Chapter 1: A Queen's Sudden Interest
Chapter Text
(Prologue: The Rao System)
Deep within the Andromeda Galaxy lays a vast empire that encompasses and governs many different worlds as well as many races and cultures within their native solar system and far beyond that. The Kryptonian Empire is ruled over by a very intelligent and extremely powerful race of extraterrestrial people known as the Kryptonians.
Their home world of Krypton orbits around a bright yellow star, which the Kryptonians had nicknamed "Rao", after their Sun God. The sun also granted every Kryptonian on the planet with amazing abilities, which also allowed them to explore their native galaxy as well as expand to other worlds and inhabit them.
Like many of the other great races such as the Kree, Skrulls, or the Shi'ar, the Kryptonians have also used science to further advance their already incredible society; so much so that they never get sick, if at all, and can live far longer than most species. Their military forces have also been enhanced to the point that not even the Skrull, Kree, or Shi'ar Empires would dare challenge the might of the Kryptonians out of fear of being wiped out. The Kryptonians also brought about a long-lasting peace for the warring races within their native system. All was right with their galaxy...
The Kryptonians are currently living under the rule of Kara Zor-L of the noble House of El, and she has lead and ruled over the Kryptonian Empire for nearly 30 years.
(Kandor: Capitol City of Krypton)
Currently, Krypton's Queen, who was wearing a beautiful and elegant white dress with gold trimming and a revealing cleavage window of her magnificent breasts. A small golden crown adorned the beautiful woman's head, the House of El symbol etched on the middle of the crown. Kara lets out a heavy sigh as she sits on her throne, a look of boredom etched on her beautiful, flawless face as a fellow Kryptonian enters her throne room, his arms full of treasures.
"What do you want, Jar-Ax?" Kara asks in a bored tone as she looks at the male Kryptonian standing in front of her. Jar-Ax was a Kryptonian of average height, around 6'3", with a lean, muscular build. He was quite handsome for a Kryptonian and had many Kryptonian women swoon for him, but Jar-Ax had eyes for only one woman.
"Forgive me for my intrusion, my Queen...but never in my life have I ever seen such perfection nor such beauty from a woman like yourself..." Jar-Ax expressed to Kara as he laid out all of his gifts on the floor to the Kryptonian Queen. "These gifts are for you, your majesty...as a token of my love for you."
Kara looked at the gifts strewn across the floor and rolled her eyes at Jar-Ax. This wasn't the first time that a man had given her gifts or treasures as some kind of offering for marriage. "Ugh, save your breath, Jar-Ax. You're not the first person that has tried to woo me with and I doubt you'll be the last..." The Kryptonian Queen said, disinterested with Jar-Ax and his gifts.
"Your majesty...I implore you...to take me as your husband. I swear to love you forever and give you the life you truly deserve!" Jar-Ax pleadingly says as he gets down on his knees.
After letting out a yawn of annoyance, Kara glares at Jar-Ax and says. "I already said, no, Jar-Ax! Guards!" The Kryptonian Queen calls out as two Kryptonian guards enter the throne room.
"Yes, my Queen?" One of the guards politely asked.
"Get this fool out of here. He's boring me." Kara orders, pointing towards Jar-Ax.
"At once, my Queen." The guard said with a nod, before glaring at the Kryptonian in question. "Come along, swine!" He yells sternly at the man as both guards grab Jar-Ax by his arms.
"No! My Queen! I'll do anything! I can please you in ways that nobody else can! Ways that men and women can only DREAM of doing to you!" Jar-Ax yells at Kara, desperately trying to change her mind, but she completely ignores him as he was dragged out and thrown to the ground outside of Kara's palace, the same as so many other suitors that have tried and failed to woo her in the past month. This was due to the High Council of Krypton repeatedly sending men to Kara in an attempt to give her a husband, as her 30th birthday was a week away.
Then, a synthetic voice calls out to Kara, saying, "My Queen, did you cast aside another potential suitor?"
Kara sadly nodded in response before saying, "Yes, Kelex. I did. Jar-Ax is just like the rest of them...Pathetic and sex-obsessed. At this rate, I'll probably live the rest of my life all alone. I'll never have the chance to find real love or have children of my own one day..." She tells Kelex. Ever since she was a young girl, Kelex was Kara's A.I as well as her closest friend, even if he was just a synthetic program.
After a somber moment of silence, Kelex spoke up, saying, "Kara, might I suggest finding a potential suitor outside of our native solar system? It is not uncommon for a Kryptonian to mate with another species." Kelex asks, which was true as Kryptonians have paired up with members of the Eternals and members of the Shi'ar race at one point or another.
The beautiful Kryptonian Queen thinks this over for a moment, before she was practically beaming at the idea and asking Kelex, "I like your idea, Kelex. You wouldn't happen to have any good suggestions on where to look for a potential mate, would you?"
The A.I. bot makes a nodding motion before saying, "Yes, my Queen. You could investigate the planet Terra, though it's also known by many names, such as Midgard or Earth. It is located in a neighboring galaxy close to ours. The planet also possesses many similarities to Krypton and It's own inhabitants."
The Kryptonian Queen nods happily at Kelex's suggestion. "Sounds promising Kelex. Anything else you want to tell me about Earth?"
"Earth is a flawed planet, my Queen. It is full of people and individuals who have done both great and awful things to further their own goals...but the planet has many beautiful landscapes and many pure-hearted individuals with amazing powers that use said abilities to protect their planet. There are even groups of heroes. Heroes that work together to protect the planet from great threats. They are called the Avengers." Kelex says as he describes Earth's good and bad qualities as well as the superhero team that protects the planet.
"Hmm...These...Avengers...Tell me everything you know about them, Kelex." Kara says, wanting information about the Avengers.
"First is Tony Stark, aka Iron Man. He is a gifted inventor, weapons designer, and a multi-billionaire...but also a well known womanizer." Kelex says with slight disgust at Tony being a ladies' man.
"Well, Tony will definitely not be my mate." Kara says with a sigh before adding, "Who's next?"
"Next is Steve Rogers, aka Captain America. A super soldier from the 19th century that was frozen in ice until he was discovered and thawed out some time in the 20th century. He is a gifted strategist, combat expert, and natural leader of the Avengers." Kelex said as he went through a dossier on Cap.
"Sounds interesting, but I need someone who's...passionate, and strong." Kara said as Kelex moved onto the next Avenger.
"Next up is Thor Odinson-" Kelex said, only for Kara to hold her hand up, prompting the A.I. to halt.
"Thor, the Asgardian? Ughhh. No way am I mating with him." Kara said with great disgust; Asgardians didn't exactly have the best of histories with Kryptonians, which led to the two races having a long, bloody history for centuries. "Just move onto the next one, please." Kara added, not wanting to dwell on Thor any longer.
"Yes, my Queen. Next up is Janet Van Dyne, aka The Wasp, and Hank Pym, aka Ant Man/Giant Man. They are both brilliant scientists that are expected with particle physics. They utilize Pym Particles, an energy from a 'pocket dimension' that enables them to shrink and grow as well as control most species of Earth insects." Kelex said, noticing that Kara didn't seem that interested in either Janet or Hank, so Kelex moved onto the next file, which was Black Panther's file. "King T'Challa, also known as the Black Panther, is the former King of Wakanda, a secret kingdom in Africa that has access to a mineral called Vibranium, which has been integrated into their society."
"Hmm...not really a 'secret' kingdom if you know about it. This man has potential. Anyone else that could be my potential suitor, Kelex?" The Kryptonian Queen asks.
