Solarballs on Earth?

Summary:

Things should be going back to normal. They should have learned from this and move on. Everyone just wants to relax!

Of course the earthlings ruin that. But it was somehow worse then any one could imagine.

Chapter 1: Any last words?

Chapter Text

Things were finally getting back to normal. Jupiter is back in his orbit. Planet X left the solar system for good. It was great, besides most of the spherical moons being injured, and the smaller ones scared. But the gas giants, and mars, are handling that. All Earth was focused on was Luna. He was proud of his moon, his brother, for doing his best doing the challenges Sun set up. Though he was mad at the Sun for setting up the unfair challenges. He had other things to think about.

Who was Theia?

He had no recollection of this Theia, but that probably makes sense. If they crashed into him and was, as Venus put it, reborn from the ashes. They probably died, and he survived? He really doubted that. He's probably a different planet before the crash. So he is just a new planet. He thinks. Earth wasn't sure how to feel about that.

But that isn't the worst part. He's pretty sure the other rocky planets knew! Venus talking about planets colliding. Mars saying that's how Luna and him came to be, before the moon revolution! He thought Mars was messing with him! Mercury probably knew something! The outer planets too! And the Sun…just seems nervous and sad mentioning this planet.

“Earth?”

A voice snapped him out of his thoughts. He jumped and turned around to face the voice, and saw Luna. He looks concerned. “Oh! Yes Luna?”

“Are you ok?” Luna asked, getting closer. “You seem troubled by something.”

Ah no, he doesn't want Luna to worry! But he promised to tell him things if it's bothering him. Mercury suggested that, and he wants to get better.

“Um, well it just- things.” That is not convincing. Luna doesn't even need to try to know something is wrong! But he needs to know. Aahh this is so hard!

“Uh huh.” As predicted Luna looks more concerned. Seeing that Earth is hesitating on saying the problem. “Wanna try again?”

He just sighs, “Sorry just, thinking about the whole game show thing Sun did with you and the other moons.”

Luna just nodded to let him continue, “Ever since the whole trivia game. I've been thinking about the secrets everyone is hiding.”

Luna's eyes widened in shock, “What do you mean secrets?”

“It's just.” He paused for a moment, thinking what to say. Then he continued a bit quieter. “Theia.”

“Do you know Theia?” Luna asked curiously.

“No.” He said, then got frustrated. Yelling slightly as he bitterly said, “But everyone else seems to!”

Luna backed away from his outburst. Eyes wide as he didn't know what to say. But then his eyes soften. “Earth, not everyone knows who Theia is. None of the moons know them.”

“But Venus knows! And Mercury! And Mars! The gas giants and even the Sun knows!” He pointed out, feeling hurt that he didn't know this. “And they didn't tell me! I mean….I was the one who got...”

Luna looked sadly at Earth as he noticed his brother whisper the final sentence. Sounding sad and dejected. And Luna understands where Earth is coming from. He just learned this too, and feels lied to by the other planets and Sun as well.

“Hey, how about we just relax today?” Luna suggested, trying to get his and Earth's minds off things.

“Don't you have a moon club meeting today?” Earth asked, looking confused.

“Yeah, but I think we both need some alone time after all the craziness that happened for a while.” Luna said, trying not to think of the disappointment Titan and the other moons will be in him. Luna knows that he probably shouldn't help Earth all the time, but he would rather stay close to Earth for the moment. He doesn't seem to want to chat with the other planets at the moment.

“I guess, but don't you want to hang out with the other moons?” Earth asked, puzzled. “You usually get excited for the moon clubs.”

“I just don't feel like it today.” Luna said honestly. He wants to stay by Earth. Who knows what will happen if Earth is left alone with the other rocky planets. “I'll just ask Phobos and Deimos to tell the others I'm not coming.”

Earth eyes went wide and said dumbly, “Oh.” Then his face softened and in a little whisper Luna heard, “Thanks Luna.”

Luna only smiled and said back, “You're welcome Earth.”

A Month before X returns…

The scientists couldn't believe it. It was illogical and impossible. But there is proof right there in front of them. There on the computer screen was their moon and planet talking. This was not their intention when they sent the satellite out. It was meant to figure out what was causing the moon to disappear at random times. And all the other times their planet moved from orbit.

They thought it was some other law of physics or a new planet or another theory they had. Not discovering that their planet had a face and can talk. Well they can't hear anything but still.

It was world changing, and annoying. If planet Earth and their moon are sentient Then other planets, moons and even the Sun could be sentient. Who's to say the Earth will move again and go past the kiper belt. Though it's doubtful the Earth will do that willingly. But considering that the Earth was heading to the Sun a bit ago. It was concerning.

