Izuku The Shape Shifter

Chapter 17: I want to fly

Notes:

This is a big chapter over 6000 words, sorry for the long wait. The writter's block hit hard writting this chapter and I decided to just upload what I got. Sorry if this chapter isn't as good as the others or doesn't make as much sense.

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

“I want to fly.” I say, while sitting on my bed reading a book about quirk theory. A faux cast wrapped around my left arm. It shouldn’t even be that hard to do either, just find a flight related quirk and do it in the quirkspace…

-

I blink a few times as I appear in the quirkspace. I was in one of the labs, though it looks more like a hospital room with just some books and no TV. I stand up. I start walking towards one of the gyms, the hallway is completely barren of anything. My footsteps echo loudly.

“I should add something like a potted plant or something. It doesn't take too long to arrive at the gym which looks like a mini, mini city. “Okay so flight related quirks there are multiple types, mutation types that give the user wings. There are emitter types that allow the user to say shoot fire to propel the user or shoot air. There are stockpile quirks that allow the user to pull in air to use for later. There are just so many quirks that could allow for flight. Hmmmm, well there was an old quirk from the silver age of heroes. Float, it would fit my needs. Well time to get to work…What did the hero with float look like again?”

-

I pop back into my body in the real world. I force myself to stand and walk over to my laptop, turning it on. It didn’t take too long to find a picture of Comet. She was standing on the edge of a building looking over the city, her cape flowing in the wind, a small smile on her face. Her costume consisted of a dark, sleeveless bodysuit with a high collar, yellow gauntlets, and white knee-high boots. Around her waist was a belt with an angular golden buckle, a small cape attached around the back which hung down to her knees, and over her shoulders was a longer cape, buttoned to the shoulders of her bodysuit. I return to the quirkspace.

-

I appear in the same gym I was in before. I could feel myself shift into Comet. A ball of green energy forms in front of me.

“I want, float.”

Nana Shimura’s Pov

I yawned, trying to ignore another argument between Banjo and Lee. At least Hikage and Yoichi had decided to opt out of this argument. What was this argument about? Oh, it’s about if All Might telling Mimir the story of the two brothers was a good idea. Banjo thinks it was a good idea while Lee doesn’t. Most are in agreement that telling Mimir was a good idea, but Toshitsugu and Lee think it was a bad idea. Though it’s not like we can do anything about it. Toshinori had already told Mimir.

“Bruce! Think about it, Mimir is smart as fuck. There’s no doubt that he could have figured it out anyways! I mean he already knew something was up!” Banjo yells.

“Even so the longer we could have kept it hidden the better off it would have been!” Bruce Lee yells back.

God this is dull. I’d literally be happy if anything could lighten the mood or just something to make this feel less boring.

Suddenly I felt a sort of pulley motion. It wasn’t too strong. I actually thought I imagined it for a few seconds. Until it happened again.

“Hey guys do you feel that?” I ask.

“Feel what?” Someone asks but I can’t tell who it is. My vision grows blurry. I try to stand up but only end up falling over. My breathing grows heavy.

“NANA!” I hear multiple people shout but their voices are growing ever more distant. Until everything grows dark.

.

.

.

Light fills my vision. I blink my eyes open as I see another me floating a few feet off the ground? She has a calculating look on her face. Well, it’s my face. That look just looks so wrong on me. Suddenly the other me looks at me and blinks a few times.

“Did ShapeSmith create a clone of Comet without me having to ask?” The other me asks but the question wasn’t directed towards me. The other me’s voice sounds different, like a child’s voice is being mixed in. “You’ll have to wait clone Comet. I still have to practice with float in this form before I try it in my own body.” The other me keeps floating around while muttering to herself.

This is so surreal. I have no idea what to do, what to say, do I say something? Yes, I do. This could be a villain. While I may not be able to tell Toshie, himself… maybe just maybe me knowing would somehow transfer to Toshie…

I opened my mouth to say something, but nothing came to mind. The other me was just floating around and spinning? My mouth shut with an audible click. The other me spins in the air to stare at me.

“...Did you just move?” The other me asks before shaking her head. “No, clones can’t move unless I give them orders.”

