Summary:

One month after (AKA, the spicy epilogue)

Notes:

Hello hello! We're finally at the TECHNICAL end of 'Fluffy Love' (though really its just to settle everyone's spicy tongues)

Thank you all for the support. This has been a lot of fun to write, and I'm going to miss our little bar crew and the gremlin kittens.

But we're moving on to bigger things, which I'll talk about at the end! So see you there!

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

~*One Month Later*~

“Is that the last box?”

At Kirishima’s question, Katsuki grunted, hiking the mentioned item into the back of his car. Because of his smaller apartment in the city, he hadn’t brought much to fill his grandfather’s enormous house. He’d already sold the furniture off once hearing Momo sold the home, corralling his ex roommates to help finish his deep clean of the house. Izuku would have joined in on the final steps, but he was shopping for the baking supplies they’d need over the weekend. In truth, the vet had been welcoming in every aspect over the month, never complaining about the weird hours Katsuki showed up or left the new home.

But, with the last haul of his stuff, he hoped they’d have more normalcy.

“God, I hope so.” Denki groaned while lying out on the snowy front yard, not seeming to care about ruining his pants. “I don’t think I can lift another thing.”

“You were in the kitchen,” Hanta said, already working on making a snowball Katsuki knew would end up in Denki’s face. “All you did was wrap bowls in newspaper. Mina did the heavy lifting.”

“Emotional support is a heavy burden to carry, and I was making sure Jirou didn’t stab any of us with a fork before lunch came—ow!”

Jirou pulled her boot back from where it had bumped into Denki’s side, smirking at the giggling Mina before focusing on Katsuki. “You need anything else from us?”

“Nah.” He glanced at the stuffed car, eyes lingering on the small box he hadn’t packed. Despite going through all of his grandfather’s paperwork and organizing it, the one thing he still hadn’t touched was the cabinet with his name on it. He’d wimped out, telling Jirou to pile everything from the ‘stupid drawer’ and throw it into the box now occupying his passenger seat.

“How are you feeling?” Katsuki looked up to see Kirishima watching him with too much care. The gentle gaze on a guy that could rival Katsuki’s strength left him with goosebumps. “You know, with selling your pop’s place?”

“It’s fine.” Because really, he didn’t think of the house when recalling the best memories with his grandfather. Shoving his hands into his pockets, he gave a last glance toward the home before turning away. “I’ve got the bar, the idiots inside the bar, and the Deku Duo. That’s plenty for me to remember him by.”

“I can’t believe you named a cat useless, nevermind a boyfriend,” Mina said, nudging her elbow into his side playfully. “How did a cutie like Izuku fall for a brute like you?”

“Funny, I say the same shit about Rocks For Brains all the time.” He stepped away before Mina could get a second hit in, moving to the driver’s side of his car. When he opened the door, Katsuki paused his actions after feeling a buzz against his leg. Yanking the phone out, he felt his lips tug into a smile when seeing Izuku’s cheerful face in their kitchen. He could see the bags of groceries lining the counters, Izuku knowing better than to try and put them away without Katsuki. “Alright, enough lazing around. You idiots go enjoy your days off away from me.”

“Oh, sure. Make us pack up your whole life so you can go play house with Prince Charming,” Hanta said, his lazy grin lacking any anger. “You’re welcome for our humble NPC services in your life.”

“Don’t blame me for not getting any when you had a whole plan for kitten-trapping Icyhot.” He moved to slide into the car, but paused before looking back at the group and letting his voice lose some of its roughness. “But thanks. For… all the shit you’ve put up with. I wouldn’t be here without your headaches, so I guess you’re not complete idiots, after all.”

“We love you too!” Mina shouted without hesitation, Jirou’s smirk far too full for Katsuki to stand. Ignoring their happy high-fives and cheers over Katsuki’s weak affection, he flipped them off before pushing into his seat.

Slamming the car door, he rolled down the window raising his voice. “Get off the lawn and do something with your lives. If you got a problem this weekend, Creepy Hands and the old geezer are in charge. Bug them, not me. Whoever dares to call me this weekend is getting the worst shifts for a year.”

“We’ll make sure Touya doesn’t burn the bar down,” Kirishima said, Jirou sighing.

