Chapter 1: Daydream
Chapter Text
When I first met that man, I thought to myself, "He is like born for me." because he had all the characteristics that I love such as strong and cruel. In addition, he is rude. I have always preferred a man who treats me badly rather than a man who treats me kindly. Is this a kind of perversion? Or am I just getting worked up like a child because my pride has been hurt?
But aside from that, there is something that is always born in me when I meet such a man. It was like a wild bird, free and unrestrained, slipping through my fingers when I tried to catch it by force. And like melted wax, even the slightest touch is stifling hot. But the burn is not in the least bit painful, rather it pleasantly leaves a bright red marks on my heart.
Ever since I got to know him, I dream even during the day. In the dream, I am watching a chojin wrestling match in the guest of honor's seat, just like in reality. He and another chojin, whose name and face I do not know, are fighting. The opponent is big and muscular and looks how strong he is, yet I know that he will bloody lose and die.
I understand that when I dream, this is the embodiment of my latent desires because the fight is proceeding the way I want it to. If I want to see his royal stretch, it will be; if I want them to shed more blood, it will be. So is he winning because I want him to? That's possible because I love strong chojins.
My sleep is shallow, so normally I should be able to wake up just by opening my eyes. However, since I am asleep while awake, I cannot do anything on my own. Well, I have no intention of waking up from this dream, so I don't mind.
I have always dreamed of seeing a strong chojin moaning in fear and violence, of seeing his beautiful body stained with red blood. It's not that I want to torture him, but as that man knows, I like bloodshed.
He is more attractive than anyone else as he spills blood, but I am the only one in the world who understands that. Why do people hate bloodshed and violence? There is nothing else so wonderful!
I want to be smeared with blood of a violent ruffian rather than be loved by a gentle gentleman, and my father and brother say me insane. But from my point of view, the two men who are cowards even though they are in charge of the chojin martial arts world, and the clean spectators who go out of their way to watch the fights, are more insane.
I think the thrilling excitement and the performance that is easy to understand like bloodshed, are the real thrill of a serious match. And isn't it a woman's instinct to prefer and seek out strong men? So it is only natural that I like him.
After my sixteenth birthday, the sons of my father's friends often visited me. Each of them had a title of authority in their own way, such as "executive of the Chojin xx Association" or "next head of the xxs". They all flattered me, said they had never seen such a beautiful and lovely woman, and presented me with many gifts. Finally, they asked me to marry them. I refused because I love strong chojins.
I didn't care about their kindness or financial power; all I wanted from them was to be filled with overwhelming strength, violence, and fear. However, I never met such a man and I became an adult.
I have always dreamed of tasting a man's skin moistened with glistening blood and salty sweat and touching his tense muscles pulsate directly. It is not that I want to marry the man. But as he knows, I am a radical.
He is more attractive than anyone else as he indulges in his atrocities, but I am the only one in the world who understands that. Why does everyone hate cruelty and violence? There is nothing else so fun!
I want to drown in the hard skin that repels even both melancholy or libido than be buried in the soft skin that embraces all, and other people say that I'm terrifying. But from my point of view, everyone else is more abnormal.
It would be a shame to let the strong power given to them by God go to waste, and to live like the weak human beings. Also I cannot endure to be forced to be quiet just because I am a woman or an only daughter. And isn't it the law of nature to be attracted to someone who overwhelms us? So it is only natural that I find him desirable.
Chapter 2: Halloween
Chapter Text
"Oh, masked-guy! "
A voice suddenly came from behind him, and Kevin Mask turned around vigorously. At the same time, he quickly switched the bag he was holding in front of his body to his back.
There stood a woman. She is a large flower-like beauty with gorgeous wavy pink hair and bright emerald green eyes that stand out well. Since it is Halloween, she wears devil horn-like accessories on both ends of her head.
That's as far as it goes. From there downwards it's not right. It is understandable that it is a fancy dress costume, but even then it is too revealing.
The shiny top looks like a bra, and the very short skirt is so transparent that what she is wearing inside is completely visible. The wings and tail that match the hair ornament become hazy because the impact of these items is so strong . And even though it is already a chilly autumn night, she is dressed like that without a jacket. She is completely crazy.