So they need to do something about it before things like that happen again.

_____

Now…

Luna and Earth were hanging out in the goldilocks zone. Earth was finally teaching Luna how to play space pocker. He managed to get new cards so they could play. Luna was having a hard time understanding but got it eventually.

“I win!” Luna exclaimed, very excited to finally win a game.

“Way to go Luna!” Earth happily proclaimed. He is just as excited for Luna. Spinning his brother around a bit, but stopped shortly so his earthlings didn't get hurt. “That was a sly move you did there.”

Luna giggled mischievously, “You didn't see it coming!”

“You hid that seven well.” Earth said, chuckling a little at Luna's tone. “Wanna play another round?”

“So you can beat me?” Luna said, still giggling.

“What? Scared? You know you can always-” Earth paused as felt something go into his orbit and go past it. Are his earthlings sending something out into space? He doesn't remember them mentioning anything. Curious Earth checked out what was flying in space. While Luna was confused why Earth stopped talking until he looked where his brother was looking.

“What is that?” Luna asked curiously. The spacecraft they are looking at looks spherical in shape. White plating at the top and futuristic engines and thrusters. With ten pointy things aiming in different directions.

“I don't know?” Earth replied, just as confused. “Is it a Voyager? But I don't remember-”

Suddenly one of the pointy things, that were pointed at Earth, blasted something. There was a brief flash and when everything became clear. Luna saw his brother was missing a face.

“Earth!!” Luna shouted, horrified at what he saw before he too was blasted. Looking just as faceless as Earth.

______

Mars froze as heard screaming from Luna. Shouting Earth's name before going quiet. For an agonizing minute just pure silence. Terrified, he turned around to see what was wrong. He didn't notice it at first, everything looked normal, until he realized. Luna and Earth had no face.

He was petrified. What happened to them? Where are their faces? Are they dead?

He shook his head. Not wanting to think that his best friend and moon are dead. He needs to tell the Sun or Jupiter. Probably the Sun first as he can spread the word faster.

With a plan in mind he started to head towards the Sun. As he went he noticed a small spacecraft. It looked like one of those UFOS Earth mentioned. It was pointing something at him. “What are-”

It fired something but he dodged out of the way in time. “Wow!!”

He started heading backwards as the thing went after him. He quickly tried to go back to get Jupiter. As he didn't want another laser to hit him.

But Mars barely made it to his orbit before it hit him. Barely shouting Jupiter's name before he went faceless.

He's glad Phobos and Deimos are at the moon club. Were his final thoughts before everything went blank.

_____

Mercury was listening to one of the Sun's bad jokes again. But they seem forceful and so do his laughs. He understands though. The whole situation with Jupiter and X was a lot, and Sun is just trying to bring some normalcy. Sun was coping and Mercury wanted to help. But Sun isn't easy to deal with. The giant fireball never says anything about how he personally feels. He might have to start therapy sessions with Sun.

“What does the one Sun say to the other?” Sun asked, his smile not quite as big as usual.

“Uh, what Sun?” Mercury replies, humoring Sun while trying to figure out how to convince Sun to a session. He hopes Earth is doing ok. It's been a while since they did one.

“YOUR HOT HAHAHA!” Sun exclaimed. Are the puns getting worse? Oh no, this can't be good.

“Haha nice one.” Mercury said, with a hint of worry in his voice. He needs to do this now before Sun's jokes get worse. “Hey Sun?”

Sun stopped laughing when he heard Mercury. “Yes Mercury?”

Mercury gulped as he began to speak, “I was thinking, should we- um do you want to talk about what happened with X?”

Sun looks shocked and uncomfortable with the question. But surprisingly didn't cut Mercury off or quickly change the subject. He looks deep in thought.

“Sun?” Mercury said, trying to get Sun's attention. As he isn't answering his question.

“Oh! I- I'm not sure-

“STOP POINTING THAT THING YOU LICE!”

The conversation was cut short with Venues yelling. Sun, seeing an opportunity to escape, asked him to check on Venus. Dang it he was making progress! Stupid Venus.

Reluctantly Mercury went over, knowing fully well that it will be a waste of time, and it's just Venus complaining about earthlings. He'll have to talk to Sun later.

“Wait- WHAT HAPPENED TO-

Mercury heard Venus shout more before his sentence being cut off and just silence. This brought chills to his planet body. Venus is never quiet. Mercury rushed over to Venus and called out his name. There was no response. And he quickly found out why. He had no face.

“aaaAAAAAAAHHHHHH” He screamed, and rushed back to Sun. Not noticing something caught on to his orbit.

“MERCURY!” Sun shouted, hearing his distress as he rushed back to Sun.

