Chapter 1: Overthinking

Chapter Text

Viktor was drowned on his own thoughts.

The sight of his recently deceased dad was in his mind. He was feeling anxious. He just came out as trans — to himself, and only he knew. He was thinking of how would his father react if he came out to him.

"A disgrace. You're nothing but a disgrace, number Seven. You always mess everything up. Can't you be useful for once in your life?" The words of Reginald were banging on his head for a while since he thought of coming out to his family.

"You're just... ordinary." His dad's words seems to have a bigger — and, of course, a worst effect. That phrase appeared many times on the boy's thoughts.

His fear of being rejected and left aside was consuming him slowly. It felt like he was going to have a panic attack soon, since his hands started shaking uncontrollably and he felt his breath getting faster and faster each minute.
He grabbed his bottle of anxiety pills and took two of them. When he saw, he had run out of his pills. He took a deep breath before he stood up and went to the living room, leaving his bedroom.

Viktor was sure of who he was, he just had to tell it to the whole family of six, not counting five, who's missing since they were 13, and Ben, who wasn't really around. He still remember the night he died. Dad was so disappointed at his siblings he didn't even have the time to talk about Ben.
Missions and missions appeared and Viktor had to handle most of it. He was very busy. He was still learning though, and Pogo was a great help in that. He was the dad he never had. Well, he had a dad, but he doesn't count the shitty one. Thank god Reginald wasn't their real father; he couldn't bear having a part of his DNA inside him.

Viktor couldn't bare himself to think of the ways this could go wrong. Coming out is something hard, he had no doubt on that. But how hard?

He chose to speak to someone of his trust first. Someone who could help him and always did. Of course, one of their siblings. To be specific, his only sister.

He knocked on the door a few times. In the third knock, he heard someone saying: "Come in." from the inside.

"Hey Allison." Viktor said as he prepared his words carefully inside his head.

"Vanya! Glad to see you around. You didn't show up at lunch." She answered, turning to face Viktor.

"Yup, about that... I think- No, I'm sure. I want to be called as Viktor now, i-if that's okay..." He was so nervous that his hands were shaking again and not even the medicine was making the proper effect on him. It only got worse when Allison looked at him with disgust.

"What are you talking about, Vanya? You don't get to choose this. You don't get to choose anything in your life." She said as she got closer to Viktor in a threatening way. What was happening?

"W-what? But I- I thought-"

"You thought what? That you could just fool yourself like this? Stop doing this shit to yourself. No one will ever love you for who you are." She said as she kept getting closer and Viktor moved backwards.

"Stop! Please, stop!" As he screamed these words, he could feel an unsettling pain and so much feelings of terror, so brutal and so big that he felt like he was just about to explode.

And as Viktor woke up in horror with a loud sigh, he started to breathe with difficulty. He was having another one of those panic attacks that followed him. He grabbed his bottle of anxiety pills to calm him down, but there was nothing there. He throwed the bottle to the ground and tried to calm down himself, but his shaky hands was telling him that it wasn't working.
For his sake, someone knocked on the door and then got in.

"Viktor? Why didn't you show up for- Oh shit." Allison started saying, but she stopped right away when she saw his condition. "Hey, hey! Look at me. It's okay, just breathe." She said, going in her brother's direction. Allison was used to Viktor's panic attacks, but it still freaked her out every time it happened. It's happening frequently now.

Viktor followed what she said. He breathed in and out, slowly, until he catched his breath and started to calm down.

"Thank god. You scared me." Allison said, relieved.

"Sorry. I've been having the same dream for a while and it's driving me crazy. And I've got this really bad headache." He confessed, putting both of his hands on his head because of the strong headache he got.

"That dream? Vik, you know I'll always be there for you. You are family, and that's what matters to me." She pulls him for a hug when she finishes talking in a kind voice. Viktor chuckled and gave the hug back before he stood up, still feeling that awful headache but trying to ignore it.

"I'm heading to the living room. You coming?" He stayed put in front of his door.

