Summary:

"Please let it be money. Or treasure. Mostly money," Klaus mumbled as he fumbled to open the case.

"I don't think you should open it," Viktor said weakly from his side. He didn't have the energy to lift his head, let alone argue with his brother. Klaus opened the case, and tha two were gone in a flash of blue light.

Notes:

Hey I decided to rewrite this now that I have a better grasp on writing.

WORLD NOTES:
-There are three genders, not six.
-Omegas have a female reproductive tract
-Betas have both male and female reproductive tracts
-Alphas have male reproductive tracts
-Babies are called the pronouns of their birth parent until they are old enough to understand what pronouns are and can choose for themselves (Credit: littlegreenfish)
-the person that births the baby is called female terms like 'mom' or 'mommy' while the person that fathered the baby is called male terms like 'papa' or 'daddy'
-names like 'aunt' and 'uncle' still go with pronouns as do 'husband' and 'wife'
-There are two mating scent glands, one on the neck and the other one the wrist. The scent gland on the neck is for mates, and the scent gland on the wrist is for packs (Credit: xhelloxbeautifullx)
-packs generally have an alpha leader and a beta second-in-command, but it is possible to have any gender in those positions

The bus jerked slightly as the siblings rode along. After fourteen long hours of torture, all they had to show for it was a briefcase. Viktor slumped over on to his brother as the other omega clutched the case they had just stolen from their captures.

As they packed up camp to move to the next one, Viktor checked again to make sure that they had all the medical equipment packed and ready to be moved. They had been on the front lines of the Vietnam War for nearly two months. Viktor had been in the medical tent after he showed he had a steady hand under pressure. Both Klaus and Viktor were clean from any drug. You had to be out here.

With a sigh, Viktor grabbed his kit and went to line up with the other medics. As he waited for the rest of the unit to fall in, Viktor looked out to find his brother. He smiled when he saw him with an alpha named Dave. Klaus was flirting and joking with him.

"You're watching your brother again," Sissy said as she wrapped an arm around him as she placed her chin on his shoulder.

"I mean, yeah. It's amusing," he said softly. He leaned back into the alpha and took in her comforting scent. It was a strange mix of lavender and gunpowder, and Viktor found himself addicted to it.

Klaus wiped his brow and looked over toward his brother. With a smile and a small laugh, he nudged Dave. He pointed back at his brother and the female alpha.

Dave laughed softly before turning back to Klaus with a mischievous smirk, "How long until their mated do you think?"

"I give it two weeks tops. The real question is, when are you going to mate me?" Klaus half joked. He thinks he might be in love with Dave. He never made Klaus feel like a fuck up. He just took Klaus for who he was and accepted him anyways. He was so thankful that someone seen him as more then just a useless junkie.

"If it's okay with you," Dave started softly, "I would like to spend your next heat with you and claim you then."

Klaus's breath caught in his throat before he nodded. He held his hand for Dave. "I'd like that. I'd like that alot," Klaus mumbled softly. He purred softly as they finished packing up.

As they fell in line infront of the nurses Viktor wiggled his eyebrows at him. Klaus smiled back at him with a happy little bounce. The two of them had gotten closer over the months they've been at war. About a week into them being there they had a heart to heart.

Klaus walked over to Viktor as he nursed a cigarette. He sat and watched his brother shake as he smoked. He sighed as he tossed it into the woods.

"Do you think they noticed? Like I know I'm forgettable but Diego would have noticed if you disappeared right?" Viktor asked after a few minutes.

"I don't really know Vik. Why would you even care? You hate us," Klaus said as he stared into the woods. The enemy could be behind those trees so they had to keep their guard up.

Viktor let out a humorless laugh. "Is that all you guys got from the book? I don't hate you! I never did. Even if I probably should have. I'm angry, and I'm hurt, but I never hated any of you," Viktor stated bluntly. "You know all I've ever wanted was to be included right? Even when we all moved out. I tried to keep up with all of you. I went to Diego's boxing matches, I called Allison twice a week, I went back to the manor to see Luther, and I always looked for you. Do you know what I got in return? I got fuck you, leave me alone, and you aren't my pack. So when my therapist told me to write it all down I did. When it was finished, I gave it to her to see what our next options with treatment. I didn't know she got it published until I was called for a photo shoot." Viktor stood and lit another cigarette.

