!

-

Blaze: On a distant planet, there is a place under siege by a vile scientist who wished to take over the world, reshape the cosmos in his image, and turn the animals on the planet into his robot slaves.

Pearl: And turn the world into an amusement park. Or blow it up. Or some combination of the three. He kind of has trouble getting his motivations straight.

Marina: Hey. Give Eggman some credit. He is persistent and determined to make sure he gets what he wants. However, there was one wrench in the machine for him. A spiny blue wrench named Sonic the Hedgehog.

SONIC THE HEDGEHOG

-Height: 3’3
-Weight: 66 pounds
-Age: unknown (although it’s commonly believed to be around 16-18)
-Likes: chili dogs, McDonalds, freedom, adventure, his friends
-Can’t swim because the creator’s thought IRL hedgehogs couldn’t swim (they can)

Aqua: Befitting of his name, Sonic is incredibly fast. He can leave afterimages, create vortexes, out-run explosions, and considers breaking the sound barrier a casual jog. When push comes to shove, he can even move at the speed of light.

Pearl: You mean with special gear, right?

Aqua: Actually, Sonic has caught a cyan wisp, a creature that can turn into a laser without any gear. While the cutscene never showed the wisp using its power, Sonic saying that it was “almost as fast as him” suggests that it was.

Blaze: But Sonic doesn’t just run to beat his enemies. Using his quills and anatomy to curl up into a ball for his spin dash, charged spin dash, and his homing attack, which can strike a target several times in rapid succession.

Marina: He also can leave damaging energy trails, launch blades of air, control wind and electricity, and use his quills to detect changes in the air pressure to allow him to predict oncoming danger.

Blaze: I can name seven times where that could have been useful.

Pearl: He also has a plethora of shields to aid him in combat. The normal shield blocks an attack, the fire shield allows him to perform a flaming dash attack while defending himself against fire, the electric shield allows him to magnetize metal, and the bubble shield allows him to breathe underwater and grants him a bouncing jump. Oh. And remember those wisps? Well, he can use them to grant him a plethora of powers.

Marina: The cyan wisps turn him into a living laser, the crimson wisp allows him to turn into a meteor, yellow allows him to turn into a drill, the black ones allow him to self-destruct like a bomb, gray grant him the ability to generate earthquakes, and the purple ones allow him to become a giant monster that can eat anything. But my personal favorite are the violet wisps, which allow Sonic to become a pseudo black hole with a powerful vortex. While these forms don’t last long, they are devastating in the right hands.

Blaze: Sonic’s greatest tool, however, are the chaos emeralds. These gems can telekinetically move continents, purge foreign bodies and illness, stop mind control, and allows him to teleport by twisting space and time. And if they’re ever low on juice, Sonic can just recharge them with positive thoughts, provided they aren’t completely drained of energy.

Aqua: The chaos emeralds greatest ability, however, is to grant him the form of Super Sonic.

Blaze: It’s pretty much just going Super Saiyan.

Aqua: Actually, while the image may invoke the famous Dragon Ball transformation, it’s abilities are far different. With Super Sonic, Sonic can fly, move way faster than light, teleport, fire golden energy attacks…

Blaze: Like the kamehameha.

Aqua:…Create damaging duplicates…

Blaze: Like the multi form technique.

Aqua:..Make blinding flashes of light…

Blaze: Like the solar flare.

Aqua:…And is invulnerable to almost all forms of attack!

Blaze:…Ok. That’s a new one.

Aqua: Thank you. The super forms can also resist power nullification and can absorb energy into himself in the occasion he can’t find enough rings. And with enough energy, he can even take his form to a step beyond and become Ultra Sonic, which is faster, stronger, and far more powerful than normal Super Sonic.

Marina: While powerful, these forms cannot last a full minute without a constant supply of rings or energy. But a short time with Sonic is an eternity for his opponents.

Pearl: Sonic is strong enough to blow up a mountain and matched his friend Knuckles, who can deliver 4 megaton punches without difficulty. He repaired the earth after Eggman blew it up and defeated Shadow and Metal Sonic in battle, both of whom were made to be the ultimate life forms.

Marina: He matched Infinite, whose phantom ruby replica could create a star that he could move, and matched Emerl, who had the skills and abilities of all his friends. And in his super forms, he took on Solaris and The End, who could threaten his multiverse.

Pearl: While he did have help for those two, the fact that he could fight them at all is still pretty impressive.

Aqua: So if Eggman shows his mustache, you can guarantee that Sonic will be there to save the day. While he might be a cocky blue hedgehog, he will never give up on making sure the world he loves is as free as the wind that blows.