"Yes, my Queen. Dr. Bruce Banner, though he's vastly more well known as The Hulk. Or just Hulk, as the creature prefers." Kelex stated before displaying archival footage of Hulk fighting monsters, aliens, giant robots, and various super villains alongside the other Avengers.
As Kara watches the footage, she can't help but feel an intense attraction towards Bruce and his beastly alter ego, Hulk. She had somehow become immediately infatuated with him, and she hasn't even met the man in person yet. Finally, she manages to gain restraint on herself and asks Kelex, "I want you to find every bit of information you can on this 'Bruce' guy."
Kelex nods as he begins to sift through his databases, slowly but surely getting bits and pieces of information on the human. A few minutes later, he looks at Kara and reports with, "Bruce Banner is currently unmarried, my Queen, and is residing in a city on Earth called, New York City. The rest of the Avengers appear to live within the same city."
Kara smiles upon hearing where Bruce is currently residing on Earth, now knowing finding him won't be hard. She looks at Kelex and says, "Kelex, contact Faora-UI. I have an important matter to discuss with her..." She says as a devious smirk appears on her face.
(Later)
Not long after Kelex makes a call to Faora-UI, the aforementioned Kryptonian General flies into Kara's throne room through a balcony window, bowing down at her Queen in a respective manner.
"My Queen." Faora-UI says kindly as she then looks at Kara. "I came as soon as Kelex said that you requested me. Why have you asked for my presence?" She asks Kara, unaware of why she was summoned to the throne room.
Kara smiles widely before saying to her, "I have done it. I think I have finally found the perfect mate for me. Kelex, show her the archival footage on Bruce Banner!" She calls out to Kelex, who then hovers in front of Faora-UI and projects the same footage of Bruce and Hulk, getting a gasp of shock from the Kryptonian General.
"M-My Queen, he is certainly a handsome individual, but...it seems odd to me that you would want a non-Kryptonian to be your mate, not to mention Krypton's new King." Faora-UI says in mild protest upon watching the footage.
"I do not care about that, Faora. I want him as my mate, and I do not care what anyone else here thinks about it." Kara says in a determined tone of voice. She seemed so sure that Bruce is the one for her.
Faora-UI sighs, not wanting to argue with her Queen/best friend, so she drops the arguing and says, "Very well. I still think it's an odd choice, but I understand and I will respect your decision."
Kara smiles at this and then says to Faora-UI, "Good. I also summoned you here because I want you to go to Earth and bring my future mate to me. Do not fail me." She said sternly, not accepting failure when it came to this.
"I will not fail you and It will be done, your Majesty." Faora says with a bow before leaving the throne room and departing from Krypton in a ship, its destination being Earth. As the ship departed. Kara stood up from her throne and walked over to a balcony, watching as Faora-UI flew off in her ship. Kara then glanced out at the city with a smile gracing her beautiful face; she couldn't wait to rule over Krypton with Bruce/Hulk at her side as her King and lover...
(Manhattan, New York: Avengers Mansion - Mid-Afternoon)
The Avengers, which now currently consists of Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, Carol Danvers/Ms. Marvel, Vision, Wasp, and Bruce/Hulk, are happily enjoying a day of relaxation after destroying a HYDRA base and then thwarting many villainous plans from the evil group in the past weeks; they earned and deserved this relaxing day.
As of this moment in time, Steve is sparring with Natasha in the gym while Tony working on an upgrade for one of his suits. Thor is away on Asgard, Ms. Marvel, Wanda, and Vision are doing their own things as well in the Avengers Mansion.
However, Janet is doing something worth noting. She was currently heading towards the living room, a bowl of popcorn in hand as a cute smile graced her face. She was wearing a dark grey sweatshirt and a pair of light blue sleeping pants, which made her look adorable.
She and Bruce had started watching a marathon of The Walking Dead, and were now on the premiere of Season Two, and the two heroes were having a very good time hanging out together. Plus, Janet wanted to take this opportunity to tell Bruce about her true feelings towards him and that will hopefully lead to them being more than just teammates and best friends, as she has had feelings for Bruce for quite a few years now, even if she was with Hank Pym when these feelings surfaced, but has kept her feelings for Bruce a complete secret. At least until now, anyway.
Janet walks into the living room, receiving a happy greeting from Bruce, who was sitting on a couch. As he greeted her, he smiled at Janet; his smile could easily warm her heart on any day. Janet adorably hops onto the couch before looking at the TV and asking Bruce, "Hey, what'd I miss?"
"Not much, really. It's just getting started." Bruce replied as he took a handful of popcorn from the bucket and ate it. They watched in silence as Rick and his group hid from a horde of zombies on the highway before Rick ran off and saved Sophia, then left the young girl by herself as he distracted a couple of zombies into following him, away from Sophia. As Bruce and Janet kept watching, the former gamma scientist shook his head at Rick's actions. "Okay, why did you do that, Rick? You don't just leave a child alone by herself!" Bruce asked, criticizing Rick for leaving Sophia by herself.
Janet chuckles at Bruce's complaint and says to him, "Hey, they were being chased by those ugly zombies. Besides, Rick couldn't defend himself and protect Sophia at the same time."
"Yeah, I know that, but still...I wouldn't leave a kid behind like that." Bruce firmly responded before looking at Janet and added, "I also wouldn't leave a...woman behind in that situation."
Janet smiles at what Bruce said before deciding that it was finally time for her to tell Bruce how she truly feels about him. She feels a great amount of nervousness in her body as she pauses the show and looks at Bruce. "Bruce, there's something I need to tell you."
Bruce looks at Janet, surprised that Janet suddenly had something to say. "Oh. Okay. What is it, Janet?" He asks as he keeps his eyes on Janet.
However, right as Janet is about to get the words out, she gets cold feet and stops herself and instead asks him, "Um, do you want a soda?"
The former gamma scientist gives Janet a confused look as he then says, "Um...Sure, I guess."
"Great! Alright, I'll go get us one!" Janet quickly says as she practically jumps up from the couch and hurries off to the kitchen, cursing to herself the whole way. "Stupid, cowardly Janet...! What is wrong with you? Just tell him...!" She mutters to herself in her mind. As she left the living room, Bruce watched her leave, still confused by Janet's eccentric behavior before shrugging it off and resuming The Walking Dead.
(The Sol System: Earth's Orbit)
Faora stares out of the window of her spaceship as it approaches Terra, or as the inhabitants prefer to call it, Earth, a look of determination on the Kryptonian's face. From where she was standing, Faora said in silence to herself, "It is quite a beautiful planet, but I did not come here to sightsee; I came on a mission."
After saying that, Faora's personal A.I. Cor-Le, suddenly spoke up and said, "I have located the target. Identity, Bruce Banner. Location, Manhattan, New York. He was quite easy to track; he seems to give off a strange radiation signature."
Faora's massive and bulky second in-command, Nam-Ek, stood next to the General with his arms crossed as a fierce look appeared on his face. "Should we begin our mission now?" He asked, not wanting to wait around anymore.
The Tigress of Krypton thinks things over for a moment before shaking her head in response and replies, "No. We'll go in during the time of night, keeping the other humans in the area unaware of our presence. That way, the mission will be fast, quiet, and there won't be any need for conflict, Nam-Ek."
"Is the Asgardian amongst them?" Nam-Ek inquired, practically itching for a fight so he could kill a certain hammer-wielding thunder god, who killed his father, Ron-Ek, during the Great Kryptonian-Asgardian War - a very long and bloody conflict over who could govern the Nine Realms that lasted for nearly 350,000 years. The Kryptonians had the slight advantage due to their physical strength, speed, and intelligence, but the Asgardians had magic on their side of which the Kryptonians were highly vulnerable to. Both sides exacted devastating damage to each other and had suffered tremendous losses until a peace treaty was finally agreed upon 30,000 years ago by Odin, King of Asgard and Queen Kara Zor-L to end the fighting for good.
