Good friends, Better boyfriends - Wade, Drew and Sheamus Oneshots

Chapter 11: Coffee

Summary:

A request from MapsMizoguchi:

'Aw, this is so sad, everyone hating Drew glad his boyfriends are with him. I wonder if they'll ever say who did reach out. I assume Sheamus for real, but we'll see.

Totally optional prompt: coffee shop date? Big fan of coffee shop AUs in general, but a little date time for them would also be adorable.'

Chapter Text

Drew woke up slowly that morning, feeling.. A weight on his chest. He opened his eyes, wondering if Fang had miraculously gained 20lbs only to see Wade. Of course. Wade was laying on his front with half his body resting on Drew's chest, his arm wrapped around him. Drew smiled, reaching up and gently petting Wade's hair as he slept. These moments.. This. This is what kept Drew going through his feud with Punk, through Bad Blood and Hell in a Cell. The quiet moments in the early morning light, just him and his partners together before the day had begun. The tender moments between them, hair petting and gentle kisses as they try not to hurt their battered bodies.

"You're up." Sheamus hummed softly as he walked into the room, glass of water in hand,"I didn't wake you, did I?"

"Of course not." Drew shook his head, holding his arm open,"What did you get up for so early anyway?"

"Fang must've knocked my water down through the night, and I was thirsty." Sheamus answered, setting his glass down before getting back into bed beside Drew.

Drew smiled, wrapping his arm around Sheamus' midsection,"Y'know.. I'd do another ten Hell in a Cell matches if it meant every morning I had got to be like this."

"Drew.." Sheamus sighed.

"I'm serious." Drew shook his head,"Holding you two close, just listening to the quiet.. It's perfect."

"You know Wade isn't letting you within ten feet of a steel cage after that." Sheamus chuckled softly, resting his head on Drew's shoulder.

"He'd never forgive me if I did that to myself again, would he?" Drew asked slowly, looking down at Wade.

"He cares about you too much." Sheamus nodded,"..We both do."

"Don't get all mushy on me now, love." Drew smirked, kissing his forehead,"How about we do something nice today then? Something for all three of us?"

"What did you have in mind?" Sheamus raised a brow.

"Just- A nice date. Where do people do on dates?" Drew asked.

"Mm.. God, I need a coffee." Wade mumbled, squeezing Drew as he began to wake up.

"Coffee. There. That's a great idea." Drew ruffled the barely awake Wade's hair,"Great idea, Bad News."

"..Huh?" Wade slowly forced himself up, rubbing his eyes,"What are you even on about?"

"We're going on a coffee shop date, so don't make yourself any before we go." Sheamus informed him, unable to stop smiling.

"Had an adequate amount of rest, sleeping beauty?" Drew smirked.

"Oh, shut up." Wade nudged him as he sat looking down at Drew,"Forgive me for trying to get an appropriate amount of hours of sleep."

"Come on, you know I'm just teasing. Besides, it's nice having a free weighted blanket." Drew hummed,"You're warm and it's when you lay on me, just the right amount of pressure."

Wade huffed and leaned against Drew's shoulder,"So.. Coffee?"

"Mhm." Sheamus nodded,"How does around lunch sound?"

"I don't want to wait that long for coffee." Wade pointed.

"You can have a small one with breakfast as long as you don't ruin your appetite for it." Drew told him.

"That sounds.. Better." Wade nodded slowly.

"Good." Drew kissed the top of his head,"Now, as much as I love this, I think it's time we get ready, hm?"

"I suppose." Wade rested his head against Drew's neck.

They ended up staying just a little longer in bed, just cuddling each other. Sheamus and Wade, especially after the experience they had on the guy's trip, didn't want to leave Drew's side. At least one of them was leaning against or just around him at all times. Even Drew could admit when they all needed to take a break and just relax.. They deserved that. They deserved something nice. That afternoon, Wade was the one to drive them down to the coffee shop, a place that they had admittedly never been. Pubs? Even restaurants? Yeah. All three of them had been to plenty together, but they'd never really been coffee shop people. At Wade's request, they glanced through the menu online to see what they could get, so they weren't entirely clueless.

When they entered it was.. So different to all the places they usually frequently. It wasn't fancy or anything like that but it was certainly homey and comfortable, the smell of coffee there immediately. It surprisingly wasn't too strong though, just enough to relax them without completely overwhelming everything. Drew and Sheamus left Wade to order while they found a table for the three of them, sitting down and almost sinking into the booth at the side.

"Woah, I was not expecting this." Drew commented as he looked around.

"It's nice, isn't it? Something new?" Sheamus hummed.

"Definitely new." Drew nodded slowly,"But I'll get used to it."

"You know, maybe this was what we needed. Just something relaxing for us three." Sheamus smiled, reaching over and squeezing his hand.

"I'm always full of great ideas." Drew winked.

"Sometimes." Sheamus shrugged.

"Wh- Sometimes?" Drew scoffed.

"You aren't always the brightest, love." Sheamus chuckled,"Remember when you tried-"

"I don't like where this story is going." Drew leaned forward and covered Sheamus' mouth with his hand.

Sheamus spoke against Drew's hand and he snickered at the sensation, but he had no idea what he said. That's when Wade walked over to the table, tray in hand. Three cups of coffee and three little cakes that just looked adorable. Then again, how was Drew supposed to eat a cake that looked like a cat and not feel bad about it.

"Figured you'd both like a little treat with your coffee." Wade hummed.

"You figured right." Sheamus smiled.

"I guess he did." Drew nodded as he looked it over.

"It's just chocolate, Drew." Wade assured him,"Nothing sneaking around in there."

"Shut up." Drew smirked, shaking his head.

"Just saying." Wade shrugged.

When Wade sat down, Sheamus moved around the booth and leaned against his side. Wade smiled and wrapped his arm around his, pressing a kiss to the side of his head. Drew just smiled as he watched them, they just looked so happy. Of course relaxing was nice, but Drew knew both his boyfriends needed this, especially after the failed guy's trip. After dealing with all of his issues, they deserved to drink coffee and eat cake on a coffee shop date.

"Oi- Come here." Wade pulled Drew close to his side, nearly making him spill his coffee in the process.

"Wade, what are-" Drew began.

But Wade just kissed the top of his head,"We love you, okay? I love you."

"I love you too, dafty." Drew chuckled.

"We should do this more often, y'know, go places that aren't just the pub." Sheamus hummed.

"It's not a bad idea." Wade shrugged,"But we should definitely go to another pub next."

"Enough about the next time, let's just enjoy this time first."Drew sighed softly.

"Of course." Wade smiled,"Now drink your coffee."

"Don't rush me, I'm getting there." Drew shook his head.

And while Drew did start to drink his coffee, he leaned back into Wade's side. This.. This was nice, and God, Drew wouldn't give this up for the world. He felt Wade running his hands through his hair, he felt Sheamus reach over and squeeze his free hand and.. And Drew was happy.