“No promises on Jin trying to perform his stand-up show.”

Mina giggled, wrapping her arms around Kirishima’s bicep in a way that reeked of soulmates. “It’s kind of cute that he made all of us as sock puppets. I’m impressed how accurate his voices are now.”

“If he starts making the socks kiss, let Patches burn the place down,” Katsuki said, the group laughing while he turned on the car.

“Make sure my banana bread has extra chocolate in it,” Denki said from his spot in the snow, the precipitation from the snowball Hanta dropped lingering on his face.

“You’re lucky if I don’t throw your box in the trash.”

“Aw, don’t be like that.” Kirishima laughed after, though a hint of nervousness cracked through his facade when he glanced at Mina before rushing his attention back to Katsuki. “You’ll be done for monday, right? For the bar’s Christmas dinner?”

He knew the real question, which made him hold back his eye-roll before giving one sharp nod. “Yeah, yeah. Don’t get your panties in a twist, Freckles and I will be there.”

“Have a fun weekend,” Hanta called out as Katsuki backed his car up, wiggling his eyebrows in a way that made Katsuki scrunch his nose.

What made it even more annoying was that the suggestions wasn’t exactly wrong. As Katsuki drove his car toward Izuku’s (and his, technically) home, the underlying energy buzzing through his veins was hard to ignore. He’d been with Izuku for two months, and he couldn’t think of a time he’d been happier. The loss of his grandfather still hung over him like a dark cloud that randomly released a downpour he could barely breathe through. But Izuku was his reliable umbrella, willing to deflect some of the heavy rain to help keep Katsuki from drowning.

It only got better with Katsuki moving in, the normal discomfort of sharing space with another barely raising its ugly head. Making meals together, arguing about who got to pick the TV show each night, laughing at Izuku’s terrible attempt to hang up a picture while standing on a wobbly chair. The ease of slipping into the home that Izuku bought at Katsuki’s request really felt like just another part of their relationship. Katsuki couldn’t care about the few wary people that mentioned tying so much of their lives together ‘too fast’. He’d wasted decades of his life worrying about what people thought of him. Maybe if he’d been more like his grandfather, and let himself welcome the feeling ‘Deku’ broke open during their kiss, he would have noticed Izuku earlier. But now he was going to follow what he wanted.

And that, now and forever, was opening the door of the warm house with his favorite souls inside. “I’m home.”

The jingle of two bells made him grin before dropping the box from his passenger seat onto the entryway table. With his hands free, he crouched down on the floor, waiting for the welcoming squad to rush into view. With the cast removed the day before, Dyna’s longer legs had the advantage, the sleek cat trotting out to plop her head into Katsuki’s waiting palm. He scoffed and scratched under her chin, assessing the front leg to see how much weight she was putting on it, before the bite on his other hand grabbed his attention.

“I’m not a damn chew toy, Deku.”

Even as he said it, he didn’t pull out of the small mouth, accepting the sharper fangs threatening to pierce his skin. Deku was growing like a beanstalk, eating them out of house and home. Izuku pampered both of the stowaways far too much, buying the best food and lacking any impulse control when seeing a new toy or scratch post for them. It’d only been a month, and Katsuki wasn’t even fully moved in yet, but the furballs had a fully furnished space in the living room.

“Kacchan.” He looked up from the two purring cats, his heart fluttering like the damn virgin he was. There, in a dorky Christmas sweater and sleep pants, was his favorite person. Izuku’s hair almost matched the wool, and looked more like a kid waiting for Santa to come. Despite looking like the extra in a holiday movie, Katsuki wanted to grab the other into his arms and kiss him stupid. If not for their two pesky monsters holding him hostage, he would, but the cats demanded their affection first.

Instead, he offered Izuku a snort. “You've been spoiling these two again.”

“They had a new flavor of the squeezables that I knew Deku would love,” Izuku said, as if the explanation proved he had no choice. “You know how much he loves turkey-flavored treats, and they almost never have them.”

“Because you don’t work at a place where you can order it.” Sighing, Katsuki gave each one more scratch of attention before standing up, walking forward slowly toward the sheepish man. “And that doesn’t explain why the other gremlin got spoiled.”

“Well, I can’t play favorites. If I did, the house dynamics could get messy.”

