Chapter Text

The doppelganger Shen Qingqiu and Luo Binghe were passionately kissing. Right in front of the Better™ Luo Binghe. It was an insult of the highest order! This was not acceptable.

As he fell into the rift, all he could think was, “IT SHOULD’VE BEEN ME!! NOT HIM!! I’M BETTER IN EVERY WAY!!!!” How could that pathetic man woo his heartless shizun? What did he do differently? His shizun would never budge or warm up to him in all his years of studying under him!

When he got back to his palace, he couldn’t get that scene out of his head. Immediately, a few of his wives rushed over to comfort him, but he couldn’t care less. He never felt that special connection with any of them. At this point they all looked the same to him, simply serving as a way to curb Xin Mo’s effects. He wanted a nice shizun of his own.

“I need some time alone,” said Binghe as he stared menacingly at his wives. They quickly bowed before backing away. They hurriedly scurried off. Now he was alone with his thoughts. Over and over again, the nice shizun’s smile kept flashing in his head. He remembered how gently he was taken care of, He remembered the gentle head pats he so desperately wanted again. He felt warm inside, something he never felt around his wives. Although they all said they loved him, did they really? By the second, Luo Binghe felt more sure that he never actually loved his wives back.

“Surely there’s someone out there who loves me that way.” Binghe was in his bedroom, gripping Xin Mo firmly in his hand. He didn’t give a shit about any of the wives at this point. He couldn’t care less about all the riches and power he acquired. He only had one person in his mind and he was going to get to him no matter what. A rift began slowly appearing in front of him.

“Xin mo. Take me to the person who loves me most, someone just like the nice shizun.” With that, he stepped into the abyss willingly.

……

“God I hate this novel.” Shen Yuan was raging. Once again, this week’s update of Proud Immortal Demon Way disappointed him to his core. The entire update was over seventy five percent poorly written papapa with Binghe’s new wife of the week #664, something he thought was always written extremely poorly, even for Airplane bro’s standards.

Shen Yuan moved his computer mouse on top of his Luo Binghe tiddy mousepad and began typing on his Luo Binghe themed keyboard. He hugged his Luo Binghe body pillow close to him as he began typing the long, scathing review of the update. He was so engrossed in writing that he didn’t notice the faint red glow beginning to take form.

After finishing his review, he sent it to the forum smugly before closing the website, revealing a Luo Binghe desktop background. He turned around only to come face to face with… a life size Binghe?

Oh no. Shen Yuan was screwed. A Luo Binghe cosplayer somehow managed to break into his apartment, which is filled to the brim with Binghe merch. If someone found out that THE peerless cucumber, the most scathing critic of Proud Immortal Demon Way, lived in a house covered from floor to ceiling of Luo Binghe merch, he was screwed.

The cosplayer finally spoke with amusement, “So this is the abode of the one who loves this Lord the most.”

Shen Yuan was mortified. “N-no! You got it all wrong!” He needed to convince the cosplayer that he was truly not a fan of Binghe. He had a reputation to uphold!

Luo Binghe eyed the body pillow Shen Yuan was holding. Truly, the drawing was magnificent. Tits out and all.

“What did I get wrong? You clearly look like you love me.”

Shen Yuan frantically looked around the room at all the Binghe merch, trying to find explanations for each. Surely he could come up with a reasonable excuse for everything if he tried hard enough.

“You see, I bought this mouse pad to help rest my wrist!” Shen Yuan exclaimed while holding up the Binghe tiddy mousepad. He paused. Why was he even justifying himself to an intruder? His safety was at risk right now!

“No, wait, what are you doing in my house?!” Shen Yuan jolted up from his Luo Binghe limited edition gaming chair. “Get the fuck out right now or I’m calling the cops.”

Luo Binghe simply stared in amusement. “You really think you can do something to me, huh?” He smirked. Shen Yuan could feel his face heating up, goddamn that cosplayer was insanely hot.

Binghe leaned in close to Shen Yuan. “How adorable.” Oh fuck. Shen Yuan could feel a certain cucumber slowly rising. He absolutely could not have this cosplayer see this. After all, he was purely 100% a straight, heterosexual man! But it was too late.

“Even your member is adorable!” Shen Yuan quickly covered his crotch area. This was way too embarrassing. Luo Binghe was even pointing at it! “Fuck, I’m so excited to take you back to my palace.” Wait, what palace?

“What do you mean by that?” Shen Yuan asked slowly. A sinking feeling slowly started to appear. His gut was telling him that man was extremely dangerous. He needed to get away fast.

