Chapter Text

Everyone likes to believe they are special, that they are unique one in 7 billion, a number so large we cannot even fully comprehend it. But what happens when were not.

Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the third never wanted to be a king. But hear he was king of the Wilderwest he and Toothless were exploring the remains of his castle that was currently being rebuilt. Hiccup found another interesting room.

Past interesting rooms included:

A room that was filled with images and portraits of the past kings (all expect Grimmel the Ghastly had the dragon mark on the forehead)

A room that may have once been the kitchen with a verity of food growing from old cabinets and poles that were once used to dry food.

And Hiccup’s favorite room that he discovered so far, a personal library for the king it was sealed off and stones had to be moved to access it but there was a plethora of reading material about the customs of different tribes of the archipelago.

Hiccup knew there were guards following him from a distance. They needed him to agree to let them follow hiccup agreed if they would stop trying to hide from him and they agreed not to hid from him but from everyone else except him Fishlegs and Camicazie. Right now, they were about three doors away from Hiccup newest place to snoop. because despite the majority of the archipelago being on his side and hiccup no longer being on the run so far 7 people have attempted to assassinate him and seven people have attempted to kidnap him within the 4 months, he’s been king.

The door to this room matches all the others that hiccup has checked so far, a stone frame with a wooded door and aa brass handle. Hiccup opened the door to find a room filled with mirrors. Hiccup goes to look closer at the only mirror with a cover to prevent dust and pulls off the dusty cover. Underneath there is a stunning black mirror covered in dragons that hiccup had never seen before.

“Toothless doesn’t like the mirror we should leave said Toothless in dragonsese

“one second” Hiccup replied, “I just want to look at this dragon closer.” Hiccup leaned in but the second he placed a finger on the mirror he passed out.

Chapter Text

Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the third was enjoying a verry TIPICAL day at the edge. The twins were missing which is never a good sign Snotlout has decided his hut was not good enough and was loudly moving stuff around disrupting the island and hiccups peace. Astrid and Heather had both broken weapons sparing together so Hiccup now had to fix them and Fishlegs was also missing so hiccup couldn’t even talk to him. It was stressful.

Hiccup was now doing rounds to see if anything on the island that might affect there stay there, he and toothless were flying over a mountain when Fishlegs flew up to him.

“Hiccup come quick the twins and I found some one and something when exploring the caves. He might be an intruder or working for the hunters or an enemy of Berk or something Fishlegs rambled.

“Where to” Hiccup asked ignoring the fact that Fishlegs left him alone to go exploring with the twins.

“This way” he led Hiccup into a cave they had never seen before despite all the searching and exploring of the island the have done in the past.

As they twisted and turned down the path, they came to an open cave with a mirror that was absolutely gorgeous it was black and had almost every dragon Hiccup knew off including a large knight fury in the center.

Below the mirror laid a thin short boy with wild red hair a crown nestled in ruffly in it he had mostly plain closes and a purple tattoo that looked like a dragon shaped “S” on his forehead. Overall, he looked like an underfed but ordinary twelve-year-old boy.

There was also a verry small dragon curled around his shoulders it was emerald green and the smallest dragon any of the riders have ever seen.

"I think we should put him in a holding cell separate from the / his dragon at least until we can figure out his intentions ruff tuff can you gently hove them into the cells. Fishlegs, can you get the boy some food I’m going to loop around and see if the boy has any friends, we should be worried about then I’ll meet you there."

Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the third REALLY hated being kidnaped. So far, he, Camicazi and Fishlegs were placing bets on the amount of kidnappings vs assassination attempts that would happen. With this Camicazi was winning because she bet that Hiccup would be kidnaped more times than assassination attempts and now with this one there were eight. Hiccup himself thought that there would be more assassination attempts what with how many times he’s escaped kidnapping but now he trailed behind with 7. Fishlegs -ever the optimist- thought that the number for both would remain equal. (Hiccup is ashamed to admit he laughed when he first herd Fishlegs suggest it. Now he was just sad because the number kept evening out.).  

