Chapter Text

Touya huffed as he hopelessly watched Keigo plop onto his bed and muffle the entirety of his face onto the navy-blue pillows the ravenhead owned.

“Keigo, do you want to suffocate or what?” he asked glumly, visibly exasperated at the blonde's antics.

Keigo let out a muffled chirp, hesitantly lifting his face up to glare daggers at the former underground hero.

“Yes.” He deadpanned, Touya snorted as he shook his head with a smirk.

“Tsk, knock yourself out then.” He sighed heavily, “I thought you wanted to meet my mother?” he questioned, sipping a glass of water after a long day of hero work, bombarding questions, and social media attention.

All in a day's work of a fake boyfriend.

Keigo whined, scowling. “Yeah, but not your siblings! Let alone your dad!” Touya raised a brow, his mouth set in a thin line.

“Don't you and him meet on patrol sometimes?” He prodded, stepping near the sink to place his empty glass for washing later.

Correction, I annoy him while he's on patrol.” Keigo muffled out, undoubtedly pushing his face onto the pillow again as he rolled on his side.

Touya chuckled, “Don't be such a joykill, you'll be fine.” He waved his scarred hand, “And you've already got brownie points from both my brothers when they found out you annoy dad ‘cause they do too. Except, on a daily basis.” He remarked truthfully, staring at the blonde, subtly examining his face and continuously adding more information onto his brain to never mention it at all.

Keigo blinked, not seemingly convinced. “But what about—”

“My mother is already proud I've got a partner, and my sister hasn't stopped asking me to bring you over for dinner or lunch, you know, to introduce you properly.” He interrupted casually, sitting on his bed next to the frowning winged-hero, whose face wasn't mushed beneath the pillow anymore. Good.

Keigo looked up at him from the corner of his eye, his amber irises filled with doubt and worry unlike before when it was filled with hope and pride.

Touya flicked his forehead, sighing afterwards.

“Just– lay it cool, they'll accept you. I promise.” The flame-user said, and he meant it. Knowing his siblings, they're happy for him and will probably do a quick interrogation about the winged-hero but nothing he can't handle.

As for his parents.. Rei seemed to have already welcomed Keigo, all that's left is Enji.

Touya's nose wrinkles at the unintentional thought of Enji, he hasn't forgiven him. Yet.

Enji started to apologize right after Touya debuted as an underground hero, months after, to be precise. To say Fuyumi was extremely happy about this was an understatement, she forgave him almost instantly. Natsuo was incredulous but he doesn't seem to entirely forgive Enji as well. Natsuo does partake in bullying and taunting the man, though. Shouto.. hasn't said anything.

His baby brother was stoic about it, if moreso, a bit annoyed but Touya can barely read Shouto's true intentions, given that the teen hardly shows any emotions on his face or even speaks about it. Therefore, the ravenhead can't fully conclude that Shouto forgave the old man, yet he seems fine around Enji, just not entirely welcoming or accepting and very much sassy towards him and the rest of their siblings.

His mother, however, still is partly afraid of him. She stayed in the same house as Enji with only the purpose of seeing her children again. Rei admitted it once, to Touya, that she sincerely thinks that she may give Enji a chance or she has—

“Hey! Hey! Earth to emo-boy!” Keigo's voice (and finger snapping) rang him out of his pondering. In response, he pinched the blonde's cheek unmercifully, “What?”

Keigo rubbed his cheek with a frown, “Sorry, you zoned out while I was talking to you, dum-dum.” he muttered.

Touya clicked his tongue, “Right, just..” he bit his lip, should he tell him? Should he tell Keigo about the shitty things his father did? Touya knows the blonde looks up to his father but if he's going to meet his family then it's better to give a heads up, right?

Screw it.

Touya inhaled sharply, “Actually, there's something I need to warn you about.” he stated ruefully, choosing his next words with extreme caution. He can feel Keigo stir on the bed.

“In retrospect, my family— er, my father, did shitty things… back when we were younger that caused permanent scars towards us.” He began, staring ahead. Absently refusing to look at Keigo currently. This'll be a huge thing they'll have to unpack more detailedly later on.

But until then..