Marina: Equestria. A magical world inhabited by three types of ponies. The grounded earth ponies, the magical unicorns, and the high-flying pegasi. And one such pegasus was obsessed with flying faster than the rest. A pony named Rainbow Dash.

Blaze: Rainbow Dash had always wanted to be the best flier ever since her first race. And her resolve only strengthened after she stood up to a group of bullies when she was a young filly. In what was supposed to be a simple race turned into one of the greatest feats of aerial performances and one of the most important moments in Equestrian history.

Aqua: After performing the sonic rainboom, a feat that was only talked about in myth and legends, Rainbow Dash found her true calling in life. She wanted to be the greatest flier in the world.

Pearl: Being a pegasus, Rainbow Dash can obviously fly. But in Equestria, pegasi are something of weather spirits, being able to manipulate rain, snow, wind, and even lightning. Rainbow Dash is no exception and can manipulate the weather however she wants, from creating downpours to striking opponents with lightning, provided she has enough clouds to work with. She can also walk on clouds like they were a solid surface, spin so fast she can fly without her wings, and even create tornadoes.

Blaze: She can also generate electricity and rainbow-colored energy in close-range bursts. And her senses are so keen, she can spot small details from miles away and hear a conversation from the same distance as if she was standing right next to the speakers. This is actually similar to several species of birds, such as falcons and owls.

Aqua: Rainbow Dash is incredibly resilient, strong, and of course, fast. She’s so fast, she outraced a bolt of unicorn magic, which can reach the moon in seconds. Assuming the distance between Equestria and the moon are similar to that of Earth and the moon, that means that Rainbow Dash could fly 1.25 times the speed of light. And that’s not her top speed. By pushing herself even further, she can perform the sonic rainboom, where her speed increases tremendously while creating a shockwave that can shake a country. And she can even push herself even further and perform the double rainboom, which is twice as fast and powerful, at the cost of making her unable to fly for weeks.

Marina: It’s a last resort, but boy does it pay off when she dispersed a cloud barrier that covered an entire continent with it.

Pearl: Hang on. Aren’t the elements useless without all six?

Aqua: Well, there are instances where the elements are used on their own, so no. Anyway, the element not only grants her a boost in power, but they can also petrify opponents, revert opponents back to a previous state, purge evil, shoot beams of energy, cure mind control, and create barriers.

Marina: And after helping unlock a crystal puzzle box, she gained a new form called…rainbow power? Am I being punked?

Blaze: No. That’s really what it’s called.

Marina: Ok. Anyway, not only is the form much stronger and faster and more powerful than the element, but is immune to energy draining, drain away energy, can restore all the magic in Equestria, banish foes to another dimension, and sells more toys!

Pearl: You couldn’t help it, could you?

Aqua: Rainbow Dash has proven invaluable in saving the world. She’s tough enough to survive blows from a dragon the size of a mountain, being struck by lightning, and fire hot enough to melt steel in seconds.

Blaze: She has assisted in the defeat in Discord and Tirek, an energy draining centaur who had the power of all the world. Including the power of Princess Celestia, who could move the sun with ease and Luna, who could reshape the dream world, which is stated to be indefinitely sized.

Pearl: She’s so good she was allowed to join the Wonderbolts, an elite team of fliers who are kind of like the Blue Angels. Heck, it’s strongly implied that she became the new leader in the future. And was also implied to marry Applejack~.

Blaze: OOOOOOOOH~! Scandalous~.

Aqua: Alright, the combatants are set!

Blaze: The data has been analyzed!

Pearl and Marina: Let’s get to the arena!

-

Ponyville. A peaceful place occupied by ponies. On normal days, all would be calm with ponies going about on their daily routines of work and leisure under Celestia’s sun.

However, this wasn’t one of those days.

Two blurs whizzed by the equine residents, sending debris and dust flying everywhere. They shot through the town in mere seconds, with no sign of stopping. One of these blurs was a blue hedgehog with green eyes, white gloves, and red shoes. The other was a sky-blue pegasus with pink eyes, a rainbow-colored mane, and a mark on her back thighs of a storm cloud with a rainbow-colored lightning bolt.

Sonic the Hedgehog and Rainbow Dash were racing each other at incredible speeds, each determined to show their speeds to the other.

“Alright, Roy G Biv! Ready to see what real speed looks like?” Sonic yelled with a confident smile. Rainbow Dash gave a confident smirk in response. “I’m not going to see it from you! Unless you hold a mirror to me!” she replied.

