Summary
A lethal variant is carving a bloody path through the Sacred Timeline, and the TVA’s only play is an uneasy alliance between by‑the‑book Agent Mobius and Loki, the illustrious god of mischief he arrested. From interrogation rooms to Sokovia and a showdown with the Avengers, the pair chase the variant through collapsing branches while the TVA’s own politics close in around them. Each mission leaves Mobius a little more battered and Loki a little less guarded, until rescuing the analyst becomes as important to Loki as stopping the killings. Yet amid the close calls and near-apocalypses, an unexpected gravity draws Loki and Mobius closer in a timeline-defying relationship.

Mobius couldn’t help but smile. Thinking the cockiness of the god was both cute and a bit odd. After all, the TVA had captured this man in a heartbeat. And yet he sat there making it seem like he was stronger and better than any around…Though Mobius knew how deadly Loki could be. He also knew of his self-loving and power hungry ways. He knew if he stroked the man’s ego enough he’d comply.