“Dyna doesn’t even live here!”

“That’s not true,” Izuku said, frowning at the facts. “We agreed that she’s welcome to come home with you anytime she doesn’t want to sleep at the bar. It’s like a college kid that returns to their parents’ house on vacation. Would you say our kid didn’t live here, just because she wants to enrich her life in other environments?”

Katsuki knew he stared Izuku down like he had two heads at the absurd comparison. “She’s a fucking cat, not a Kyoko graduate.”

“No, she’s our hard-working bar employee.” And really, it should have been illegal for Izuku to look so cute when he smiled up at Katsuki. He hated the way his will caved at the expression that implored him to trade his protests for sweet kisses and warm hugs. Izuku was a menace, worse than Dyna and Deku combined.

“Whatever.” Bending down, he took what was his, lips pressing against Izuku’s. The pleased hum and quick return of the affection paired with strong arms wrapping around his neck, Izuku’s rough fingers brushing the bottom of his nape. Katuski stepped closer, hands dragging down the nerd’s torso before settling his palms over the dips of the other’s hips. He liked feeling Izuku shiver under his touch, his body never able to hide the want Izuku was too polite to bring up. Both craved something deeper, where clothes, responsibilities, and life weren’t a barrier anymore. That had been the whole point of them taking the weekend to themselves, away from the clinic and bar.

Well that, and Izuku’s ridiculous list of holiday boxes Katsuki offered to help make.

“You get everything we need to start baking tomorrow?” Katsuki poured the question into Izuku’s open mouth before chasing after it with his tongue, a little more assertive than previous exchanges. Maybe it was the teasing of his friends, or the build up of having Izuku without having him. Katsuki didn’t have sex on the mind daily, but living with the alluring man had felt like a second sexual awakening.

From how Izuku cupped the back of his head and deepened the french kiss before answering, he was feeling the same growing heat. “Um, yeah, I…sure.”

“You put the stuff in the fridge and freezer?” He asked against Izuku’s tempting jaw, teeth brushing just under the cute ear before blowing a soft breath against it.

“Yes.” Whether Izuku was answering Katsuki’s question, or trying to encourage the hands sliding under his shirt, he wasn’t sure. “Kacchan?”

“What?” He pulled back instantly, eyes searching Izuku’s face for any hint of discomfort. The gaze that met his reeked of anxiety, but from how he tried to pull Katsuki closer, he doubted it was anything he did.

“Um, I think it’s pretty obvious, but I wanted to make it clear. Ju-just in case this is going where I’m hoping it is.” When Katsuki only arched a brow, Izuku took in a sharp breath through his growing blush. “I’ve kissed other people since you, but nothing went past that. So, I’m… well, you know.”

“A virgin?” Katsuki rolled his eyes at Izuku's quiet nod, snagging his hand before tugging him away from the weird cats still watching them. “Join the damn club, Nerd.”

“Wait, really?”

“It was Deku or nothing for me,” Katsuki answered without any shame, looking back at him while they ascended the stairs. “Everyone else was lame.”

“I thought you said Deku was a loser,” Izuku argued back, though his growing smile behind the comment proved he liked Katsuki’s loyalty to a ghost.

“Oh, he is.” Once at the top of the stairwell, he yanked Izuku up the last step, forcing him to yelp as he stumbled into Katsuki’s chest. He waited until Izuku’s dazed look snapped up to meet his before he unleashed his wide smirk. “Guess I just have a thing for his kind of weird.”

“Kacchan,” Izuku mumbled, huffing even while he leaned up to steal another kiss.

Katsuki happily returned the attention, keeping their mouths connected as he walked backwards down the hall toward their shared bedroom. He kept one hand on the vet’s hip, the other set of fingertips grazing the wall to keep them from veering off track. Once he felt the wood paneling of the room, he paused long enough to pause the kiss, leaning back just enough to speak.

“You sure about this?”

In the back of his mind, the question felt stupid. They’d been dating for months, their make-outs and touching over clothing growing more bold with every day that passed. Izuku had been the one to suggest the weekend ‘without distractions’ for the baking, something he knew wasn’t to avoid people changing their holiday box orders. If it was, Izuku’s pitch wouldn’t have gotten so high when asking, Katsuki remembering how Izuku’s gaze dropped to his mouth during the discussion. Izuku wanted him, probably more than Katsuki really knew (since he seemed far more comfortable with his desires than himself). But having all the confidence in the world didn’t mean consent went out the window.