The two stopped in the middle of Sweet Apple Acres, each fixing the other up with a cocky smile. Three words went through their heads at the same time.

It.

Is.

ON!

FIGHT!

The two shot into each other like opposing cannon balls, their foreheads colliding with a thud as they pushed against each other. Sonic’s legs began to move in a figure-eight pattern, trying to push through the blue pegasus’s defenses to no avail. Dirt and grass was kicked up from behind him as he began to slowly sink into the hole he was invertedly digging. Rainbow Dash then flew up, causing Sonic to trip and fall flat on his face. Rainbow Dash then wrapped her front legs around Sonic’s waist and flew up at break-neck speeds. She then threw him up, did a loop-de-loop, and planted a powerful kick to Sonic’s chest as he came down. Sonic was sent flying into the side of a barn. Storing energy in his legs, he shot at Rainbow Dash like a bullet. The pony felt a hard blow between the eyes, knocking her back.

Sonic took advantage of the pony’s placement and curled up into a ball and nailed the seven-colored pony with a homing attack. He then followed up with a roundhouse kick to the back of her head. He then curled up into a ball again, bounced up, and then slammed into her back like a cannonball.

The two fell back to earth like a stone, landing with a thud. Sonic hopped off and began stretching his arms and legs. “So? Are we done? Because I haven’t even broken a sweat.”

Rainbow Dash got back to her hooves and snorted. “Trust me. That was just my warmup!”

Rainbow Dash then began flying around Sonic, each time going faster and faster. Soon, Sonic was trapped in a tornado and flung into a mountain. She then tried to land a flying kick to his jaw, but Sonic parried it at the last second. The two then flew into a flurry of swift blows, neither finding the opening they needed. As they continued, they fixed each other with a smug smile. “Feeling winded yet, hedgehog?”

“Not even close, pony.”

Sonic then swept Rainbow’s legs out from under her with a break-dance kick. He then curled into a ball and rolled at the pony at high speeds. Rainbow Dash saw the ball heading her way and turned around, lifting her hind legs for a powerful bucking kick, knocking Sonic away into a pile of rocks. She then flew up and grabbed a storm cloud, shoving it over the disoriented hedgehog.

“Huh? Who turned off the lights?”

“Here. Let me turn them on for ya!”

Rainbow then kicked the storm cloud, electrocuting Sonic. Sonic yelped in pain and shot up. Rainbow Dash flew after her opponent and tackled him hard, taking him higher into the air. The hedgehog managed to break free and launched a series of air slashes at Rainbow, who weaved and flew around each blade of air. Sonic then put two fingers to his mouth and let out a taxi whistle, summoning a small red creature resembling a combination of an octopus and a flame. The red wisp flew into Sonic, turning him into a giant fireball. He then shot forwards like a meteor, the two clearing the distance between them in seconds. The moment he was close enough, Sonic exploded in a burst of fire, knocking Rainbow away. As Dash was sent careening into the side of a mountain, Sonic turned back to normal and threw something at the pegasus, who instinctively dodged. Sonic pulled out a spring and used it to shoot himself at Rainbow, knocking her into the item.

Which just so happened to be a landmine.

An explosion rocked the pegasus’s world, sending her flying back into Sweet Apple Acres. She landed with a dull thud as she slowly got back to her hooves. Applejack trotted over to her seven-colored friend, confused as to what was happening.

“Uh, Dash? What in tarnation is going…?”

“Ohmygosh,ohmygosh,ohmygosh, that was so cool!” the sky-blue pony exclaimed, talking a mile a minute while fluttering in the air, not really paying attention to the orange pony before arching her back like a tightly coiled spring. Applejack’s green eyes widened in horror.

“Rainbow Dash, don’t you dare…!”

Too late.

Rainbow shot off at incredible speeds, shaking the entire area and knocking Applejack over. As soon as she got back up, she yelled at the speeding pony “Rainbow, I oughta…”

She stopped as she saw that the shockwave had perfectly harvested all the apples on the trees, making them all fall perfectly into the baskets around them.

“…thank you?”

As the pony sped to the waiting hedgehog, she pulled out a gold necklace with a red lightning bolt-shaped gem in the center. With her element on, her speed increased tremendously, surprising Sonic and catching him off guard, smashing into him like a missile.

“OOOOF!”

The pegasus then grabbed the hedgehog by the legs and spun like a top before throwing him like a hammer toss into a mountain cove. Sonic rose up to see a beam of energy heading for him.

“Wow. This thing’s full of surprises.”