“Especially to my mother and little brother, Shouto, they've been through a bunch already so I'd like to ask you to try not startling them or asking personal questions about our past.” By then, he decides to look at Hawks, straight in the eye. The winged-hero stared back at him with wide eyes, not unbelieving, instead a bit more.. confused.

Keigo nodded, “Alright, anything else I should know?” he murmured quietly.

Touya blinked in surprise at his immediate agreement, barely any prying. “Uh, nothing else really. Mostly that, and my father being all crappy but..” He trailed off, shrugging and casting his gaze the other way to not meet Keigo's eyes again.

Touya is beginning to bubble with frustration with each thought of his past but a set of muscled arms wrapping themselves onto Touya's shoulder make him weak and completely vulnerable.

“Kei?” Touya questioned, baffled. He didn't make a move to make the arms leave though. The ravenhead whips his face to his back, finding Keigo basically draping himself over him. He flushed, suddenly unable to form words.

“I don't know what you went through as a child but I won't pry on it, and just because we're close doesn't mean you have to tell me about it if you're uncomfortable with the subject.” The blonde whispered to his ear with a hint of sorrow in his voice, an understanding.

Touya shivered, swallowing a heavy lump in his throat. He wishes most people would think like that.

“Yeah.”

“Stop jittering like a goddamn child going to school for the first time, fucking feather-brain.” Touya scolded angrily, breathing in and out heavily in an attempt to maintain his composure and to not crash this car because of Keigo's anxiousness.

The winged-hero whined, “But still..” he muttered under his breath and sighing afterwards out of hopelessness. They were currently on their way to the Todoroki Estate, Touya did not seem nervous or excited whatsoever. While Keigo basically vibrated with both.

Opposites, total opposites.

And the fact smoke started forming inside the car (He may or may not have made Touya a tad angry.) was not helping his case. Keigo's breath hitched as the vehicle suddenly came to a stop, “We're here?” He asked incredulously, looking out of the window curiously.

Touya sighed, the sound of the seat belt unbuckling being heard from upfront and an opening door of a car. The blonde quickly followed after the ravenhead warily, then chirping in awe as he stared at the Estate because first of all, it was huge—! No– Ginormous!

His gaze then fixated onto the garden in front, multiple and colorful eye-catching flowers brought the Estate a lively look; contrasting the dark and toned down colours of the Estate itself.

Woah..” he mused, letting out a breath he was holding earlier and clutching the pockets of his small coat that Touya suggested he bring. He watched the Estate in awe too much to notice his ‘boyfriend’ walking up beside him with a teasing grin or the fact he chirped when he saw the Estate.

“Close your mouth, unless you want flies to go in there.” Touya quipped playfully, and outright cackled as Keigo slapped him with one of his crimsoned wings in response.

The blonde quickly heard the faint sounds of a door clicking open and unfamiliar footsteps heading their way with his super-hearing.

“Touya-nii!!” A gentle and soothing feminine voice called out, the front door sliding open with ease.

A woman with mid-long white locks with red streaks all over it came rushing out towards the ravenhead in glee.

Touya chuckled softly, “Hey Yumi!” He opened his arms wide as she pounced on him with a laugh. Keigo watched them both from the corner of his eyes with interest, this was Touya's sister. Allegedly, Fuyumi was the utmost humble and caring woman, especially to her family. Touya mentioned once that she's an elementary school teacher working near their home in order to keep in touch with their parents and little brother.

He watched as the two eldest siblings joked with each other before he squirmed in anxiety as Fuyumi rounded on him.

“Ah! Hawks-san! it's a pleasure to finally meet you!” She greeted, beaming and sharing, if not, the exact same amount of eagerness as he does.

He mustered a chuckle, “Hi! It's a pleasure to meet you too! You can just call me Keigo!” He said, maybe his voice was a tad pitched higher than normal but he's nervous, ‘kay?

Fuyumi, thank god, giggled. “Alrighty then, Keigo-kun! You can call me and the rest of my family by our names as well! I'm Fuyumi! Touya's best sister.” She started proudly. Grinning up at Touya, who scoffed.

“You're my only sister.”

“So? I'm still the best.” She countered, sticking her tongue out playfully at him. Touya snickered before flipping her off, Keigo watched this banter play out amusingly before his wings twitched, sensing another person incoming.

