Chapter 1: Queen and Sword

Chapter Text

Sophie POV

"I am Elysium." Her gray hood falls back to reveal a dark skinned woman with eyes such a dark blue they look blue. She looks at our group and what a sight we must be. Vespera dead on the ground. All of us frozen in position to use our abilities. The only one who looked normal was Gisela.

"Elysium," Gisela said, "I am Gisela Sencen. And if the information I have discovered is correct, you are Elysium Maguire. One of the final living advisors of the Royal family of the Lost Cities"

Elysium glared at her, "That is correct. But I am not going to give you what you want. For the throne belongs to Sophie Foster here." She turned to me and bowed. "My queen."

164 seconds passed before Keefe said, "Hold up! Back that T-Rex up! When did we have a royal family? I always been taught that it was the Council and before that nothing!"

"They all lies!" Gisela said. "We had a royal family for nearly a million years! But the Council, and no not the ones with the Vackers and such in them, but they were the dictators that over threw the Royal family. Except apparently," she turned to me, "we all thought they were dead, but we are incorrect."

Elysium nodded, "Of course I hid them. Well him, for he was the only one still alive."

"Where?" I asked, somehow already the answer.

"We turned him hylian. And hide him in Hyrule."

Hylian. That meant I was half hylian. My father was hylian."Let me kill her." Gisela snapped me out of my thoughts. "Let me kill her and all of the other descendants. I'll make you queen. My head advisor. Whatever you want!" Just let me kill her." She didn't bother waiting for an answer and lunges towards me with a dagger produced from her gown.

Keefe, grabbing Hope, and Fitz made themselves my elven shield. "That's enough, Mom," Keefe said. She took a single step back and turned to look at Elysium.

"Let's hope you hide him well, cause mark my words I will kill her and him and any other family he has!" She pulled out a leaping crystal and glittered away.

Marella blinked and said "Well, I always said she was a bit-"

Elysium held up a hand, "We shall discuss later, for now," she grabbed my home crystal from around my neck, "let's get somewhere safer."

When we arrived at Havenfield, everyone was there. My parents, the Council, the Collective, the Vackers, Cassius, Sandor, and Elwin. They were all talk but stopped when the noticed Elysium. Mr. Forkle stepped forward and bowed to her, "Lady Elysium. It is a honor to finally meet you."

Before she could respond I asked, "Whose my father?"

He blinked, "Miss Foster I thought we put this behind us."

I shook my head, "Gisela threatened to kill him and his family. We need to find him and them and get them to a safe place."

The Collective all exchanged looks. It took me a minute to realize they were communicating telepathically. A decision must have been made because Mr. Forkle turned to me and said, "Your father is Randolph Chase, and he has been dead for two years."

3 months later

Annabeth POV

I should have known it was too perfect. Nico and Will came back alive. There been no too big fights on Olympus, and me and my family were actually getting along good.

Naturally I started having dreams.

They were always the same. A woman with emerald eyes and straight golden hair cut to her chin in a white dress stares at me. She tries to talk but nothing comes out. Then there's a gerudo man with Kronos and Gaia. They all come towards me. I try to fight but I'm in chains. Then there's a bright light and a sword is floating in mid air (I've met Jack so I believe this) glowing.

I'm free and walked towards it. It's long with a silver blade and a sky blue hilt with gold on it. I go to touch it and it's gone.

And I'm awake.

"Yeah but it's weird right?" I tell my dad while we were making dinner. He nods softly, "So this sword you've been seeing, tell me more about it." He looks worried. "Like I said before. Long, silver blade. Blue hilt with some gold on it. Glows softly," I shrug. "Give me the time and I bet I can find what it is ." He smiles softly, " I'm sure you can, oh," his eyes light up. " I was cleaning my office the other day and found Nana and Paw- Paw's will." I raised an eyebrow. Nana and Paw-Paw are my grandparents. They died when I was two so I don't have many memories of them. "What about their will?"

He hesitates a second before saying, "They had a cottage in Hatano Village. In Hyrule. They left it you. Along with $100,000." I always forget that about them. Shortly after Nana found out she was pregnant with Randolph, she and Paw-Paw immigrated to the states, but they still kept their two houses in Hyrule. "You mentioned you always wanted to see the nation, so I thought you and Percy might want to go during summer break."

I nod, "We'll have to check it out."

That night as I dream of Nana and Paw-Paw. But not memories. They're young. Early twenties maybe. But you can tell it's definitely them. I look like my grandfather except I have gray eyes, curly hair, and more feminine features. Other than that, a practical clone. My grandmother is the beauty Paw-Paw says she was in her youth. Dazzling emerald eyes, straight golden hair. She practically glows. In fact she looks like the woman who's been in my dreams.

Their eyes are wide and they bolted towards me trying to say something. But there is no sound. Paw-Paw waves to get my attention and signs "Sophie, find Sophie! Get the sword!"

Thunder wakes me up. I IM Percy.

"Wise Girl, it's the middle of the night," he groans. He still half asleep.

"We need to go somewhere. Have Mrs. O'Leary take you to the my dad's house. I'll explain there."

Sophie POV

Keefe and I leaped to the the San Francisco airport. There should be a girl. Annabeth Chase.

My cousin.

We know two things about her. She flying to Hyrule and has a tall black-haired, green eyed boy with her.

"I don't know, Foster. We've been here an hour already and still can't find her. Do you think it's time to bring out your fancy Mysterious Lady F. powers?" Keefe asked.

I sigh, "Maybe, I don't-" I see her then. She's on a bench with the boy who I assume is her boyfriend. They're eating breakfast sandwiches and laughing about something. I turn to Keefe, "In the famous words of 'I Can Do it With a Broken Heart', 'gotta fake it till you make it.'"

I walk towards them, Keefe behind me. "Excuse me?" They look up. "Is the gate for Necluda, Hyrule, nearby? Our flight is leaving soon and we don't want to miss it."

Annabeth tenses, "Yep, the gate is right here. In fact we're on the flight."

Her body language is telling us to be careful around her.

We don't really look alike. Only our ears and nose are the same. Then it hits me. She looks like Nana but with platinum blonde hair and Paw-Paw's nose. I smile softly, "Thanks, we'll get out of your hair now."

I practically drag Keefe out of there to escape. "Woah, Foster. That's a lot of worry hitting me. She's not that scary." I shoot him my seriously look. "What are we going to do? Follow them? Oh, and there still staring at us. I bet it because of the hair."

I open my mouth to argue but the gate opens, " Come on. We have a flight to catch."

Annabeth POV

I watch as the girl and the boy sit down and talk. There voices are so quiet I can't hear them. I feel Percy take my hand.

"There just mortals, Wise Girl," he says. I sigh.

"I know. I'm just... Worried? Paranoid? I don't know. Something just doesn't feel right about her. The boy is fine."

He pressed a soft kiss to my forehead. "Don't worry about it. And if there monsters, were prepared." He pats his pocket where Riptide rests. I nod and try to relax. An four hour flight with two half-bloods and two strange people. What could go wrong?