I grit my teeth. Why can’t I just talk to her! Say something! Anything! I opened my mouth as the other me landed in front of me. Before being shrouded by a black mist or smoke. The cloud started to clear and a familiar head of curly green hair pops through. Green eyes stare up at me.

“Izu-Izuku!?” I say, shocked. Izuku’s mouth was already open about to say something, but I could tell the words were caught in his throat.

“... What did you just call me? Wait, you talk! CLONES CAN’T TALK WITHOUT ME ASKING THEM!” Izuku jumps back. Green energy starts to flow off of him.

.

No One’s Pov

Izuku equipped Muscles x1, Shocksteel Armor x1, Gravity Gauntlet x1, Cradle Bind x1, Erasure x1. This is Izuku’s current limit with so many heavy hitter quirks. Izuku could feel ShapeSmith creak and shake a little trying to adapt to the pressure.

Nana Shimura stares at Izuku in shock as her instincts kick in, telling her Izuku is a threat. Nana’s eyes widen. Her fighting instincts had kicked in, but that hasn’t happened since Nana’s death. Nana looks at her hands, she could feel One For All in her, but it was much weaker, around the strength it was with Toshitsugu when he first got it. Nana looked up to face Izuku. A part of Nana didn’t believe this was Izuku but there was just something about Izuku that told Nana that this was the real Izuku.

“Who the hell are you! And how are you in the quirkspace!” Izuku yells.

“My name… My name is Nana Shimura…” Nana says.

“...Nana Shimura?” Izuku says to himself. That name sounds familiar… Wait, that was All Might’s teacher. But how is she here? It doesn’t make any sense.

Nana’s mouth opens and closes. I can’t tell Izuku too much. I can’t tell him I’m the seventh holder of OFA, not that he’d even know what that is.

“Um, kid…Where am I…?” Nana asks. Izuku stares at Nana wondering how much he should tell her, if he should tell her anything.

“...You’re in the quirkspace, it’s kind of like a dimension within a quirk. My turn… You’re meant to be dead so how are you here?” Izuku asks.

“I don’t know. I just remember feeling a pulling motion and then boom I’m here.” Nana says. It’s part of the truth, I can’t reveal too much. Izuku blinks a little before muttering to himself. “Um kid?” Nana tries to get Izuku’s attention. Nana floats over to Izuku who is still muttering. Nana sighs.

“KID!” Nana yells into Izuku’s ear.

“EEP!” Izuku jumps back from Nana before groaning. “Don’t do that.” Izuku says.

“I was just getting your attention. Um, I'm also in the dark, remember I’d like to hear any ideas you got.” Nana says with a motherly tone. Izuku stares up at her.

“...You know what, I'll go get Mimir! He’ll know what to do.” Izuku stands up. Nana stares blankly at Izuku. How the hell does Toshie’s son know Mimir!!!!! Nana screams in her mind. Wait, this is a good thing. Now I’ll get to talk to Mimir directly and maybe I’ll be able to get a better understanding about him.

“Nana Shimura, quirk: Float, and OFA formerly, status Deceased. In life was likely married and had children, all of whom are likely dead. Now how is a dead woman in someone else’s quirkspace.” A shiver went up Nana’s spine as the familiar voice of Mimir fills her ears.

Izuku/Mimir’s Pov

I stare down at Nana; I’m standing on top of one of the buildings in the quirk space. I had guessed some of that information mostly just hoping I was right. I had pulled almost all of the quirks I have into the main pillar. None of them were active but based on her expression of fear, my theory was right. Even just having multiple quirks ready to be used creates a pressure that others can feel.

ShapeSmith was breaking slowly, every minute like this will likely do 0.001 damage. Maybe more.

I jump off of the building but just before I hit the ground, I activate float. Nana immediately notices this.

“You’re us-using Float!” Nana yells.

“Yes, I am and before you ask how, I’m not going to tell you, Shimura.” I say.

“So, you’re Mimir huh?” Nana asks.

“Yes, I am, now tell me how you know of me?” I ask.

“Before that how do you-”

“How do I know of Izuku? I could ask you the same.” I say cutting her off. Nana opens and closes her mouth. “Stunned? You really shouldn’t be, you have no idea what I’m capable of.” As I said this, I teleport behind her. I lean on her. Which is a little awkward due to me being nearly a foot taller than her.

