Character #1: Seato

FULL NAME: Seato Ertim Reverie

Lore: Seato is a part Angler fish (Transgender due to the light on his head) and part Eel. Seato Grew up working for a Rich family in the underwater city of Layntum. One day Its home was attacked by The Remlions (Mer-Shark people). It was driven from it’s home to the surface world where it ran into Lex, Aaon, and Charlie. (remember these names, they’re important)

Character #2: Lexington (better known as Lex)

FULL NAME: Lexington Tayrin Robins

Lore: Lex is Male and goes by He/Him. Lex is a Former Remlion Warrior, he betrayed his Race to help Seato and the other merfolk down in Layntum. He fights In the Remlion-Woshan War at the end of the story. (no spoilers though).

Character #3: Aaon 

FULL NAME: Aaon Yeva Promithan

Lore: Aaon is a Woshan, They are Non-Binary and go by They/Them. They have three eyes and were blessed by an ancient deity named “Terity”. They were burned by acid in the past which he found out, They were resistant to it but it still left a huge burn mark on the left half of their chest.

Character #4: Charlie

FULL NAME: Charlie Felome Iris

LORE: Charlie is Female and uses She/Her. She is straight. She is a Woshan. Charlie is from Urimtha City. She lives alone with her plants. She is a fan of plant life and protects it every day. She often gets criticized for it. She will always smile.

Character #5: Terry

Full name Terry Omra Lithen

Lore: Terry is an Elf, which, on Tikren (Aka; the equivalent of Earth in this story) is extremely rare. He is Aaon’s husband. Terry is gay. He/Him. He is a horse trainer. He wears A sleeveless gray turtleneck sweater and a purple jacket that contrasts beautifully with his dark skin.

Woshans!

The Woshans are a race of Winged people. Only three-quarters of the Woshans in this present day can fly. They have been around for millions of years at least.

Remlions!

Remlions are also an ancient race of Shark People, they have a bad reputation for invading homes and leveling cities. they are 'vicious beasts' according to everyone else.

Chapter Text

I have always worked for the Dranall family, I never volunteered to work for them, I was born a peasant boy, and always will be. That is, until today, the day my home and everything I've ever known was taken away from me by the dreaded Remlion Warriors. Destroyers of homes, takers of lives.

This is my story. The story of how I took back my home.

Chapter Text

Seato's heart was pounding as he swam through the now-dark waters of the Dranall mansion.

He had always been content with his life working for the wealthy Dranall family, but his world was about to be turned upside down.

The once peaceful city was now a warzone, and the Remlion Warriors were the cause of it all. Seato could see the destruction they had caused - homes destroyed and the lives of his fellow citizens taken away.

In front of him was a shadowy figure, the shadow of what he could only make out of as a Remlion Warrior.

“No-” Seato managed to choke out through his sobs “No, no, no…. Please don’t kill me.”

“Hey, hey…” a soft voice said “I know, I look scary, but I… I wanna help.. I promise… come with me and you’ll be safe.” the stranger held out a hand.

Seato hesitantly took the stranger’s hand and followed him.

-Time Skip-

Seato and the Remlion Warrior found refuge in a cave on the surface (they are amphibious). It wondered why the warrior helped It, why he saved it. It didn’t dare to speak up and ask him why.

“Are you hurt?” The warrior asked. “I have medical supplies in my bag.” Seato stared at him for a moment before finally speaking up. “No… but may I ask you, why did you save me?”

“That… is none of your business…” the stranger told it. “By the way, My name is Lexington, but I would prefer to be called Lex. What is your name?” 

“Seato.” It said shakily

-Back down in Layntum-

The Remlion Commander stood tall and imposing, his voice echoing through the vast chamber. "Where the HELL is General Robins?!" he boomed, his frustration palpable. 

The tension in the ‘air’ was thick as his subordinates nervously looked at each other, scrambling to come up with an answer that would satisfy their leader. 

The Commander had always been a stickler for punctuality and efficiency, and the fact that one of his trusted warriors was missing without explanation was a cause for great concern. 

The seconds ticked by, until finally, one of the soldiers stepped forward and cleared his throat.

“I saw him headed to the surface with a Layntum citizen, sir.”

“And you didn’t stop him?! Why didn’t you stop him?! ” 

“I did try to stop him, Sir! But… he attacked me.”

There was a sudden hush in the room. It was difficult to imagine why Lex would ever resort to attacking someone without reason. He had never exhibited such behavior before.

All eyes were on him, the silence was loud, piercing the ears of the present warriors and captive citizens of Layntum.

“Go find him, someone find him. NOW.”

The Remlion warriors swam in all directions, gathering their things to go find Lex and his supposedly ‘captive’ Layntum citizen.

-Back at the surface with Lex and Seato-

“That’s a lovely name. Why did your parents give you that name?” Lex asked

The tone in the room changed drastically. Seato froze “P… Parents? Why would you assume I had parents? I’m dressed like a homeless person! And.. a-and…”

Lex noticed Seato's discomfort and quickly realized his mistake. 

"I'm sorry, Seato. I didn't mean to assume anything about your life. I'm here to help you, and I won't judge you based on your appearance or background. We're all just trying to survive in this world." Lex's words were kind and reassuring, and Seato slowly began to relax. 

"Thank you... Lex. I appreciate your kindness," Seato said softly. "Of course," Lex replied, a small smile on his face. "We'll get through this together."