Sonic promptly ran off with the beam hot on his heels, carving through the mountains like a finger through sand. Sonic then spotted a cyan wisp fly by him. Without a second thought, he grabbed it, turning him into a blue laser, flying at Rainbow who promptly dodged the attack.

“Hah! Nice try!” Rainbow taunted.

Unknown to her, Sonic had flown into a nearby house of mirrors, bouncing off of each until he flew right back out of it and hitting Rainbow Dash square in the back, knocking the element of loyalty off and taking both into the top of a mountain and making them roll in the snow until Sonic landed on top of Rainbow Dash and began riding on top of her like a snowboard.

“Huh. Who knew pony rides could be this fun?” the blue blur joked as they sped down.

Unfortunately, ponies weren’t meant to be ridden like this. Rainbow Dash burst out in a sphere of blue electricity, sending Sonic sky-high. She then shot up like a rocket, a mach cone forming around her. Sonic regained his bearings and then shot down, a mach cone forming around him. The cones grew narrower and narrower, each speedster letting out a war-cry as the space between them grew smaller and smaller. As soon as they were a football field apart, Sonic’s mach cone turned into a Sonic Burst while Rainbow Dash’s turned into a sonic rainboom. The two collided with a deafening boom, making them both fall on a flat surface that was once a mountain top.

Both fighters got up slowly, each eyeing the other. For a few seconds, neither said a word.

Then, something odd happened.

They began laughing.

It started as a series of smirks before both erupted into full chuckles. It got to the point where neither could stand, they were laughing so hard.

“Hehehe…gotta admit, Sonic. You have a lot of skill” Rainbow Dash said as soon as the laughter died down.

“Hahaha…same to you Rainbow Dash. You really gave me a good time” Sonic replied as he got back on his feet. “But I can tell you still have more in the tank. So how about we both go all out and see who truly is the best speedster here?”

Rainbow Dash smiled broadly as she rose up. “I thought you’d never ask!” she exclaimed.

Soon, a rainbow aura enveloped Rainbow Dash as seven chaos emeralds floated around Sonic. Small stones levitated from the energy as both began to glow a brilliant white. When the white light died down, Sonic was now a brilliant golden color while Rainbow Dash’s mane and tail grew longer and spiker as her wings became rainbow colored as well.

This was it. The final bout between Super Sonic and rainbow power.

The two took to the skies at speeds greater than anything imaginable. In no time at all, they were in space, far above the planet. Sonic summoned a swarm of golden afterimages and sent them at Dash like a volley of heat-seeking missiles. Rainbow Dash weaved through each one and cupped her hooves together, charging up a ball of rainbow energy and launching it at Sonic, who kicked it away like a soccer ball.

The two began rushing into each other over and over, flying into a flurry of fists, hooves, and kicks. Sonic then grabbed Rainbow Dash by the forelimbs, trying to use his chaos energy to shut off Rainbow Dash’s power. However, the effort was fruitless as she simply knocked him away with an omnidirectional burst of rainbow energy.

“Woah! I can’t shut her off!” Sonic thought to himself. He then grabbed a nearby meteor and flew at her with it in front of him like a battering ram. Rainbow Dash pulled her forelimbs back and charged up more energy before firing it at Super Sonic, shredding the meteor to bits. Sonic grit his teeth as he tried to power through the attack, charging up his own energy. With a mighty yell, he fired a giant burst of golden energy at his opponent, cutting through the beam until both reached a stalemate.

“Alright. It’s all…” Sonic and Rainbow Dash said in unison.

Rainbow Dash and Sonic poured even more energy into the beams they were shooting, sweat beading from their foreheads as the strain began to make them buckle.

“OR NOTHING!”

The beams increased in power, illuminating the starry sky. Soon, Sonic began to feel drained as his golden hue began to flicker in and out. Slowly but surely, the rainbow colored beam began to push forwards. Sonic tried to pour more energy into his attack, but it was no use. Eventually, the rainbow beam washed over him like a raging current, forcing him to shield himself. He felt the super form give out, reverting him to normal. The last thing he saw through the rainbow light was his opponent. He smirked.

“Good job, skittles. Good job.”

As soon as the beam dissipated, Rainbow Dash fell back to Equestria. Something boinked her on the head as she landed. Picking it up, she saw that it was a black chaos emerald, drained of all its power. She smirked as she looked to the sky.

“Awww yeah! That was awesome!”

Pearl: NO WAY! I thought Sonic had this one in the bag!

Blaze: This was a close fight. We don’t mean 60-40 close. We mean 52-48 close. If going by just their base forms, it might have been a stalemate.

