Work Text:
“There you are!” Ghost stated when Kyle walked in the briefing room with Rose, making Alex look over too.
“I need to stop sleeping in.”
“Do you mean Rose keeps you in bed?”
“That too. She loves cuddling with me.”
“She doesn't love me!” Alex said, mockingly upset
Rose ran up to Alex then, pulling Kyle with her for Alex to pretty much catch him.
“Hey, baby!”
“Hello there!”
She ran even further, trying to get to Price but pulled Kyle even closer to Alex.
“She’s plotting something.” Alex whispered.
“Oh well.”
“Good girl, Rose! She’s just trying to show us how cute this relationship gets!” Soap stated.
“She may be.” Price stated, “we have a location for some of Makarov’s men.”
Kyle tensed up, and Alex looked down at him sadly, While he looked at Price
“Where?”
“Urzikstan. What do you think we need to do?”
“Sneak in and ambush. Then get exfil and get the fuck outta dodge.”
“We might be able to do that.” He put down a few pictures on a table, and the others looked at it.
A more remote base, further down and off of The Highway, probably built recently by Konni. Though there was a drop off into a cliff, going down to a major river.
“Easy.”
“Not with just us, there's more rooms in there than it looks.” Price stated. “Plus, there’s a run-down village below it. Clint and Jason?”
“Both deployed. Sparks on the other hand?”
“I have a few people I can call.” Alex added.
“Perfect.”
Two hours later…
“So… Those were old CIA friends?” Kyle asked when Alex hung up with the last call in their room. Price was allowing it so Alex could keep an eye on Kyle.
“Yeah. They said I could always give them a call if I needed them.”
“Alright. Sounds good…”
“Are you alright?”
“I’m fine… Just you know… A little stressed.”
“Need anything?”
“No… God, I need to find out if I can get anti-anxiety meds, I’m sick of this.”
He looked over to Alex, who looked really concerned, but smiled.
“Okay. Go for it if that’s what you need.”
He leaned on Alex, sighing. And Rose jumped up to cuddle.
“So… I should mention something before they get here.” Alex started, uncomfortably.
“Yeah?”
“I… Used to date one of them. We broke up pretty quickly since we made better friends and then always kept it professional. His name is Noah, just giving you a warning.”
“Alright. As long as he doesn’t flirt with you, it’s fine.”
“He won’t. And if he does, I’ll shut it down and tell you.”
“Okay. I trust you.”
“Thank you.”
“You’ve never given me a reason not to trust you. So why shouldn’t I?”
“Same thoughts over here.”
“Good. I’m just ready to get these people gone. I need to just get all of them out of this world.”
“I know. So let’s get it done.”
The next day…
The chopper arrived with all of them waiting on the heil pad.
Two women, two men.
“Well, It’s been a minute!” One of the women yelled, smiling. She had short, jet-black hair, brown eyes, and tan skin, scars scattered on her face and arms.
“Hey, Eve!”
The second woman was slightly taller than Eve, longer dirty blonde hair, put in a bun, blue eyes and fair skin, “Well, when we said call us if you need help, this is not what I expected!”
“Appreciate the help, May.” Alex said.
“Well, now that we’re here, what's up?” one of the men asked when they walked up. He looked like Eve, maybe they were siblings.
“Makarov problems.” Alex said.
“He’s dead.”
“His men need to be taken care of.” Kyle replied.
“Well. Anyway, I’m Noah.” Noah… Brunette, green eyes, ever so slightly shorter than Alex.
“And I’m Liam.”
“My dumbass brother!”
“HEY-”
“Shut.”
“All of you, shut it.” Alex stated.
“Anyway, Gaz, when will Sparks get here?” Price asked.
“Later today.”
“Great. Until then, let’s get you four inside.” Alex said. Leading them back in.
Two hours later…
The briefing went fine…
Other than knowing Alex had to be in the town below the base with his team…
And he was panicking.
Afterwards, he and Kyle were in the Briefing room talking about it…
“I’ll be fine. I promise. It’ll be okay…”
“I don’t wanna leave you like that.”
“We’re gonna be fine. I’ll make it through…”
“I trust you… Hey, can you meet me by the lake?”
“Sure. I’ll be there.”
“Thank you.”
He smiled and walked away.
“Is there something going on here?”
“AH-! Fucking hell, Noah!”
“What about me?”
“Hey, May.”
“Answer the question.”
“Yeah we’re dating. Have been for a little over three years.”