"Yep. Right behind you." She nodded and both of them went to the living room of the Academy.

In the living room was Klaus, talking to themselves. At least, for Viktor and Allison, it looked this way. They were actually talking to Ben. They knew better than anyone their sibling's powers of talking to the dead, but it still was akward.

"Who do you think you're talking to?" Klaus said to thin air with a bothered face.

"A drunk ass person who just thinks about themselves, apparently." Ben scoffed.

"Hey! I've been sober for like, half and hour! Isn't that impressive?" They said, not ironically, grabbing a bottle of vodka and drinking it. Ben looked like he was going to punch Klaus right in their face, but then remembered he can't.

"Um, Klaus? Who are you talking to again?" Viktor asked with a hint of confusion.

"Hmm? Oh, just a boring ghost that appeared here." He shooed Ben away with his hand and Ben rolled his eyes.

"Hey, I never asked. Why are you with that headache anyway?" Allison asked.

"I don't know. Probably some side effect from the testosterone." Viktor answered with his eyes closed. "The only thing I know is that it fucking hurts. And the worst part is that I have my violin audition tonight. How the hell am I going to make it without my anxiety pills and this pain?" He sounded concerned.

"Easy. Don't do the audition tonight!" Klaus said, thinking it was easy to cancel such a big thing.

"It doesn't really work that way. It's important to me, you know. My only chance. And I-" Viktor was stopped by a ringing phone on the hall. He sighed, knowing what that meant. He stood up and answered the phone. "Number Seven here. What's the problem?"

"I need help from the Umbrellas. Please. They want to steal nuclear bombs and start a war. Come quick." Viktor looked unamazed as the guy spoke these words in a rush.

"Okay, just give me your location." Viktor answered him, hearing gunshots in the background.

"The white house. Come quick!" And then the guy rang up.

"A mission? What is it now?" Allison asked, standing up from the couch.

"Apparently, some guys want to start World War Three. Call the others." Viktor said quickly as he took a deep breath and hit the mission alert bell. He tried to ignore the loud noise and started looking for strategies to give Luther something.

Yeah, Luther was number one, aka the leader of the family. But Viktor always helped with the plans, the missions, the location, everything. He tried so hard to see his family doing good, and he was happy that he was sucessfull. He didn't need the attention from the public his family had, he was good helping from behind the stage.

Luther came downstairs quickly and he glared at his siblings all gathered in the living room, Viktor being in the middle of them. The alarm was already shut off.

"Hey. What's the issue?" Luther looked at Viktor for an answer, since he's the one that usually says the basic information about the mission.

"A couple of russian guys are planning to take some nukes and cause a slaughter in the white house. After that, the rest of the world. Besides Russia, of course." Viktor said in a quick, but not panicked voice. "I'm sure you guys can handle it. Just be fast before they blow the shit out of this world." He also handed him a plant of the white house so that they can come up with a plan.

"Um... okay, so we enter right here, in the ceiling, and we would be relatively close to the russians. Where are the nukes?" Luther pointed to a location, but then his attention went to Viktor, who had his arms crossed.

"Uh, I guess that they're in the basement, hidden." He answered his brother.

"Why do these weirdos have nukes anyway?" Klaus seemed confused.

"They're probably hiding them in a safe place. But russians are considerably strong and their technology is far better than the government's." He answered his sibling.

"Well... Yay, nukes! Nukes are cool, I'm coming." Klaus commented and looked at the map in the table.

"Okay. Then we're going into the basement and protecting the nukes from the russians. I can stay and protect while Allison and Klaus are fighting some russians upstairs. You guys enter from above, I enter from below. That shouldn't be hard, right?" Luther finished telling them the plan, and it sounded kinda good actually.

"Yup, you go and I'm staying and watching everything from the news. You better hurry up." Viktor said as he turned on the TV and put it on mute.

"Wait, what about your audition tonight?" Allison asked with empathy for her brother.