I feel her breath hitch.

“...Mimir… I know about you from… Al-All Might… I-I…” Nana starts hyperventilating. I should probably let up on the pressure. I can feel as most of the quirks pull away from the pillar. ShapeSmith stopped taking damage. I turn around to face Nana, who was on her knees shaking. Though her shaking is slowly becoming less and less.

“...Sorry about that… I just can’t trust you. I thought that you could have been a villain that All For One somehow sent into someone. Now I want you to explain how All Might told a dead woman about me. What did he talk about me near your grave?” I say with an attempt at a joke. It clearly didn’t land.

.

.

.

Nana’s Pov

“It-it’s hard to explain…But tell me h-how do you know of Iz-Izuku?” I ask. My heart was pumping hard, which is such a strangely familiar feeling. It’s grounding in a way but god if Mimir isn’t absolutely terrifying.

“How do you know of him?” Mimir asks again.

“...All Might and Izuku’s dad were close friends.” I say. Mimir stares down at me. We both knew that didn’t fully answer his question and we both knew it wasn’t completely true.

“I met Izuku… I’d like to say a month ago probably not that long. I met him when one of his childhood friends nearly killed him by blowing him and two buildings up. It’s likely if I wasn’t nearby when it happened, Izuku would be dead.” Mimir says. My eyes widen.

“What…?” I ask.

“I don’t think there’s anything that needs to be explained, is there? I already gave you an answer just like the one you gave me. Actually, my answer was better since I didn't lie.” Mimir says. I glare at him. Pink bolts of energy start to crackle around my body.

“YOU BETTER EXPLAIN A LITTLE MORE THAN THAT!” I yell.

Gasp!

That suffocating pressure returns. My heart stops for a few seconds before it starts to race again. But with One For All active I could still move.

No, what I told you is the best answer you’re getting, so you better deal with it, Shimura.” Mimir says. I grit my teeth.

“...fine.” I say. I wait for him to lift whatever this pressure is before I deactivate OFA. Which he does.

“Next question, how did All Might tell you about me?” Mimir asks.

“It has something to do with OFA.” I ask. I can almost feel Mimir’s anger at my response. I hear what sounds like glass cracking, but it is very quiet.

“My turn, what’s your relationship with Izuku?” I ask.

“Teacher, student.” Mimir says. “My turn… Did it hurt when All For One killed your husband? And did he do it in front of you?” Mimir asks, that pressure returned but it was far stronger than before. Purple energy crackles off of Mimir.

My body moved on its own. My chest was tight, but I pulled back my fist.

.

.

.

No One’s Pov

Mimir didn’t have any time to block, he just had to take the full powered punch to the face which knocked him back a few feet. Mimir raised a hand to his left cheek. That didn’t hurt at all? Hell, If I had been more prepared for it, it probably wouldn’t have knocked me back.

Nana’s eyes widened in shock. She hadn’t meant to punch Mimir and especially not with full power. Sure, Mimir had gone too far but Nana would admit that she was poking the bear. If the OFA I have now is comparable to second’s, then it shouldn’t have hurt that much.

Mimir smirks and was about to fall into a fighting stance but he stopped himself. No doubt that as I am now, I could probably defeat Nana but that likely wouldn’t be a good idea. Mimir sighs.

“I’m sorry, Shimura, I went too far. I shouldn’t have mentioned your husband.” Mimir says.

“No, no it was my fault too, I was trying to be annoying. I'm sorry, it’s just been so long since I had anyone other than the holders of One For All to talk to.” Nana bows.

“There’s no need for that… I’ll be right back.” Mimir says, staring off into the distance. Nana sees a flash of purple light and Mimir is no longer there.

Izuku’s Pov

BANG!

My eyes shoot open as I see… My father frantically looking around my room before his eyes land on me. We stare at each other for a few seconds.

“Why did you do that?” I ask. My father’s mouth opens and closes a few times.

“I thought… I thought someone was breaking in. Sorry.” My father says shutting the door and walking away.