Surprisingly nothing. Except this. Percy and I were walking to a small cafe in the Necluda airport when I heard the girl yell " Wait!" We both turn to her, Percy's hand on his pocket at she runs to us. "Sorry, but are you Annabeth Chase?"

We go tense. "What if I told you I am?" I ask.

She takes a deep breath, "My name is Sophie Foster. The boy behind me, that's Keefe Sencen, my boyfriend. Three months ago I found out that Randolph Chase was my biological father. I've been trying to find and contact any family since."

I blink. Randolph? The girl - Sophie - couldn't have been more that sixteen. When has this happened? She also had the same name as the person my grandparents want me to find. "Perhaps we should sit down and talk."

Sophie POV

"What are you?" Are the first words that leave Percy's mouth. "Greek? Roman? Norse? You're probably a half-blood. Or are you just a descendant of some Pharaoh?"

"I beg your pardon?"

I puzzled. Half-blood? Pharaohs?

He looks around before saying, "Are you a demigod?"

He's dead serious. I start laughing.

Hard.

Keefe raises an eyebrow, "Demigod? What's that?"

"Exactly what it sounds like. The child of a god or goddess," I say, still giggling. "Okay. No, I'm not. But do you two believe in elves?"

Annabeth shrugged. "Magnus is friends with one. But you don't look like one." I froze. When the Collective told me about my father's side they said only Annabeth, her brothers Matthew and Bobby, and father Frederick were the only ones alive. Natalie died in a fire. Randolph's death is unsure. And Magnus and Randolph's daughters drowned.

"Isn't Magnus dead?" I ask softly.

"He is. But the dead still have ways to communicate. And let me guess. Your an elf? You and your boyfriend," I didn't say anything. She nods, "Go on. Tell us your story."

So I do, with Keefe helping. Though I don't tell her we're elven royalty. When I'm done she nods and says, " You and Keefe are coming with us to the Hateno cottage. My grandparents visited me last night telling me to find you."

I nod, "But you have to tell us your story in return," I hold out my hand, "Deal?" She thinks for a minute, turning to Percy with a question in her face. He nods.

"You have a deal, Sophie."

We rent a car and start the two hour drive.

There story is incredible. Annabeth, a daughter of Athena. And Percy, a son of Posedion. Me and Keefe are on the edge of our seats the whole time. When were done we pull up to the bridge where the cottage is on the other side.

We get out. The bridge was two fragile to support a car. Annabeth walks across first without a single word. We follow silently.

Annabeth POV

I open the door to a small kitchen. It's a small kitchen with a loft upstairs. Which I assume also doubles a the bedroom. It was modest but cute. Suited for a couple. Pictures lined the walls of various things. I walk up the stairs to find my assumption was correct. A bed, bookshelf, and desk were up here.

"So, why are we here exactly?" The blonde boy, Keefe, asks.

"My grandparents left me the house. I just found out recently so I thought I check it ou-"

"GODS DAMN ME!" Percy yelled. A floorboard came up, smacking him in the leg. Hard. He hops around swearing, holding his leg. That's when I see it. Sophie does too and kneels down besides it.

"What is it?" I ask as I fly down the stairs. She pulls out a small box, the size of small hairbrush and a long box the size of my arm nearly.

I open the long box first, and nearly had a hear attack. It was the sword from my dreams. I touch it and it glows softly.

"Wow," Percy sighs softly. He reached out touch it and he retreated with yell. "It burned me!"

Keefe touches it and it does the same thing. "Foster, I don't think you shou-" he stops when Sophie touches it softly. "Or you can. So the girls that are related to each other can touch it? Coincidence?" He asks Percy.

We open the small box next revealing... Stones?

Two stones. I go to touch one and glows a soft yellow, "What?" Then the light blinds us and we open our eyes to a field. I groan. Percy's behind me. Keefe and Sophie and next to me. I look to my right. My brain tells me to blink. That it can't possibly be real. Hyrule Castle is floating. In ruin. But the one I'm looking at is ground level and in perfect condition. Sophie screams. Some sort of monster is coming out way.

The sword was still in my hand. I don't think, don't ask. I just start fighting.

Zelda POV

Terrako beeps beside me while I look at the guardian. "And we believe this part right here controls it's motor function," I tell Father. He's next to me. Hair pulled back. Crown and royal robes gone. He looks normal. A foolish part of me believes if you pass us you would just think of us a father and daughter researching ancient Shiekah technology.

Then I hear Revali yelling at Link. Daruk laughing. Mipha and Impa sighing. Purah and Robbie making bets and cheering them on. And Urbosa getting between them before they throw hands.

Then I remember. I'm a princess. My father's a king. My best friend is my bodyguard. And I sealed an ancient evil. Father glances behind us where the others are, "I swear those two are getting worse," he says softly.

I snort. "You should have heard them when they first started working together. I thought they were going to murder each other." As much as he's puzzled by their behavior, I believe he's grateful for it. When we started to do things together with the Champions, they were professional and stiff around him. Then April Fools came around.

All professionalism was lost that day.

A scream cuts me off from my thoughts. In the distance we see a hinox. And four people. I open my mouth to tell them to get ready to fight, but the five of them (and Robbie, Purah, and Impa) are already gone. I run after them, Father on my heels.

The hinox is already down when we arrived. "Are you four not hurt?" Mipha asks. One of them, a boy with blonde hair turns around and shakes his head. I look at the four of them. Two blonde girls. One black haired boy. One blonde hair boy.

The others turned around to face us. I don't know who was more surprised. Us or the girls. Especially the one with curly hair. We stared at each other. She was a splitting image of Link. Except for the curly hair and gray eyes.

In her hands was the Master Sword.

The other girl, who looks like me, of all, people stares. Soft wavy, platinum hair and brown eyes are the only It's Revali who speaks first. "I know. I would be shell shocked in my presence too."

It's Impa who actually gets reasonable words out, "Who are you?"

The one with the Master Sword speaks, "My name is Annabeth Chase. We're from the future.

Chapter 2: Dresses, Houses, and Signing

Notes:

Hi. So let me clarify some things

One: there are no humans in this au. Hylians are the humans.

Two: the elves of kotlc cut off zoras, hylians, gorons, rito, and gerudo. This will be explored later on

Three: in kotlc when an elf is over 1000 years old their ears get pointed. In this au since hylians already have pointed ears, they grown curvy and rounded like humans

Once again updates are random

Chapter Text

Rhoam POV

The girls are obviously descendants of Zelda and Link. The one who holds the Master Sword- Annabeth- gestures to the people by her, "This is Sophie Foster, my cousin. The one with black hair is my boyfriend, Persues Jackson. The other one is Keefe Sencen, Sophie's boyfriend." She spoke with a accent. The one with black hair- Persues- didn't even look like he understood what she was saying.

Zelda stepped forward, "Annabeth, do you know who we are?" The girl nods, her face slipping into a stoic mask. The other three following suit. My daughter gestures to the sword, "May I?"

Annabeth turned to the others with a raised eyebrow. They simply make eye contact for 106 seconds before nodding. It glows softly under Zelda's touch. She nods, "This is indeed the Master Sword. We should take them back to the castle. Get the full story away from prying eyes." I nod.