"You didn't want it published?" Klaus whispered out with a whimper. "We all felt so betrayed when we read it. I should have listened to Ben. He said that something was wrong and you wouldn't have done something like this without cause. He said it read like your dairy."

"How would Ben know how my dairy read?" Viktor questioned. "Nevermind. Do you I never made a dime from the book? I gave it to local homeless shelters. That way at least one of my siblings benefited."

"You know you weren't the only one who felt alone right? I was standing right next to them but I always felt alone," Klaus said as he watched Viktor pace.

"That's the problem with our family isn't it? We're all self-centered," Viktor said as he stopped pacing. "Hey why don't we make a deal?"

"A deal you say?" Klaus asked as he stood up as well.

"Yeah we talk to each other and help were we can. You know try to be real siblings. Good siblings," Viktor said turning to his brother with an out stretched hand. "Deal?"

"Deal мой дорогой брат," Klaus said shaking his hand.

"Also careful with the Russian. They'll think we're commie spies," Viktor joked.

They had been on the bus for a few hours with their heads together. The two omegas sat together with their alphas sitting in the seat across.

"I swear Klaus I was stitching Lou up and the wound just closed. My hands were glowing a dull white. I'm not trying to bullshit you right now," Viktor whispered in a small panic to his brother. All of his life he was told he didn't have powers and now he was healing men with nothing but his hands and will. It didn't make a lock of sense.

"Okay. Let's test it then," Klaus said before taking out a switch blade and slicing his hand open.

"Klaus," Viktor hissed as he grabbed his brother's hand to try and keep the bleeding down. Everything got loud, like when an orchestra reached the top of a fortissimo crescendo. The volume seemed to channel itself into his hands. As his hands glowed, Klaus's cut healed itself.

"Christ on a cracker Vik! You have powers!" Klaus shouted in a whisper.

"But how and why and wouldn't dad have known?" Viktor asked a concerned look in his eyes.

"Well what's changed? Other then the obvious," Klaus asked as he adjusted himself in the seat to face his brother more.

"Well I've stopped taking my... my pills," Viktor took a deep breath before looking into Klaus's eyes. "Dad knew. He knew and he tried to get rid of them."

"I wouldn't put it past him but why?" Klaus said. "Healing powers would have been so useful."

"What if it isn't just healing?" Viktor asked.

"He did always say what heal could also destroy, but that would mean he was raising us to stop you," Klaus said, leaning back. He never thought he could hate his father more than he did, but in this moment, he hated his father. He wanted to spit on his grave again.

"Well I guess we will just have to train me," Viktor said with confidence. He lent back in the seat and cuddled slightly into his brother's side. It was a long trip until the reached their next base.

It took them a few hours to set up the camp after they arrived. Everyone who wasn't on rotation to guard was relaxing as much as they could. The hazards of war is that no one truly relaxed.

The nurses and soldiers gathered around one of the round mess hall tables playing cards. Klaus smiled at Dave's horrible poker face. Everyone had folded and cut their losses except for Dave and Viktor. Viktor stared blank face at the man in front of him.

"Full House," Dave said hesitantly as he laid his cards in front of him. He wasn't very good at cards, never had been, much to his father's dismay. He was confident despite this, that was until Viktor smirked at him.

"Christ on a cracker, Sev! What do you have?" Klaus asked, giggling like a mad man.

"Hey Klaus, do you remember what Diego said about me and cards?" Viktor asked with a smirk.

"Don't bet against Seven. He can beat the old man at poker. He was lying, wasn't he?" Klaus asked in confusion.

"Royal Flush," Viktor said as he laid his cards down triumphantly. Klaus rolled with laughter as Dave's head hit the table. He groaned playfully loudly. Sissy smiled as she wrapped her arms around the omega. Viktor collected his earnings off the table while laughing at Klaus's theatrics.

"So all those times Diego said he won us a free day was a lie, huh?" Klaus asked after he calmed down. He leaned his head on his hands. It was always nice to talk to Viktor about their childhood even if they couldn't say anything around people.

"That Two is a dirty lier! He has never won a game of poker in his life," Viktor exclaimed, knocking on the table.