“SUN its Venus! He has no-

Before he could finish. Something hit him and was like the others.

Faceless.

Leaving a scared and angry Sun staring at his body.

“MERCURY! WHO DARED HURT MY PLANETS!”

Before Sun could take action. He was hit too.

“Sun?”

______

Jupiter floated in his orbit frozen at what he just saw. The Sun, rocky planets and a moon are….gone? Faceless? He isn't sure. He just knows that they were all freaking out and saw something he can see. He needs to check it out but he can't leave his orbit. Jupiter isn't sure if him moving would be a disaster. None of them are talking or moved. Just following their orbits. He doesn't want to create another grand tack. Especially if the plants aren't conscious or whatever state they are in.

“Jupiter? My gassy friend.”

Jupiter spun around when heard Saturn's voice. Getting him out of his shock and thoughts.

“Uh, y-yes Saturn?” Jupiter studdard out. He's stuttering great.

“Is everything ok over here? I heard screaming.” Saturn asked, looking very concerned. He hopes Saturn doesn't panic or cry.

“I'm ok, it's just well,” he moved over for Saturn to see. He can see the confusion on Saturn's face turn fear and teary. “As you can see, Sun and the others are um.”

He didn't want to finish the sentence. Did he fail them again?

“WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO!” Saturn screamed out. Tears flowing out of his eyes as he starts panicking. Looking around as if searching for something or someone. “Are my moons safe!”

He should have lied so Saturn isn't acting like this, but he is tired of lying. And he needs everyone to know there is danger nearby.

“Saturn, listen!” Jupiter shouted, catching Saturn's attention before he went into full panic.

“Your moons are at a moon club, and I need you to warn them. You also need to warn Uranus and Neptune. The dwarf planets too if you can find them.” Jupiter said sternly. Looking very serious, making Saturn try to calm. Trying to take this just as seriously.

“Ok.” Saturn said in a wet voice, while nodding.

“Good.” Jupiter replied, nodding back. “Now go, I think something dangerous is nearby.”

Saturn left shaking from all the adrenaline and fear. Going to warn the others. Not noticing something hit Jupiter, and started following him until something hit him. In his own orbit.

He never got the chance to do anything.

_____

Uranus was annoyed. He hears Saturn screaming his lungs off about something, something about his moons. Did something happen to them? He thought things were finally calming after…X. He feels stupid. He misses the guy even though he almost destroyed his smaller moons, and severely hurt Titania. But he misses X company, and the way he listens to him. Nobody ever does that for him.

But whatever, nothing good stays in his life. Everyone leaves because he says the wrong thing or makes fun of him. He ruined things with Neptune, ignored Saturn when he tried becoming friends with him and his moons…He hurt them in so many ways.

Why can’t he do anything right?

“Hey naberony!” Neptune says out of nowhere. He’s used to it at this point.

Uranus ignored him, not wanting to be bothered right now.

“Do you know where my moons are?” Neptune continued, not bothered by Uranus's lack of response.

“At the moon club.” Uranus answered quickly. Wanting Neptune to leave as soon as possible.

“Oooohhh, right, right, the moon club thing! Haha!” Neptune responded, blinking one eye than the other. Having his signature goofy grin. Why is he still here? “What are we talking about?”

“Ugh!” Uranus complained, “Leave me alone Neptune!”

Dang it he didn't mean to sound rude! He can't say anything right.

Neptune was taken aback by Uranus's outburst. His cousin was acting mean again. “You alright Cus?”

Uranus just stared at Neptune. Having guilt and confusion in his eyes.

“Hello!” Neptune shouted, getting closer to Uranus's face. Trying to see if there is something wrong with his cousin. Before backing away confused. “Are you sick?”

Planets don't get sick, Neptune.

“Hurt?”

None physical, he thinks.

“Dead?”

He wishes sometimes.

“Maybe I should get Jupiter! He knows all sorts of things and-

“Why?”

Neptune paused when Uranus finally spoke. Then his face brightened slightly. “Well Jupiter knows a lot of things! So he can help with-

“No mate, I don't mean that. I'm asking, why?” Uranus cut off, his voice getting soft at the end.

“Why?” Neptune asked confused, “Why what?”

“Why do y-you-” Uranus stopped himself, trying to figure out how to say it. He's not the sappy type, and is never good with words. Like that horrible joke he made about his moons. He didn't need to do that but he did, and they got scared of him. The but of the joke, in the solar system. “Why do you still care about me?”

Neptune looked confused. So he continued.

“I hurt you mate, I abandoned you and abandoned Saturn, and everyone else in the solar system!” Uranus said, feeling a bit vulnerable.

“Abandon? When?” Neptune said cheerfully. Not quite understanding what was being said.