"Ah, don't worry. I'll go when you come back; if there is time, of course." He answered kindly.
Viktor has always been a kind-hearted person. He always cried when his siblings stepped on ants. He couldn't bare to watch someone getting hurt, much less when that someone was one of his siblings. He always did something to help. He wanted to feel useful for once.

"Okay. Take care, Vik." She nodded in agreement and left the mansion with their siblings. Viktor was left with the news to watch and take care of the situation.

"I guess I can practice while they're on their way." The boy said, grabbing his violin and playing it, melodically.

A while has passed by and Viktor has been watching the news for a while now. He can see that the mission was a sucess as Allison talked to the reporter. Luther was right by her side, Klaus was nowhere to be seen, probably they were at the car. They don't really like to show themselves.

"It wasn't a tough mission, to be honest! Just another day with the Umbrella Academy." Allison spoke happily with the camera. Soon she and Luther went away in the car and Viktor put the TV on mute, looking at the time. It was 22:14 p.m. and his audition was 19:00. Well, today wasn't his day.

"Do you have your mind occupied with something, Master Viktor?" Pogo asked as he walked towards the boy on the couch.

"Nothing important. Hey Pogo, by the way, I'm out of my pills. When will I get more?" He answered but soon changed the topic.

"Oh, I will handle that, don't worry. Tomorrow morning you will have them by your desk." Pogo quickly answered with a smile. Viktor gave the smile back and nodded.

"That's great, thanks. I'm just waiting for them to arrive so I can get some sleep." He pointed at the TV, where the news were showing his siblings in the car, driving back home.

"That sounds good, Master Viktor. I suppose you haven't been getting enough sleep, am I right?" Pogo asked with a hint of concern in his voice.

"It's probably just another side effect of the testosterone. I'm okay. How did you knew that I wasn't sleeping well, though?" He was a little amused that Pogo could tell everytime he or his siblings felt bad or sick.

"For being such a important figure in your and your siblings life, it's not hard to tell when you are feeling bad. Sr. Reginald trained me for this. I'm glad I can fulfill your needs." The chimp smiled kindly at the boy, who gave the smile back.

"Thank you, for everything." Pogo nodded and left the room, leaving Viktor alone with his thoughts again.

Half an hour later, his siblings came back from the mission and Viktor got up from the couch, heading to the group.

"Hey, how was it?" He asked them.

"Fine, I guess. I'm tired, so goodnight." Luther said dryly and went to his bedroom upstairs. Viktor glanced at Allison and keep up with her pace.

"So? Did everything went well with you?"

"Yeah. I just need a break and sleep peacefully. Night, Vik." She sighed and smiled at her brother, heading to her bedroom upstairs aswell. Viktor then looked at Klaus, who was grabbing a bottle of alcohol to make the ghosts go away.

"You sure being drunk is a good idea?" Viktor asked them with worry.

"I always handle it my way. Don't worry, Vikky! I'll survive." They answered drunkly, going to their bedroom too.

Viktor was again alone. He decided to call it a night after working on his sibling's publicity and shit. In his bedroom, he layed down on his bed and closed his eyes, trying to fall asleep.
Of all the times he tried, none of them worked. He was fully awake and didn't feel even a hint of sleep. Soon, he decided it was best if he left the house to catch some fresh air.

TW: SA

With his leather jacket and his binder back on, he left the house and walked towards Griddy's, looking for a night coffee. He entered the place and was surprised that he didn't see anyone but the employee working and cleaning. He sat on a chair by the table and ordered a coffee. He thought of doughnuts, but he wasn't feeling like eating sweet stuff on the dead of the night. His coffee came and he started drinking it. Soon, he noticed the employee was new there and he raised an eyebrown.

"Hey, I don't think I have ever seen you around. What's your name?" Viktor asked him as he drank the coffee.

"My name is Zack. Nice to meet you. What are you doing this late here?" Zack seemed interessed.

"Wasn't getting any sleep. So I came here to have a coffee." He answered kindly, but soon he felt a huge headache returning and he put his hands on his head. "Fuck, my head hurts..."