“...Huh, hehe…” I cover my mouth. “Pffffffff Hahahahahahahahahahahaahhaahahahahahahahahahahahaha.” I start full belly laughing as tears flow down my cheeks. “HAHAHA the first time my dad speaks to me in what, a year? And it wasn’t even because he wanted to talk to me! He must have felt my little burst of power. HAHAHAHAHA, which is pretty impressive… I think…” Suddenly I stop laughing and crying. Everything had grown dull. “I need to regain my composure; I need to get back to Nana.” I wipe away my tears. “Why was that so funny anyways?”

-

No one’s Pov

Mimir reappears in the quirkspace’s gym. Nana was still there waiting but her body didn’t seem all there.

“I’m back, Shimura.” Mimir says but Nana had no reaction to his words.

“Nana?”

“Oh, Mimir?”

Nana turns to face Mimir, but her eyes look blurry. She looked like she was about to say something before she suddenly collapsed. By the time Mimir ran over to Nana she had disappeared.

Mimir stares down at the spot where Nana had been.

“...Interesting…” Mimir says to himself.

The next day.  Current time 3:10 pm

Izuku’s Pov

I was standing near school waiting for Rumi Usagiyama. I hid behind a tree using an illusion-based quirk to hide myself slightly. If anyone actually looked at where I am, it wouldn’t be too hard for them to see past my illusion. Students were getting picked up by their parents. Before blinking in surprise as Izumi walks out of the door with a black eye. Oh, when did she get that? I shake my head. It really doesn’t matter.

“There she is.” I say. I can see her ears… She is covered in bruises, and I can see a burn on her leg, but she has a wide smile on her face. I quickly scan over the crowd but all I could see was Izumi, Haruki and- Holy shit Katsuki is fucked up. Katsuki’s right arm is covered in bandages while he has a black eye and a broken nose. It took a lot of effort to keep the smile off my face. Rumi walks right past me. I take a deep breath in. Deactivating the Illusion quirk.

I grab her shoulder.

“Oh, do you want to go another round explosion boy- Oh it’s you!” Rumi yells, getting everyone’s attention. I smile. I was covered head to toe in thick bandages and plaster, with a cast on my left arm and one on my right leg. ‘I was using a metal pole I had wrapped up in cloth’. Of course, none of them needed to know that the pole wasn’t real, neither were the bandages or plaster, I had merely shape shifted to have these, and they were all incredibly light.

“Hello there Usagiyama.” I say with a smile on my face.

“Um, no offense but shouldn’t you be home recovering?” Rumi asks.

“Probably but I came here for a few reasons-”

“DEKU!” Katsuki yells. I turn to face Katsuki who was stomping over. Rumi steps in front of me.

“Fuck off explosion boy!”

“MOVE IT EXTRA!”

Katsuki turns to face me; his expression looks a little conflicted as he looks over my injuries.

“Huh, that’s new.” Nanami says in the quirkspace.

“What do you want?” I ask behind Rumi who was growling.

“...I was just coming over to remind you of your place, but it seems you found a feral animal to protect you.” Katsuki says.

“Oh, I’m gonna kill!-”

Shouldn’t you be running off to your mommy?” A voice comes from behind Katsuki. I look over Katsuki’s head to see Hitoshi Shinso’s tired eyes. I couldn’t tell why but I just knew Hitoshi was using his quirk.

Katsuki turns. “The hell did you-” Suddenly Katsuki stopped speaking.

Go home, bitch.” Katsuki started to walk away. My eyes widen in shock. A hypnosis quirk!!! I started to shake with excitement, but I bit my cheek to stop from muttering. Hitoshi turns to face me.

“Hello, Yagi, it's nice to see you again.” Hitoshi says.

“Yes, it’s nice to see you again.” I say.

“Hmmm, greeny do you need help walking home?” Rumi asks.

“Huh, oh no, I got someone picking me up, but I actually wanted to ask if I could get the recording of the fight from your phone.” I ask.

“Ask them if they want something to eat.” Nanami says.

“Why?” I ask back.

“Trust me.” Nanami says.

“Alright.”

“But before that, would you guys like to get something to eat?” I ask.

“SURE, I’M FUCKING STRAVING!” Rumi yells.

“Sure.” Hitoshi says.

“Cool.”