"Our scans show that Thor isn't among them," Faora responded to Nam-Ek's question, before turning around and headed towards the armory. "We are here on a mission for our Queen, Nam-Ek. Save your personal grievances with the Asgardian for a later time." She added.
Nam-Ek reluctantly nods, watching Faora leave, before briefly glancing back at Terra and then heads to the armory as well.
(Present Day, Avengers Mansion: Nighttime)
Outside the mansion, Faora is ready to execute her plan, as she looks at Cor-Le and says, "Cor-Le, disable the power to their mansion. We don't need them aware of our presence and disable any countermeasure they might have as well."
"Yes, Miss Faora." Cor-Le replies before hacking into the mansion's power grid and shuts everything down, including various turrets and other weaponized systems that Tony Stark designed to keep out intruders, specifically supervillains. Faora and Nam-Ek then entered the dark mansion. Thankfully, all of the Avengers were asleep and unaware of their intruders.
"Okay. They don't know of our presence. Let's just find our target and get out of here." Faora whispers to Nam-Ek, who simply nods his head then immediately splits off from his general, feeling that they'll find Bruce much faster if they split up, though Faora was quick to whisper to him, "Hey. We are here for the one called Bruce Banner, not to seek revenge for your family's deaths."
"The thunderer killed my father, General. I will not stand for it anymore!" Nam-Ek growls as he walks off to find Thor. Faora sighs in annoyance before splitting off as well.
After this tense exchange had occurred, Wasp got out of bed and headed downstairs into the kitchen to get a glass of cool water. As she does this, she thinks to herself, "Ugh, there's gotta be another way of telling Bruce how I feel without looking like total idiot..." Clearly, she has not given up on her feelings towards Bruce and his super strong alter ego.
After finishing her refreshing water and putting the cup in the sink, Wasp turns around and looks up, noticing a huge, muscular figure in strange black armor, a weird symbol emblazoned on It's chestplate. It was Nam-Ek. Wasp gasps and turns around, but before she could do, say, or even muster a scream, Nam-Ek grabs Wasp by the mouth and whispers into her in a deep, dark tone of voice, "Silence, human. Just tell me where that blockheaded Thunder God is, and you get to keep your life."
(Bruce's Bedroom)
While Nam-Ek was busy interrogating Wasp, Faora snuck her way upstairs and opened one of the doors upstairs, which led to Bruce's room. Luckily, he was fast asleep. Faora grinned as she quietly entered the bedroom and looks down at Bruce's sleeping form, staring at the man with curiosity in her eyes as he slumbers. She thinks to herself, "He's quite handsome for a human." However, Faora immediately shakes those thoughts from her mind and sprays a white mist in Bruce's face, which will keep him unconscious for a bit longer.
(Kitchen)
Nam-Ek was still threatening Wasp, who decides to fight back by blasting him in the face with her stingers, but much to her surprise and shock, her attack barely fazes him. Annoyed by her attack, Nam-Ek growls and keeps his hand over Wasp's mouth, asking, "I'll ask you one more time...Where is Thor?" He asked with more anger, unaware that Thor was currently off world. "If you don't tell me, you can say goodbye to your jaw." He adds before gripping onto Wasp's lower jaw, intent on tearing it out if she doesn't start talking.
Luckily for Wasp, Faora comes downstairs, with Bruce flung over her shoulder, who then stops Nam-Ek from harming Wasp. "What is wrong with you, fool? Release the woman!" She yelled out with authority, which got Nam-Ek to release Wasp, albeit hesitantly. "You stupid fool! We are here for Banner, not for your troubling vendetta against the Asgardian! I gave you an order to only find Banner, but it seems that you're too much of a simpleton to follow your General's orders!"
Wasp breathes heavily with relief as she rubs her sore jaw before looking at Faora and Nam-Ek, who were arguing and noticing Bruce flung over the former's shoulder and angrily asks, "Who are you two, and what do you want with Bruce!?" Wasp angrily asked as her hands glow with bio-energy.
Faora responded by simply rolling her blue eyes, saying back at Wasp, "I don't have time for this." She then rather suddenly backhanded Wasp through the kitchen window, scattering it and landed into the backyard with restrained yet powerful force. It didn't kill Wasp, but it was enough to knock her out cold. After this, Faora, with Bruce still on her shoulder, and Nam-Ek fly out of the mansion and head for their ship. Wasp, struggled to recover from her unconsciousness, practically swimming in and out of it after Faora's punch.
"Ugh...that was like getting punched by Hulk..." Wasp groaned as she stands up on wobbly legs and glances upward, spotting the Kryptonian ship flying away at lightning-like speed, with Bruce onboard. Once the ship vanished, all Wasp could say was a whispered, "Bruce...". She then fell to the ground and passed out completely.

Chapter Text
(Manhattan, New York - Avengers Mansion: Early Morning)
The morning sun shines through Tony's bedroom window, the bright light beaming directly onto his face, causing him to let out a groan of annoyance and cover his face with a pillow to block the light. "Ugh, who turned on the sun?" He muttered tiredly as he slowly opened his eyes. The billionaire playboy tossed aside his pillow, then sat up in his bed and stretched his tired limbs a little, before getting up and headed downstairs to the kitchen for his usual morning coffee. "JARVIS, can you start the coffee maker, please?" Tony asked.
"Right away, sir." His A.I companion complied politely.
"Thank you." The armored avenger replied with a yawn as he stood in front of the kitchen counter.
"Sir, I would also like to inform you of strange activity that occurred in the mansion last night." JARVIS continued.
"Strange activity?" Tony asked, quirking an eyebrow. "What strange activity, JARVIS?"
"Well, sir, it would appear there was a blackout last night that shut everything down within the mansion." The A.I answered. "I've ran several scans through our systems, and it seems we were hacked by a skilled yet unknown entity."
The billionaire paused at that, "Was it another A.I?" Tony inquired, narrowing his eyes.
"I'm not sure, sir. Whatever or whoever hacked our systems last night, it was highly advanced; beyond what a human could create." JARVIS responded, sounding almost jealous that another A.I could best him at anything.
"JARVIS, I want you to keep me updated on anything else you find out about...whatever did this. Understand?" Tony said in a serious tone, before resuming his walk towards the kitchen.
"Will do, sir." The A.I said.
"Who could've hacked my home last?" The armored avenger wondered to himself. "Hopefully, it wasn't Doom or Baron Zemo with some kind of new alien tech."
Once Tony stepped into his kitchen, the billionaire was stunned when he seen that one of his kitchen windows were scattered. "What the hell happened here!?" He exclaimed at the damage. "I swear, if Hulk did this, I'll delete his Minecraft account."
Suddenly, Tony heard pained moans coming from the backyard and quickly headed outside to see who it was. The billionaire looked around, until he looked into the bushes and saw Wasp laying on the ground half-conscious with a bruise on her right cheek.
"Janet?" Tony said, feeling both confused and very concerned, before carefully picking her up in his arms and brought the shrinking woman back into the mansion, then he propped her up in a chair and started to gently wake her from her injured stupor. Groaning, Janet slowly opened her eyes and blinked a couple of times, before she registered Tony and her current surroundings.
"Janet, are you alright? What happened?" The billionaire asked, concerned about his fellow Avenger's well being.
"They took him!" Wasp exclaimed and went to leave, but her head still hurt, so she sat back down. "They kidnapped Bruce..."
