Chapter 1: In The End

Chapter Text

"Sometimes I feel like I'm lost in a desert
And every dune is the same as the other
I see my footprints in the sand
So I know where I've been
And these steps I take won't go to waste
If I'm moving towards something"
- New Discovery (Crane wives)

It was hard to be optimistic, when the world was falling apart.

Like cloth tearing at the seams, so was his sorrowful heart.

But he'd felt grief before.

He'd knocked upon that ivory-coated door.

He would survive this, even if it tore him to shreds

shreds wasn't shattered, he could weave together those threads.

He'd be okay, even if it took him years

after all, who doesn't cry when that who passed was so dear?

But he would survive. A rainbow would shine.

Sure the rain came first, but that was always the curse

of growing up and showing up to help those he cherished

eventually, someone gets hurt, eventually, someone will perish.

And that is okay. Because at the end of the day, he would see them someday.

But gods, did it hurt like hell.

Chapter 2: My Seabreeze, My Stronghold, I'm sorry I had to go.

Summary:

Inspired by Ocie and Wolf after Centross's death!

Chapter Text

Howl into the night

Howl out your frights

flee from your sorrows

flee from what's coming tomorrow

Run away from those who care

Run away into the cold night's air.

laugh as if it's fine

laugh because he wasn't right.

fake a smile to your child

fake a smile, try to beguile

Hide from all that tears your heart

hide from what is taking you apart

Oh Ocean, I've joined a past lover,

oh darling of the night, please don't hide in fright

My seabreeze, its alright to cry

My stronghold, don't howl at the sky

Despite me leaving in sorrow, I'll be there, watching, tomorrow

Chapter 3: I'm here beside you

Summary:

Centross poem- based on Icarus, Oscar, and Ocie!

Chapter Text

You are not alone

your steps echo as if it were so

but you are not alone

my friend I’ll be right here

don’t listen to those things

for despite your disguised fear

It is not any fault of yours of which they speak

dearest son, I’m here beside you

I’m so proud to love you so

you’re coloring in the lines, that’s new

I’m so proud of you

I’m sorry, my seabreeze, I miss you so much

I warned to in part, but not a bunch

I’m sorry, my seabreeze, I can’t stay with you

I’ve joined the souls and Sean now, in lieu of the promise I broke.

Chapter 4: Fable, the one to rule all

Summary:

This is a poem that is a direct parody of Ozymandias by Percy Shelly! Reworked for Fable from the Fablesmp.

Chapter Text

I met a man from ages ago,

Whom raised his voice and bellowed,

“Once these lands were governed by the cruelest of men,

He stood before the land with furrowed brow and a deadly grimace,

His tongue spoke honeyed words deceivingly filled with glass.

The words that remain reveal that it’s writer well wrote

The horrid things that this man did commit.

And with his final words he sneered a lasting address;

“My name, you foul traitors, is Fable.

God of creation, the one to rule all.

Look upon my prowess, ye foolish people,

And despair upon the fair acts you now hast hindered.”

But for all of the good this man claimed he did perpetrate,

There are no writings which ever dare to say,

That this figure was a benevolent king.

So despite all of his triumph and glory

Today his honor lies shattered in the wake of his folly.

Chapter 5: An Ode to the Destroyer

Summary:

"An Ode to the Destroyer" is a lyrical poem written from Icarus's POV, and aimed towards Quixis!
(if you saw this on Tumblr, there are a few slight changes within the text!)

Chapter Text

Quixis, dear Quixis,

the one who bends all of this.

Quixis, oh Quixis,

wont you hear my call?

Quixis, relentless,

Cant you see you've left me tense?

Quixis, don't forget this,

You will one day be called.

Quixis, don't do this

Don't ruin all I've done.

Quixis, see through this,

Father's never wrong.

Quixis, dear Quixis,

I've harbored every doubt, but

Quixis, oh Quixis,

I am simply so devout.