“Fuck off, where's Nat–” Touya gets cut off as

a guy with a buffed build, full white hair appeared from the doorframe, let out an exaggerated gasp.

“Touya-nii! Finally–! Ah..?” the guy paused, about to run over before Touya put his hands up quickly with a wary and frustrated expression, “Don't you dare even think about it, Natsuo.” He warned with a careful stance.

Natsuo, from what Keigo's been told, is the one going through a medical course in his College. He laughed alongside Fuyumi as Natsuo proceeded to ignore the ravenhead's warning and jumped on him without mercy to Touya's plea.

“NATSU! YOU LITTLE—!”

“Hawks, Hi.” A deep and calm voice abruptly said from the door. The winged-hero (and Fuyumi) flinched in surprise, but Keigo recovered quickly.

“Oh! Oh.. Shouto-kun! don't scare me like that.” He said, putting a hand over his chest for emphasis as he grinned sheepishly at Touya's youngest brother.

Shouto blinked blanky before bowing slightly, “I'm sorry, I was quite eager to meet you, Hawks-san.” He mumbled.

Keigo chuckled, and put a hand at the duel-haired boy's head with a softer and gentler smile, “Stop with the formalities, Shouto-kun. You can address me by my given name, which is Keigo and it's an honour to meet you!” He responded, the blonde caught Shouto's eyes gleaming a little, he nodded.

“Okay.. Keigo-san.” Mumbled Shouto softly, charging his gaze towards his siblings whereas they were watching them with doting looks. Keigo glanced at Touya, watching him specifically with a proud grin.

Keigo grinned back, a little wider this time as they went inside the Estate with intertwined fingers and mild flirting; much to the Todoroki sibling's disgust.

Almost makes him forget that this whole thing, their relationship, is just pretend.

Almost.

“There you all are, I've been waiting!” Rei said cheerfully, clapping her hands together as she smiled at her children.

Touya yawned, “Hi, mom.” he murmured, and Keigo watched as he purposely ignored Enji's stern glare and held Keigo's hand with a firmer grip and his parted lips clearly indicating he had something to say. Although, Keigo was frozen in place.

Yet, Rei turns to him sweetly, somehow dissipating all of the retorts with ease. “How are you, my firefly?”

Touya stopped with his retaliation, facing Rei and shrugged, “Been better.” he returned the overly affectionate demeanor.

Keigo stares at the former underground hero's mother, completely starstruck! because she's gorgeous. He's seen quite a few photos of her; courtesy of Touya and she's even more beautiful in person! Like a goddess.

He nearly tenses as Rei turns to him, warm and gentle. A total contrast to her quirk and personality from what he's heard. Keigo may have been obvious about his nervousness because Touya was staring at him with visible worry and confusion.

“Hawks-san, it's a pleasure to finally meet you!” Rei exclaims softly, slowly standing up and leaning down for a formal bow. Keigo stammers as he steps forward to help her up again, “Ma'am— Y–you don't have to be so modest,” He chuckles, “My name's Keigo, and it's a pleasure to meet you as well!”

Rei tilts her head upwards, studying him with her lips curling up. “It's nice to meet you, Keigo-kun, I'm glad you've been watching over Touya for us.” She murmured to him. Keigo's heart ached from the genuineness.

A snort from his ‘boyfriend’ could be heard from the room, “Uh-huh, it's more of the opposite.” He pointed a finger to himself, then to the blonde. “Me taking care of this feather-brain.” The ravenhead cackled. Keigo groaned and rolled his eyes curtly, biting a retort.

Keigo might've trembled a little as he meets Rei's eyes again. They were kind, sincere, and nurturing. Her demeanor is something he wasn't quite used to, her comforting presence is similar to Touya's. He likes that.

A warm scarred hand on his shoulder brings him back to reality, “Let's sit down, Kei.” Touya said to him with his trademark shit-eating grin.

Keigo nodded at him, too occupied to retort like he usually does; returning his gaze back to Rei who tugged on his coat sleeve to sit down beside her, and he did. Touya followed and sat beside Keigo's other side, this time however, his grin melted into a softer smirk, still gazing at the blonde with a certain shine in his blue irises.

“Alright, everyone! Let's eat.” Fuyumi suddenly exclaimed, clapping her hands together as the others did as well and mumbling their agreements.