"Who?" Tony asked, now on full alert at the idea that someone took his friend. "Who kidnapped Bruce?"
"Two people - a man and a woman, both of them were wearing really weird black armor, broke into the mansion last night and almost killed me, before kidnapping Bruce." The beautiful size-altering heroine explained, before looking at Tony with very worried eyes. "We have to find him. Now."
The billionaire nodded, "JARVIS, wake up Cap..." He said, in a serious tone as Janet began to recap everything that happened, leading up to Bruce's abduction.
(The Rao System: Faora's Ship)
"We'll be nearing home in under 10 minutes." Cor-Le informed. "Queen Kara will be awaiting our arrival."
"Thank you for the update, Cor-Le." Faora said, while gazing out into the beautiful sea of space as her ship passed by several stars, neighboring planets and a small pod of Acanti-Whales. The Tigress of Krypton could always find a sense of peace and comfort from doing this; it seemed to relax her at times too. "How is our guest doing?" She asked.
"Asleep and completely unaware, milady." Her A.I replied.
Faora nodded at that, before turning on her heels and headed towards the Medical Bay - where their guest was resting in order to check on him - while Nam-Ek stood off to the side, leaning against a wall with his arms crossed; brooding and still angry over not getting his revenge on Thor.
(Faora's Ship: Medical Bay)
The Medical Bay doors slid open as Faora stepped in, before closing down behind her. The Kryptonian General silently stared at Bruce's sleeping form on the examination table for a long minute, then approached him and looked at him with curiosity. There was something about this human that caught Faora's interest in such a short amount of time and she didn't quite understand what it was, but everytime she looked at him - her heart rate quickened and her cheeks turn a light shade of red...like right now as she watched him slumber.
The Tigress of Krypton shook her head; she shouldn't be feeling this way towards her best friend's potential mate as well as Krypton's possible King, but Faora couldn't help it. Admittedly, a part of her felt jealous that Kara had chosen this man before Faora could.
"Perhaps, Kara will allow me to have a little...fun with you one day." The General thought with a sly smirk, reaching out and softly brushed aside a few strands of brown hair from Bruce's face. "You are indeed handsome."
"We're now entering Krypton's orbit, milady." Cor-Le announced. Faora sighed longingly, before she headed off to meet Kara upon their arrival.
(Manhattan, New York - Avengers Mansion: Living Room)
"And after a brief scuffle, I was knocked out of the kitchen window and landed in the backyard...then I passed out soon after while they few away with Bruce. That's when Tony found me laying unconscious in the bushes." Steve, Wanda, Natasha, Clint, Carol, Vision and Tony were gathered in the living room as their teammate, Janet, had finished telling them of her encounter with the two intruders last night and their kidnapping of Bruce/Hulk.
"You didn't try fighting them?" Carol asked, narrowing her eyes at the shrinking heroine.
"I tried, Carol, but it didn't work." The shrinking woman explained, slightly irritated at the Kree-Human hybrid's tone and wasn't in the mood to argue right now. "They were too strong for me to fight by myself, otherwise Bruce would still be here." She added, slamming her fist on an armrest in frustration for not being able to save Bruce.
"Easy Janet." Steve said, placing his hand on Wasp's shoulder in an attempt to soothe her emotions and calm her down. He knows how really close Janet and Bruce are, so it's unsurprising to see her act this way. "Did either of the attackers say anything? Or why they were taking Bruce?"
The size-altering heroine took a deep, calming breath. "No...but one of them knew Thor and really wanted to kill him." She responded, faintly rubbing her lower jaw. "He almost tore my head off if I didn't tell him where Thor was."
The heroes began thinking of any recent enemies that could have a vendetta against Bruce or them. "Maybe Enchantress sent a couple of rogue Asgardians to capture Bruce in order to use him against us like last time." Tony suggested.
"But Janet said that their armor didn't match that of an Asgardian." Natasha pointed out, before glancing at the size-altering heroine and asked. "Did any of them look like a gamma mutant? Perhaps, Samuel Sterns sent some of his spies to take Bruce."
Janet shook at that, "I doubt it, they looked human for the most part." She replied, when suddenly there was a loud boom and a flash of light out in the foyer of the mansion. "Friends, Thor has arrived!" The Thunderer announced joyfully, unaware of Bruce's capture.
Thor walked into the living room and saw that his friends were already gathered. He smiled and was going to greet them, but his smile fell when he sensed something wasn't right. "My friends, what has happened? Where is Banner?" He asked, looking around for his friend and fellow Avenger.
His friends looked at each other, before Wasp spoke up. "Thor...Bruce was taken." She said in a sad tone of voice.
"What? How? And by whom?" Thor asked, alarmed.
The beautiful size-altering heroine explained what happened and needless to say, the Thunderer was shocked as well, but one detail of the story caught his attention. "These intruders...did they have a symbol on their armor?" He asked, in a serious tone.
Confused, Janet nodded and said, "Yeah, it looked like a combination of a wave, a bird and an 'F' inside of a diamond." She answered. The shrinking woman pulled out a piece of paper that she drawn the symbol on - in order to remember it - and showed it to Thor.
The Thunder God's eyes went wide upon looking at the symbol, before his entire body started blazing with fury. "Kryptonians!" He snarled. The other heroes were taken aback by Thor's anger. They always thought Hulk was the only Avenger to have a temper.
"Do you...know that symbol, Thor?" Steve asked.
"Aye, I do." The Thunderer said, feeling arcs of lighting course through his body.
"What's a Kryptonian?" Tony asked, just as confused as the rest of his friends.
Thor takes a deep breath to calm his anger, before speaking. "Kryptonians are a race of people with godly power...and have very few weaknesses, I'm afraid. They are apart of the Kryptonian Empire and come from the planet, Krypton. As for how I know of them, Asgard and Krypton had been in a long and bloody war that lasted for thousands of years to decide on who could hold sway over the Nine Realms, before my father, Odin, and Krypton's admittedly beautiful Queen came to a peaceful resolution not long ago."
"Then what does that symbol mean?" Wasp asked.
"It is a symbol of the House of Ul, or more specifically - Faora." Thor answered, his grip on Mjölnir tightening.
"Who's Faora?" Janet asked, wanting every detail on Kryptonians as possible. "And why would she kidnap Bruce?" She added.
"She is the leader of Krypton's military - whose skills and fierceness in battle could rival my friend, Lady Sif, the Goddess of War." The Thunder God tells her, earning a few wary looks from his friends. "Faora had killed many Asgardians during our war with Krypton." He added, while sorrowfully thinking of those deceased Asgardians; many of which were his closest friends. "As for why she took Banner, I sadly do not know."
After Thor was finished his explanation, Wasp stood up. "Well, what are we waiting for?" She said and started heading to her room for her gear. "Let's go save Bruce."
Steve stops Wasp and tells her, "Janet, I want to save Bruce as much as you do, but we need to stop and come up with a plan before going to Krypton."
However, Wasp yells at him, saying, "Steve, Bruce needs our help now and who knows what those alien freaks are doing to him! I'm not sitting around for even a microsecond!"
The supersoldier tells Janet, "Janet, look. I understand why you want to help, but if what Thor said about the Kryptonians and their abilities is true, then we'll need a lot more help to rescue Bruce since we don't have Hulk to back us up."
Wasp counters Steve's words and says, "Fine...then I'll go alone if I have to."
Thor walks over and tells her, "Friend Janet, you won't be alone, because I am offering my assistance; I want to save Bruce and get some payback on a few Kryptonians." As Thor said this, Carol, Natasha, Clint, Wanda and Vision join in as well.