However, Kevin had more on his mind.
"Did-did you see that? "
After he parted Check Mate, he bought "something", being careful not to get caught out. It wasn't anything illegal, but the famous man was somewhat embarrassed that his acquaintances and fans would think (oh, Kevin Mask is shopping). And yet.
(Of all people, this crazy bitch saw me….! )
Kevin lamented his bad luck. But he was relieved when she immediately replied.
“What did you say I saw? More importantly, Are you all right afterwards? “
They know them each other, although they have only just met a few hours ago. He and Check, whom he happened to bump into, were investigating a recent case of children suddenly disappearing. They were struggling unsuccessfully when this woman came to them and told them about a place that might be able to help them solve the problem.
“Yes. We went to the place you mentioned and found Sunshine with a bunch of devil chojins. They were trying to kidnap the children and use them to amplify their power. I and Check Mate defeated Sunshine and the children were released without incident. “
"That’s good to hear. I'm glad I was able to help solve the case.”
She smiled. Her original dainty beauty, combined with her devilish attire, makes her look like a truly Lilith. Kevin, however, was not enraptured by her, but rather looked at her with stern suspicion.
“But there are a few things I don't understand. Sunshine was smiling a little bit happy about losing to us. It was like he didn't care if he won or lost the fight, but more importantly, that he got the result he wanted. And the kids weren't scared at all that they'd been kidnapped, if anything they seemed a bit unhappy that we'd come to their rescue. It's obviously strange."
"The same goes for you bitch. How did you know where Sunshine and the others were? And why did you go to the trouble of approaching me and Check Mate, a complete stranger, and giving us that information? “
The corner of the woman's mouth dropped a little. She didn't think she would be the one to take the blame.
“From the very beginning, you were in on it with them and set us up, weren't you? I don't know what for. Who the hell are you? “
For a few seconds, they stared at each other without words. However, it was only Kevin who was glaring, and the woman responded with a look that said she would rather take it.
“…Do you want to know? “
The woman was the first to open her mouth.
"Duh."
“Then you have to be paid accordingly.”
Her tone had changed from the innocent tone she had used earlier, and she was now very high-handed. She extends both of her slender arms and thrusts them out towards Kevin. The palms of her hands face up, fingertips curled as if she were scooping something into her hands.
To Kevin, the behaviour was crazy.
"...What are you doing? "
"Have you forgotten what day it is today? "
Today is 31 October, Halloween. Maybe she means If you want information, you have to send me treats. On the contrary, it's a small price to pay he can solve the mystery with a few treats.
Kevin checked his current belongings. The only thing that could be called a treat is this, which he is holding in his back hand. But he doesn't want to give it to this unknown woman. He came all the way out here on Halloween, the most noisy day of the year in the city, just to get this.
But there is no other way out.
“……I don't have a choice, give you this.”
The woman's face lit up. Kevin placed a plastic bottle with a scale printed on the surface in her offered hands. Inside was a bright pink sludge.
Her beautiful face contorted slightly.
"...What? "
"It's a protein shake I just bought. A limited edition for Halloween, cotton candy flavor. This has a rich sweetness and it’s little bit strong, but it's good."
"Protein shake...? You...you think that a drink as a treat...? "
The woman lifted the bottle, peeked under it, opened the lid and looked up and sniffed. She then closed the lid and gently pushed it back to Kevin.
“Don't you want it?”
Despite saying this, he was inwardly relieved (he was glad she didn't take what he had come all this way to buy).
“…Well, yeah, I can't tell you too much….We never intended to harm you or the children. Not to me, not to Sunshine and the others. In fact, they were all safe, weren't they? “
Certainly, the boy Kevin saw in the cave didn't have a scratch on him.
“The whole thing was Sunshine's idea. I originally asked him to help me because I had some business to attend to, and he said this in exchange….”
"Actually, it was only supposed to be Check Mate who was supposed to lead. I'm sorry I got you involved, too, who just happened to be with him.”
Kevin listened silently to her explanation. From the flowing way she spoke and her serious apologies, he thought that perhaps these stories were true.
But mysteries remain now.