Itadakimasu!”

“Right! I just remembered—Keigo-kun! I have a question.” Natsuo asked, mouth full of Rei's delicious curry. Touya's nose wrinkles as he narrows his eyes at him, “Natsu, don't be such a pig and eat with manners.” he scolded with furrowed brows. Natsuo scoffed, grabbing a tissue and wiping his face.

Keigo snickered, but formed a smirk nonetheless, “Go ahead!” he encouraged enthusiastically.

“How'd you and Touya meet?” Natsuo questioned, face completely neutral and curious. He drank his glass of water afterwards.

How straightforward.. Keigo thought to himself.

“Through a mission back assigned to us both by Madame President.” He answered, truth be told, their cover would be blown if they tried to spread lies and lies above one another. It's best to tell the truth sometimes, it'll help their relationship be kept lowkey, for now. Before their break-up, that is.

Natsuo nodded, pleased with the answer and continued to eat his curry. “I see, I see! So you're the guy Touya over there was always texting.” He replied, grinning widely at his brother.

Touya didn't register him with a response, therefore Shouto took this random opportunity to ask something totally uncalled for!

“Are you planning on getting married?” Shouto asked casually as if it were a normal thing to ask.

Keigo spluttered as Touya choked audibly, their faces were flushing that the duel-haired boy mentally took note of.

Touya slammed his fists on the table, “What?! Where the hell did you get that idea from?” His gaze then switched over to Fuyumi, he glared.

Fuyumi kept on eating her food, unbothered by the tension; smiling proudly of herself. “This is very delicious, mom! You really outdid yourself this time!” She chirped as Rei held a hand over her mouth in amusement of it all.

Touya grit his teeth, “Don't ignore me—!”

“Kids,” Enji's monotone voice began firmly, and everyone in the room tensed. Keigo stopped to observe them, Natsuo's brows became scrunched in fury, Shouto's eating slowed, Rei became tense slightly, Fuyumi let out a nervous chuckle, and Touya.. Touya seemed pissed to the highest degree.

“Please don't pick fights while a guest is here.” He said blankly, sighing afterwards. A clear yet quiet chuckle from Rei was heard, “Please listen to your father,” she agreed, her voice sounded a tad strained but who's Keigo to point that out?

Fuyumi snickered, “Right.” She said, full of sarcasm while she eyed Touya mischievously who merely returned the gaze filled with obvious mischief and banter.

Keigo took it upon himself to keep the conversations flowing, deliberately not minding Enji's narrowed eyes. Which both worked wonders, Fuyumi and Natsuo seemed amused, Shouto seemed intrigued, Rei seemed pleased, and Touya.. seemed happy, content. The smile and laughter he let out from Keigo's jokes got everyone quiet in surprise; the blonde ended up laughing with him.

His heart ached whenever his head reminded him that this didn't mean anything, nothing.

The family started cleaning up the plates, glasses, and utensils after eating. The winged-hero launched a couple of his feathers to bring the dishes onto the sink for washing, he had very much insisted with Natsuo that he'll help him wash it while the others poked at Touya.

“You don't have to help me, Keigo-kun! I can do this really really fast.” said Natsuo, grinning.

Keigo laughed, “What? think you can outrun the fastest man alive?”

“In dishwashing? definitely! I've been doing this since I was a baby.” He bragged, showing off his jazz hands then winced as his siblings (mostly Touya) called him loudly out from the background of their kitchen.

“LIARRRR!” cried Touya.

“Lies!” shouted Fuyumi as well.

“SHADDAP!” Natsuo shouted back, equally loud.

Keigo giggled, stifling at the amusement of it all.

“Touya-nii is such a loser sometimes,” Natsuo muttered with an eyeroll, grabbing another plate to wash. The blonde nodded, “Sometimes but he is great company and a great boyfriend.” he replied, rinsing off the newly cleaned dishes.

“Have you and Touya ever argued?”

“A handful of times back when we met, didn't quite get along because he kept acting mysterious and shit.” Keigo barked out in laughter at the various memories of Touya randomly disappearing from time-to-time back during and after missions.

Natsuo stayed silent, a more prominent smile on his face. “You really care about him a lot, huh?”

“Of course I do!” Keigo responded as quickly as lightning, unconsciously. He paused in his place after momentarily realizing what he just said.