A few minutes later

Setting: A Burger King

“Usagiyama, when I said you can order as much as you want. That wasn’t a challenge.”

“You said that I can order as much as I want so that’s what I’m doing, anyways… I think that's all.”

“Okay so I’m going to repeat your order.” The Burger King worker says taking a deep breath in. “You want Two Double Steak Sauce Whoppers, a Premium Steak Sauce Whopper, Two Baby Body Burgers, a Wild West Burger Cheese Cowboy, you also want King Meal Double Cheeseburger and the Smoky BBQ Whopper Jr. Set, three Spicy whoppers, a teriyaki Whopper, five Classic Hot Dogs, five BBQ and Cheese Hot dogs, two Chili Cheese Fries, Two French fries and three Large Coca Colas? Did I miss anything?

“Nope you got it all.”

“Okay, well your total comes to… ¥14,107.” The worker says.

I pull out my neutral bank card and scan it.

“Cool, um are you two ordering separately?” The worker asks me and Hitoshi.

“Oh, I only want a Cheeseburger Set.” Hitoshi says. I look him up and down. He still looks malnourished. Oh well it’s not like I can force him to eat.

I scan my card again.

“I want the Triple Quattro Cheese Whopper Big Drink Set and two classic Hot Dogs with three Large French fries and Two Baby Body Burgers, a five Wild West Burger Cheese Cowboy and an Orange Juice.” I say, scanning my card. I’m going to need a lot of energy for the future. Energy mode equipped. “Where do you guys want to sit?”

“... How the hell do you two plan on eating that much?” Hitoshi asks.

.

.

.

Hitoshi’s Pov

“Hey Shinso if you don’t mind me asking, your quirk is a hypnosis type quirk.” Yagi asks.

“...Ye-yeah.” I say nervously. I had no idea how Yagi would react. Yagi isn’t a normal kid; he works with vigilantes and has enough sway with them to get them to do what he wants, and he also gets bullied, sure it’s because he’s quirkless, not because he has a villainous quirk. So, he probably won’t care about me having a villainous quirk. I already know Usagiyama won’t care. I think to myself. “It’s called Brainwashing…”

“THAT’S SO COOL!!” Yagi cheers. I blink at him.

“Wh-what-”

“With a quirk like that you’d make an amazing hero! You could end fights before they can start! You could stop a hostage situation instantly! Well, that’s assuming your quirk does work through your voice, I’m assuming that you have to ask a question to activate it. I’m guessing this cuz you didn’t actually touch Katsuki when you hypnotised him. Also, who the hell called your quirk Brainwashing? Unless there’s something about your quirk that I don’t know, your quirk is clearly a hypnosis quirk.” Yagi starts to mutter after a while. Usagiyama stared at Yagi in a little shock, as she was shoving a burger down her throat.

“Gross.” I say to Usagiyama who starts laughing… then she starts choking on the burger she was eating.

“Usagiyama!” Yagi jumped out of his chair and performed the Heimlich maneuver…perfectly as a spat up half eaten burger smacks into my face.

“...I hate you.”

“HAHAHAHA/hehehhahahaah” They both started laughing a little while Izuku stumbled over with some napkins.

“Oh, Greeny you should do me! Why am I going to be a great hero! I mean, I already know but hearing from you would be nice.” Usagiyama says.

“You guys didn’t think my muttering was weird or creepy?” Yagi asks.

“No/nope.” Usagiyama and I speak at nearly the exact same time. Yagi’s eyes get a little watery.

“Well, Usagiyama-” Yagi started but Usagiyama raises her hand.

“Call me Rumi.” Rumi says. Yagi nods.

“... You guys can call me Hitoshi if you want.” I say.

“... Well, if you two want to, feel free to call me Izuku.”

“Well Rumi your quirk…”

A couple of hours later,

Time: 6:30 Pm

Izuku’s Pov

“Are you guys sure you don’t want me to take you guys home?” I ask, a sad smile was on my face. I really wanted to continue hanging out with Hitoshi and Rumi.

“Nah, it’s fine Izuku. I wouldn’t want to burden you more. I mean I did cost you a lot of money.” Rumi says.

“No, thanks, Izuku.” Hitoshi says.