"I've got a question. Why do you guys refer to your siblings as numbers? Like you say their names, but you use numbers a lot," Harry, a private from Klaus's platoon, asked. He was barely 18 and could barely hold a gun when he was drafted. He had only been with the squad for a few months. He hadn't seen much active combat yet, but it was only a matter of time before it happened.

"Our father couldn't bother to remember our names most of the time. He would just call our adoption order. He was a bitch," Klaus said softly. Harry nodded and started to leave with the other soldiers. It was close to lights out and no one wants the push ups for being late.

Klaus waved his goodbye hand at them as they left before leaning into Dave. Viktor sunk into Sissy's inbrace as mischief danced in his eyes.

"Do you remember when Diego threw a knife at Ben?" He asked his brother with a laugh.

"Oh my God, I remember that! Didn't Ben bitch slap him?" Klaus asked laughing.

"Yeah mom took away Diego's knives for months," Viktor said chuckling. Dave and Sissy shared glances. They knew that their omegas were going to start talking about something messed up. It always happens when they talk about their past.

"Do you remember when dad would tie us up for our heats?" Klaus asked with a far away look in his eyes.

"How could I forget? Do you know dad offered me to Luther when I presented? Like what is this the feral age?" Viktor asked. Sissy tightened her hold on the omega. She suppressed a growl at the thought of the omega being with anyone else.

"Honesty, it gave One a complex. It must be hard for him to accept that we aren't a pack anymore," Klaus said, leaning more into Dave.

"I was never pack," Viktor said with a snort.

"Yes, you were. At least you were to me, Five, and Ben. Four through Seven always in our own little world," Klaus said with a small smile. He missed the close bond he had with his siblings. He missed Ben. He wasn't with him and hasn't been since they got to the 60s. Klaus could only guess that it's because he hadn't died yet. Klaus turned his face into Dave's neck seeking comfort.

Viktor nodded. He understood the longing for a time that passed so long ago. "This will be my first heat of suppressants," Viktor said softly.

"Mine too," Klaus nodded. They were in a world of hurt when that happens. They have nowhere to go back too. Klaus stood and pulled Dave with him. "Come on Davey. I want to get some rest before our watch. Good night guys," he said waving his goodbye hand.

"If that's true you'll need someone there to help you. Have you thought about who'd you like?" Sissy asked as she played with Viktor's fingers.

"I have, but I haven't asked them yet," Viktor said with a smirk. "You might knoe them tall, blonde, a bit bossy, and absolutely beautiful."

"Master Sargent is a very lucky man," Sissy said with a smirk.

Viktor laughed before cuddling closer to her. "Seriously though, would you want to spend my heat with me?"

"I would love to," Sissy said before kissing her check. "Do you know when it is?"

"How long have me and Klaus been here?" Viktor asked.

"About three months," Sissy said softly. The two of them stood and started to make their way to the nurses tent.

"Then soon. Maybe two weeks if you want a rough guess," Viktor said with a sigh. Sissy left Viktor at his tent before moving to talk to the Master Sargent. If his heat is as close as he thinks, then they need to make arrangements like yesterday.

"Master Sargent, may I have a moment," Sissy asked as she approached the other Alpha.

"Nurse Sissy, if this is about Sass, then Katz already informed me about him and Spooks. You will be sent state side in a week. Though do us all a favor and use protection. Those two wouldn't survive state side by themselves," the Master Sargent said with out looking up from his paperwork. "Also, the two of them don't have a place to go so it'll be up to you and Katz to find them a place. Dismissed."

Sissy left the tent and found Dave waiting for her. They fell into pace together and started walking back toward the barracks.

"Has Viktor told you?" Dave asked in a hushed whisper.

"About the time travel stuff? Yeah, he did," she said, slowing their pace so they had more time to talk.

"I believe them," Dave said firmly. "The two of them seemed ripped out of time itself."

"I do too," Sissy sighed and stopped. She turned and faced the other alpha. "When they decided to go back to their time in going with them. You have to be ready to make that decision."

"I plan on going too. I'll have to talk to my family about watching over my house when we're away," Dave said with a sigh.

"Dave your mother will have you committed," Sissy said. "I'll ask my sister to look after the farm."

They shared a look. They knew they would protect their omegas to their dying breath. They had been hurt and neglected for too long. It's time for them to know what love is.