Both smiled at him and May started doing a little happy dance.
“Yeah, yeah.”
“So-”
“May! Come here!” Eve called out, and she left the room.
“So… How’d that happen?” Noah asked
“He told me first. I fell for him after he almost died in July of ’20. Told me December 20th, again, he almost died, woke up on Christmas, which is our anniversary, and we kissed on the 28th.”
“So it came out of nearly dying a lot?”
“Yeah pretty much.”
“Good enough. Why Makarov’s men?”
He paused.
“I mean, out of everyone you’ve fought, someone who’s dead? just let them ruin themselves.”
He sighed, “It’s because Kyle was captured by him twice. We just got off break last month, though he did go to kill Makarov. He has actual PTSD from it, and gets panic attacks pretty much every night. We’re doing this because we do need to get rid of them, both to make sure they can’t hurt anyone… and to clear Kyle’s head.”
“Wow… I’m sorry. Is he getting help?”
“He doesn’t want to get therapy because he doesn’t want the others to think he’s weak and that Makarov really got to him. Though he did mention wanting to get Anxiety meds. I’m trying to help him as much as I can but… I don’t know what I can do…”
“Let him get the meds. See if he’ll ever change his mind. Get his spirits up. And stay by his side. In other words, get your ass to the lake!”
“Okay, I’m going!” He left, throwing his hands up in mock defeat as he walked to the lake.
Only to see Rose run up to him, barking like crazy. This isn’t good.
“Kyle?!”
He found him curled up and shaking.
“Baby…” He knelt down, but didn’t touch him yet.
“I’m…” He took a breath, “I got scared…”
“I’m not leaving you alone.”
“I don’t want you to have to look after me…”
“I’ll do it if I have to. I love you. But tell me if I’m overstepping and I’ll step back. Then if you need me to step back up again, I will. So what do you need right now?” He pulled out a water bottle, offering it to Kyle, who took it and took a drink before responding.
“I just need to be held for a bit… Where’s Rose?”
He whistled for her, and she trotted up to cuddle up with Kyle.
“Hey there, little Rose.”
He gently pet her while calming down, sighing and shaking his head, “I’m just scared, Alex…”
“That I won’t be there?”
“Yeah… Which is stupid. I need to get myself to get back to not needing you around all the time, it’s not fair to you… I’m going to see if I can get meds when we get back.”
“Okay. Just tell me if you need anything else. I’m here.”
“I know… I just need to get it done…”
“And I’ll do what I can to help.” He cupped Kyle’s face in his hands, smiling sadly.
“Thank you… I think I need some sleep.”
“Let’s go. Rosey, come here!” He stood while pulling Kyle up with him, Rose was panting and wagging her tail happily.
“Come on.”
They went back to their room, Alex spotted Noah and Liam smirking at them. He didn’t pay it any mind, not while Kyle was already shaky.
“You just get some sleep.” He said while sitting Kyle in his bed, Rose jumped up next to him.
“You too.”
He gently kissed Kyle’s forehead before going to his own bed.
He stayed up for a bit to watch Kyle, making sure he was okay. Though it seemed if he wasn’t there, Rose was a good substitute.
“Goodnight, Kyle.” He whispered while he laid down, “I love you.”
The next night…
Kyle and the 141.
“We all set?” He whispered while he, Price, Ghost, Soap and Roach were stacked on the door. Price and Ghost on his side. Soap and Roach on the other.
“Let’s do it.” Ghost whispered.
He nodded, racking his shotgun before peeking the door, rolling a flashbang in the room and kicking the door open.
Their guns were silenced. They just got in and killed the two in there. Not any of who they were they were after. So they had more around.
“Damn it.” He went up to the camera feeds on the monitors, looking at all of them. They weren’t around.
“Cowards.”
“They might not be here.” Soap commented.
“We’ll rip this place apart before we think that.”
“Good enough. Let’s find out.” Ghost added.
They went to a hangar, that had a plane ready to leave. Not on their watch.
They were loading crates in the plane. Ammo, guns, documents, bombs. Clearly planning something. Oh well, they were putting an end to that.
They were still loading crates, shortly, the plane was covered in blood. One person was left.
Someone he didn’t know.
He pulled them to a wall, throwing them against it before dropping them and kneeling down.
“Who else is here?” He asked coldly.
“A-Anton and Alexei…”
“Good. The others?”
“M-Moscow and St-Stalingrad…”
“Perfect.” He stood, taking his pistol and putting a bullet in their head before leaving.
