Hello! I know this is a bit awkward but it is quite necessary for the plot because the protagonists are OCs that nobody knows except for some beta-readers and some friends of mine (not counting the original drones of the series), so…why not introduce them for all of you? You can take this as Chapter 0 since in reality the next chapter is the real chapter 1.
What are our new protagonists and where do they come from?:
I present to you the ‘’Zeraphyms’’ robots quite humanoid in appearance but being quite different from any drone (they still have certain similarities but few at the end of the day). They in their universe were absolute destroyers and extermination machines that were under the possession of ‘’The Machina Agency’’ an intergalactic agency of robots with unique powers.
Being war machines and because they fight 99% of the time they were designed with the ability to feed on the fluids of their enemies, mainly blood! (they can't feed on water in case you ask) in order to recover and obtain energy, they possess a large number of powerful futuristic weapons along with several unique powers for each of them, they may seem invincible but they are not, they have several weaknesses that you will see throughout this story. They come from another universe where the already named "Machina Agency" is in a war against an alien empire called "The S'kols" who are extremely sadistic and intelligent creatures, in appearance they could be summarized as snakes that can open their jaws like a demogorgon or spider-crabs inspired by the species "Amblypygi", you will see more of the Machina Agency and the S'kols throughout the fanfic!
Who are our protagonists?
Character - Alpha (α).
Role - Team captain.
Personality - He is a bit of a fool but not that much, He cares a lot about his teammates but sometimes he will put them on the "side" if the goal he does seems more important to him. Despite being a war machine he is quite polite with everyone and tries to do the best for everyone... but behind that layer of "good guy" hides a deep fear for his past actions, maybe he doesn't remember them, but there is an ancient horror that is hunting him and his teammates and IT DOES NOT SEEK TO STOP.
Outfit and hair - He wears a well-dressed suit with blue-purple stripes, he is approximately 2 meters with 92 centimeters or 9.58 feet tall. He does not have a specific hairstyle but he tries to comb his hair so as not to look casual (He does not succeed and he does not really care but he cannot stop himself).
Combat style - Generalist: He concentrates on all the weapons he has but because he generalizes in all he is not the best but neither is he the worst.
Character - Zeta (ζ).
Role - Vice Captain of the team.
Personality - Sarcastic and a joker, she makes fun of her teammates in a friendly way and despite being the vice captain of the group she never gave an order in her life! She is quite calm although she has some moments when she ends up exploding. She has a very close platonic relationship with Alpha and Gamma to the point that sometimes they see each other as siblings. She tries to look her best in her appearance not in an obsessive way, it is rather a personal taste of hers. She fears being a failure to everyone she cares, also that if Alpha dies she will not know how to handle things and that she will cause terrible things for the future of her teammates.
Appearance and hair - She wears a long-sleeved purple turtleneck with dark blue shorts. she is approximately 2 meters with 76 centimeters or 9.05 feet tall. She has long hair that reaches her back, she does not tie it but she takes care of it a lot since it makes her feel "free" according to her own words.
Combat Style - Melee: She loves Melee weapons, you will see her use her swords along with her tail and sometimes a unique modification of her energy revolvers.
Character - Beta (β).
Role - Scientist and inventor.
Personality: A sociopath (only with those he minimally respects, except with his squad), he is a psychopath with any other external life form, extremely sadistic, a bastard, insane in the bad sense of the word, he insults everyone equally and is also someone bitter and angry. Incredibly he is the second member who cares the most about his team (of course, he hides it), he is the smartest and wisest of the group, you will see him build incredible things throughout this story! He, like Alpha, remembers part of his past but he only has vague visions of his origin but nothing more than that.
Appearance and hair - He wears a loose lab coat that hangs off his shoulders (amazingly it doesn't come loose with anything, he decides whether to take it off or not), a reddish-gray buttoned shirt and long pants, he is approximately 2 meters 73 centimeters or 8.95 feet tall. He has long hair like Zeta and like her, He doesn't tie it but he doesn't take care of it either.
Combat style - Long distances: uses powerful railguns that he modified so that he can decide how they are fired (Sniper rifle or a slow semi-automatic rifle) or some modifications of his energy revolvers to make them more long-range weapons than medium-short-range weapons.
Character - Gamma (γ).
Role - The Tank of the group (or basically the Heavy weapons guy of the group).
Personality - The kindest and most gentle of the group (he is a bit inspired by the iron giant, amazing movie by the way), quite playful with his team (Beta hates him on the outside but actually loves him like a little brother). Despite his large size and kindness, he is not at all an idiot or weakling in combat, do not confuse his kindness with weakness!, he is also someone quite wise with those he considers his friends and knows how to help them. Like Alpha and Beta, he remembers part of his past…but he remembers the atrocities he committed, he is disgusted and terrified by the things he did, he doesn't want to become a “monster” again and hurt those he cares about.
Appearance and hair - He wears a black trench coat that reaches his knees and his head is a little “wider” than the rest of his companions, he is the second largest and tallest of all! measuring 5 meters with 98 centimeters or 19.61 feet tall (don't worry, several places in the Murder Drones universe have been increased in size so he can fit but not all!), he has short hair and he is the only one who has it well combed.
Combat style - Medium distance: He uses miniguns or quite strong explosives, his attacks are the second most destructive of all but they are the slowest, he also has incredible endurance so he is the second that can withstand the most damage!
Unique Power - Parry: Any attack he manages to hit with his fists can be "parried" by him, as he takes the energy of the attack and powers it up to a point where he can no longer hold it and releases it in a powerful blow that creates explosions!
Character - Delta (δ).
Role - As such, none.
Personality - He is basically the "Madman" of the group, the definition of madness, he is completely unpredictable to the point that trying to predict what he will do is considered an impossible task, there are times when he laughs at absolutely nothing or other times where he behaves like a dog or cat! The only thing he will always do is walk on all fours. Unlike his teammates, he is the only one who can't talk, he can only say gibberish but hey... at least you can understand (in part) what he wants to say, he can't talk because of a permanent damage he suffered in an old fight BUT HEY WE'RE NOT GOING TOO FAR IN THE STORY!, despite being crazy he is not stupid being in fact the second smartest of all.
Appearance and hair - He wears a torn and battered suit along with 'Steampunk' glasses, he is the smallest of the group barely measuring 2 meters and 50 centimeters or 8.2 feet tall. As you expect, he is completely disheveled and dirty but he doesn't care (in fact, he even likes it).
Unique Power - Hyper Regeneration: Although all Zeraphyms can regenerate, Delta does it much faster and can regenerate from absurd things that would kill anyone, but he has a limit! So don't think that he knows the phrase "Self-preservation sense."
Character - Omega (Ω)
Role - Riesen (Giant in German) and the true leader of all!
Personality - He doesn't matter much for now but he will be a key character for the plot, I will only tell you that he is someone serious but at the same time a joker and that he is like "A father" for the rest of the Zeraphyms! You will see him shine much, much later.
Appearance - Imagine a Jaeger from Pacific Rim but much more "stylized" and thin, it has characteristics of all its "children" in its appearance, it is the tallest of all measuring the abysmal amount of 150 meters in height along with a wingspan of 580 meters or 492 feet in height along with 1902.89 feet of wingspan. It has no hair but it has a helmet with horns similar to those of a deer and in its chest it has a "core" that gives it energy and keeps it alive.
There are other quite important OCs but I will not tell anything about them until their appearance since for now they are not relevant or are spoilers of the size of a planet, I hope you like the story lads!
