Chapter Text
“For today’s special guest, we have the smoking hot Violet Lanes. Her new release has us all swooning. Especially Yukon.” The host announces, the biggest smile on her face. It’s true, Violet is smoking hot, and the feedback and excitement of her new album release has been so positive and slightly overwhelming for her. “Please welcome Violet Lanes.”
Violet smiles and waves to the audience, walking over to the hot seat and enjoying the cheers and applauses from the audience.
“I love you Vi!” A girl in the audience screams when the cheers slowly die down. And Violet chuckles.
“Congrats on the new album! We all love it so much.” The host says. She’s blushing, Violet can tell. Who wouldn’t with THE Violet Lanes sat right in front of you?
“You seem to have found yourself in a huge scandal?” The host speaks, a slight smile on her lips as she looks at Violet, who is sat looking ever so laid back.
“Oh, wow, we’re just jumping straight into it.” Violet chuckles. “Yeah, only slightly.” The crowd cheering at the sight of her smirk and the way she tucks a piece of hair behind her ear.
“So many headlines and you’ve really found yourself in the spotlight! News article after news article.”
Violet hums.
“Do you know this woman? Is she a fan or someone you know?”
“I know nothing about this woman. This whole thing just came out of nowhere.” Violet responds, looking at the host as she speaks.
“Also, just to add onto this, how did the daughter of Cassandra Kiramman get dragged into this mess? Is she a friend?”
Violet hums. Oh, Caitlyn. She misses her so much. With the whole scandal going on, it made it so difficult for the two of them to see each other. For months! And after that awful break in, god, she wished she was there to protect her. But deep down, Violet knows Caitlyn would’ve managed on her own. She’s a strong girl, and she couldn’t be more proud of her.
“Yes, you could say that.” Violet winks with a cheeky smirk on her lips. “She’s a really close friend of mine and honestly I need to apologise to her in person for everything that went on.”
“Yeah, seems like she almost died!” The host laughs. Violet frowns slightly. That’s not really funny… “Anything you’d like to say to the audience whilst we’re currently live.”
“Which camera? Oh- This one?” She nods when she’s pointed to camera A. “To set the record straight once and for all. None of it is true. I don’t know this girl nor am I starting a family with her. I have one girl in mind, and she’s everything I ever need.” Violet looks directly into the camera as she speaks. The truth has to be said sooner than later. It’s all getting out of hand. “She’s the most beautiful girl I’ve ever laid my eyes on.”
The audience is in awe with the she spoke about this mysterious girl, hands in their chests and smiling.
“What inspired you to make this album? There’s such a mix.”
Violet laughs softly, readjusting her shirt before saying, “Well, most of the songs are inspired by this one girl. I assume we all know who Maria is about.” And the crowd whoops at that comment.
After a few more minutes of talking with the host, Violet performs a song.
The crowd cheering and hollering as she stands on the stage. The music playing before she begins to sing.
-Flatline
The crowd scream as Violet begins to sing. Violet holding onto the mic as she sings, pouring her heart out.
-I was out there on the road, life out of control
she became a victim to my busy schedule
And I know that it’s not fair, but that don’t mean that I don’t care
This one’s dedicated to the girl out there.
-
The beat of her song plays in the arena, the lights strobing before landing onto Violet as her lyrics begin.
-She said she met me on a tour
She keeps knocking on my door
She won’t leave me, leave me alone~
She locks in, focusing heavily on her choreography as she sings.
-‘Cause she wanted all my attention, she was dragging my name through the dirt, no
She was dying for my affection, but she got mad ‘cause I didn’t give it to her
I’m talking to you.
She points into the camera, a cock of her head before she begins her chorus. The crowd hollers.
-Maria~ why you wanna do me like that?
Violet sings her heart out, strutting to the east side of the stage. Her back up dancers playing a role in the song as she gently pushes them away; it’s part of the choreography.
-That ain’t my baby, that ain’t my girl.
Her eyes search the VIP booths up top, hoping to see Caitlyn sat beside her mother. But with the flashy lights and darkness in front of her, it’s hard to make out if she is there or not. Even a slight glimpse of Cassandra made her think she’s sat there. God, they look so alike it’s driving Violet insane.
All because of this stupid scandal.
A dumb scandal involving a crazy fan and some made up story about Violet.
-Maria~ why you wanna play me like that?
Number One Fan Claims Popstar, Violet Lanes, Has Proposed to Her.

-She ain’t my baby, she ain’t my girl.
Cassandra Kiramman’s Indie Star, Caitlyn Kiramman, House Broken into by Crazy Fan.
-‘Cause she talking in, and she needs to quit
‘Cause I never hit it, all I know she’s not mine.
If Violet was completely honest with herself, she absolutely hates performing this song, considering she has already cleared the air on talk shows, the news about this damn fan.
-Now she’s in the magazines, on tv, making a scene.
Oh, she’s crazy, crazy in love.
And she’s all over the news, saying everything but the truth.
She’s faking, faking it all.
She struts back to the west side of the stage, the dancers stumbling and falling behind her as she sings with her entire heart.
-Why are you trying? Trying to lie, girl
When I ain’t never met you at all
Saying goodbye, but how could ya
You throw this, you prove this
Your foolishness, seduces
Violet hops down from the stage and runs across the barricade, giving her fans high-fives and singing to them before reaching the end of her song where she climbs back up onto the stage, pulling the camera man close to her.
-She’s not my girl!
Violet looks straight into the camera, panting heavily and smirks, listening to way her fans holler and scream her name. “I love you, Cait.” She winks, a soft smile on her lips before the lights dim and she exits the stage, readjusting her ear piece back into her ear and getting a touch up of her makeup, her sweat patted away as they prepare her for the next song on the set list.
“One more song and we’re done! You got this Vi.” One of the crew members say, holding a thumbs up when the rest of the team were ready to send her back onto the stage.
After an hour of singing, talking to her fans and reading out some of the signs they have, she finally heads back stage. She’s so ready to just get changed into some sweats and a hoodie. It had been a long ass day, waking up crazy early to rehearse, painful meetings, meet and greets for VIPs and then finally the tour itself. She’s so ready to sleep. This show is her last show of the tour and she simply can’t wait to just relax for a few months. She had announced she is taking a haitus, a well deserved break.
As she walks to her allocated room, she grabs a bottle of water before stepping inside. She stops as she looks up, seeing a cobalt haired girl looking at herself in the mirror and humming to the song she just sang on stage.
“Hey Violet.”