“Let’s find them.”
They left, going to find them.
Anton was the main one who drugged him both times he was there. Also the one that played most of the mind games, the gaslighting, the manipulation. At some point, he was positive that they were trying to brainwash him, but he found out they weren’t. And Alexei was the one who did most of the physical torture, broken bones, electrocution, shooting, water boarding. Things to make him break and talk. He never did. But even so, he knew how Makarov operated. He knew that they were breaking him into pieces one at a time… His turn.
They went to the next hangar and plane. Documents in the crates. After everyone was killed, one crate caught his eyes.
They were planning on capturing him again. They were after him for the entire time they were on break. They thought about taking the whole 141…
“Fuck.” He sighed. Taking as much as he could from the crate and stuffing it in his backpack.
“They're trying to take all of you guys too.” He stated when he found the others.
“Seriously?” Ghost asked.
“Yes. We need to get them out of the picture before that happens.”
“No shit.”
Next building…
“Anton…” He whispered when he saw him in the hangar.
He took out his pistol, and shot him in the kneecaps. He screamed in pain and looked around.
“How does it feel to be alone?” He asked as he walked up.
“You…”
“Me? What about me?”
“Where the fuck did you hide?”
“A nice log cabin type house in Virginia.”
“You won’t get away with this!”
“Neither will you. Where’s Alexei?”
“You really wanna know? Goodluck!”
He shot both hands, more screams.
“Try again.”
“Okay! Okay! He’s at the tents by the cliff!”
“Was that so hard?” He aimed for the head…
“Tell him who sent you.” He shot.
Dead.
As much as he wanted to, he couldn’t light him on fire. No time.
“Let’s find him. Then we can all get exfil.” Price stated.
“What about Alex?”
“He’ll call in his own when his team is done.”
“…Okay.”
They left, the tents were not far away, but it was a walk. And they looked through all of them.
More documents.
He saw a lot of what they were planning to do to him if he wasn’t broken out. And it was worse than what they already did to him…
“Okay…” He just took them.
Next tent.
“Bingo.” He smirked.
“Why not?”
He lit a thermite. And threw it at the tent.
Russian screaming. Music to him.
“Alexei!” He yelled, racking his shotgun with Dragon fire shells.
“Guess who’s back, mother fucker?!”
“You should be dead!” He ran out of the tent with a pistol looking around.
“Well I’m not. You are.” He fired.
It engulfed him in flames. And he screamed more until he fell to the ground.
“Bye, bye!”
“Let’s move.” Price called out.
They went to the cliff edge and called in Nikolai. Ten minutes.
It was fine.
For seven.
The rest of the soldiers there ambushed them. And Nikolai could only make a quick landing to pick them up. This wasn’t good.
Most of them got in the chopper before a frag went off, but it knocked Kyle on the ground for a second.
Muffled screams from Price were heard.
“Get up!”
“Kyle, please!”
He got up and tried to take Price’s hand to get in the chopper before Nikolai had to leave.
“NO!”
He couldn’t make it.
He looked out as Nikolai flew away, “I’ll make a second pass! Garrick, get out of there!”
He felt a sharp pain in his shoulder. A knife.
He threw the soldier over his shoulder and pulled the knife out, killing the one that attacked him before turning and throwing it into the eye of another. He stood, taking out his pistol and shooting while stepping back, he felt blood running down his back.
He took one more step.
One too many.
He fell off the cliff, and it was a long fall to the river
He heard himself scream.
Then, nothing. His mind went blank.
…
Thirty minutes earlier…
Alex and his team.
“Let’s get evil.” He stated as they walked to the village.
“This isn’t gonna be easy.” Liam commented.
“Never is.” Sparks replied.
They knew at least ten soldiers were there. Maybe AQ, maybe not. They just knew to look everywhere.
“Where first?” Noah asked as they got closer.
“Split up. May, you’re with me. Eve?”
“Noah.”
“Then you’re with Sparks, Liam.”
“Let’s go.”
He and May took the left side. Eve and Noah to the right. Liam and Sparks in the center.
They got three in the first house they went in. And documents…
He was livid. Because he saw pictures of Kyle bruised and battered. Covered in blood. Blindfolded and gagged. Clearly taken on their phones, as if it was a joke. It probably was to them. Some were from 2015, and he couldn’t believe how they tortured him. He looked so malnourished, and it was clear why he always preferred to wear jackets, even now. He hated how skinny he was back then, and only wore thick jackets until he got weight back on. And now, he was better, but he was back to wearing thick and baggy clothes until last fall when he got back to an actual healthy weight.