This new 8^th kidnaping was looking to be one of the worst ones yet. He was locked in a verry large room with no guards Toothless was locked in a smaller cage in the cell next to him so close that they could almost touch and except for the smaller cage toothless was in and the chain locks it was all made of wood. They didn’t even take anything off him including the lockpicking set he kept in his shoe. He opened his door and the door to Toothless smaller and bigger cages before arranging them so they looked closed and returned to his cell.

Hiccup waited to be interrogated (and do some of his own to see why they did it {its always good to know one’s enemy}) he waited for twenty minutes according to the ticking thing after he woke up before a person came in. she was blonde tall and had her hair in a braid. She came up to the cage she realised he was awake and passes him a plate of food “eat, you look like you need it.”

Hiccup staired at the food wondering if it was poisoned before realising, he hasn’t eating since diner and didn’t know how long he’s been here, and he needed some strength if he needed to fight the girl and the others she was getting. They have also been really bad kidnapper so far. However, they even get him out of the caste.

Seven people walked into the room the girl who gave him the food along with a boy with messy brown hair who was missing a leg, behind him there’s a girl with long black hair and shiny silver armor. A large blond boy with a Viking like physique another slightly smaller Viking like brown haired boy. Popping out from behind them were two twins, Hiccup couldn’t quite tell their gender, but they looked like they cause chaos.

“Tell us who you are, and we might let you out “the one with the missing leg said

“One would think you’d know who I am considering you kidnaped me from my castle” hiccup said adjusting his crown (that was still on his head) to bring attention to it.

“Kidnaped, we found you trespassing in our caves” the one legged one said as if baffled at the thought that they did kidnap hiccup.

“Hiccup…” the blond girl started.

“SEE YOU DO KNOW MY NAME. not tell me why and how you kidnaped me” Hiccup said.

“Your name is… Hiccup” the blond girl questioned.

“Yes, see now why did you kidnap me” hiccup said “Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the third, king of the Wilderwest”

“King” whispered the tall beefy brown haired one.

“I think we go off on the wrong foot, I am Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the third” the one legged fake Hiccup says “this is Astrid” he gestures towards the blond girl “ this is Fishlegs,” he gestures towards the large blonde boy who looks nothing like Fishlegs what so ever “Heather” the black haired girl “Snotlout” who had far to small nostrils and brown hair instead of blond but did sort of remind hiccup of his cosigned “Ruffnut and Tuffnut” the twins. Ruffnut hiccup decided must be a girl twin and Tuffnut who did sort of look like hiccups Tuffnut, if not with more chaos in his eyes to match his sister.

Hiccup suddenly felt verry angry at these imposters how dare they use the names of people he knew and the names of people he loved. Hiccup knew he had to get out.

He took a look at the group of teenagers before yelling and pointing outside “SOMTHINGS OUTSIDE IS ON FIRE”

The group turned to look outside, and hiccup slammed the door hitting Astrid and fake hiccup to the ground “toothless come on wake up were leaving” hiccup said in dragonees

Toothless who had only been with hiccup for three of the times he’d been kidnaped grumbled but grabbed the fish Hiccup held out from his plat and sat around Hiccups shoulders as they ran past the group and out onto the island.

The group was too stunned to fallow right away.

Chapter Text

By the time any of them realised what happened king hiccup had escaped and was somewhere else on the Edge Hiccup was wondering when the kid escaped the cage and why he stayed in after freeing himself. Hiccup was really starting to think the kid wasent a dragon trapper.

“All right guys we should spread out to find the “king Hiccup” he is young so he might not know what to do come night fall” Hiccup said doing air quotes around the name.

“Someone should check the cave where we found him’ Fishlegs added.

“Is he king hiccup or kid Hiccup.” Tuffnut mused.

“Right on brother he’s so small he might as well be a baby.” Ruffnut added.

“It doesn’t matter, ether works. You too search the east side of the island, Astrid and Snotlout go west.” hiccup said.

“Hang on the kid clearly doesn’t like up why do we have to find him” said Snotlout.

“Because he’s young and might not know what to do with the dragons we have on the island or how to find shelter. Now Heather you take north I’ll go south and Fishlegs will check were he found them” Hiccup finished.