Aqua: Rainbow Dash was stronger and, surprisingly enough, faster than Sonic in base and had actual combat training. But Sonic had better defenses, a wider arsenal of weapons and abilities to throw at Rainbow Dash, and more solo combat experience. Sonic was better on the ground, but Rainbow Dash was better in the air. And both of them could match opponents who could create and move stars. So neither could overcome the other with base abilities alone.

Marina: So really, this came down to their super forms. And here is where things started to tip in RD’s favor.

Aqua: First, Rainbow Dash didn’t have to worry about her super form running out of time like Sonic did. And while Sonic could always gain more time by recharging the emeralds with rings or positive thought, that would leave him wide open for Rainbow to attack.

Blaze: Plus, while both Sonic and Rainbow Dash had energy draining and power nullification, Super Sonic only had a resistance to energy draining, while rainbow power was straight up immune to energy draining. So while Sonic couldn’t shut down Rainbow Dash, she could certainly shut down Sonic.

Pearl: And finally was power. And to our amazement, Rainbow Dash actually had Sonic beat.

Aqua: While it is true that Rainbow Dash never beat the Multi+ threats of her world on her own, neither has Sonic. So in this instance, the elements of harmony are in similar power to the chaos emeralds. But rainbow power was even stronger than the elements, and we can prove it.

Blaze: Lord Tirek was capable of draining Celestia, Luna, Cadence, and Discord, beings who were of similar power to the elements. But with rainbow power, not only was Tirek incapable of draining it, but they completely curb stomped him. Even if Rainbow Dash only contributed one sixth of this power, it’s still above anything Sonic could take or dish out.

Aqua: Sonic was a tough opponent for sure. But Rainbow Dash’s greater speed, superior mobility, and greater power allowed her to get a hard fought victory.

Blaze: Sonic just couldn’t PONY up for this one, and his chances of victory was DASHED.

Aqua: The winner is Rainbow Dash.

Aqua: Megatron. The leader of the Decepticons.

Blaze: And King Ghidorah. The three headed terror of Godzilla.

Pearl: When the tyrant comes knocking, you only really have one response. Bow and pray for mercy, and hope they find it amusing, because if they don’t, you’re dead.

Marina: So let’s go over what they have and see who would win in…

All: The Arena!

-

Pearl: Long ago in a planet called Cybertron, a vicious tyrant laid siege to opposition. His name was Megatron, and he and his Decpeticon army gave the entire planet an ultimatum. Join his cause. Or die by his hand.

Blaze: But what was Megatron’s story? Was he always a power hungry dictator? A peace-seeker who went mad after a failed assassination attempt by an oppressive government? A former gladiator who posed as a benevolent leader as a facade to rule with an iron fist? A super soldier who gunned down an innocent archivist? The answer to all that is….yes.

Marina: Megatron’s been around for a while, and has a lot of incarnations. For this fight, we’ll be primarily focused on the G1 incarnation, along with closely tied media to it like the IDW comics and Transformers Devastation.

MEGATRON

Aqua: As a Cybertronian, Megatron can scan nearby mechanical objects and copy their forms for himself. He’s had a few forms throughout his life, but a personal favorite of his is a tank with reinforced armor, speed far greater than a normal tank, and can even spin like a top for powerful multi-hitting attacks.

Pearl: Megatron is a .1 percenter, which is pretty much like a mutant in the Transformers world, granting him many incredible abilities. Notable ones include the ability to shoot lasers out of his eyes, flight, a healing factor, the ability to copy other Transformers powers, and forcefields. His personal favorite is called a panic bubble, which not only protects him from enemy projectiles, but also traps opponents in with him to make sure that they can escape.

Marina: And for one last trick, Megatron had a backup generator powered by both energon and a miniature blackhole. He can use the generator to teleport and can infuse himself with it with his attacks, allowing him to create singularities and launch anti-matter at his opponent. However, he needs to be careful, because overuse of his blackhole generator will lead to him destroying himself.

Aqua: Megatron’s main weapon is his arm-mounted fusion cannon. A single shot can level an entire city, and it also has several settings on it.

Pearl: Rapid fire, cluster shots, blackhole, tractor beams, and charged shots strong enough to blow up islands. Though overuse of it will cause it to overheat, so he has other weapons to compensate. He can turn his hands into a throwable buzz saw or energon flails, and owns a laser sword, an energy shield, explosives, and in case his opponent is very far away, he can spy on them with his binoculars! I feel like we shouldn’t have ended on binoculars.