“Fucking bastards nearly killed him.” He whispered. May looked upset looking at all of them.
“This isn’t just torture. This is pure cruelty. War crimes.”
“I am not leaving a single soldier here alive. If either are here, burn them.”
“Deal.”
They went to the next house, more soldiers. All killed. More pictures, more documents. They were planning on trying to find Kyle to capture him again. How they would break him the next time.
“Damn it…”
“Wanna take them?”
“Take as much as you can.”
“Got it.” She stuffed as much as he could in her backpack while he did the same.
Next house.
No one.
“This is too easy. Somethings gonna happen.” He stated.
“To us or the 141?”
“Let’s hope us.”
He just took the documents and pictures without looking. If he did, he might’ve broken down.
“Alex?”
“Yeah?”
“These people were about to kill Kyle.” She handed him a document.
“If he refuses to talk for one more day, he’s gone. And make it painful.”
“Fuck…”
He just took it.
Next house.
Two soldiers. Killed on sight.
No docs, only pictures. Mostly of Kyle, some of different prisoners…
“Holy shit.”
“Take all of them?”
“Do it. But they're all dead.”
“True.”
They took everything.
They kept going until they got to the last house.
The worst of them all. Because they were already talking about Kyle…
“So, I take it we’re going to take him?”
“If we find him. They're likely going to be protecting him with everything they have.”
“Which makes it worse. Why do they care so much? He’s good for nothing.”
“I’ve checked, he was on break until January with his partner.”
“How do you know?”
“Stalked his socials.”
“Great… Why does anyone love him? He doesn’t deserve it-”
He just went in and shot the three of them. No one talks about his lover like that. NO ONE.
“What the fuck?!”
He killed the three of them.
“Holy shit.”
He just looked at her. And she nodded.
They took the intel.
And they saw the others.
“Looks like they have their exfil.” Sparks stated, pointing to the cliff where the chopper was.
He took his sniper rifle off his back, since he saw and heard gunfire, climbing up a small sniper tower.
Sure enough.
He saw everything. People pile in the chopper, then a frag go off.
He saw someone running. And didn’t get the chopper.
“Oh my God.” Sparks whispered, “Gaz?”
It was him. The light blue shirt that he thought he looked horrible in but Alex thought he was stunning in. The grey jeans, the hat. The same thing he wore in 2022 when they were in the hellishly hot places, including the scarf he gave Kyle, saying that it, “Completed the look.” The only reason the sunglasses weren’t there was because it was almost midnight.
Then, the worst.
“No!” He yelled when he saw a knife driven into his right shoulder, he threw the attacker over his shoulder, using the knife to kill the person he just threw over him, standing up, throwing the knife, taking out his pistol. Stepping back.
“No. no, no, no, no, Kyle, stop…”
One to many.
He somehow heard the scream. And without thinking, he threw down the rifle and ran .
“Alex! Alex, wait!!”
He ignored Noah, running faster than he ever had to get to that river.
It took barely a minute.
He laid still on his side, white water rapids in the river threw him out of the pond.
“NO!” He yelled as he ran even faster.
Then, thank God. He saw Kyle coughing up water and blood, trying to sit up and look around.
“Kyle!”
He looked over, his eyes barely open.
“It’s okay! I’m here.” He knelt down, cradling him in his arms.
“Al…”
“It’s okay.” He realized his hat was gone, he looked over, in the river.
“Okay… Just hold on, I’m gonna get you patched and warmed up. Just hold on.”
He ran over, knowing how important that hat was to him, and took it before it floated away.
Then back over to Kyle and pulled out his first aid kit before pulling him up, “Just hold onto me. I got you.” He wrapped the non-injured arm around his back to keep him up.
He took out gauze and an ace bandage, he started cleaning off with peroxide. Even just watching him wince and feeling the grip on his own shoulder get tight enough to leave a bruise made his heart ache.
“I’m sorry… Just hold on, I’m almost done with this.”
He nodded shakily. And he finally realized he was shivering.
He got the gauze pressed on the wound before wrapping his shoulder. He whimpered as he felt it get tighter around his shoulder.
“There. It’ll hold it for now.” He gently laid Kyle back on the sand. Pulling out blankets and laying them down flat on the ground. He was lucky to have four warm blankets with him. He gently picked Kyle up, laying him in the blankets.