Luckily, his nerd was terrible at hiding his eagerness when tugging on Katsuki’s jacket, the hint of a pout rounding his lower lip. “I asked to spend the weekend with you alone.”

“I thought it was to make your holiday boxes?” Katsuki couldn’t help but tease Izuku even as he helped shrug off the clothing, letting it pool in the entryway before they pushed deeper into the room.

Like they were magnets, they barely let any space while yanking off the fabric obstructing them. Shirts and pants covered the floor, Katsuki was unable to appreciate the new skin due to his attention being dragged to Izuku’s needy mouth. He loved kissing the little noises off Izuku’s lips, tongue slipping through to taste every inch of the warmth inside. Izuku’s nails skimmed his back while tugging him closer, small teeth finding Katsuki’s lower lip before tugging it between his to suck. The gentle motion made heat scorch through his body, arousal pooling in his hips while staring into the hazy green gaze under him.

Growling at the need to overwhelm Izuku, he snagged the bottom of Izuku’s thighs, pulling him off his feet and tossing him onto the bed. Izuku gasped at the sudden shift, propping himself on his elbows, but any protest or comment he planned to say seemed to melt out of his ears when Katsuki dug his thumbs beneath the boxers hanging on his hips. The blue screen flashed through Izuku’s wide eyes, biting his lip and nodding when Katsuki only tilted his head in question.

“You’re like a dog,” he muttered as he tugged down the last piece of clothing covering him.

“Kacchan’s just so pretty,” was Izuku’s counter, losing some of its strength when the fabric dropped to the bedroom floor. Katsuki couldn’t remember the last time Izuku blinked while he stared without shame at Katsuki’s naked frame, hands clutching the sheets beneath him. The honest reaction made him flush with pride and embarrassment, never being on the end of a wanted leer before. Forcing his modesty to take a hike, Katsuki pushed onto the mattress, sliding a hand up Izuku’s leg while he made his way over the frozen vet.

“Is this what you were daydreaming about at bingo?” He asked, fingers tangling in the bottom of Izuku’s briefs before working on removing the annoying barrier blocking their naked flesh.

Izuku’s hands tore themselves from the blanket, quick to snap over Katsuki’s chest and down his stomach in wonder. “Something close.”

“Tch.” Katsuki gave a final yank to the flimsy cloth, lifting one of Izulu’s lean legs to slip it from the briefs without moving from his spot. Uncaring if it stayed on the other leg, Katsuki crawled forward to settle between Izuku’s warm thighs, both moaning when their hips pressed together. Izuku’s enjoyment was obvious by his hardness pressing into Katsuki, showing no restraint when rolling up into him. Hissing at the sharp pleasure, Katsuki dropped his elbows to either side of Izuku’s head, dipping down to kiss him again.

For a moment, their frantic energy simmered, mouths lazy in their slow expression of affection. Their bodies buzzed, the eagerness to finally capture the need they’d only begun to explore at the masquerade party filling the air. Katsuki did his best to ignore it when letting his fingers weave through the unruly hair resting against the pillow during their kiss. His heart thrummed in his chest, and their hips squirmed together without their permission. The pleasure was a coastline along the corner of their minds, waves gently submerging more of their restraint with each stroke of their tongues.

“You’re amazing,” Izuku whispered along his bruised lips, then moved to nuzzle their noses together.

Katsuki didn’t deny the praise, too relaxed from their exchange to get loud with his protest. Instead, he bumped his mouth up to kiss the tip of Izuku’s nose, enjoying the quick pop of red under the freckles. For a moment, Katsuki simply stared down at Izuku, taking in the ethereal image. Izuku, laying lax and open for Katsuki to pour his affection over, was a sight for only his eyes to drink in. The high flush of his cheeks, the lowered lids, and the exposed skin didn’t take an inch away from his soft beaty. Sitting over white sheets only added to his elegance normally saved for mythological beings. For a delirious second, he questioned if he’d been right the first time he saw Izuku when returning back to Chatton. But the fact Izuku only looked at him this way, waited for him to come back to where he belonged…

Choosing not to question how he earned this, Katsuki cupped one cheek against his palm, thumb brushing the side of Izuku’s smile. “Ain’t so bad yourself, Angel.”