“I see. So who are you after all? Even though he is retired now, you're not just a regular guy who can get in touch with Sunshine, the leader of the Devil chojin Army. What's the 'business' that would make it necessary to turn to him? “
He then rudely pointed a finger at the lady.
“That head crest is suspicious too. I know a guy who has one just like it. He's a justice chojin wrestler like me.”
Kevin's pursuit intensifies. The woman looks up at him silently.
“You're a chojin too, aren't you? Not just a chojin, but a high-ranking member of some organization….”
Kevin's words were cut short by a small thud, and a light jolt to the mouth of the mask interrupted his speech. A woman was standing tall and pushing a large rainbow-coloured lollipop to Kevin's mouth.
“That's all, masked-guy. I told you I can't tell you too much.”
She said as she returned to her position.
“But overall you're on the right track. The answer is…I'll tell you next time. You'll have to decide on a final answer by then."
"Next time? “
Kevin parroted back as if he had heard a word he didn't understand. The woman nodded, "Yeah, next time", as she should have.
"I don't know why, but I have a feeling we won't end up once and for all. Maybe we'll meet again sometime, somewhere."
(I don't want to see you anymore….)
unfortunately for him, her lines become a prophecy one year later.
“Thanks to your fight against Sunshine, I've had a very good time. You must be tired, eat something sweet and rest your body. Bye.”
The woman then inserted a lollipop stick into Kevin's belt. Then she turned her shoulders and walked away from Kevin as if to say, “Oh dear, I've finally finished all my work”.
“Hey, wait, this.…”
“You’re welcome! Don't worry about it, it's the rest of the stuff I gave out to the kids. If you don't want it, give it to someone in a nice costume.”
Kevin immediately tried to return the lollipop. But the woman had already joined a group of traffic lights that had started moving just around the corner.
“See you soon, guy. Happy Halloween.”
Waving her hand in the air, she was quickly lost in the colourful crowd. Her wavy pink hair and devil's wings spread wide across would have stood out anywhere. The vastness of Halloween night, which swallows even a woman with such a flamboyant atmosphere, whose very existence is like a costume, may be more terrifying than any evil chojins.
"......."
Kevin gave up chasing her and looked at the lollipop in his hand.
It looks normal. But he can't bring himself to eat it when he thinks that that crazy bitch gave it to him. The fact that she gave the same lollipop to the children means that there is probably nothing weird in it, though. In the first place, the size is too big. They seem to be made only to give children a dream.
Kevin looked around, looking for "someone in a nice costume". But he didn't bother looking, the person was just approaching from his blind spot - right behind him.
“Oh, it's Kevin Mask, isn't it? “
He was approached from behind again, but Kevin was no longer as surprised as he had been earlier. The voice came from behind him again, but Kevin was no longer as surprised as he had been before, because it was the voice of someone he knew well and could not doubt.
“You're still here. Check Mate.”
He turned around and sure enough, there he was. A young handsome man in a costume reminiscent of a burgundy-painted chess piece, a costume that could pass for a costume, was standing there.
“I was surprised to see you again. “
"I was surprised too.”
It is not about seeing him again, but about his appearance. Although his clothes have not changed, he carries two plastic bags from a convenience store in each hand, each filled to the brim with the contents of the bag.
"What's that? "
“These are treats I got. After leaving you, I was resting by the side of the road because I was tired, and a group of about five girls passed in front of me. One of them seemed to be a fan of mine, so she asked to take a photo with me. I agreed and she thanked me. Then before I knew it, other people had gathered around and instead of taking photos or signing autographs, they gave me the treats they had. It's wonderful to have so many people supporting me. If I had remained a devil chojin, I don't think I would have ever had this experience. And I've never eaten or even seen such a huge amount of treats in all my life.”
The pure white eyes of Check, who says this, shine as brightly as the neon illuminating the night city. However, there is no glittering glare, but rather like a gentle morning sunlight. He has such a sound mind that it is hard to believe that he is a former devil chojin and an apprentice whom Sunshine took great care to bring up.
“Ah, I’ve heard of it. Sunshine had strict dietary restrictions to you, didn’t he? ”
"Oui. We ate only boiled egg whites and skinless chicken and so on."
“Then I bet you've never eaten or even seen this before.”