“I'm glad.” The white-haired giggled, “Touya was never the type to be caring or opening to others, ya know. He was afraid of being in a relationship too, loathed the idea of it even.” he admitted quietly. Keigo stilled, incredulous.

What was that?

He whipped his head at him, surprised. “He— What?”

Natsuo shrugged, “He hated the thought of being in a relationship..” He stopped the faucet, “Has he mentioned anything to you about— our past?”

“Pieces of it,”

Natsuo gulped, his fingers tightening around the plate he was grasping. “Yeah, our parents didn't exactly showcase—” He grit his teeth, “A healthy relationship.”

Keigo doesn't reply, passing him a subtle nod to continue.

Natsuo leaned closer, lowering his voice to a whisper, barely audible if not for the blonde's quirk. “And Touya, don't tell him I told you this but he decided that a relationship would be a waste of time and in fear of not treating his partner properly.”

The winged-hero stared at him, puzzled.

Touya was afraid of not treating his partner properly? He then recounts all his moments with the ravenhead, placing a finger on his chin in a baffling manner.

“I didn't know that.” He mumbled after a while, “It never seemed like it to me. I mean— Touya has treated me very well, better than what most people have or anyone, really.” He said with a smile, chuckling.

Natsuo stared at him from the corner of his eye blankly. “How so? No offense but that's hardly believable. You're a pro-hero, a high ranking one at that.”

“I face my fans with a persona, that's not— it's not me.” He confessed, lowering his head. “They're talking to the perfect hero, the savior.” He looked at Natsuo from the corner of his eye, finding the man staring at him in blatant surprise. He inhaled sharply, “Touya helped me realize how fucked up that mindset was and..” He trailed off, shrugging sheepishly. This subject was uncomfortable to approach, Keigo hasn't even talked this out properly with Touya yet.

Natsuo blinked, frowning and settling his gaze back onto the dirty plates and returned to washing them. Keigo followed with drying and placing and rinsing them off.

After a heavy atmosphere and silence, the blonde picks up Natsuo's whisper, “Thank you for watching over Touya-nii. I'm glad he takes care of you too.” he grinned from ear-to-ear at the blonde.

Keigo's heart ached once more, resisting the urge to flinch and tremble in guilt, to the fact that the happy and healthy relationship this family believes in is nothing but a fake because of Keigo's cowardice.

Well, Touya does care truly for Keigo; not in the way they'd presumed though. Lying to this family that seemed to have gone through a lot already is dreadful for Keigo's part.

He understands deep down that Touya is probably having it worse; he stays silent.

After more slow drying of plates traditionally, Natsuo spoke up: “Wanna hear stories about Touya being dumb when he was a child?”

“You two done?” The ravenhead's voice suddenly said from the front of the kitchen as Natsuo finished the last of the dishes.

Touya's gaze settles on his ‘boyfriend’ and he furrows his brow, sensing the previously sullen mood between the two. Keigo's eyebrows scrunch as his wings twitch, which is not a good sign.

Touya decided to bite the bullet, “What's going on—”

“Touya-nii! Perfect timing! You should get Keigo-kun to rest in your room for the night! it's already late and we wouldn't want you guys to leave this dark and very dangerous night!” Natsuo rambled, voice in a higher pitch than usual and before the eldest brother could even move an inch— the younger brother was dragging both him and Keigo out the kitchen desperately with all the strength he could muster.

“Nat! What the hell's wrong with you?” Touya asked, steadying himself which resulted in Natsuo stumbling slightly.

Natsuo scrambled, “Nothing!”

“Do you expect me to believe—”

“Yes.” Natsuo said sternly, smirking as he demurely slammed the door on Touya's face.

Genuinely what the fuck is wrong with them always interrupting ME? Touya ruminates upsettingly.

The ravenhead scoffed in disbelief, turning to Keigo with confusion and a tad irritation.

The blonde winced and shrugged; he started chuckling nervously. “Sorry, dear. I don't know what's going on but I do know that I am very very sleepy.” he said cheekily, his wings fluttering in blatant amusement. Touya grunted dismissively, accepting defeat and placing his hands on his pockets.

“Fine, I’ll drop it. For now.” He glared, “You want to stay here for the night?”