I smile at them… my… my friends… My phone was one number heavy; Hitoshi still doesn’t have a phone yet. Today has been quite interesting. Originally, I had only planned to get the recording from Rumi but… Instead, I spent three hours talking to Rumi and Hitoshi. I even helped them with their homework.

“We should do this again.” Rumi says.

“Yeah, we should.” Hitoshi says.

“Oh, of course, I’d love to.” I say. “Well, I’m off but hey, remember if you guys ever need help don’t be afraid to call or ask me about it.” My eyes looked over Hitoshi's face, where I could easily see the marks of a muzzle. At first, I had assumed it was just the left marks from the one he got from the Hollow Hand, but Haga had pointed out that they were too red. Unless Hitoshi ability to heal is so unbelievably weak, those marks should have healed more than they have and even then Hitoshi would have been healed by someone after I sent them to the police.

“Thanks.” Rumi says waving.

“...yeah, thanks.” Hitoshi says. I walk into an alleyway. I walk for a little before a door of light appears.

I let out a loud yawn.

“I should probably give the USB to Nezu.” I rub my eyes. “I’m tired?... Wait!?” I grab my wrist… The feeling was there, it was just kind of muted, but it was far more than before. “Huh, I guess my quirk is slowly healing me. Hmmm, sure I was already able to start feeling…YAWN… sleepy before but it was still muted but now…. Now it seems to come so easily.”

I pop my back before walking through the portal. “I’ll go to sleep later.”

Izuku/Mimir’s Pov

Setting: Ä̢̘̫̙̅̕͘͞ļ̆̈̈̆͏̟̠̥d̴̵̨̛̫̝̿̐̓̎́͝e̞̠̟̞͗̑́͑̈̑ŗ̢̦̜̩͂á̧̛̖̪̞̜͗̍͑̎͜͝ ̴̟̫̎̆̍͜͞͞P̨̪͂͏̠̫̗̈̕r̶̜̝̤̠̞̀͒͒͗̓͝͝ī̢̫̊͘͏̞̎ņ̨̧̢̙̫̪̪̓̿͗͜c̞̪̬̖̍̿̿͒i̶̙̤̟̖̍͜p̛̆̓́͏̢̝̫̿́̎ă̶̝̜͏̤̬͑̅͘l̶̜̪̿̎̐͗̊̓͘’̵̨̛̘̎̀̆͘ş̥̫̟̖͝͞ ̢̙̞̦̆̓͒͒̅̇̀͜ǫ̟̖̞̝͒̎̍̆͘f̧̫̙̊́̍̑͘͞f̴̨̛̪̦̗̦͑̑͘i̪̤͗͜͞ć̢̥̦͗̅́e̛̗̟̓̎̎́̈̑̈͏͑.

“So, you’re Mr. Rebelo?” The bastard that runs the school says.

“Yes, that’s my name. Now, Mr, I’m sure you’re wondering why I’m here. I know I wasn’t very descriptive over the phone.” I say, while pushing up my glasses, I was wearing a rather plain white suit with gold buttons and a white dress shirt. I have a black tie. Normally I’d wear something more interesting or nothing at all but unfortunately this bastard isn’t that exciting. I have short black hair right now.

“Yes, normally I wouldn’t indulge in this type of behaviour. So why are you here Mr. Rebelo.” The bastard asks me. I give him a small smile.

“I’m here as a social worker, of sorts. I handle legal stuff involving children. Now I know what you're about to ask, why didn’t I call and set up a meeting with the children and their parents? That’s because the child themself is at risk, both at home and school…” I say leaning closer to the bastard.

“...You're not a real social worker, are you?” The bastard says. Smarter than I thought… oh well.

“Ding, ding, ding, you’re smarter than you look. I’m a criminal, lawyer for one Izuku Yagi.” I smile before I stand up. “Before you think about hitting that panic button, I’ll have you know. It doesn’t work. Now, before you scream.” I pull up my suit enough to show off a pistol. The bastard’s face is completely pale. “Now you seem to be understanding the situation you find yourself in.” I snap my fingers which made the room completely soundproof. I feel as my smile slowly grows larger and larger before I shift in my Mimir form.