Steve and Tony glance at each other, before the supersoldier looks back at the team with a determined expression. "Avengers...Let's get ready..."

Bruce slowly opened his eyes and blinked a couple of times, then let out a yawn and a groan as he then stretched his tired limbs. "Huh, since when did my bed become so comfortable?" He thought to himself before sitting up and realized it wasn't his bed at all, or even his room for that matter.
The room looked like something out of 'The Jetsons', but its whole interior was metallic and lightish gray in color. "This...isn't my room." Bruce said aloud in confusion. Bruce glanced across the room and noticed a large oval-shaped window, prompting him to get up off the bed and walked towards it. "I swear if this is some kind of prank by Tony or Clint, I'll smash them into next week." He muttered, annoyed as he looked through the window.
Once Bruce looked out of the weird window, he couldn't believe his own eyes. Before him was a fancy city beyond any words; it seemed so advanced and futuristic that it couldn't be physically possible, especially not on Earth, given its limited resources compared to other planets. The buildings and structures were built in a way that give the city a beautiful shine to it, like Thor's realm of Asgard, but less magical and more scientific. What stood out the most to Bruce, though, was that people were causally flying around, but not through the use of jetpacks or any kind of propulsion equipment.
The former gamma scientist quickly rubbed his eyes to make sure that he wasn't imagining things, before looking again and he realized that it was in fact, real. "Alright...it's definitely not a prank." Bruce said, shocked and surprised by what he was seeing. "What...is this place?" He wondered.
"Greetings, Dr. Banner." A synthetic voice suddenly spoke up.
Startled, Bruce spun around and found himself face to face with a strange looking robot. "W-Who are you? And where am I?" He demanded, getting into a fighting stance, like how Steve and Natasha taught him during training sessions.
"I apologize if I may have startled you, Bruce. I am Kelex, service android of the Royal House of El." Kelex introduced himself. "And as for where you are, you're in Kandor, the capitol city of Krypton." He added.
Bruce took a deep breath and relaxed his guard after hearing that, but only a little, and asked, "Okay...then why am I here?"
"Kara Zor-L, our beautiful and loving queen, has taken quite an...invested interest in you, Dr. Banner." Kelex answered.
"Why would your...queen take an interest in me?" Bruce asked, narrowing his eyes slightly at Kelex.
"I apologize, but only her Majesty can answer that." The service android replied before adding, "Follow me, Dr. Banner, Kara has requested to meet you." Kelex says, before hovering towards the door and patiently waited for Bruce.
The former gamma scientist was hesitant at first, but since he had no way of escaping, he decided to follow Kelex and meet their 'queen', if only to get back home. The doors slid open and Bruce walked out into a hallway with Kelex hovering a few feet ahead of him, leading the way. "So...what is your 'queen' like?" Bruce asked, curiously.
"She is a kind, intelligent and an absolutely beautiful woman unlike any other." The service android responded, honestly. "Kara leads the Kryptonian Empire and rules over a vast expanse of the galaxy within this region of the universe."
"Kryptonian? Is that the race of people who live here?" Bruce asked, glancing off to the side and saw what appeared to be a courtyard, where a group of people were standing in formation and listening to a single person standing at the front. A woman. Each of the other people were wearing solid black armor of various designs, although, Bruce could easily tell who was male and female. The speaker in particular was wearing a similar suit of armor as well, but had a long black cape trailing behind her.
"Yes, Krypton is the birth world of Kryptonians." Kelex answered. "They resemble humans on your birth planet of Earth, but are very different."
"Different? How?" Bruce asked.
"When under a yellow or blue star, Kryptonians are gifted abilities such as tremendous strength, near-invulnerability, flight, speed and extremely heightened senses." The service android replied, listing off a few common Kryptonian traits. "Our queen, Kara Zor-L, is the strongest member of the Kryptonian race."
Bruce raised an eyebrow at that bit of information as he continued following Kelex towards where Kara was currently at, thinking to himself, "If what this thing says is true, then Hulk and I will have some trouble trying to get off this planet if we come to blows." He thought, before glancing back out into the courtyard again. "They must be soldiers and that must be their commander talking to them at the front." He noted.
Their commander finished her speech and dismissed the group with a simple hand gesture. Once the soldiers were gone, the commander glanced up and spotted Bruce, causing him to pause in his steps as he looked right back at her.
The unknown woman was, to simply put it, beautiful with striking blue eyes, short dark brown hair and fierce yet stunning facial features, like she was prepped and ready for a battle anytime. Her figure, although it covered in armor, easily rivaled Natasha or Janet's. Both Bruce and the mystery woman stared at one another for several seconds, though, it seemed like forever and a connection was forming within them, untill the woman had suddenly turned away and walked off to head elsewhere.
The former Gamma Scientist shook his head in confusion before catching up to Kelex.
(Krypton: The Hall of El - Kandor)
Bruce and Kelex then arrived at two large double doors - where two men, who wore silver armor and both were wielding spears tipped with glowing red blades stood guard on each side of the entrance.
The former gamma scientist stared at the door, a little wary and anxious, wondering if this queen was as kind and smart as Kelex made her out to be. "What's that symbol on the door mean, Kelex?" Bruce curiously asked, taking note of a strangely designed 'S' within a diamond shape engraved on the door.
"It is the family symbol of the great House of El." Kelex answered. "Here on Krypton, it stands for 'Hope'." The service android politely added, then turned towards the guards and said to them, "We have arrived as per her majesty's request. Please let us pass."
The Sapphire Guards nodded at Kelex, before stepping aside and allowed Bruce and Kelex to enter into the Throne Room.
(Krypton: The Throne Room of Queen Kara Zor-L - Kandor)
Once Bruce entered into the Throne Room, his breath got caught in his throat and was taken aback by a person sitting upon a throne with a very large white wolf laying at the base of it. The person was a woman - an extremely beautiful, gorgeous woman with bright blue eyes and short blonde hair along with a gleaming gold crown adorning her beautiful head. She wore a gorgeous forest-green dress that had gold trimming with a complementary chest window that showed off her rather humongous cleavage. It seemed she had no shame in making it easy for people to see her amazing breasts.
"Greetings, Dr. Banner." The Kryptonian Queen said, welcoming Bruce with a kind smile that seemed to make the rest of her shine, like a star. "Or do you prefer...Bruce?" She asked, a hint of flirtation in her question.
The former gamma scientist shook off his staring and struggled to find the right words, saying to the sexy Kryptonian Queen, "Uhh...B-Bruce is fine, your Majesty." He replied, slightly stuttered.
Queen Kara giggles at his nervous yet quite adorable response, before standing up and started to slowly approach Bruce, who took a brief moment to gaze at her goddess-like body.
The Kryptonian Queen possessed quite a striking and alluring figure that Bruce had never seen before. Kara stood at least 6'2" with a grand frame and perky disposition. She was curvaceous, well-muscled and busty as hell; she could certainly charm anybody in one way or another; although, it may be due to her enormous breasts and exposing chest window that showed off her cleavage so nicely. The way they just seemed to thrust out from her chest, all majestic and glorious, that Bruce really couldn't help but stare in wonder and awe at them. All and all, Queen Kara Zor-L was the epitome of female perfection and sexuality.
"Very pretty lady." Hulk rumbled from within their shared mind, complimenting Kara's stunning body.
"Yes, she is..." Bruce responded to that, stunned by the unrivaled beauty of the Kryptonian Queen. It seems that Bruce had finally met a woman that was even sexier than Natasha, which until now...he thought was impossible.