Keigo nodded excitedly, “Sure! why not? Our apartments are cities away anyway.” He replied reasonably.

“Hm, but with your speed we could get there in.. a couple of minutes, right?” Touya mused, deciding on leaning against the wall. Objectively, they both knew that Hawks could. With his top speed, they definitely could.

“Hmmmmmmmmmmm.” Keigo pretended to think deeply, staring into the abyss absentmindedly. Touya's eye twitched, seriously?

“We could. . .” The pro-hero trailed off, a playful grin tugging on his lips as he crossed his arms.

Touya sighs in agony, “There's a but, isn't there?” He muttered.

Keigo's grin broadened, “But,” he giggled, “I'm exhausted, like SUPER exhausted.” Then he proceeded to ‘fall’ down on the wooden flooring dramatically, placing a hand over his head and chest for extra effect. His eyes snapped shut but he opened one reluctantly, The former underground raised an unamused brow; glaring at him with the intensity of a fucking sleepless man who stressed out from his work and forgot about another job he was doing.

In the end, Touya gave in. He knew he wouldn't get anywhere with Keigo's persistent ass. He tended to bend in easily for the blonde though on most occasions.

Touya rubbed his temple, “Tch, whatever. Follow me up to my room then since I know you won't budge with the idea of us leaving so soon.” about to turn on his heel, before he secretly glances over his shoulder.

Keigo gave a celebratory jump, beaming openly with his wings fluttering happily behind him. He seemed totally different and composed than when they were on the way here a few hours ago.

Touya thinks, I wonder what he and Nat talked about for him to be this relaxed quickly.

He'll probably find out eventually, his younger brother wasn't the type to easily zip his mouth shut.

Fuyumi walked over to her brothers, excluding Touya since he and Keigo were already ‘asleep’. Not that she buys it but she doesn't know who Touya thinks he's fooling, he's probably messing around with his newfound boyfriend.

Wait a minute.

Does this mean that they.. will have to give Hawks, the number three hero, the most popular among the popularity polls, a shovel talk?

How would they even accomplish that?

And as if Natsuo could read Fuyumi's mind, “I'm sure we don't need to give mr. number three a shovel talk, Yumi. Don't worry about it.” He said reassuringly, then he narrowed his eyes at her in an accusing manner.

“Besides.. you were there when I was telling Keigo stories about Touya, weren't you?” Natsuo cackled, “You're not slick, sister!”

Fuyumi flushed, “So maybe I was?! I got curious, okay? and you two seemed like you were having fun!” she argued, strictly placing her hands on her hips.

Natsuo wiped an invisible tear from his cheek, “We were! you should've joined us.” he remarked with a gentler tone. Grinning like the dumb dork he is.

Fuyumi blinked, then sighed. “Yeah, I should've.” She admitted quietly before chuckling. Natsuo snatched his tea cup and drank it up while they flowed into a conversation of debating whether or not they should still give Hawks a shovel talk.

Not an hour later, Shouto barges in. Politely, to be precise. His eyes flicker from his older sister to older brother.

“Are you two talking about Touya-nii and Keigo-san?” He asked bluntly, face completely flat and unreadable from any sort of expression.

The two older siblings glance at each other, “Yes, we are! Do you wanna join? we're not talking about anything negative!” Fuyumi encouraged happily, carefully placing her tea cup down on the coffee table. Shouto nodded, making a move over towards his two siblings and grabbing a cup of his own.

He sat down, “What're you two talking about, exactly?” expecting a number of answers ranging from strange to utmost strangest, which was most likely not the case. Perhaps Himiko started influencing his thoughts more than he imagined.

Natsuo put his index finger up, “About whether or not we should give Hawks a famous Todoroki Shovel Talk! A.k.a T-S-T!” He responded brightly. Fuyumi nodded swiftly, giggling cheekily onto her palm.

..So Himiko didn't influence his thoughts largely (yet) because that was one of his possible answers.

Shouto hummed, “I see, have you two decided then?” he mused, wondering what they would have already come up with for an idea. Honestly, the duel-haired boy hasn't actually given anyone a shovel talk yet. His siblings have, maybe. Or most likely only referring to the rom-coms Fuyumi forces them to watch on movie nights. Yeah, most likely.