“I-” Uranus began to tear up, “I'm sorry!”

He's not sure why he is saying it now. He could have apologized after the games. Apologize to his moons for being blind. But he feels no guilt for trying to have something that he never got. Being acknowledged, having someone be there for him, not being made fun of. No guilt for feeling this way. All this guilt he has was for the way he let things get out of hand.

“What? Cus, why are you sorry?” Neptune asked, genuinely confused. Feeling concerned for Uranus's well being.

Making Uranus feel more guilty. Of course Neptune is confused. He probably doesn't remember what happened. You're an awful planet Uranus.

Suddenly there was a blast that hit him, and everything went black.

“Uranus?”

Neptune circles his cousin before going back to his orbit to check on his moons. When he got there he met the same fate as the others.

Chapter 2: Moon Clubs right? What could go wrong? Pt 1

Summary:

The moons are slowly realizing something is wrong.

Notes:

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

The moon club was doing its usual things. Discussing about their planets, playing a few games, hanging out. Everything they normally do, but there was something different. All the moons are not complaining about their planets. Instead we all feel grateful for their planets. The situation with X had shown a side of the plants that none of them saw before. It was deep love and concern for them.

And Titan was grateful for that. Sure there are still issues, but now everyone can see the plants care. Especially Saturn and Uranus moons. The resentment that he usually sees with his fellow moons are more conflicting. Like they were thinking, considering, regretting what they did to Saturn. While Uranus moons are finally releasing that their planet is just flawed and desperate. Realised that their planet is facing the same cruelty as them. It made them all see how their planets are trying to not act like Sun.

Which was strange to think about, but makes sense. Sun is like the planets controlling parent, or that's how Luna puts it, and so they try to be less controlling with them. That makes sense, at least to Titan.

There is one thing missing in the club, Luna. Which wasn't concerning, Phobos and Deimos told them that Luna wanted to give Earth a break from the other rocky planets. Which was disappointing, but Luna is Earth's only moon. So it makes sense that Luna wants to stick by Earth. Earth's life must be so scared and confused about what happened the past few Earth months. Doesn't mean that Titan wasn't disappointed in him.

“Hey Titan.” A voice said behind him. So he turned around to see Titania. She looks concerned about something.

“Oh, hey Titania.” Titan replied back, “What do you need?”

“Can we go somewhere more,” She looked around hesitantly, making sure nobody was looking their way, then said to him quietly, “Private?”

Titan raised a brow, why would she want that? Does she need to talk to him about something bad? Whatever it is must be serious. “Uh sure, lead the way.”

Titania leads him far from the others, past their usual area. Almost going to the other side of the outer belt, that is closer to the ice giants, not saying a word to each other. Before finally stopping. She must really not want the others to hear. But whatever it was, she was staying silent. Seeming to be lost in thought.

“So why did we travel this far for a talk?” Titan said, breaking the silence, which caused Titania to snap out of her thoughts.

“Right,” Titania said awkwardly, before clearing her throat and bluntly said, “Something's wrong.”

Titan's eyes widened, confused and slightly concerned he asked, “What happened?”

“I was watching over Neptune's moons when Oberon came up to me.” Titania started, her eyes looking into the solar system, looking for something. “He looked concerned and I asked what was wrong.”

Titan got closer to Titania and followed her gaze trying to see what she was looking for.

“Oberon told me he was at the edge of the club area, and heard the Sun screaming.”

Eyes widening, Titan looked at Titania slightly shocked. “How did we not hear the Sun?!”

Titania shook her head, not sure herself. “You wanna know what Oberon heard what Sun said?”

Titan heard the seriousness of her tone so he nodded.

“Who dared hurt my planets.”

Titania looked wide eyed and scared, so was Titan. Chills ran up his body, he felt concerned for Saturn now. Titan suddenly realized why Titania brought him here. She was checking on Uranus, and she didn't want to do it alone or make the others alarmed. That's when Titania spotted a dark blue dot, Neptune.

“Come on!” Titania said hurriedly, rushing towards Neptune.

“Titania wait!” Titan called after her. Going just as fast as Titania.

What is happening? Are the planets in danger? Are they under attack from rogue planets? Why isn't the Sun calling a meeting? Titan's thoughts are racing and he isn't sure what to do.

Titan finally caught up to Titania when she was already there. Trying to get Neptune's attention in a bit of a hurry.

“Neptune please answer me!” Titania called out desperately, tears streaming down her surface. “Is everything ok! Please!”

It was the most heartbreaking cry he had heard. And Saturn was his planet. But something is wrong with Neptune. Why did she go to Neptune?