“This Lord is taking you back to my harem, of course!” Luo Binghe grinned. “You will be one of my closest wives. Since you’re so in love with me, I thought you already knew this.”

“What?! But I’m a man!” Shen Yuan stammered out instinctively, “This roleplay is getting too absurd! Luo Binghe likes women, not men!”

“What’s a roleplay?” Luo Binghe said with confusion, “But that doesn’t matter. In my world, men can dual cultivate with each other.”

“I…I……” Shen Yuan was as read as a tomato. His head was spinning at this point. “I refuse to go with you! You’re not the real Luo Binghe, you’re just a random cosplayer!”

“Cosplayer?” Luo Binghe tilted his head with a slightly puzzled expression. This only made Shen Yuan blush harder, he could hear his heart pounding. Truly, this cosplayer was too charming.

Luo Binghe grinned and gently cupped Shen Yuan’s chin, “I could never lie to my beloved like that.” Trembling, Shen Yuan could only stare with wide eyes.

What was thought to be a meticulously painted demon mark started to glow. There was a static feeling in the air as a glowing red orb began taking shape. Shen Yuan rubbed his eyes, he must be hallucinating at this point. Curse you airplane shooting towards the sky! He thought. He was even hallucinating this cosplayer having powers, he really needed to take a break from reading Proud Immortal Demon Way.

Luo Binghe picked up a surprised Shen Yuan over his shoulder as the rift grew wider.

“If you have no response, this Lord just let you see for yourself! How amazing it is to be my wife!” Oh god. Shen Yuan was screaming on the inside. This was the actual Luo Binghe, not some second rate roleplayer intruder. This was not a drill! He was actually going to get kidnapped by his favorite character!

……

As Luo Binghe worked on opening the rift, he quickly realized that something was off. It took a lot more effort for him to even exert a small bit of his powers, and it was getting harder and harder for him to keep the small opening stable. Something in this world was depleting his cultivation. He needed to get out as quickly as possible.

Carrying Shen Yuan was getting harder to do, and he could no longer maintain the size of the current portal. His body felt heavy and, before he knew it, he fell to the ground. The portal closed abruptly, leaving no traces.

Shaking, Luo Binghe stared blankly ahead. He could feel no spiritual energy. This world had successfully taken away all of his cultivation. Why did he even wait? What was the point of talking, this man was already in love with him!

With a defeated look, Luo Binghe turned to Shen Yuan, “I… I’m stuck here now.” In an unfamiliar world, completely powerless to protect himself. But at least he was now with his beloved, someone who genuinely loved him.

Luo Binghe was absolutely screwed. At this point, he wasn’t even sure if he could open the Qiankun pouch that contained all of his belongings. He wanted to bring Shen Yuan back with him, not get stuck in this unfamiliar world. With his hand trembling, he slowly picked himself off the floor.

“So there’s no cultivation here right?” He asked, his voice carrying a hint of anger. Alas, he could tell Shen Yuan looked both confused and terrified. The probability of him knowing what was going on was slim. Shen Yuan simply shook his head.

Luo Binghe sighed. A good half of his seduction techniques required some semblance of cultivation. Wooing future wives with his fighting, offering up his blood, he couldn’t do any of that. He scanned the room more closely. It seemed like he didn’t need to try as hard after all. The room was covered in his face, his abs. Even his... heavenly pillar was printed on a life-size pillow the length of his body.

“If you want, I can try to help you get back to your world!” Shen Yuan stammered, “Although I’m not the most knowledgeable about this world, I’ll do my research!” Luo Binghe stared at his determined face. Over the years, he became an expert at reading the expressions of others. He was able to tell whether someone was lying based on their body language and expression. Shen Yuan was genuine. It was the first in a long time he saw such an expression. He could begin to understand why that crybaby Binghe was so clingy.

Luo Binghe relaxed slightly, “This Lord accepts your offer.” Now he just needed to find a way to get back, and convince Shen Yuan to go with him.

……

Shen Yuan was panicking. He quickly realized that Luo Binghe was looking around the room, staring at all of the expensive merch of himself. At this point, he was fine with Luo Binghe seeing things such as the limited edition Xin Mo replica he worked so hard to get, or the standee of Luo Binghe on his throne, triumphantly grinning. However, he was totally not ok with him seeing his tiddy mousepad, and especially not his exclusive, uncensored Luo Binghe body pillow!! He needed to get Luo Binghe out of his room no matter what.