Zack was smiling. He didn't move to help Viktor.

"That's weird." He said, still smiling. Viktor felt weak now, like someone drugged him. Was that the coffee? What have Zack done to him? "I can give you something to make you feel better." Viktor wasn't dumb enough to know he wasn't talking about medicine. But he was too drugged to react. When he blinked, he was being taken to inside the kitchen where they prepare the doughtnuts. Viktor was scared at what was happening, and he couldn't barely move without falling. He tried pushing Zack away, but he didn't have the strenght at that vunerable moment. Zack pinned him in the wall and just looked at Viktor with a sadistic smile.

"Please, don't..." Viktor said in what looked like a sigh of tiredness and fear. He looked like he was drunk or just very sick. The drug Zack used wasn't that strong, not enough to make Viktor almost pass out. But he wasn't paying much attention. The employee quickly gave him a kiss against Viktor's will. That was showing when Viktor tried to push Zack away with his little strenght. When Zack started taking his jacket off and touching him inappropriately, he knew he had to do something. With a sudden strenght, he was able to push Zack off him. But it didn't even made him fall.

"What do you think you're doing?" Viktor tried to run away with his drugged body, but it was very hard in those conditions. Zack grabbed Viktor's arm and pinned him again, now kissing his neck. Viktor was already breathing heavily of his anxiety and the awful situation combined. But one thing was for sure: he wasn't going to let that happen to him.

He glanced at every side of the kitchen and saw a pair of scissors. He pushed Zack again with that little strenght he had left, but it was enough for him to grab the scissors. When Zack was about to pin him again, he shove the scissors on his throat, making him gasp for air and cough blood. Viktor even stabbed him on the chest before he fell down on the floor.

Viktor was still drugged, and now covered in blood. He never hurt anyone on his life. He felt horrible. He didn't know if it was the drug's fault or the way he had been touched by a stranger. He didn't even know if Zack was dead. Oh god, he hopes not. Even his worst enemy doesn't deserve death. But he did believe in punishments.

In any way, he couldn't just stay there. He had to do something. His first thought was call the police, but his family did everything to make Number Seven stay out of the cameras and the news. It could cause a bad impression if people knew further about the ordinary brother in a extraordinary family. So, he discarted that option right away.

With blood on his clothes and face, he tried to calm himself down without the anxiety pills, but it was nearly impossible. The drug effect wasn't going off, for some reason. God, he really needed that pills. He once in a while reached for his pocket, but there was nothing there.

He didn't have much left to do, so he decided to let the police handle the situation themselves. He grabbed his jacket from the floor with sadness and a hint of disgust. He felt disgusted by the last memory he had of his dead brother. Ben used to wear this jacket all the time when they sneaked out of the academy.

He felt horrible. He really needed to get out of there.

At dawn, Viktor was taking a shower and cleaning his bloody body. Not just that, he felt like he needed to clean up after being violated in such way. After the bath, he dressed up and went towards his room, but he flinched as he saw the person in his room.

"Jesus, Diego! What the hell are you doing here?" He looked kinda annoyed to see his brother so early in the morning, sitting on his bed.

"Nothing much. Just wanted to ask a question. It should be quick." Diego looked at Viktor with a emotionless expression. That was unusual for him.

"Go on, I'm listening." He said as he dried his hair with the towel.

"Why did I see you at Griddy's a few hours ago with a unconsious body? Surely isn't your style of solving things." Viktor's heart skipped a beat. He started to get real nervous.

"I- I uh, got into a disagreement." He lied, stuttering as he spoke.

"I'm not dumb, Viktor. You may think the opposite, but I can assure you that I saw everything perfectly. It didn't look like a disagreement when you knocked that guy out stabbing him. Are you going to tell me the what happened or what?"

"Huh, so you think you can just show around and bother my routine by doing some strange accusations?" Viktor didn't answer the question, trying to change the topic.

"Don't play fool on me, Viktor. Tell me what were you doing." Diego grabbed one of his knifes, ready for threatening.