“Nope!” said Fuyumi, popping the ‘p’ as she put a finger on her chin. Blinking rapidly. This was undeniably a motion that meant she was thinking about it very carefully, with lots of consideration.

His older brother groaned, “I feel like it would be awkward, to give a shovel talk.” He glanced at his sister, “You do it first, Yumi! Then Shouto and I will do it too right after!” He suggested, sounding proud of himself. Fuyumi closed her eyes, a frown on her face.

Shouto shook his head, delicately putting his empty cup away. “I did not agree—”

“You're doing it with me, lil brother.” Natsuo settles firmly without further argument, Shouto takes a breather; Fuyumi fixes her glasses, a determined look on her face instead of her usual kind demeanor. She was planning something, an interesting occasion typically.

Shouto took a brief stare at Natsuo, who grinned back at him knowingly.

“Do we have to do this?” Mumbled Shouto, tip-toeing to their eldest brother's room. In which they all are aware of the couple who are inside together.

Natsuo shushes him, a finger next to his lips. Also on his tippy-toes, trailing behind his sister discreetly. The youngest Todoroki frowned, this was Fuyumi's plan, to sneak into their eldest brother's room while he's asleep. To photograph the couple that's probably cuddling at this very moment. As Fuyumi quoted.

Shouto would not like to believe that Touya, of all people, would cuddle someone. He rarely ever saw his brother touch someone in general, whether it's a handshake, hug, or something. Even their siblings, Touya would accept the hugs but hardly ever initiated one. The ravenhead tended to shake people off whenever they tried; Himiko was a prime example herself.

Fuyumi made a non-committal noise, stopping her lurking in out of the blue. She turned over to her shoulder, her brows furrowed.

His older brother stopped, “What?”

“I think Keigo-kun is still awake.” She whispered worriedly, fearing her very genius scheme may not work after all.

Ha, called it. Shouto thought intriguingly.

“Can't be, it's 12 o'clock!” Natsuo replied confidently.

“We know, captain obvious.” Shouto and Fuyumi said in unison, the youngest brother warily inspected the door of their eldest brother's room, inching closer and closer.

“Careful, Sho!” His two older siblings whisper-yelled. Shouto scoffed, “Yeah, got it.”

The two held their breath as Shouto began opening the door at the speed of a snail, head peeking through the slightest opening.

Natsuo and Fuyumi quickly scrambled into positions above their youngest brother as he gave the gesture of the clearance.

“What is it? what do you see?” Natsuo asked repeatedly, his buffed build making it heavy for Shouto's back to manhandle them both. Damn it.

Fuyumi grunted in a struggle to see clearly, “How should I know? I can barely see with your stupid hair—!”

“Don't you talk about my hair with that head of.. uhm.” Natsuo paused, unable to find something to retort or compare their sister's hair for.

Fuyumi smirked, “Hmph, you thought you could insult my hair? it's a hundred times better than yours.” She bragged, gaze still fixated on the hardly visible couple in front of them.

Shouto sighed, “Please stop arguing, you're gonna wake them up.” he pleaded silently, tired of it all and they haven't even gotten information that's an ounce of– well, anything.

“There's no sign of movement yet,” Natsuo whispered, voice being snarky.

Shouto rolled his eyes, struggling to keep the two of his siblings in place without falling and risking blowing their cover. Fuyumi made a 'hmph’ noise, “Obviously.” they said in unison once more, tone all the more sarcastic.

Silence falls on them as they observe warily, waiting for any sign of wakefulness before striking.

“It's dark.” Natsuo said after a while.

“We know.”

Fuyumi tip-toed to the comfortably sleeping couple, glaring at her younger brothers from over her shoulder who basically chose to offer her to the wolves.

She swiftly grabbed her phone from her pocket, ready to capture a photo of a milestone.

She froze as her older brother stirred in his sleep, rolling over to face the wall while Keigo's arm draped over his waist and his wing draping over

How adorable! She thought sweetly.

They infrequently ever see Touya as openly affectionate. They know that he does love them, but his affection towards them is in the actions that you'd never think all that hard about.

He didn't seem like the PDA type of guy.

People can change, after all. Fuyumi wondered amusingly, positioning her phone to snap a picture.