Suddenly Shen Yuan heard a gentle knock on his door.

“Young Master Shen, your meal is ready.” His private chef said. Whew, this was the perfect excuse to take Luo Binghe outside of his cursed room. He turned to his favorite character.

“Uh, are you hungry?” Shen Yuan offered, “My chef finished cooking my dinner, you can have some if you want.”

Luo Binghe stood there for a second, before nodding.

He shouted, “I’m coming! Also my friend is going to eat with me.” He immediately opened the door and rushed outside, gesturing to Luo Binghe to follow him.

……

Dinner was red-braised beef noodle soup, one of Shen Yuan’s favorites. Luo Binghe sat next to him on the countertop, clearly too large for the stool.

Shen Yuan watched eagerly as Luo Binghe took a sip of the broth mixed with some noodles.”

“I can do better,” Luo Binghe stated confidently, “The broth is a bit too salty and the noodles are overcooked. Also why is it so oily?” He then took a bite out of the beef.

“The beef is too chewy, it’s supposed to melt in your mouth,” Luo Binghe added. Damn, was he Gordon Ramsay or something? His personal chef was a Michelin star chef! He was by no means terrible.

“Ah- Hey!” Shen Yuan yelped. Luo Binghe had pulled his bowl of noodles away.

“I’ll cook something better for you,” Luo Binghe said. Wait what. Luo Binghe was going to cook for him?! His cooking was supposed to be reserved for only his favorite wives, not some random shut-in! Then Shen Yuan’s brain betrayed him. The words “This Lord is taking you back to my harem” repeated in his head. Oh no. It seems like Binghe was serious about courting him.

“No, I'm okay! I actually really like my dinner!” Shen Yuan said quickly. He had to stop this courting attempt as fast as possible. It was too late. Luo Binghe was already in the kitchen.

However, it didn’t take Shen Yuan long to realize that Luo Binghe had no idea what he was doing. After all, it was a modern kitchen, with appliances completely foreign to someone living in a Xianxia world. Luo Binghe stared at the blank countertop, scratching his head. Really, this scene was too funny. Shen Yuan couldn’t help but let out a chuckle.

Luo Binghe whipped his head around, his expression containing a hint of anger.

“Aiyah, don’t worry. It’s only natural you don’t know how a modern kitchen works. Do you want me to teach you how the kitchen works?” Shen Yuan laughed. Man what was he doing, aiding in Luo Binghe’s attempt at courting him. No, it’s ok. After all, he had to learn eventually, now that he was stuck in this world.

Shen Yuan stood next to him. “So, what do you want to make?”

“Red-braised beef noodle soup,” Luo Binghe answered quickly. Wow, he really wanted to one-up his private chef.

Shen Yuan sighed then nodded. He opened the refrigerator. “So this is a refrigerator, it’s where you’ll find most of the ingredients.”

Even without cultivation, Luo Binghe was an extremely fast learner. No matter how unfamiliar the appliance, it didn’t seem to take much for him to understand how it worked. Shen Yuan watched in awe as Luo Binghe perfectly cut the beef into thin slices, just how he enjoyed them. Before long, the kitchen smelled incredible and Shen Yuan’s mouth was already watering.

With a proud expression, Luo Binghe plopped the bowl of noodle soup down in front of Shen Yuan. Curse you airplane!! Why did you make the protagonist so skilled at cooking? That bowl of noodles was the single most appetizing thing Shen Yuan laid his eyes upon. Carefully, he picked up the spoon, and took a sip.

……

Luo Binghe watched with great satisfaction as he watched Shen Yuan wolf down his food. Of course, none of his wives-to-be could resist his cooking and this was no exception. In no time, the bowl was completely finished. Only then, did he begin eating his own bowl.

“Uh so I have a question,” Shen Yuan asked him, “Why do you want to take me into your harem? It’s extremely OOC.”

“OOC?” This must be one of the words exclusive to Shen Yuan’s world.

“Out of Character. Don’t you have a harem of beauties back home? I’m just a lowly shut-in who reads trashy novels.” Shen Yuan sighed.

“I asked Xin Mo to take me to the person who loves me the most,” Luo Binghe said nonchalantly, “And it took me to you.”

“Xin mo was wrong! I only love you as a character, not romantically!” Shen Yuan almost screamed, face fully red, “But that’s not the point, we should be focusing on how to bring you back to your world.”

Luo Binghe smiled at him. God his A-Yuan was too cute.