The new nickname turned Izuku into a strawberry, arms rushing up to try and cover his face as he hid against Katsuki’s hand. His body told a different story, thrusting up to ignite the simmering fire between them. Katsuki let Izuku rut against him, enjoying the way Izuku’s lips parted against his palm in a silent moan. Encouraged by the reaction, Katsuki trailed fingers down and hiked up his bare thigh to wrap Izuku’s leg around him. The shift gave him more space to thrust into Izuku’s next movement. The temperature rose from their rocking, Katsuki watching how Izuku’s hidden face fully expressed his pleasure through the connection.

“Kacchan,” Izuku gasped out, one hand wrapped around the wrist closest to his face. “Can we—I’m ready for you, if you… please?”

“What do you mean?” At the question, Izuku tried to bury his face into the pillow. Katsuki batted away the arms before grabbing his chin, turning the man toward him again. “Words, Nerd. Just cause I’m a virgin doesn’t mean I’m stupid. I ain’t gonna hurt you cause you’re too shy to tell me what you want next or how many fingers you fucked yourself with.”

“Oh my God.” Despite the whine to the comment, Izuku laughed after, an edge of tension in his body relaxing under Katsuki. “You’re being so crass.”

“I’m about to fuck your brain out of your ears, Freckles. I think my mouth’s the least of your worries.” Then, as an afterthought, Katsuki moved his lips to the bottom of Izuku’s neck, biting the sensitive skin. “Unless you want me to use it, instead.”

“A-ah, that’s… tempting.” He smirked into Izuku’s warm skin, but his exploration along the collarbone paused when Izuku’s hands grabbed his cheeks, pulling his face back up to lean over him. Izuku struggled to lift his gaze and meet Katsuki’s, taking a breath big enough to expand his chest. “But, maybe later? Right now I’d really like you up here.”

He didn’t say it clearly, but with Izuku lifting his waist enough for his ass to brush Katsuki’s arousal, the implication got through. Katsuki gave Izuku a final kiss before leaning over to the nightstand. He’d accidentally found Izuku’s lube when looking for a place to leave his night vitamins, which now was a blessing.

“Wait, but I already—”

“Probably like an hour ago, right?” He asked, Izuku nodding before Katsuki shut the drawer and popped open the bottle to pour on his fingers. “Which means some of it is probably dry, and you can tell I’m not small. You got a pain kink or something?”

“What?! No!” Izuku shouted like Katsuki asked him to commit murder, though went willingly when Katsuki settled back down and widened his thighs to give him a better view. “This is not a very romantic first time.”

“I’ll buy you flowers tomorrow,” Katsuki answered, distracted by his own concentration of brushing the two wet fingers over Izuku’s lax rim. “We can fuck on rose petals while the bread settles.”

The vet groaned through his little giggle, his smile losing any trace of anxiety under his fondness. When not seeing any pain or discomfort, Katsuki gripped the thigh he propped open tighter before pushing the fingers inside. Izuku’s motor mouth didn’t disappoint, lips parted and unwilling to muffle any of the pleasure Katsuki drew out through his preparation. There were mewls and groans, the pitches switching depending on how deep Katsuki fucked inside. Izuku’s body was more relaxed around his fingers, proving he really had planned for them to have sex. But some of the tightness, like Katsuki expected, had returned from the timespan between Izuku’s ‘self-care’ and Katsuki’s arrival home. The head start did make the third finger ease in faster, and he enjoyed seeing the pure bliss fluttering Izuku’s lashes shut.

Still, his own body could only withstand the alluring sounds for so long. When Izuku started fully grinding down against his hand, Katsuki knew he was ready. He pulled out, Izuku barely letting his brows furrow. Then he wrapped his legs around Katsuki, their bodies meeting up again. Trust bled through their eye-contact, and Katsuki bit back his desire to ask if Izuku was sure. He’d been around the vet for months; if Izuku didn’t feel ready at this point, he would say it. Leaning his hips back just enough to grab himself, Katsuki swallowed the pulse of pleasure at the first touch he’d given himself all night. He needed a moment to settle his excitement, refusing to let the buildup end in two weak thrusts.