"Then let's start going back before dusk hits.

Sophie POV

They put us in the middle along with King Rhoam and Princess Zelda. It's been near 180 since the king's death. About 60 since Zelda and Link's. The last king and queen of Hyrule. The Goron champion, Daruk, looks at Annabeth, "So, are you Little Guy's daughter or something?" We all froze.

"Let's wait till we're back at the castle to answer those questions," the one named Impa says. We all nod in understanding. I open a telepathic link between the four of us.

"You can speak Hyrulean?" I ask Annabeth.

"Yes. My grandparents taught our parents and they taught us. We speak it around the house sometimes."

"Uhhh, I only know the swears and a couple phrases from Annie. What do I do?" Percy asks.

"Swear at them!" Keefe declares. I roll my eyes.

"Just let us do the talking. We can teach you too." I responded.

"You realize there probably going to separate us to question us right?" Percy gives me a side eye.

"Telling ya, just swear at them." Keefe says again.

"How much longer till we're there?" I ask aloud. They seam surprised. Annabeth mouths the words 'You speak without an accent.'

"You are restless, aren't you little Vai?" Urbosa, the Gerudo champion asks.

"In a way," I respond.

"To answer you question, about an hour," Mipha, the Zora champion answers.

I smile at here, "Thank you." I say soft enough so she can only hear.

Annabeth POV

It takes two hours to get there. Monsters kept attacking us, delaying us.

So when we finally arrived, we're hungry, dirty, and tired. The Sheikah woman Impa leads us to guess bedrooms. "We'll give you guys and hour to get ready. You'll be dinning with the Royal family and the Champions so-"

"Be on our best behavior? Got it," Keefe interruptus.

She sighs, "Servants will come in a minute with clean clothes for the four of you. They'll also take your measurements to make you new attire."

Sophie nods, "Of course. Thank you for informing us Impa." She glares at us before walking away. "So," Sophie starts, in English for Percy's sake, "are we related to them? Link and the Royal family?"

I shrug. "All I know is the king and queen of our time died before having kids so, unless they faked their deaths, probably not."

Sophie looks at me, "I read her mind. Their planning to do a DNA test on us with Link and Zelda's genes. So, is there a chance we're related?"

"Wait?!" Percy turns to me, "If you are related to them won't that mean you're a princess?! I mean, technically."

I nod, "If I am related to them I am a princess. I wonder if we're there grandchildren?"

"But then you would be queen, not a princess," Keefe says. I'm about to say more when someone knocks on the door. "Enter if you dare!" Keefe calls out.

Sophie races to the door to open it, allowing maids with clothing to come in. One of them, with jet black hair and pale skin turns to us, "There are washrooms in you bedrooms. Your in a family suite. So four bedrooms, a study, and the living room." We get her point. She hands us each a stake. "Bathe. We'll take your measurements after."

We do as she told. When I come out and examine the stake of clothes, I'm horrified. A floor length dress with long sleeves and a corset. It was going to be a long night.

Zelda POV

We get to the dinning hall first. As we wait we start talking. "Who do you think they are?" "Are the girls royal?" "Do they know the future champions?"

All conversation drops as soon as they walk in. Sophie and Keefe looked tense. Persues and Annabeth on the other hand were tense and obviously uncomfortable. Persues kept on tugging on the collar of his jerkin and Annabeth look like she was trying not trip on the gown as they walked.

"Hmph, I bet your hoping she is not related you, right your Majesty?" Revali tells Father.

Father's brow furrowed, "Those clothes can be quite awful to get used to if you are not born wearing them. Personally my first experience with a jerkin as fancy as Persues was far more worst than his." Revali frowns but doesn't say anything.

Sophie walks up to my father and bows softly. The others follow. "Your Majesty, our apologies for being late." She's still wearing the same gloves as earlier. The stones that she was holding are now a necklace in her and her cousin's necks.

My father waved the apology off, "No need, we were simply early. Please, take a seat." The four walk over. Percy and Annabeth sitting together with Sophie next to her cousin and Keefe next to Sophie. Servants come in bring our dinner with them.

Steaks, fish, bird, and rock (for Daruk) are set down next on the table. Along with wine and sparkling water. Rice, pasta, vegetables and fruits come after. "You are all dismissed," Father says. The servants bow and curtsy leaving. We all start serving. Except for our guests. They wait till we're done to serve themselves.

Father sighs and looks at the four newcomers, "As much as I believe we would all like to avoid, we must get to the topic at hand. Who exactly are you four? Where do you hail from?"

Sophie POV

"Well you already know our names? Our family hails from Hyrule but has been in the US for the past two generations," Annabeth tells him.

Zelda raised an eyebrow, "So that's why you can speak Hyrulean?"

Annabeth nodded. "My grandparents wanted to stay true to their native home. So they still kept their two houses there and taught my father and his siblings the language."

"Two homes? Where?" Link blurts out. We turn to him

Then he signs the words, "Sorry, was I too loud?"

I lean towards Annabeth and in Greek, just in case one of them knew English said, "Didn't you mentioned our grandfather signed?" She nods softly.

Link noticed us, "Do you four know how to sign?" Percy, Annabeth, Keefe, and I nodded. I signed back, "I'm a polyglot so I can speak and understand or sign, in this case, all languages. Keefe is the same way."

Link signs back, "A and P?" A and P? Oh, Annabeth and Percy.

Annabeth signs, "My grandfather was deaf. And my little brother, Bobby, inherited the gene. So his hearing is slipping away."

"Wait?" I say in Greek. I turn to Percy, "I thought you couldn't understand Hyrulean?"

"The signing is the same as Harth teaches in the Shelter. ESL, ASL, and HSL all must be the same."

"Could you please talk in Hyrulean?" Zelda asks, "Or sign. We don't care either way."

"Deal," Percy signs.

"Now back to the discussion at hand. You said they had two houses here. Where?" The king ask Annabeth.

"Hateno and Akkala. The Hateno house was left to me when they passed. The one in Akkala I believe they left to my aunt."

"What is your family like? How big is it? Who are you descend from?"

"My grandmother was the descendant of a surviving Akkala noble. So she's old money. My grandfather is from Hateno. They met when they were sixteen and seventeen. Got married when they were twenty-six. Moved to the US a year later, shortly after finding out she was pregnant with Sophie's father.

"They had three kids. Randolph is the oldest; then we have Frederick, my own father; and Natalie is the youngest. Randolph had three girls counting Sophie but the two elder ones unfortunately drowned before I was even born. Then we have my father who has me and Bobby and Matthew. Finally Natalie only has Magnus, who died two years ago. Natalie died from a fire when I was sixteen. And Randolph died a couple months after Magnus did.

Annabeth POV

They stopped eating, everyone was invested in my story.

"What happened to your grandparents?" Revali asks.

"Died when I was two. Taking their fortune with them." 'The Chase Family Soap Opera' as Magnus call it, is one to go down in the history books. "A month before they passed, they changed their will. They disowned the entire family pretty much."

Everyone eyes widen. King Rhoam cleared his throat, "As interesting as that sounds we have something to ask of you girls. Wewould like to do a DNA test with your genes and Link and Zelda. Would that be alright?"