Marina: Now leading an army, Megatron set off to conquer Cybertron, only stopped by that pesky Autobot leader Optimus Prime. But unluckily for his Boy Scout advisory, Megatron proved to be more than a match for even the most powerful Autobots. He can single-handedly take on entire armies, blew through Brawn’s near-impenetrable armor with a single shot, and rivaled the likes of the Deceptigod, who had the power of an entire universe.

Blaze: He’s also as tough as he is strong. He survived being at the epicenter of an explosion that pushed Cybertron away from Earth with almost five ninatons of tnt. That’s enough power to destroy a star, and all he needed after that was a quick nap. And if you think you can just run away from him, think again. This silver soldier can fly fast enough to keep up with Starscream, who could cross a galaxy in a few minutes, putting him around 988 billion times faster than light.

Aqua: He’s likely faster, seeing that he’s repeatedly shown to be Starscream’s superior. On top of that, Megatron is a master strategist and manipulator. He effortlessly commanded 1000 battles at once in the omniglobe with ease.

Pearl: I mean, it’s a bit of cheating when you have a super computer for a brain, but it’s cool.

Blaze: Megatron is a great warrior. Unfortunately, he can be pretty short sighted at times, focusing too much on a single goal that he overlooks big issues in favor of a single goal. Such as directly leading to the collapse of his society and almost complete ruination of his planet.

Pearl: Yeah. That was a bit of an oopsie daisies. Fortunately, in some scenarios, he learned the error of his ways and turned his life around, even becoming an Autobot sometimes. Like Magneto in a way.

Marina: But good or evil. Right or wrong. Megatron is a warrior who will never surrender his ideals or back down from a fight.

Marina: Godzilla. 300 feet tall, armed with a radioactive beam that can destroy giant meteors with enough force, and possessing a willpower and drive to win greater than any other creature on the planet, there is almost nothing on Earth that can take him down. But out there in space? That’s a different story.

Aqua: Millions of years ago, a race of intelligent yet violent aliens called the Garogans began to experiment on innocent creatures in hopes of making a perfect living weapon. They experimented on the organism until it was larger, stronger, faster, tougher, and as bloodthirsty as the Garogans themselves. The result was a success.

Blaze: Maybe too much of a success. The creature proved to be uncontrollable, operating on its sadistic mindset and violent tendencies. Not only did it repeatedly attack its creators, it also wiped out all life on Venus and was the meteor that killed all of the dinosaurs. Feels like the Garogans kind of pulled a Bertron there.

Pearl: Soon, the monster found itself face to face with Godzilla, and decided that if the big G was the king of the monsters, then he would become the great usurper. And everyone on the planet will know him as the legendary three headed dragon, King Ghidorah.

KING GHIDORAH

-One of Godzilla’s most evil enemies
-Responsible for the myths of the hydra and the rainbow serpent

Marina: King Ghidorah is a living weapon made for death and destruction. Not only do his three heads provide him with 360 degree vision, but his necks are flexible and strong enough to choke out kaiju as strong as he is. And his wings can flap with enough force to level entire cities or fly across the solar system in a few hours.

Blaze: How fast would that be?

Aqua: About 4 trillion miles per hour, or about 5000 times faster than light.

Blaze: Right. Anyway, Ghidorah has a plethora of energy attacks, like energy beams fired from his wings, an energy barrier to deflect attacks, energy absorption, and his own trademark breath attack with the gravity beams.

Marina: The gravity beams are a unique, multipurpose attack with a variety of effects. They can burn on contact, punch through metal, and even alter an opponent’s personal gravity, allowing a pseudo-form of telekinesis strong enough to make monsters as big as Godzilla float like they were weightless.

Aqua: Other abilities include fire breath, weather manipulation, self-magnetism, and a dome that can cause any organic organisms caught inside to rot rapidly. And if he takes damage, he has a healing factor that allows him to heal from injuries ranging from missing organs to decapitation.

Pearl: With all these abilities, King Ghidorah began to rip apart anything in his way. He’s thrown Godzilla around like a rag doll, killed Mothra on several occasions and time-lines, and won a fight between him and a monster that was made of a combination of his and Biollante’s cells. And he’s so tough enough to survive Godzilla’s strongest attacks, being impaled, being reduced to nothing but a head, and once completely no-sold the oxygen destroyer.

Marina: The oxygen destroyer is a weapon that works by liquifying oxygen in water, causing the target to suffocate and disintegrate in moments. This weapon has seriously injured and even killed Godzilla before, but was completely ineffective to the golden dragon.

Blaze: And taking hits from the big G is no small feat. Godzilla is strong enough to destroy a planet going all out.

