Had to Get Out

Chapter Text

It was different when he woke up again. He still felt floaty, his head was still foggy, his body was still thrumming with a sort of weird tension. He sighed softly, tightening the hold on the body that was curled up with him. Blinking slowly, he slowly took in where he was. By a fireplace, which was nice and warm, and he noticed that was partially what the numb fuzzy feeling was. He had clearly been around the fireplace a bit too long, his skin warm and red. However long it had been, it had certainly been longer than a few minutes. The room itself was cozy, and the lights were off, with blackout curtains over the windows. Tilting his head curiously he wondered if one of them was similar to him, working night shifts. He had yet to meet a few of the members already. Feeling confused, he thought back, and glancing around the place felt a sliver of alarm pull on his chest.

HE did not remember getting here. He had been laying down after a rather decent day at work, and now he was in some living area, feeling his body twitch with energy, but also feeling too lethargic to actually move. His head was still fuzzy, and his memory was just...just blank. It was not the sort of blank where he was having to take a few moments to recall what was going on, it was the type of blank where there was a straight up hole in his memory. He remembered nothing, not even feelings, emotions, senses. There was nothing where they should have been something there, at least a sliver of remembrance but no. He felt his body shiver and tremble at the realization. Glancing down, there was someone in his arms, he did not remember them, or how they got there...or anything .They smelled amazing though, and he thought distantly to himself, past the alarm, that he would have to ask them what they used, because he wanted to practically roll himself in it.

"Um, hello?" Hyunjin tried, tapping the other person. They did not so much as stir. Licking his lips nervously, he tried to shake them a bit more forcefully, but yet again...no reaction. Sighing to himself at his misfortune, he gently rolled the other off of him, wincing slightly as he did so. His body felt extremely achy, and he did not think that he was going to be able to make into his shift, even if he wanted to, tomorrow...

Another jolt of alarm made its way through him. He had no idea how long he had been out. In fact, despite not knowing how he got to this place, he barely remembered even going to sleep. Had he seriously been out all day? or...Another glance at the blackout curtains made him wonder...No, he shook his head. Just because they were up didn't mean that it was night, after all, Hyunjin had his curtains up all the time. He did not want to deal with the trouble of taking them up and down. He was rarely up enough for it to matter, and when he was up, he was mostly at work. It just seemed like an extra step that was unneeded.

Sighing, he laid the stranger down where he had been, pulled the blanket off of himself and wrapped him up in it, before gingerly standing up, groaning at the pull in his muscles. For whatever reason, he felt as though he had just run a marathon, and practically everything hurt. A throbbing sensation rolling over his entire body. Even his fingers was not spared, a dull pulsing feeling echoing through him. Pulling himself up to stand tall, he felt himself almost immediately collapse as his legs jolted, not wanting to hold his full weight. With a frustrated groan he had to wonder what exactly had happened last night. There was no way this was normal, and it left him nervous.

tilting his head, he heard something from the other room, and despite his instincts which told him to get the hell out before something bad happened, he couldn't help but feel like he shouldn't leave at all, and so he slowly made his way forwards, quietly. Or what he hoped was quiet. The town was supposed to be full of humans, but he was beginning to wonder. What with Minho's reaction to his boss, and the way Felix and Minho had both insisted he not eat anything that they give him...he was wondering if his boss could have been a witch or something. easy enough to pass as human, and not really something that would have ticked his instincts.

He really hoped that he was not trapped in a witches house, because that would be highly unfortunate. There was some nice witches but most of the ones that he had come into contact with had been of the dark and insane variety. Not exactly the type that you wanted to have dealings with, but exactly the kind that was obsessed with him. It was a rather unfortunate situation.