"Why do you fucking care so much about this?" Viktor snapped at his brother, who quickly stood up.

"I care because I am the fucking vigilant and I can't let that happen on my watch!" Diego said, angrily.

"The guy did bad things to me. There, does that makes you feel better about the guy I've knocked out?" Viktor said with a hint of sarcasm, but also telling the half truth. Diego raised an eyebrown.

"What kind of bad things?" He asked, having his arms crossed.

"Can you go away? I'm too tired for this conversation." Viktor said coldly.

"No. I'm not leaving until you say what the fuck happened."

"Please, leave. I have a reharsal in a few days and I need to get that first chair. That said, I need to practice." Viktor said, telling at least one truth but not what really happened to him.

Timid little Seven could never hurt an ant, much less someone. He had always been kind, thoughtful and shy. The idea of him hurting someone would never cross Diego's mind, much less killing someone.

If he did something like that, the situation must've been real bad. Even worse than he thought when he saw his brother knocking a random guy out with a pair or scissors.

"Fine. If you insist on keeping secrets, that's fine. You've always been a stubborn brat anyway." Diego said arrogantly as he headed to the door.

But then he stopped in mid-track.

"Who... who was that guy again?" Diego glared at Viktor once again.

"He said his name was Zack. I have never heard about him working on Griddy's before. Have you?" Viktor answered, feeling uneasy when talking about that guy.

"Shit. I think I do. Viktor, what the fuck did he do to you, honestly?" Diego came back to his room and stopped in front of his brother.

"I um, I don't really want to talk about that." As Viktor answered briefly, Diego already knew what had happened. And the worst thing was that, a while ago, he wasn't caring about what made Viktor do what he did, he was just caring about the safety of the city.

"Jesus, Viktor. Why didn't you tell me when I first got here?" He now seemed concerned about his brother.

"I didn't... I'm sorry." He sighed between his words as he spoke.

"That bastard. I should've know he wasn't good news. I should've reported him when I could. For fuck's sake, I'm an idiot." Diego sighed.

"Hey, don't blame yourself. Please. It wasn't your fault. I'm okay now." Viktor said, forcing a smile to confort his brother.

"Viktor, stop. You suck at lying." Diego rolled his eyes and went to the bedroom door. "I'm going to report to the officers now and y-"

"What? No, stop!" He reached for his wrist and grabbed it tightly.

"What is wrong with you? Let me go, Viktor!" He released his grip from his wrist not much after.

"Just don't mention me, in any form. Please." Viktor pleaded.

"I wont, weirdo. Do you really see me as a bad vigilant?" He said half jokingly.

"I rather not answer that." He chuckled lightly, and Diego almost smiled. It was good seeing his siblings happy, especially when something like that happens.

Diego made his way to the front door and went to the police station to report what happened.

Meanwhile, Viktor decided that he really needed some sleep after all that he's been through. At least he was trying to sleep. The things he had been through today haunted him as he closed his eyes and lived everything again. Sleeping wasn't really an option, since he didn't want to think about being there again.

That said, he decided to go through some files that he kept on his desk. Files about missions the Umbrella Academy has done, newspapers showing the six kids and Reginald by their side and some new problems to be double checked if it was worth the Umbrella's help or if it was something the cops could solve by themselves.

Viktor, when he was a kid, used to feel sad seeing his siblings all going on missions and training while he just watched from far away. Sure, he was trained to do other things without the use of special abilities, but you could see a hint of jealousy in his face when he was younger. He didn't feel like a part of the family. He felt excluded, left behind, ordinary. Like he wasn't worth being born in the same day as his powerful siblings. But he tried his best to look okay and hide his feelings so that he doesn't bother anyone.