Unbeknownst to Bruce, Kara was smirking inwardly at his stunned reaction towards her perfect form. "Looks like I have him right where I want him." She thought joyously to herself as she looked at her new mate. "In that case, Bruce, I formally welcome you to Krypton." Kara said, still keeping her smile and giving Bruce a small bow. "I know this might be confusing to you, Bruce, but know my intentions of bringing you here are good."
"Well, why was I brought here to begin with?" He curiously asked, that question having been on his mind all morning ever since he woke up on this strange planet.
"I'll tell you everything...in due time, Bruce." Kara replied. "But first, I must give you a tour of my homeworld." She said, before walking in another direction and waved for Bruce to follow her. "Come. Krypto and I will show you around." Upon hearing his name, Krypto stood up from his spot, stretched his tired muscles and quickly followed his owner.
Bruce immediately strolled after them as something occurred in his mind. "Maybe being here won't be too bad." He thought with a small smile, still thinking about how sexy Kara looked when he first laid eyes on her.

Chapter Text
(Krypton: The City of Kandor)
Upon leaving the palace, Bruce followed Queen Kara, along with her dog, Krypto, through the streets of Kandor, but opted to stay several steps behind them just in case he needed to make a quick break for it and escape. "You don't have to keep your guard up around me, Bruce." Kara said, glancing at him briefly. "You're perfectly safe here in Kandor."
"Sorry, your Majesty, It's just a force of habit from being on my own for so long." The former Gamma Scientist replied, thinking back to some of his memories on the road and helping people in need across the world. "Plus, being on another planet far away from home for an unknown reason doesn't help either."
"Understandable." The Kryptonian Queen nodded. "If I were in your shoes, I'd feel the same way, but I can assure you, Bruce, nobody will try to harm you on Krypton." She said with a warm smile.
Bruce looked Kara directly in the eyes, trying to see if she was lying, but she didn't seem to be and a part of him believed her. Maybe, it was Kara's beautiful face and bright blue eyes that was making it so easy to trust her.
"I'll...hold you to that, I guess." The former Gamma Scientist said, walking a little closer to the Kryptonian Queen and Krypto, who was too busy being an overgrown puppy and trying play with everyone that he saw. Queen Kara giggled lightly at Bruce's response, before they continued their tour.
"Sooo...how long have you been queen?" Bruce asked, trying to make conversation.
"I've been ruling Krypton and my empire for almost 30 years, but it would be the equivalent of 30,000 years on your home planet of Earth." Kara explained.
"30,000 years!?" The former Gamma Scientist exclaimed, completely shocked. "You're 30,000 years old!?" He asked.
"Actually, I'm 29,000 years old, but it doesn't matter as time holds no sway over a Kryptonian." The Kryptonian Queen replied with a wink.
Bruce was stunned by that, softly asking himself, "If Kara looks this gorgeous at 29,000 years old, what would she look like in 40 or 70,000 years from now?..."
The former Gamma Scientist quickly pushed those thoughts aside and glanced around, marveling at the some of the beautiful architecture of Kandor's buildings, it looked as though they were polished to the point that each building had a light glow to it and not a speck of dirt on them. The air was also much cleaner and had not a trace of pollution in it, unlike some cities back on Earth.
"The plants here are beautiful." Bruce said, when they passed through an area that looked somewhat like a park and seeing how green and colorful Krypton's native plants were.
"Thank you, Bruce." Kara said with another warm smile at the former Gamma Scientist that made him feel more at ease. "They're some of the most beautiful plants on this side of the galaxy."
The Kryptonian Queen spotted a particular plant hidden within the bushes, she walked over to it and gently plucked it out, before walking back over to Bruce. "This Oregus Plant is a symbol of Krypton's strength, honor, achievements, wisdom, perseverance and so many other titles." Kara explained as she handed it to the former Gamma Scientist, who accepted it. "According to our holy scripture, a tear drop from Rao, our Sun God, had brought these plants into existence."
"Why are you telling me this, your Majesty?" Bruce inquired, looking down at the plant in his hand which looked similar to an orchid on Earth.
"Because I can tell by your eyes that you have been through so much in your life...and yet, you prevailed against all of those odds, be it with your strength...or with your mind." Kara replied in a serious and yet wise tone. "Plus, they make for a good snack if you're feeling hungry." She added, taking a leaf from the Oregus and eating it.
The former Gamma Scientist chuckled as he took a leaf and ate one as well, it didn't taste half bad; kind of like a very bland potato chip.
They continued on as a few people had stopped to either wave at or politely bow towards Queen Kara, who returned it back in kind. Most of them didn't pay Bruce any mind, but they did look at him curiously before going about their day again. A small group of children, who were playing in a nearby grassy field had spotted Kara, Bruce and Krypto, before they excitedly flew over to them and tackled the Kryptonian Queen to the ground into a group hug.
Stopping their tour momentarily, Bruce watched curiously as Kara laughed warmly at the kids and pulled them into a embrace. "Queen Kara, can you play with us?" One little girl asked adorably.
"Maybe later, sweetheart, I'm showing my new friend around." Kara said, nodding her head towards Bruce, who was standing by Krypto awkwardly. "However, Krypto will play with you." She glances at her loyal companion and then whistles at Krypto, who barks happily and starts play chasing the children.
The children let out excited screams and ran away as Krypto tried pouncing onto one of them, but he missed his intended target and switched to chase after another kid as they ran in all directions.
"You have a way with kids." Bruce told Kara, watching the children running around and playing with Krypto.
The Kryptonian Queen laughed lightly at that as she stood up, dusted off her dress and fixed her crown. "They're the future of Krypton." She said, gesturing to the kids with a fond smile. "Future scientists, future scholars, future teachers and future philosophers, their potential is limitless. Without them, Krypton is nothing but just a floating rock in the void, It's the people that make Krypton what it is. Now, tomorrow...and forever."
"That's very wise of you, your Majesty." The former Gamma Scientist said, smiling at Queen Kara, who wasn't just stunningly beautiful and strong, but wise and intelligent as well. Unbeknownst to Bruce, his connection to the Kryptonian Queen was growing stronger by the minute.
Kara smiled back, "Thank you, once again, Bruce." She waved for him to follow her. "Come, this tour isn't over yet." Bruce readily obliged and followed her, curious to see what Kara had in store.
(Manhattan, New York: Avengers Mansion - The Combat Room)
Back on Earth, Janet was currently sharping her powers and combat skills on some of Tony's battle drones. After discussing a plan of rescuing Bruce/Hulk, each of the Avengers set out to get themselves ready for a fight. Once Thor given them a brief rundown on Kryptonians and their abilities, Janet decided to train herself as much as she possibly could in order to fight them, Tony even upgraded her stingers to pack more of a punch then they usually do.
Janet flew around the Combat Room and blasted several battle drones into scrap metal, she then grew into an immense size and crushed a few more drones under her fists or stomped on them till they were nothing but tiny fragments, before she finally relented and shrunk down to normal size. The shrinking heroine was breathing heavily from the exertion, both of her hands were burning from the intense energy usage on the drones.
"Those alien freaks are going to regret taking Bruce..." Janet snarled, her anger over not being able to save her friend was palpable, It was all she could think about, so much so, it was starting to concern her teammates. "I really hope Bruce woke up in time and Hulked-out on those Kryptonians before escaping." She smirked at the thought, but it quickly changed to worry. "I really hope so..."
Judging by how Thor described their abilities, Kryptonians seem to be an unstoppable force. Hulk-level strength, heat vision, super senses, super speed, durability much greater than an Asgardian and many other powers, which made Janet even more worried for Bruce/Hulk. He might be able to take out two or even three Kryptonians, but an entire army of them would be a different story.