"In return we get access to all ancient documents. As well as free reign of the castle and ability to leave whenever we like," Sophie says before I could answer.

"Your Majesty, with all due respect, even if they are their blood, could we trust them with documents as old as the ones we have?" Impa asks.

"Why not, don't you let the Princess handle them?" Daruk ask

"We can follow any procedures to read and touch them before hand," I say.

King Rhoam raised a hand, and everyone fell silent. "I will allow you access to the documents, only if your supervised by someone. As well as free reign of the castle, but you cannot leave the castle without bringing someone that we know. Do we have a deal?"

Sophie's voice filled my head, "I believe this as close as we're going to get. Let's take it."

"No. We should be able to leave with only informing someone. We don't need to be babysat," Percy argues.

"I agree with Percy on this one guys," Keefe tells us. "But, you two are the bosses."

I sigh,."As much as I agree with Percy, Sophie's right. This is the closest we'll get to having our demands met."

I look towards the king. My possible great-grandfather. "We agree to your terms."

Chapter 3: Surprise! You get grandchildren!

Notes:

Each chapter will start with an alternative character perspective. Sophie, Annabeth, and Zelda are going to be the main three that are always there.

Chapter Text

Link POV

The next morning, we get horses ready to travel to the lab, not wanting to risk teleporting the whole group. The group contains Zelda, me, Impa, Mipha, and the four from the future.

"It'll take about thirty minutes to get there. You do know how to ride horses right?" Zelda asks.

Annabeth and Perseus nods, while Sophie and Keefe shrug. Keefe opens his mouth to say something, but Sophie smacks his head before he could say it. He looks at her, completely in love, "Understood, Foster." She rolls her eyes and hops up on her horse, a beautiful mare named Kris.

Persues seemed sorta annoyed at them, he turns to me and signs, "They need more food. And pets. Always more pets."

I nod in understanding and help Mipha up. While this wasn't the first time she's ridden one, the last time was... Let's call it educational. When everyone is ready we take off.

Zelda POV

No talks. Everyone is barley breathing as we ride. I glance behind me to find the four newcomers is some sort of silent argument that Annabeth appears to be winning. Only judging by the smug grin on her face. Finally Keefe breaks the silence, say and signing "So, we heard some rumors that your a goddess, is it true."

Impa groans, but I answer, "In a way. I'm descend from one. Hylia. Link and I have known each other in nearly every single life."

"So your a legacy?" Annabeth asks.

"A legacy?"

"You know, family is descended from gods and you still know the god or goddess. Does Link have god blood?" She doesn't even seem fazed by this. I don't know whether to be impressed or terrified.

"Nope," Link signs. "They just seem to like my soul a lot though."

"May I ask how you know these terms, and how you are not surprised by the fact that I'm related to a goddess?" I ask Annabeth.

She looks me dead in the eye, "What do you know about Greek gods?"

Greek? "Nothing," I admit, a bit embarrassed. She seems surprised.

"There are... More gods than just the Hyrulean gods. You have Egyptian, Greek, Norse, Roman, and many more. I'm the daughter of Athena. The Greek goddess of Wisdom."

Mipha's eye go comically wide, along with Impa's, "So your mother is an actual goddess?!" She asks with amazement in her voice.

She nods. "So technically I'm only half mortal. And if I'm related to you than I'll also come from a legacy."

Sophie POV

We continue talking throughout the ride. Zelda, Mipha, and Impa are all amazed by the fact that Percy and Annabeth are directly related to gods. Powerful one too. Only Link doesn't seem surprised, he, in fact, looks a little worried. Is there something he isn't telling us? Or something he knows that we don't? I remember my history classes. Hyrule had lost nearly all contact with kingdoms outside the continent.

The Zelda and Link from my time was restoring treaties and friendship when the carriage accident killing them and their unborn child happened. "We're here," Impa's voice pulls me from my thoughts. The lab was a three story building. Various curses and smoke came from some the windows.

Mipha giggled, "What do you think they did this time?"

"Opened a portal," Impa says.

"Committed treason," Link signs

"Resurrected Ganon," Zelda's laughing.

Annabeth rolls her eyes while Percy and Keefe chuckling along with them. Link pushed open the door and yells out, "We're here! And we're not covering for whatever you did this time!"

"Ha ha! Very funny." A man with white hair in a very... unique style come out of one of the rooms, "Come in, come in! I'm," he strikes a pose, "DOCTOR ROBBIE!"

Impa turns to us, "This is Idiot 1," she says gesturing to Robbie. She yells "PURAH!" Another white haired person come out, a woman with a streak of red in her hair and a smile that reminds me of Keefe before a prank. "And this is Idiot 2."

Purah waves her off, "Ahh, little sisters are so cruel. But as you've already heard, I'm Purah, and you met Robbie. So come on back!"

She leads us to a small back room. "Which one of you wants to get pricked first?" I took a step back. They were using blood. Which meant needles. Link steps forward. Not even fazed as Purah stabs him, wiping some of the blood that comes from his finger tip onto a cloth, handing it to Robbie. "You ok, Foster? I'm getting some very gut-clenching feelings from you."

She repeats the same process with the Annabeth. Mipha healing their pricked fingers. Realizing there's no way out of this, I took of my dirt crusted gloves and handed my hand to Purah. She smiles at me, "Do you know when Impa was a baby, she would cry whenever the stray cat walked by?"

"What?" She's wiping the small cloth on my finger.

"Distraction. That's how it only works for me. You looked ready to barf, flee, or pass out. Or all three." She winks at me and shoves me towards Mipha. Her hand emits a soft blue light, healing my finger. Percy says to me, "Apollo?" In Greek.

I nod, "Apollo."

Annabeth POV

We pace around for ten minutes waiting for the results. Percy tries talking to me but gives up realizing it's not working at all. Keefe is telling Sophie about something in the elven language. Whatever it is has her laughing really hard.

It's the longest ten minutes of my life. Finally Purah says, "Well, I have some good news and bad news. What do you want first?"

"Bad," we all say and sign at the same time.

She dances from foot to foot, "Well, the bad news is your related. The good news is your related." We all just sort of blinked.

"How?" Link asks.

"Your grandparents. Your their grandparents." Now I knew why she said it was bad news that we were related. It meant that the king and queen of Hyrule from my time faked their deaths.

Which led everyone to believe they were dead, then raised a family in the US. Then disowned that entire family.

Was that the drama between the siblings? Is that why they did what they did? I'll have to ask Dad when we get back.

If we get back.

"We should head back. Inform the king of this... New adjustment," Impa says. "See you soon, Purah." She herds us out the door.

"As much as I would like to stay, the Domain needs me," Mipha hugs Link and Zelda and smiles at us. "Don't worry. We'll figure something out." She takes something out of her stash and disappears into blue ribbons.

As soon as we arrived at the castle we're taken imminently to the throne room. Impa whispers the word, "kneel" right before we go in. We do as we are told. King Rhoam booms, "Are we indeed blood?"

"Sophie and Annabeth are indeed Sir Link and Princess Zelda's grandchildren," Impa says.