“Wh-who- WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU!!” The bastard Principal yells. I jump over the desk ready to pound his face into-

“Mimir, I need your help?” Nezu's voice speaks into my ear.

-

Setting: Nezu’s office, The real world

My eyes shot open, I let out a yawn.

“Did I fall asleep?” I ask. When the hell did that happen?

“Yeah, I’m surprised you’re comfortable enough to sleep in my office.” Nezu says. I rub the sleep out of my eyes. That was a fun dream.

“Yeah, yeah.” I say. Huh, I guess having so many quirks even while dormant they are taxing on my body. “How long was I asleep for?”

“... hmmm, seventeen hours, two minutes and eight seconds. Honestly, I thought you had died for a little while. Oh, and before you ask, I did try to stop All Might, Green Tornado, Midnight, Loud Cloud and Vlad King.” Nezu says. I blink at him before he points at a mirror. I tilt my head before walking over.

“...Is this permanent marker?” My face was covered in little pictures, moustaches and other things.

“Yes.” Nezu says. Hellflame Enhanced is equipped. I take a deep breath in before I set my head on fire. The Ink and doodles blistered and curled, drifting off in thin wisps of smoke. Nezu stares at me… I think.

Click.

I hear the click of a button. After a few seconds, I deactivate Hellflame Enhanced.

Me and Nezu stare at each other…

“So, what did you need help with?” I ask.

“Oh, it’s nothing much I managed to decipher most of your code, which was a real treat to do so, I must say. It actually took me ten hours to decipher, and it took me fifteen hours to stop needing to use a key I had made. Honestly, switching languages every hundred words is quite impressive oh, and having to do a puzzle every, one hundred quirks was lovely.” Nezu says happily while sipping some tea.

“Oh, don’t give me that much credit, I just used five hundred different code maker quirks, I half consider using one thousand, but I ran low on energy.” I say, subconsciously checking my energy reserves… I’m still going to need to eat a couple meals to make up the energy…

“HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAHHAHAAHHAAHAHAHAHAAH!!!!” Nezu starts laughing maniacally.

“I think I’m gonna go-”

“Nope! Like I said, I need your help Mimir.” Nezu looks like he’s about to leap out of his chair. “I need to pick your brain for some ideas!”

“Figuratively…right?” Nezu just smiles at me. I sigh. “As long as I get some food out of it.”

.

.

.

I collapse onto my bed. It’s been nine hours, nine bloody hours of Nezu asking me hundreds of questions about all of the quirks I managed to analyse from All For One. Normally I’d be happy when someone was so interested in my quirk analysis but there’s only so many times you can rebuttal someone asking you to work for them until you get annoyed. And outside all of what I learnt and Nezu, one thought had remained in my mind. I really want to fly.

I transform into Comet before my body slowly starts to shrink down. I feel float flowing inside of me…

“I want to float…” But nothing happens… Sigh, I was worried this was going to happen. The quirk refuses to activate or well it’s more like my body has no idea how to activate it. But like all things there’s a work around.

A door of light appears in front of me. I walk through, while walking I change my clothes to hide my appearance. A motorbike helmet on my head and thick clothes to conceal my gender.

“A twenty-story tall building. The best way to learn to fly, trying not to fall.” I walk closer to the edge. I take a deep breath in. I jump legs first.

My body reacts instantly; time seems to slow to a crawl. If I was a normal person, I’d likely be trying to think of every possibility to save myself. I turn slightly in the air to look back at the building. I’ve barely fallen five floors? Things are going really slow. Maybe float gives the user enhanced perception? Wait, are my eyes glowing?

In the slightly reflective glass, I could just barely see that my eyes glowed a faint pink or purple colour.

Izu-Izuku is that you!?” I hear Nana’s voice in my head.

“Ms Shimura! You’re speaking to me again!” I yelp in my mind, surprised and a little shocked.

IZUKU, ARE YOU FALLING!!!?” Nana yells.

“Um, yes.” My thoughts were now racing a million miles a second.

WHY AREN’T YOU USING FLOAT!?!?!?!” Nana yells.

I don’t know how to.” I say a little sheepish.

“WHY DIDN’T YOU ASK MIMIR!? Nana screams.