Aqua: King Ghidorah is powerful, but not invincible. His sadism is famous for getting the best of him. And while his healing factor is impressive, he can’t heal from, say, having 90 percent of his body destroyed.

Blaze: But as long as he exists, King Ghidorah will either take the throne as the king of the monsters, or die trying.

Aqua: Alright! The combatants are ready!

Blaze: The warriors are analyzed!

Pearl and Marina: LET’S GO TO THE ARENA!

Storm clouds brewed. Bolts of lightning light up the sky as giant waves crashed on the shores of California. But the source of this storm wasn’t anything natural. No, for in the sky was a giant golden figure surrounded by an energy field. When the field dissipated, a giant dragon revealed itself. It was over 500 feet tall, with three necks, two giant wings, two long tails, and a pair of relatively short legs. King Ghidorah let out a massive roar as he landed on the shores, his three heads scanning the area around him. Sure enough, a battalion of tanks came in, aiming their barrels at the giant monster. The three heads smiled, letting the humans fire volley after volley at him for a bit with all the efficiency of a swarm of mosquitoes trying to kill a blue whale before firing beams of lightning-like energy at the mouths, wiping the hundreds of tanks out in seconds. Soon, all of them were destroyed.

All but one.

One tank, however, had avoided the gravity beams and was driving at King Ghidorah at incredible speeds. Unlike the other tanks, this one was silver with a strange purple insignia under the barrel. Ghidorah fired more beams at the tank, just for the tank to nimbly weave through each beam with speed and skill to great for a normal tank. It then jumped through the air and began to change before the six eyes watching it. The tank turned into a thirty eight foot tall humanoid robot with a giant cannon on his right arm and glaring red eyes.

Before King Ghidorah could respond to this new thing, Megatron pulled a fist back and threw it square into the dragon’s chest with surprising strength, causing the beast to stagger backwards a few feet.

Ghidorah corrected himself and glared at the leader of the Decepticons, who was glaring back at him while flying at the eye level of his opponent. “Get off this planet, you three-headed mistake!” Megatron barked. King Ghidorah simply roared in response. Neither were going to give the other an inch.

So they’ll just have to take a mile by force.

FIGHT!

Megatron promptly pointed his fusion cannon Ghidorah, launching a volley of purple blasts at the three-headed monster. King Ghidorah simply fired a gravity beam from his middle head, destroying the blasts. The other two heads lunged at Megatron like a pair of cobras with their mouths open. Megatron swatted one away, but the other clamped on his leg, swinging him like a terrier with a rat. He then threw Megatron to the ground with a heavy thud.

As Megatron got up, he saw a giant, clawed foot coming down on him. He put his hands up, catching the foot in mid-stomp, creating a massive shockwave. He then channeled energy through the giant cannon on his arm. With a burst of violet energy, the foot exploded, leaving a giant bleeding stump.

The three headed dragon hopped back in pain, roaring in agony. This was Megatron’s chance. Pointing his fusion cannon at his colossal opponent, he began rapid-firing at the monster’s chest, ripping holes in him. He then flew up to his horns and grabbed hard. Gritting his metal teeth, he judo-flipped the golden dragon like a sack of potatoes. Ghidorah flew through the air, smashing into a building and bringing it down on top of him. Megatron then charged up another shot, just to get shot out of the sky by three gravity beams. When he fell, a massive black dome was formed around him before he could react.

King Ghidorah flew up over the dome, his wounds had already healed. He had hoped that the dome was rotting the decepticon to nothing. However, a massive golden sphere encased both the kaiju and the dome. Megatron flew out of the dome without as much as a scratch on him, slamming into King Ghidorah like a heat-seeking missile, knocking him back-first into the walls of the panic bubble, causing him immense pain.

“You three-headed worm! Your attacks are fruitless against me” Megatron roared.

Ghidorah’s right head lunged forwards, just to get smacked away by a purple flail coming from Megatron’s hand. He then turned into a tank and began to speed up the walls, firing shots that either hit their target or ricocheted off the inside of the panic bubble, where they would strike him anyway. With his large size and the small area of the bubble, King Ghidorah was a very easy target to hit.

Megatron then turned back into his humanoid form and pulled out a purple laser sword from his leg and flew forwards. With an epic battle cry, he cut clean through the middle head. He landed with surprising grace and turned to the remaining heads with a cruel smirk.

“One down,” he said with a hint of triumph as if he already won, “two to go!”

He was about to charge in for another attack when King Ghidorah let out volleys of lightning and gravity beams. Now it was Megatron who was on the ropes, trying to dodge and reflect the beams, but the multitude of them meant it was a matter of time before he was overwhelmed.