“Titania.” Titan called out, trying to get her attention. She needs to calm down so they can think. But she doesn't seem to hear him. So he tried again, louder this time. “Titania!”

She still didn't hear him.

“Neptune, please tell me nothing happened to Uranus!” Titania cried out more desperately. It made Titan want to drag her away. She's so concerned for Uranus but doesn't want to go to him. Is she still scared?

“TITANIA!” Titan screamed out, finally catching her attention. He couldn't watch her desperate calls anymore. Titania was shaking.

“Please,” Titan said calmly. “Calm down.”

That seemed to make her bawl and flout towards him. Seeming to want comfort from his presence. Titan whispered some comforting words to her, like he does to Saturn, pulling her with his gravity away from Neptune a bit. Making sure Titania was ok, and was confused why Neptune wasn't doing anything. So he looked up, wanting to yell at Neptune. But was horrified to see that there is no face on the planet.

Just a husk with icy storms.

“Titan?” Titania said, looking up at him. Calmed down from her crying.

“We need to check on the other planets.” Titan said, with a horror in his voice and face looking blank. Titania looked at what Titan was looking at. Screaming as she finally saw that her tears didn't let her see.

_____

“Ugh.”

Callisto doesn't want to be here right now. Europa and Ganymede talking with some of Saturn's moons, apparently trying to get some embarrassing stories on Saturn. Wrong moons to go to, Titan probably knows more than the others. Io was busy playing with the littler moons. And Triton was hanging out with the Dwarf planets.

He switches between moon club meetings and playing Dungeons and Dwarf planets with, well, the Dwarf planets.

But that means she's completely alone with no one to hang out with. Callisto could talk to the other moons, but the other moons are lame. Well she could talk to Luna, but he isn't here today apparently. Taking care of Earth sadly. She had never met a moon who is this dedicated to their planet. Not even Titan or most of Neptune moons can beat Luna.

Great, now there was a moon approaching her.

“Hey, Callisto right?” The random moon said, looking nervous. Callisto can see hidden worry in this moon's eyes if she looks close enough. Interesting, but she doesn't care.

“Yeah, and?” Callisto answered back blankly. Not caring at all, just wants this moon to leave her alone. Why did Triton convince her to go?

“Well um, my names Rhea and I was wondering if you have seen Titan?” The name Rhea asked. She must be one of Saturn's moons if she is asking about Titan. “He's missing.”

“No.” She replied bluntly. Rhea looks disappointed once Callisto says that.

“O-oh,” Rhea said with a frown, “Thanks anyways.”

Before politely saying bye then wondering off. Looking for Titan. Whatever. She should just leave already.

“Callisto!” Ganymede called out to her. Great, now they finally talk to her while she's about to leave. Of course Eroupa was at his side. “How's it going?”

“What is it?” Callisto replied, wanting them to get to the point.

“Well we saw you talk to one of Saturn's moons,” Europa began, cursing Ren or whatever their name was for getting them curious. “And were wondering what you two talked about.”

Great.

“Nothing you're interested in.” Callisto bluntly said, she knew what they were looking for. And she doesn't have it.

“Oh come on, tell us!” Ganymede demanded. Of course those two don't know when to quit. Fine she'll tell if they are so interested.

“They only asked where Titan was.”

“Why?” Ganymede asked.

Callisto sighed, “Titan's missing apparently.”

Ganymede looked surprised while Europa raised a brow humorously. As if the concept of Titan missing is funny. Well it is, he is the second biggest moon.

“Really now.” Europa said mischievously, looking towards Ganymede, he looked back at her, and they both nodded. She smirked, got real close to Callisto, and said, “Guess we'll have to find him.”

“What.” Callisto said, baffled at Europa's audacity to try and involve her. “No.”

“Oh come on Callisto,” Ganymede joined in, great their tag teaming her. “Aren't you curious?”

“No.” Callisto said annoyed, “Last time Titan went missing, the moon revolution happened. I'm not interested in more drama.” Hopefully this got her point across.

“Fine.” Europa said, disappointment written all over her face. “I guess we'll do it alone.”

This surprised both Callisto and Ganymede. Europa isn't one to just give up. She usually just drags Callisto along anyways. There were so many questions, but Europa turned away and was leaving. Snapping Ganymede out of his stupor, going a little bit fast to catch up.

“Have fun being alone.” Europa said before going towards the other moons are. Leaving Callisto bewildered and alone.

She looked around thinking. Io was playing with the smaller moons. Ganymede and Europa are off looking for Titan. And Triton is with the Dwarf Planets. The other moons were too young minded or shy and Luna isn't here. Off playing caretaker to his planet.

Dang it.

Callisto went towards the direction Ganymede and Europa went. Hopefully this is nothing special, and just Titan brooding.