“Um… I did and he tried to explain it to me but um I wasn’t getting it, so Mimir told me that the best way to learn to fly is trying not to fall. So, I jumped off a twenty-story building. But don’t worry Mimir is nearby ready to catch me… Probably.” I say. I completely made that up on the spot.

“WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!! THAT FUCKING BASTARD THAT’S HORRIBLE ADVICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Nana screams. “IF THAT BASTARD WANTED TO TEACH YOU TO FALL, HE SHOULD HAVE DONE TRUST FALLS UNTIL FLOAT WORKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Oh…Shimura has a point… why did I think that jumping off a twenty-story building was a good idea? I think to myself, I made sure to make my thoughts private.

I look down. My eyes shoot open or well they start doing that. I was barely five meters from hitting the ground.

I distantly hear Nana screaming.

COME ON FLOAT BETTER LATE THEN NEVER!!!!!!!!!

BOOM!!!

I find myself being launched at top speed, up. My body made a sonic boom. I shot right past the building and blasted into a cloud.

OW, FUCK, SHIT!” I try and fail to move my arms to cover my face. As it turns out flying through a cloud kind of hurts. Though my helmet and thick clothes do limit the pain. I blink my eyes open. I find myself looking up at the night sky.

My eyes widen… I take off my helmet. When was the last time I actually looked at the night sky?

“...It looks amazing, doesn’t it? Nana states. Hundred stars that were twinkled like fireflies. It almost looks like glitter. There was a faint aurora of all different colours. It was comforting and it reminded me of the quirkspace when I had turned into All For One…

“Yeah…” I say out loud. I start to float down. I put my helmet back on my head.

“Izuku, um if you don’t mind. I have a few questions.” Nana says.

“What are they?” I ask. I land on top of a building deciding to sit on the edge with my feet dangling.

“I thought you were quirkless… but clearly you have a quirk…” Nana asks gently. I look up. The sky was filled with clouds and the stars weren’t as easy to see.

“...So did I but, Mimir found out I wasn’t. After he saved my life as payment Mimir asked to see if he could ‘haunt’ someone who was quirkless since when he ‘haunts’ people it’s like he latches onto their quirk. Well, it turns out I’m less quirkless than I originally thought.” I say. It was the fake backstory I had prepared for people who found that I had some sort of connection to Mimir.

Oh… have you told your parents?” Nana asks.

My parents… My parents…” I saw sparks of green, purple, red, silver, yellow, light pink and pink energy flowing off of me in waves. I could feel my quirks shaking. ShapeSmith pulses multiple times the sound of glass reverse cracking feels my mind. “MY PARENTS! WHY HAVEN’T I TOLD MY PARENTS ABOUT MY QUIRK!? BECAUSE THEY ABOUNDED ME THE FIRST CHANCE THEY GOT!! AS SOON AS THEY HEARD I WAS QUIRKLESS!! I’M LUCKILY, THEY HAVEN’T THROWN ME TO THE CURB!!!” I could feel multiple quirks activate. Lightning blasts off of me, fire flows in wave, a tornado forms behind me growing by the moment, clones of myself form, erasure activates, hundreds of shadowy eyes form. I could feel rage filling my veins, distantly I could hear Nana’s voice. My fists clench. But as quick as that rage fills me it soon disappears. Everything grew dull… I speak into my mind in my Mimir voice.

Izuku has gone through enough today.” I remove, float from the quirkspace and Nana’s voice disappears. I was panting a faint ringing was in my ears. I mental check all the quirks I accidentally equipped. Hmmm they unequipped themselves… that could be bad if that happen… My mental observation lands on ShapeSmith…

“Oh, so that’s how it is.” I say.

ShapeSmith: Health: 15%: Massive amounts of energy had and was still pouring into ShapeSmith. Over 90% of the Energy I had gain, healing ShapeSmith though it was very inefficient. I didn’t even know I could do that. Hmmmm…

“Oh well, it can’t be helped.”

Notes:

I hope you all enjoyed this chapter. It was a pain to write and I felt that it was a little too quick in some places. But I know if I didn't upload this chapter now it'd take like another week to get this up.

Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed and please feel free to give feedback or even give ideas.

The next chapter: Mimir isn't a very good fighter.