Megatron screamed in pain as the electricity coursed through him. He was then lifted into the air by gravity beams. While immobilized, a strange skeletal structure emerged from the stump where the middle head was. Muscle, flesh, and scales soon covered it. Before Megatron’s optics, the head he cut off has grown back. Soon, all three heads combined gravity beams, sending Megatron flying with enough force to shatter the panic bubble and send the decepticon flying into outer space. As Megatron did backflips in the black void of space, he had just enough time to see something large, fast, and golden heading right for him, swatting him with a pair of tails into a nearby planet.

Megatron fell through the atmosphere like an asteroid until he crashed into the ground. When he got up, he found himself in a grassy field where a tiny purple alicorn looked at him strangely. “Uh…hi there?” she said, waving a hoof at him. Megatron awkwardly waved back before flying back into space. He summoned a shield over one arm and turned his right hand into a flail. He blocked an incoming gravity beam and took a wind-up before smashing the flail as hard as he could into King Ghidorah’s left head, reducing it to a pulp. He then pointed his cannon at the dragon’s chest and let out a massive concentrated beam of purple energy.

The beam ripped into King Ghidorah, sending him into a new planet. A planet with rings and a huge crack in the center. Ghidorah fell back-first into the center of a city, sending the multi-colored feminine inhabitants scattering.

A volley of purple energy shots rained down on the invader king, creating a series of massive explosions. King Ghidorah roared and fired lightning from his wings. Megatron teleported away and appeared right in front of the titan.

“Now then, you abomination! Do you see just how powerless you are before the might of Megatron?!”

Ghidorah let out a monstrous roar, his four eyes on his two remaining heads boiling with rage. He shot a stream of fire at the robot, with Megatron shooting lasers from his eyes, canceling the flames out. However, while the gray robot was distracted, he failed to notice that the missing head had grown back and fired a gravity beam at his right arm, knocking it and the fusion cannon off.

Megatron screamed in pain before trying to lunge for his missing arm, but the dragon was faster. He stomped on the arm, crushing it to pieces.

Megatron fell back, looking up at the three cruel smirks on King Ghidorah’s three heads. Pulling a foot back, the dragon kicked Megatron with enough force to send him flying into a building like a soccer ball. The Decepticon emerged from the rubble, injured and missing an arm, but still capable of fighting. He had one last trick left. It was risky, but it was worth it.

With a battle cry, Megatron flew at King Ghidorah, pulling out his laser sword and weaving through the oncoming gravity beam. With a cry, he cut a huge gash in the belly of the beast. Then, to the amazement and confusion of Ghidorah, he climbed in the wound. “Let’s see you recover from this!” he yelled as he vanished under the scales and skin.

The three heads stared at the wound. They were all confused by this and wondered if they should just tear him out when suddenly, a strange searing pain filled the beast. They began to cough up a strange black and red substance that dissolved whatever it touched. It ruptured from the mouth and eyes in puddles around the dragon. King Ghidorah writhed and roared in horrible agony.

Megatron was filling him with antimatter.

Soon, more and more of King Ghidorah began to disintegrate. He tried to fly, just to collapse on the ground. With one last roar of agony, he exploded into a mass of red and black, leaving nothing of King Ghidorah. Megatron rose from the rubble and threw fist into the air.

“ALL HAIL MEGATRON!”

Marina and Blaze: GLORY TO THE DECEPTICONS!

Aqua: This fight was close. King Ghidorah was 4000 times faster and a better flier, but Megatron had better agility and his smaller size meant he was a harder target to hit. He was also more durable and powerful, being able to match and survive opponents who were hitting him with the power of a universe.

Pearl: And surprisingly enough, both didn’t really have an ability the other didn’t, such as force fields, flight, and energy absorption. But Megatron had one advantage King Ghidorah didn’t have. His antimatter, which would have completely destroyed King Ghidorah if given the chance, regardless of his healing factor or durability. But with Ghidorah’s greater speed, couldn’t he just blitz Megs or avoid all his attacks before he could pull it off?

Marina: Hypothetically, yes. However, King Ghidorah has one major thing working against him. His desire to draw out fights to inflict pain on his opponents.

Aqua: While Megatron can be pretty sadistic himself, he usually tries to end a fight as fast as he can, meaning he’s more likely to end the fight quickly than Ghidorah. This, plus his actual training and greater intelligence, meant that he would most likely think of a plan and kill Ghidorah first.

Blaze: King Ghidorah thought he had the METAL to win, but in the end, his efforts didn’t ANTIMATTER.

Pearl: The winner is Megatron!
