annabeth: I swear to all things Godly, I am never speaking to my stepmother again after graduation. 

annabeth: If she comments on my hair one more time, I may end up on the news. And not for a good reason.

annabeth: We’re at the store looking for a dress for my graduation and she keeps saying “Is there any way you’re gonna wear your hair straight that day?” NO. THERE IS NOT.

percy: i’ve literally never seen you with straight hair

annabeth: Yeah. I hate straightening it. 

percy: how are you wearing your hair for graduation?

annabeth: It’s a surprise. I’m getting it done on saturday. 

percy: i’m excited to see it

annabeth: It needs to be done. I’ve had it natural for a few months now, and I love my natural hair, but it is a crisis at the moment.
