Work Text:

Our story opens with a boy named Ash, whose goal is to be a Pokemon master, and his partner Pikachu, his very first Pokemon who has traveled with him since he started his journey. Ash and Pikachu have recently lost to Alain in the Lumiose Conference and are heading back to Pallet Town to prepare for their next adventure.

Ash: Hey buddy, too bad we lost the Lumiose Conference huh?

Pikachu: Eh, it’s fine, we’ll win next time.

Ash: Yeah, second place isn’t that bad right?

Several Minutes Later… (Ketchum Residence)

Ash: Mom! I’m home!

Delia: Oh Ash! You’re back! Come on in, I have a surprise for you!

Ash: Oh, what is it?

All Ash’s friends: Hi Ash!

Ash: Hi everyone, how are you all doing?

Brock: Ash, we have to tell you something.

Ash: What is it?

Misty: Well, we’ve all been discussing it and we think you should try to take a vacation.

Ash: Huh?

Clian: Yes, a vacation, you know, so you can relax before your next journey.

Ash: You mean you’re not going to betray me?

May: What do you mean?

Ash: Oh never mind. Hey, at least this means I don’t have to catch all the legendary Pokemon and create a harem!

Max: What are you talking about Ash?

Ash: Uh, forget about it. Anyway, you were saying something about a vacation?

The Hall of Origin

Arceus: Is everyone here?

Mew: I think so, is it time to check on the Chosen One?

Arceus: Yes, now let me see… Oh.

Palkia: What is it?

Arceus: It looks like… he’s having fun… and about to go to the Alola region.

Dialga: So, um, they didn’t betray him?

Azelf: Are you sure you didn’t mess up the timeline again?

Dialga: Of course not! Wait, what do you mean by ‘again’?

Arceus: Well, this is awkward, um, everyone just go back to your homes I guess. Yes, Latias?

Latias: So, we won’t be able to travel with Ash after all?

Arceus: Well… I’ll think about it later. Alright, this meeting is dismissed for now.

(All the Pokemon begin to leave via different portals)

Giratina: So what happened?

Arceus: I don’t know, something must have failed… Oh well, I’ll figure something out later,

After all, these Ash betrayed stories are getting a little too hectic (and too common) I thought I might break out of the norm for once.