“I’ll get you wrapped up and then we can get in a house and get a fire.” He whispered while he wrapped the blankets around Kyle. He just gripped them tight, still shivering.
“Let’s get you out of here.” He fully picked up Kyle in his arms, walking back to the village. Softly talking to his injured lover to keep him awake.
“Th-their coming back f-for me…”
“Price?”
He nodded, taking his hands out of the blankets to grip Alex’s shirt.
“It’s gonna be okay.”
He looked over, a truck was coming up to them. Fuck.
“Hold on.” He started to quickly but gently put Kyle on the ground.
“It’s us.” Noah stated over comms, “Get him in the bed and let’s get to the village.”
He nodded, “It’ll be okay.” He carried Kyle to the truck bed. Placing him down and staying with him.
Noah drove them back to a secure house, they got in and Alex placed him down.
“I’m getting a fire up and going. Hold on.”
“I’ll get it, get him out of those clothes, he’s gonna get hypothermia and frostbite.” Sparks stated.
“I got you.” He whispered, picking him up and going to a different room to get him changed.
“I-I’m sorry…” Kyle whispered while he unwrapped himself from the blankets.
“Don’t be.” He got the tactical vest off, and started to unbutton his shirt after taking the scarf and bandage off, but tried to keep the gauze there. The scarf had a light blood stain, but it was fixable.
“Y-you shouldn’t have to do this… N-not in the f-field… W-with the oth-others here…”
“It doesn’t matter. You are not getting hypothermic because we kept you in soaked clothes. And the others probably don’t care. We’re dating. It’s fine”
He chuckled while Alex re-wrapped the bandage and got a warm, black, cotton shirt back on him. Price had told them to take extra clothes just in case they had to parachute down and might’ve landed in the river.
He unlaced Kyle’s boots to try and get his jeans off. But he only winced when he tried.
“Want me to cut them off of you?”
He nodded, looking embarrassed and keeping his eyes closed.
“Okay.” He took out his knife, he was able to get the belt off, but he ruined the jeans.
“Sorry. I’ll get you new ones.”
He chuckled again while Alex started to get the extra pair of camouflage jeans on him. Then got some spare boots on him.
“There. And I managed to save your hat before we left.”
“Heh… Th-thanks…”
He got the dry blankets back around him, then got him back out to the main room, the fire was brightly burning and they had searched the house for every blanket they could find.
“Thanks, guys.” He said while he sat Kyle down with his back to a wall, “Price and the rest are going to come back for him. We’ll wait until the morning, if they don’t show up, we'll call in exfil and get back. We can’t risk staying out here.”
“Sounds good. Here ya go!” Sparks yelled while he threw a blanket down on Kyle’s head. Hearing a soft chuckle.
“F-fuck off…”
He pulled it to be around Kyle’s shoulders from the front, “There.”
The others put the blankets around him carefully until he was completely engulfed in warmth.
“T-thank you…” He leaned over on Alex, feeling really tired.
“It’s okay. You can rest now.”
He wasn’t expecting Kyle to try and pretty much push him down so he could lay down, but whatever. Kyle cuddles!
Noah snorted. And the others looked very amused.
“It’s okay.”
He fell asleep pretty quickly.
“I was not expecting that.” Sparks whispered.
“I’m a bed now apparently.”
“Alexander the Great? Nah. Alexander the BED!” Liam whispered.
“You want a pillow or something?” Noah asked.
“If you found one.”
“Here.” He threw one down with an extra blanket, and he quickly put it under his head and laid the blanket over both of them.
“Thanks. You guys get some sleep.”
“I’ll keep watch for them, if they show up, I’ll let you know.” Eve stated, walking out.
He was out pretty quickly with Kyle soundly sleeping on his chest.
The next morning…
“Alex, Kyle, wake up! Nikolai’s here!” Noah yelled.
“Kyle, wake up.” He stated while shifting, only getting a small groan. This isn’t good.
“H… Help… Hurts…”
“Price is here. Okay? We’re getting you help.” He stood, carrying him outside to see Eve waiving a flare while Nikolai got closer.
As soon as they landed, the door opened and Price and Ghost shot out.
“Oh my God!” Price yelled when he ran up, “What happened?!”
“He was stabbed and fell into the river.”
“Fuck…”
“D… Dad… Simon…”
“We’re here. Let’s get you to Rose.”