_____

Drifting away from the more isolated part of the moon club, where all the loners tend to hang, Europa moved at a steady pace heading towards a specific destination. Ganymede is at her side having no idea what she is thinking. Usually they are on the same page, but Europa can tell he is very confused. By the way he's behind her instead of ahead, brows furrowed seeming to be deep in thought. He's clearly thinking of something else but she doesn't mind. She'll tell him once Callisto comes.

Europa knows that Ganymede is confused why she didn't pressure Callisto more, but she knows it wouldn't work. Not after the revolution, the trials and X. The moody celestial wants a break from the crazy, and Europa can see that. But she needs Callisto to help find Titan. She doesn't like to admit it but she's worried, she has this feeling in her core that something is wrong. So the more moons that come the better, well the bigger moons, even if she has to use some of Callisto's insecurities. So now Europa is casually drifting waiting for Callisto to catch up.

And she doesn't have to wait long. In the corner of her eye Europa sees Callisto drifting up next to her. She can imagine the shock on Ganymede’s face. So without looking, casually said, “Glad you could join us.”

Callisto scoffed, “What ever.”

Ganymede just looked at the two and decided to change topics, “So, what's the plan?”

Europa perked up, “Well, we all know Titan doesn't hang out with a lot of moons.” She started off.

“Uh huh.” Ganymede said, but let her go on.

“So that narrows down the moons that know where he is.”

Both Callisto and Ganymede looked confused. Callisto raising a brow while Ganymede seems to be trying thinking. Maybe she's being a bit two vague.

“Other Saturn's moons have a rocky relationship, Titan doesn't talk to any of Jupiter's moons except us and Io, He's awkward around Neptune's moons. So that leaves us with Luna, Phobos, Deimos and Titania.”

“Oh!” Ganymede exclaimed, getting what she is saying. “Whay about Uranus's, hehe, other moons?”

There is only one answer to that question. “Where Titania goes, they go to.”

“I see.” Ganymede said, while looking around. “Who should we go to first?”

Good question, she hasn't seen Luna anywhere or the other three for that matter.

“Luna isn't here.” Callisto said out of nowhere.

“Huh?” Ganymede and Europa said at the same time.

“Deimos and Phobos told us he isn't here. Apparently giving their planet a break.” Callisto added, answering their questions they yet to ask. Huh, she must have missed that. To caught up with asking Saturn's moons questions.

“So that just leaves us with-

“Deimos and Phobos have been playing with Io most of the meeting.” Again Callisto buts in, telling very useful information.

“Ok…” Europa started but stopped, trying to get her thoughts together. If Luna isn't here and the twins have been with Io. That just leaves, “Titania it is.”

“Alright where is she?” Ganymede asked.

“Follow me.” Callisto said abruptly, moving past Europe and going to the edge of the meeting area.

Europa and Ganymede looked at eachother, amused. Callisto really wants this to be over with.

“You heard her.” Europa said, before following Callisto, Ganymede just behind her.

_____

Oberon was passing back and forth. Titania has been gone for a while now, and it's making him nervous. First Oberon hears that Sun was screaming about the planets being in trouble, and now Titania. Something's wrong and all He did was let Titania handle it. And now she could be in trouble.

“Please be ok.” Oberon whispered softly. Looking at the solar system, being quiet as ever, making it feel less like home and more eerie.

“Oberon?”

He jumped at the call of his name and spun towards the voice.

“Y-yes!” Oberon shouted, stuttering over a simple word. Then blushed upon realizing this.

“Yes?” He repeated, turning to face the celestial. It was Miranda, and the other moons of Uranus, oh, They look worried.

“Are you ok?” Ariel asked, getting closer to him. He didn't mean to worry them. But they asked more questions before he could answer.

“Yeah! You've been pacing around, and you looked so worried!” Cupid pointed out. Well he wasn't exactly hiding it, and didn't they say he always looks concerned?

“You were also mumbling to yourself.” Puck added to Cupid's statement. “Not sure what you exactly said.”

“Oh no!” Bianca said, sounding devastated. “That means he's really worried!”

They are all worrying for him more then he is worrying over-

“We should find Titania, she'll know what to do.” Ariel suggested, causing Oberon to flinch. Umbriel noticed, and got closer to him, staring. As if asking did something happen between you and Titania?

“Umbriel?” Miranda asked surprised, looking between Oberon and Umbriel as the latter is staring intensely at the former. “Did he do something?”

Umbriel nodded without breaking eye contact with Oberon. He started to shake nervously.

“Oberon what's going on with you?” Ariel asked, looking more serious. “Do we need to get Titania?”