She chases the thoughts of maybe she just never really understood Touya as well as she thought.

On the other hand, Fuyumi may or may not have snapped at least ten copies of it. But—! This is a miracle, it'll undoubtedly never be seen again.

She turns on her heel, tip-toeing with the speed of a snail while gracefully geeking at her successful scheme.

“Huh? Who's..?” Keigo's voice suddenly said, Fuyumi has never whipped her head around so fast, and her brothers had never shut the door so fast as well; leaving her to deal with the unsuccessful attempt.

She eyes the blonde cautiously, who stirred and amber eyes flickering shut. The Todoroki sister held her breath and sighed in relief when Keigo rolled over to the other way, not facing Fuyumi anymore.

She makes a goddamn run for the door and a beeline towards her younger brothers without a single drop of mercy.

Touya wakes up to the horrid noise of buzzing from his phone. He sits up, vision groggy as he groans in weariness.

His gaze slowly flicked over to the body next to him, Keigo. And his cheeks start heating up, a conversation from his mother a few hours prior had his perspective changed.

No, he can't think about that right now! Not when Keigo's this close. The blonde's still fast asleep and snoring comfortably, doesn't he usually wake up first before Touya? Was he actually that tired?

But it's not.. It's still dark through the window. He thought improperly, barely registering anything aside from Keigo.

The ravenhead shakes his head, unable to think rationally with that god-forsaken sound. He moved his arm to silence his phone, which meant letting go of Keigo in the process. He sighs, getting a hold of his phone, based on the painfully bright screen which seemed to be blowing up and exploding in thousands of notifications from.. Twitter.

What the actual fuck??? Touya thinks irritatingly, mood already ruined despite only having awoken 42 seconds ago.

He reluctantly opens Twitter in uneasiness, he blinks once, then twice when he notices the username of his sister on the very top of it all.

Awhh! never would have pegged you for the cuddler type, @EtherealFlamesAO🤣🤣

[Darkened image of two figures cuddling one another, one had black hair, the other had blonde. The blonde's hand was holding the ravenhead's waist while the black-haired figure held the back of the blonde's head with one hand.]

All the best, your dearest bestest sister😇😇

In all seriousness though, the meeting of Hawks-san was amazing! We loved having him around, hopefully @Dabi here doesn't gatekeep him or wtv.

[Image of the Todoroki Family and Hawks, who had huge smiles on their faces, except Enji yet he didn't look irritated or scary at all, merely blank. They were surrounded by a table with a variety of food, everyone excluding Natsuo who took the photo beforehand.]

[Image of Natsuo and Hawks in front of the sink, washing and drying the dishes while laughing. A strand of white hair with a single red streak appeared on the corner of the image, most likely Fuyumi who had taken the picture.]

All the best, your dearest bestest hottest brother! @Dabi

Burnin' is that you on my father's account trying to save his reputation

Touya's eye twitches as he reads the continuous amount of Twitter posts this.. early. He stared at the time, showing that it was 2 in the fucking morning.

It's way too fucking early for this, I'm going back to get my beauty sleep. Touya settled, releasing a breath.

He promptly closed his phone, snuck back under the covers and went back to sleep. He'll be sure to murder his siblings tomorrow brutally.

Tsunagu watches as Shinya grits his teeth upon coming across Fuyumi Todoroki's twitter post. He was clearly upset and pissed; Tsunagu doesn't know what to do with that.

“Kamihara,” He began professionally, attempting to hide the pity in his voice.

Shinya waved him off, “No, don't you lecture me again. I've got it, lesson heard and understood.” he muttered, breathing in and out to compose himself.

Tsunagu sighs in resignation, delicately putting a hand over his neatly combed hair as he holds his phone in his other hand. He narrowed his eyes at the screen in confusion, an unanticipated question popping in his brain.

Just what are you doing, Hawks?

Keigo wakes up to the beautiful rays of sunlight peeking through Touya's opened window. He yawns, moving the covers as he tries to sit up before swiftly realizing the arm wrapped around his waist and head. He yelps unexpectedly, falling back onto the warm bed, the blonde blinks before stifling a groan of annoyance.

He turns to his side to seize the culprit, his annoyance dissipating at the mere sight of a vulnerable, peacefully napping Touya beside him without a care in the world.