His eyes widen, "Annabeth, Sophie. Please tell me, how long has it been since my reign?"

I glance at my cousin who goes tense. Oh gods. His reign.

His reign was roughly 180 years ago.

Zelda POV

"Your Majesty, perhaps we should refrain from such questions," Sophie tells him. "But in return I'll give you this, in our time Calamity Ganon has been sealed."

"Of course, it has been sealed for nearly two years in our time," Impa tells her. Annabeth goes pale. She looks at Sophie with a raised eyebrow. Sophie shakes her head.

Annabeth gets up, she looks Father dead in the eye and tells him, "It's been about 180 years since you ruled. And in our time the Royal family fell before Randolph was born. I believe we didn't just jump time, but universes themselves."

No one breathes, "Explain," his voice his scary calm.

"180 years ago, on Princess Zelda's, my grandmother 17th birthday, Ganon awakened. The Champions, knight, and princess was the mountain where the Spring of Wisdom is located. Ganon killed everyone in the castle, including you. The Champions died in the Divine Beasts and the knight was sealed in a shrine ment for healing. He wakes a hundred years later. Regains his strength and frees the Divine Beasts. Along with the princess from Ganon's hold.

"I believe everything my father has told me about my grandparents meeting is true. Except she was a princess and he a knight. And they were King and Queen. There was repeated assignation attempts shortly before their deaths. They died because of a carriage accident. Or at least that's what everyone was told."

"So you believe they faked their deaths to escape death?"

Sophie jumps up, "There's more."

Is this all making sense? Please comment if not and I'll try to clarify in later notes and chapters.

Chapter Text

Impa POV

Sophie rises with such confidence, I would have mistaken her for a Sheikah.

She take a breath, "King Rhoam, how much do you believe in mythical creatures. Gods, unicorns, elves." She puts and emphasis on the last words.

"Sophie!" Annabeth says. She says something else in a language we don't know. Except Zelda responds in the same language. Persues eyes go wide, he starts muttering under his breath.

"Impa! Link!" The king's voice shocks me from my thoughts. "Get them under control before a brawl breaks out!" Their screaming at each other. It wasn't until Link did his ear bursting whistle did they shut up.

Zelda pale and shaky as she says, "What in Demise do you mean your an elf? And Link's royalty?"

Sophie POV

Annabeth turns to me, "What the Hera?! What do you mean the royal blood on both sides?!"

Keefe looks at me and mouths, "You said you didn't want to tell them."

Boyfriend of the year right there folks.

"Now, before we all jump to conclusions, yes. Link we presume he has royal blood. But he can't even claim the throne, technically," I say, my voice surprisingly strong.

I turn back to the king, "Like I said before, how much do you believe in mythical creatures?"

"Gods must be real. Or whatever Zelda has is a miracle. And elves, unicorns, all those things. They are myths."

I shake my head, "No. Because of they are, I would not be standing here. As crazy as this sounds, I'm an Elf. We cut contact between Hylians, Zoras, Gorons, Rito, and the Gerudo thousands of years ago."

"But that still doesn't explain the royalty part," Annabeth points out.

"There was an Elven royal family near a million years ago. But a group called the Neverseen overthrew them. A advisor named Elysium saved the last living member. Doctors turned him hylian and hide him in Hyrule to protect the blood line. I have reason to believe that he's a descendant from him."

In those million years, we have been all over the world. Getting connected with Norse gods. The royal family of Hyrule. We always seemed to be important.

"Your story seems fake. Convince me and tell me why my daughter is speaking a language she has never heard."

Annabeth POV

King Rhoam glares at the four of us, as if we offended him by accidentally making Zelda Greek demigod blood take over.

Then it kicks in. She spoke Ancient Greek.

She spoke Ancient Greek.

Oh gods. What is she? Her mother died when she was six. Is she a goddess? Or is there more to her legacy than she realizes?

I'm aware of Sophie talking to the king. Telling him her story. "Then, you see, after we found her-"

"Annabeth!" King Rhoam barks, interrupting Sophie, "Lady Impa tells me something quite interesting. That you and Persues are the children of these 'Greek' gods," he stands up and makes his way down. "So tell me child, why is this happening? What are you? Do not give me your family's story, I want yours."

Percy looks like he wants to jump him. Sophie and Keefe look worried. "She's right," I say. "Percy and I are demigods." He raises a single eyebrow. "As I assume she's already told you, Athena, goddess of war craft and wisdom is my mother. My father is Frederick Chase, Sir Link and Princess Zelda's middle child."

"You told me last night the king and queen, Link and Zelda, died before having children. So they faked their deaths?" Zelda seems to squirm under his words.

They said the Bosphoramus' family had a temper to rival Ganon's. And I let mine go.

Zelda POV

To say Annabeth is terrifying when angry is an understatement.

She snaps, roaring in multiple languages. Link walks up next to me, smiling softly, obviously trying to hide it. "Hylia, Urbosa wasn't kidding when she said that Bosphoramus temper gene is strong." I go to respond with a loved filled 'Jackass" when the rest of the champions came in.

All their reactions for Annabeth giving Father a piece of her mind are comical. Revali's beak fell open. Daruk's eyebrows seem to go of his head they raise so high. Urbosa mutters "About goddess damn time." All while Father is trying to make himself seem small against Annabeth Chase. My granddaughter.

When she was done, she was bright red and simply marched out of the room angrily, muttering under her breath. Urbosa turns to my father smiling, "So how much of it did you understand?"

He's pale and seems to trying not to shake, "Enough. I understood enough."

Chapter 5: How much for the sword and freedom?

Notes:

So sorry for the wait!!! Writers block sucks

Chapter Text

Rhoam POV

That night everyone takes off to their rooms. I tried to get some sleep but after three hours of just tossing and turning, I simply decided to wander the castle. My first stop is to the hall with her portrait. My queen.

I walk the halls, expertly avoiding people. When I arrive I'm surprised to see her their. Sophie Foster. She walks the hall, admiring the paintings. "Shouldn't you be sleeping?" She jumps and turns to face me

She curtsy's softly, "Your Majesty, I could ask the same," she hesitates for a second before adding, "Unless you're the one I inherited my insomnia from?"

She seems nervous around me. "I must apologize for my cousin's behavior. Though, in the short time I have known her, she seems content on protecting us. A response from childhood trauma."

Out of all the things I could say, I said, "Short time you've known her?"

"Yes. Admittedly, I did not know her and Percy for more than a few hours," she shrugs. "But family is family. We don't have much blood family left."

"Being an elf is what I assume keeps you away?" There is more to this version of their family's tale than they're letting on. "Unless there is more?"

"Both," her voice is small yet strong at the same time. "Your daughter will likely not abandon the throne. There were multiple assignation attempts on them both in my time. One even left Link fully deaf. So please don't do anything rash to them."

I open my mouth to respond when Keefe runs in. "Where's Percy and Annabeth?!"

Sophie POV

His eyes are wide. "Why do you mean 'where's Percy and Annabeth?'" Rhoam growls.

"They're not in their rooms. And the sword- the Master Sword?- is gone." Keefe looks at me and subtly touches his forehead. I took me a minute but I got it. He wanted for me to use my telepathy to find them.