Oberon flinched violently back at the mention of Titania, breaking eye contact with Umbriel. Causing his siblings to gasp. Before he turned away, not wanting to look at them.

What should he do? What should he say? That looked too suspicious and the others are going to think he and Titania got into an argument or something.

“Ob?” Mab asked, causing him to look back and see Mab's glossy eyes. Looking so sad and concerned. “Did something happen between you and Titania?” His voice was so rough and wet.

“I-” he began wanting to answer their questions, his siblings deserve answers, but someone interrupted him.

“Hey guys!”

They all looked towards the voice to see…Ganymede, Callisto and Europa?

Two of them looked around, smiling, while one looked bored.

“Are we interrupting something?” Europa asked, her smile dropped. Either sensing the tension or noticing Oberon was surrounded by his siblings, all looking sad, worried or a mix of both.

“Sorry, we are just having.. um..a few issues.” Ariel tried to answer without giving too much detail. But Europa pushed for answers. “What issues?”

Oberon slowly backed away from the group feeling a bit suffocated with all the attention he got earlier.

“Um it's just…u-um…” Ariel tried to find an excuse, but couldn't. “There's no need to-

“Where are you going?” Ganymede asked, directly to Oberon, he made a little squeak when he got caught. He was near the edge of the group, hoping to blend in. “Don't think I didn't notice the issue has something to do with you.”

“I-I um..” Oberon began but stopped, he's not sure what to say. Like planet like moon now that he thinks about it.

“Ob.” Miranda whispered, looking towards his direction, the others were too. But nobody heard her as Ariel talked over her.

“Leave Oberon alone.” Ariel said fiercely, blocking the bigger moon's view of him. “He has nothing to do with you, so leave us alone!”

“Chill.” Ganymede said, trying to deescalate the situation. “We were just wondering where Titania is.”

Oberon flinched again, he needed to stop doing that.

“Why?” Ariel asked, narrowing her eyes in suspicion.

“Well we were hoping if she knew where Titan is.” Europa said, sounding a bit annoyed. “But clearly she isn't here.”

Some of his siblings shouted confused and worried, not knowing Titans was missing, him included. While his other siblings seem to subconsciously look towards him. Causing the three biggest moons to look at him. Oberon can't help but back away. He hates attention.

“I'm assuming that you know.” Europa said, looking less annoyed. “Oberon was it?”

He nodded.

“Can you tell us?” Europa asked, more gently. Trying not to force him, and being patient.

“Um, well I'm not sure exactly where she is.” Oberon began nervously. “But I asked her to check on Uranus.”

His siblings looked surprised and relieved. He should have told them earlier, but they were overwhelmingly him.

“Why would you ask her that?” Callisto asked, seeming to be interested in the conversation. “Why not go yourself?”

Oberon moved closer to the group. Trying to gather his courage for what he's about to say next. His expression must be grim because Jupiter's moons began to look serious.

“Because I heard the Sun scream that the planets were in danger.”

“WHAT!!??”

“When was this?” Europa asked, voice deadly serious and her face hardened.

“A-Around an Earth hour or two.” Oberon quickly said.

“When did you ask Titania?”

“S-soon aft-after…” Oberon whispered.

There was a pause, everyone was staring at him, jaws dropped. Did he do something wrong?

“Ganymede….”

“Yes babe….”

“Get the other moons….I think I know where Titan went…..”

“R-right….

Chapter Text

The moons gathered around Europa and Ganymede confused on why they suddenly have an actual meeting. This is the first meeting since Planet X severely hurt most of the bigger moons. It was supposed to be a celebration of their recovery and for defeating X. A lot of moons hope it's nothing serious but the faces that the two moons and Uranus’s moons have aren’t reassuring. Not to mention that Titan isn’t there, something is wrong.

“Hello everyone, you must be wondering why I gathered you all.” Europa began, her face serious and her voice grave. Europa understands the confusion they must have, but she must address this matter. “It has come to our attention that two moons are missing.”

The moment she said those words it was chaos. Moons shouted questions and demands while others gasped and whispered to each other. This took the galleon moons off guard. Normally the moons are less sensitive when they have serious talks. But it seems there is still some tension from when X was around or they are nervous because of the other drama. But they need a plan for looking for Titan and Titania, and to keep the little ones safe from a threat.

“Alright QUIET!” Ganymede yelled, and all the moons immediately stopped. “We are not done.”

Europa Nodded to Ganymede in gratitude. She then cleared her throat. “Yes, I have an idea where they might be, but we need some help.” The other moons nodded in agreement, but some were a bit apprehensive.

“Why do you need help finding two moons? Can't you do it yourselves.” Saturn's moon, Enceladus if Europa remembers right, called out looking skeptical. “I mean you've done it before.”

