Summary
Neptune was a lot of things.
Silly. Flexible. Really good at math. Introspective. Ice giant. Planet. Blue. Not bound by the confines of reality.
But one of the things Neptune also was, one of the things people often didn't connect back to Neptune was that he was a protector.
Sure, maybe in regards to his orbit and the Kuiper Belt but considering his mental state it was easy to write him off on that.
But Neptune was good at protecting the others from other things, or at least... tries to.
Sometimes at the expense of himself.
OR: 3 times Neptune smiled and tried to protect someone at his own expense, 1 time he questioned if it was enough, and the 1 time he finally cracked.

Summary
Despite the fact that Earth may not have the best memory, there are some things he’s always considered facts. Unchangeable.
So, when he hears about the past from Venus and Mars. When he hears about who they used to be and Terra and Theia... he doesn't know what to think. Doesn't how what to say or how to talk to Luna or what to do.
He's scared. Scared because everything he thought he knew was apparently wrong, except from the fact he has one moon: Luna.
And he's scared of doing anything to change that. To jeopardize their relationship again. But Luna isn't talking to him and doesn't seem to be telling him everything and he's scared.
OR after The Conversation in "this is brave, this is bruised" Earth and Luna (and Dark) have to deal with learning about their origins. About learning where and who they came from. And who better to help than another planet and moon duo that had a similar discussion recently?

Summary
Neptune knew he didn't know a lot. There were constants (like his moons) but sometimes even those fell through the mist in his mind. No matter. Neptune knew that he didn't know much. However, he did know that his orbit felt wrong. There wasn't that characteristic pull - either of him pulling something or something pulling him.
He was definitely pulling something. His moons, things in the belt where his moons used to be, and...
...
That's it. His cousin. He wasn't pulling his cousin. His cousin wasn't pulling him.Uranus has gone missing, and Neptune sets off to find him. Set after Jupiter is Back Part 2!
