Chapter Text

Wizard and his friends, the fellow Gingerbrave, Strawberry, Custard III, and of course, Chili Pepper cookie (who was digging through bushes in search of chests), were walking along the path. Wizard was using his staff to get through most of the snow. Winter had just begun for the kingdom, yet Gingerbrave still insisted on exploring the area to find more supplies and information about the still missing Pure Vanilla Kingdom.
Custard cookie III broke the silence with a loud and exaggerated sigh.
"I'M SOOOOOO BORED," He complained, waving about his arms. Chili Pepper cookie let out a scoff in response.
"You wouldn't be if you would HELP US SEARCH FOR STUFF!" She huffed in irritation, throwing a stick at Custard III, who murmured something along the lines of 'well so be it'.
"Cmon guys, stop arguing! We'll find something soon enough!" Gingerbrave smiled brightly, attempting to encourage the two bickering cookies trailing behind him.
"Gingerbrave is right..." Strawberry perked up slightly, nodding in agreement. "If we give up now, we might miss something."
Custard III and Chili Pepper stopped, both eventually mumbling aligned okays. They all went on their way in the group yet again, each of them still trying to find anything salvageable while at the same time avoiding any hazardous seeming problems or obstacles (example: the very deep hole Custard III almost fell in).
"Hmph. If you ask me, we should've stayed in the kingdom! There's nothing out here but a ton of garbage," Chili Pepper stated after a while of actually being quiet. Custard cookie III didn't argue back at first, as he was busy with shaking a few ice cream trees to try and make a marker so they would remember which way to go back when they were done and returning, but after a moment he finally replied.
"Hey! We might find something out here!" He protested, which prompted Chili Pepper to throw a pine cone at him. Custard III gasped in exasperation, before throwing it back after finding it in the snow once more. They began to go back and forth bickering, shouting, and tossing.
Eventually they stopped. Not because they grew tired, but because Chili Pepper cookie spotted something and had leapt at it screaming "DIBS!"
Gingerbrave and Custard III quickly followed to see what she had found, with Strawberry cookie dragging behind a bit just to be safe.
"AHA!" Chili Pepper held something up in her hand before pulling her hand down and opening it. Inside it was a sapphire colored and tear shaped gemstone with a golden colored backdrop.
"Woah! What a find!" Gingerbrave gasped, his eyes sparkling with curiosity. Chili Pepper held it in the air once more, a victorious grin on her face as Custard III tried to jump up to see what they were mystified over yet failing as he tripped into the snow.
"Hey uh... are we not going to question where it might've come from...?" Strawberry cookie inquired, holding out her hand to help Custard cookie III up from the ground since he was struggling to get out of the bundled up pile.
"Good point, Strawberry cookie!" Gingerbrave nodded, his smile never leaving his face. Chili Pepper was examining it and still holding it high enough where Custard cookie III couldn't snatch it—he was trying to, though.
"Let me see," Wizard cookie demanded as he stepped forward, waving his staff. He raised his hat slightly to see out of his hair as Chili Pepper reluctantly held it down so he could get a glimpse of it. It seemed a bit familiar, but he couldn't put his finger on it. After a moment he shrugged. "Sorry, dunno."
"THEN IT'S MINE!" Chili Pepper announced with a triumphant laugh of joy. Custard cookie III whined in irritation.
"Why should she get it?! I'm the king!"
"Because I FOUND IT!"
"She has a point-" Gingerbrave added in, causing Custard cookie III to continue to bicker with Chili Pepper cookie over it.
Wizard wasn't exactly paying attention to the argument, staring behind the group and keeping an eye out. The cake hounds and monsters had all disappeared for hibernation or whatever, so it was rather quiet. Too quiet to him, at least. The others were enjoying the momentary peace, but he felt something off about the silence.
He froze as he noticed a rustle in the frozen over bushes behind them. It broke the strange silence. Another followed, then a snap—more than likely a twig. Wizard glanced back at his friends, curious if any of them had also noticed. Nope. They were too busy searching ahead of each other and/or chatting, their guards obviously down.
Wizard then looked back at the bushes, sulking towards them after a moment of hesitation.. It wasn't wise to go towards the creepy noises, but what'd he have to lose (well, his life, but we're not gonna talk about that)? He poked around at where the noise had originated at using his staff, before deciding there wasn't anything there after he didn't hit anything. He turned back around, making the mistake of letting his guard down for a split second as he started to walk away and back towards his friends.

Suddenly, something jumped at him with an excited sounding shriek.

Suddenly, something jumped at him with an excited sounding shriek.

Chili Pepper was the first to react to the noise, turning and holding up her dagger protectively. The others copied so, with Strawberry cookie shakily holding up her lollipop. However, it didn't look like Wizard had been attacked; more like... hugged?

Wizard had fallen on the ground after the strange cookie or whatever it was had tackled him, attempting to hit them with his staff as he waved it around and rolled about. After a moment, he realized he had managed to hit the creature off of him, and he quickly hopped up and away with an "EEK!"

The creature was lying on the ground on their back, groaning in agony. Its face was covered with a pointy hat decorated with a star jelly and blue ribbon. The thing, which actually seemed to be a cookie, was wearing a navy blue robe with a staff connected to a jelly bean by their side. They had dropped it when they jumped at Wizard cookie. Actually, the cookie writhing on the ground was rather similar to... Wizard cookie.
"You have a CLONE?!" Gingerbrave gasped, quickly stepping forwards and forgetting whatever it was might be hostile. He poked it, which made Wizard cookie jump slightly as he noticed it twitch. The cookie suddenly hopped up, about Gingerbrave's height, prompting Gingerbrave to back up quickly.
"WIZARD COOKIE!" The cookie, now identified as a she by her voice, shrieked once again in joy. Wait a second. That voice... the hat... the robe—it was all too familiar. Was that...

"SISTER?!" Wizard exclaimed with a gasp, dropping his staff as it landed with a thud.

"SISTER?!?!" They all screaming in unison in mild confusion.

Wizard cookie has a SISTER???
