Ravio’s mouth felt dry. And cold. It felt like a desert at night. Heck??
He couldn’t feel where his legs were positioned. Has he simply been sitting there for too long? Probably, this meeting has been going on for over an hour. Or two. The merchant wasn’t sure, he lost track of time. A pity Sheerow wasn’t allowed to be here. Ravio would have really needed him at the moment. To pet him and hold his fluffy friend in his hands.
…
Where even were his hands? He couldn’t feel those either. He looked down to see them on the table. Though, they looked more like blurry splotches of color rather than hands, like in a dream.
And who the heck opened the curtains??
Everything was so damn bright. It was hurting his brain.
His heart was beating in his head.
The voices around him sounded like he was trying to listen to them through a wall.
He was getting tired of this shit. More than he already was. …Perhaps he shouldn’t have stayed up all night reading through books and doing very specific paperwork. …multiple nights in a row….
“Oh you’re so smart, your highness!” One maid had said as he was passing through the halls the other day.
“You’re so clever and intelligent!” The other one had told him.
Those girls were fricking lying. Yea sure, he wouldn’t call himself stupid, but if pulling multiple all-nighters before an important meeting wasn’t the dumbest thing he has done in these last few months, he didn’t know what was.
While all the lords and barons and human peacocks and what not, were busy arguing over some stupid bullshit with her Majesty, he came to the conclusion that it was a good time to make up for his recent stupid decisions by doing his body some good and get a glass of water.
He managed getting his legs to move.
The merchant slowly stood up and tried to walk to the door when his already blurry vision decided to take it one step further and go absolutely dark.
