   Summary

   Sydney Gage could not have picked a worse time to realize she was in love with her best friend, Nathen DeSoto. She made the realization while dangling off the edge of a canyon with the only thing keeping her from falling into the raging wildfire beneath them being a burning rope tied to Nathen's waist. To spare him, Sydney makes a split second decision to cut her lifeline.