Kevin showed the lollipop. Check’s face lit up even more.
“Oooh, what a big lollipop….! It's so Halloweeny.”
“You can eat this.”
Before Check could finish his sentence, Kevin was pushing the lollipop at him.
“Re-Really? Are you sure? Isn't that given to you by someone else...? “
While saying this in an apologetic tone, Check is still staring at the lollipop with twinkle eyes. He is also gripping the stick firmly in his hand.
“Yeah, that's OK. I try not to take too much sugar.”
Kevin lies flatly, hiding a bag of protein behind his back.
“Thank you so much!“
Check quickly unwrapped it and opened its neatly shaped mouth wide. He then shoved a lollipop into it and began to chew it up. Kevin wondered whether to tell him, "You don't put that in your mouth all at once, you eat it by licking it little by little", but it was too late now and he didn't seem troubled by it, so he decided it was okay.
"Is it good? "
The only answer he could hear was a crunch and munch. But Check is smiling, so it must be good.
Kevin got what he wanted and successfully pushed for what he didn't want. Check woke up to the beauty of being supported and even got a nice treats. And the crazy bitch who was a mystery from start to finish.
The strange Halloween case file ended with a win-win-win for all three.
Chapter 3: Reunion
Chapter Text
(Oh my….? )
Jacqueline Muscle stops to flip through the list of Chojin Olympic contestants. The page just shows a list of chojins whose names begin with the letter 'K'. Each page contains 20 mugshots, their height and weight, attributes, chojin strength, country represented and their names.
In the midst of all this, her gaze fell on one man. Knight-like mask, similar to that of the famous Robin Mask, the nobleman of justice. He is 218 cm tall, weighs 155 kg, is a justice chojin, with 1.17 million power. British representative.
Kevin Mask.
(He was in a fight with Check Mate last Halloween.)
Jacqueline knows him. When she was looking for Check Mate on one of her errands, she happened to meet Kevin, who was working with him. He was wearing a full-fledged masquerade, so she thought he had a cheerful, event-loving personality, but he was surprisingly blunt and angry.
(I thought he was wearing a Robin Mask costume because of his mask, but that was his own…. He was his son in the first place.)
Jacqueline laid her finger on Kevin in the photograph, remembering the not so many conversations she had had with him.
(I never thought I'd actually get to meet you.)
She also recalled what she said to him when she left him.
'I don't know why, but I have a feeling we won't end up once and for all. Maybe we'll meet again sometime, somewhere.'
She wonder if he realises that they are now in the same place.
(Well, okay. Whatever.)
Jacqueline did not say that for romantic reasons even then. She just wanted to tease Kevin, who was trying to find out who she was.
That's not what matters now, it's what's going to happen in the next matches. Looking at the qualifying rounds and past results, Kevin is probably the strongest of the competitors in this tournament ── which means he is the man who is going to entertain Jacqueline the most.
(I have high hopes for you, masked-guy.)
Jacqueline smiled and turns her attention to the next chojin.
◆
(....? )
Kevin Mask stopped wiping the sweat from his hands with a towel and looked at the screen. During a break in the sparring for the second match, he turned on the TV to check on the various venues and saw that the match between Ilioukhine from Russia and Destruction from Iraq was just about to begin.
Destruction was already in the ring, but Ilioukhine was nowhere to be seen. Before he had time to worry about that, his gaze turned to one woman.
She is like a large-flowered beauty with gorgeous wavy pink hair and bright emerald green eyes that stand out well. Wrapping her voluptuous body in a revealing costume, she is sitting in the guest of honour's seat, talking about something with Harabote, the former chairperson of the Chojin Committee next to her.
(Isn't she the crazy bitch who approached me and Check Mate last Halloween? )
Kevin knows her. He and his former d.M.p comrade Check were interviewing a case when she suddenly approached them. That being said it was Halloween, she was dressed in a very ungainly costume and her language and behavior were quite outlandish. But for all that, she was strangely well-informed and had a connection to Sunshine, the leader of the devil chojin army. Kevin had assumed that she was a high-ranking member of some organisation, but in the end her true identity remained a mystery.
The live announcer excitedly introduces her.