I close my eyes and reach out.

"PERCY! ANNABETH!"

I call out a few more time before I hear, "What?" Annabeth.

"Where are you two!?"

"Can't tell you."

She shuts me out. A shake my head and begin to focus on her. Finding her thoughts. Following her. I'm semi away of Rhoam and Keefe following me. I go out of the castle to the stables. Two of the horses are gone. Annabeth has gone into town.

Annabeth POV

Was it implosive? Yes. Is it dumb? Yes. Was it worth it?

Gods, yes.

We rode fast into the plains surrounding Castle town, as Zelda had called it. The tight braid I put my hair in my gone. I had also switched into my jeans and a plain grey tunic. Percy had jeans too. And a emerald green tunic. (Which made his eyes look good.)

"Want to explore the town?" Percy asks? I only nod. We ride past shops and stalls selling there items. Voice yell out, calling prices and just trying to get our attention.

"Hey, pretty lady!" We keep riding. "Hey! Wait!" Then the moron runs in front of our horses. We pull back to stop them. "Hey!" He looks at the sword, the sword, strapped to my back. "How much for the sword?" He looks at it with longing in his eyes.

"Sorry," I snap the reins to push her into a gallop (do they hand out speeding tickets for going to fast on a horse?) with Percy next to be going a tad faster. It was perfect.

Until I heard someone yell, "STOP!" I pull back fast to find Sophie and Keefe in front of us. Sophie's glaring at us as she says, "What were you too thinking? You could have gotten hurt or worse."

"I needed to clear my head," I respond.

Link was running up to us. "Seriously? And you struck me as the smart one," the boys start howling with laughter at Sophie's face to Link. He sighed, "Let's just get you back to the castle."

Zelda POV

Father is pacing until Link walks in with the the four from the future. Annabeth looks board and Sophie worried. "Well?" My father questions. "Stop treating us like prisoners and let us leave and take a break. It's a miracle Zelda didn't ever sock you. 'Cause you're an ass," Annabeth's voice and face a neutral. Her eyes have that glint that I see in Link when he's angry, however. She walks out of the room the others following. "Sir Link," he snaps to attention at my father's voice, "Until we can either trust them or get them home, you'll act as their bodyguard. Lany Impa can guard Zelda." He nods and walks out of the room to follow. He sighs and sinks into a chair, "Zelda. If all of their stories are true... Our history goes deeper than we think." He looks at me, "Do you really think that Sir Link is... Long lost elven royalty? It sounds ridiculous just saying it aloud." "I think..." I choose my next words carefully, "I think we need to talk to each of them, and that one of them plays a role bigger than we can imagine."

Chapter 6: Ranting

Notes:

So sorry for being late, school is taking up a lot of time

Chapter Text

Percy POV

We follow Annabeth as she walks away. "Annabeth! What were you thinking?!" Sophie ask, bewildered as we walk back to our suite. "You could have been hurt. Kidnapped. Killed. All for a night of freedom?"

Annabeth turns to answer but Keefe beats her, "Foster, I don't think you're one to talk. I mean, Sandor is for sure having a heart attack right now."

Annabeth starts, "None of you can feel it? Percy? There's something in here. Something that wants revenge on us. On them. It's growing stronger too." She stops and turns around. "You know, if you wanted to eavesdrop, you need to be quieter."

I turn around to face Link. Three paces behind us. "Rhoam assigned me to guard you while you're here." He signs after, "Just to be clear, you don't blab, I don't blab." We nod in understanding and continue walking.

"Have you been having dreams? Those kinds of dreams?" I ask Annabeth. And then look at Sophie too. "You too Sophie."

Sophie shakes her head, "What dreams?" Annabeth continues to stare ahead.

"I don't know what to make of my dreams anymore." She walks into the room.

Sophie POV

Percy's hot on her heels asking a million and one questions."What's going on? You've been off the whole trip, even before we got transported into the past,"

I grab Keefe's arm. "Let's give them some privacy," I murmur, leading him to my room.

I sit on the bed, and Keefe follows. Giving his famous smirk he asks, " Can I get on the bed or am I still a gross and smelly boy?" That conversation happened years ago. How did he remember? I shake my head and wave for him to hop on next to me. He sits down wrapping his arms around me. "How are you holding up?" I shrug. "Hey, you can't lie to an Empath."

I shift my head to face him, "Honestly, I don't know. First we have Elysium. Then Annabeth. Now we have all this.... Family drama," I sigh. "Then you have the claim in royalty. Which me more elven history was lost. More than we anticipated. Then we went back in fucking time!" Keefe recoils slightly. It's rare that I swear that loud and passionate. "Now we have to figure out how to get home, how to protect Annabeth and her family, figure out just who Elysium is, and destroy the Neverseen."

Keefe stares, and pulls me tightly towards him, "You have to do all that. But you aren't alone," he kissed me, sending tingles towards my body, "come on Foster, aren't you the one saying we have to work together?"

Annabeth POV

"I can't make sense of my dreams anymore, Percy. I can't figure it out," I barley told myself about the dreams that I've had since coming here. I can't remember them, but I can feel the fear in them. The pleading.

"Annabeth... Why didn't you tell me?" He puts on his hurt puppy dog face. "We been through literal Tartarus together. I may not understand it fully but I'm here." He went to add more when we heard 'fucking time' ths room Sophie and Keefe were in. We both turn to each and started giggling. The giggling turned to full in laughter. And laughter slowly turned into a few sobs from me.

He hugged me, and looked at me, "'Fucking time," his eyes held a dare of not to laugh. I gave him that dare back. We stared into each other's eyes, humor dancing in his, and surely mine.

Knowing Percy for years made me know what has him howling with laughter, "Dam," he smirked. I knew what would get him, "Think we should give Medusa's head to Rhoam?" That got him. He cracked up, I followed shortly.

Wheezing he said, "Think," more laughter and wheezing, "Think Apollo is being tortured by the Seven for where we are!?" More laughing, then he sobered, "Well, almost all the Seven..."

We grow quiet, remembering Jason. "He was too young," Percy whispers. I nod.

"They all were," I say, referencing the Giant and Kronos wars. He does a symbol I haven't seen in a long time. The one Grover does around us, pushing the evil away... What's it called? I can't remember.

He wraps me in his arms. "We're going to get out of here. Alive. All four of us. " He doesn't swear it.

None of us can be certain we can get back.

Or back alive.

Zelda POV

The others took dinner in their rooms again, leaving me and Father in the dining room alone. We're mainly silent, then just to fill the silence I asked, "Why did you put Link as their guard rather than Impa?"

He freezes, fork halfway to his mouth. Setting it down he said, "With Annabeth having your... spirited nature, I figured Sir Link would be better, know you and how to make sure you stayed put."

I raise an eyebrow, "So it has nothing to do that we're married in their future?"

He raises an eyebrow back, "Do you want to marry him?" He smirks as I sputter, "I would approve if you two were to court."

I shake my head, "He and Mipha are dating." I cringe inside, not supposing to tell anyone as my father sputters this time.

