Work Text:

"Dallyeora Bangtan!" The seven boys yelled together, smiling brightly as they stood in front of the many cameras.

"Guys!" Namjoon called out, clapping his hands once, "We're at the swimming pool today," He began, "Are you all excited for today's episode?" He asked.

The other six nodded in enthusiasm.

"Director-nim! What are we doing today?" Seokjin prompted, looking at the man behind the camera with expectant eyes.

"Today's dallyeora bangtan is a water obstacle course. You all will play in teams and the team that finishes seven laps around the course first will get the grand price." The director explained, the boys looked at him like they didn't believe him, because there was no way it was that easy. "You all will be wearing very slippery socks." He added.

"Of course." Yoongi groaned, slumping forward.

"Isn't this swimming pool too small for an obstacle course?" Hoseok mumbled to himself, and his microphone could not catch it.

"Okay!" The director called out, "Let's start, shall we?"

The boys let out a chorus of 'yes' before they ran towards the swimming pool.

The seven of them quickly picked out their teams, which left the teaming to be;

Seokjin, Yoongi, Hoseok and Jimin in one team and Namjoon, Taehyung and Jeongguk in the other.

"Are all your teams picked out?" The director asked.

"Yes, director-nim!" Hoseok answered.

"Alright then. You may begin the game in 3... 2... 1... Go!" The director exclaimed, and immediately, the seven boys ran off, jumping across the floating obstacle course.

The episode was going fine, with mostly the boys yelling at each other and laughing.

At some point, they had splashed so much water on the obstacle course that it had gotten even more slippery than it had been. And with their socks, it got worse. No one could get across without at least falling once or twice.

Namjoon was running around the further edge of the swimming pool, near the small ladder used to climb down into the swimming pool. There was a floatie he had to jump onto, but it had drifted too close to the ladder. Namjoon, being too engrossed in the obstacle course, didn't notice and stepped forward...

...Only to lose his balance and fall backwards, hitting his head on the ladder.

The impact wasn't too bad, but he was at risk of drowning, so he blindly reached out for the ladder, only to get his arm cut against a rough-edged rock near the ladder.

"Namjoon hyung!" Jimin, who had just arrived at that part of the course, exclaimed, rushing forward to grasp onto his hyung's hand.

The water near Namjoon's arm was slowly turning red, sending Jimin into a panic as he hurriedly tried to pull his hyung out of the water.

"What's going on?" Taehyung questioned as he swam up to them, confused.

"Joon hyung fell and got hurt!" Jimin exclaimed, holding on to Namjoon's hand tightly.

The confusion morphed into immediate panic on Taehyung's face as he quickly swam up next to Jimin and helped his soulmate hoist his hyung up.

"Hyung! Are you okay?" Jimin asked frantically, scanning Namjoon's face.

Namjoon squinted his eyes and then blinked, "'m fine," He responded, "Jus' a l'ttle dizzy."

"Shit. His arm's bleeding too much!" Taehyung exclaimed, looking at the large gash on his hyung's lower arm.

The two '95 liners tried their best to apply as much pressure as they could on the bleeding gash.

"What's happening here?" A camera-man asked as he came up with a camera, "Director-nim asked me to check up on you gu- WHAT THE HECK?!" He shouted, dropping his camera.

"Namjoon hyung fell." Taehyung spoke, "Can you call anyone for help?" He requested.

The camera-man nodded, running to the crew.

"Guys! Why are you guys shouting so much?" Hoseok questioned as he and the other boys made their way to them from the obstacle course.

Jimin just gestured at Namjoon.

Immediately, the other four's eyes widened.

"How did this happen?" Yoongi asked, crouching down next to the younger boys and helping them try to stop the leader's arm from bleeding.

"He slipped." Taehyung supplied, "The obstacle course has gotten too slippery."

"This was a bad idea from the start," Hoseok sighed, shaking his head.

"It isn't that bad." Namjoon replied.

"Shush. Don't waste your energy." Seokjin instructed.

A few seconds later, they heard the director shouting 'cut' and then the camera-man returned with the director and a medic they had on standby just in case.

The medic didn't say anything as he quickly began inspecting Namjoon's injury, holding a guaze to it.

The bleeding eventually slowed down a few seconds later.

"It's not that deep," The medic comments, "I think a few stitches will be needed." He pulls out his first aid kit, first he gives Namjoon a painkiller and a very mild shot of anesthesia. Then, he cleans the gash and then begins to work on the wound.

About fifteen minutes later, the medic stepped back, "There." He exhaled, "He'll be fine now, but I will give you guys some anti-biotics just in case."

"Okay," Seokjin nodded, taking the bottle of pills from the doctor and walking over to his back to put them in.

"Thank you, sir." Yoongi bowed to the medic as he watched the older man leave.

"Rapmon hyung, how are you feeling?" Jeongguk asked.

"Like I'm floating." Namjoon replies, still under the effects of the anesthesia.

"I see," Jeongguk nodded in mock-seriousness, "Can you describe how it feels to float?"

"I dunno," Namjoon shrugs, "How would I know?"

"Alright." Jeongguk bobbed his head, "It seems that you don't know what it feels like to float."

Namjoon blinked at Jeongguk as if asking him 'are you serious right now?'

"Gguk-ah, are you sure you're not the one who was given the anesthesia shot?" Taehyung questioned.

"Hyung." Jeongguk turned to Taehyung, "It is simply of utmost importance to me that I learn how it feels like to be floating."

"Okay then, go find out." Taehyung responded before turning to Namjoon, "Hyung, are those stitches hurting?" He asked.

Namjoon shook his head, "I don't feel a thing."

"Probably because you're floating." Jeongguk mumbled.

"Enough, Gguk." Jimin commanded.

"What? The floa-"

"If I hear you say that word once more," Seokjin cut in, "I will not hesitate to tie you to one of those floaties for the rest of the day." He warned.

"Okay, okay." Jeongguk replied.

"Good. Now shut up." Yoongi ordered and then looked at Namjoon, "C'mon Leader-nim, let's get you home."

Namjoon groaned, "I don't wanna get up."

"And why is that?" Hoseok asked with a raised eyebrow.

"The room's being all funny." Namjoon replied.

"Funny?" Yoongi repeated, "How?"

"It's spinning around." Namjoon answered, "Like a ceiling fan." He added.

"I see," Yoongi noted, "How about we get to the car and you sleep for a bit. Maybe the room will be normal then." He suggested.

"Okay! Let's go." Namjoon cheered, clumsily stumbling forward.

"Woah! Careful!" Hoseok called out as he quickly caught the leader from knocking over the camera and light set ups.

"Wan' go home!" Namjoon slurred.

"Damn. Anesthesia is strong as heck." Yoongi muttered as he placed a hand on Namjoon's shoulder and led him to the car.

After all of them had settled in the car, they heard snores coming from one of the middle seats.

They turned to the origin of the sound, only to find their leader, snoring peacefully with his head resting on the car's door.

Hoseok, who was sitting next to him, ruffled his hair and smiled, "Maybe don't be so clumsy next time, okay, Joonie?"