“The beautiful lady who has joined Mr. Harabote at the guest of honour table is Mr. Harabote's daughter, Jacqueline Muscle! “
The identity he wanted to know at the time was revealed over almost a year later. It seems that his prediction was largely correct. He didn't think she was the daughter of Harabote Muscle, though.
(I never thought I'd actually get to meet you.)
Kevin remembered her lines when they parted. They'll meet again someday somewhere── a horrifying prophecy. He doesn't want to have anything to do with that crazy bitch anymore.
(No, wait.)
He also remembered something lucky. The role of the Chojin Committee members, including the chairperson and executives, is to assist with the organisation of the tournament, and they rarely have direct contact with the contestants. Moreover, since it was only one day a year ago, Jacqueline has probably long forgotten about Kevin.
In other words, there is no need for Kevin to care about her.
“Kevin? What's wrong? “
His seconds, Chloe came back from the toilet. He noticed Kevin staring at the screen, not moving, and singled out Jacqueline, who was on for a very long time.
“Who is she? “
"The daughter of the former commissioner of Harabote. That's not important, let's get back to it.”
With that, he turned off the TV to end the subject.
Chapter 4: Return
Chapter Text
"It's perfect! "
Jacqueline Muscle wiped the sweat from her forehead on a chilly mid-October evening. After three hours of agonising, the big plan was finally complete.
She has created a ring plan for the second semi-final match of the Chojin Olympic The Resurrection, which will take place tomorrow. The opponents will be Ilioukhine, representing Russia, and Kevin Mask, representing the UK.
(Kevin Mask....)
Jacqueline recalled his brutality during the day.
After the match was over, she approached Kevin, who had won. This was for congratulations and frustration.
──It was a great fight. But I thought you would have been more dominant, and it's a pity that there were some tough situations. I thought you were a strongest fighter, but was this an overestimation of your abilities?
When she told him this, Kevin silently turned his hand to her, as if he was holding something.
Jacqueline held out her hands. She is used to being given gifts by men, and she is not going to be pleased by a surprise gift now. But she was curious to see what this man, who was so rude, especially when it came to her, would give her.
She is now ashamed of herself for having even the slightest expectation then. In the first place, regardless of his character and his relationship with her, there was no way he could have given a nice gift, having just finished fighting.
A bloody block landed on Jacqueline's soft and fair hand. It was part of the body of Legox, who had just fought him. Then, to his stunned Jacqueline, Kevin Mask said.
'This is a gift for you, a bloodthirsty miss.'
(Even such a hard-ass guy makes jokes.)
Although it wasn't funny at all. Incidentally, Jacqueline immediately threw away the block. There was no way she could feel any value in the corpse of a man who had been defeated so badly. To her, that act of Kevin Mask was an insult.
That's why she wanted to be in return for it.
Kevin Mask is a normal humanoid chojin with no particular special abilities. His opponent Ilioukhine, on the other hand, fights with a mechanical type, especially with his aircraft nature. To ensure that his fighting style would work to his advantage and that Jacqueline would enjoy watching them, she has created a unique ring by referencing past tournaments and even human wrestling matches.
The Skycube Ring - a five-sided ring set up as far as 30 metres above the ground. Besides giving up or KOing their opponent, they can also win by throwing him out of the ring. Unless you have the ability to defy gravity, such as flying, it is difficult to fight properly.
If Kevin Mask himself or his seconds complain to Jacqueline, she'll respond with.
'This is in return for you, an iron-faced demon nobleman.'
(I can't wait for tomorrow! )
Jacqueline walked with a spring in her step to her brother's room. It was already late at night, but she was determined to open this perfect revenge play, even if she had to knock him up if he was asleep.
Chapter 5: Substitute
Chapter Text
──The person you are waiting for will not come.
The situation is like an omikuji. In the airport lobby, Kevin Mask sat idly with his large suitcase. He will now go on a defence tour of his championship belt, as is customary for Chojin Olympic champions.
'You can have a podium girl accompany you.'
At the meeting, Ikemen said.
'If there's any other woman you want to take with you, that's OK.'
'I absolutely have to have that some woman accompany me? '
There is no one in particular he wants to take with him. And for Kevin, who is not a womaniser, the idea of being alone with a woman he doesn't know for a long period of time is not something he likes. Runner-up Mantaro would have been overjoyed, though.