Seeming far more impatient without Katsuki’s fingers inside him, Izuku reached down between them, cupping Katsuki’s hand before leading the leaking tip against his rim. “I wanna feel you inside me.”

“Jesus,” Katsuki muttered, his own tell of growing need burning his ears from the blunt expression of desire. Seeing the doe-eyes close to tears made Katsuki’s previous concern about coming too soon fly out of his mind. Izuku needed him, had probably craved this for years. It wasn’t fair for Katsuki to refuse him for another moment.

Pressing inside Izuku sucked the breath from his lungs. Izuku’s back arched with every inch he sunk inside, legs twitching around Katsuki’s hips when he pressed full against Izuku. Everything pulsed inside him with pure desire, and Katsuki’s body tensed for a second with the rush. For one startling moment, he worried he really would finish before he got to move, but Izuku looked too distracted by the first feeling of them to notice Katsuki’s frozen state. After taking a few slow seconds to let his nerves settle, Katsuki managed to rope his hormones under control.

“You good?” He asked, proud of his steady tone. Izuku took a moment to nod, hands grabbing Katsuki’s biceps as if needing the grounding.

“I’m good. So, so , good.” The pleased hum after made Katsuki snort, shaking his head before pressing a kiss over Izuku’s sweaty forehead. He had nothing to worry about; Izuku was just as new to this as him. Katsuki could turn into a flopping fish and Izuku would find a way to adore him, anyway.

But Katsuki wanted to be good for Izuku, so he steeled his nerves and slowly pulled his hips back. The purr of his muscles as he rocked forward was less intense than the first sharp bite, and he embraced the new sensation while watching every reaction from Izuku’s expressionate face. Like always, the vet didn’t disappoint, feeding Katsuki’s ego with his cries and tears, hands shaking and gripping him like a lifeline. Every time Katsuki drove down, Izuku jolted closer, legs trying to trap him despite also demanding for harder thrusts. The rhythm was off, and an echo of Katsuki’s perfectionism tried to tug on his brain. But Katsuki could see the growing crescendo of need in Izuku’s frame, and shoved the dangerou thoughts off the cliff.

All he wanted to do was make Izuku feel good. The tightness that fluttered around him each time he did something right urged him harder, faster, and with more intent. His mouth found any skin he could catch, kissing and biting with a possessiveness he’d never felt before. Maybe it was a good thing they’d be hiding from the world over the weekend, if the growing hickies and bite marks were anything to go by. But Izuku only clutched him closer, forcing his hips higher up to grind into Katsuki’s touch. Sweat grew between them, making it harder to keep a firm grip on strong thighs and taunting hips. His hot breath blew across Izuku’s cheek before the other turned to force another kiss, the intensity matching the smashing of their hips.

It wasn’t perfect, but it was theirs . And Katsuki would never regret the slight misses of thrusts and their noses bumping awkwardly when trying to kiss again.

“Kacchan,” Izuku cried out when Katsuki wrapped a hand around his wet arousal, the vet’s neck growing tense as his climax weaved through his tone. “Oh, oh—yes!”

“Fuck.” Swears smashed through his brain as he dropped his forehead to Izuku’s shoulder, sweat dripping over his cheek to land on the chest below. His body, used to intense work-outs and pushing beyond comfort, ached from holding back his own orgasm. “You close? Gonna— fuck — gonna come for me?”

Before Izuku could answer with words, his body went tense. The noise that fell from Izuku’s lips was heavenly, and Katsuki’s limbs seized with relief before following his boyfriend’s lead. Everything hazed out in bliss, Katsuki grinding Izuku into the bed as his cock spilled into him. Izuku’s arms scrambled to grab his shoulders, his gasps brushing Katsuki’s ear as they came down from their high together.

“Mm.” Lazier than Katsuki had heard him before, Izuku looked like he’d melted against the bed, the only things still locked in place being his legs and arms. Katsuki didn’t mind, preferring to nuzzle his face into the mark he left at the bottom of Izuku’s neck. “Kacchan, you’re…wow.”