"Feel any better?" A soft, feminine voice asked Wasp.
The shrinking woman looked over at the entrance of the Combat Room and saw her fellow teammate/friend, Black Widow. Natasha was looking at Janet with concern, just like everyone else on the team, it was starting to get on her nerves.
Janet shook her head, then said with a sigh, "No, Nat, I'm not feeling any better." She replied, sarcastically. "How long have you been standing there?"
"Long enough." The former SHIELD spy stated. "It's Impressive, really. I didn't think anyone - besides Hulk or Thor - could express that kind of rage." She said, before she approached her friend and placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. "Maybe, you should stop and take a break for an hour, Janet, you haven't ate or drank much of anything for nearly 3 days."
"I can't, Nat, not while Bruce needs our help." Janet countered, shrugging Natasha's hand off; hopping that would be a signal for her friend to leave her alone. "JARVIS, restart the Combat Simulation." She commanded, leaving no room for an argument, before getting ready for another round.
"Will do, Ms. Dyne." JARVIS responded.
"You're not going to do Bruce any good, if you die of hunger before we even get there." Natasha said, narrowing her blue eyes at the shrinking heroine, but Janet didn't seem to hear nor care at the moment as she flew around and started blasting away at drones once more.
The former SHIELD spy sighed, annoyed, before she turned and left the Combat Room, but briefly paused in her step and glanced back at her friend. "I know why you want to save Bruce, Jan, I have those same feelings too..." She muttered quietly to herself and headed off, her hips swaying with each step.
(Krypton: The City of Kandor)
Meanwhile on Krypton, Kara was still giving Bruce a grand tour of Kandor and showing him a few of its most magnificent places, including a couple of its museums, science centers, schools, restaurants with food that the former Gamma Scientist had found absolutely delicious after they stopped for a quick break, and so much more.
With each passing moment on their tour, Bruce was finding more and more things to be interested in Kara. Not only was she an incredibly beautiful woman with a body that would put most women and even a few goddesses to shame, but she was also very smart and wise as well. Deep down, he can feel himself connecting with her, which was insane, since they had met only a few hours ago.
They took a route through a park-like area, Bruce was glancing around at the gorgeous forest, before he spotted a row of statues standing in a circular pattern with a fountain sitting in the middle of them. "What's that place, your majesty?" The former Gamma Scientist asked Kara, pointing at the area.
The Kryptonian Queen looked towards the place that Bruce pointed out. "That is the Circle of the Gods, Bruce." She answered with a smile. "Want to take a look?" She asked, glancing at him.
The former Gamma Scientist nodded at her and the pair walked over to the statues. Once the two reached the area, Bruce walked around and looked at each statue with interest. One of the statues in particular was gold in color and appeared to be male with a bald head, it also had six faces on each side of his head, which the former Gamma Scientist found quite odd, to say the least.
"That's Telle, Kryptonian God of Wisdom." Kara explained.
"Why...does he have six faces?" Bruce asked, confused, as anyone not familiar with Krypton would be.
"Besides Wisdom, Telle was also the God of Foresight; being able to see into the past, present, possible futures and much more. His six faces are a representation of that." The Kryptonian Queen answered, before she pointed at another statue next to it, which was of a woman wearing an outfit similar to that of the Kryptonian Queen. "This one is Kara, Kryptonian Goddess of Beauty, of Fertility, of Marriage, of Animals and of Plants."
"Kara...? Were you named after her?" The former Gamma Scientist asked, glancing at the beautiful Kryptonian.
Kara smirked at Bruce. "Hehe! Was it really that obvious?" She said with a soft giggle, which earned a warm chuckle from her soon-to-be husband.
The Kryptonian Queen continued on by sharing interesting facts about each of the Kryptonian Gods with Bruce such as Lorra, Goddess of War, Yuda, God of the Night, Aethyr, God of the Phantom Zone, Mordo, God of Strength and a couple of others, before they finally settled on the last two Kryptonian Gods.
"This Goddess..." Kara began, gesturing to the statue. "Is Cythonna, Kryptonian Goddess of Ice, of the Cold, of Monsters, of the Darkness and of Death."
"I'm guessing from those titles, she wasn't well liked by the other Gods in the pantheon?" Bruce asked, looking at the statue of Cythonna. The Ice Goddess didn't wear a full set of armor, unlike the other deities, but more like an armored corset. She also had longer hair as well as possessing a beauty and a figure that can easily rival Kara's. One thing that stood out about Cythonna was her eyes, they were totally blank, where as the other deities had irises in the eyes of their statues.
"You would be right, Bruce." The Kryptonian Queen said with a nod and smile. "You see, as the story goes: The first Gods walked in the early light among the green hills of Krypton in the beginning of time. The Gods and Goddesses of Dawn reigned over a world in harmony and they sired the first lineages of Krypton to worship them and lived in peace, but harmony was not always the way of life, even amongst the gods and out of the frozen blackness beyond the furthest reaches of the light came an evil entity. Cythonna was as lovely as the hoar-frost in the vale, but her heart was cold and her hate was deep for all that was warm and light. With her, Cythonna bought fear, cold, despair, and finally death onto the world; her curse to the radiant warmth of the living." Kara paused for a brief moment to make sure that Bruce was listening intently. "When first she appeared, Cythonna was a marvelous sight of beauty and immense power, she sought an audience with Rao-"
"Rao?" The former Gamma Scientist asked, confused by the name.
"He's chief amongst all of the other deities and the most powerful one of them all. According to my family, we are Rao's direct descendants." The Kryptonian Queen explained nonchalantly with a shrug.
Bruce raised an eyebrow at that. "Sounds like you don't believe it?"
"I've been told that story multiple times from when I was just a baby, a teenager and even now as an adult. After a while, you would have a hard time believing it too." Kara said, rolling her blue eyes at all of the times her great-grandparents had told her the tale and continued on with her story. "Anyways, Cythonna sought an audience with Rao and, once he arrived, she quickly declared her love for him and desired him to be her mate."
"That fast?" Bruce said, bewildered at how quick Cythonna was infatuated with Rao. "You'd think she would have asked him out on a date first." He added/joked.
The Kryptonian Queen giggled lightly at Bruce's joke, before she shakes her head and says. "Cythonna may have been evil, but even someone with darkness in their heart can have desires and her primary desire was to have a child."
"She wanted a kid?" Bruce asked.
Kara nodded. "Yes. Cythonna, for all of her cruelty and hate, only desired a perfect child for herself to love and care for, but she could only birth hideous monsters. The Ice Goddess felt that Rao becoming her mate would've changed that, but the Sun God saw right through her, so he rejected her advances."
"That didn't go over well, did it?" The former Gamma Scientist asked.
The beautiful Kryptonian shook her head. "No, it didn't. Enraged, Cythonna started a war against Rao and his fellow deities with her monstrous children. Their war waged on for eons, until Cythonna was finally defeated and banished to the farthest reaches of the universe, never to be seen again."
"Quite an interesting story, Your Majesty." Bruce said, smiling at the Queen. He looked at the last statue, which was of a stoic man, who was wearing a unique set of armor and a flowing cape with the symbol of El on his chest. "This one must be Rao?" He asked, gesturing to the statue.
"Correct." Kara said, walking over to the former Gamma Scientist and stood in front of the statue of her ancestor, supposedly. "Rao, God of the Sun."
Bruce looked in-between Rao and Queen Kara, noticing a few similarities between the two of them. "Y'know, your family might be right, you and Rao do look alike."
The Kryptonian Queen looked at the statue of Rao for a moment, before she shrugged. "I still don't see it."