'No, not absolutely, but…. Well, it's easier to have her there because she does the scheduling and interpreting and stuff like that.'
(It doesn't have to be a woman), Kevin thought. (If only Chloe were here....) He also thought. Chloe was not a woman, not his girlfriend, but the person he had trusted more than anyone else. Now only his mask full of patches remains.
'Well, pick one of your own then. I don't care who it is as long as she does her job properly.'
'Okay.'
It has been a week since that conversation. Come to think of it, he hadn't been given any information about her name or appearance. This means he can't look for one by himself.
"Hey, Kevin."
(She is too late.)
When Kevin contacted Ikemen just now, he told him that he had sent her to airport long ago. He thought maybe there was a traffic jam on the road, but Ikemen said he'd been informed that she'd already arrived.
So why isn't she coming? Does she not know where to meet? Should he ask a member of staff to make an announcement? If the woman who should come doesn't show up and the woman who doesn't want to come shows up, there is nothing to be done.
"We should get going. It's a bit early, but the flight is already ready."
Ignoring Jacqueline Muscle who says this, Kevin gets up to go to the counter. Then Jacqueline also gets up for some reason.
"Where are you going? "
"...."
He thought about just ignoring her but decided not to. When he did, he was sure the woman would not stop talking, "Hey, are you listening to me? " or "Counter? What are you going to do? ", and so on.
"....Why are you here? "
Kevin gave in. Jacqueline muttered "You've finally looked at me," and said "To accompany you," like a podium girl.
"I don't need you. I'm waiting regular podium girl the Chojin Committee chose for me."
After saying that much, he came up with one possibility. A podium girl who is hard to come by but has already arrived at the airport. No way, that can't be....he thought, but he asked her just to be sure.
"...Were you possibly asked by Ikemen? "
At this point, Kevin folded his hands tightly inwardly and prayed.
"Yes. He asked me to accompany Kevin Mask."
Kevin later described the moment he heard these words, saying that he thought it was over. Also he said, “Apparently God wasn’t interested in chojin wrestling. Otherwise, he wouldn't have given up on me, a champion.”
"The person who was originally scheduled to come went home the day before yesterday because her hometown mother had fallen ill and she was the only child in the family and had no choice but to look after her. She still can't come back today, so I've come instead."
Jacqueline's explanation just slipped through his ears and did not enter his head at all. Kevin resented Ikemen. There were unavoidable circumstances, and there was nothing he could do about that. But why, of all people, is the substitute this woman?
"Was there anyone else available? "
"No, there wasn't. They all had different work schedules, or had the flu since yesterday, or had a qualification exam today, so they couldn't come anyway. It was just a series of coincidences at the wrong time. So they couldn't do anything about it, and my brother turned to me."
(Such a strange coincidence! )
"I was surprised, too. Today was supposed to be my day off, a beauty day to go to a beauty parlor, eyelash salon and nail salon, but I had to cancel everything in a hurry. But as an executive of the Chojin Committee, it's only natural that I would prioritise supporting an Olympic champion over my own personal life."
If you only listen to the lines, she is a paragon of working adult who is willing to work on her days off. But for Kevin, she is "Jacqueline Muscle".
Even through the mask, could she sense the cloudiness of Kevin's expression? Jacqueline began to say something like this, with a gentle look in her eyes, as if she were soothing a squirming child.
“Don't worry, I've done this job a few times and I can speak some Earth languages. So It'll be fine. “
And then she put her hand on Kevin's arm (it didn't reach his shoulder).
(That's not what I mean! ), Kevin blurted inwardly. She did not seem to have got through to what he was thinking. Nothing was okay or fine for Kevin when he was alone with Jacqueline.
"Well, now that we have all the members, let's get going. Our first destination is Hawaii! "
Despite Kevin's unwillingness to even shake off the hand that is touching him, Jacqueline is ready to do it. (You can take my place now too), Kevin thought.
Incidentally, shortly after this, a defence tour with Jacqueline was immediately cancelled due to the start of the fight against the devil chojins who were planning to revive the "General Terror".