Fishlegs flew to the cave where they found king Hiccup, he was almons certain it was the right cave but the mirror where that they found king Hiccup by was missing from the area. As Fishlegs go closer to the mirror he spotted a piece of paper it said

“Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the third son of the chief of the Hairy Hooligans, Stoick the Vast, hear his name and tremble ugh ugh and Valhallarama of white arms and chunky thighs, former hair to the Hairy Hooligans and berk king of the Wilderwest, we are sorry to ask this of you, but a storm has unveiled the dragon jewel of this universe. We brought you hear to aid them in finding it and being a hiccup in the story once again. please aid them and we will bring you back to your universe as if no time has passed on Midgard.”

Fishlegs red the note and he and Meatlug flew off south to find Hiccup as they flew Fishlegs saw what might be a shelter. He landed quietly near to try not to scare king Hiccup. The shelter was expertly build, it fit into the terrain well enough that if Fishlegs didn’t know the area and regularly fly past it he may have missed it. As he continued closer, he saw how easy it would be to take apart as If it was never there in the first place.

Fishlegs also herd click, squeaks and other non-human sound coming from inside the tent. It almost sounds like king Hiccup and his dragon were talking in a language Fishlegs didn’t understand.

“King Hiccup,” Fishlegs started “I’m sorry about the misunderstanding I’ve brought something that might explain why we have names that you know. We put you in the cell because we thought you might be a dragon hunter. I’m going to put this hear so you can read it” Fishlegs said placing the paper from the mirror the entrance to the shelter and slowly backing away.

 “We found this near the mirror where we found you asleep in a cave the mirror is gone now, but you can see why we thought you might have thought you were a threat” Fishlegs said.

The clicks and squeaks that stopped when Fishlegs started talking were bake and then a head of red hair somehow still adorned with a crown popped out grabbed the letter and went back in.

“Ok fake Fishlegs since the gods hate me ill help, what do you and the rest of your group know of the dragon jewel?” Hiccup asked.

“Nothing do I have to be called fake Fishlegs” Fishlegs asked.

King hiccup looked Fishlegs up and down “yes, you share the name of one of my best friends who we’ve done so much for each other and who I would much rather be with right now instead of on another Thor forsaken quest. I can think of worst names if you’d like” he told Fishlegs then made some noise towards Meatlug.

Meatlug took apart his structure and let down so he and Fishlegs could get on. King hiccups dragon seamed to be complaining in the mystery language with Meatlug and hiccup interjecting occasionally.

When the found hiccup Fishlegs told him to gather everyone to talk.

Chapter Text

Fake Fishlegs had gotten fake hiccup to gather everyone in a big meeting room. There was a big table with a cooking pit in the center and stools surrounding it.

“Fake Fishlegs could you show them the paper starting with fake me” Hiccup said.

Why do we have to be fakes” fake Tuffnut asked.

“Well fake Tuffnut you’re the one who looks most like your counterpart in my world, and something tells me you don’t act anything like my Tuffnut who was too kind to pass “Frightening Foreigners” and “advanced ruddrery” Hiccup said. “Of course, some of you Ruffnut Astrid and Heather don’t exist in my world or if you do, I haven’t met you yet.”  

Tuff your turn to read” Ruffnut said passing the not to her brother “how come I don’t exist do you have no girl   friends” ruff nut said.

“I have Camicazi who is a girl and my friend, and I have Fishlegs I not really close with anyone else, nor do I need to be” Hiccup said.

“And what about girlfriends” Ruffnut asked.

“I leave that to Fishlegs and ignore Camicazi threating and shoving away potential suitors who only want me because I’m king and saved everyone” Hiccup said.

“Actually, I have a question about that, how did you become king at 12ish any ways?” fake Hiccup asked.

Hiccup staired at fake Hiccup then toothless started laughing “agh hahhaha he things your twelve hhahahah”

“Toothless its not funny” Hiccup said in dragonese the still laughing dragon ignored him “I’m fourteen not 12” Hiccup finished in Norse.

