Chapter Text
They didn't talk after that because the event After the event, Moon Young had to cancel the after-party saying she's not in the mood. Gang Tae explained everything to Sang In and he understands. They let the two go home after the event.
Moon Young didn't talked the whole trip, she just rests her head on the window. She could feel Gang Tae's worry and could see how he looks at her from time to time but she doesn't say anything.
She woke up in her bed with a wet towel on her forehead. She could also feel his arm in her waist, she looks to the side and saw Gang Tae sleeping as well. She sigh, carefully removed his hands, decided to grab a wine even tho she has a massive headache.
What happened earlier made her feel guilty. She could remembered the time in the cursed castle she said to Gang Tae that that woman is still her mother after all.
"What kind of daughter would do that to her own mother?"
"I don't have a mother."
With all the pent up anger towards her mother, she could still feel a little guilt inside her but she knows that her mother only sees her as her possession and her other self not her child. Also, all her wrongdoings to her and Gang Tae's family will be always there inside their hearts and it pained her that Gang Tae still loves her despite that.
She sighs, she thought she had moved on about all of these but one bastard just made her question herself and her decisions.
Gang Tae stirs in his sleep, grope Moon Young's side and found none. Afraid that she left without saying anything, he quickly stand up and get out of the bedroom only to see her in the balcony, he could see a smoke in the air.
"You're still smoking." he notes making Moon Young jerked a little and put it on the ashtray. Gang Tae couldn't remember the last time he saw her smoke so he thought she stopped or maybe he just doesn't see it. Something might have triggered her to use that one and he's sure it was about what happened earlier.
Moon Young expects a complain from him, but instead Gang Tae hugs her and whispered "I'm sorry."
"Why?" she asked, wondering why he's apologizing
"I should be there with you." he closed his eyes and gavr her a kiss on her temple
"Do not feel guilty about it. I'm fine." Moon Young whispered while moving her hand on his back, caressing it.
"You're not fine at all. Don't try to hide it especially to me. You have a fever and It's been awhile since you smoke. Am I right?"
She nods, feeling guilty about it. "Would you not allow me to smoke anymore?"
"It's up to you."
"Why?"
"What do you mean why? I know you know that it's bad for your health but I also know that it's not easy to stop and I won't tell you what to do. I want you to stop for yourself and not for me."
Moon Young agrees. "Do you want to talk about it?" Gang Tae asked carefully. He watched her look at the night sky and shakes her head but after a few seconds, she looks at him "Should I visit her?"
"Do you want to?"
"I don't know." she looks down and sigh
"Let's just rest for today. it's been a long day. Whatever your decision is, you don't need to do it alone. I'm gonna go with you." he speaks while pulling her for a hug
"I'm hungry." she answered and Gang Tae chuckled "Do you want to eat out?"
"No." she pouts
"Alright, let's just order something."
At night, they settled on the bed cuddling with each other. "How's your first day?" she asked
"It was good. I made friends. I'm so happy!" he smiled
"That's good. I'm glad you're happy. I just want you to know that I want you to achieve your dreams." she speaks softly, remembering what Sang In told her
"Don't worry. I'm already living it." he answered back and kissed her forehead