“We’ll do better next time,” he said, smiling when Izuku shivered against him.

Better ?” The squeak made Katsuki finally lean back to catch the surprised look covering Izuku’s face. “You didn’t like it?”

“I think you can feel how much I liked it,” Katsuki answered bluntly, and Izuku’s eyes widened before the muscles around his softened cock flexed at the attention.

“Stop that.”

“Hm…nah.” Instead, he nipped Izuku’s rosy nose, grinning at Izuku’s embarrassment. “We’re gonna have all weekend to have the best sex of your life.”

“We still have to make the holiday boxes,” Izuku said, and Katsuki scowled at his reminder.

“The fact you still remember that proves we can do better.”

Katsuki scrunched his nose at Izuku’s laughter, then slowly moved to clean them up. The shower’s size was perfect for both to slip into, though they still huddled together like it was a single stall. The warmth of the water steamed their skin, and Katsuki traced all of the marks he left on the freckled skin.

“Shitty Hair’s freaking out about Monday,” he said across the wet slope of neck in front of him.

“About proposing to Mina?” Izuku leaned into his touch, smiling over his shoulder while finishing soaping up the loofa for them. “He’s planned the dinner perfectly; its obvious she’s going to say yes.”

“He gets all in his head about stupid stuff. If there was a God, he made those two losers for each other.”

“It’s sweet that he cares.”

“You say that cause you don’t have to listen to his nervous breakdowns at work. Monday can’t come fast enough.”

“I’m sure it’ll all be worth it.” Katsuki scoffed at Izuku’s optimism, pulling out a soft hum. Then, he turned to face Katsuki, who didn’t pull away from the hand brushing his cheek. “Speaking of things being worth our time… After we get some dinner, would you like to go through the box you brought from your grandfather’s together?”

“You…” Katsuki blinked, caught off guard by the awareness. “You saw that?”

“Jirou might have texted me about it.” Izuku gave a small smile that wouldn’t let Katsuki’s irritation grow. “She said you might need some help going through it.”

“Ears is so nosey.” He pressed his face into the side of Izuku's, closing his eyes. “I’m firing her.”

“Then Denki will cry.”

“Good, I’ll fire him, too.” When Izuku only hummed and pet the back of his head, Katsuki sighed. “He left letters for me. Some for stuff that’s already happened, and… stuff he thinks are gonna be in my future.”

“You were always on his mind,” Izuku whispered, kissing his temple. “If you’re not ready, we can put the box in the closet. Nobody says you have to deal with it today.”

“I’m not a child, Nerd.” Yet taking his time with the process didn’t sound awful. Shaking his head, Katsuki moved to finish washing the suds from them, then leaned over and shut off the water. He slid the door open to get their towels, foot stopping mid-step when realizing the floor mat was already occupied. “Again? Oi!”

“They miss us,” Izuku said before peering around him, smiling at Deku and Dyna laying on the fuzzy rug. “Hi, sweethearts. You ready for dinner?”

“Dinner? You gave them treats an hour ago!”

“They’re growing babies.”

“Dyna’s an old hag—ow!” He yanked his toes back from Deku’s naughty teeth, glaring down at the playful kitten. “What the hell, furball? Both of you, out!”

“Be nice, Kacchan!” Izuku scolded when the cats meowed their protest.

Growling, he spun around. Eyes narrowing on his boyfriend’s naked body, he stalked closer. “Nice, huh? Oh, I’ll show you nice .”

“Kacchan, wait!”

Izuku’s fake protest and laughter filled the air as the two cats scampered out of the room, probably to do something distracting to drag Izuku’s attention from their current activity. Then they’d have dinner, snuggle into bed, and start the process of going through his grandfather’s letter. Maybe he’d cry. Maybe he’d ‘complain’ about Deku and Dyna jumping on their bed, cuddling his sadness away. Or maybe he’d deny his feelings and fuck Izuku again to feel something warm and safe. One step forward, or two steps back, it didn’t matter.

Because he had the support of the new Chatton. The growing Dynamight’s. The rowdy pseudo adopted employees. His far too affectionate friends. The fuzzy gremlins. His supportive parents. And Izuku, who embodied all of that, as well as his heart.

So long as they were there, by his side, Katsuki knew he’d never fail again.