That wasn't good, obviously. He had Five, who was his best friend when he was younger. But when they were 13, Five ran away and didn't come back. Viktor had the hope he would, but he just didn't. His hope was gone after some years. To make everything worse, Ben died at 16 and it all kinda crumbled into ashes. After Five, Ben was his closest friend in the family. He had helped him a lot when Five went missing. But then, he was gone and nothing really mattered to Viktor. The family also wasn't in their best state. But they tried to stay focused and keep training in honor of Ben's death. At least, that was what they said in front of the cameras. Who knows what they really were thinking?

Diego ran away from the house when he was 17. He decided to patrol the city and mind his own business, not wanting to appear in cameras again like he did. He didn't like the attention. But he still sneaked in the house to see Mom when he could (when Reginald wasn't around). Viktor remembered seeing him around sometimes. He knows that, behind all of that proud, Diego truly cared about his siblings. It was family, after all. He could never abandon them. He won't say it out loud, but he would do anything for his family. Not Reginald though, when he was alive. He always hated Dad.

With heavy eyes, Viktor tried to sleep again, and this time he really could sleep peacefully without thinking about that guy or anything.

But then again... Zack really messed up with him.

He touched him. Kissed him. He looked at the mirror and saw the mark on his neck. He still felt disgusting.

Could he have done worse things if Viktor hadn't stopped him? What the fuck was he capable of? He drugged him, that's for sure, so he was capable of doing worse. What would he have done?

Was it such a big problem at this point? Or was it just drama? Was Viktor faking it to make himself feel bad? Would he do something like this?

Why is he crying? Is he not strong enough to face his problems like his siblings?

No, he's not. He isn't strong or tough. He's weak. Worthless. No one care enough to feel bad if he dropped dead tomorrow.

He's just ordinary.

Viktor knew he wasn't capable of going to sleep so soon.

Chapter 2: Trauma

Chapter Text

As Allison woke up from a great night of sleep, she got up from her bed and went to the bathroom to do personal hygiene before anything. She got downstairs and made some coffee for her and her siblings to have breakfast together.

At least she hoped they would come down to eat. It's hard to have a proper meal with all of them.

As she waited, she made some scrambled eggs, grabbed a toast, set everything at the table and took a seat.

As she would already expect, Luther came downstairs first, as he always did. Actually, he was surprised to see Allison awake so early. Normally he's the first to wake up.

"Why are you up so early? Did something happened?" Luther asked as he took a seat next to Allison.

"Good morning to you, too. Nothing happened, I just woke up suddently and decided to get downstairs already. Didn't know it was so early." She answered before eating a toast.

Klaus got down next, taking a seat in front of Luther. When they looked at the table, they grunted in a complaining way.

"Did you drink last night?" Luther asked, stealing an egg from Allison's plate.

"Just a little, but don't worry. I'm going to drink even more now." They answered, grabbing a little bottle of alcohol from their pocket and drinking it. Luther sighed.

"You're very dumb, you know. Can't you sober up for a day?" Ben asked them, sitting next to Luther but glaring at them. He was ignored, so he rolled his eyes.

"Where's Viktor, by the way? Doesn't he always wake up early?" Klaus asked, finishing their bottle of alcohol.

"Don't know either." Allison answered, turning to look at the stairs. She was already worried and thinking about coming into his room to see if he was asleep or having another panic attack, but her worries were gone when she saw him coming downstairs and taking a seat next to Klaus.

"Morning, Vikky! How are you doing?" Klaus asked him, but they didn't got an answer. Just plain silence. Viktor was staring at his plate for a while now.

"Viktor, are you okay? What's that on your neck?" She asked, with a hint of concern. The purple-ish spots on his neck were definetively concerning. Did he got hurt last night and she didn't notice because she was too tired to pay attention?

"What? Oh, it- it's nothing." He raised his head and covered the marks on his neck with his hand, saying these words quickly and stuttering a bit.

"Are you sure? It looks pretty bad, like someo-"

"I'm fine! I said I'm fine, okay?" He interrupted her from finishing the sentence, looking nervous.

"...If you say so. I'm just worried about you." She sighed. Everyone was watching the scene in silence.

"Huh. Yeah, okay." Viktor said ironically, and Allison furrowed her brow.