“Wow your small even smaller than our Hiccup was at that age.” Fake Snotlout said ignoring the glare from his Hiccup.

Hiccup felt really wired about this Snotlout. He was like a softer version of the one Hiccup knew. He was rude and talked back to fake Hiccup. But he still did follow what hiccup said he questioned it orders but still did them. Hiccup couldn’t help but wonder if this was what it could have been like with his Snotlout if he lived.  Would they have been able to be friends’ cousins?

“Are / can you talk to dragons” fake Fishlegs asked.

“It is called dragonese and every dragon can speak it I can try and teach you.” Hiccup said.

“Yes, pleases this conversation has gotten so off topic. Other Hiccup hot did you become king and what is the dragon jewel.” fake Hiccup said.

“I became king because no one lese would have freed the dragons and ended the war. Not my dad not Sontfaced Snotlout and definitely not Alvin.”

“Alvin the treacherous”

No Alvin the poor but humble potato farmer, yes Alvin the treacherous. He stole the king’s things that I found and tried to become king him self, but I convinced the dragon guardians that I could be king over Alvin and that I found the things. The dragon jewel is something that could wipe out all the dragons. A piece of amber with two dragons fighting each other one has a sickness that could kill all the dragons. The note said a storm unearthed it do you know any beaches where storms tend to wash up.” Hiccup asked the group.

“Nothing haunted toothless cant take another haunted beach” toothless said.

“You’ll be fine a haunted beach would be more likely to have a dragon jewel” Hiccup replied in dragonese.

“The small dragons worried for nothing” a large black dragon with huge green eyes that had been hiding in the dark said, “toothless and his rider-Hiccup have disproven lots of ghost story’s” the fake toothless said.

“Your name is toothless too” Hiccup asked fake toothless in dragonese, “why did you name your dragon toothless he has teeth” he asked fake hiccup in Norse.

Their retractable,” he said, “show him bud.”

Fake toothless retracted his teeth into a goofy smile.    

“See toothless is the better dragon he has teeth, so he’s better then the small dragon” fake toothless said.

No toothless is better he has his whole body not missing a fin like you” toothless said.

“Toothless can shoot plasma can fake toothless do that.”

“Toothless is a sea dragon giganticus maximums.”

 Hiccup was secretly very glad that toothless was willing to admit that because even after he found out he kept insisting that he was a toothless daydream.

“How bout we stop arguing. Me and my toothless can call you toothful and you both try to get along” Hiccup said.

“The dragon talk is fun and all, but can we please let the rest of us in” fake Snotlout said.

Well, both of our dragons are named toothless so me and my toothless will call yours toothful and they are going to try not to antagonise each other” Hiccup said glaring at his toothless as he said the last bit.

“Now what were we meant to be talking about again” fake Hiccup said.

“Beaches where things wash up me you and kid Hiccup can check your maps latter because I can’t think of any” Fishlegs said.

“What are our other selves like” asked fake Tuffnut asked.

“My Tuffnut is kind and struggles to insult people and yell at them. He doesn’t have the look of chaos look you have in your eye, and you look the most like anyone sharing a name you and Ruffnut kind of remind me of Camicazi” Hiccup said.

“Cool I’m the more chaotic” Tuffnut awesome.

“Ya no ones more chaotic than us”.

“I think Camicazi is more chaotic on our first meeting in a roman prison cell challenge me to a sword fight and she always talks when she fights and she comes with me if she thinks there is a chance of fighting or a chance to burgle anything and I miss her, and Fishlegs” Hiccup said not noticing the other teenagers shaking their heads to get him to stop challenging the twins chaos ability

“Oh well show you chaos” the twins said.

“Nous some tro chaotique. Tu va voir” the “chaotic” Tuffnut said in French.

“Oui nous sont,” Hiccup replied also in French.

“Tu parle francai mon pittit ami”

“Votre Hiccup ne parle pas”

“Hay French boys want to clue us in” Ruffnut asked.

“Na” they both said.

“Let’s go show kid hiccup the meaning of chaos Tuffnut said running off.