They got him in the chopper, and Alex sat on the floor with him to keep him awake. But it was hard. It wasn’t until he started crying that Kyle finally managed to keep his eyes fluttering open.
As soon as they got to the base, and got him to the Hospital, they got it stitched up. And as soon as they saw an infection starting, got him antibiotics. And the same painkillers he hated because it made him feel so weak he couldn’t move.
But, he just felt numb. They kept Alex out of the room for quite some time, and now he was getting panicky…
“Sergeant?” The nurse asked when she realized he was breathing shaky.
“Please get Alex… Please.”
She left the room in a hurry, and he just closed his eyes while trying to calm down.
“Kyle?”
He opened his eyes to see Alex and Rose.
“It’s going to be okay. I’m here. Rose is here.”
He looked down, Rose had started licking his face happily, making him chuckle.
“I… I can’t move…”
“It’s okay. You’ll be able to in a bit. What can I do?”
“Don’t leave. Please…!”
“I won’t. Breathe, baby…”
He took a few deep breaths, and Rose laid in his lap.
“Thank you…”
“It’s okay.” He sat on the edge of the bed, cradling Kyle’s face in his hands, finally, he smiled.
“Do you need anything?”
“Water…?”
He dug through his backpack, and found his small water bottle.
“Here.” He quickly realized that they gave him that painkiller, so plan B. He gently put it to Kyle’s lips, letting him drink some before he pulled away.
“You okay?”
“I’m fine.” Lie. He was embarrassed. This exact thing happened last year: he was always in pain after physical therapy, and they couldn’t keep giving morphine because they were worried about addiction or him slipping into a coma. So they gave him the only non-drowsy painkiller that could help, and it worked well, while making him weak and stiff. So Alex helped him, hand fed him, got him water, anything he could, he did.
“I’m just gonna stay here for a bit then.” He put the water down, moving up to be next to him, cuddles were needed, he could tell.
“Were they there?” He asked after a minute.
“Yeah… Killed them both.”
“We had intel… And pictures…”
“Of?”
“What they did to you… even back in ’15. I knew it would’ve been bad, but you looked like hell.”
“… I hated how I looked.”
“I’m so sorry you went through that…”
“I’m alright. I just… Wanted to have my life back. And I have it, even though I’m broke-… Cracked. I’m just thankful I have a family and friends who help me.”
“I’m always here to help. I’m here to listen.”
“I know. Thank you… And I totally forgot about my meds.”
“Oops… Do you think you’ll ever change your mind about therapy?”
“I don’t know. But I’ll probably need it to get the meds at first.”
“Okay… I just want you to do what you think is best for you.”
“But I don’t know what that may be.”
“Then I’ll help you find it. If you let me.”
“Please…”
He lightly kissed the top of Kyle’s head, his lips lingering there for a second, “I’ll do whatever I can.”
He lightly stroked his hair.
“I truly will.”
Two hours later…
Kyle had fallen asleep, and he stayed for as long as he could.
“Alex?”
He looked over. Price.
“Hey.”
“Come here…”
He stood after lightly kissing Kyle’s knuckles and putting his hand back on the bed.
“Yeah?”
Him and Noah were there.
“Explain.”
“Explain what?”
“You didn’t feel the need to tell anyone you dated him?”
Noah sighed quietly, he had casually mentioned to Price that they were dating at one point, just as a, “Oh yeah, he used to be like that whenever I was in the hospital while we were together.”
“Did it matter? I told Kyle and he didn’t mind it.”
“I think you should’ve considering he’s your ex while your current boyfriend is here.”
“For the record, he did tell me that he and Kyle were dating before we got here.” He knew it would be better to lie at this point.
“Still, you should’ve told me.”
“What, do you think I’m gonna cheat on him or something?!” He was whisper yelling.
“No. Lyons did. When I told her that you two had dated.”
“Are you shitting me?” Noah asked.
“I have custom rings on the way. How the fuck could anyone think that I am cheating on my boyfriend of three years?”
“Hold up. Rings?”
“I’m proposing to that hot Brit, Noah.”
“I’ll just tell Lyons that Noah already knew and was fine with it.”
“Perfect.”
He walked away…
“Goodluck, Alex.”
“I’m gonna need it.”
“For the record. I’m not interested in breaking up this cuteness. You have a fur baby together for Christ’s sake.”
“I’m getting some sleep and killing Lyons in the morning.” He went back in the hospital room, and sat back down.
He was proposing on Christmas, there was two ways for this to go, and he hoped for the better option…