"What's with that attitude today? I've never seen you like this." She said after crossing her arms.

"Stop pretending that you know me. You don't. Neither of you do." He snapped a little too loud, like it escaped from his lips what he kept inside for too long.

"I do know you, Viktor! I'm your sister! We are almost the same!" She got up from her chair as she said these words.

"We might share a face and share a last name, but we are not the same. You always got Dad's attention. You all. But did you even think about me? Or were you too busy trying to make Dad love you?" He got up from his chair aswell, saying some more truths that lied beneath him.

He felt so angry.

Oh, but so angry.

They were so unfair with him and he didn't even notice. Until now. Now he felt the need to say whatever he wanted when he was a kid and couldn't.

"You're such an hypocrite, Viktor. You too wanted Dad's attention, though you never got it, like us."

"Oh, but you did. You were trained every single fucking day with Dad. You went on missions together. You had at least something. Now you ask me, what did I have? I was lucky to even stay in this fucking academy. Dad wanted to send me away so he doesn't see the disappointment he raised. But I chose to stay. Because I wanted to be with you." He said, surprisingly calm, but he was actually very angry on the inside. Everyone looked surprised, but Allison. She looked angry.

"You victimize yourself too much. Just because you didn't get Dad's attention. Just because you have daddy issues it's no excuse to put the blame on us." Allison refuted, angrily.

"Guys, maybe we should stop this pointless discussion." Luther said, finding himself as the voice of reason.

"You're saying I victimize myself? What about you? Can't stand things going out of what you planned. But hey, you can just rumor them and make them love you, right? Once selfish, always selfish, am I right?" Viktor said in a sarcastic tone (even if he's not being sarcastic at all) while he stared at Allison right in the eyes. It was turning into a fight all of a sudden.

As Allison was about to answer, Diego came towards the kitchen and looked at Viktor.

"Morning. I wanted to talk to you. I went to the police and tried to sort things out by taking them to Griddy's but the guy was gone when we got there. I don't know if the case was called off, I hope not. But I'll find that asshole and kill him with my bare hands if I can." Diego said quickly, making Viktor's heart skip a beat and make him anxious. I mean, he just said that in front of the whole family, and now they all knew abour what Viktor himself was trying to forget.

"What? What happened?" Luther asked in concern as Allison seemed unbothered. It's hard to tell if she was even listening to Diego.

"Nothing. Diego, thank you. But you don't have to involve violence in this." Viktor answered him, still nervous, but trying to seem serious.

"You already did. I'm just finishing the job." He said, crossing his arms. This answer was a little unexpected. He knew he had stabbed the guy, but it was self defense. Still, it felt wrong. And being reminded of that isn't very nice.

"What the hell are we talking about? Where's all the discussion and the drama?" Klaus asked as they took a sip from their other bottle of alcohol.

"It's nothing, for fuck's sake!" Viktor snapped.

"Is that the reason about the purple stains on your neck? Did you got into a fight? Huh, I guess no one can ever like you, can they?" Allison said, still unbothered by the situation. She wanted to keep the fight going — she had some nice arguments now. But Viktor didn't feel like it anymore.

"Stains on his ne-" Diego changed his gaze from Viktor's face to his neck and raised an eyebrown. "Wait, the guy did hit you to give you those marks, right? That's the reason you came here in the morning, you got into a fight?" Diego concernedly asked.

"I uh... Not that exactly..." He tried not to face Diego, who was trying to understand what actually happened to his brother.

"So what did he- ...fuck, please tell me it's not what I'm thinking." Diego now grabbed all the pieces together.

Coming home in the middle of the night after beating the shit out of a random guy in Griddy's for "no reason", having marks on his neck and cuts on his lips, like he (or someone else) bit it with strenght and looking nervous every time he mentions last night.

Diego thought Viktor got involved in a fight with the employee of Griddy's and assumed the guy had started hitting him, so he defended himself.

Though, he never stopped to ask the reason.