"What? When?" He looks bewildered. I don't blame him, the only reason we know is because Revail saw them making out a month ago at the summer solstice celebration. Then the two made us swear to not tell anyone. Muzu, they said, they wanted to have Muzu like Link before announcing it.

My father still has a bewildered look on his face as he says, "Sir Link and Princess Mipha. Who would have thought?"

I don't tell him that I won the bet for when we would find out from them directly. Revail and Urbosa are still mad.

Chapter Text

Keefe POV

I hold Foster's hand as we walk to an the archives of the castle. Annabeth, Perry and Link are behind us while Impa is in front, leading us. "I'm still surprised his majasty allowed you in the archives," she unlocked the door holding it open for all of us. "Where gloves and put everything back where you found it," she looks at Zelda. "Please make sure they behave." As she walks away Foster pulls out an eyelash.

Zelda turned to Annabeth and Foster, "So tell me, what exactly are we looking for?"

Foster stammers while Annabeth in full confidence says, "Any sort of documents in Rauru, Sonia, the sages, and something called secret stones," both girls reach for the small cords where the stones lie at the same time. Zelda nods, as does Link; Percy looks slightly confused. I quickly relay what she just told us. He nods in confidence too.

We begin our search.

Sophie POV

We're there for three days before we find something about the stones. A document in Ancient Hyrulean telling of a queen's time power and a king's light power and how they are amplified by these stones. Nothing about how they work, how they are used. Just they are enhancers.

Like me.

After realizing the document holds no information that is relevant, we put it back and search further. Zelda's and Annabeth's lips are are bitten in concentration. Percy is always spinning a pen (his sword?) between his fingers and Keefe is always looking for a way to bother Link.

In any other universe this would have been a relaxing day, maybe with some music and Edaline's cooking. But no. We're in the past with only one way home, which none of us know of to access. The only positive thing is that I have no one trying to kill me or hunting me. I sigh as I shove a strand of hair out of my face, the gloves irritate my skin; not the usual sill ones I wear.

It's on the fifth day that Zelda begins to ask more of our lives. Who we are, what were like, our relationships. I've always hated ice breakers with a passion. Always too nerdy and quiet to actually make friends with people. But with Zelda... It's nice. We tell her about our lives and she tells us about hers. She's mainly interested in the gods and my life, and I can't argue that I'm not interested in the gods too.

"So does Hylia not exist? Or is there multiple gods of multiple religions coexisting?" Zelda asks, abandoning looking for documents and rather just wanting to talk.

"Coexisting," Annabeth responds. "So far we have the Greek/Roman gods, the Egyptian gods, the Norse gods, maybe Christianity too, as well as Hyliaism confirmed." Zelda's eyes widen and she immediately begins asking of the other gods. Eventually I see Percy and Keefe sit down together and simply talk. Link gave up to, settling against the wall as we all take a break.

I walk over to Link, standing next to him. His behaviors remind me of Sandor's: quiet, strong, scary looking but a kind person underneath. The only reason I knows this is because of what Annabeth has told me about her grandfather, which is him but in the future and an alternative universe. "You're blinking a lot," I turn my head towards Link, "Zelda does that when she's in deep thought, apparently so do you and your cousin." My eyes widen in surprise.

"I'm just... Thinking about all that has happened. How everything is going to change when I get back," I don't want to trauma dump on him so I try not to talk anymore.

"You too shut down when your stressed, a lot more softly than me though," I open my mouth to say that I don't when I realize he didn't say that aloud.

I accidentally read his mind.

Annabeth POV

Zelda continues to yap my ear off. And I yap hers off in return. Her mannerisms from when I knew her as Nana and now a teenager my age is surprisedly very little. Granted she's younger now, nineteen like me, and with no kids, but still. It's hard not to see her as Nana. Her eyes are just as kind, her smile just as wide, and she'll still listen to you talk a mile a minute.

Sometimes I have a weird mourning feeling for them. They both died when I was only two, but they were the closest things I had for parents for that time. Often watching me when Dad was busy with work or school. I only got that feeling back when I met Chiron. Now, Dad's a better, well, dad. I have a respectful relationship with Helen-my stepmom- and my half-brothers actually know me and Percy. I gently start to braid my hair back, my neck and back growing hot from the stuffy room. Zelda immediately takes over, still talking about how it's amazing how there are multiple religions coexisting and how Hyrule doesn't know about half of them.

Across the room I see Sophie's eyes go wide as she stares at Link. Percy and Keefe are laughing about something. It's... Peaceful.

Peace is something I haven't know until I stared NRU. I never had a stable family or life. Especially after we retrieved Zeus's bolt. I unconsciously begin to lean into her, I freeze and so does she. Right. She too hasn't had the most stable life. She hands me a small pocket mirror. My hair is coiled into once of those braid buns Piper loves that I can never figure out. "Thank you," I whisper. She smiles. I'm about to say more when Keefe says-

"So, we get lunch, right?" We all turn to him. A glance at the clock in the corner tells me it's two.

Zelda laughs, "Yeah, let's go." We all leave, the room won't beat any fruit. But maybe we can find it somewhere else.

Zelda POV

Link kicks out the cooks. Annabeth laughs softly at their hurt expresses as they leave and Link begins to chop some veggies and get rice cooking. "You're Vegan, right trouble?" Trouble? Oh, Keefe. Sophie snacks the back of his head, getting his attention.

"Oh what?" Link repeats the question. "Yeah. No meat. Sophie on the other hand is a carnivore." The browned-eyed girl rolls her eyes, smirking softly.

"So what, I like Steak and chicken,"

"Why kill the animals when you can just have plants that taste like that?!" They smile at each other.

Percy says something in his language, causing the four to laugh. I walk over to Link, "Do you think that's what their parents are like?" I would have just said our alternative universe kids, but it felt too weird.

"Hopefully," he whispers. He looks at the small group. "They remind me fo the terror trio, but four." I laugh softly at the mention of Link's little siblings.

"How are you and Mipha doing? Get Muzu on your side yet?" His face remains stoic, but his eye twitches just a bit. I roll my eyes, "The old fart still giving you trouble?" He nods, giving me an exasperated look. I see the master sword in the corner of my eye; Annabeth's, not Link's. Link's is in Korok Forest now, resting. He sees me looking at the sword and hands me a stack of plates. "Giving me chores?"

He smiles, "Weren't you the one that wanted to be treated normal?" I set the plates and forks down, distributing them out. As we eat, I see that how much Annabeth's and Sophie's mannerisms match mine. Sophie is looking at Link, a questioning gaze in her eyes. She's quiet like Link, while Annabeth talks like me. But at the same time, she's a leader.

"The stones," both girls look up at me, "could they have activated a power you didn't know about?"

Sophie stabs a mushroom harder than necessary, "If it is, we need to figure out which one of us inherited Sonia's time power," she looks up at the ceiling. "And fast."

Chapter Text

Percy POV

Annabeth wakes up screaming, her hands grasping something she can't see and feel. I'm quick to grab her and hold her, she shakes as she whispers in Hyrulean. Her gray eyes hold unshed tears as she clings to me. It's always strange when this happens. Most of the time it's in reverse; me waking up screaming and Annabeth holding me.