Europa and Ganymede gave each other looks for a split second. Deciding if they should tell the truth or lie, but decided to tell the truth cause Uranus moons know. They know how….stubborn some of them are.

“Well you see….there might be……um.” Ganymede began, struggling to find the right words to say without panicking the others. Pausing a few seconds before continuing. “We think there might be something dangerous out there.”

Europa can't help but give Ganymede a look. Really, that was a poor choice of words. And by the looks of the Uranus's moons they thought the same. At least the other moons aren't panicking.

“W-w-w-what ma-a-ade you-u-u thi-i-ink that?” Io, ever the sweetest, asked.

“The sun yelled about the planets being in danger.” Europa began, then paused to let the words sink in. The other moons had various faces. Some were shocked, others worried, and on the younger moons, scared. Europa continued, “Titan and Titania went out after someone told them this,” Europa stared at Oberon before looking away “and haven't been back since.”

The silence after she spoke was profound. The stillness as everything sunk in, it was incredible, even the little ones seemed so stiff. It lasted a solid earth minute before someone spoke up.

“What should we do?”

That brought everyone out of their shocked states to look who talked. It was Rhea, having a determined look on her face.

Europa and Ganymede smiled.

“Well, we need a few moons to investigate if something happened to the planets.” Europa said.

“Three groups to be exact.” Ganymede began, the other moons began to listen intently. “One group for the rocky planets, one for the gas giants and one for the ice giants.”

“Why are we investigating the planets?” A moon of Saturn asked, Mimas she thinks.

Europa answered on beat, “If the two are checking out if something was endangering, wouldn't they check on the planets first? Ask them if something is going on?”

“I see.” Mimas said, nodded at the explanation.

“We can check on the ice giants.” Miranda said, nodding towards the other moons of Uranus.

“We can too!” A little moon of Neptune shouted. “We wanna protect Neptune!”

It was adorable for the little moon to be so protective of their planet. But Europa doesn't want to send child-like moons to be near a possibly dangerous situation.

“Proteus I don't think-

Ariel, thinking the same as her, tried to talk the small celestial out of it. But he was having none of it.

“No! I wanna protect Neptune!”

“Yeah!”

“Guys come on it's probably not that serious-

Europa groans, this is going to be exhausting. Trying to convince one of the little moons of Neptune out of something is like trying to push a giant. The only ones that convince them to stop are Neptune and Triton. But right now the planet is in danger and Triton is with the Dwarf planets- THE DWARF PLANETS.

She had almost forgotten.

“Actually we could let you go to protect Neptune.”

She got some dirty looks, but she ignored it.

“Really!” The small moons of Neptune all exclaimed.

“Yes, really.” Europa confirms, being very serious. “But first you must get your big brother.”

The little Neptunian moons all looked confused. All the others seem to be just as confused.

“Why?” One of them asked.

“You don't want to leave your big brother out of protecting your planet do you?” Europa asked, mocked seriousness.

The little moons gasped, as if they made a horrible mistake.

“You're right we can't leave Triton out!” Proteus said, looking guilty.

“Yeah we should get him, he'll know what to do!” Another said.

“The other smaller moons should go along. After all, the more the merrier.” Europa added, hoping the others go along.

“Yeah!” Carme agreed, looking excited for an adventure. This got the other smaller moons to get excited, and before anything else was said they left looking for Triton.

“Well then…” Europa began watching most of the little moons run off before turning back. “Who wants to check on the rocky planets?”

_________

Everything is too much. The panic that enveloped him when he rushed to Saturn. The fear that followed when he found the planet, called to him. The way that his parent planet didn't respond, making the pit in his stomach grow. He didn't even notice Titania was not with him because something caught his eyes. Well more like something he heard caught his attention.

Sharp cries, from multiple directions.

His previous worries came to a halt. There was something- no, someone, well multiple someone's, are crying. Sounding so scared, and so young.

Oh no.

He didn't think twice.

He rushed to collect the crying little moons.

“Hey,” Titan choked out, finding the first of many. The little moon kept crying. He scrambled to remember what the others do when new moons come. Lifting them up half-hazardly with his gravity. "It's alright.” He cooed softly.

He did this with every single moon he found until they were all quiet and flouted in his orbit. All 128 of them.

Why?

Why!?

Why Why Why Why Why Why Why Why Why-

Why did they have to appear now?

He's-

Titan is all alone. Like he always is. But this time, there is no Saturn to comfort him.

Just him and the new little moons.

Why is he always alone?

A sob came out his throat. Tears streaming down. Titan tried so hard to keep them in and quiet.

“I got you.” He whispered out. “You won't be alone.”