Bruce chuckled at that, but he noticed another larger statue that stood by itself a short distance away. "What's that statue, your majesty?" He asked, nodding in the direction of it.
The beautiful Kryptonian glanced in the direction of the statue that Bruce had pointed out. Once she spotted it, Kara's eyes went wide and slowly she started to hyperventilate. "Your Majesty, are you alright?" The former Gamma Scientist asked, confused and concerned by her reaction.
Kara didn't seem to hear nor respond to him, just kept staring off at the statue in the distance and her breathing began to worsen. Feeling more concerned, Bruce reached out and gently touched her shoulder. "Kara?" He spoke, softly.
The Kryptonian Queen snapped out of whatever state her mind was in and shook her head. "I'm sorry, Bruce, did you say something?" Kara asked, deeply hoping he won't ask why she zoned out.
The former Gamma Scientist was going to repeat his previous question, when Kara's servant android, Kelex, suddenly appeared. "Apologies for interrupting your tour of Kandor, Dr. Banner, but the Council urgently requires Queen Kara's presence."
Letting out an annoyed sigh, Kara glanced at Bruce apologetically. "Do you mind waiting here for a few minutes, Bruce?"
"...I guess." The former Gamma Scientist said, totally unsure, as Kara flew off with Kelex and headed elsewhere for a moment.
Bruce watched her leave, before looking towards the statue that caused the Kryptonian Queen to almost freak out and decided to investigate it for himself.
(A few minutes later)
After a short walk, Bruce came upon the statue and to say it was an interesting sight would be an understatement. The statue was solid black in color, compared to the other ones and It depicted two figures battling it out in a test of strength with each other, one figure was a hulking creature with spikes protruding over most its body and the other figure was a woman grappling with the creature.
"That woman looks a lot like Kara." The former Gamma Scientist thought, looking at the woman grappling with the mystery creature. Bruce noticed a plaque at the bottom of the statue, he bent down to try and read it, but it was in a language that he didn't understand.
"Enjoying your tour?" A soft female voice asked from behind.
The former Gamma Scientist turned around, somewhat startled, and was greeted by another beautiful woman, wearing black armor and a matching cape with her hands clasped behind her back. It took Bruce a few seconds to realize that it was the same armored woman from earlier.
"I've been enjoying it so far." He responded, although, he was still unsure about this whole situation and kept his guard up. "Nobody hasn't tried to attack me yet, so I'd say it's been pleasant."
"I'm glad to hear that." Faora replied with a small smile, she held her hand out to Bruce. "Forgive my manners, Dr. Banner, but I am Faora-UI, General of Krypton's military."
The former Gamma Scientist shook her hand. "It's nice to meet you, Faora-UI, I'm Bruce Banner." He greeted her back with a smile of his own.
When their hands touched, Bruce felt an instant connection to Faora deep within, just like he did with Kara. It was weird at first, but it felt very...right. The Tigress of Krypton felt it as well, but she kept herself composed as usual. "That was a day Krypton won't ever forget." Faora stated, glancing up at the statue; hoping to focus on something else then the man standing in front of her.
"What happened?" Bruce asked, interested in the story as well as why the Kryptonian Queen had almost freaked out about it. "I asked Kara about it, but she had a small panic attack and left before she could tell me."
"I don't blame her, it was a traumatic time for everyone, especially for our Queen." Faora said in a sad tone, while thinking back to that dreadful day. "We Kryptonians don't like to bring it up, but since you are new here, Dr. Banner, I will tell you..." The General of Krypton paused for a moment to make sure that she had Bruce's full attention; she wasn't going to repeat herself. "Around 3,500 years ago, a scientist named, Dr. Baron Bertron, was caught for illegal experimentations on Kryptonian infants, but when the authorities went to arrest him, Bertron wouldn't come without a fight, so he unleashed his ultimate weapon. An extremely powerful creature called...Doomsday."
"Doomsday?" Bruce asked, confused by the name.
"It's what we called it, because wherever that monster went, it was like armageddon had arrived." Faora briefly explained, before she continued on. "The monster nearly destroyed all of Krypton and killed thousands of people during it's rampage. We tried anything to stop that creature, but nothing worked. Many of our bravest warriors had fallen trying to fight Doomsday." The Tigress of Krypton paused for a moment to wipe away a few tears that were shed for her fellow soldiers. "And I would've joined them to, if it hadn't been for Kara, who intervened on my behalf; she was the only one that could match the monster's brute strength. The Queen fought Doomsday with everything she had, it was a titanic battle that shaped Krypton into what it is today. After a long and hard fight, Kara finally killed the beast, but at the cost of her own life-"
"Kara died?!" Bruce exclaimed, shocked by that revelation.
"Kara was pronounced clinically dead on scene." Faora quickly stated, after she seen how Bruce reacted in concern for her close friend. "But in reality, her fight with Doomsday had taken such a toll on her body that it caused it to shut down and enter a healing coma, she didn't wake up until 500 years later. When Kara woke up, she was fully healed and more powerful than ever, but her mental wounds..."
"Still need some healing." The former Gamma Scientist finished, now finally understanding Kara's reaction towards the statue, she has PTSD.
"Yes." Faora nodded. "The Queen doesn't like to talk about it, unless she brings it up herself. Mentally, she's better now than she was many years ago, but Kara still has a few moments of relapse when she thinks back on that day." The Tigress of Krypton looked up at the statue with a frown. "Doesn't help that this statue is a constant reminder."
"Why doesn't Kara have it taken down?"
"Because the Council of Krypton had it created in order to honor those lost that day...and Queen Kara let it be." Faora answered, whilst rolling her eyes. "Though, If you ask me, I believe the Council did it to save face, because they knew what that lunatic Bertron was doing in secret, but they chose not to do anything, until a Council member's infant grandson had gone missing."
Bruce felt his anger beginning to raise after hearing all of that, especially for all that Kara had went through from fighting Doomsday, ending up in a coma, only to wake up 500 years later and see a constant reminder sitting in a park not far from her home.
"The Council of Krypton better hope that we don't meet in person, otherwise...it won't end well for them." The former Gamma Scientist thought, angrily. He really wanted to pummel those jerks into paste.
"Hulk agrees." The Green Behemoth growls from within their shared mind.
Faora noticed Bruce's apparent anger, but before she could question if he was alright, Kara and her android, Kelex, had returned, catching both of their attentions.
"Faora, we have a problem!" The Kryptonian Queen said, urgently.
"What is it, your majesty?" The Tigress of Krypton automatically stood ready for whatever her friend ordered. Bruce stood ready as well.
"Mongul, along with his Warworld, are attacking Almerac and Maxima requires some backup." Kara replied.
"Maxima needs backup?" Faora questioned, suspiciously. "Usually, she can handle threats like Mongul by herself. What changed?"
"I don't know, but she needs help and the Council doesn't want Krypton to lose an important ally." Kara said, suspicious of Maxima's motives herself, but decided to table it for later, because right now Mongul was the threat.
"I can help." Bruce spoke up, catching Kara and Faora"s attention. "If this Mongul guy is threatening innocent people somewhere, Hulk and I will help."
"Are you sure, Bruce?" The beautiful Kryptonian asked, concerned for her soon-to-be husband's well-being. "Mongul is a being not to be toyed with."
The former Gamma Scientist smirked at that, before he took off his shirt, unintentionally showing off his slim, muscular frame, which caused Kara and Faora to blush red as he slowly transformed into Hulk; surprising both of the women.
"Hulk smash, Mongul!" The Gamma Giant said, cracking his knuckles with a dark smirk.
Both women were silent for a few moments, staring at Hulk in awe, before Faora finally spoke up. "Let's go."