I play with her blonde curls and say nothing. When her breathing slows and her heart beat calms, I ask "What was it this time?"

She gazes up at me, "Male Gerudo, screaming that Nana screwed everything up," she turns pale as she says, "and Rauru." She gets out of bed, throwing on the trousers and tunic she was given. "I need to stab something. Join me?"

I get dressed quickly and we make our way down to the training yard. The dummies are extra stabable are Annabeth pounces. I've always admired her tendency to stab now think later. Her footwork is light as she fights the dummy. She mutters curses under he breath in a variety of languages as she dances around the dummy. Out of the corner of my eye I see Link. The similarities to Annabeth are startling. Same blonde hair, light frame, and probably a million other things I can't see. He stands next to me and watches her.

He says nothing, his eyes tracking her as she beats the dummy mercilessly. He sees me watching him and stares at me now. He sees me seeing him seeing me and gestures to his sword. He wants to spare.

I grin and nod, pulling out Riptide. We go out, get into position and fly at each other

Sophie POV

"Hello?" I call. A breeze answers, causing my hair to fly off my shoulders and me to shiver. "Hello?"

"Lost little Hylia spawn," I freeze. "You shouldn't be here. In fact, you aren't supposed to even be alive." I take a step back as red eyes ( or I think they are eyes) appear in the darkness. I see a flash of blonde, someone tells me name.

I run towards the sound, stone crumbling beneath my feet and into an abyss as I run. "Sophie. Sophie!" It's Annabeth. She bolts towards me, grabs me, "We need to wake up, you need to wake up!"

"Interesting, two Hylia spawn that aren't supposed to be alive," that voice. I shudder as he (I just know it's a he) chuckles, "oh well, I'll just get rid of all three of you."

"Sophie!"

My eyes fly open. I scream as I scramble to sit up, I yell for Sandor, Edaline, and Grady. Keefe holds me, he doesn't try to tell me it'll be alright. That it was just a nightmare.

None of you can feel it? There's something in here. Something that wants revenge on us. On them. It's growing stronger too.

"Foster?" I turn to Keefe, "How bad?"

I don't answer that question but rather say, "Annabeth is right. There's something here. Something that's angry and wants to..."

"You'll figure it out. You always figure it out. Especially with Annabeth and Zelda on our side." He doesn't promise it.

"Elysium," was all I replied. He tenses, those three months still a sensitive topic to discuss. "She said there was something the elves were hiding from. She said there was a reason the monarchy disappeared. That there is a reason they had to hide our ancestry in Hyrule "

"We can't trust her, Sophie. No matter what she says. Until we have evidence, she's as bad as the Neverseen."

"I know, but still..."

I curl into him closer as he hold me closer.

Annabeth POV

It wasn't until I started to shake a little did Percy and Link (when did he show up?) pull me out of the training yard and into a small sitting room in the castle. A glass of water is pressed into my hands, two sets of blue eyes, a set of green, and a set of brown eyes look at me in worry.

"I'm fine," I say in English and sign. I get up, the stone connected to string bouncing as I pace. "Something is here. Something that want us dead," once again I'm signing and talking. I turn to Link, "Has there been any male gerudos born in any of these years," I ask. He gives me a confused look, plays with something on his ear- oh.

A hearing aid.

I sign my question instead. He shrugs and signs, "None to my knowledge. Though you should ask lightning."

Lightning? He sees my confusion and says, "Urbosa, I think she's speaking with the king and Zelda right now." As I go to head to the throne room he stops me, Percy tensing behind me as Link shoves his arm in front of me. "You probably won't want to go in there for about an hour or so."

"How come?" Keefe asks, a weird expression on his face. As if he knows but just wants to check.

"Let's just say they don't exactly get along when it comes to Zelda. At all. The actually hate each other." Link grimaces as he continues, "Actually, maybe you should go in there. Before it turns into a taboo heaven."

Keefe turns towards Link, "I take it the princess has daddy issues and Urbosa's her mom? Adoptive wise" The knight shoots him a surprised look. "I know daddy issues. Though I don't know the mom part," Sophie places a hand on his shoulder. A knowing look on her face.

"Does everyone here have dad issues?" I mumble to myself. Link shakes his head.

"I-surprisingly- don't," he says. Percy shoots me an SOS look. Right. Doesn't understand Hyrulean. I catch him up while Link and Sophie speak more.

He nods as I speak, "Are you going in there? The last time you were there with them you sort of went purple minion on Rhoam."

I hear Sophie chuckles at Percy's words. I nod at Percy, "I'm going in there, I don't care if I walk into a fist fight."

Zelda POV

I subtly hand Impa a red rupee as Father and Urbosa scream- pardon - discuss mine and the others well being very- what's the word for it?- passionately. Urbosa's screaming swear words at Father in her mother tongue, and he is screaming back just as much in Hyrulean. A flash of blonde hits the corner of my eye and I turn slightly. Annabeth and Sophie are leading the others, both eyes widening in surprise as the two trade insults like twelve year olds.

I see a small smile on Annabeth's face as she walks in farther. The resemblance between her and Link is uncanny. Same smiles, hair, nose, even his shade of blonde, the only thing she seemed to get from my side of her family was curly hair but even then that's from my father. She notices me staring and raises an eyebrow while subtly gesturing to Father and Urbosa. I shake my head and mouth later. She keeps walking in anyways; Urbosa is first to see her, eyes widening as she stops mid insult. Father's reaction is the same. Both stare, obviously unsure what to do.

Sophie is the first to speak; "My companions and eye had a question, Chief Urbosa." Sophie- I could immediately tell as someone who was as well- was trained for matters like these.

"What's the question?" Urbosa looked from Sophie to I, slightly amused.

My descendant tugged at her lashes as she said, "Have there been any male Gerudos born as of... The last Hundred years or so?" Father visibly tensed a long with Impa and Urbosa.

Father answered for Urbosa, "No, there has not. Why do you ask?" Annabeth frowned, and confusion danced across her features.

Before anyone could answer, Annabeth blurted "If the age of being an adult is seventeen and Zelda is nineteen and Rhoam is married in, than why are you still king?"

I see out of the corner of my eye Link and Impa herding Keefe, Perseus, and Sophie out of the room. "Annabeth, perhaps we should discuss this later and get back to the subject at hand," my father said, hands gripping the armrests of his throne.

"I agree with the King, little warrior," Annabeth's eyes go wide and her body tenses as Urbosa speaks. "And as Rhoam said, the last documented male gerudo was during the first king and Queen's reign-"

"Sonia and Rauru." Annabeth finishes, eyes still slightly wide. Her hands go up to her neck, grasping at the beautiful stone tied there. "Those names... they've come up in my family's conversations more than once, along with the name Ganondorf," she turns to Urbosa and I, "You, Link, and the Champions... you're all reincarnated from the last ones the last Calamity. So should Sonia and Rauru, and..." Something in her mind clicked. "So should Sonia, Rauru, and Ganondorf unless they never died or..."

I felt the color drain from my face as I finished, "Or if their souls are still here."