And he doesn't think that was a fight anymore.

"I don't..." He stopped in mid-sentence and took one of his anxiety pills that Pogo had gave him earlier.

"God, can't you handle a little pressure? If it already makes you anxious, I guess you're weaker than I thought." Allison was really trying to come back to the fight, but as everyone gave her a negative stare, she rolled her eyes and crossed her arms, thinking it all was Viktor's drama to make him seem important or whatever this was.

"Shut the fuck up, Allison! I can't stand your shit anymore! Why is it that one day you're nice to me and one day you're an asshole? What's your deal?" He snapped, not standing her shits anymore.

"God, you're so annoying. I heard a rumor you shut the hell up!" She answered, yelling and using her powers on Viktor.

He felt his throat closing.

She really made him shut up. By making him stop breathing.

He started gasping for air with a hand on his neck, collapsing. Diego quickly went to help him as this was a unexpected ocasion. Luther and Klaus also tried to help on their ways, but Allison still seemed unbothered by what was happening to Viktor.

"Allison, for fuck's sake, undo this goddamn rumor! It's hurting him!" Luther snapped at her. She rolled her eyes first, then undid it. Viktor quickly gasped for air many times and breathed heavily for a couple minutes. Soon he was with his breath steady and normal. But he was giving Allison a disapproval stare. She didn't seem to care though. She was angry. So angry. For what? It couldn't be because of their discussion. It was something dumb, something you just doesn't care about when it's over. But she kept being angry. And exchanging angry stares with Viktor wasn't making him or her any better.

"Viktor, I think you need to go upstairs." Luther told him, pushing him lightly towards the stairs. Viktor flinched with the touch and quickly backed away from Luther. He made a scared face first, for some seconds, but then he sighed and got upstairs. "Uh... okay?" Luther whispered to himself and walked back to the kitchen.

"Why are you suddently being so nice to him? Just because of his little drama? Please." She sit down at her chair as she spoke. Diego and Luther looked annoyed by her actions.

"Look, I think you're being pretty much of an asshole with little seven, but I still don't understand what happened to him after all. He got into a fight or something?" Klaus asked their brothers to seek understanding.

"I don't think that was it. I'll explain, Viktor left the house yesterday in the middle of the night and I saw him beating up a guy at Griddy's. An employee, he supposed. I thought he just got into a disagreement, but then again, doesn't sound like Viktor to physically fight someone." Diego pointed out.

"So? What are you saying?" Luther asked. Diego facepalmed.

"Did you see the marks on his neck? It surely doesn't look like the guy hit there. And when he got unconfortable when you touched him? Well." He explained his mind.

"Your point is?" Luther asked again.

"Viktor might have been assaulted. I guess that's the most likely answer." Diego said calmly, but with a hint of concern.

Both Luther and Klaus were wide-eyed, thinking of the possibility of their brother suffering from something as disgusting as that. But Allison still looked unbothered. It was pissing Diego off.

"Hey, can you not be a selfish bitch for one day? You were the one who always stood up for and protected Viktor! What's going on?" Diego said directly to Allison, who rolled her eyes and scoffed.

"He's probably being dramatic. If he's okay now, the guy probably didn't even hurt him that bad. You are just going with his shi-"

"Okay, I'm done. Hear me out; Viktor might have handled the situation, but he's still physically hurt. If you think being a bitch is going to make him better, it won't. But of course, you can always stay away and be angry at him because of a stupid fight and think you're the voice of reason. Just don't mess with him. I swear to god, if I see you fighting with him. Stay away if you want to keep being an ass." Diego snapped, moving towards her menacingly as he speaks. It's normal of him to act like this, but stand up for Viktor is surely something new.
Out of his list of brothers he doesn't like, Viktor's in second (Luther's first). But when something happens, he's always there for them. Doesn't matter which sibling.

"Fine. I won't." She starts to walk away, but then stops in mid-track. "Oh, and your threatening skills sucks." She said with a light but evil chuckle, and then finally walked away.
